On Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at approximately 1355 hours, Walmart loss prevention staff began monitoring a female subject inside the store after observing behavior consistent with retail theft. Surveillance footage from multiple angles captures the subject at the selfch checkckout area. The footage shows her scanning a limited number of items while discreetly bagging additional merchandise that was never properly scanned. She places the unscanned items into Walmart shopping bags, then loads them back into her cart. [music] Throughout the process, she maintains the appearance of completing a legitimate transaction, occasionally glancing toward nearby employees and other customers. As she continues her checkout, a Walmart loss prevention associate approaches, posing as a regular employee, assisting with the selfch checkckout system. The associate scans a small item, appearing to help, but in reality does so to avoid alerting her, while the store manager walks over, takes control of the cart, and instructs [music] her to follow them, securing control of the shopping cart for observation. Once the interaction concludes, the subject begins to leave the selfch checkckout area. The loss prevention associate and manager director [music] toward the back office for further review. Surveillance footage then shows the group walking toward the customer service area where the associate [music] positions the cart near the counter while maintaining visual contact with her. The video shows Beverly standing nearby, appearing upset [music] and arguing with employees. As another Walmart employee approaches, they begin moving the cart [music] toward the back office. At this point, Beverly notices her cart being taken away. Her demeanor changes immediately. She steps back from the customer service area and begins slowly walking toward [music] the store's exit. As she nears the doors, she abandons the area and merchandise and continues walking [music] as if attempting to leave the premises. Outside, responding officers are already arriving in reference to the report of a theft in progress. [music] [music] >> [music] >> involving a long >> the one that went to customer service. >> Yeah.
