I didn't do it. Literally, >> I am going to rescue my little shut off. >> Are you going to be okay for the best? >> Guess so or yes. >> This mother was exposed by her own daughter after pushing her to the breaking point, leaving the girl no choice but to call the police. Sadly, this is far from an isolated case, as some parents push their children to unimaginable extremes. But what happens when a child is far smarter than parents ever imagined, forcing them to face the authorities head on? Come outside. What's going on? >> No. >> Thank you. >> What is going on? >> Thank you. >> Let us see the door. >> YOU DON'T HAVE >> YES, WE DO. >> ENOUGH. >> Put your hands BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. [screaming] >> LAY ON YOUR BACK. >> Lay on your back. >> What happened? [music] >> He was staring at me with the kids and I can hear my door. He kept slapping over and over again. >> Was the youngest and he was like, "Ow, daddy. down. >> These were the moments when cops confronted terrible parents after their children's 911 call. We begin with a case of a troubling couple who swore they could outsmart officers [music] after being spoiled by their kids, only to quickly discover that their flimsy excuses would not hold. >> What happened to your lip? >> I fell earlier. >> You fell earlier? >> Drinking, bro. I drink a lot. I got like four domestics from her. Three or [music] four. >> Is she here? >> No, she knows she not here. I don't even want her here, bro. >> Do you mind if we check? >> You can check all you want, bro. Okay, come on. Come here. Put your back. >> On April 1st, 2025, officers were dispatched to an apartment after a call reporting that a couple was physically fighting. Upon arrival, officers heard screaming inside the residence, growing increasingly worried about the kid's safety inside. Hear that? Villa Park Police. Villa Park Police. Villa Park Police. >> Can you come talk to us real quick? We got a call about some kind of argument. >> Thank you. >> What? >> The police department, sir. >> Yeah, that's great. You've been here a million times. What do you want to know? >> Somebody called us about some kind of argument going on. So, we got to check on you guys. >> Man, >> what was that? >> Me and my two dogs, bro. >> That's fine. I mean, we just got to check on you guys. Make sure you're okay. It's not the end of the world. >> All right. Well, you guys, this is too much. too much. >> I'm telling you what we need to do, man. Someone called us. We're here, right? It is what it is. It's not the end of the world. >> Once we check on you guys, make sure. Okay, we'll be out of here. That's it. Not a big deal. >> No. How are you guys? >> What happened? >> What happened? >> We can't even talk and you can't hear. Is your wife or spouse here or girlfriend? >> Oh man, she ain't mean to say. >> The man was no stranger to the system as officers had dealt with him and his girlfriend just days earlier for the same reason. The deputies were all too familiar with their case and well aware of how troubled their relationship was. >> So we're here because somebody called saying that you and females argue >> somebody from inside the apartment that they call every two seconds, bro. a call about an argument between you and >> who? >> Who called? >> I don't care about who arguing with who. >> That's what we're trying to figure out. >> That's why we're here. >> So, we got to make sure you're okay. We got to make sure that whoever else is in here is okay. And that's why we're just sitting down. >> Can you go talk to them downstairs real quick? Make sure everything's okay. Um, why would someone keep calling us and saying you guys are arguing if there's no arguing? >> Well, we raised our boys. The price is used to us me and my ex fight me. It's >> thin walls, dude. You know, >> I know. Um, >> married girlfriend. I forget. It's been a minute. >> Girlfriend. My kids. >> She's not here. She is here. >> Nah, she's not allowed to be here for like another day. >> From the domestic issue. >> So, why why are we here earlier? Cuz I wasn't working there. >> Cuz I was me and this kid were arguing and me I drink, bro. So, some stupid whatever. >> Okay. >> And lay down. Um, my mother was here earlier, too. She upset about some other. My mom doesn't like my ex. So, my mom's Mexican. She's black and white. She's tired of her. >> Please, she wants me to file for custody and be done. >> The couple had a history of domestic violence, including a restraining order against one of them. Clear evidence of their troubled relationship. Yet, the man answered the door and spoke with the officers as if everything were fine, even though it was obviously not. >> What happened to your lip? >> Uh, I fell earlier. >> You fell earlier? >> Drinking, bro. I drink a lot. >> How much did you drink today? >> You're an adult. I don't >> I got to make sure you're okay. >> Drink a lot, bro. All right. So, let me ask you a couple questions just to make sure that you know where you're at. I I know it's stupid, man. Just heal me. I got a body camera. I got >> That's good. That's good. >> What day of the week? >> Sunday. >> Okay. What? Uh, >> no. No. Tuesday. >> Okay. Close. What? Uh, >> it's not Tuesday. >> No. No. Close to Sunday. You said Sunday. >> It's Tuesday. >> What time is it right now, do you think? Take you guess. >> I want to say around 4. You're making sure. >> No. Listen, these are dumb questions. Humor me. Okay. >> Bro, I drink. Look, I'm going say right now. I drank what, like seven shooters in the morning. >> I drank like four more this afternoon. >> Okay. >> When I woke up and then she's like, "I'm order some for my birthday." Cool. And that's it. >> Are you not working right now? Don't you work? Let's >> I'm working, bro. I got vacation days. I got two weeks vacation. I got one week sick days. >> Gotcha. Okay. What's the plan for the rest of the day? >> Cuz I just don't want to keep coming back at this >> and just get No, I get it, man. just where we at right now, bro. I'm just praying, but we little noise, bro. You guys show up. I thought you guys were here for >> You got to understand where I'm coming from. Where if somebody calls us and says something's going on, we got to check on you. I get it's annoying, bro. >> I get it's annoying, right? But unfortunately, you guys live in an apartment, you got thin walls. If you get into some little argument, someone's going to call, dude. I got a call a little bit ago for somebody who had trash behind their gar their their uh garage. They call the police for that. People call stuff. Is there a recent incident here between you and your uh wife girlfriend? >> Yeah, it was like Friday. She got locked over the monster. >> All right. Is she Did you contact her since she >> No, we can't. I think one more day. >> I don't even know if we're going to work it out. It's been like 3 years of this. >> So, she hasn't reached out to you. >> Well, she's reached out, but not through her dad. Her dad talked to me. >> Okay. >> We know how it goes. I got like four domestics from her. Three or four. >> So, this time around, she took a nice little chunk out of me. So, she went >> here. Is she here? >> No, she knows she not be here. I don't even want her here, bro. >> Do you mind if we check? >> You can check how you want, bro. >> At this point, the man tried to smooth things over and mislead the officers, but a quick check of the residents was about to unravel his plan. >> There's a second door into the apartment. Here's the kitchen. Okay, come on. Come here. Put your eyes. >> The woman, Ashley, was the other half of the troubled relationship. She had a 72-hour restraining order against the man and had been reported for domestic violence more than twice before. Though they had tried to hide, the couple's plan to escape their troubles had now fallen apart, leaving no way out. >> Victor, uh, >> it's 72 hours to pick up my stuff. I think there are two of them I'm in the am. Put your hands on your back for a minute. Okay. Because you're hiding in the closet when the police are here. I don't know why you're hiding in the closet. So right now you're detained. >> Stop moving. >> Stop moving. >> Something against me. >> I don't have anything against you. But when we get called Hey, listen. When we get called in for domestic and I'm trying to find you, you're hiding in the closet holding the damn door. What does it look like? Right. >> Are you good? >> Yeah, I got it ready. >> All right, let's go. Why are you hiding in the damn closet? cuz it's my time to get my But you guys don't ever understand. That's the thing. >> Was I here earlier? >> I don't know. >> Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say you can't listen. What is your first name? I don't know your first name. What is your first name? >> Ashley. >> Ashley. Look at me. You're not under arrest. You're detained right now. Again, I don't know why you're hiding in the closet. That's why you're in cuffs. Okay. But I'm going to read your man rights anyways. Okay. >> Don't go down there. Don't put on there. Buddy, you're not going down there. I said no. If you just I am going to rescue my >> I'm not going to fight with you in a stairwell. >> What am I going to do with the babies, bro? You stupid. >> Come on. Nothing's happening, dude. We're just asking you to stay separated, >> dude. Shut the up, man. >> Clearly, >> just relax babies, man. >> Nobody said anything about the babies. THEY'RE FINE. I DIDN'T GO. LITERALLY, >> did you guys have a 70 a couple days ago? >> Correct. >> No, more than a couple days ago. Way more than a couple days ago. >> I was told you have a 72 Thursday night. >> Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. This can all be figured out. But you got to be cool with me cuz I don't know anything about you, right? So, I got to get things sorted out. Okay. Well, you got called here for a domestic. Okay. That's why we're here. Obviously hiding in the closet for a reason cuz I'm guessing you're not supposed to be here. >> No, that's not true. Listen, can I explain something? >> Let's go to the car. We'll explain it. Explain it to me. I just don't want to talk here because you're going to piss off. >> I just don't No, he's not pissed off at me. >> No, he could be pissed off at me. That's fine. But explain to me. What do you want to explain to me? So, I understand. >> The couple was visibly stressed, [music] fearing that a situation that had been simmering for some time might take an even darker turn. Ashley's presence in the residence hiding in the closet certainly didn't help their story. And once again, their cycle was repeating. >> But it's like with this. I didn't even do anything this time. >> Okay. So, understand this. Okay. >> How embarrassing was this? >> Listen. Go to the other side. Other side of the car. Other side of the car. >> Damn. for real. Like you don't care. Seriously. >> This is like a game or funny. I don't know. For real. Like >> all right. Right now I got one female custody. Have a seat for a second till we get this sorted up. So when did you and what's your boyfriend? >> I can get up there. >> What? What? When did you and your boyfriend have a couple days ago? Correct. >> Um like Thursday evening. >> Okay. Did you get I I don't know what happened. Did you get arrested? What was the deal? >> Um yeah. They told us 72 hours. They said I could visit one time within the 72 hours to get my children. >> Okay. >> So therefore, I was there >> and all of a sudden police being called. So my first instinct, sorry you guys, but >> last time I I felt like I wasn't even doing much either and I got arrested. So >> well, if you have a 72-hour stay away and you can't be here, that's a problem, right? That's >> well it's past 72 hours now. That's not my fear. Like right now my fear is more that somebody called and I don't know why because like okay like I don't know why they called. They said that >> well who knows what >> we were told there was an argument inside the apartment again. >> Right. That's my worry more versus the 72-hour part. That part I only came here now because that's passed >> the 19th from two seconds. You're in the car so I can proceed. We're not going anywhere yet. >> If it turns out to be nothing, it turns out to be nothing. >> Yeah, but still. >> But there's a problem. >> If if we get here and let's say it's a let's say it's just a stupid argument, who gives, right? It's an argument. >> Oh man, all these people looking at me again. >> If it you're in a car, they can't see you. Okay? If it's an argument, don't hide in the closet from us, right? I mean, it doesn't work. It doesn't look well. >> All right. Sit tight for a minute. At this point, with the couple under control, the officers turned their attention to Ashley's 16-year-old daughter to hear her side of the story and ensure she was safe. However, her behavior immediately raised suspicions, signaling that something was seriously wrong. >> Is there any abuse or anything like that going on in here besides what's going on between your mom and and him? >> Could there have been like existence in the past where like they physical, >> right? No, we're aware of that. I'm talking about with you. Oh, >> no. Good. >> You're not mistreated here or anything like that? >> And I took my leg. >> Yeah. >> She had >> And then DCFS was in California. >> Nope. >> Okay. >> I didn't hear what she said. >> Uh we took mom away for her before. >> Okay. But not stepdad. I think she hit. No, >> I'm talking about him against you. >> No. >> Okay. All right. See, there's no You would have no issues with stepad. >> Mhm. >> Okay. You're good with him? >> Yeah. >> Are you going to be okay with him? >> I guess so. >> Guess so. Or yes. She's not going to be here right now. That's why we're asking you. Are you okay with step? She's not going to be here. She has to go see a judge. You sure? All right. You're free to go outside if you're okay. If you're sure you're okay. Now's the time. If you don't feel comfortable here, we need you to go figure out arrangers. Just because you come to the police station doesn't mean you're going to tell jail means where else do I take you until we have something to go. But if you're comfortable staying here, you're more than welcome to watch. >> Where would that go? like after the police station like would I go to a shelter or something? >> Uh if we can't find a family member, >> would I stay there? Like unfortunately me and my boss here, we don't get to make that decision. That would be entirely up to a charge. >> Are they married? >> No, not married. Are are you going to be safe? You sure? How old are you? You want to go back inside? >> You have a You have a phone, right? >> I got it. Okay. You can dial 911. Give me prompts. Okay. >> Why am I not helping? >> Unfortunately for the officers, their instincts were correct and the situation was about to escalate. After confirming that no laws had been broken, officers escorted Ashley back inside. But less than an hour later, dispatch received another call reporting a physical altercation between the troubled couple. >> Open the door. >> I'm not I'm trying to open it, but there's kids. Hello. >> Can you come and talk to me? All right. What's going on? What's going on? >> I heard you yelling. What does this mean? I don't know what that means. You got to talk to me. No, >> I don't. >> What's up with your mouth? Come this way. >> What are you guys What were you guys arguing about today? They were out here earlier. They said that you guys you're not supposed to be provoking or anything like that. Can you come this way? Man, man. >> Oh, man. We told you we were going to be back. >> Okay. So, is your dad really coming to pick you up? >> Mhm. >> Or is that just something that you're saying? Cuz I don't want to have to come back again later. Okay. This has to stop. >> Okay. This has to stop. >> Okay. So, what are we going to do? What are we doing so that this stops? Okay. What happened to your mouth? What happened to your mouth? >> You're not going to talk to me. We're >> adult, bro. >> Can you stop? Let me talk to her. >> Nobody touch your mouth, bro. I ain't trying to do that. >> Can you talk to me like an adult, >> bro? Talk, bro. >> Do you want to talk? >> Can you talk to me like an adult? >> [ __ ] bro. >> I don't talk. >> Okay. So, what are you going to do to fix this? >> Just >> Okay. What time is your dead? >> I'm trying to leave. >> Okay. Did you call him already? >> Mhm. >> What time is he coming? >> Soon as possible. >> And what is soon? What is >> I don't know. I don't even have my phone to text him right now. So, I'm trying to wait and see. >> Okay. Where is your phone? >> I got to look in there for you somewhere in there. >> We had a conversation with >> She doesn't want to talk. She won't tell. >> She's got fresh blood on her. >> You don't have to say anything. At this point, Ashley's patience was clearly wearing thin, but the officer's patience was gone entirely. Fed up with the way the couple's relationship continued to spiral, [music] they stepped in once more, determined to put a definitive end to the situation. >> Maybe she's got a goal for the day. >> That's it, man. That's it, bro. >> So, where does grandpa live or dad? >> Uh, we'll call him right now. >> We had a conversation. The [ __ ] weird can't even talk. Nothing. >> Yeah, but clearly it's not working today. >> It's not. So maybe today we get elsewhere. >> Is this really what you try to do, bro? >> I'm not trying to do anything. >> She didn't call. >> I know. She didn't call, bro. >> No. The only person the only person in this park with any sense is the one who call cuz you guys can't be around each other. >> Yeah. This is out of character, man. It's third time today. Hi. >> Why does it take them to show up for you to be okay? Hi. >> That's the only time you calm down. >> I don't know. >> Ashie, I don't want you to leave, bro. >> I really don't know where it is. >> Ashley, you want to leave? You want to leave? >> I think it's the best thing for you guys. >> Do you want to leave? Ashley, do you want to leave? >> Answer. Stop. >> Ashley, do you want to leave? >> Come on, man. >> She's got to go today. She can go in handcuffs cuz she's violation, right? >> Yeah. >> Oh, get that. >> All right. So, let's get her to her dad so she doesn't go in handcuffs. >> Why are you doing anything? >> You have a court order. >> We've talked to her about this. I told you about this. >> Let the three kids go with her to somewhere. You take a break from her. >> Assass. Just take him, bro. Asie. >> Okay. >> You talk all that about your dad, bro. Grab all the kids and go, >> bro. Your dad. All right. >> Call your dad. >> It's probably a right call, man. >> I want a restraining order. Don't come back, Ashley. >> All right. >> You could probably get one just off the last, >> bro. You want a restraining order? I'm telling you. >> The couple's relationship was not a problem that could be easily resolved. Years of arguments and fights had turned it into something far from safe and making the couple realize that it would be no easy task. You >> okay? >> You physical. >> Keep it up, bro. Cuz this is the last time. >> Okay. You didn't see? >> No. All right. Did you go over? >> I tried. >> You hear that? >> You were told this earlier. >> Earlier you were told. >> I know. It's like doing anything like >> Why do your children have to call for you guys? >> Who? My children. >> Somebody called that. It wasn't you, you or him. Somebody else called. >> Well, that's why we're here. Okay, that's why we're here. >> Don't matter. >> Cuz what's going to happen right now? He's got visible ones, too. You guys are rolling your ass. What's going to happen with your children? >> I don't know what you guys want from me at this point. >> We need you to stop this. >> I'm waiting for my dad. >> Not saying that you guys have have a permanent solution, but this is the third time today. >> Yes. What's up? >> Just according to the law, both of you go to jail right now, and the kids go with PCFS. >> Yeah. And she me that's what happens cuz you guys don't know how to act. >> He never stops. It's like and then you guys arrive and it just always like oh >> we're not saying it's just you both of you. >> I've been here for him too. [snorts] >> I've been here for too. We've all been here way too many damn times. >> I get it. You guys are doing your job at the same time. >> Trying to. But it just feels like a lot of times >> I am the one at fault. >> Unfortunately, no. We've been here for >> She's not telling us what happened. >> She says nothing. Nothing happened. >> Well, how did this aart front living room get destroyed? >> How destroyed? Do you mean it shouldn't be? >> There's just toys around. That's it. >> This wasn't like this before when we were here. The the TV's knocked off the wall and there's the toys are all over the place. >> I said I was going to pack the TV. That's why the TV's up the wall. >> How'd you get How'd you How'd your look get injured? >> Although Ashley tried to avoid the truth, the officers were smart enough to read the signs and realized the story ran deeper than what she was willing to admit. But they refused to give up until they understood what had truly happened. >> Well, we're not leaving here till we figure this out. So, why don't you just tell me what happened? Tell us what happened. Tell her what happened. >> I don't know. I don't know what you I don't know what you guys want me to tell you. For real. >> This happened. And how you had blood and you fell >> you fell. Why did you fall? >> I'm clumsy. >> You wonder why the continues? [clears throat] >> Cuz you're saying they're just a >> Well, it's like no offense, but I've already been through Addison's police way before you guys. And that's when I was actually having like real marks and black eyes way before the kids were born. >> So then why do you continue to stay in the situation? It's >> kind of hard. You know, I don't have family. A lot of people, oh, they could go off. They could go here and there. I don't have none of that. What about your dad? It's just one little apartment. He shares already and I already have three kids. >> And it's kind of hard to just up and leave just otherwise and background and everything. Just up and leave and be with Oh, and then I'm trying to finally get her established in school, too. It's a lot of different factors. >> I know. But until you stand up for your kids and get out of your to do that, nothing's going to change. >> Have you spoken? >> Probably. You're right. >> Have you spoken with a social worker? >> I have a little bit before, but never for too long. >> Dupage County has a lot of those people that are willing to help you with job and placement. >> And then recently, how does it look? I just got arrested for a domestic like I beat him, >> right? But they can see the situation that you're in. >> It's a mutual thing, okay? And the ones that are affected are your kids. Not even you and him. It's your kids. Your kids are They're little. They can't fend for themselves. >> I know. >> They need you guys, but not like this. Not like this. But you need to be willing to get help. It's difficult. I know it. It's not easy. And I know that you think that we don't know what the process. I'm a female. I know, okay? I have three kids. It gets tough, but you have to push through it cuz you're the mom and that's all they have. Cuz kids, no offense, can live without a father, but without their mother, >> it's hard. >> Okay. >> While the female officer delivered a harsh reality check to the mother, the situation with the man was no different as officers inside the apartment worked to calm his nerves. >> You're not stopping fast. Stay back. Back up. >> Don't blow your piss up. You want to go to jail, >> my man. We talked, dude. Just chill for me. We've had a conversation. You and I have been cool. Just chill for me. Your babies are here. This ain't worth it. >> You've been drinking. We get it. We're mad. I understand you. Just relax for me. Nobody's in handcuffs. How old are you, brother? >> 40, man. >> 40. Right. We're too old for this now. >> Right. Exactly. You used to, Dude, you used to roll, right? You don't do that no more. You grown. You got the baby's good. We got to worry about your job, man. Your future. Not this. Fair. >> Just call her dad. >> We're trying. We're doing We're trying. We're done. You need a break from her. She needs a break from you. Tomorrow's another day. >> Is there anywhere we could take her? >> You going to take a break for the night? >> Can I like talk to her for two seconds, bro? >> All right. Not right now. >> Just two seconds. >> I'm not saying that's not impossible. Just not the second. >> Just two seconds, bro. >> I understand. Bro, you know what this was about? Over some dead [ __ ] >> I believe you. >> Over old ass conversation about dead. >> Last time we were here was all over some pass [ __ ] I'm too old for this. >> Exactly. You are too old for this. You need a break. >> This is a lot. >> I got I'm not trying to lose this, but that's why I fit this, bro. >> Nobody saying you're losing it. Everybody needs a break. >> Everything. >> But you're on the right path. >> I don't do [ __ ] I don't do [ __ ] bro. No, >> you're a working man now. >> And it sucks. I know. Trust me. But you're doing it. Don't stop from doing it. >> You probably make good money. >> H 27 >> an hour. >> It's pretty good, man. >> Are you a felon? >> That's great for a felon. >> And I'm sure there's room for growth. No. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Don't do anything that's going to jeopardize that. Getting to work at 3:00 a.m. Because you think you lost everything, you have it. If you lose that, you really lost everything. Just bickering. I'm not saying you're not compatible, but when you both drink, you're not compatible. >> How are you guys sober? >> She's different, >> right? >> I could I could drink, bro. That ain't She drinks just like you, bro. >> Do you love her? >> Yeah. >> I've done everything for her, bro. >> Right. So, you love her? >> So, maybe you don't drink, she won't drink. I'm saying you got to get rid of you guys. And if she ain't working, she ain't going to be out buying nothing. You buy everything. You keep it out. >> No problem no more. >> It's booze, dude. [laughter] >> Every time you've been here, we talk. It's always been a booze. Every single time. >> This is hard. >> I don't go to a hotel. >> Where you want to go? >> I don't give a >> I don't give a I'll go. Try to stay with the kids. I can't handle these kids. I'll change that real stress me out. Ask her. I'll you right out. >> All right, let's let's talk about that. That sounds like a good idea. You need a break anyway. You just said it yourself. You need a break from these kids. >> After calming down, the boyfriend decided to go to a hotel. However, after discussing the situation, the officers had a different opinion. The situation had gone far beyond what should have happened, and simply separating the couple would not solve the problem. They needed to make a harsher decision. Do you have anybody that can call you can call to take care of the kids? >> Why the situation that >> this had this is the third call where it has been physical. There's physical injuries on both of you guys. >> Okay. >> No, I haven't even done anything. >> The issue is that if you don't have someone to come take care of the kids, we have to have >> other agencies come and get the kids. visit my father. Then >> can you call him and see if he can come take care of the kids? >> He could come. Yeah. But it's going to be maybe like an hour or so. I don't know what time it is even right now, for example. So, he could come. Yeah. >> Can you call him and ask him how long it'll be for him to get here? >> Probably an hour or so. >> Give me your phone. >> Good morning. >> Now, what about me? Am I facing anything? Cuz I truly am not trying to do anything. >> Because there's injuries on both of you guys. Okay. Okay. So, you guys are both going together >> cuz I'm I'm what? >> Both of you are the arrested >> right now. You're kidding me. >> Wow. >> All times we came here earlier and all times we come here. >> You guys got to figure this out. >> But why am I though? I literally didn't do anything this last time. >> They're they're they're visible marks. So then what? >> So if we have two people with visible marks on them and nobody wants to blow up anything. The way the rule of the law is written is that you both help him. >> Yeah. Why would unfortunately you >> I don't know. You're going to be a mistake if you can't get in contact with him. >> Don't try to guilt her. >> So keep calling. This is your guys's doing, not hers. Okay. So stop. >> Wait. Con. >> Why can't you guys just leave me with the baby? It doesn't make sense. For real. He get violated for doing something to me just now, right? If I'm understanding correct, both of you guys, >> answer it. He's calling. >> Answer it. >> What? >> Who's calling? >> Answer the phone. >> Answer the phone. >> She's not going to answer the phone. Okay, stop. >> Surprisingly, Ashley managed to escalate the situation even further, shouting over a phone call with the very man she was supposed to be separated from. Her state of mind was clearly affected by their relationship. Yet, her childish behavior persisted despite everything that had happened that day. Why would she answer the phone? >> FOR THE PERSON YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH, RIGHT? >> For the love of God, I'm begging you. >> Answer the phone. She's not going to answer. Okay. >> How? >> Why would she answer for him? >> So we can know what's going on. >> Cuz he's the issue right now. You and him are the issue. So she's not going to answer. Okay? So you need to stop. This is your doing, not hers. >> You didn't deserve to be. >> Jesus Christ. >> Hello there. How are you? >> Sorry. Took a lot. >> Yeah, no problem. No problem at all. >> Hey, Ashley, your shoes. >> Your sweater. >> Sorry to bother you. >> That's all right. a little bit. >> I just didn't want to take my You need to change your me page. >> Yeah. >> Victor, can you mark my email? >> 9:00. >> Yay. >> In the end, the couple was arrested on charges of domestic battery. In the next case, a father was outed by his children's 911 call after his aggression escalated to the point where the kids had to call for help, exposing the terror he had brought into their house. >> Police department, let us in. >> We're relaxed. Get back upstairs. What are you doing? [music] >> What's going on? >> Come outside. What's going on? >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. I CAN'T [screaming] >> LAY ON YOUR BACK. >> HOW long be in jail? >> Can I say goodbye to them? I yell at my kids. Yeah. >> On November 4th, 2024, officers Bloom and Brier were dispatched to a residence in Lancaster, Wisconsin, following reports that a father named Shane had become physically aggressive with his children. What started as a welfare check quickly spiraled into a tense standoff inside the family home. >> Police department, let us in. >> We're relaxed. Get back upstairs. What are you doing? >> What's going on? >> Come outside. What's going on? >> No. >> Thank you. >> What is going on? >> Thank you. >> Not the door. >> YOU DON'T HAVE >> YES, WE DO. >> Do not do [laughter] this, guys. Go downstairs. Go downstairs. Go downstairs. >> STOP. STOP. WHAT IS GOING ON? >> YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. [laughter] >> WE DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS IN FRONT OF YOUR KIDS. GO DOWNSTAIRS. SET YOUR DOWN. You don't COME IN HERE ATTACKING ME. >> ALLOWED TO PLACE YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> NO, YOU don't come in here. >> Allow to place your hands behind your back. >> NO, YOU DON'T COME IN HERE. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> NO, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN HERE. HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> PLACE YOUR HANDS behind your back or you will be taken. >> We don't want to do that. Turn around. We need to figure THINGS OUT. >> TURN AROUND. >> TURN AROUND right now. [crying] >> For what? >> Turn around, please. Probable cause. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Probable cause. Please. >> We'll explain. Probable cause. >> We had a report that you WERE BEING TO YOUR DAUGHTER. Turn around. >> Probable cause. >> Just told you. Put your hands behind your back. >> Probable cause. >> Probable cause. >> Turn around and put your hands behind your back right now. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Go. >> You're in MY HOUSE. >> DO NOT >> DO NOT PULL AWAY. >> Turn around. Please be back. Put your hands BEHIND YOUR BACK. WHAT ARE YOU >> [screaming] >> ENOUGH. It's >> not going to happen. >> WHY ARE YOU GUYS BACK? >> NO. GRAB YOUR BACK, DUDE. >> WE DON'T WANT TO DO THIS IN FRONT OF YOUR KIDS, DUDE. >> DO NOT GRAB ME. LET GO OF ME. [screaming] DO NOT GRAB ME. DO NOT GRAB ME. >> You're going to get pepper sprayed, dude. >> You're going to get sprayed. You're fighting me. YOU'RE FIGHTING ME RIGHT NOW. >> YEAH, BECAUSE YOU'RE IN MY HOME. >> WHERE IS YOUR [screaming] WHERE IS your rotation, >> guys? Go downstairs. Go downstairs >> AND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> LAY ON YOUR [screaming] BACK. >> LAY ON YOUR BACK >> RIGHT NOW. LAY ON YOUR BACK. >> LAY ON YOUR STOMACH. >> HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> LAY ON YOUR STOMACH RIGHT NOW. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK RIGHT NOW. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK >> RIGHT NOW. [screaming] >> When officers arrived, Shane exploded, yelling about probable cause and refusing to comply. The standoff turned violent fast and within seconds, a taser crackled through the chaos, dropping him to the floor. Christ, >> what did I do? >> We're going to stay on the floor until we get another person here. >> Hey guys, take a breath. Take a breath. Can we go downstairs? >> My sister's here. She can take care of us. >> Okay. What's your sister's name? >> How old? >> I don't know. >> You don't know how old I is? >> I don't know. >> Okay, we'll figure it out. >> Can I ask what? I want to back up be in jail. >> We'll figure things out, guys. >> No, we're not going to figure things out. What if I've been arrested for it? >> Stay there. >> I'm the older sister. >> Are you okay? >> Yes. I I My mom says she's on the way home. Um I really don't know what's going on. I was just told I need to come here. >> Okay. You said that they were getting abused. >> Uh that's what I was told. I don't know the length or the full length of this. >> Okay. What were you told about them getting? Um, my sister messaged me. She said, "I need help. I need help. Things are getting scared. I'm scared." I said, "What's going on?" She goes, "I think Shane's been drinking and things are getting," but she said she'll explain later. She didn't. >> Are you the little sister that told her to call 911? >> Yes. >> It's okay. Here. >> What was the even What? Like, why won't anybody tell me what the problem was to begin with? >> Look at me, please. >> A hip, [clears throat] >> man. Please >> look at me. Manto man, tell me what the what the No, you didn't tell me. >> Will you at least tell me like what I said or what I did? >> Please. That's all I'm asking. >> I'm not investing. >> No, please just tell me what I said or what I did. >> Officers at this case. Okay. >> As the turmoil upstairs spilled over, police led Shane's frightened children downstairs. Outside, officers began piecing together the truth and what his eldest stepdaughter revealed next would turn this entire case upside down. >> So, what happened? >> Okay, so our stepdad has like >> That's him. >> Yeah, that's our stepdad. So, he has like I don't know, mental issues and stuff, but uh he's not supposed to have liquor at all or like booze or anything cuz it makes him really mean. And I started noticing something like he would start getting mean with the kids and I can hear outside my door. He kept slapping over and over again and was the youngest and he was like, "Ow, daddy. Ow." And then he just has to do this really go poop and you can hear him like, >> "Can you nine that you're 101?" >> But he just kept like grabbing him and like I peaked out even. He just kept like squeezing him and throwing him like all over in the bathroom. And I was like, "This is not good." And then I went out and grabbed my little sister cuz I heard her crying too. And >> I was asking why she was crying. She's like, "I don't know. Daddy threw stuff at me for no reason." And then so I picked her up and I went in my room and he comes barging in. He's like, "Why the Sorry. Excuse my language." >> No, you don't even feel bad about that. You can swear around me all that you need to. Okay. >> But um and then we get into my room and he comes barging in. He was like, "Come with me right now." And I'm like, "Why does she need to do that? You're hurting them." And she was like, "I don't care. You're not the boss of them." And then he takes her and he sucks my shin. He's like she's the boss to me. I'm going to hurt her mom and um her when whatever they get home and stuff and I was like this is not good. And this has happened before and like in a couple years. >> Yep. We're good. Thanks. >> Couple years ago. And um my stepdad actually got a my mom. >> Yeah. >> But that's what he said and I was scared and I'm like I don't want my mom coming home and everything and just like >> Where's your mom right now? >> Uh she's at work. She works a second. >> You are very brave. Okay. You are extremely brave and I am proud. You don't know me, but I am very freaking proud of you for doing that. >> I'm sorry. I didn't know if it was snowing or not. >> Oh, no. It's raining. It's just raining. I [music] am so proud of you for doing that. Not only for your safety, but your siblings safety. Okay. >> The suspect's daughter told officers that Shane, who wasn't supposed to drink, had been heavily intoxicated that night. His temper exploded, slapping a young child and tossing him around the bathroom. Back inside the house, Shane tried to spin the story, but the truth was already coming into focus. >> Let me explain it to you. I don't want to be interrupted. All right, we got a call. >> What did I do? >> That you were being physically de it's one of your daughters. We get here in the door, we open it, we announce police department and you come down and you get very verbally aggressive with us. Then when we ask you to step outside, you started posturing up against us. Okay. So that's why we took the measures we did. All right. I didn't understand why there were people coming at my door attacking me. That's why you attacked back. Like, come on, guys. Like, if somebody came to your door and you weren't sure what the hell they were trying to do, you would just be like, "Okay, guys." Yeah. You wouldn't fight back. Look at me, guys. Like, seriously, >> you give me your saving out. >> No, sir. Like, I was asking you and you had your eyes down. I'm like, "I'm asking you to look at me like a man." Like what the would you do if you didn't understand exactly what the hell was going on? >> Well, that's what we were trying to do. We were trying to explain what the hell was going on. >> And we wanted to talk to you outside, not in front of your kids, >> but then you started yelling at us. Okay. And that made things worse. >> That's >> all right. So, when we wanted to talk outside, that was an option you had. >> I'm not saying that's right, but guys, come on. Like, you know how to deescalate situations. You know how to not escalate situations. >> All right. Come on, guys. Come on. >> What did you say your name was? Shane, >> did I hear that right? >> You know how to deescalate situations. This is not a way to deescalate situations with somebody that may or may not be me mentally impaired. Like, guys, you have you been drinking tonight? >> Listen to me, please. Please. I'm not a stupid ignorant hick like >> Well, like I explained, we came in, we announced police department. >> Take me. Okay. Outside. >> You got their shoes. Grab you. >> I say we >> It doesn't matter, man. >> No, we don't want them. It's wet outside here. >> Where are your shoes at? I'll grab them for you. >> It doesn't matter, man. >> Can I say goodbye to them? Walk to the back of the ambulance, sir. >> The suspect claimed he didn't understand why they had entered his home, but when officers pressed him about his drinking, the truth started to surface. >> So, now I want to discuss with you what what happened today. Like, what I want to hear your side of things. All right. Well, apparently I'm just a >> No, I I I want to hear from your point of view. What happened today? I I want to hear that. What did you see today? What did Shane see today? What' you do this morning? How How'd you start today? Did you go to work today or were you off today? >> Man, I'm out of work. >> You're out of work. Okay. So, what what did you do today then? >> Nothing really. >> Nothing really. Just around the house. Were the kids home all day or did they have school? >> I went to school. I dropped my kids off at school at 7:00 this morning. >> Dropped them off. >> Went home, hung out with uh my wife and >> Okay. >> My wife went to work. I went and picked up the kids from school. We went home. >> Okay. Well, there's a little bit of time space between when they get off of [music] school and when we got called to your house. So, did you have dinner with them? >> We uh we were going to make some pizzas. >> You were going to make some pizzas. Did that ever happen that you remember? You don't think so? >> No, cuz >> Okay. >> This stuff's been going on for [music] what? >> Probably 7:30 or so. >> Last few hours. >> Okay. So, we we have talked about alcohol before. When did you start drinking today? >> I don't know. >> After you picked up the kids from school. >> Yeah, it was after I picked up the kids from school. >> So, if you had to estimate 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, >> I don't know, man. Maybe [music] 4:30. >> 4:30 or so. What were you >> I got back from uh picking up about 4:00 and then >> picked up about 4:00. Okay. >> I think it was No, it was like 3:30. I'm sorry. >> 3:30 3:35 somewhere in there. Okay. >> Pick up, came home. Um, I already bought the alcohol. >> Sure. >> I had it sitting at home and then I just I don't know, man. I just >> started having a couple drinks and hanging out with the kids and >> I don't know like man like I don't know what the I >> Well, we're going to get we're going to get there, but what were you drinking? >> This is just me being curious. Um >> like liquor, beer, >> like uh malt liquor. >> Like liquor. Okay. >> Malt liquor. >> Do you usually drink that? Like like is that usually like your drink of choice or >> man? I haven't drank in a while. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> It was the first time in a while. >> Shane confessed to drinking shortly. By the time officers tested him, his blood alcohol content hit 0.167%, more than double the legal limit, a chilling signal of just how dangerous the afternoon had become. And then while we were in the hospital >> few weeks anyway. >> Sure. Sure. And then while we were in the hospital you had mentioned something about addiction like dealing with people with addiction. What I guess what was that about? >> That's me. >> That's you. >> That's me. >> Okay. I guess where does that come from? Like what I guess what are you referring to? I've been trying to get myself straight for a long time and I haven't been able to >> I guess straight from >> like so >> sure >> you should say >> sure >> um >> I know there's resources out there there's people to talk to I know like >> it's beyond that man like I one of my kids >> well that's what we're going to talk about next so maybe was at the hospital with you, right? So, there were some marks under and that's what I want to talk to you about. All right. Do you remember hurting? Did you Did he make you mad tonight? >> You don't remember ever? >> Man, put me away. That's enough. I I don't want to hear anymore. Put me away. >> You don't want to talk anymore? >> No, it's not that. Like, put me away. If I one of my kids, put me away. Put me down. I I don't have to I don't have to keep asking you questions. That was to be honest. We talked about the majority of the things I wanted to talk to you about. Okay. >> No, man. If I did if I [clears throat] put me away, >> do you I guess have you do you ever get aggressive when you drink? Is that something that like you know of or you're aware of? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, you get aggressive when you drink. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Has it always been like that or is that a recent thing? >> No, for the most part, yeah. Is he okay? >> He He's He has some injuries. He has some marks, but he's with his mom now. >> During questioning, Shane teetered between guilt and defiance. He admitted battling addiction, but chillingly said, "If I hurt one of my kids, put me away." Memory lapses aside, the evidence was clear. >> I yell at my kids. Yeah. And I sometimes I yell, but I don't hit them. >> I get mad at them sometimes. >> What is it about? Like in general? >> Not listening. >> Just not listening. >> Just like normal, man. >> How How old are they like under 10? >> Even uh >> Okay, so they're pretty young. >> I guess that brings another question. Do you like when you drink, do you ever drink and forget drinking? Like is that >> No, [clears throat] no, no. Like that's why I'm like really confused. I don't know if I yelled at the kids tonight. [snorts] >> Is there something? >> Scared the [ __ ] out of them. >> Sure. And [clears throat] then they call or man. >> Well, I hear what you're saying, but >> I don't like I don't know what the happened tonight. Like that's what I'm saying. Like I >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> I I hear >> I remember going home, getting the kids settled, drinking my stuff. the the uh um sky started getting dark. >> And then like you guys showing up, >> okay, >> unless I have severe time lapse, like missing like chunks of time, I would actually like to see where these bruises are on him. >> Well, I'm going to tell you now that's not going to happen tonight. I'm I'm going to be as up I tried to be as upfront with you as possible with everything. That's not going to happen tonight. >> I get it. But what I'm saying is like it >> everything >> I'm interested in where the bruises are. >> Everything is well documented. Phone has been taken. >> In the end, Shane was found guilty of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and battery on law enforcement. His children's quick thinking kept them safe while he received three years probation and over $1,800 in [music] fines. Moving on to the next case where a 12-year-old boy called for help after his troubled family pushed him past his limits. >> At first, he shot me in the back of my head and I said, "You don't have no reason to." >> Then you can see the the black marks on it where he used [music] >> cuz I said he ain't have no reason to hit me. He said, "I got every right to you." And then that's when he picked me up [music] and did that and walked me to the other. >> Okay. Did you happen to uh put your hands this young man? [music] >> I did. >> You did? And may I ask you why would you do that? >> Because I'm tired of being talked back to. Yes, ma'am. >> I'm tired of him telling me that he ain't got to do a damn [music] thing I'll say. >> Okay. >> You not going to no defense. >> Y all going. It's just fault. It's all four of y'all. >> On February 25th, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence after receiving a call from a young boy who reported being assaulted by his family. Upon arrival, an officer approached the boy who bore clear marks of the distressing events that had unfolded earlier that day. >> Come to me, please. >> Keep that dog on the porch. I don't know what the deal is with that dog. >> Make sure the food don't get in it. Put the dogs in the house. He's at >> he's the problem. >> No, he ain't the problem. They are the problem. >> Okay. Well, hold up. Slow down. I want to talk to the kids first. All right. They made a phone call. Who made the call to the sheriff's office? >> Man right there. Start off. >> All right. How about do me a solid? I'm going to talk with them. Then I'm going to talk with you. Then I'm going to put it all together. Fair enough. All right. And who's the parents of the young? >> They're not here. >> They're not here. >> No, they laugh and leave. Go back two or three or four days at a time. >> All right. Who called you? >> You did. >> Come here. >> I heard this one here. >> But he called them, >> right? You came here. >> But she taught you. >> Come on. Y'all two come here. And what are you? You're like y'all >> brothers and sisters. >> Okay. You know what happened? Okay, I'm gonna give it y'all together. Okay, so do me a solid. Huh? >> I don't know. >> Okay, you don't have anything to do with this. You go off to the side. What happened? >> So, um, me and >> Tell the truth, too. Okay. >> Yeah. Do >> me and my grandma. >> Look at me when you talk. >> Me and my grandma, we was in a we was in an argument. It started out like this. >> Boy, grandma, that lady right there. Okay. >> I was sitting on the couch singing a song she didn't like. >> She was like, "Stop." Cuz she was just cussing at me and stuff. Okay. >> So, I was just ignoring her singing my little song. Yeah. >> And then she going to get up and say, "If you don't stop, I'm going to push you off the couch." I said, "No, you ain't. You're not going to touch me." >> Okay. >> And she comes over there and she tries and I said, "Stop. Don't do that." >> Okay. >> But I didn't fall off the couch. And then she um sticks her fingers in my um skin right here. >> Okay. >> I try to like get her off of me, but it didn't work. And then she puts me against the um wall by the our couch in there. Right there at that corner. >> Yes, sir. >> She starts slapping me in my face. >> Okay. >> And then she made me accidentally my papa. But nothing needs to fall on my papa. Okay. four strokes. Okay. >> He don't know what's going on. >> Okay. >> And then, you know, it triggered something in his old mind. >> Okay. >> And he started, but I don't want to let make nothing fall on him. >> Okay. All right. >> After that, another argument started, forgot what it was about. And then my uncle came in >> and um at first he slapped me in the back of my head and I said, "You don't have no reason." >> And then you can see the the black marks on it where he used to >> Okay. >> He um and picked me up and walked me to the other side of the kitchen. >> Okay. >> Cuz I said he ain't have no reason. He said, "I got every right to hit you." And then that's when he picked me up and did that and walked me to the other. >> Okay. Marks on your face, anything like that? >> No, but she has on all them rings on her fingers. >> Okay. She was hitting you or she was slapping. >> She was slapping. >> Okay. Did it hurt anything? No. >> It hurt a little bit at the crying. >> All right. The 12-year-old boy, Cain, bore marks on his body that made it clear this was not a fabricated story. The injuries on his neck and arms were enough for the officer to understand that this went far beyond a simple attempt by the family to teach him a lesson for bad behavior. The officer then turned to the other family members who had witnessed what happened, hoping to piece together the full situation. >> You heard what he said, right? Did you know maybe what happened? >> I didn't hear part, but I do know because he was in a wall and all the things I saw was when he had uncle had walked in the kitchen. Um, I heard him say, "You don't have to." Well, that was all. He said, "You didn't have to slap me in my head like that." >> Who Who said that? >> K. >> Okay. >> And then that's when my uncle came in there. He said, "I got all rights to get you." Something like that. He came up by his neck and started walking with him and his face like turned red. >> Okay. Then, so you saw the uncle grab him by the neck and start walking away. >> Then I saw push him against the couch. >> Okay. And then yesterday she had see him she was punching him in the face and she put his head through the window. >> Okay. Yesterday. But today um >> today they both was off the beat. >> Okay. You saw mama slapping it? >> Yeah. I seen him go on >> and you saw him grab him around the neck. >> Yeah. >> You say picked him up and start walking with you. >> Yeah. >> Walking with him where? >> Cuz it's the kitchen and the dining room together and he started walking with him. >> Okay. Did you say anything to him or what did you mean? >> I was shocked. >> You just stayed back and said kept quiet. >> Yes. He said he wanted to talk. >> Okay. Is this your brother? >> Mhm. >> Okay. What is this? >> That's my sister. >> That's your sister. So you >> Mhm. Hey. All right. Tell me your story. >> I was in my room and then I looked out like out the hallway and I saw my sister like doing a shot face >> and then I like walked out and I and then my uncle like came in his hands. >> In his hands where around the neck doing what? >> Like nothing. >> Okay. Okay. All right. You seeing anything else what grandma was doing? You didn't see anything? You just >> Okay. All right. You know what the argument was about? >> She had asked him to clean up the house and we was doing something. >> Okay. >> Hey, look at the trick. >> All right. Talk to me. >> We were doing somebody moment. So, I kind of ignore her. >> Okay. >> And then I guess he was in the living room. >> Okay. >> And she started talking. >> Did anybody else get their hands put on? Just him? >> No. >> Okay. >> My brother told me if I kept on talking, he was going to slap me, too. >> Who said that? >> No. >> He said if you kept on talking, he was going to slap me, too. Okay. Uh, did you say anything to him to, you know, stop? Get your hands off my brother or >> Yeah. I was like, Bubba, why would you do that? >> Uhhuh. >> And then with Bubba. >> No. >> Okay. That's what he called him. >> Mhm. >> And then he said if you don't shut up, I would do it to you, too. >> But he said stop, too. >> Okay. >> And I said, and I walked away. I was like, ain't going to touch me. >> All right. You read and write? >> You do. You went. How far in school you gone? You still in school? >> Is it school today? >> School today. >> Why you not in school? They refuse to go to school. >> Why you not in school? >> Mr. B. >> Mr. B. >> Okay. All right. Where's your mom and dad at? >> All right. >> With those accounts in mind, the officers went to speak with the grandmother, Patricia. But her version of events proved truly shocking as she believed there were excuses for what had happened to Kane. >> Ma'am. All right. I'm talking with the kids. What's your story? >> What's my story? I'm tired of being talked to and treated like I I don't matter. All right. >> And I'm dirty. Okay. >> They tell me I got to get out to take my house. >> Right. Let me stop you right there cuz this is a criminal matter right now. I'm going to explain your rights to you. Okay. You got the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in the court of law. So, you still want to talk to me and tell me your side. I'm going ask you a question. First question is, what's your name? >> Patricia Frasier. >> Frasier. >> Frasier. >> And this is my ex-husband. He lives here. >> Okay, cool. So, uh >> I've been here a year with him, taking care of him. He's had four strokes. >> Okay. These youngans are out of control. >> On today's date, this date, this time, did you happen to uh put your hand, slap this young man? >> I did. >> You did? And may I ask you why would you do that? >> Because I'm tired of being talked back to. Yes, ma'am. >> I'm tired of him telling me that he ain't got to do a damn thing. I'll say >> Okay. Okay. Where's the parents at? >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> Becky's got her income taxes and they gone just like they do every year. They won't be back in the picture until the money's gone. >> Yes. And in the meantime, we got the youngans. >> Yes, ma'am. >> They won't listen. They won't go to school. They won't do nothing. This is the fourth time the police have been out here. >> Yes, ma'am. Thank you for your cander. I appreciate your honesty. Okay. >> I'm not going to stand up and let my 11-year-old grandson stand up and tell me that I cannot take and tell him what to do and him tell me that he don't have to listen to a damn thing I say. >> The uncle behind the house, what does he tell you? >> He's my son. >> That's your son? >> That's my son. And these are my grandkids. >> All right. Anybody else in the house? >> No. >> Everybody's out here. Everybody's out here except for my son. He's up under the truck. My son has heard me ask these junk for 45 minutes this morning. Okay. >> All I asked them to do was to get up and help clean up. We all done it together. It wouldn't take 15 minutes. Yes, ma'am. >> They look at me and tell me we ain't doing the damn thing. >> Okay. >> You can't make us do [ __ ] >> Is what they tell me. Let's not forget the fwords. Yesterday we got into it hot and I left walking. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I didn't come back till this morning. >> Okay. >> Because they look at me, they tell me I have no rights here. I don't live here. I live in the camper. I'm here to take care of him. That's what I come here for a year ago. He asked me to come here and take care of him. >> Okay. >> Why should I have to take and listen to disrespectful kids that won't get up and go to school, won't do nothing you ask them. All they [music] interested in doing is making messes. >> Yes, ma'am. >> They won't clean up behind their stuff. They won't pick up behind the stuff. They just take food out of cabinet, open it up, and leave it. >> Okay. >> I am not their maid. >> Yes, ma'am. >> If they want to live here, they need to participate in this family. If not, they got to go. >> All right. Fair enough. Thank you, ma'am. Patricia carried herself as if she owned the scene and the officer was stepping into her territory, believing that [music] she had enough authority to do what she did. The officer then turned to the uncle Steven, the other accused in this story [music] to hear his version of events, but his side would just add more fuel to the situation. >> Can I talk to you now, sir? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Thank you. You want to talk to me? Give me your side of the story. >> Yes, sir. Sure. Do >> all right. So, my question first, the young man called said that you grabbed him around the neck, picked him up. My question, why? I working on my truck. >> Yes, sir. >> My mama's in there trying to get them to help clean up. >> Yes, sir. >> None of them want to do anything. >> Okay. >> She's talking to the little ones that just came. >> Yes, sir. >> Askes him to help clean up. He's standing up straight up cussing her out, >> calling her and everything. And I can hear him from out here. >> That's mama. That's your mama? >> Yes, sir. That's their grandma? >> Yes, sir. >> When I heard that, they kind of got me a little bit. I walked in the house. He was in her face yelling. >> Okay. Where were you at? You was outside? I was outside working. >> So you can hear commotion in the house? >> All the way in the house. Yes, sir. I walked inside. He was in her face yelling. >> So I come up from behind him. I grabbed him and I moved him. I didn't him or anything like that. I just moved him out of her face. I grabbed him like that by the neck. Just moved him. >> I didn't squeeze real hard. I mean, I got grease on my hand and stuff like that. So I on his neck. Other than that, that's all it was. I didn't >> put verbal or anything like that. He was in there cussing at my mom and I done had enough. And this is a everyday thing. It started this morning at 6:00 >> when they was supposed to go to school. >> Okay. >> I'm sitting there waiting for them to get on the bus. They all acted like they they was going to the bus. >> Mhm. >> Well, I thought they was on the bus. I come out here a little while later going my sister's camper and they all in the bed sleeping there. Okay. >> At 6:5. What are y'all doing? Y'all supposed to be in school. That's when all this started. >> Gotcha. >> And they've been in a uproar ever since. >> Okay. Step over here. See that girl right there with the white shirt on? Yes, sir. >> You see the girl with the uh purple shorts on? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Question. And you had the young man there by the neck. Girls here stated that uh why would you want to do that? Did you tell her and this is a question if you don't shut up uh you going to get the same thing? >> No, I did not. >> All right. Did you have any communication with her? >> Did you say it? >> I I told them all. >> Okay. >> That they here for a reason because their mama's out doing her own thing, which >> I got you. >> Is typical of my sister. She comes over here, drops them off, and just hauls for weeks at a time. Don't bring them no food, no groceries, nothing. and they expect us to support her. >> Uhhuh. >> She was sitting there running her mouth to me after I done grabbed Kane. >> Uhhuh. >> And I told her about her mom. I said, "If your mama wanted y'all, y'all would be with her. Y'all wouldn't be here." That's the only thing I said. >> I got you. You have any any questions for us or whatever? >> No. I mean, usually I don't have no problem out of it. You know, they look up to me. They love me to they yelling at her their grandmother. I mean, >> I can't put up with that. I mean, I didn't want to grab him by the neck, but I just it was rage, you know, and he was in there yelling at my mom. I just grabbed him and just moved him out the way. I did not him or anything like that. >> But there too, again, you say you grabbed him around the neck. >> I grabbed him with two hands around your neck >> and you moved and moved him out of her face. Yes, sir. >> Okay, fair enough. Thank you for your kinder. Me and Lieutenant going to have a talk and we may have some further questions. Fair enough. All right, cool. >> Steven's account of events was marked by a defensive tone, though he was honest with the officer about what had happened that day. The case was also influenced by the absence of parental guidance as they should have been the ones protecting and educating the children. Once he finished speaking, Patricia chose to add her side, convinced that her explanation would justify her actions and make the officer understand her perspective. >> You have a question or something you want to talk say? >> Yeah, I got a question. >> Okay. >> My husband has got a court date on the 27th about these young not going to school. >> Yes, ma'am. >> He's had four strokes. He's not able to appear in court and talk on his behalf because he can't talk plain. >> Yes, ma'am. I left here yesterday because of the same mess. >> They want to tell me what I can do, what I can't do. Tell me I don't live here and all this that and the other. Get in my face and threaten me. Well, today I've had enough of it. Okay. >> They don't want to listen. They don't want to go to school. I mean, and Stephen's heard me. I've asked him over and over and over 45 minutes. Stephen heard me ask them, "Please get up. Help me clean up. It won't take us long, right? >> They want to be smart mouths. They want to cuss. They want to do this. They want to do that. But they don't want to do what you ask them to do. I want to tear stuff up. >> Right. And you say today you just had enough. >> I had enough. Yesterday I left walking. I walked from here all the way up past that white house up here on the left hand side of the road. >> Yes, ma'am. >> And somebody picked me up and I was sitting on side road. I was just a crime. Okay. >> Because they told me I don't live here. I have no right to tell them what to do or anything else. >> Okay. >> It don't matter whether I've got any rights. I am their grandmother by blood. >> Okay. What other adults stay here besides you? Y'all three? >> And him and my husband. >> Just y'all three. Yeah, because my daughter's in and out. She she brings them in, drops them off and wakes us up in the middle of the night, tells us make sure they get up and go to school. >> Okay. What's the daughter's name? >> Lady Rebecca Salva. >> And these are her children. >> These all four of them are her >> contact information. >> I don't have any on them. Okay. >> Because she's in and out. She does what she wants to when she wants to, and ain't nobody supposed to say nothing about it. >> Okay. But thank you, ma'am. Me and Lieutenant going to talk. Okay. Thank you. Uhhuh. >> Despite their explanations, the officers knew that no matter the boy's behavior, nothing could justify the marks on his body. This realization heightened their concern for the safety of all the children involved. >> The end goal here, folks, is uh we want to listen to the whole story. Okay. We don't want you to be lying to the police. Want you to us to tell the truth, right? Told me the truth, right? Are you lying? >> Yes, sir. >> Telling me the truth, right? Okay. And you was in the bedroom and you didn't see nothing till you come out. It was like it was over with, right? Okay. And all you was doing just whistling. What you whistling? What? What's the tune? >> It's just like a rap song. >> A rap song. It's not. It's just like no words. It's like it's gooey gooey thing. >> Okay. Okay. But you just whistling. She didn't like it. She told you to stop it. You said just whistling, right? You kept whistling. >> No, I wasn't whistling. I was physically singing. >> You was physically singing it. Okay. She said stop, but you did. You stop right away or did you say no or what? What did you >> I was like I'm not bothering nobody. >> Okay. Okay. And then >> looking at TV her sitting in the chair. She gets up and walk towards you. Yes, sir. >> And then you say she grabbed your arm >> first. She tried to push me off the couch. >> She tried to push you off the couch. >> Yeah, cuz I was sitting on the on the couch >> and she said, "If you don't stop, I'm going to push you off the couch." And I said, "No, you ain't. I'm doing nothing wrong to you." >> Okay. And then she slapped you. >> Yes. >> How many times? >> Cuz she tried to she did her nails and my skin. >> So, and then that's when I was like I said, "Stop. Get off me." And then she said, "I'mma get off of you." All right. >> Mhm. And then that's when I try to like push away from her and like that's when she pushed me up against the wall in my face. >> How many times did you hit you? >> Maybe like three times, maybe four. >> That's it, right? Telling me the truth, sir. >> Honestly, all told you to make up this stuff or you telling me the facts? >> Okay. All right. Cool. >> After gathering everyone's accounts, the officers reached their decision. Despite acting as if they were in control, what Patricia and Steven had done was far [music] from acceptable. physically harming Kane and pushing him to the point of calling the police. Now, mother and son would have to face the harsh reality of their actions whether they agreed with it or not. >> All right, guys. After hearing the totality of some circumstances and reading Miranda to you, you under arrest and you under arrest. Okay? You have the right somebody got to be here. Somebody's got to be here. >> We we got we got defects or child protective service coming out here and we going to hang tight until they get out here cuz they going to want to talk with you guys. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, that's where we at with the red now. I want you to clearly understand. I appreciate your cander and your honesty. We're not the boogeyman, but this is just the nature of the beast. Okay, so that's where we at with it right now. I would advise you just to exercise your rights that I gave to you. Don't say anything else to us. If you do, cameras on, anything you say will and be used against the court of law. You have any questions, exercise your rights. Turn around, put your hand behind your back. >> If you know the mother's number or >> I don't have any way of getting in touch with her. >> Okay. They taking this boat. >> I'm not doing enough defense. >> Y all going. IT'S JUST FAULT. IT'S ALL FOUR OF Y'ALL. You going to stay in school. You can't STAY IN SCHOOL FOR FIGHT. >> It's on your step. But me and brother going to jail for us. >> The reason they're going to jail. >> IT'S BECAUSE YOU GOING TO JAIL. SO THEY TOUCHED YOU. >> Thank Thank you, young man. He grabbed you around your neck. >> Okay. Um, and and it's not your fault. You didn't >> He didn't do anything wrong. None of y'all did. Okay. >> In the end, Patricia was charged with firstdegree endangerment, battery, and two counts of thirdderee endangerment. That case was deeply troubling. But the next one goes even further when a disgusting mother was reported to the police for planning to draw her own daughter into the most unimaginable acts. >> Like, he was trying to buy like me underwear and stuff, so he's asking my mother for like my sizes. I mean, she's asked me to take like [music] like pictures of her and stuff. >> On December 26th, 2022, officers were dispatched to a residence following reports that a mother was planning to involve her 15-year-old daughter. In adult activities with her boyfriend upon arrival, officers approached the victim, who revealed the disturbing details of what had been happening. >> Does she need me here? I pardon her. >> Does she need me here? >> Well, you say there's no adults in the home with you, right? >> Okay. So, let me ask you this. uh prior to seeing you knowing that you're still under the age of 18. The person really >> She's not going to be home till like late late at night. >> Okay, let me try calling you morning. Okay, maybe >> I can just text her. That's what I was going to do. >> That's okay. Only a second. Yeah, the reception is not good. My boss is asking if if it'll be okay for us to interview the child without Okay. Yes, we can do officiency. That's fine. We can do >> purposes. Absolutely. >> My name is definitely not. Thank you so much for correcting me. U my name is Barbara. I work with the Florida Department of Children and Families and Officer Vasquez is here visit our home. My job is to speak with the children and the family. Is not home. So with officer's presence, so as well enter the home, I can ask you questions. >> He has a boyfriend and I was going to go spend the night over there. She wanted me to. >> Over there where? >> Um to his house. Like >> do you normally go spend night at his house? >> No. No. No. That was I saw text messages between her and him. >> So you've seen his messages >> their messages. >> You've you've seen their messages >> like do stuff cuz she's not good with like technology and stuff. >> Okay. And like I guess sometimes when I just have it like I like how curious because she tells me a lot of times that like he said this and that about me and so and I've seen like like I looked over her shoulder sometimes and seen like him say weird things too. >> The report was made by the victim's older sister after she discovered messages exchanged between the couple. According to those messages, the man expressed interest in [music] buying the teenager new underwear and spending time with her to turn her into a woman. a clear sign of the couple's disturbed and rotten minds. >> How do you know that they're specifically talking about you and not talking about another? >> Well, cuz they use my name. >> So, what did they say? Give me like a sentence about the vaginal private part and your name was mentioned. What did that message stay? >> Has this boyfriend ever always been in the picture or how recent? >> Like 3 years, I think, or someone. >> So, they've been together for about 3 years. Approximately 3 years. >> Yeah, that's what she told me. She told me they've been together for like 3 years now. Has he ever come to the apartment? >> Not here, but he has come to our apartment that we used to live in. How to say like suggestive or like the windows. I guess I have like double meanings. >> Be more specific. >> Um I said like a lot of weird things and like ask me like just a lot of weird questions >> like or like >> Yeah. or like um like [music] like he was trying to buy like me underwear and stuff. So he's asking my mother for like my sizes. >> So have you ever been to his house before? >> No. >> Not to during the day? >> No. No. >> Um I don't know specifically cuz before she was doing substituting but she just like became [music] a teacher and like getting the teacher um like salary now. >> Any history of substance misuse drugs and alcohol in your home? Yeah. [music] Alcohol. No. No. >> No. >> I mean, she's asked me to take like like pictures of her and stuff, but she's never like >> What do you mean by that? >> Well, like sometimes she asked me to take like pictures of her like like and she'll be in like lingerie or something. >> Mom is a model. >> No. >> Okay. So, when she take pictures, she just dress and ask you to take pictures? >> Yeah. >> You you take you make websites? Well, I Yeah. Well, I was trying. Yeah. But I haven't I haven't made it yet because >> Is it a gift of yours where you >> just told me to do it? >> Can you do it? >> Yeah. >> Very smart of you. >> Okay. All right. >> After hearing the girl's account, officers moved to arrest the mother, 50-year-old Evelyn. The messages detailing what was planned for the girl revealed a deeply disturbing level of specificity, enough to unsettle anyone and show just how far the situation had escalated. At that point, there was no turning back for Evelyn and she would have to face the harsh consequences of her actions. >> We'll take care of your car. Let me get you in handcuffs first and we'll work on that. I got other people coming. Okay. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I'll take care of all that for you. Let me get you situated first. We're going to slow down a little bit. Okay. >> Where's your daughter at right now? >> Oh, she's she's in DC. >> Okay. So, they did take her? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Just lean up against your car. I got to wait for another partner to get here and we'll take care of getting your car parked so we don't need to tow your car. Okay. >> I'm a good person. I'm not doing anything. >> I'm not saying you are. That's not my job. Okay. My job is detective says you're under arrest. I need to go find you. Okay. >> Okay. I was going to surrender either way. >> Let's see what All right. We don't need to do that. That's fine. Just lean up against your car. >> Will I lose everything? >> No, I don't know. Just turn around. >> Okay. >> Lean up against your car. >> No, I have my concealed gun in here. >> It's in your car. Okay. Do you want us to secure that in your house for you? >> Um, as long as my dog is there. >> Okay. >> Y I'll comply. >> I'm not here to >> 483. What's going to start slowing things down a little bit. We'll get your >> We'll get your car situated >> and then we'll go from there. All I'm concerned with is taking you to jail. Okay. >> My safety >> everything's safe, so we're good. Evelyn's behavior was deeply unsettling as she acted as though the situation were insignificant. She claimed she had planned to lure her boyfriend to prove that he harbored disturbing attractions toward young girls. However, officers were aware that she had instructed her daughter to go to his house on Christmas Day. Despite her attempts to justify her actions, there was no excuse for what had occurred. We arrested him. >> Do you have a uh you know you can't carry your weapon like that, right? You cannot carry a firearm like that. Has to be in a in a closed case. >> No, I have a weapons permit. >> You do have a permit. Okay, even better then. And you're all set. >> Yeah, I'm I'm safe. >> Okay. >> Anything else that needs to go in there? >> No, I need my attorney's card. >> It's in here. >> Yeah. Get in there. You see you see that the little um card there? >> This here, >> right? Yeah. This >> All right. So, we already established your phone's going to go with you, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Nope. Purse is going to go in your house. >> Just need it. >> No. Uh all I all I talked to Mooney this morning and all he said is just 15. >> They don't need to talk. Okay. >> So, >> yep. >> Okay. So, he's going to escort me up here >> and I'll put you in my car. Thanks. >> Okay. Certainly. >> Yeah. Thank you for your help. >> Sure. >> In the end, Evelyn was charged with soliciting a child for unlawful adult conduct using a computer, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and sharing [music] unconented information. The judge set her bond at $28,000 and prohibited both her and her boyfriend from having any contact with the victim or using any device capable of sending text messages. In the next case, a mother truly believed she could get away with her disturbing [music] acts, only to be exposed by her daughter's 911 call, reporting a level of aggression that would have tragically consequences. >> I think I hear him screaming upstairs, but I can't tell. >> Not here. >> Lady, don't play the game. You do this. >> Don't do this. On May 11th, 2024, the Tampa Police Department received a shocking 911 call from 18-year-old Natavia Sanders, a young girl who had been subjected to horrific torment by her own mother. >> Tampa Police 911. What is the address of the emergency? [clears throat] I'm just trying to >> Okay. Do you have any unit letter or number? >> Okay. And what's going on? >> I'm just showing you. >> I just woke up from >> Okay. I'm sorry. What happened? >> I was strangled. >> Okay. By who? >> I'm sorry. By who? >> Is she still there? >> How long ago did this happen? This happened like It's like 84 minutes ago. I just woke up. >> Okay. Where is your mother now? >> She lost her. >> An officer was dispatched immediately after the 911 call, but nothing could have prepared him for what he was about to uncover. >> I know you're in the home. Just come to the door. Three, five, Did you guys attempt to call back? Cuz now the lights are out. >> I think I hear him screaming upstairs, but I can't tell. What's up, brother? >> Upstairs. >> Was it out? And then I couldn't tell if it was screaming upstairs or where it was. Look, the couches are up on the on the wall. You see this? Like up here. See this? Yeah. Almost like they're not maritude, but you heard screaming. You >> just hear a scream for help or something. >> Police department. >> Tampa, please come downstairs. The moment officers heard the screams, there was no time to waste. They had to get inside by any means necessary. But just as they prepared to force entry, the front door swung open. >> Tampa Police Department. >> Good morning. >> He's all in the home. >> Everybody. >> Okay. You come outside real quick, please. >> For what? >> We got a call for service here. >> Not here. >> Lady, don't play the game. You ain't going to do that. >> Don't do this. Never. >> Ma'am, stop. Stop it. You're not going to stop us from entering the house. >> I didn't do that. >> Ma'am, stop fighting us. >> Ma'am, open the door. >> Stop. >> All right. 31, come in the front. >> Ma'am, stop resisting us. Stop resisting. We're here for a lawful reason. Okay. >> Here. Sit. Sit down. >> Look on my Facebook. >> Sit down. Here. You know what? Come up. Stand up. Stand up. >> You don't have to be aggressive. I >> No. Do me a favor. Hey. Hey. Hey. Stop. Hey. Do me a favor. Just hang out with her or my car. I got to go upstairs, man. In the car, please. Figure it out. Just keep an eye on this. Running away from the police was definitely not the best idea since it only made the woman identified as 38-year-old Roesa Sylveas look guiltier. And the moment officers entered the home, the reason for her fleeing became apparent. >> Man, we got somebody on the floor. Bro, look 7, bro. >> How old is the oldest? right now. >> Upstairs. Upstairs. >> What? No. No. She's in the kitchen. >> Right here, man. >> Okay. >> Kitchen. >> Not responsive at all. Maybe. All right. Let them do their job. over here. >> Yeah. >> Let's try to keep as many people out as we can. Let fire do what they got to do and then we're going to roast. >> Paramedics rushed the gravely injured 18-year-old to the hospital while officers zeroed in on their prime suspect, her own mother. But what awaited them in the back of the patrol car was anything but routine. >> Step out. Oh my goodness. Step out, ma'am. Come on. Come on. Come on. You think I'm better? >> No. >> Huh? >> No. What's wrong with you? All right. Can we stop? Can we stop acting like this, please, so I can do your search? Really? I need you to like >> get one of them to come over here and say while you >> No, no, she was she was uh talking at she started making something. Exactly what she said. Okay. >> So, we'll just have her. >> All right. You want to put it back in? They poison. Come on. I guess heat. You know where you're at? Where you at? >> My house. >> You take anything or anything like that? >> No. >> Not yet. We're just hunting. >> Young lady, what's your name? >> And uh you live here? >> Yes. >> How long have you lived here? >> I'm a few months. >> Few months. Okay. Who do you live here with? >> Me and my children. >> Your children. The small children. Like the babies? I seen one or two little babies. >> Uh what about the the other person there? >> No, I have three kids. >> You have three kids. How old are your kids? >> How old are they? >> Nine, three, and four. >> Four. Okay. >> Roisha conveniently failed to mention the 18-year-old daughter who was just found unresponsive on the kitchen floor. Officers would soon realize that every word out of Rodisha's mouth was nothing but a twisted lie. So, who's here today with you? >> Me and my three kids. >> You and your three kids. Okay. The three and four-year-old. Were they upstairs? >> Okay. And then where's your nine? Where's your nine-year-old? >> They're all upstairs. >> They're all upstairs. >> You were all up there. >> Okay. >> We just got up and I was going to give them a bath. >> Who uh who's in the kitchen? >> Somebody's in the kitchen. A little bit older than nine, though. They're not 9 years old. >> I couldn't even tell you. >> You couldn't even tell you? >> I only have three kids. >> Okay. There's Okay. All right. Hang Titan. Hey, Titan. Titan. >> Do you want to see the fire department? Do you want them to check you out? >> I'm fine. I just want my kid. [clears throat] >> She's fine. >> I don't know what happened. Like, >> you want me just to take photos of her or something? I don't know. >> If you're talking to me, I didn't hear you. >> I mean, since fire's here, should we have them just set eyes over here? >> They can. >> I mean, just check whatever. Okay. >> And they go off like, "All right. We're just going to have fire just >> look at you. Make sure everything's good. >> Okay. rescue. Okay, >> thank you. >> Is this Blackhawk Down? >> Who are these people? >> The police department. >> Police on fire. Are you able to sit back? Let me get you. >> As another officer pressed her for answers, her story changed yet again with each excuse more unbelievable than the last. Who went to the hospital just now? Do you know? Who? Who is that? >> I have four kids. >> Oh, you have four kids. Okay. What was that daughter's name? >> She doesn't want it. She wants >> I'm fine. Are y'all okay? >> Why are y'all here? >> What's that? >> If you could just look at her and make sure she's to check you out. >> No, I'm fine. >> Everything is fine. >> Thank you. I appreciate it. We're going to walk over to the other car. Okay. You want me to walk? Yeah. We're going to go to this. >> We're going to go to this car over here. You're using the same. Okay. >> Right here. >> The car. >> Yes, sir. Yep. You're good. Take >> your hands up just a little bit. Turn the back. is a little not I think so. >> The officers thought they had seen enough of her games. Except Rodisha wasn't finished. >> You just told them you didn't want to see him. Hey, now she wants to see you guys. Heat. Heat. Okay. >> Okay. They they go treat it when you get there. There's a doctor there that can treat you. >> Well, we can't treat it. >> Okay. >> I know, man. But I see the scrape and stuff like that. That's what I'm saying. They're they're going to take a X-ray. They can do all that stuff there. >> I don't need an X-ray. I just need this looked at. >> I mean, what do you want me to The only I can give you is a bad day for that, man. I'm not at hospital. I'm just >> This is it. Jesus wants us to go. >> They looked at it. >> He looked at it, >> right? What do you want them to do? He just said that I could go to the ER and they'll give me X. >> No, you will do that at the jail. >> They have Yeah, the Orient jail has a whole medical staff there that >> we're not we're not going to the hospital. >> Especially Yeah. So, is there anything else you need them for, ma'am? >> Okay. I'll give you a bandage. >> Step out. There's no line to that door over there. >> Rodic was arrested and charged with resisting an officer with violence and aggravated battery with great bodily harm. But just 2 days later, when her daughter tragically passed away, the case took a darker turn. The medical examiner ruled it a homicide and her charges were upgraded to first-degree [music] murder. By June 19th, 2024, the Hillsboro County Medical Examiner declared Roachcha mentally unfit for trial. She was committed to [music] a state-run mental health facility, leaving behind a trail of lies, violence, and an unthinkable crime. From one troubling case to another, this mother had pushed her own son to his limits, threatening him and instilling a level of fear that should never come from within one's own home. >> I said, "Get the out." >> What? >> Get out your phone. Get the out like get the out. >> What did you get? >> You keep trying me. Get the out. >> I'm not. Get the get the out. >> On October 21st, 2022, officers responded to a call from a teenager who reported that his mother had threatened him with a knife during an argument over not putting groceries away. Upon arrival, officers heard a loud argument inside the home, raising immediate concerns for the boy's safety. >> I'm at the residence. I can hear purple yelling in the background at this point. Okay, please. >> I don't care. >> Get in the house. >> Get in the house. >> Hey, [music] so >> you can come in. >> Well, here. Let's Let's go ahead and How about I have one of you step outside and talk to me? >> Now, my foot is messed up, so I You can come in the house. >> All right. [music] Are here. Are you the sun right now? >> Yes. Yes. All right. >> Okay. How about How about you come out here and talk to me for a minute, bud? >> Stephanie. >> All right. I'm going to let that door close. Here. Come over here and stand over here for me for just a second. So, tell me what's going on. >> The usual. >> What does the usual mean? >> When she when she get act when she when she like this, you know, stuff happen. >> Okay. What do you mean? You got to be a little bit more descriptive, man. [music] Saying when she's like this, stuff happens doesn't really help anything. So, tell me what led up to this tonight. >> Okay. So, I walked in the kitchen and made me something to eat. I made me something to eat. >> No, tell her the full story. Don't stand there. >> Hey, shut up. >> Hey, I'm I'm working with him. >> I'll come and talk to you. >> Okay. So, >> I guess she went grocery shopping or whatever, right? >> All right. >> I was on the couch playing a game with her. >> Her my sister Stephanie, she brought the groceries in. I'm thinking she put the groceries out cuz, you know, she brought them in the house. >> Okay. So, I'm s I was playing the game cuz I'm thinking, "All right, everything okay?" >> I walk in the kitchen to go make me something to eat. I see the groceries on the counter and I open the fridge and then the fridge is not, you know, the groceries can't fit in there. So, I asked my brother Anthony to re like take out the stuff so the groceries could fit in the fridge. Right. >> Okay. >> I I asked him once. I didn't say nothing else to him. I asked him once [music] and I said, "Okay, let me go tell her." I want to go tell her, right? >> Tell who is her? >> My mom. >> Okay. >> I went to go tell her, right? and I told um can you make aunt rearrange some friends soccer? >> According to the 15year-old boy, the situation was not unusual as his mother had a history of becoming angry and escalating conflicts far beyond what was necessary. This time it started over the most trivial issue once again exposing how quickly her temper ignited. >> You notice that [music] the groceries are on the counter? >> Yes. >> And then you ask him if he could rearrange the fridge and then what you just said here is that he said no. >> He told me no. >> Okay. So that Okay. So you went to tell your mom >> and she say and I came back in the living room. She said she said oh she like she was telling me come back in her room. I went back to her room. She was like oh why you being a why you acting like a she said all that. She like why acting like I said I'm acting like a cuz I told him to clean out the fridge. She talking about oh you don't do nothing when want to sit here and play the game. But I make sure the house clean I clean this house myself by myself. [music] I clean out the fridge all that. She talking about myself. Oh all that. And then she come in the living room and I grab my food. I was going to sit back down cuz I was not going to put up the brushes cuz refrigerator not clean. So I was going to sit back down and eat. She come to me [music] my food out my hand. She said she wanted to be disrespectful. She like she like >> I was like >> I didn't really care. So I went back in the fr I went back to go try to make me something. >> She had smack smack the whole she >> dump the dump the spaghetti out on the floor. Northwest. >> And I said, >> I got it. Okay. >> I said I said tonight. >> Yes. So, hit me again and see what happened. And then she was like, she was like, "Oh, you threatening me." I'm like, "No, I'm not threatening." I said, "I'm going call the police." And she was like, "Okay." She's like, "You want to call the police? I'm going call them for you." go back in there and she whip out a knife on me >> pulled a knife on you tonight just because Okay. >> All because of that. All I ask him to do one simple thing. It could have been simply resolved. She said, "Hey, go clean out the fridge so he can put the groceries up." >> Okay. >> But she don't treat nothing equal in this house. >> I got you. >> It don't go it don't go equal. >> Let me get a couple things from you real quick. >> After hearing the boy's account, the officer went inside the house to hear the mother's version of events, only to realize how convinced she was that her actions were justified. That certainty made it clear just how much these children had been enduring. >> Hello. >> Hey, what's going on? >> One, I just had certain surgery again because of this whole situ. I just got this yesterday. >> Okay. >> So, I went grocery shopping earlier. Me, this has been an ongoing issue with me and him. So, I went grocery shopping about say 6:00. The grocery still sitting on the counter. >> Yeah. >> So, he comes and tell my son to clean out the refrigerator so he can put the groceries up. But I'm asking him why if you're putting the groceries up, why you just can't straighten the refrigerator up. So he talk about old cool in the house and so I told him stop cussing. He's only 15. >> Yeah. >> He constantly cuss and I told him to stop cussing before I pop him in the mouth. >> Mhm. >> He's still cussing. He's still cussing. So I came out here and I popped him in his mouth. >> You're 15? >> Yeah. >> Oh me again see what happened. Oh, so you threatening me now? >> Mhm. >> So you threaten me now? So yes, I went and grabbed the knife. You You're threatening me >> because Oh, I'mma see what happened. I told him I would put his ass in the grave if he put his hands on me again. >> He already got a charge open now for putting his hands on me. >> Yeah. >> So, he got I guess he got me on recording with a knife in my hand and I told him, I bet you you would be 16. Why you can't put the groceries up? >> Okay. >> What's so hard about you putting the groceries up? >> OKAY. >> WHY YOU bothering him to straighten up the refrigerator when you could do it? >> He never swung a knife out of No, I never sworn like that. >> I would. So you you have every right >> to discipline and every time he feel that he DON'T WANT TO DO NOTHING, HE WANT TO CALL YOU. I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU BECAUSE I CAN [laughter] I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISCIPLINE. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO STAND HERE AND >> YOU DO. YOU have the every right to discipline your child. Okay. >> According to the mother, the teenager already had an open battery charge and she claimed she was tired of being threatened by him. However, the way things unfolded that night had spiraled out of control as nothing could justify grabbing a knife and threatening [music] a 15-year-old boy >> now. >> And so he tried when I told him since you feel you don't want to do nothing, DON'T EAT MY HOUSE, I KNOCK THE PLATE food out his hand. You don't want to do nothing. You talking TO ME ANY KIND that I bought. >> Um I bought >> I WOULD >> MAN >> I WOULD still air on >> I would still air on the side of caution. Um because in in Florida you have every right to discipline your child. Every right. Okay. It's called corporal punishment. All right. If he if he starts back backtalking you, you have every right to pop him in the mouth. Now there it gets there is a level where it gets excessive to where it becomes child abuse. >> And I'm sick of him cuz he feel because he got his height [music] his height. He's going to do whatever he want to do. The last time he did it, he swung on me and once again he stepped on my foot. So you were you you grabbed it just in fear of what he might do to you. [music] >> Okay. >> Not not to >> not not to discipline with him with it, but you were in fear that he might do hurt you again or >> because last time before he stepped on my foot and the bottom of my foot split open, so I tried to let it heal on its own. >> Okay, >> come on. >> Me going to the doctor, I just had surgery again because it bust open. I'm not even supposed to be up on my foot. >> Yeah, >> I completely get that. So >> I'm just sick and tired of him. You feel because we're up here. It's a different ball game. No, I'mma get to playing you just as if we was home. >> I was here. Do you remember me? I was here last time when your daughter ran away. >> Yeah, she's right there. >> Okay. >> She doing She doing better. >> She doing good? Oh, I love to hear that. >> Now, he's the one kind [music] of causing the problem. >> Yes, it's him because he feel he's not supposed to do nothing in the house but the bare minimum. You You want to constantly bully and pick at your little brother. Then you tell your little brother, "Oh, you don't call me your big Don't call me your big brother no more because he don't want to straight the refrigerator up." >> Yeah. >> Like, come on. That's bullying. Why are you bullying him? >> All right, let me go. Let me go see out out here. >> Although she put on a tough front and tried to shift the blame onto her son, the boy's calm demeanor and quiet disappointment told an entirely different story, and the truth was about to come into sharper focus as the teenager held the proof of what had unfolded that night and the fear he had been forced to endure at the hands of his own mother. Did Did anybody witness all of this happen? Was there anybody else in the room? Huh? >> I got it on video. >> You've got it on video. >> Happen again. So, I had I got open charge for this. >> I'm not going to do nothing stupid, >> right? Can I Can I see the video? >> Yeah. Let me just see that first and then she smacked my phone on my hand. This >> look no this before she sm >> Okay. Can I watch the whole thing? How long is the whole video? 2 minutes. Okay. Can I watch the whole video? >> Bet you won't eat it. >> Stop trying. >> Keep telling your care nothing. Get out of my house. You going to be Get the >> Get the out of your >> That's That's all you can say. All I ask him TO DO IS REARRANGE A REFRIGERATOR SO I can put the groceries up and she say why I can't do it and why I'm being a >> and I don't want to hear that. >> WHY YOU CAN'T DO IT? >> LOOK AT THIS REFRIGERATOR. >> You want him to clean? >> Look at this. All I ask Anthony to do is rearrange the refrigerator so I could put the groceries up. But no, it's a problem. She don't want Anthony to do nothing. >> CLEAN THE REFRIGERATOR OUT TO PUT THE GROCERIES UP. >> I ALWAYS DO IT. WHY YOU [ __ ] [screaming] DO IT? >> YOU DON'T DO HOUSE. >> SO I DON'T CLEAN UP THIS WHOLE HOUSE. YOU DON'T DO >> I DON'T CLEAN UP THIS whole house. >> The >> Oh my god. YOU >> WHAT YOU CLEAN UP? >> I don't beg you to clean up. >> I do not. I could clean this WHOLE HOUSE. I CLEAN >> the lot when it's ALL DAY TO WASH DISHES. ONE TIME YOU WASH THE DISHES. >> OKAY. >> OKAY. >> OKAY. >> Make sure everything's in the sink so I could wash them. Okay. >> Trayvon. >> Okay. I still get it clean. Okay. >> Put it up or get out. >> Okay. >> Put it up or get out. >> Which one? Oh no. >> Which one? >> Which one? You getting mad cuz I actually cut in my house. Hang on. You don't get the out. You're not going to get out. So you going to keep I said get the out. >> What? >> Get out on the phone. GET THE OUT LIKE I SAID. Get the phone. >> Get the out. >> Where did you get my phone? YOU WANT TO KEEP TRYING ME? [clears throat] Get the out. >> I'm not done. >> Get the Get the out. >> Can you stop putting your hands on? >> You want to keep trying me? Get the out. >> This is exactly why I got to open charge now. >> I don't give a you have a another one. >> Okay. Matter of fact. >> All right, I'll get you to send that to me here in just a second. Just hang out tight here while I talk to you. You'll be right here. >> At this point, the officers had gathered everything they needed to act. The mother's explosive behavior had gone far beyond any defensible limit, pushing the situation into dangerous territory. Although she insisted she never struck the boy. The video told a different story. It showed that the teenager's behavior was nowhere near as threatening [music] as she claimed, revealing how quickly her composure unraveled and raising serious concerns about the safety of the children in her care. >> So, at this point, I'm going to have to ask you to turn around, put your hands behind your back because we are going to place you under arrest. Go ahead. >> Can I put my boot on? >> Huh? >> Can I put my boot on? >> We'll get you taken care of and stuff. All right. Just go ahead and put those behind. >> Go ahead and put those behind your back for just a second here. >> Hold on, buddy. >> Hold on, buddy. >> In the end, the mother was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. That case revealed how far some parents will go to control their children. But the next one pushes the limits even further as officers were dispatched to a residence after a son reported that his mother's controlling behavior had reached absurd levels. >> I'm trying to grasp up off the floor. Jeep over kicking me, knocking me down like that. >> But wait, you coming in my house? >> Okay. Well, I'm the police, so put the gun down. >> Okay. Well, I'm entitled to have my gun. >> Okay. >> Don't come in here with no no. You cannot ask me what's going on. >> I can't ask you what's going on. >> But I don't know. I'm not telling you. I don't know. >> You're being very erratic right now. Because when you have a child, your child turn their back on you and call authorities. On October 27th, 2022, officers in Georgia responded to a disturbing 911 call. 31-year-old Darius Mlan, desperate and exhausted, claimed [music] his controlling mother was holding him hostage inside her home. >> She asked me to go get her a bottle of wine. Said, "Sure." So, I did. >> Had her a bottle of wine. Got myself a record light or something. >> Okay. >> Then I was playing music. >> Okay. >> She didn't like the music I was playing. >> So, she asked me to turn it off. >> Is that what got it all started? Was was the music? >> Yeah. >> So, she asked me to turn it off. >> I turned it off. >> Then she just loses it and I was like, "Um, okay." So, words, after the other, all I wanted to do, I even told her this. I said, "I do not want to stay here. I want to go home. I'll grab my dog. I'll grab my stuff and I will go home." >> Where's she going? can't talk. Okay. >> She goes, "No, you ain't going nowhere. If you going to leave, I'm going have you leave in the morning." And I was like, "But I want to leave now." >> Did she say why she wanted to hold me here? >> No, she didn't say because she's my mom. I fell back. I'm like, "All right, fine. I don't want any type of confrontation." But the longer I stayed there, the worse it got. >> Okay. She done I'm trying to I'm trying to grasp up off the floor. She down like that. And I'm like, what are you doing? >> Her pushing me around. And the only thing I was trying to do was just get my stuff and leave. [music] >> Okay. >> So now that >> she's talking a whole different game now. >> I never held him here. He could go home now. I tried to go home two hours ago. Like two hours ago, >> so in and like all of a sudden on the phone I was like she was talking a a whole different game now. Before I called you guys, she was like, "No, you ain't going nowhere. No damn, you ain't going nowhere. If you're going to go home, it's going to be in the morning." And I was like, "But I don't want to go home in the morning. I want to go home now." So the only way I can handle that is for me to leave. She didn't want me to leave. So I had to sneak to go to the bathroom and call the cops and uh uh we on the phone heard her at the door banging the door. Let me in. Let me in. Don't be locking no doors in my house. Bang. Like he heard all this commotion going on. >> Mhm. And as soon as she heard a cop on the phone, he should go, "Oh, he could leave right now. He could leave right now." And I was like, "I was trying to do that 2 hours ago." >> When the officer arrived, Darius vented his frustrations, explaining how his mother refused to let him leave. But when the officers then headed to confront the mother, they were left shocked by her behavior. >> Hey, you. Angela, >> come on in. You coming in? Cuz this is embarrassing. >> Okay. Well, can you step out from behind the door so I can make sure you're not hiding anything from behind? my gun. >> Put that down. >> But wait, you coming in my house? >> Okay. Well, I'm the police, so put the gun down. >> All right. Well, I'm entitled to have my gun. >> Okay. >> Don't come in here with no whiffing and reference. >> It's in my house. >> Okay. What's going on? >> I don't know. You tell me. You knocking on the door. I ain't calling you. >> I'm here to ask what's going on. >> Come over here, please. I don't know why my door. This is I don't know if you understand. This is a older senior citizen place. >> Okay. >> This is embarrassing. I did not call you. So you cannot ask me what's going on. >> I can't ask you what's going on. >> Well, I don't know. I'm not telling you. I don't know. >> Okay. So, you don't want to talk to me? >> No. What I'm saying is I don't know. I did not call you. If I called you, I would have something to say. >> Was there an altercation with your son? >> No. >> Was there a verbal altercation? Was there a physical altercation? What's going on? >> What did he say? What do you Sir? >> I don't know. What? What did he say? You asking me something that maybe he called you about? I don't know. >> I'm just asking you what happened. And I'm telling you, I don't know. >> So, you don't know what happened between you and your son? >> No. My son is 31 years old. I've been raising him. I know he got a new girlfriend and he probably want to go home to her. So, I don't know. You have to ask him. You're asking me a question that I don't have an answer to. >> I'm asking about your side of the story. He's giving us a side of the story. I'm asking about your side of the story. >> I don't know what the story is. You're asking me. I don't know about a story. This is the thing. I don't know. >> So, your son wasn't in here earlier? >> I said he was here and I think he wanted to go with his girlfriend. >> Okay. >> And that's all I know. >> Was there a physical altercation between? >> No, my son and I don't have physical altercation. >> Did y'all were y'all arguing or I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. >> He was in a He went to the bathroom. >> Uh-huh. >> And then he was I could have found out he was on the phone with somebody 911. >> Uh-huh. >> That's all I know. >> Gotcha. >> He was supposed to leave the morning with the dog. He said he would leave in the morning. >> Uhhuh. >> And then all of a sudden he said I thought he was going to the bathroom cuz he got through the bathroom. The couch couch. That's why if if there was an altercation this place would be upside down. >> Sure. >> And he got my son has a problem communicating. If he wanted to leave, he should have said he wanted to leave. >> Gotcha. >> I found out on the phone and I said, "You know what? Is that you want to leave? Then go ahead, get your stuff and leave." Mhm. >> And he went out the door with a different police officer. I don't know was you >> and then that's it. Like I don't know. He has a problem communicating. >> Gotcha. >> The mother hiding and clutching a firearm behind the door told the officers all they needed to know. >> The dog medication is medication. >> So I'm I'm going to put this away. I don't like you walking around close to this gun with me. >> And the reason the reason the reason I was a little frustrated is because you were hiding behind the door with a gun. And I announced myself as police. >> I didn't know who was that. >> Okay, I got you. >> So, I have this is my home. I have the right to protect my home. >> Angelette, can we move past that? >> Oh, you know my name. >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. So, >> yeah, it's nothing else to talk about. As far as I'm concerned, I'm here to answer any question, but there's nothing else. My son, >> so why would he be so upset to call the police? That's what I want to know. >> Listen, let me tell you something. And I don't like to say this about my child, >> but >> it's hard for him to communicate. >> I don't want to say he have ADD. I'm not saying myself, >> right? >> It's hard for my son to communicate. He has a new girlfriend in his life. His first girlfriend >> and he's excited. My son didn't have glasses, >> so he had to stay here so he would use my internet >> to work for my He just got his glasses that I got for him. >> Uhhuh. Once he got his glasses, he wanted to what? Actually, I have my mask on. I don't I don't play 12 stuff. But >> once he got his glasses, >> he wanted to leave now and go back to his girlfriend. >> Gotcha. >> And he didn't know how to communicate that. >> Okay. >> He didn't know how to communicate that. >> So, he's thinking I'm going to get upset. Listen, you're a grown man, >> right? >> So, he figured if he I said to him, don't leave tonight. He I said don't cuz the girl was sleeping. Mhm. >> I said, "Please wait in the morning cuz he don't have to go to work till 3:00 p.m. >> Gotcha." >> I said, "Don't take don't take uh VA this late at night. >> Wait till the morning and leave. It's 4 something in the morning." >> Uhhuh. >> And that's it. He doesn't know how to communicate. >> Gotcha. >> And then once I thought he was talking to his girlfriend on the phone >> and then I muted the television and once I heard the conversation, >> I thought he was in talk to his girlfriend and I said, "Excuse me, if you want to go, you can go." Cuz then I heard him say stuff like she >> she I'm trying to but she and I'm like if you can leave you can leave. >> But by then I didn't know he was on the phone with the cops. >> Gotcha. >> He could have gone >> when he mentioned it before cuz he doesn't talk to him and you don't understand what I'm saying. I love my child. >> I I talked to him. I talked to him. He's saying you didn't want him to leave. You were holding him in here. >> I told him I didn't want him to The dog is on medication. He's not taking care of the dog. >> So, answer the question. Did a physical altercation occur? >> You ask me that already. What did I say? Do I look like I've been fighting myself? Look at me. >> I'm just asking question. >> If that's him, just bring him in. >> It's a It's a yes or no question. >> I said that to you already. You asking me the same question. >> Okay. >> This is so embarrassing. >> The woman's actions only grew more suspicious as she wandered around the house, dodging their questions. It was only natural that the officers were getting frustrated by the minute. bed. >> Mhm. >> He can take his little stuff that's in the closet. >> Mhm. >> He can take his clothes that's in his chair. >> He can take his Bible. >> Yep. >> He can take his stuff and he can go on when he live in Tucker, Georgia. Something like I want him out of my house. >> Okay, man. >> So, tell him just clap our hands and it happen. Okay. >> I hope so cuz y'all coming in here like it can happen. >> Yeah. >> No, no, no. I'm getting some bags. I know what my >> Okay. >> Please don't tell me what to do in my house. >> Hold on. We're trying to >> I know I'm I'm really I'm really >> You're being very erratic right now because when you have a child when your child turn their back on you and call the authorities, you would not know what I'm going through until you understand you and you will never be a mother. You don't understand what I'm talking he's getting out of the house right now. >> Not quick enough for me. He did all that phone call. >> All we can go >> here be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem. He has a big bag pissed up. Anybody want to help him out? >> Sir, what are you doing with my loading? >> What What are you doing? He's six. How tall are you? I'm I'm like making >> Yeah, you're fine. >> Like I'm going three officers. Come on. Do this. >> Just till we get out of here. That's all. Just till we get out of here. >> But then guess what? Help him out instead of being Wait, where my gun? Where my stuff? >> Pull on this. >> No, but where my Let me see it. Let me see. Can I see it, please? And this is mine. I have the right. Let me tell I'm certified so I understand how things are. >> Can I see myself? >> I am not. What makes you think I'm a prostit quick and just like just bounce out? >> What? >> Have you ever heard of SFS? >> What do you tell me more about that? You giving me so? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay, hold on. I already know that you're positive disrespect. >> No, no, no. Let me tell you. I've been crying. I've been crying. That's what you see. You see tears. You do not listen. All I ask you. >> I'm not disrespecting you. I'm asking you. But you ain't going with me. Where is my gun in my imagination? >> As soon as as soon as he's gone. >> What I'm going to do with it? >> Okay. Can you show it to me for >> Why are you trying to get to it so bad if you're not if you're saying you're not going to do anything? That's what's making us nervous. Okay. Cuz you're trying to get to your gun so freaking bad right now. >> Three men in a free. Can I see the gun in the magazine? >> Is that all your stuff? >> Can you show me the gun in the magazine? That's >> everything. >> No. What am I going to do? Look at me and look at you guys. >> The fact that we're arguing with such a simple >> Is this a dog's medication? >> All I want to see is that. >> No, you're good. You're good. >> You mean to tell me? >> No, no, no. Understand. But I'm a court and all that stuff. >> You got the dog medication stuff >> cuz I'm asking. See, this is medication. and you're not giving it to him. >> And man, God going to deal with you. >> Excuse me, sir. >> I can talk to my child if I want to. >> Finally, after a lengthy standoff, the woman begrudgingly agreed to let her son leave. But she continued with passive aggressive comments and even attempted to inch closer to the weapon. But the officers were smarter than to let that happen. >> We don't talk to him. >> Jeez, let this is my house. >> Okay. And right now, we're trying >> So you should be talking to him, >> right? And we're trying to You trying to let him control my house? >> No. Can you actually please go read the book or do something? >> No. No. No. This is my house. >> Okay. So, he out. He in the focus sharing up my house. >> Yeah. But he's got to pay for it. >> He needs all good, bro. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. There's Hold on. >> He didn't live here. >> Hey, hang tight. Hang tight. There's >> All right. Here's the thing, man. You sure you don't have anything? Cuz you're not coming back here. Okay. >> Do one more check. >> Check around with that. >> Let me go in the bathroom. >> He only stay in his living room. >> I don't have anything in the back. >> Can you go off the door, please? >> He was either his stuff was either in here or over here. He didn't go far in my house. This is my house. He don't even like you getting here more than I have in my house. >> No, we're trying. >> You're wanting him to leave. for getting stuff in me. So you don't humiliate me in front of my in my house. I'm asking you where's my magazine and my gun and no s >> because this is all being >> you got to call us. >> What's your dash number? Can you give me your ass, >> dude? See what you mean. >> Okay, this is going to be the case number. We're going to write up a disturbance report. Um it's not good or bad. And it's not nobody's getting charges or anything right now. It's going to detail what you said. It's going to detail what she said. >> Okay. Um, so you see what I'm talking about. So we're good. >> Good. >> There. Good. >> He says he's good. Do not come out. >> Just go. I just want you to >> Okay. Do not come out. >> Don't tell me what to do. Just leave. Just get out of my house. >> Get out of my house. >> Get out of my I'm scared of you. cannot get out of here, ma'am. This the hallway. >> You have no You have no authority. You have no authority over this area. >> In the end, due to conflicting statements, the officers found no probable cause to charge either party. Moving on to the moment where a mother's aggressive and disturbing behavior was revealed by her own children through a 911 call, laying bare just how far she had pushed things inside the house. >> No, I don't give a that my kids are there. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE. I don't care. Get out. Lawn, >> what's going on? >> Why are your kids saying that you're getting dead? Because okay, >> this kid just looked at me and he he pointed at you and he did this. Why? >> Oh my god, you guys are so stupid. BECAUSE I KNOW THE LAW. >> ON the 15th of June, 2025, officers received a 911 call from a child reporting domestic disturbance between their parents. But when the woman later identified as Karen, who answered the door, was not at all what they expected. She was hostile and refused to cooperate. But she was hiding a lot more than just her anger. >> Crystal Lake police >> take care of you. Exactly. >> Crystal Lake police. >> Yeah. Can you come get him? >> Yeah. What's going on? Hold on. Come over here. >> Get him out. >> Okay. Come over here. >> Oh, they're right here. >> Hey, hold on. Hang on. Come over here. >> Come over here. I got to get you guys separated. Come on over here. >> Get out. >> No. >> No. Yeah, you can. No. Yes. I'm not going to leave. >> GET OUT. >> YEAH, BECAUSE I DIDN'T LET YOU IN MY HOUSE.
