involves a coordinated theft attempt and a suspect tied to thousands of dollars in mostly stolen baby products. This took place on November 5th, 2024 when deputies in Palm Beach County responded to a retail theft in progress at a Target store. As officers arrived, three men fled on foot while the female suspect jumped into the driver's seat. These critical moments were captured on dash cam because the first officer on scene forgot to activate her bodywn camera. If you look closely, you'll see two male subjects running from the vehicle. One stumbles and falls before getting back up, while the other takes off so fast he leaves a shoe behind. According to statements made on scene, this group had reportedly been targeting stores across the area and even outside the county. Have a seat. I am pregnant. Can you please move this? So, the reason why I am here with Detective Vidal as well is we are [Music] working to organize retail theft cases. Um, I work for the sheriff's office in the city of Green Acres. Detective Bedell obviously is with District One with the sheriff's office. I had a case on 113 uh 2024 where three four subjects entered uh my target at 5900 Lakew Worth Road. Um and this through the investigation, it's believed that the same targets hit your store 2 days later. Uh utilizing the same vehicle uh information. During my case, there was a female that was apprehended on scene. Um, but three males actually got away. Uh, one of the males that got away in my case was actually believed to be um the same male that was in Detective Bad's case on 115. We possibly made an identification of that uh subject. And I want to present you a photo array. Before I present you the photo array, I do want to show you um just some still photographs of this is the male that we're talking about. So this is on 113 in green anchors. There's a black male wearing some blue shorts with a crazy white design on them, a white t-shirt. It looks like a black jacket, no facial mask. Um, obviously on this camera here, it's not as clear as your cameras at your store, but is that the same male that came into your store on 115? Yes, it is. Uh, he's even wearing the same uh shorts from that day. Same exact shorts. Same exact shorts. Perfect. Okay, I'm going to read you some instructions. You will be asked to view a group of photos of individuals. Okay, before I actually hand you the photo, I just wanted you to just briefly tell me uh what happened on 115 here with the this I'm sorry, 113 here with these individuals. You have personal interaction with them. I did. So, I witnessed one of the males, I think he was also involved in your case. Uh we have an alert stream where we can kind of view each other's like pictures and videos and instances. I was on cameras when I saw one of the subjects push out uh with I think it was three electric scooters totaling. It was like around $800. Um, I instantly hit the sales floor where I witnessed that male that you showed me in that picture uh leaving with a female. Um, and then we backtracked and uh saw two staged carts filled with like infam uh clothing which I think was the exact same stuff they targeted at that Green Acre store uh due to like security presence. I just sent one of my guys out there as well. They ended up dumping the carts near the exit. They did they did not pass all points of sale. Uh but then they left and got into the same car with one of the males that stole those three electric scooters. And I think that same vehicle that we saw here uh we saw at Green Acres, right? Remember what kind of vehicle that was? It was an SUV. I think it was like Utah plates. Uh I think it was like a Nissan Rogue or something. Off the top of my head, I don't remember what color. Uh don't remember off the top of my head. Um yeah, you you seen it? Yeah. Yeah, I saw it. Uh it was a white Nissan Rogue. White Nissan Rogue. Uh they parked on the southside. So they all entered uh at the same time with shopping carts and they left at the same time. So the one guy that pushed out uh he actually came back into the store after loading the merchandise into the car. He saw security was by the doors. So then he you could see him getting on the phone and then the other people pick up the phone. They end up exiting the building uh after they dumped those two carts um and then they got into that Nissan Rogue. So, I kind of like followed them into that vestibule like right outside by the sidewalk and walk into that vehicle. Perfect. Okay. So, if there's no questions, I'm going to hand you this uh photo array. If you can pick somebody out, great. If not, great. We'll continue the investigation. So, you selected number two. Two. The suspect was charged with aggravated grand retail theft and booked on an active warrant. She bonded out shortly after, but her legal troubles didn't stop there. Since the arrest, she's picked up multiple new traffic infractions and even faces another felony charge filed just days later. Her history includes prior felonies, criminal traffic cases, domestic violence injunctions, and an eviction. Yet, she continued speaking openly from the back of the patrol car. With an arraignment set for May 1st, she remains out on bond for now. Whether she'll face real consequences this time remains to be [Music] seen. What's your thoughts?
