I smell a really strong stink, soon as I got by the elevator. >> It's a It's a dead body down up on that stairwell. >> Hold on. That's not >> Some moments are so disturbing that even the most experienced officers freeze. But what happens when that exact reaction is captured on a body cam? >> We have one, looks like he's beyond help. >> Okay, are you breathing, brother? Can you hear me? >> Oh, yeah, he's been down for a while, bro. >> These are the six most disturbing police discoveries caught on body cam. We begin with the case of a YouTuber who vanished after a night out, and the discovery that led investigators to a man who had been hiding in plain sight. >> I'm saying though, this person that >> [music] >> they've been here for a while. >> On the ground now. Get on the ground. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> THERE is an orange cap for like a hypodermic needle, but I didn't see any other needles. >> You said he drug it down, drug it up under the stairwell, threw it on the ground. >> On August 30th, 2023, a parking garage worker in downtown Atlanta caught a smell he couldn't ignore and followed it down a stairwell nobody used. Crouching beneath the steps, he found something that made him dial 911 immediately, and what officers discovered when they arrived would take them [music] weeks to fully unravel. >> There's a strong odor. >> All right, yeah. >> There's my phone. >> It's been there for a minute. >> Yeah. >> There's my phone. >> What is this particular call? >> And you got security? >> So >> Hey, is anybody in 1503? Are you still on the air? >> So, when I got here, I smelled a really strong stink, soon as I got by the elevator. And now, you're just going to go in here and clean up stuff like that. But you know how you think it's a dead rat or something like that. I I walking, and walking, I said, "I don't see nothing, I don't see nothing." I took a little walk a little farther and I walked a little farther and I said, "Oh." And both of them is calling me. Got you. >> What what's the address to this command center? Okay, the head was covered up, right? >> But yeah, it was covered. >> I don't know what I I found right there. >> And what like a female or male to you? >> To me, it looked kind of like a female. >> That [ __ ] small? >> Mhm. >> Probably saying that it's going to be a confirmed for you. There's an order coming from the location. So, she been for a while. I look like a white female. Hello. >> No, he he he just want to know what's what's what's going on. >> I don't know I don't know myself, so I just told Yeah, it's a dead is a body there up on the stairwell. So, >> Yeah, I talked to them. I talked to the security. They walked the stairwells last night. Said they didn't see [clears throat] anything. >> No, there's a smell coming from there. So, even they didn't see nothing, they would have they No. >> Well, we have we have we have people through the garage all night because of masquerade. >> I'm saying though this person that's dead been dead for a while. So, they walked the stairwell, they would have seen her up under the stairwell. So, she she didn't just die last night. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Well, that's I guess what that's what I'm saying that we have people walking that stairwell all hours, all day, all night. So, >> 25-7 radio. >> yesterday night. But we had contract >> What did they access the cameras? >> I only showed her the video and she had I believe her exact words were "Yes, that's my grandson. I can tell the way he walks, the by the shape of his body, and the way he wears his hair. That's my grandson, Jaquavious. >> Officers examined the scene and immediately noticed things that didn't add up. The victim was completely undressed with no clothes or belongings anywhere nearby. A needle cap lay on the ground, but the positioning of her body didn't match [music] an OD. Someone had tried to make her disappear. >> That is like hidden there somewhere. You would have to literally crawl in there to see it. >> Is there what people don't walk down from up there down this way? >> I mean, like sometimes cuz they feel like this is >> the best route to go. >> No, I'm saying right now. Like nobody's going to be walking where I got it. >> No, that's what I'm saying. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I mean, we close this off the monthly. Yeah. So, nobody can >> Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I got they going to come out and take pictures and all that. Um I'm pretty sure it's going to be a confirm. It's smell, you know, it's a smell down there. >> Okay. Okay. I hear you. >> I told him all all of y'all just want to double check, but I told him I ain't need y'all, but >> The thing is I'd still rather bring it. Is it in the stairwell? >> Yeah, it's at the bottom. But the >> I mean, we're going to we're going We're going to bring it anyway. >> Okay. >> What's it parked by the stairs? Worst case, we just carry it up. >> Yeah, I'm about It's a smell coming from down there, so No, this was a homeless. She was She's naked. >> She's a homeless? There's no clothes or anything on her. So, she's a homeless, though? >> Yes, she's uh under the stairwell. >> Oh, no. That's not Oh. Okay. All right. But, that's what are you? >> No. >> Right. >> Oh, homelessness? Um there is an orange cap for like a hyperdermic needles, but I didn't see any other needles. >> Well, there's a needle laying right back there. >> So, just following this body's position, it doesn't look like and the way she shoved up, she is shoved all the way up underneath this step. >> As officers continued examining the scene, one of them spotted a wristband still wrapped around the victim's arm, the kind you get at a concert venue. It read Ally Cat Music Club, a spot just 2 minutes from the garage. The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Mitchell Dung, a YouTube vlogger, and that tiny detail on her wrist was about to give investigators exactly what they needed. >> But, he also one of the the parking lot managers. >> Well, they got the name on the on it? >> I I don't know. >> Hopefully it does. >> Sometimes some of them are just so generic. >> Yeah. >> That one don't look like the typical >> But, they also said there was a comedy club that just opened up in there. >> Okay. Ally Cat Music Club. >> Who? >> Ally Cat Music Club. >> Yeah, they uh had an event uh this past Saturday. They got a Instagram, so it was this past Saturday. >> it? What kind of event was it? >> It was Victor Calderon and Jimmy Marcondes Osini. >> August 26th. >> Yep, that Saturday. >> Yep, he got he got the information. Oh, Denise died here. It's a good job, man. >> [laughter] >> It's a good job. >> Trying to see if they got any mass posts that's there and people posted like, "Where is my friend?" or anything. >> Yeah, that's that's the other thing. >> Perfectly normal person, too. That there. Probably somebody who knows dirt and dirt again. >> This is Brenda. Her picture sure look like she's a party type. So, I know. >> She must have had a good reason to show up. >> I think somebody that and down here there's some more. >> That's what I was saying. I think this is a body dump. And they're like >> The last is tomorrow. >> Yeah, tomorrow. But don't try to do >> Yeah, if they were smart, they would have took that offer. >> Oh, and Fallon was at the House of Techno Club. >> Oh. >> Just came here for a rave. And they don't know who they're feeling with their last moments. >> Sad enough. >> Family members confirmed the victim had attended a show at Ally Cat on August 26th, 4 days before her body was found. Surveillance cameras captured a man leaving the venue around the same time. When the suspect's grandmother watched the footage, she recognized the walk and the hair instantly. It was her grandson, 24-year-old Jaquavious Arnold. On September 22nd, officers tracked Jaquavious to an animal shelter and took him down. >> 300 300 >> On the ground. On the ground now, MOTHER GET ON THE GROUND. ON THE GROUND. HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? >> YES. Put up your hands. >> You get something on the taser, do you understand me? Put your hands >> Do not move. Get up. >> Help me up, sir. >> I got you. >> Thank you, guys. >> Stop. Stop right there. >> I really am. Thank you for not getting me. Thank you. Thank you, sir. Thank y'all. Thank y'all. Thank y'all. I needed this. I really did. I need to go in. I needed this cuz I am a horrible person. I really am a horrible person, brother. I need to go down for a long time, brother. I have no words. I have nothing else. This is all I can say, brother. You wish me the best, brother. >> Huh? >> Where are you at? >> We need to secure him in one of y'all's car. >> Yeah. >> Let's go. Put him in the red one. >> Uh no, sergeant. >> Get in there. >> I'm sorry, [laughter] y'all. I'm sorry, y'all. I want to apologize to everyone. >> Okay, cool. What he did. >> We need a baggie for his stuff. >> What he did. What he did. >> Huh? >> I'll tell you what he did. >> During questioning, Jakavious laid out exactly what happened that night. How he spotted Mitchell after the concert, how he approached [music] her, and what he did once he got her alone. By the time Jacquavious finished talking, it was clear this wasn't a moment of panic, it was a plan. >> He observed Mitchell Dane walking to the street. >> Did he know her name? >> He did mention her name. Uh he said that she stumbled out into the street. Uh he approached her. >> If I could Hey, can I interrupt? You said while we were watching the video that Mitchell stumbled at one point. You said that would be significant. Is this why? >> Yes, it's very significant. Uh on the video we see her stumbling out of Frame. This is where I believe that she came in contact with Jacquavious. >> What did he say next? >> He said that he walked up He walked up to her, asked her if she needed help. He said that she screamed at him, said, "Get away from me." He insisted and persisted to help her. Uh finally, she gave in to the help. Uh she said that she said that "I'm trying to find my vehicle." That's when he told her, "I can help you find your car." Uh that's when he came in possession of her keys and her phone. And he masqueraded as a good citizen by walking her around. Uh he said they got into the parking deck. As we see on camera, he said he got into the stairwell. Um [clears throat] his words were as they walked into the stairwell, she started scratching him. Uh he said he put her down, picked her up under the stairwell, uh threw her on the ground. until she passed out. >> he say happened next? >> At that point, he said he stripped her clothes. Um I asked her why he stripped her of her clothes. He said because of DNA. He said he watches TV, watches how we investigate cases. He took all of all of her clothes, stuffed it in his book bag. He stuffed her naked body up under the stairwell. He grabbed a newspaper, tried to cover her head. He said he walked out of the parking deck. He broke her phone, threw it away, realized he left his sunglasses up under her body. Went back to the body, picked the body up, grabbed her grabbed his sunglasses, pushed her, stuffed her body more up under the stairwell, and that's when he left. Admitted to two other assaults, also possible homicide in a different jurisdiction. >> Dekalb Arnold was charged with taking a life, unlawful imprisonment, serious physical assault, [music] theft, and several other offenses. A judge ordered him held without bond. Dekalb also admitted to two other attacks on women, >> [music] >> and investigators believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward. >> Next up, we have the case of a firefighter who vanished without a trace. And after months of searching, what detectives found beneath his own carport left everyone speechless. >> By chance, have you seen your neighbors over at 97 Heather? >> No, sir. I have. I've been really worried about him. >> I'm seeing anything different. >> No, it looks exactly the same. >> Doesn't look like anyone's been here. >> She specifically told you that she shot him. >> Yeah, that's what she said. >> Shut up, SNATCH YOURSELF. SNATCH WHAT? >> ON MAY 12TH, 2025, deputies in Cloudcroft, New Mexico were asked to check on 60-year-old Craig Fetford after his family and business partner hadn't heard from him in nearly 4 months. But, what detectives were about to hear from the people closest to Craig would slowly paint a picture that no one wanted to believe. >> Communications on a recorded line. How can I help you? >> Who would I talk to to have a wellness check done on an individual? >> That would be me. What's going on? >> His name is Craig Fetford. Everybody here in Texas has been trying to get a hold of Craig for nearly 2 months. We We can't get a hold of his wife. We're really concerned about him because this is not like him. He always answers his phone or calls back. Nobody can get a hold of him. >> Sheriff's office. Sheriff's office. >> Doesn't look like there's anyone in there. Um no lights on, nothing like that. >> Deputy Ventura with the sheriff's office. >> By chance, have you seen your your neighbors over at 97 Heather? >> No, sir. I haven't. I I've been really worried about him >> Okay. >> since January. >> Since January? >> Yeah. >> So, is it like do they do they live here like part-time or is it like uh full-time kind of thing? Do do you know? >> Well, he moved up here They moved up here full-time. >> Okay. >> Uh this was back about 2 years ago. And we were real good friends and everything. >> Okay. >> And we were both on the James Canyon Fire Department. >> Mhm. >> And then come January, it was just no contact. >> We were looking for Craig Setford. >> Yeah, we haven't heard from Craig. >> Okay. How long has it been since you have spoken to him or seen him? >> been since January. >> Since about January? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Dina is my friend. Um she's in and out from the house down there. >> Okay. >> She hasn't really talked to him, either, which is weird. >> And when was the last time you saw Dina here in the in the area? >> Um it's probably been about 3 weeks now. >> About 3 weeks? >> Yeah. >> Got you. Craig's grandson called the sheriff's office with the same fear. Craig's grandson didn't believe his grandfather would vanish without a word, and he pointed to the one person who claimed to still be in contact with him, his wife, Dina. When detectives finally reached her, her answers only raised more questions than they settled. >> Communications on a recorded line, how can I help you? >> Okay, this is going to seem really really strange. About 4 months ago, my grandpa had went off the like face of the of the world, and he's a volunteer firefighter up there. He loved to do it. He talked to me about that all the time. And so, I'd like to place a wellness check, but the only person that said she's talked to him in 4 months is uh his wife, and apparently now they're getting a divorce. He's doing a whole bunch of stuff, but I don't I don't believe it. It's not my grandpa. It's just really strange. >> And what's his name? >> Craig Setford. >> I'm from the Otero County Sheriff's Office. Is this >> Yes, sir, sure is. >> Yes, sir. So, I was calling in regards to I believe your your grandfather. >> Grandpa, yes, sir. Craig Stanford. >> Can you tell me what's going on? >> Okay, so I mean this he he went like completely ghost from the family for I mean this started January I mean he last talked to my grandma when she was in the hospital. And so I mean I wasn't really worried about it cuz I mean if he went like a month or 2 months without texting us or contacting anybody then I mean it's just that that, but whenever Mother's Day cuz he didn't call his mother. And so it's like like I said it's been about 4 months since like he hasn't texted nobody, but he just randomly went missing and his wife is the only one that has had contact with him. >> Have you guys had any contact with his wife? >> Yeah, she came over to my grandma's today saying he's apparently gone AWOL and he's going talking to other girls. And that he's working at another, but I don't I don't believe that. He wouldn't ghost his family. >> I was calling in in reference to your husband Craig. >> Yes. >> So, we we got some calls. There were some concerns. Um it seems that uh he hasn't been in contact with a lot of his family and and some of his friends. >> Right. Yeah, we're we're we we have been separated and I recently filed for divorce. Um he's kind of >> [snorts] >> went uh He's involved with someone else and so uh currently he's in Mexico. >> In Mexico? Okay. >> Yeah, El Salto. >> Um do you would you happen to have an address for him or anything like that? >> Well, I don't. All I know is by credit card charges and um, I don't I'm I came to Texas for Mother's Day and I haven't gotten back there yet. >> That's right. When was the last time you saw him in person? >> Before he left. >> Okay. Would you have an estimate like, you know, was it like 1 week, 2 weeks? >> I wish I had a calendar. Um, this is the 12th. Um, the first of the first of the month. >> First of the month? >> And that that is definitely an estimate. >> Okay. And you saw him in person, correct? >> Yes. Yes, he [music] was packing. Yes. >> Where was this at? Was this at your residence on Heatherwilde? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes, he Yes, he he has moved out essentially. >> The phone call with Dina dropped and she stopped answering. So, detectives went to the Dina's house. >> Hi, good morning. Dina? >> Yes. >> Hi. Good morning. Good morning. Hey, I'm doing some follow I'm Roger. I'm sorry. Roger School. >> I think we met at a base football game. >> Probably did. I'm trying to do some follow up on Craig. And I thought maybe I can meet with you and you could try kind of help me and give me some information. >> Sure. >> What can we sit somewhere? >> Come over here. Let me help >> All right. Okay, well, obviously we got some calls because people haven't been hearing from her or anything. So, you being the wife, you might be able to help me. >> Well, it's his mom. I talked to his mom. >> His mom? >> I had [clears throat] gone to visit her Monday, I guess. >> This last Monday? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I guess she called y'all to see if y'all could catch him up here. He only shows up when I leave. >> Oh, really? So, you guys aren't >> No, we have been having some issues. Um, >> Okay. >> I guess you would say we're separated. >> How long's that been going on? >> Um, well nothing's legal yet. Um, we haven't been really spending much time together since probably February. >> February? Early February, late February? >> or mid-February. >> Since mid-February. Okay. And then so things weren't working out, so you left, he left? How did that >> He left. He's He told me Well, he first went to Texas cuz he was said he needed to go help his mom. >> So, he left here to go help his mom? >> That's That was what he said, yes. >> When was that? >> That was uh like probably maybe the second week or of February that he [clears throat] left the first time. >> So and that was like the second week of February? >> You You'll have to bear with me because I don't keep track of time at all, but yeah, it was February. And supposedly he would stay there a week and then come back on the weekend. >> And you're thinking this is maybe the Socorro Fire Academy or the Albuquerque Fire Academy? >> Um, well, all he ever really told me was um Albuquerque. >> Okay. >> But then, you know, and and it just and and I just you know, whatever. And uh sometime in February, you know, I kind of started getting feeling resentful and I asked him to start spending more time with me >> Mhm. >> and doing things and he just he just put this above everything. And my This is Now, this is my side and that's how I feel. >> Mhm. And that was in February, too? >> Um February, maybe March first of March or No, it was the end of February because it was my mom's birthday. My mom's birthday is the 27th. >> As the questioning began, Dina explained how Craig had been coming and going for months, leaving notes on a whiteboard instead of speaking to her directly. A detail that struck the detective as deeply strange. >> Was he calling you or you all were texting each other? >> talking to me at at the fight. When we had the fight, he stopped talking to me. >> So, that was all back in late February, right? In late February, that's the time frame. So, >> February >> March or early March. >> Yeah, you know, he did start staying away. >> Mhm. >> Um >> [clears throat] >> And but when I would come home, I mean, he's been here. Um It [clears throat] got to the point where he would just leave me a note like that one. Over there. >> Can you grab it for me? I don't >> Yeah, I'll ask him. >> Ooh, waiting to get cataract surgery done on my eyes. They're not working too great. Oh, I'm sorry. >> I've gotten to where I have to wear my glasses all the time. Now, this There's been several. This is This is our communication right here for the last 2 months. >> Okay. >> And there's been several, but this is the Now, this one is from not like 2 weeks ago. >> Dina claimed everything was fine, but she was too calm for someone whose husband had vanished. Then, without realizing it, Dina made a mistake that the detective caught immediately, and the timeline she had built began to crack. >> All this time's going by, I mean, he he he just he quit coming home. >> Mhm. >> Um he'll he would come in like at in the What? I say the middle of the night. Um I I go to bed early, but he'd come in, he'd do laundry, and he'd be gone again. Um he's he's packed up all his clothes. I got back yesterday. >> Mhm. >> Now, all his clothes are gone, his home computer's gone. >> So, how are the bills getting paid if he's not here? >> Uh he they're all set up on credit cards. So, he he they're >> have access to his credit card accounts and all that? >> I had to uh I have I have two that he gave me and then uh he showed me how to uh go up to the computer and make the payment cuz he does that manually each time. >> Mhm. >> But, I mean nothing's cut off. I have an important fact, but I I'm hesitant to >> Hm? >> [clears throat] >> Can I say something off the record? >> Sure. >> Um Craig keeps all our money in cash. >> Okay. >> So, and it's I can't get in the safe, so I can't tell you if he took it or if it's there. >> All the money? >> Mhm. >> Yeah, why can't you get into the safe? >> I don't have the combinations. >> Could you show me where that safe is? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> This one and this one. >> Oh, there's two of them. >> Yeah. >> Well, obviously he was a firearm guy like me, but I don't have safes like this. >> [music] >> So, what what's that white stuff? >> Uh it's I think it's from when he moved it. I think it's >> Oh, it just got scratched. Okay. So, you don't have the combination for either safe? >> No. No, I just >> [sighs] >> You didn't keep it written down anywhere and you know, I you don't know. Okay. Let me ask you again, I'm I'm sorry, I didn't write down. When did he leave that whiteboard message for you? >> Um it was on Well, I went to the I went to town on the 28th >> Of this month? >> Of >> Or of >> April. >> April. >> First, Dina said Craig left that whiteboard message in March. Then she changed it to April. The timeline kept slipping. Meanwhile, detectives learned Dina had recently bought a brand new Mustang and a house in Texas. When they called the real estate agent to confirm, what they heard made those purchases look even more suspicious. >> I was wondering if maybe you could help me out with answering some questions on a property that you had sold in February, if you have a second. >> Yes. Um, which which house is it? >> Um, 500 North River Street in Seymour. >> Yes. Yes. >> [snorts] >> You had sold it to um, a single buyer? >> Yes. >> Can you verify the name for me? >> Do you Tina? >> Yes. Okay. She didn't have another person in the transaction with her? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. Do you remember when it was that she was inquiring to purchase the property? >> [laughter] >> Um, I know she closed the first week of February. I want to say she closed like the 4th. >> [laughter] >> And I think it all happened within like a week. >> [clears throat] >> Was there any talk about why it was so quick? >> Um, that she was moving down here to be closer to her mom is all I knew. >> Was there a mortgage or was that a cash sale? >> [gasps] >> Um, it was I was all I think it was just cash deal. I know she didn't have a loan. >> All right. Um, is there anything else that she mentioned um, husband or him moving with her or >> No, I thought that they had got divorced. Kind of just what I heard, but I don't know for sure. Uh, but she just said that they weren't together anymore. I I just kind of figured that they split up. It happens down there in pride. >> Sure. >> As the investigation continued, Craig's neighbor said Craig once told him Dina had the safe combinations, the same safe [music] she now claimed she couldn't open. Four days later, detectives returned to the property and noticed something in the backyard that hadn't been there before. >> When he was on her way back home and Craig said if anything ever happens to me that I don't want one of these calls. Dena has a a has a combination to the safe and I keep a I keep a a an envelope full of money in it. And that way she can take care of anything." >> She told me in during that videotape interview that uh she didn't she's never had the combination to the safe. So, it's a it's a contradiction of what uh Craig Tetford told and obviously what Dena Tetford told me yesterday on the 15th of May 2025. >> Good morning. >> How are you? >> I'm good. How are you? >> Good. Good. >> I was about to make some coffee. >> I'll take some coffee. What are you putting in the ground? >> I'm not putting in the ground. I was trying to flatten it. I'm going to roll those rocks back in there. >> Oh, well, I saw that metal thing. I thought maybe it was some kind of a homing thing. >> It's an above-ground gardening. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Is there anywhere else you think he could have gone? I mean, I don't see where he's traveling out of the United States yet. I haven't seen anything. >> You haven't? [music] >> No. >> Um >> I was hoping the financial records would help us track him and see what what's going on in his head. I I guess the reason I keep bugging you about the credit card stuff is how is he financing anything unless he just took all the money, you know? I wish I knew how we could get into those two safes, but without destroying them, I don't know anything about those big safes, but I know it's an act of God to get one of those things cut open. >> I I I couldn't even begin to guess what a password would be or >> No, it's all right. >> Um I mean, can they be gotten into? I guess you can saw them. >> Yeah, I guess. >> Detectives tracked down Dena's ex-husband, and what he told them painted a terrifying picture. He described her as violent and said she had tried to end his life twice. The ex-husband revealed that years ago, Dena had looked him dead in the eye and said, "If I could kill Craig and get away with it, I'd do it." But detectives still needed hard proof. Then, on June 17th, 2025, it came from the last source anyone expected. >> Hi Whitley, how are you this morning? >> Oh, you know. All right, I guess. >> Hang in there? >> Yeah. >> Well, good. I got a couple questions for you this morning and I have EJ in the office with me also that may have a couple questions for you also, okay? >> Okay. >> Okay. Did you ever remember the [music] day that your mother come to see you? >> She called me and she was like, "I'm in town. I got this hotel. Do you want to come over and I'll I'll take you out to dinner." So, we went to Joe's Crab Shack. And then she told me at Joe's Crab Shack. >> She told you at the Crab Shack what she what had happened? >> Yeah. Well, like briefly and then she came over in my apartment later, like the next day or something and I I asked her questions and then that's when she told me more. >> [clears throat] >> But, she said that they were fighting and that Craig pushed her down the stairs and laughed about it or laughed at her something >> [music] >> and then she just flew into a rage and was blinded by rage and just shot him like pow pow pow. >> She specifically told you that she shot him. >> Yeah, that's what she said. >> And she described it how? >> Like pow pow pow. That's what she literally said. And then I was trying to ask her like, "So, you went to go grab the gun?" Like I would I was going to ask her where the gun was, [music] but then she started like her story wasn't really like all together. So, then I was like, "Okay." So, then I moved on to "Well, were you looking at him? Like did you see him when when you Like were you facing him? Like did you see his eyes or whatever?" And she [music] she nodded her head yes, like that she was facing him or looking at him or something like that or saw him. So, then I was like, "Okay." And then I asked her like why she hit the gun so many times cuz I was like, "Well, did he not go down after the first one or whatever?" And she was like, "I don't know. I just like really fast." And I was like, "Okay." And then she said he fell down into the pool room. >> Okay. >> Dina's daughter said her mother had confessed everything over dinner. She described in chilling detail what Dina had done, and suddenly the hole in the backyard and the new purchases all made terrible sense. >> So, from the pool room, how would someone get his body outside? >> I think I asked her that and she said that she couldn't move him cuz he's so heavy. So, she let left him there like he laid there for like a day and a half or 2 days and a half. And then she wrapped him up in a rug. She said there was a rug there, which I don't remember there being a rug there, but maybe there was. I don't know. Um she wrapped him in a rug. She wrapped him in like some plastic. She said she would do a little bit and then she'd have to stop and like go back in the house. And then she'd do a little bit and then have to go back in the house. And she's like explaining that to me. And then she said that she tied something around the rug and dragged it out with a tractor. Um dragged him out. And then she told me that his body's in the carport. Oh, she told me that I asked her how long that this happened, like how long ago. Like how How has he been there, basically. And she said that this happened in like January or February or something. So, it's been like a while. >> Did she say she dug a hole and put him in there? >> She did not say, and I didn't even think to to ask any more questions cuz I'm kind of like still can't believe like this has happened. >> Oh, I I get it. Yes. I understand. Okay. Did he keep money in the house? >> Craig? >> Yes. >> Yeah. I think the majority of his money was cash. So, my mom said that he had like duffel bags full of cash at the house somewhere. >> Okay. Did Did she tell you that? >> took it. >> With a search warrant in hand, officers returned to Craig's house on July 8th, 2025. Witnesses reported a fight, then shots, then a body on the ground. As deputies raced to the scene, another call came in. This time from the shooter himself, claiming he was the victim. What officers found when they arrived would leave them questioning everything. >> It's Bernalillo County 911. What is the address to the emergency? >> Uh I'm over here on Coors, uh but the O'Reilly is at Coors and Blake. >> Do you know the address there? >> No, I don't, but they're firing There's two guys at the next at people across the street at O'Reilly's. >> Okay, who's doing this? >> I have no idea who they are. >> Can you give me a description of who we're looking for? >> Uh there's a white a white GMC truck, man in a black and blue jeans and a black t-shirt, black hat. >> Uh we were driving by and there was a fight and then we heard three or four guns then a guy fell. I'm scared for my life, bro. >> Deputies pulled into the parking lot to find chaos. One victim lay motionless on the pavement. Another was fading fast inside the store. Customers who were there at the time of incident were trying to help the victim. >> There's another one? >> Yeah, I got it. >> Okay, I got it. Okay, okay, okay. >> What What GMC? >> It was a white one, bro. I don't know. He was out here >> Okay, let me know. So, we have one. Looks like he's beyond help. And there was the one also inside. You can catch a little glimpse of him in the video, but I wouldn't say enough to >> Hispanic, 5'8", 5'9", that's about it. 200 lbs, maybe. The other guy had a beard. >> Dark? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Heavier set. >> We were right there and we see nothing. People were there getting fuel and we see the parties, so we turn around and that's when we heard the pop. >> A deputy searching the area spotted a man matching the description witnesses had given. Hispanic, wearing a plaid shirt, walking along the road with a woman. He was detained immediately, but was released soon. >> 10-4, 10-20, I'll be out with one subject matching that description. >> Sir, get your hands up. Stop right there. Stop right there. One male, red and blue plaid. We're going to be just south of Barcelo- or just north of Barcelona. Keep your hands up. Don't move. Turn around. Turn around. Do you have any social security? >> No. >> No, okay. Have you taken out a ID? >> No, we're not. Okay. You can sit down here. I didn't I didn't like hearing him coming through here and then like pulled out. >> After releasing the wrong man, deputies dug through store records and found a receipt that gave them a name and an address. They headed to the residence and as they were pulling up a man matching the suspect's description drove up to the same [music] house, right into their hands. >> Go back. This is your house? Okay. Put the car in park. 140's got contact. Put the car in park. Park the car. Step out for me. 140's got one detained at the scene. Estimate, approximately 50. He's wearing a plaid shirt. Pulled right up on me. Yeah, I'm good. Is this him? Okay, he Yeah, he pulled right up to me, said he lived here. I saw his plaid shirt, detained him. Jesus Christ. >> Want to put him in the back seat? >> Yeah. Come with me. Weapons? Guns, knives? >> [music] >> Black Ford F-150. Ramona! Do you speak English? >> However, as they were on the way to the station with the first suspect, something unexpected caught the officers' attention. A vehicle that made them stop right there on the road. Inside was the second suspect, a man named Ismael, and the version of events he started telling nothing like what witnesses had described. >> Walk back to the sound of my voice now. Keep walking. Keep walking. Keep walking. Just keep walking, man. Okay, keep walking back. Stop. Take a couple steps to your right. >> [screaming] >> 3.7 that's all. Show me on the 27A. >> You know what, I'm just going to give you this, do you understand? >> You're good. So, stay on him. I can't put him straight right now. Uh, give me a second though, okay? I'll fix him. Don't worry. So, what happened today? >> I just went into the O'Reilly's store because they gave my dad the wrong filter. >> Okay. >> And all the oil went everywhere and we tried to get a refund for the oil and the filter, and they didn't want to give us the refund for the oil filter, for the oil, I mean. So, I told him I'll just walk out with it. And when I'm walking out with it, they both came out with the oil, I mean, they both came out. They both came out and one of them started pushing me. They're both the workers. Both workers? Yes, sir. Both of the workers came out and they started pushing me. And one of the And the the other worker, when he pushed me, I he kind of like me so hard in my chest that I kind of like lost my breath. And Like I said I just had to get my gun to get him away from me bro and then you know I'm not trying to kill him but I was trying to get him away from me man. I already told them too like if you put your hands on me bro I will I I will you and they didn't listen dude. Both before anything they they didn't listen they they still >> Who's the passenger with you? >> I don't have a passenger sir. >> You don't have a passenger at all? >> No I I never had a passenger. You're good. Have a seat for me okay. Let me turn the AC on. >> Richard Newman never made it off that parking lot. Jesus Valdez fought for his life at the hospital but [music] didn't survive. Ismael was charged with unlawful killing while his father who had fled on foot after the shooting was [music] questioned and released without charges. Next up officers were called to a multi-million dollar property in Santa Fe for a welfare check but what they found inside would make national headlines and leave investigators searching for answers for weeks. >> He's down. He's been down for a while. I think they're done bro. We found him upstairs. She's here. >> On February 26th, 2025 deputies in Santa Fe, New Mexico arrived at the multi-million dollar property of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Ericka Hackman. The couple hadn't been heard from in over 2 weeks. When deputies arrived, the house gave nothing away, but a large German Shepherd standing guard inside made it clear this would not be a routine wellness check. >> 379 >> Oh, no, that's a big dog, bro. >> Right there. >> Right there. >> You want to go in without K9s? >> We're going to attempt to clear the house. Yeah, that's a big dog right there. >> What? >> Right there. >> Back inside? >> Yeah. >> German Shepherd? >> Yeah. >> This door has a >> K9 in it? This is the access to that door, right? >> Yeah. >> You guys talking about this door here? >> Let me ask him. >> Is it that one? >> Yeah. I don't know, dude. I don't like this, especially with that big dog in here. >> This is the one I was looking >> That's there. That's this room right there, bro. >> This one? >> I think that's where the dog's at. >> You know what >> Yeah, I think so. Is it that one? >> This one or this >> Yeah, it's got to be downstairs, bro. >> After finding another way inside, deputies began clearing the house room by room. It didn't take long before one of them spotted something that made him call out to his partner. What they found in that room would launch an investigation that took [music] weeks to unravel. Oh yeah, he's been down for a while, bro. Yeah, yeah, he's down. He's been down for a while. Yeah, okay. All right. All righty, well, we found the second one. You told me who this house is? No, I haven't gone that far yet, bro. Gene Gene Gene Hackman? Okay. Hey, what's up, bro? Yeah, I'm here. We just went through the house. Two dents, two 10-7s, one wife, one female. One's being guarded by a big German Shepherd. And we found the other one upstairs. No, I don't I don't see any foul play, bro. I haven't I didn't look too close. I'm trying to figure out how to get closer to the second body with the German Shepherd right now. First body they found was of Gene Hackman's. The deputies were still trying to piece together what had happened. As officers continued clearing the house, they discovered a second body in another room. It was Gene Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa Hackman. The German Shepherd that officers had noticed earlier was standing guard over Gene Hackman's body, making it difficult for anyone to approach. With no signs of forced entry and nothing stolen, the scene didn't fit any explanation they could immediately reach for. Yeah, he's right there. Hey, buddy. That's a big dog, bro. Yeah, and that one they think that one's 10-7. Yeah, you do what you got to do, bro. We haven't cleared that side of the house yet, just so you know. Yeah, I don't know, bro. I don't see any like blunt force trauma. It's just strange that they would both be down, bro. >> Yeah. Uh doggy is 10-7 as well. >> Okay. >> So Let's see what I can do. Um I guess let me see if I can possibly get him out. >> Okay. >> Or I don't know who he is. Um cuz I'm assuming they're going to need to get a check. >> Oh, they're definitely >> Yeah, I think they're done, bro. We We found him upstairs. She's here. So, I don't >> I'm just going >> Yeah, I was just looking at that, too, bro. >> What is it? >> Thyroid? >> Okay. One round. >> I don't know, bro. >> I don't know if he's in his 90s. I don't know how old he >> Yeah. He was She's a little quite a bit younger from my understanding. >> In the end, investigators determined that Betsy Arakawa Hackman passed away from Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, a rare rodent-borne illness. She on February 12th, roughly a week before Jean, the 95-year-old actor who suffered from advanced Alzheimer's and heart disease, passed away on February 18th, according to his pacemaker. One of their dogs, recently confined after surgery, also died. Moving on to the case where a routine check of a police vehicle uncovered evidence that sent [music] shockwaves through the entire department. >> Our breathalyzer machine is broken, so kind of the only option right now is >> Well, don't I'm going to come out with alcohol. It's like, yeah, I'm an alcoholic. I was supposed to be in detox, but I had caffeine and been able to go pick up >> I'm hot. >> So, I mean, he took my sock and he washed it and it smelled really bad and and I said, "Dude, this smells like there." The department decided to release the footage, putting it all on the table for the public to see and letting the evidence speak for itself. The investigation remains open with no clear clue as to what actually [music] happened. Next up, we have the case of a dog walker who unzipped a suitcase in a park and stumbled upon something so disturbing that officers rushed to the scene within minutes. >> Police car, POLICE DEPARTMENT. >> POLICE CAR, FOUR. >> I pulled it up, unzipped it. I couldn't really see, and I opened it up and here. >> It is. >> I can't >> I don't get how you can hate your own kids enough to keep you know, to bury them on March 2nd, 2026. Cleveland police received a call that immediately told them this was no ordinary situation. A dog walker had found something buried in a park near his home. Something that had been sitting there for nearly a week while his dog kept stopping at the same spot every single day. >> Cleveland police, what's the address of the emergency? >> Um, it's a park, Midland and 162nd Street. I just found a head uh, in a suitcase in the park. >> Okay, and is it a human head or animal head? >> Yes, no, it's a human head in a suitcase with like it looks like uh, some other body parts. I was walking my dog and my dog stopped and there was something like half buried. It looked like a suitcase. I pulled it up and unzipped it and opened it and that's what it was. >> Okay. >> Philip, who was the caller, had been walking past that same spot for an entire week. His dog stopping and sniffing a little too long every single time. What he assumed was merely a strange abandoned suitcase turned out to be something that would haunt him for years to come. >> How you doing, sir? >> They're checking up right now. >> Understood. >> If you go, you can see the you can see the case from back here. It's all the way straight to the back. >> Close to that sign? >> Yeah, see the little black straight ahead in front of you? >> Okay. It's a suitcase? >> It's a suitcase. I've been walking past it for about a week now cuz I take my dog I stay right here. I take my dog I usually walk her through there and then come around here. And for the last week she's been stopping like a mound of dirt. She's been stopped and sniffing like a little too long. And today I was like, well, I'm going to take it. I hope it's not what I'm >> Right. >> And if it was halfway buried it's about this thick. It's about halfway buried. I pulled it up, unzipped it. I couldn't really see and I opened it up and head. >> Buried under the dirt it was? >> Yeah, halfway. You can see a little part of it sticking out. >> And you said you noticed it for about a week already? >> Yeah, been sitting over there like somebody buried it or tried to bury it. And like I said, I walk my dog over there and she keeps stopping and she sniff sniff a little too long. You know, she sniff stuff but and I'm like I don't know what that is and I'm not going to mess with it. And I today I was just like let me see what that really is. It's back there. I pulled it up so it's kind of standing up and stinks like hell. >> Okay. You're right here at 670? >> What's your name, sir? >> Phil. >> Phil, okay. I'm going to check it out. I'll be with you. Thank you. Thank you. >> When the officer arrived at the scene, he chose not to open the case alone and waited for backup before going any further. Inside the first suitcase, they found the remains of a young girl, but the horror didn't end there. Just a short distance away, partially buried in the same park, a second suitcase held another child's remains. >> 521 radio. Copy. You know, everybody I got you. >> So, I haven't even I haven't opened it yet. Um The dude I talked to, the caller, he said that >> 47 go ahead. >> there was this um suitcase partially like buried in the ground that he said he's been noticing for like a week and his dog keeps trying to you know, get to it. So, he said that he pulled it out today and uh to see what was in there cuz was kind of heavy and he noticed like a head and hair, you know, he just left it and called the police. So, I'll just wait till you guys get here before I open it. I mean, it's like partially partially buried. >> [music] >> He said it was sticking out for like a week. He finally decided to open it up. I just want to see He flashed a light on it. I just want to see if there's any or anything on it. No. >> You want to look at it? >> Yeah. You want to? >> Yeah, I'll forget. Ah. Oh, you. >> Can you bring it closer? I can't see. >> You got a foot. >> Yeah, no, I Oh, yeah, it is. >> You think that's a kid? >> Yeah. >> How old do you think they are? >> I can't It's attached. It's just like folded in the fetal position. >> Stiff? >> No, frozen. >> What they found inside those two suitcases were the bodies of two young girls, 8-year-old Mila Chapman and 10-year-old Amari Wilson. What made it even more devastating was that investigators discovered both girls had been completely off the radar for over 3 years. Their mother had pulled them from school in November 2022, requested a transfer to an online academy where it was later confirmed neither girl had ever been enrolled there. From that point forward, both girls had simply vanished from every system that should have been protecting them. 2 days after the heartbreaking discovery on March 4th, 2026, officers arrived at the home of 28-year-old ELLIOT HENDERSON. >> WATCH IT. >> HANDS UP. COME ON DOWN. HANDS UP. Come down now. Hands up. >> Got her ready for Anybody else in the house besides Come here. Got her? The girl down. Got it. >> Anybody else here? >> Later. Go ahead. >> You good? You good. I got you covered. >> While speaking with reporters, Milas' father revealed he had spent 5 years trying to find his daughter. Courts, lawyers, CPS, welfare checks, but every door was shut as he had no address. He found out his daughter was gone through the news. >> I'd say she emotionally unstable. She'll grow a woman that don't know how to control her emotions. I feel like she want to be she want to be the bigger picture. I I I can't say but it's from my eye it's probably jealousy of the kids. I don't know but like I don't I don't get how you can hate your own kids enough to you know to bury them to do all this to do all this and go right there to that home right there and live there where your kids is right here and go be a a to another child while you just throw other two? >> When was the last time you saw your daughter? >> Um I would been looking for my daughter for 5 years. Um I've been calling CPS, going to the courts, um trying to get emergency custody, um calling the police for welfare checks, um but they denied all access because she's a mover, I guess. So, you know, in the state of Ohio, if you don't if you don't have the address of the person, but you have their full name and social, but if you don't have the address, there's nothing they can do for you. So, I've been in I've been trying to contact them. CPS told me, um the CPS told me they're going to get in contact with her. They got in contact with her, called her, and said, um asked her did the babies have food in the refrigerator in the bed? She said, yes. They They closed the case. Um went down to the courts multiple multiple times. I came in the last 5 years. I didn't have so many different lawyers. Even the lawyers couldn't get it. They told me if I don't have no address for her, there's nothing we can do. I've been trying to get her emergency custody like 5 10 times. They denied everything. >> Mila's father also made clear that he wasn't alone in this. Amari's father had been searching just as desperately for years, and the system failed both of them equally. >> Oh, the last time I did have contact with her was about she's eight she's about to be nine, so 4 years ago when she started kindergarten. Uh Aaliyah reached out to me and asked me to help her for school clothes, school shoes, books, and stuff that the class needed. She gave me the list. I bought everything, reached out to her, said, I got it. Where do you want to meet? And then she disappeared again. Ain't talked to her since. So, I've been looking nonstop. And come to find out, yesterday me and my friends was just talking about how the world sad with these little girls they found. Come to find out it's my daughter and another another young lady um that I was a part of her life, too. What I'm feeling is hate. I ain't going to lie, I feel hate. But I feel I asked you I asked you numerous occasions just give me my daughter. If it's too much for you, just give me my daughter. I just want my daughter. You told me I'm too family oriented. You told me I'm too family oriented and you go and do this. All you had to do is give me my daughter. My daughter would be alive today. Both and more and Mila would be alive today because we not going to go unheard. Her father her father and her father family was looking for her. We looking for Amore. They wanted her, too. It was the same situation. He was He was looking for her just like I was looking for my daughter. We both was looking for our child. So all the naysayers saying how could a father do this? They don't know when it come to this system, the system failed us a lot. It's law It's laws that need to be changed. It's laws that need to be heard. >> In the end, Elliott Henderson was charged with murder after CCTV footage and DNA analysis linked her directly to both girls. During her arrest, a third child, a healthy 6-year-old she shared with another man, was found in the home with no signs of mistreatment. That child's father is currently being investigated as a potential suspect, though no arrest has been made. As of the creation of this video, the cause of the motive has still not been released.
