It was quiet. I'm like, "Yeah, this is definitely not the >> We uh we found her in a closet one." And I was like, "What's your name?" She says, "Tella." I go, "Tell her what?" She was I don't have a last name. >> Yeah. A guy in there in this apartment while I was naked and I was like, "And you guys said use some of force." I'm like, "I'm not hearing any talk." So, I'm definitely in the wrong building then. >> Yeah. Well, I thought we >> He's like, "There's an apartment one over in the other building." I was like, "All right, we'll see." >> And then, uh, and then she started to walk out the apartment. And then he redirects her back into the apartment. Uh, so we should should >> I don't know. He probably left out somewhere. I don't think he's in here anymore. >> There there's a guy here. >> Well, they saw a guy jump through the window >> and we are >> and we found her in here. So, maybe they just had the wrong Maybe they saw the wrong person. >> I guess the city's been on them about the garbage in the yards. So, we came up to do that and then I seen that person going through the window. So, I'm going to go in and I'm going to screw all the windows shut. Not that that's going to stop them. It'll uh they'll just kick the window in, but they're paying me to do the work on them, so I'm going to do it, you know. >> Absolutely. So, you saw her go through that window over there? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Was it her or that house? >> It I thought it was a black guy. It was probably the hat and the coat pulled up. >> The woman faced serious charges as the officers decided to take her into custody. So So Solo peace officer cuz she was swinging at you and trying to hit you. >> Yep. >> And then uh interference. >> Yep. Oh. Uh I guess she wasn't formally trespassed, but I mean >> she should have known she don't belong in there. I mean >> Yeah. They had to break in. So, >> they had to climb through a window so you know you're clearly trespassing. >> Yep. Let's do it. >> Yeah, >> I'm good with those three. >> Okay, brother. >> All right, man. >> I'll I'll let the jail know. They can drag her out of there and deal with it. >> And uh yeah, if they reach out to you or dispatch once they find out who it is, just let them know. >> Yeah, I'll try to figure it out down there. >> I'll add her to it. I need to get access back. >> This is your country. Have fun. Let me go. contained right now. You are not free to go. >> Let me go. >> Face the wall. Ma'am. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, you have to calm down. Ma'am, please stop. >> On April 25th, 2024, an officer responded to a call about an evicted tenant refusing to leave a property in Florida. Upon arrival, the officer was surprised to find the tenant, Milan, sitting outside the unit, ready to engage. >> Hey, ma'am. What's your name? >> What is it? >> Milan. >> Milan? Yeah. >> Do you have an ID on you? So, I I'll let you know right now. Um, I talked to the deputy that served the paperwork. He notified me that you were properly evicted. >> Deputy came today. It's Officer Michael Price, Daytona Beach. >> She was evicted properly earlier. Okay. He went took her legal paperwork, went to the courthouse, filed two separate motions. I got notice from the courts. Both motions were denied. >> Okay. >> I did go to the courthouse. I I gave them all type of evidence to show them exactly what's going on. >> Despite the legal eviction, Milan refused to leave, setting up a tense standoff. >> Your side of my story, they just denied um no legal basis. >> Okay. So I I already have that >> there's plenty of legal basis. >> I I understand that you you believe that there's plenty of legal basis, >> but they've already denied your judgment. >> Which means So if if you understand that >> I have 24 hours to be evicted. I need >> you've already been evicted. >> I'm not evicted. I need to get access back. >> I'm I'm They're not giving you access back to your stuff. I I just want to let you know. >> I need to get access. >> I just want to let you know right now at this point it doesn't seem like we're kind of getting anywhere. And I and I really don't want to escalate it to the further the next level. I'm just letting you know >> you've been properly evicted. >> Listen, may I speak please? >> I've been getting May around for like almost 8 years now. >> Okay. >> For almost 8 years. >> Okay. I'm I'm going to explain to you as simple as I can. They've evicted you. Okay. You went to the court. Your act your actions were denied. Okay. Which means you've been properly evicted, which means you no longer have any tenant rights to this place. If you would like to grab your stuff, you can call them at a later date and arrange to grab your stuff. But as of right now, you've been legally evicted and they do not want you on the property. So, I have to ask you to leave the property. If you refuse to leave the property, I'm going to place you under arrest. Okay? >> I'm telling you right now, I as I just said, >> this is a long history. >> I'm I'm letting you know right now, ma'am. >> If you I don't want to place you under arrest, but at this point in time, you're giving me no recourse. This is a long history. >> You're giving me no. >> Can you please leave the property? >> I want you to We're not doing any of that. >> There's no legal basis for me to get the support back. >> Negative. Will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> But and now >> will you leave the property? Yes or no? >> Ma'am law, >> ma'am. >> Yes. Please of legal basis. >> Will you leave the property? I have plenty of stuff in the apartment. >> They do not want to allow you access to to the to the place. >> What's the reason? >> They don't have to. They don't have to give you a reason. There's no reason. No, they don't. >> Why? Why not? >> Cuz they don't have to give you a reason. They've already given you enough time to grab your stuff and leave. You did not do that. >> When did they give you plenty of stuff? >> When they gave you a notice. >> When When was that? >> I'm just letting you know right now. >> When was that? >> You're going to be placed under arrest. >> When was that? >> Okay. >> When was that? Apparently, Milan had failed to pay rent for 6 months. Yet, she insisted that her eviction was unlawful. The officer calmly explained the law and urged her to leave to avoid arrest, but she refused to comply, forcing the officer to take firmer action. >> There's no legal basis, but now you you trying to enforce the law for trespassing. >> I'm telling you right now, you're they don't want you on the property. >> There's no legal basis. There is plenty of evidence. There's plenty. >> That's something you can take up with the court. >> I did already. They denied it. They don't want to see it. >> Then that's and there that that's where we are right now. Okay. >> At this point in time, you have to leave the property. I don't want to take you to jail. >> I really don't. I'm just asking you to leave the property >> because you know you won't. >> No, I'm not wrong. The court has already told you. >> No, you know you won't. The court is wrong. You won't. Okay. >> Even the supervisor. Now the office is closed. >> Okay. >> Suddenly the office is closed. There's not something fishy about that. Nothing fishy about that. Nothing is fishy about that. >> Okay. >> This is your country. Have fun. >> You. >> No. No. No. No. No. This is your country. Have fun. No. Let me go. Sir, let me go. Let me go. This is your country. Have fun. This is your country. Have fun. Let me go. >> Right now. You're not free to go. >> This is Let me go. [Music] After detaining her, the officers prepared to handle the property. But Milan, realizing that she had no option left to avoid arrest, began to resist. >> I'm Officer Deer, I have to search you prior to you going to uh jail. >> Is there anything on you at all that I should know about? >> Okay. Do you have any questions about the process right now? >> Okay. Nothing in your pockets, ma'am. >> Okay. Nobody ever cares for me again. >> I can't hear you because somebody won't stop running their mouth. We we've definitely been here for the last four months being here. >> We got both. So this is like last resort. >> And I guess instead of getting a tent, I got too comfortable. >> Well, we're still up on the third floor for right now. >> We're trying to decide if she'll walk down on her own or not. >> Didn't do anything. I wrote >> criminal trespass. Ma'am, >> I'll start that way. >> So you're saying that you've lived here for 12 months? >> No. 4 months? >> For 4 months. Even though we walked through it last night, it wasn't secure. No one was in there. We were in that. >> It's all different locations on my Don't you guys get that? >> Yeah. You're going to different apartments. >> Okay. >> Do you pay rent here? >> All the kids you give money to the to the uh housing. >> I request my dad now. >> No. >> The other week when I ran into you and I told you, >> I'm not going to jail. >> Don't be in these apartments cuz you're going to go to jail for trespassing. You're back, right? >> I'm not going to I told you I've already done this for 170 countries and that's >> and I told you that night if I deal with you again you're going to go to jail, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, we're here >> I'm a man of my word. >> You're going to go to jail for trespass tonight. >> Unfortunate, ma'am. >> Okay. >> You're going to go for trespass. >> She's going to go for trespass and interference. After finally restraining her, the officers tried talking to her one more time in hopes that she would finally begin to cooperate with them, but it didn't look like they were going to succeed this time either. All right, Janelle. >> Are you going to walk down or are you going to >> I'm not going to jail. >> You are. >> It's just whether you want to get more charges as we go or if you >> No, that's for you guys. The race. >> Okay. >> I've been killed by cops since I was how old? I've been in this double door lock since I was five. >> All right. >> These are my back quarters. It's the only thing. >> You just stay there then if if that's your plan. >> You won't >> until you become lucid. This is just what we're going to do. >> Lucid. Are you guys on an amid nothing but try to help everybody? All my kids. >> Were you helping us when we asked you to step out and put your hands behind your >> I didn't do nothing. I got dressed and I came out here like a civilized person. You guys tackled me >> and we told you you're going to jail. And then >> there's no reason for me to go to jail. I didn't do anything wrong >> other than criminal. >> This is no more. I have been by the cops. Cody, when I was just Cody, right, the cops found me 2 hours later dead because I was running from them. You don't call the cops on me. You got to come 100 high. She got some >> check into it. >> Yeah, obviously. >> Ouch. My neck. >> You want to Do you want to sit up? >> I would like No, my neck. >> I've actually been trying to What's wrong with your neck? Because they killed me three times in one day by calling the cops on me. >> Cuz it scared me so bad. >> Who? >> I was a 4-month old baby, a six-year-old with cancer, and I died that day. >> And Cody, >> who used to live under >> Cody Wyoming? >> No, under the bridge on 9th. >> Oh. >> The woman kept on rambling without making any sense whatsoever. She remained uncooperative throughout as the standoff continued until the officers finally got a breakthrough. >> Excuse me. We are Everybody's watching. They've been watching all day. Just sitting now right now. >> My dad's coming. >> Cuz I'm not getting arrested cuz there's no reason for me to. But I'm going to look into you like >> I think so. Yeah. >> Hey, >> that's what it feels like to me. Um >> I need to take my bag cuz people will steal it and that's all I got for clothes and [ __ ] >> I don't have nothing. And you think that you're going to put us in jail and then let us out on separate days? You're not going to keep us apart? Okay. >> I only had two people that I could be with cuz the rest would be family to me. >> Okay. >> You know >> what's wrong with your eye? Do you have pink eye? >> They're rolling out in New York and they didn't fix my skull and somebody's still stuck down there. We're still trying to get out of >> baseball. >> Yeah, cuz people will still >> Yeah. I don't know if they'll let you take it to the jail though. >> But I'm really I don't know about that. >> That's going to be too big for the bins. >> Hey Where's your shoes? Do you know? >> My shoes are down. Where did you leave my purple shoes? Why would you guys do that? You've done it to me. >> Down there. The shoes. >> They're white. >> He's looking for them. Chill out. >> Now that there's There's one bad one running around and then the rest of my kids are good. But there was one. >> Okay. >> The tendency. >> Are you going to put them on or what you plan? >> Where's my shoes at? >> I don't know. You stay sitting on the ground. >> I You're not taking my friend nowhere. You're not going. I have been They have done bad things and now they're into that peep and [ __ ] >> It's a big black bag. [Music] >> Right. >> I know that. >> And for a penny and for a pound, >> um, that's not the way that >> I can carry my back. I'll carry it. Are you going to get up and walk or what are we going to do here? >> You want to go with him? >> Well, that'll be at the police. >> Um, no. >> I'm not going to jail. >> Okay. >> There's no reason for me to go to jail. This is where I go because this is family quarters, not for your FIFA game that we've been talking about all day. Got it? Because you're in my bodies and that they're [ __ ] diseased. That's why everything sits on my star >> resting. [Music] >> The officers managed to get her down from the lobby to the parking lot. A small win, but the battle was far from over as they still had to get her to the police van. >> Guess if the judge watches my body camera, they're going to figure >> ain't going to be watching me cuz I don't go to jail. We all know that. You might as well tell them that we ain't going to jail today. >> Okay, >> this mother ain't going to touch me, [ __ ] You sleep rass mother. You need to get them some help. I know who my dad is. >> Out the door. >> All right, let's go. >> The firefighter. I know who he is. He's my son. >> I ain't going to jail. I ain't got no shoes on. >> Are you sure? >> Then you're going to come bail us out right the out. Both of us together. >> All right, partner. You're going to stay with him here and I'm going to put >> I'm going with you. [ __ ] this. >> You're going in the back of the car just having a seat. >> Nope. They're going to take him in. >> No, we're not. >> I already know cuz you're in the original cuz you're in 95. >> Just hold on. You're going to go sit in the car and chill out. Let's go. Janelle, come on. >> And nobody's >> Okay, you're just going to have a seat. Okay. >> I ain't going to Universal J. That's not what that means, you stupid ass idiot. It's because of fertility, you stupid. And you guys did it all at one time. Can you let go of my coat? >> Have a seat. >> Can you let go of my coat? >> No, I cannot have a seat. >> You bait me. >> You're going to go with him. Chill out. >> I know what happens in my life. You stupid. >> It wasn't only the woman, but also her son who had a knack of getting himself into trouble. And the officers grilled him as he seemed to be the only sane person worth questioning out of the two. >> Yeah. Yeah. I can't let her be by herself, you know, cuz people do stuff to her and [ __ ] >> Is this real or fake? >> It's fake. It's hers. >> Okay. >> I just didn't take it out. I took it from her. >> Motion picture money. Okay. So, you're bound to catch something more than a simple misdemeanor running around with that. >> Cuz inevitably somebody's going to get tempted to spend it. Yeah. Why else would we have it? Right. >> I took it from her. >> Okay. Well, obviously you're in that building. There's plenty of places to throw trash, right? >> Yeah. So, if you think you're going to get tempted by that, I would not be holding on to it cuz the day you pass that off as a real currency or she gets it back from you and tries to pass it off as real currency, your simple misdemeanor problems just got a lot bigger. Okay. Uh-huh. >> After gaining her son's confidence, the officers questioned him further about his mother, uncovering more truths that explained her bizarre behavior. >> Do you guys do drugs? >> She does. >> She does. >> She doesn't matter. I sometimes complain. >> Does she have any on her? >> No. She might have a pipe or something. >> How old are you, man? >> I'm 22. >> 22? >> Yeah. >> Is that what you foresee yourself doing the rest of your life? >> No. to be honest with you, she has some issues, like health issues, >> so I don't see her being around for like a year, like in the next year or two. So, I'm just trying to take care. I don't I don't know. >> Well, I think in your heart that's probably a good thing. >> Yeah. >> But, uh >> I just I just know what I've seen. I know what happens and [ __ ] out here. >> Not trying to make it. >> So, I I think you're trying to be a good guy >> and I'll commend you for that. But committing crime to take care of her probably isn't the answer cuz she's not exactly supporting you, right? >> No, I I support everything. >> Okay. So, how did we get in the building tonight? >> The back door >> a slider or or the >> slider. >> Okay. >> Slider back 128. >> And you obviously didn't live in that >> apartment that you went in the slider, right? because you weren't in that apartment. You decided to go all the way to the top floor. Yeah. >> Okay. >> You hear him? >> With the scene stabilized, transport procedures took priority. The officers completed their investigation and prepared to take the woman to Pulk County Jail, but not before she went on another unhinged rant. You you injured at all? >> No, I'm trying to make love to my boyfriend. Why? Why? >> Okay. Have you Have you been smoking anyite or drinking any alcohol? really, but I'd be more leveled out if I had, even though it's mandatory considering I'm so big in space, but I didn't want to leave. >> I get that. I get that. Um, not injured at all then. >> Um, well, yeah. I mean, my hips keep on breaking and New York's pulling out of my eye, which see my eye has been out for about five days and I've been asking a couple people, but it's so hard to find our family members. >> Are you diagnosed with anything at all? >> Schizophrenia or >> from from this? I'm trying to get everybody rebirth in my family. >> Yeah. Okay. Uh, did you understand? Did you understand these guys were police officers? >> No, I didn't. I don't know what they're No, that's a Fifi game, I guess. >> Did you see them? Did you see them in their police uniforms? >> No. >> The two the two gentlemen that put you in handcuffs. Did you realize that they were police officers? >> Yeah. >> You didn't know that? >> Yes. >> How How come you resisted? >> Because I don't like because you have to come 100 high on me. 3700 world seat and you guys just screw me over. My my dad, the girls are going to come cuz they let the Vancouver boys that you know are being you know who they are. >> Yeah. Janelle, >> listen. Janelle, I I want you just to listen to police officers when they talk to you so this kind of stuff doesn't happen. Okay. >> Huh? >> I don't think they heard you. Where are you hurt at? >> I want me and him undetained and let go. >> Okay. I'm going to go talk to him real quick. Okay. >> Please. >> Thanks. Yep. >> No, we're being undetained. Then I want two more officers here. >> We got two two officers here. >> Well, we're going to get two more cuz I have a double door lock. Three high, two each. >> Okay. >> All right. It's going to tight a little bit. Okay. >> Now, nope. We ain't going through this process cuz you're going to undetain us. The [ __ ] You're not. I know. John Dolan. >> Miss, you're not detained right now. >> Well, then I'm not getting arrested. >> Well, no, you're under arrest. That's what I'm saying. >> No, I'm not. I'll nuke your country. I know what we'reing with here. >> I know. I atone for 170 of them. >> Yep. And then they did Cheyenne's 80 that she him in the woods. My No, I don't [ __ ] right. This cartrite is my brother. And 94 came into it to put me in sex trafficking again. I want my dad. >> Are you doing? You got to go through your stuff. Make sure you don't have anything old. >> Why? You need a card or something. You could have just asked. >> You have a fork in here? >> No, it's a spoon I picked up off the ground. Might be expensive and old. Do you mind? >> Well, ma'am, all this is still going to go with you at the jail. Okay. >> I'm not going to jail. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. Valencia is [ __ ] >> Okay. >> Do you mind not making me feel weird? >> I can't help how you feel. You know, >> you can't help how I feel. Well, I can't help how everything makes me feel. Is this a fork in this one? >> I don't. No, wait. This is something else. >> Oh, it's my knife that I was going to whittle my wood with. You know, I had a cop pull the gun on me the other night and they arrested me as this girl. So, they're just because of the [ __ ] atonement. Dude, I'm sick of it. I ain't atonementing no more. >> Okay. How do you How do we get to your knife? It's over here. I just got to find it. >> Jesus Christ. Should probably use a zipper. You know how to do that, right? >> I'm just asking. >> I know. I know. They got you. Yeah, I know. They don't stop. >> Okay. Got any other knives on you? >> I just got it from my friend's house. You got a problem. >> I'm just trying to make sure >> Daddy. All right. Your oldest do with you when you get out of jail. Okay. >> Okay. I don't want to get out of jail. >> Okay. This way. >> Why can't you guys do anything? >> We're going to walk this way. Come on. Yeah, don't worry about it there. >> All right, you just got to watch your stuff on the way. >> I don't want to go to jail. There's no reason for me to go to jail. >> Son of a >> Watch your head. >> Just have a seat. >> Shoes. Need to get my shoes. [Music] >> You better have some shoes. >> That's hers. >> Can you get us to where the [ __ ] we need to go? >> Got her back. They got her [ __ ] done. >> I'm about to go there, bro. >> Woman was charged with interference with official acts and trespassing, while the male suspect was charged with trespassing. >> Up next, a squatter who believed she was untouchable and above the law when it came to living in someone else's home. >> Go away. >> You're not going to make us come in and arrest you, are you? [Music] >> She got you there, >> ma'am. If I go in this window, you're going to go to jail. Where you at? Oh, this is so silly, man. >> On March 5th, 2025 in Ohio, police were called after a realy company reported someone illegally staying on their property. But when officers arrived, the woman flat out refused to leave. >> Yeah, this was the window climbing in. I don't know about me, but yeah, they did bust that out. Hacker place. Yeah, hacker place. >> Why are you here? >> Why are you here? I don't know about that. >> Go away. What did >> I say? >> She said, "Go away." >> You're not going to make us come in and arrest you, are you? >> Go away. >> She got you there. >> Oh, we're not going away. Well, I mean, we weren't going to have you go through that way. I I thought you >> there there should be a lock box on the front door. >> I don't know why this is here, but I'd have to go in to open that front door for you guys to get in. This is my only way in. >> Are you going to come out here? >> No. No way. This is my house. I paid rent here. >> And who are you paying rent to? >> Well, that's not who owns the house. might actually go downstairs here. >> Well, you just got to leave the house. >> Ma'am, if I go in this window, you're going to go to jail. >> Well, you're about to go back unless you leave this house. >> The woman clung desperately to her story, insisting this was her home. But the paperwork painted a very different picture. And before long, the officers decided it was time to prove once and for all that she wasn't staying there. >> Are you wanting to sign trespass charges? Like you'll go down and do that. >> Yeah, that's fine. Shouldn't be here. I'm assuming the minute that either you guys leave or I leave, it's going to be the same thing again. >> Last chance, ma'am. >> Yeah, this one sold. >> There's no lock box. There's no way for you to get in. You can't take this off. >> I don't have any way to do that. This sold in November of last year. So, >> and you are the manager currently? >> Yeah. Well, the company work for you. >> I just called to double check and verify this is the correct address and they sent me a >> lock for the whole file. >> That's I just want to call for a dog. >> No, we're good. I'll get in. I just don't feel like it. >> Yeah. >> You're skinnier than I am. >> Sorry. I'll let you in around front. >> Ma'am, where you at? >> Oh, this is so silly, ma'am. >> Go away. >> I was in my phone. What do you want? What's your name, ma'am? >> Sana, >> why why are you in here when you shouldn't be in here? >> This is my house. >> It's not your house, ma'am. >> It is my house. >> I pay rent here. >> What do you want? >> How much rent do you pay? >> 250. >> Man, this is going to be a silly thing to go to jail over. >> What you mean to go to jail? I >> The owner The owner of this house is here and they're going to sign trespass charges on you. We've given you what? This is my house for being in a house that you don't belong in. This is my house. >> Ma'am, is this really worth going to jail for? >> I'm not going to >> You're going to go to jail. >> I pay rent. >> You don't You don't live here. You broke in. You're going to get charged with criminal trespass and go to jail. >> If you leave now, you still won't go to jail. >> Break in. I just told you to >> I'm telling I'm telling you what's going to happen. >> I told you to troll. >> I don't believe you. I'm telling you what's going to happen. >> I told you to troll. >> I heard you. >> I told you to troll. >> So, I'm thinking if I can get this whole thing out, maybe we can Get it through here. Still going to have to toss her. >> Yeah, >> at least it's not trying to go through that little window. >> Yeah. >> Blah blah. Can you please tell them to get out of our house, please? >> I think it's just her. >> It's just one >> cuz everybody went to work. >> She's been in here a while. >> No, I have not. I just came back from school. >> How'd you get in? >> On the front door. I got a key. The door didn't open. >> Cuz I locked it. Duh. >> Dumb. >> Get out. >> I'm waiting till my mom and my dad come back. >> The suspect's behavior grew more bizarre by the minute, and it became clear she was destined for jail. But just when officers thought the ordeal was over, another problem surfaced. >> Ma'am, >> no. Yes, ma'am. >> I'm not leaving out my house. >> I'm not leaving out my house. >> You are? You are? >> No, I'm not. >> Go away. Do not touch me. Ma'am, don't touch me. Do not >> leave. Do not get >> Do not touch me. Do not touch me. Do not touch me. >> Listen, we don't want to fight with you. We don't want >> This is my house. >> But you're going to have to leave. We're asking you to leave my house. Okay. Blah blah right now is killing Jazz me on. And right now, he told me to stay in here and wait until he come back. So, leave me alone. >> Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Leave me alone. I'll wait for blah blah to come back. Okay. Get off of me. Get off of me. Get off of me. Please. >> Yeah. This is why any luck, >> huh? >> No way. No way. I didn't do nothing wrong. Go away. >> You ready to stand up? One, two, three. Go. We're going to walk towards this window here. Okay. Put your foot up, please. >> You want your Need assistance or you good? >> Just watch me flop out of here. That's all. Oh god. He's way more cooperative about that than I expected. Hold my hand. There we go. >> Yeah. Way to get the these boards on. >> All right. Yep. >> Going over here. >> Don't worry about it. Walking. >> I just wanted to see his um >> She's good. >> All right. She's all right. >> I don't reason I'm asking because I be at this house sometimes. She says I have nowhere to stay. >> Oh, don't go in there anymore, man. >> Don't go in there cuz you'll get arrested. >> With the woman finally secured inside the cruiser, the officers turned their attention back to the property manager to wrap up the call once and for all. >> You're willing to go down and sign charges to the station here in a minute? 22. >> I'm thinking just passion. I'm sure everybody's been breaking into it because literally that guy that just walked by, he goes, "Oh, I've been staying there every once in a while, too, and like it just thinks it's okay." Well, don't do it again, man. >> I mean, nothing. She wasn't stealing, per se. >> She was just sitting there on the floor. >> So, I don't think we're going to There's a There was some truck parked out front here and they disappeared on you guys. >> Yeah. No, I think this is like This is like the homeless shelter right now. That's >> Yeah, upstairs. There's a air mattress. There's male shoes, female shoes. >> I guess I got to make sure they'll even take her for trespass. I mean, yeah, cuz I'm with you. She needs >> If anything, I I I mean, if she They don't take her for that. I mean, pink slipper or something like that, too. I don't know. And I know I'm assuming they're probably not in their right mind considering >> No, she's definitely not. >> There's drawers full of rocks and >> Yeah. All right, let me let me look at her in You're good if you want to head on out. >> The woman was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. Next up is the bizarre case of 22-year-old Janana Jacobs, who took the law into her own hands as she created a fake lease, moved into a three-bedroom house, and later refused to leave. >> And my girlfriend owns the house, so I don't know what you need to take up with the police. You know what? Whatever the case may be, >> I own the house, >> but yeah, >> I'm just getting frustrated cuz I'm I'm getting like And is there any way that I can like move forward with like like how would I go forward with like getting my money back, getting it? On March 2nd, 2023, officers were dispatched to what first appeared to be a routine eviction. But once they arrived, it quickly became clear that 22-year-old Jing Na Jacobs and her girlfriend had pulled something far more troubling than a simple housing dispute. >> Yes, I own this house. >> My name is Patty Peoples. I own this house. It was for sale. We came over here to let a handyman in to do some work, and he said, "Well, there's a dog and puppies on the front." >> So, we came over and These people moved in yesterday and she has a signed lease and paid $3,100 for first and last month rent and a pet deposit. >> So >> So you already talked to her. >> Yeah, she's very calm and very very polite. >> Hey, how you doing, young lady? Good morning. Hi. >> What's going on? >> So basically, um I'm 22 years old and I just moved out of the Hover House, the homeless house. My mom died 2 years ago. I've been at Hubbing House for a freaking year. I've been saving up money to get an apartment. This dude, Mr. Christopher Cross that I've been contacting, which I'm going to give you all the information that I have. He brought me to this house on about February the 15th, and he showed me the house. He walked right in the house. He came here, he unlocked that front door, came right in the house. He showed me, told me the house is for for $1,200. I mean, $1,400, excuse me. >> I think we need to talk about, unfortunately for you, the next steps because we we have an offer on the house. >> The officer instantly sensed that something about the situation wasn't quite right. Both parties seemed calm and polite at first, but then Jacob suddenly steered things in a very different direction. >> And according to my my dad is a um he sells houses. He works for One World Realy. And according to him, I contacted him um about this. So basic basically this is like that's a large amount of money that I'm going to have to get that $3,100. And he basically told me that I don't have to um >> I don't have to go. He basically told me that I don't have to go. He can he will go he will go through the court system to get me how I need to go. But he told me I don't have to leave. So it's really up to him on what he does about for y'all. But my dad said I don't have to go. He handle me from here because I paid my money to be here. So whatever the police says, then that's what we'll go. But if I'm not getting my money back today, then I'm not leaving today. Unfortunate cuz then I have no money, no place to stay. That's just not unfortunate to me. So sorry. >> Let me ask you. So you met this guy how many times? Twice? >> Three. >> Three times. >> Three times. >> What does he look like? >> Okay. So he's a white dude. He's about a little bit taller than you maybe or just a little bit taller than you. Bald guy grayish civilish goldish car if that makes sense. Like it was like all those colors in one. Like it was gray, gold, and silver all in one. Like that's the colors it was giving me. >> And what was the breakdown of the payment again? So >> it was the rent was 1,400. >> The pet deposit was 500 and security deposit was 1,200. I thought it was 600 but that was not it, 1200. And you see that he sawed off the front door handle. >> Oh, yeah. And she said that that's not even the same door handle that was on there. >> Must have sawed off the lock box and the front. >> Jacobs began offering a detailed description of the so-called man who had allegedly rented her the house. But before long, it became clear that a far darker truth was hiding beneath the surface. >> This your Oh, that's your Okay. Look, >> hold on to this. I want to be I want to be straight forward and completely honest with you and frank. All right. You're you're being you're being scammed for your home. Um this is what I believe now when I >> she's part of it. >> So play it smooth for now. I'm going explain everything to you. Okay. >> Let me see this. I'm sorry. Um so I believe that she's part of it, but I can't say for certain right now. I believe this to be one of those circumstances where she may have created a lease and came to the house and did this because there's a similar circumstance that she's involved in where it's almost the exact same thing. I believe that that's going to be the case. So I don't honestly right now she's not knowing that I'm going to play it a certain way. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> But I'm going to try to You got two options. Okay. She has to either leave and she or she has to be a victim. I'm going to do my best. It's coming in soft and then getting a little tough with it and to try to convince her that she's going to be investigated. That'll alleviate you of a lot of it because if if and but if technically I can't prove it. So she can still be a victim. >> Uhhuh. >> And it's technically would be a civil ordeal. So you will still deal the options are she either leaves on her own which I'm going to try to really convince to do. >> Yeah. >> Or you have to evict her. >> Got it. So you have you you saw that this exact same thing had happened with her prior. >> They're similar. Yes. >> Like how many years ago? Recent? >> Less than a year. >> Okay. All right. So, I'm just going to chill out and let you do your thing. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. And then I'll let you know. >> Hold on to that. That's your report number. This in incident is going to be documented. Um, >> and is there any way that I can like move forward with like like how would I go forward with like getting my money back? getting get into this dude skip my like how would I move forward about all >> I'm going to give you that information in a minute. Um so how did you come into contact with this person? >> Zillow. >> Zillow. >> Yes. >> Is that where it was listed? >> Yes. >> Is it still listed? >> No, it's not because when I went on there to show her because she said her house is for sale and I told it was for rent and I went on there to go show her cuz I've given all the information I've given you. I've tried to give her too because like very unfortunate for the both of us. >> And um >> and how are you guys communicating? through email. >> Okay. You got an email chain that I can see. >> You said email >> like Yeah. Can I see the emails? >> Oh, chain. Okay. Yeah. I'll have to go on my computer to do that cuz that's this is my iCloud. It's on my Gmail. That's why I gave you my Gmail. >> Okay. >> And I can send you if you have an email, I can send you the chain, but I will have to go in my my house and get my computer. >> Are you able to do that now? >> iCloud? Yes, I can do that now, but I'm not sent to like I can do that now, but like is this all like once I go back in and I come back out, that's going to be it? Because I have to be to work at 9:00. That's what I'm telling both of you guys. I have to be to work at 9:00 and I can send you the information that you're asking for because I'm giving you all the information I have on my phone. Anything that's on my work, I mean on my computer, I can send it to you on an email. But standing here until now, it's not going to work because I'm getting frustrated because it's been almost 2 hours. So, if you have an email that I can drop down, I understand that you want to just do air drop. So, if you have an email that I can just send to your coworker or anything else the case may be, I can send that to you because the emails was ranging between the 15th and the 28th and I can send that to you. But it's going to be 9:00 and I need to get to work. Um, >> okay. Well, this is the first time I heard about you having me be to work at 9:00. So, I understand. >> Why not? I I haven't said it because she knows. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Okay. I'm just getting frustrated because I'm I'm not You're also not allowed. You're also not allowing me to speak. I've been respectful. >> I've been respectful to you, too. >> It quickly became clear this was a scam when Jacobs fumbled for excuses about why she couldn't produce the emails from the man she claimed had rented her the house. In reality, it was the fourth time she had run the same scheme while casting herself as the victim. >> I'm about to say is this is the first time hearing about you having to be at work at 9:00. >> Even though you stated it to her, I didn't hear that because I'm not her. >> Okay? I've been in my car for your badge number. >> It's right there on the form. So, let me let me also let you let me contact in my office. >> Let me also let you know this. Okay? >> So, that's fine. I understand your your concern. Um, you're going to be investigated for fraud. Okay? >> That's perfectly fine. My daddy told me that >> if there if there is probable cause, you're going to be arrested. Okay? So, one of the options, one your big option that I think you should take, I think you and the young lady should go ahead and possibly move out because if not, then we're going to come back and we're going to take you guys to jail. >> Okay? So, according to you, >> if you have probable cause, take you to jail. >> Okay? If you have probable cause, that's fine. And um that's fine. I'm not even going to say nothing else to you because I know how this works. My uncle is also a police. So, I'm not going to say nothing else to you. I'm going to allow you to do what you do. Um I'm going to send you the information that I have. Well, I've given you information, right? All his information. I I I don't have it. I didn't receive your contact information. What is your name? >> Janette. >> You didn't receive my contact information? You mean like the >> your Yeah, by >> the number that you just sent me, right? I mean, the number I just gave you, right? >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. I haven't I haven't text back to that. Yeah. >> Um Okay. Anything else you need to tell me? Because I will be >> Yeah. And make sure you vacate the premises um as soon as you can. >> Okay. Okay. So, um y'all can come back later. Y'all can go ahead and How about y'all? How about you can actually call people here and y'all can y'all how how long is it going to take to investigate? >> As long as it needs to take. >> Okay. Because now it's going to get a little further because you're saying you're trying to arrest me for fraud when I know it's not fraud and I have money that's been giving. So now it's going to go a little further. >> I said you'll be investigating for fraud. >> No, you what you said was I need to vacate the premises because if I don't leave I'm going to be record I mean for fraud basically all because I told you that I had to be at work and I got a little upset because >> that's not why that is. >> That is that is that wasn't the what's the name? That wasn't how it was going. >> I'm not going to debate you. You can go ahead and get ready for work. >> You can come back later. You can come back later. Matter of fact, I will call other people here as well. You can call whoever going um I have your number um for all any other information. I will contact you and get um if you have an email, I can send you any other >> call information, phone number, ask for officer Smith. My badge number is right there where it says officer number. >> Mhm. Okay. >> All right. >> So, what's the next step then? Basically, it's Well, I'm going to let him tell you. >> You could choose. >> Oh, no. I'm not going to vacate. I'm going to let him investigate and do what he does. And once you find out I'm not fraud, then you can take the next steps because I can't believe that you just said that. >> I say you're going to be investigated for it. >> He what he's saying is I believe he got frustrated because he wanted me to send an email for the change of the uh >> the officer explained the consequences if it turned out the rental was fake. Jacobs didn't seem to fully grasp it at the time, but a few days later, she and her girlfriend chose to leave. Before moving out, however, the pair sold all the brand new appliances and left the house in ruins, causing $40,000 in damages. Back at the scene, the officer spoke with the frustrated homeowner who still couldn't access her own property. >> To go in the house now to look at the state of it. >> No. Technically, no. Because technically she she >> technically still could be a true victim. Technically, she does have an expectation of privacy because technically she is renting the house. >> I understand. >> The eviction process takes 30 days after the person's been served. after they after they've been served. >> Damn it. Even if even in this situation, it's 30 days >> because technically she could be telling me >> an offer on the house. >> Yeah. >> Oh my goodness gracious. >> I'm sorry. It does happen though. >> Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. >> Get this done as soon as you can. Call with one of your business lawyers today. Um tell them what's going on. You already got it documented with the police. So you've cross they going to say call the police. You've already did all that. Um look into the eviction process far to county courts and it's going to tell you everything. Google it. It's going to tell you everything you need, >> what you need, cuz you it's going to say like person's name, all that stuff. It's all going to be documented in a report. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. >> Bye. >> Good luck to you. >> Coming up, the suspect once again tried to twist the narrative, convincing the officer that she was the real victim in all of this. >> Um, so basically, so these are the numbers I need to call because I really don't appreciate how your attitude has changed. So, I'm just going to come. Me being a niece of a police. I don't know if you know my uncle name, but his name is Austin Smith. That's my uncle. Um, you probably don't know him, but I just don't like the fact that I I've given you all the information I've given you. I just told you I came out of homeless shelter. A person that comes out of homeless shelter that has a three-year-old son, this is very frustrating to them. This is very frustrating and very mindful to them. I have a car in the back that has to get told here because it does not work. So, that's very frustrating for to hear those words even come out your mouth because I just gave you all the information I could. And the only reason why I can't give you the last piece of information is because, like I said, I have to go get off my computer. If you want to stay here for the next couple minutes for me to get it, I can do that. But I've been saying for the last couple minutes and she knows that I've been telling her I have to get to work. Even when you came back and you said something about information, I said I hope it be a speedy process because I have to get to work. When she left and came back, I told her, she even asked me. She said, "Okay, well, will you be at work when I come back?" I said, "No, I don't have to be at work at 9:00." So, excuse me for thinking that you heard that I had to be to work. But this this this is frustrating. This is very frustrating. I don't I don't even do all that emotional. It's frustrating. This is $3,100 plus more that I came out of pocket that I cannot get back. And basically y'all telling me that I have to move or I cannot get my money back. Then you're telling me that basically I'm a you're not telling me that I'm a fraud, but then again you you've been nice as to me until I couldn't do that. Then you begin to call me a fraud and have an attitude. My mother just passed. I don't have nobody to help me. And my dad damn he he being a [ __ ] when he wants to do all they can do is spit out money. He's not here for me. So this is flesh greatness and for me to come tell black police and for him basically try to not even try to do anything because you were nice as you didn't do anything wrong until I told you I couldn't get those emails and I can get them for you. I just couldn't get them right now. >> Like I said you you do what you have to do because that will help me too get my money back. But all of that oh she's a fraud. She's a fraud. I don't take that lightly because my daddy will get me a lawyer and I will press I will press charges and I will do what I need to do. She tell you how she's bone rushing here. If this is my property, she shouldn't be bone rushing the in here. But I didn't make it that making that deep. You're bone rushing in here. Well, who the is in here while my child is in there? But I didn't make it a deal because at the end of the day, just like it's unfortunate for me, it's unfortunate for her because she possibly have to come out money that she probably doesn't even have. So, it's a way of both things. But, I just don't appreciate how you were so nice and so gentle until I told you I couldn't get that last piece of information, which I can. I just couldn't get it right at the moment. And I have my job calling me because I signed up for overtime that I totally forgot about and that's why I was so extreme about it because I signed up for overtime at 8:30. It's 8:55. So they were calling me. That's why I kept running in and out the house. Running in out the house so that I could talk to them without being in y'all face having to talk to you. >> But I felt like I shouldn't even have to explain none of that because I just wanted to apologize for even snapping on you. That's number one. Number two, letting you know that I did I didn't appreciate that because like I said, whether you feel like your tone changed or not, your tone changed. Your tone changed and your demeanor chang >> and I didn't I didn't appreciate that at all. But that's what I wanted to let you know. Thank you. Good luck to you. Have a good day. >> In the end, Jacobs was arrested for fraud, criminal mischief, and trespassing. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
