could contain you right now. For what? For child endangerment. Yeah, I wish I was child endangerment anybody when I left for only 5 minutes. 5 minutes is all it takes. They're little children. Some entitled teen moms treat parenting like a part-time job. But what happens when the police step in to deliver a much needed wakeup call? Can't just like drop off your kids at like people's houses. I'm under arrest for abandonment. Yep. Y Who did I abandon? All of your children. Children. These were the moments when entitled teen moms realized they were going to prison. Starting off with the case of when the police confronted a reckless mother who had left two toddlers alone in a hotel room for several hours. Cuz your kids were by themselves. Uh, no they weren't. Left them in a hotel room. And then you want to get upset with us like this is our problem that we created. No, no, no. We didn't create this problem. On December 6th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a hotel after receiving a report that two children, ages 1 and 3 years old, had been left alone in a room. Knowing how fast a situation like this could spiral into tragedy, they rushed to the scene without hesitation. Called over here cuz they were crying. So then he came and didn't want to leave them alone. So he went and grabbed to grab Oh, there he is. Hi. Hi. So, can you just turn the door on? Yeah, we got called cuz your kids were by themselves. Uh, no they weren't. Who was here then? My sister was just here. Okay. They were in here for the last 30 minutes when the worker came and checked. So that's why we're here. Baby was like grabbing at that he needs a diaper change. I think I've at least been here for 12 minutes and the person who called had been here for some time before calling. So this is ridiculous honestly. Okay. So you have to stay in the room now with me. I'm I'm waiting because you keep going out there and I need to make sure these kids are good because you weren't here for like 30 minutes or no one was here. An adult was not here for 30 minutes with them. They were both sleeping. My sister just came out and I went to the store for 30 minutes. My sister was here. Ma'am, I'm telling you, the person who called is someone who works here. Okay, I understand that. But they have to do the they do the police investigation cuz then they have to prove that I I was What's your first name? You need my first and last name. And what's a good phone number for you? Okay. The woman was clearly frustrated that the police were involved. She didn't seem to view the situation as a serious issue at all. Okay. Well, this officer is in there watching your kids. We'll go in there and talk to them. Go inside and watch your children, please. Okay. This is [ __ ] Who was the your what's your name that was watching them? How do you spell that? Can you stay over here, ma'am? I'm I'm trying to hear what's going on. So, Anna phone number. I don't have her phone number. I literally have a laptop. You see, I don't have Well, how do you speak to her? So, that Facebook Okay. Can I But I just gave you her name. I don't have a phone number. This is I don't even have a phone. This is all I have. I can show you that. So, what do you want me to do? Where does she What's her address? Hello. Hi there. All right. Hi, guys. What's going on today? You got a good pointer, huh? They were left unattended. She says just 30 minutes, but it claims like two to four hours. I got to find somebody who can talk to me on the side. Here, I'll I'll you guys can Yeah. Hi, boss. The mom is in here changing the other one. While the first responding officer briefed her sergeant on the situation, other officers outside the hotel room met the father for the first time. He appeared completely confused about what was going on. Gosh. So, I think this is a mistake. Like, she just or something. You want to switch places? You want to go in there with the kids? Are they okay? Yeah. You come in. This is crazy. Your iPad is in the bathroom. You don't have a phone? No. How would How would anyone contact you? What is Well, I just contact like Are you saying like how do I communicate with my family and everyone? Yeah. Let's say I'm trying to I'm trying to contact you. How would I contact you? Through Facebook Messenger. Facebook. And then do you live here at this hotel? Yeah. This Okay. We were talking to Dalen. We just want to know the timeline of what happened. So, what I understood is Dalen went to the gas station. Mhm. Can you start from there? When Dalon left to the gas station, where were you? I went outside at first and then I let my sister in. I was up here for a little and then I left for about 30 to 40 minutes. Okay. And your sister? Mhm. Okay. And you're in the room. You physically saw her in the room with the kids before leaving? Yes. Okay. And where did you go? Is this supposed to be like am I going to be arrested? Like what's going on? I'm just trying to figure out what happened right now. We walked into a room where kids are by themselves. on the side of like 30 minutes. But I understand. And were they was one of them sleeping? Neither one of them was sleeping. Okay. Cuz she just checked on the woman. She was sleeping. But coming up, the woman revealed something about her parenting that made it clear to officers this wasn't just a one-time incident. Her reckless behavior had become a pattern. Yeah, I I I think I've explained enough to the other officers. So, I've already had DCFS called on me before, and I know how this goes. I'm the investigating officer. I'm going to be typing up stuff that happened. So, can you just tell me what happened? I was gone for 30 to 40 minutes. Okay. And you left. Was your sister in the room? Uh-huh. Okay. She comes She's, you can see on the cameras, she comes here frequently. She showers here. Does she have her own room key to the door? No, she would need mine. She has a key to get in through the doors, but my door is currently off. That's how you guys were able to get in. You left. And then where did you you left and where'd you go? I went back down through this way. Okay. You You stayed in the hotel? No, I left. Okay. 30 to 40 minutes. Okay. Where'd you go? I went to make an errand. Where would that be? In Elgen. Elgen is pretty. You have to be very specific. I would like to know where you went. Yes. I went to go handle some business. Somewhere close to here. Where is it? It's about 15 minutes at at the most away. Did you drive there? No, I had a ride. You had a ride. Who'd you ride with? I think it's You happen to have a last name? No. Yeah, it was requested for me. Is that like an Uber service? Who requested that for you? My sister. Do you know right now? No, I don't. Probably at work. Okay. What time does she usually go to work? She has different shifts. They rotate and it's peak season, so I don't know. You left here to go run an errand. You got a ride from someone and you don't you don't want to tell me where that is. I just It's a little personal, so I don't really Okay. Feel the need to express it, but I just want I I honestly just want to know what's going on. So like I can know if you guys are trying to cancel before so I can just let my mom know and call my grandma. So, I just want to know what's like. How long ago did Dalon leave the uh hotel? I'm not sure because I was still here. Okay. And then you left how long ago you said? Well, now it's probably way longer than 30 to 40 minutes, right? Cuz I've been here about what? How long were you gone? 25 minutes. I was gone for up to 40 minutes. When did you meet up with Den? Cuz you guys walked in here together. I called him as soon as I was on my way back. I thought neither one of you had a phone. Did you see me coming in with the laptop? You called him on a laptop. He has an iPad. Neither one of us don't have a phone. And where did you guys meet up at? Outside like outside the hotel. Mhm. Coming up, one of the officers gave the mother a brief on what was going to happen from that moment onward. So, we have to take the kids to the hospital. So, am I going with my kids? Well, we are taking them to the hospital so that they can get medically evaluated and then we're going to have to contact DCFS to see what they want to do from that point. I can't tell you what DCFS So, you're telling me you're taking my kids away from you? They are going to the hospital to be checked out because the information that we've been provided is that they've been left there for several hours since before 2:00. So, we have an obligation to make sure that the kids are safe medically cared for. That time frame, really any time frame with kids that age is not acceptable. But when we're talking 3 plus hours, that's that's a problem. So, we have to make sure that they're okay. They have to be examined by a medical professional. I don't feel that am I not given the right to go with my kids to the hospital? Well, that's one thing we're going to be kind of talking about at just one just one second. Say you call her on your uh laptop. Let them do their thing and you can get you can have your laptop and you can call, text, however you Deja, can you stay out here? Call your mom or call someone. We're trying to take our kids. You want to take our kids? So, so again, I Let's not make this any more complicated than needs to be. The kids are going to the hospital to get checked out by a medical professional because our investigations reveal that they've been left here alone since 1:30 p.m. which is completely unacceptable. We have an obligation to make sure that the kids are in a good medical condition. And so we are going to make sure that they're examined at a hospital and we're going to call DCFS for further direction. That's that's what it is. So, do we get our kids back after the We're going to have to call DCFS is going to make that determination. We're gonna have to call DCFS and I'm supposed to like trust that you guys are gonna You can trust us. Believe me, we will do a good job of of making sure that your kids are cared for. Okay? And and again, you can't even come with him. I don't have a cell phone. How you going to tell me what's going on on the updates with my daughter? We'll be with you. But one thing I will tell you is although you're upset and frustrated, cooperation is going to be very important to make sure that this is a smooth process. If you want if you want your kids back, then you need to cooperate. I already went through this. I'm going to try to reiterate what the officer was saying. All right. On behalf of the Elgen Fire Department, we have to make sure that the kids are well taken care of. I'm Captain Walzac with the with the department. You you've got my name. I can give you all the contact information you need. I believe one of the officers are going to be remaining. So, we're going to have ways. I understand your phone's not working. The city's going to provide you with an officer so that they can relay information. And so, you don't know like how long like we do. It's literally up to DCF again. We're going to make because of the other case, they might just take my dog. Yeah, that sounds good. Wow. Are you serious? They literally came in here and like literally cleared them and said that they look healthy and they're going to confirm that the hospital and DCFS is going to make a determination on what we do. I'm not going to say that they're going to take the kids away from you. They may give the kids back to you tonight, but we have a process that we need to to go through and it's imperative that you guys don't obstruct or make this any more difficult than it needs to be because again, we have to report to DCFS. Well, hold on one second. I just need to get my iPad under your custody unless you're cool. We have an officer coming up to follow them to the hospital. So, we should have an ambulance. Yeah, sounds good. Thank you. Call your mom on my iPad. I I have not. You'll get a chance to contact out here with us in the hallway. Why does he need to go in the hallway? He needs to talk to these officers. Come on, please. Let's go. We'll let you make a phone call. You're making this more complicating is making you guys take my kids. No, don't say because this is in the hallway now. In the hallway. No, no, no. It's okay. I'm going. I'm going back. I'm going. I'm going. For what? For what? Put him on your back. For what? For what? Me. After arresting the father, officers moved to arrest the mother as well. Despite being clearly told that cooperating could help things go more smoothly and even improve her chances of getting her children back sooner. She chose to take things down a different path. No, I had my sister here. She wasn't here. The video shows she wasn't here. Okay. You can't lie with the video. I don't give a You guys had to see everything. Okay. From beginning to see how many people enter these doors. Okay. I did. Okay. I did. Okay. There was no Did you guys call them yet? We were calling them. We're dealing with you guys first. What? Please. They're taking me to jail. For what? For ending me. No. Please, bro. No. That's [ __ ] It's [ __ ] It is bullit. What's bull? No. No. No. No. You guys cannot do this [ __ ] You leave your car. We were called here. We didn't come here because we just decided to stroll in here. We were called by the hotel because you made a bad decision to leave your kids home alone. That's what it was. That's nice. You can make excuses all you want, but the reality is is you committed a crime and we have an obligation to make sure that your kids are okay. If you think it's okay to leave your kids in a in a hotel room by themselves for 3 hours, if you think that that's okay, that's a rational thing in your head, then you have some serious problems because we have probable cause to believe that these kids were left unattended in a hotel room at age 2 and four, which is completely unacceptable under any circumstance. One and four. One and three. Sorry. One and three. Left them in a hotel room. And then you want to get upset with us like this is our problem that we created. No, no, no. We didn't create this problem. We are now forced to deal with it because you guys made a bad decision. And I'm not trying to talk down to you or belittle you. But there there is a point in time when we need to take some self responsibility for our actions. And this is unacceptable. And when unacceptable things happen and criminal law is broken, we have an obligation as the police to do what we need to do. We care about your kids. We want to make sure your kids are safe. Leaving kids alone for a 3 plus hour period is not acceptable. There are resources available to help You guys don't even have like this is crazy. So even when we're inside and out, right? I leave for 5 minutes. I'm asking I'm asking what is the consecutive time that I have to be. There is no set timeline. It's what's reasonable. So if I leave for 10 minutes and I go outside, smoke a and I come back in. That's unacceptable. It depends on the circumstances. That's not the circumstances we're dealing with right now. The circumstances we're dealing with are that the kids were left alone for 3 plus hours. So that I just took my kids. So now how am I like this is crazy. So, someone's going to stay with me the whole night and make sure they're going to tell me every update with my daughter. That's not the plan. So, what's the plan? We're going to be with you so that if you have questions about what what's going on, we're going to share that. What's the plan? The plan is you're going to be going down to the police station with us to address this. Jayen, I'm getting arrested, too. Yes, you both are because they they're saying that they have evidence. The judge will see everything. I've already had this this exact same thing going on. And we're not saying you're guilty of anything. We're saying we have problems. I know you're guilty until proven. We we're saying you have we have probable cause for your arrest for endangering the life and health of a child. Actually, two counts because there's two children involved. That's what I'm telling you. I'm not I'm not trying to tell you that you're guilty of anything. That's for the courts to decide. But we have an obligation when innocent children are involved in a case that we have to do everything line by line to the book. And I would not be doing your children a service if I just left them here with you and said, you know, let's try and do better. It doesn't work that way, unfortunately. Now, DCFS is going to ask us for photos of the conditions that we found the kids in. Can we take pictures for their purposes? I'm saying that the DCFS want to see the f see if my kids are okay. They can see them by the pictures. They're not going to come here. They're going to go to the hospital. Okay. Then they can see them at the hospital. But no, they can't take photos. They're not taking photos of my my children. No, no, no. I'm I'm talking about the conditions of your apartment. You cannot take pictures of No, my apartment. You don't want me to? No. I mean, it's for the most part. It's not that bad. But it it documents the conditions at the time that we were here. Okay. All So, so you're asking to take permission photos? Yeah. Okay. No, you can't. Okay. They said that we left. Yes. So, they took both the babies away from us and took them to the hospital right now. And now they're trying to charge me and Den with child end. What is the process from here? I'm going to be taken to the police station, booked and processed, and then we'll go from there. Both parents were charged with endangerment. These teen moms clearly don't grasp the seriousness of leaving their children unsupervised, and the next case is no exception. This young mother tried to play the victim even after putting her child in serious danger. There's a baby just standing there in his right here. Just I mean literally like just screaming as head off. Could detain you right now for what? Child endangerment. Yeah, I wish I was child endangerment anybody when I left for only 5 minutes. 5 minutes is all it takes. They're little children. Hurt me. You guys hurting me. On February 21st, 2024, officers responded to a call about a toddler who had allegedly been left alone on the street by her neglectful mother. My mom called and there was another neighbor that was stood up out here. Their little baby was like walking around here in a diaper and some socks. Okay. And we didn't really know whose baby it was. We had an instinct or like we thought it was ours. And so my mom's on the phone with 911 and we have like our neighbor out and she comes like comes home or whatever her village was and I used to like my mom and all this other stuff by my mom and smashed her baby up and it's like and she's in that one right there. Yeah. She has three kids. Um all three young and talk to her. You know what vehicle was hers? Huh? You know what vehicle she walked? At this point, the suspect came outside and it only took a few seconds for the officer to sense that she was angry, especially at her neighbors for calling the police on her. Yeah, we're just checking on All right. Yeah. So, I'm standing here in front of all the officers and the lady I called. She's talking me crazy. What's going on, man? Hello. How are you? Yeah. What's going on today? Um, I just got interrupted by this lady talking to me crazy on my staircase. I told her to leave after she sat there and said something about my daughter. I just went over there to the maintenance people, the maintenance office cuz we're having personal issues that's inside of our house that I don't want to discuss in front of this lady here. Okay. But you just So, you got to understand her point of view, too. Your little out here with a diaper on down here in this area in this vicinity. She didn't go nowhere. She was over there. There's no little child should be out here alone, right? Because But like I said, I didn't go nowhere. Yeah, but your baby made it outside and there is dangerous people around that could snatch your baby in a second. here probably a couple days ago. Ma'am, there's no way that you can get things set that fast. Okay, but you need to constantly have eyes on a little child. Well, you didn't because you've Okay, so what are we trying to do? Cuz like you're trying to say something that I literally can go over there. You can just go ask them that I just came from over there. Then you need to take your child with you. Okay, that's fine. I'll take my child with me. So, what's next? Do you have any identification? Um, I do in the house. Okay. Okay. Can you tell us your name? My name's Le. Mhm. So, what are we doing right now? So, we're documenting what we what you're saying. Yeah. What I'm saying is true. So, I'm the mother. How do you spell your name? L A J S A E. I'm trying to figure out what's going on here cuz why does she have to be here in my in my vicinity? So, what's your I have her on camera walking in my house. You have no reason to trespass. Let me walk inside her house. Don't come back in my house. You're not allowed to come in my house. You don't need to Okay, we're talking. She needs this to remove herself. She lives here. If the relationship between the woman and her neighbors wasn't already damaged, it certainly was. Now coming up, one of the officers approached the callers to ask a few questions about what they had witnessed before dialing 911. I just went in looking for her. What I'm kind of gathering from this is you guys live where do you live in the She lives here. I'm staying with her for a minute. Okay. And I just so happen to see this car kind of just back up a little bit. And then as I look up at the car because it just caught my attention, there's a baby just standing there. And it right here just I mean literally like just screaming his head on me. A neighbor that's just moving in down there stopped and pinned at the same time. He's coming towards the baby. I'm coming out cuz I recognize the baby from up here. Okay. And he's like, "Is this your baby?" And I'm like, "No, upstairs." And I hear him pounding on the door. Then I hear that neighbor come out and they're talking. So I put my shoes on and go back up there and knock on the door and the door just slides open. And I know she has two more kids. And I just went in the hallway just anybody home? Anybody home? Anybody home? So did you enter the residence? I did. And just observe two more children in there. Did you uh were you did you like bring the baby back up with you? Yes, the baby was with me the whole I mean the the neighbor from down there brought the baby up the stairs and then when he did that he couldn't get anybody's attention up there. He handed the baby off to me cuz he had other things to do apparently. So I just It quickly became clear that the neighbor had seen the baby wandering outside alone wearing nothing but a diaper. When she brought him back home and found no one inside, she felt compelled to enter the apartment. Both that and the fact that someone was getting involved in her personal life was enough to make the suspect extremely upset. It needs to be confident. My business needs to not be out here friendly. I'm not going to go tell her. I live here, too. So, I have much's right to be out here, too. I'm not telling her your name. Okay. Can we go talk to Let's go over there. Let's go over there. Who's watching your kids right now? I am. Okay. He's going to talk to them over here. Well, that's still not enough for me. I'm not comfortable with that. She walks in my house. No, I'm not inviting nobody in my house. Okay. Well, your kids need to be looked after. We just got to figure out Exactly. But I'm trying to figure out what y'all are doing. Can you quietly tell me your name to spell it for me? No, I'm going to go over there. I don't feel comfortable. I don't believe that. The way she was talking to me, you are not going to come here and tell me to shut up about it. We're not telling you to shut up about it. We're just wanting We're Our concern here is the kids. Okay. Well, my concern here now is the people coming and trespassing my property without my permission whether if it's a bad kid or not. You don't go into somebody's house. I got that. But our cons our initial concern is the welfare of your children being out here in the parking lot. I understand. But they're not in the parking lot. Whatever she says, she just sat there in line. But when they're that little, I have another kid in there that I can tell you that's old enough to talk. He's going to tell you she not been that far over there. What are you talking about? Here. Yeah, but you sat there and lied. Stop lying about the whole situation. It is what I'm saying it is. She's not been over here. She's not been in the car. She has not been in those outside. It is dangerous for children outside. If I know if I would even think anything, I would think she was up there trying to go and knock on my door and have my kids. I wish I had a neighbor that would have watched my child when you were a neighbor that's acting like that towards me. She looking at me like I'm a disgusting. At this point, the suspect was completely uncooperative and only made things worse for herself with her reckless and confrontational attitude. I just told you my first name. You need your whole name. Okay. Well, can we confidentially go around somewhere else where I behind this car right here and you tell me? Not behind the car. I don't want to be anywhere next to her. I can't even hear. Okay. Can we wait till we till she leaves? I can't even. We need to continue our investigation, right? But I'm not doing that. You're starting to in you're starting to cause issues with we're trying to investigate. I'm not causing issues. Number one. Number one, you guys are both to me talking to me. At the same time, I have a learning disability. You guys cannot do that and neglect and overdo me like that cuz I'll sit there and tell somebody else. I'll go call your supervisor and we'll go there. Then tell us your name. Are talking to me one at a time. What is your name? Not right here. Where? Well, then would you like to go upstairs and we can go? would not like to go nowhere near my residence. I already had enough people coming in my house. Okay. So, we're not This isn't how this works. This is not Yeah, this you were asking. So, y'all both are talking to me crazy at the same time because you're not following our instructions. Okay. This is quite serious. They're It is serious and serious as you're telling people my information. There's enough to know we could detain you right now for what? For child endangerment. Yeah. I wish I was child endangerment anybody when I left for only 5 minutes. Uh 5 minutes is all it takes. They're little children. If they run All of my kids are in the house. All of my kids. It's not just one. That's not It's only four. Not just one. You guys only seen one. Not all of them. She ran out and a car was by your child. She did not come out here. She came out here. That's close enough. Down here down the steps. That's it. Her being out here without She had no supervision. You guys wouldn't even know that. The officers had arguably already given the woman more than enough chances to cooperate. Still, they offered her a few final opportunities to turn things around and and I don't care about playing it back. Like I said, I have I have a learning disability. We're going to go with the number one question that we need answered. What is your full complete name and date of birth? If y'all wanted me to go and get my ID, why don't you just say that? We asked you numerous times. Give it to you so you guys can see it. See the picture and see the name, the birthday, all that. We asked to come up there. I asked I asked you if right now if I can go get that if that's what y'all need. You don't have it on you in your purse? No, I do not. Sorry, I don't. You asked me her name. She didn't know my name until you guys told her. Okay. We didn't tell her. Yeah, you told me to tell her pretty much in front of you. I told her. Okay. She was right here. This officer just left this close to you getting into handcuffs. Okay. But then you're going to be in bigger trouble for that. No, I won't because I have a learning disability. you were taking advantage of me. You having a learning disability does not give you an exemption from being placed in handcuffs. Okay? Because I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm not committing a crime because right now you're impeding our investigation by not giving us the required information. But you got to telling other that doesn't matter. At this point, the officer's patience was wearing thin. And when the officer who had just spoken with the callers joined the conversation, he immediately laid out exactly what was going to happen next. I don't know. You have Yeah, I have something. Okay, we have enough for We have enough to detain is Okay, so right now you're going to go ahead and be detained. No, I don't need to be detained. Can you not do that, please? Okay, let let me go, please. Okay, stop. Stop. Stop. Ma'am, if you keep doing this, you're going to get my kids. You're going to get charged with an obstruction. No, I have to check on my kids. Stop. Off. All right. I got the rules already. Get off of me. No one is on your head. Get off of me. Get off of me. Get this off of me. What? I don't have nothing. Thank you for taking my kids. Can we give her full name? I did nothing. She did. Okay. You don't know about them in here. And y'all just sit there and playing the whole game. All right. Let's go to the Let's go to the car. Yeah. Ow. Get this off of me. Come on. Please. Can you widen your stance for me? Okay. I have big widen your stance for me. I take medication for anxiety. Can you guys just stop? Stop breaking my wrist. Relax. Just relax. Stand still. Follow instructions. I'm straighten my arm. I'm not anywhere near my arm. You're about to break my arm. I can't breathe. Jacket. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. Once the suspect, acting like a complete hyena, was finally placed in the vehicle, you'd think the reality of the situation might calm her down, but nope. She continued acting erratically, showing no signs of backing down. Stop hitting your head. You guys already hurt me. You guys hurt me. You guys are hurting me. A quick screaming. I can't breathe in here. I have anxiety. I need my medicine. I can't breathe. My inhaler. Your inhaler. I need it. Where is it? I need Where is it? You guys dropped my stuff. I don't know. Take a deep breath. I will get it for you. But you need to You guys dropped it somewhere. Is it in her? I need air. I need air. Um, I got both their information. She threatened her and she's in fear because she just had surgery and u she was holding the baby. So, she like flinched at her. I was like, "Did you feel like really in threat?" And she said the way the stair was and the way she was going to go down, she was afraid that she was going to shiver and she was going to fall down the stairs. All I was trying to do is get to my house. and you're lying. And I was asking her what's going on and they were telling me there and asking what's going on. I want to make sure. At this point, the woman's boyfriend arrived at the scene. I'm telling you, yo, this is not a child in a situation. Cuz you see how she's looking right now? You see how he's standing over her? Okay, give me one second. I'm going to get my cuff out. I'm going to adjust them. Can you please don't let that man touch me? I promise. Please don't let too hard. I'm not a man. Can I go inside to go inside? Check the welfare of the children. The welfare of the children. All right. You want to go and see it? We can. But at the end of the day, this right here, this is doing way too much. And I think y'all understand that. I really do think y'all understand. Y this is right here. This is way too much. 24/7. She is at home with these kids. Yo. Okay. 24/7. Then what? The moment that she sits there goes try to sit there and check about our situation living here with a parking spot. Oh, she gets police called on her and y'all sitting there and try to sit there and take her in because police called on her. She got the and and I understand what the reason is about. But I'm saying this right here going to this extent. I'm going to tell you right now, do you think she's going to be willing to sit there and be comfortable to talk to anybody in that type of situation when y'all can sit there and do that to her? When y'all can sit there and Oh, yank. We were talking to her like that. Yeah. Until the phone cut off and then you know, y'all started proceeding with that. If I wouldn't have pulled up right now, if I wasn't on the phone when this happened, then I would have never known. And then what? All the all my kids for what? Are we using the foul language? And look, you got to understand. You got to understand how this feels. Would you go through this? Have you ever went through this? Coming up, the mail officer spoke with the fire department and agreed it was important to check on the children to ensure they were safe and unharmed. Hey, buddy. How's everybody doing? Check. You're all good. Oh, yeah. We're the fire department. Make sure everything's all right. I understand that. All right. I understand that. You want to go back in the room, check to see if everything's all good? You sure? Well, what I'm asking is, is your is your kid acting normal for us? Are y'all are y'all good? Y'all got food in here? Come on. Let's show the man in the refrigerator. Let's show them how God blessed us. Okay, we'll get out of here. The D freezer, too. That's what we're here to check on, sir. We want to make sure they're okay. That's why we're here. Yeah. Hey, Dad. Yeah. I don't know your name. Miles. Miles. You like to see my ID? No. No. She just boy or girl. Sorry. I don't This is girl. This is her name is daddy now. Okay. She just came up for a head. Yeah. We get out of here. All right. You take care. Okay. The children appeared to be fine, which raised the possibility that this may have been just a one-time incident. However, what stood out to the officers was the mother's overall attitude and the way she handled the situation. I don't need her physical ID. If you could just tell me your first last name and no um and middle name, that's all I need. We just need to know who she is. Cuz I have anxiety and I just want I have this big old call. It's too hot. No, I mean the welfare check. I mean, they can't tell you that the kids are being mistreated. Okay. So, I'm I'm conducting investigation. Can I just have you step over there, please? All right. All right. Thank you. I need the seat belt off, please. I'm not We can't We can't release the seat belt right now. Yeah, you can't. You can just take it out of me. Can you sit back so it's not putting pressure on you? I can't if you guys take it off so I can I can do that. We will place you back into the car in the proper seating position and rebuckle you. That is my compromise to you. So then you'll be comfortable in the seat. I don't understand why you had to make me seem like I'm a crazy person. If I say it, I will. And I promise I'm not that kind of person. I'm not trying to I just want to [Applause] You guys aren't helping. You're amping her up. We're trying to make sure she's okay. Listen, I'm trying to conduct an investigation with her. I've been calm and cordial with her the whole time. I'm not saying nothing of that. She's going to stay in cuffs. She's going to stay in cuffs regardless. Okay. Either way, can you get her out? That's against our policy. I'm not going to break my policy for that. She's been cleared by fire at this point. All right. So, let me just conduct my investigation. That's all I'm asking. That's it. Yo, despite the male officer stating that she wouldn't be released from her cuffs, another officer proceeded to explain to the boyfriend what would happen next. She like is like working on this right now. Okay. So, she'll be issuing a citation. Okay. And we'll be releasing her here. Okay. Okay. And that way she'll have her, you know, everything be documented, everything else like that. Okay. All right. And then um that way you'll be able to get back to work. She'll be able to continue to watch out for the kids. Okay. All right. Man, that that that that's all I'm trying to sit there come to as a means is not, you know, trying to go back and forth. working on both sides, you know, and that's why I I'm I'm back forth on the phone, you know, with my LT already, but we're going to issue the citation to the back. But she's under arrest. So, that's my stuff. Is my phone even working? Yes, ma'am. Why is there water in my phone? It's working. You put water in my phone. She would have been fine. It would have been a lot better. So, it'll be good. We're going to work on getting a citation and uh we'll work on getting her going from there. Okay. Nerd. I appreciate it. Y'all bro, I didn't do nothing to you. That's 343. So 343. They did me so I don't deserve this. I'm only 90 lb and y'all hold 300 lb on me in my back. And y'all call the paramedics again. Please. You want the paramedics again? Yes. Okay. Let me again. They're going to take me to the hospital now. You want to go to the hospital? I want I want injuries. All the injuries they put on me. All the injuries they did to me. Okay. I'm hurt. Okay. Coming up, the woman was released from her handcuffs and given a court date. Although she was free to go for now, she still had plenty of things to be upset about. My baby got this for me. Y'all ruin everything. Let's have you step on people like this. Can have you turn and face the car? Awesome. Can I have you straighten out your nothing to nobody ain't hurt nobody nobody get nothing you can go with the the medics citation date it's March 5th and you got to be there at 8:30 nice to meet you can I make sure my stuff not in here yes they're right here for you my stuff all around here's all your stuff that's everywhere can I look in here no ma'am we cannot That is all your stuff right there. But we need to know what we're looking for. I feel like they touched my stuff. Why is this messed up? And this is a port number receipt. Can I get another copy of it? Cuz I need it. We didn't do that. You did? How is it wet? If it fell out of your bag, we It did not fall out of my bag. She's a liar. Would you like to go in the hospital? Would you like to go on the ambulance? I would like for you to leave me alone. Okay. Well, I have all these other medical professionals standing here. If you don't want I wouldn't need them if you wouldn't have had put your hands on me like this. Okay. I said if you do not want to go with them, I would like to release them cuz they got other people that they could help. I know. Give me a break. I just got out the car. I've been sitting here. I guess you guys can release. If they need to call back, we'll uh if they need back, we'll uh we'll go ahead and uh call. The woman was charged with neglect and obstructing justice. Now, to the case where officers encountered an incredibly careless teen mom who was more focused on arguing with her sister over a Tik Tok video they had just made than caring for her baby. Me and her are cleaning. We were arguing. We were making a Tik Tok. I don't know if you guys are familiar with Tik Tok. I'm going to shut my door now. No, we're going to leave it open for the time being. Okay. Um, no. You don't pay my rent, so I will be If you try to push Don't Don't shut the door. Now you'reresting your face. I shut the door in your face. Stop. On March 8th, 2024, officers responded to an apartment complex after receiving a report of two women fighting and causing a disturbance. When they arrived, the scene was already tense. just seconds away from spiraling out of control. How you doing, ladies? What What's actually going on? I got a woman running around the back of building 200 banging on things. There's two I think there's two girls there and they're scream. She was screaming, "Get out of my house. Get out of my house." Let me take a ride over. Let's see what's coming. Hey, miss. Did you happen to call us? There's somebody running around out here. I hear him in here. 70. It's going to be room or correction apartment 210. Police department. Open the door. It's the police department coming up. The suspect opened the door and immediately confronted the officer with a rude attitude. She then tried to slam the door in his face, but quickly realized that wasn't the smartest move. I have the right to open or search my door. So, I'm not going to be opening my door. Okay. What's going on here today? Okay. Nothing. There was I'm moving out my stuff and I'm cleaning out my stuff with my sister. Are you guys playing with the sister again or having an argument or something? No. Cuz we got called for some sort of a disturbance. People were yelling. I'm sure it was upstairs, right? The [ __ ] Okay. Wherever it was. Well, they're just haters and they've been stalking me probably and I should call the police on them. But no, me and my sister. Who else? Who else is here? My sister. She's staying here. What's your first name again? What's your sister's name? Can I talk to you? We're in our bras, respectfully, but you know. How you doing, miss? Do you mind just stepping out here and talking to Officer Prior? Yeah. Uh, can we go to somewhere? Go for it. I'm gonna shut my door now. No, we're going to leave it open for the time being. Okay. Um, no. You don't pay my rent, so I will be If you try to push Don't shut your stand over here. Stand over here. Stand over here. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Take a breath. Over here. [Music] Back up. Stop resisting. I resist the door in your face. I shut the door in your face. Stop. Stop resisting. No. Don't touch me. Stop. Stop resisting. Stop resisting. Stop resisting. Give me your other hand. Give me your other hand. Give me your other hand. At this point, the suspect was already in handcuffs, but had just added a charge for resisting arrest. Furthermore, her sister had just made the terrible decision of interfering with the officers, and as a result, it wouldn't be long before she ended up in cuffs, too. No, no, no. You stop. What the is wrong with you? No. What the hell happened? What the wrong with you? While the officers attended to the suspect's sister, the suspect suddenly tried to flee the scene. Got a female running towards the main entry. She's handcuffed, white shirt, purple pants. Stop. No. You're on recording. I will record you. No. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. You're me. Why are you grabbing my hand like that? No. Stop touching me. Hands up. Can I put my hand on the floor? Here. There. Okay. There. Right here. Okay. 10458's on the way. up. I up so bad. You did. Stop [ __ ] with me. After apprehending the suspect, the male officer radioed the assisting officer to call for backup. Okay, you got her. Yeah, I got her here by the mail officer. I don't want to. Do you want me to secure her in a car and help you? Yeah, if you can. No, we're fine over here now. Let's go over here. No, we're not going anywhere. Um, yo, I'm cooperating with you. No, you're not. Yes, I am. I told you from the get- go to cooperate. Stop touching stuff. I'm not touching. I'm not touching. The are you talking about? I'm not. You're hurting me. She's trying to kill me. So, she just Yeah. She's in her car. If you want, just you can wait with her. I'll wait till Tash gets her. We'll escort her over. Okay. They're drunk. I'm not drunk. You're ashole. You're trying to manipulate me into this situation. You're anshole. No, I'm not drunk. You're trying to manipulate me into the situation. Take a breath. I don't know why. Take a breath. I just want to shut the door. Okay. I told you you can't do that. Shut the door. But this was going to happen. You cannot hit a police officer, miss. I didn't shut I didn't hit you. I shut the door in your face and you spit at me. So my eyes I because you shut the door and I know my rights. Relax. Stop. I know. I know my rights. So you're getting sued now. I'm sitting on you because you're getting sued cuz you're you're over here detaining me, right? Putting your hands on me, right? Cuz all I did was shut the door in your face. The suspect had already made plenty of bad decisions that day, but spitting at the officers took her outrageous behavior to a whole new level. You're going to get sued. No. Get your hands off of me. You don't have warrant to restrain me. Get off of me. Get off of me. Get off of me. I'm restrain. I stop. Get off of me. You boys are cheating, but please I have to pick up my son and you're Get off of me. Do you have a spit mask on? You're triggering me. Oh, you got one. Yeah. No, I'm not the spit. I can't breathe cuz I can't breathe. She's going to spit. Stop touching me. Don't touch me. No. No, I'm not. upper pocket. No, please. Why? You just That's fine. Just slide this over and then we're going to take this other mask off. Okay. Relax your head. We're going to sit you off. Okay. Sit your head up. M. Come here. Roll over. There you go. Can we just roll on her side? Take the uh Can we take that off? Relax. Okay. There you go. You want me just on it? Just put it like towards the back just way. All right, let's sit her up. Come here. You have another one under there. Yeah. Coleman's commence. Is that better? Just walk over with Sean to her car. We have her sister. Out through your mouth. Okay. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Stand right here. Officer Ridley's going to search you. Okay. Do you have anything on you? You got Yep. Come on. We're going to go towards the door. No, I was I don't know who else is in the house. I'm just going to go check real quick. No, I will put a restraining order on you. When the officer entered the house, he looked for any deeper reason behind the fight. Something more than just a silly Tik Tok. While he didn't find any illegal paraphernalia, he did notice several open bottles of alcohol. Coming up, both women were transported to the hospital to be medically evaluated before going to jail. That was probably the best I've ever driven to recall. Cool. I hit the curb. Really? I knocked the alignment of the car. We're good. Nice. See? Come on. Where? No. On the junk hand. [Music] Come on. You got her up. Yep. The first suspect was charged with resisting arrest and assault on an officer. The suspect's sister was charged with obstruction. Now to the case of a mom who had apparently grown tired of parenting and decided the solution was as simple as dropping her kids off at a relative's doorstep. Basically saying, "Here, you deal with them." Now you can't just like drop off your kids at like people's houses. I left them with their family members and I'm going to jail for abandonment. Yep. You're going to go Whoa. What the hell are you doing? Did you just offer? I sure did. Okay. Well, now that's a felony. That's fine with me. Sick. Okay. On January 10th, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence after a caller reported that a woman had dropped off her three children at their doorstep and then sped off without a word. What is the circumstances with her dropping off the kiddos here? So, I haven't spoke with Zia since what, May. She's dropped the kids off at their dad's job. He took them back to her. They did a wellness check. She chased him in traffic. I saw this on video, chat. She chased him in traffic with the kid. I don't know if the kids were in the car. Yeah. Chase Chased him in traffic. Went and got the kids. And I'm asleep. He said, "Somebody's banging at your door." Yeah. I was sitting in the room. We was just I was She was literally falling asleep and I heard like a consistent knock. Okay. And I was like, "Somebody's knocking at the door." So then we both got up and she went to the window right here and was like she she seen who it was and was like, "You you're not supposed to be here." And she's like backing away. Tell your brother to come get the kids. Takes off running and backs out backs out the entire She didn't drive at all. She backed out the entire parking lot and then spent on She never went in here. Never came in. No. Where were the Where were the kids at? Sitting on my front porch. Right in front of the door. Soon as we open the door. The bags. They had bags and all three of them in car seats. The house where the mother had dropped off her children turned out to belong to the father's sister and her boyfriend. Based on what the officers had learned so far, it appeared to be a case of abandonment. But they knew there was still a lot to uncover. Most importantly, they needed to make contact with the suspect. Ultimately, like that's what we care about, the safety. We're going to write a thing up about this and then we're going to forward it to CPS. Okay. Okay. I think a CPS call has already been made. Okay. Well, there's going to be another one cuz it's uh leaving the kids out here and running away is not cool. Um, thank God you guys allowed them to, you know, get some. I wasn't going to I wasn't going to leave them outside. Coming up, one of the officers walked outside to talk with the suspect's mom, the children's grandma. Hello. So, this is Officer Boy with the Federal Way Police Department. So, uh we're here with your grandbabies and we're trying to get this all situation uh sorted out. Uh situation is the kids were left at their auntie's house. Correct. The youngest one, the one that's um sleeping, the one that has the cleft lip, and they had uh the baby, she has a feeding tube, correct? So, our concern right now is that uh she needs to be fed. When do you know when the last time that she was fed? I don't think we need to get CPS to like take kids right now cuz Auntie's coming to get them. But it's just the mom is like tripping out like you can't be doing that. I tried to call her like several times and and she's allegedly on her way to Oregon. She had that's what she said earlier when we went to Maraposa. I don't mean to interrupt you. I want to make sure that the little the little baby is medically okay. And then how often how often does she need to be fed during uh via the feeding tube? Fed on the feeding tube every 3 hours. H. What's left of it? 145. So bad. Coming right up on it. Why are you not grabbing the mother's information? Oh, my partners are grabbing all that. So, this is my portion of the investigation. What are you investigating, sir? That the children was dropped off with their auntie. It sounds like your daughter dropped uh the kids off over here and then took off. So he was supposed to have the kids, then he dropped them off. Your daughter came, picked them up, and then dropped them off over here. Well, so she's not here taking care of her kids right now. So that is our number one concern. And so you're not able to come pick up the grandb babies, but you're able to go to work. So if you're not going to give me your information, I'll let you get ready for work. Uh, and then if another unknown number calls, uh, just know that's the Federal Way Police Department trying to get a hold of you. Okay. At this point, the officer knew the fire department needed to check on the children, especially the infant who was supposed to be fed every 3 hours. Coming up, the officer called the father and asked him to come to the scene. Z officer Bole with the Federal Way Police Department. Just to let you know, I have my body camera on. What's going on tonight? Uh, are you able to come pick the kids up? Perfect. We need you to come pick the kids up at the auntie's at the auntie's house. Okay. Okay, perfect. Well, you'll see uh multiple police officer cars. Just pull up and we will talk to you outside and then we'll get the kids in your possession. Okay. Okay. So, grandma refused to give me her name or anything like that, but she was willing to talk on the phone with me. Uh she was able to get a hold of mom uh is at home and she said that she's willing to come pick the kids up. So, I told her to come pick the kids up as soon as possible and she said she's about 5 10 minutes out. Okay. We're going to talk to her. Yeah. Uh 100%. I didn't I didn't give her any information over the phone. I just wanted to get her on location. Perfect. So, I don't know if I'm comfortable with that now. No, after what she did. At this point, the dad arrived at the scene and appeared visibly confused and upset about the situation. Three and a father just arrived on scene. Why did she drop these folks off here? What's the deal? What's going on? What's up? What did she What did she say to you? What did she do? She didn't say anything. I got a call from Tamasa saying that my kids are here. Yeah. And I left the kids at their grandma's, but she's not even our relative, right? And like she's like she said, they they have a case. Why she brought them here, I have no idea. We just had a conversation. Yeah, we did. Yeah. Me and me, we just had a conversation. I was waiting for her to get to the house. I was at work. She comes to my job. Okay. drops the kids off and walks out. I have bags and I have bags, car seats outside of my outside of my building. She just dropped off the kids. Just dropped off the kids, walked out the door. Are you guys separating? Yes. So, I go to her house. Okay. I have a key to her house, right? I And then that's where you saw us, right? Yes. Perfect. I'm at the house. I'm like, "Yo, you need to come get the kids." Blas blas. I don't know if she was coming, whatnot. I went to her mom's house, their grandma's house. I left the kids there. What did grandma say? The grandma I I didn't talk to the grandma. She was there with the kids. Okay. So, I'm just trying to figure out how it got to this situation. I have no like I Okay, no worries. Um if I do see her uh mom though, she's going to be placed under arrest. Okay. For a damage. Um do you know where she could be right now? I have no idea. After speaking with the father, one of the officers got on the phone with the mom. And that was when the situation turned even more sickening with her saying things such as, "I just need a break. What's the deal?" Yes. I have a job. I I deserve a break. He hasn't came and got them none of the days that are his. Okay, hang on. So, I dropped them off on the days that was his. Okay, but when they when they when they called you, they they advised me that you were at home after you dropped off the kids. Yes, I went back home. I start work at 7. They've been there for since 3:00. They've been there way longer than that. Okay. Okay. I didn't drop them up until 3:50. Them kids been there for there 2 hours before you guys even called my mom. Okay. Okay. And uh what's your ETA here? That's 5 minutes. I got gas. Car's going to cut out. Has anyone tried to call their dad to come get them? Yeah, we'll we'll facilitate that. We we'll we'll try and get that working. But we got to This is like pretty serious, right? I mean like can't just like drop off your kids at like people's houses. Honest like someone needs to call their dad. I just I don't know like man I'm just so mad like this ridiculous to me if I can't even get a break. I can't even get my days that we'reing we have. All right. Well, just let you know the fire department is here and they're working on feeding your 10-month old because the feeding tube isn't working. And so like that's like a whole another issue here that we're trying to we're trying to make sure that these kids are taken care of. uh clamp. So, we're we're like I said, we're trying to make sure these kids are taken care of, right? That's like the whole issue here. Like nobody knows about the whole like feeding thing. Like this is why it's very like alarming that like you would just leave your kids here and leave. Um so anyways, I I'll talk to you more when you get here. Coming up, the mom arrived at the scene and the officers knew exactly how to tackle the first encounter with her. She's got like a like a feeding tube thing going on. Yeah. Is the clamp a clamp? It's not working. Okay, hang on. Put your hands behind your back. Okay. Yeah. Why are both of you arrested? You're under arrest for abandonment. I'm under arrest for abandonment. Yep. Yep. Who did I abandon? All of your children. I left them with their dad. No, you didn't. Are you kidding me? I left them with their family members and I'm going to jail for abandonment. Yep. You're going to go. Whoa. Hold the No. I need to call my mom first. Day shift is taking who? Their dad's here and you're telling me he can't do the clamp problem. Also, uh you're suspended or revoked third degree. So, you're also arrested for uh suspended in the third degree. Yeah, you're unable to drive. So, what the what about my left or right? So, who's going to park my car? Let's do Let's do uh let's do uh what's it real quick? Oh, what the Okay, spread your feet. That's fine. All right, since you got my mom, this is crazy. You're going to be in jail until Monday. It's the weekend. What do you mean Monday? It's It's the weekend. Do you have anything on? There's no court tomorrow. Tomorrow's Friday. Yes, it's Today is Friday. I have work, so that's why you guys had me come here. Well, dad's here and uh the baby is in dire need to go to the hospital right now. What do you mean that I just fed her? What are you talking about? There is no dying need of nothing. That's what the department fire department said. I'll get nothing. No, you're lying. I have her feeding things right on my schedule. You guys are lying. No, you guys are not about to sit here make it seem like I did didn't feed my child. Coming up, one of the officers got to talk with the dad again and prevented him from escalating the situation further. All right, so Dad, why don't you hang back with me for a second? Uh, we got mom in custody. All right, we don't need any interaction between you two. All right, it's already been a stressful night for you guys. Uh, let's try to limit all that. She has no reason to be aggressive towards me. I've not been mean or aggressive towards nobody. So be tortured. You have no reason, like I said, to be aggressive towards you. Coming up, the woman was transported to the police station where the male officer began writing up the charges. Now extended to include assaulting an officer. I didn't drop them off by themselves. Like, come on, man. I don't know if I really neglected these kids. dropped his comp. You're under arrest for abandonment third degree and assault three during a a police officer. Assault three on a police officer. Yep. It's a felony. You'll be going to the King County Jail. Okay. Before she was transported to jail, one of the officers asked the woman to share her side of the story. Her explanation slightly shifted their perspective as it appeared the children were actually in their father's custody. He had just prioritized work over properly caring for them. Okay, you can uh start now going over your side of the story. What exactly happened? Um well from the beginning me and Murice have four days on four days off. I have them Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and drop them off Thursday at daycare and supposed to pick them up Thursday afternoon. these last few weeks he hasn't been picking him up. So I told him today and I'll be dropping them off. Like it wasn't a conversation. So he was like, "Well, I don't get off until 11." So I was like, "Perfect." So I packed up all my kids' clothes for 5 days with extra outfits. So he come food. I did everything like I normally do and I dropped him off at his job. But the only difference this time is I dropped him off early. So, he gets mad and he was like, "Well, you need to come back to the house to pick up your kids." I said, "I'm not coming to pick them up." So, we get into a verbal exchange argument. He said that he was leaving the kids there at the house. So, I called the police and asked them to go check my house to see if they were there with my kids. At first, the officer couldn't get up there. They called me back. They asked me if I can come to the house and get the kids. I said, "Well, I'm on the freeway to Courtland." And I really was. I was leaving Seattle and I said, "Well, it's going to take me time to get back." So, I stopped the car cuz I was in late when I stopped and I waited and I waited. I waited. I I just smoked me a blunt. That's how long I waited. The officer calls me back and was like, "Well, uh, we can't get inside your apartment. Um, do you have a family member to call?" I said, "No, I don't have nobody who can get to my apartment." He goes back after I tell him my kids is ages. He goes back. He knocks on the door and Maurice is there with the kids. He has the kids. So I go back on the freeway and I start headed back to Portland. So when I'm on my way back, my mom starts blowing up my phone. She was like, "Cuz I your kids are at my front door." I said, "What do you mean my kids are at your front door?" She said, "Resa left these kids here with nothing but a jacket on." And I said, "Are you serious?" And she was like, "Yes." So I had to turn all the way back around and my kids are outside. So I said, "Dude, you're playing. I'm going to drop these kids off at your godmark's house." Like, "These are your dates." I go to his godm's house. No one answers the door. So then I go on Snapchat and Facebook. He's over at Tamas's house. So I go over there and I drop the kids off at Tomas's house. Yes. I packed them out of the car. I put them in front of the door and I knocked at the door and I stood there. First thing to master does, she comes down the stairs. That window that is right there, she opens it. She was like, "Cuzay, you can't leave your kids here." I said, "I know your brother's here." So Maurice parked. Okay, let me go back. There's two ways to get to her house. There's the back way you can go when you go around the roundabout. That's the way that I came. I came around the roundabouts in the back and Reese's car was parked on the side of the street. The mother was charged with abandonment and assaulting a police officer. As for the children, they were released into their father's custody. After hearing her side of the story, what do you think the outcome of this case should
