All right. So, what happened? >> That's why I said it's no excuse for me, honey. I understand. That's my fault. I'm not going to take blame that on nobody. Earlier today, San Dele Tariq in the Nissan truck. Uhhuh. He is my what do you call it? The primary. >> I'm the co-signer. We broke up September. I haven't had access to this car. Right. >> Uh-huh. >> What alarmed everyone was that her daughter was not properly secured in a safety seat, putting her at serious risk. >> Where was the baby in the car? >> When we pulled up, he was climbing out of the front seat. They went around to go get her and we were right behind him. We pulled up and he was literally I remember you coming in with a one male under arrest. >> He was not strapped in or anything. >> I don't know. We weren't on the stop. We came from headquarters when they asked for help. As we were coming, I guess the car on them and they said she crashed. We pulled up. >> They went around the car. We were going to follow them, but they he >> But when you when you found him, he was not strapped in or anything. Okay. Does he seem like he has any? >> I have him come in and check him out just because he wasn't >> No, of course, but I'm just saying nothing obvious. >> No, he's he's not speaking. >> Okay. >> All right. So, as we're coming down Southern, see these two cars on Perry just flying. So, they blow the red light there. We start making our way to follow him. They hit the lights. They both pull over. I'm like, "All right, cool. Get another unit out here cuz I'm not really sure what the hell's going on." Female driver with the baby's in this car. The ex, he said he's the ex-boyfriend. He might be the the father of the kid. He was back there. Stop. So, she stayed with him. I proceed up to the further up car to talk to the the guy and see what's going on. [ __ ] takes off. >> Basically brushes me. She starts taking off down this way. Get back in the car. from ripping down here. We got her disabled here. She takes off on foot. She runs towards the bar. Goes down the sidewalk into the parking lot. Tries to get in someone's car. It's like, I got money. I got money. Like rip on the door. >> Can't get out. Takes off on foot again. Goes around the thing. We catch her right by the fence over there, right by Hen whatever that is. And uh take her into custody there. >> The following exchange reveals the mother's [music] anxiety, tension, and panic, but also shows she recognized her mistakes. The intender is like, "Oh, well, if you get you got to get a record from the police station to show that he's not, you know, obligating with the thing." I called the 989 number earlier. I spoke to a man first >> and then I spoke to a lady and then a man called me back, but the phone disconnected cuz it was a Wi-Fi call. And that officer was telling me to follow him to 225. When I called, I was asking for an officer to meet me on Styus because I was in pursuit of the car because I'm never able to find this person to do what I have to do with this loan. You get what I'm saying? So, I thought if I could call you, I don't know. I don't know the law. I just know what they told me on the phone. So, I felt if I called the police station, you know what I'm saying? You know what you could do? >> What? >> Save your story. Save your story. >> I wasn't being funny with you. >> Save your story. That's what you could do right now. Right now, you're under arrest. So, you know what? All that [ __ ] you're telling me right now, >> like I said, >> is [ __ ] >> I'm a grown. >> Okay, cuz you ran off. First off, >> YOU TOOK OFF on us, put us in A PURSUIT. >> YOU crashed with all this with your child in the car. >> I'M NOT SAYING IT WAS RIGHT. I'M telling you, I'm scared. >> So, you put your son's life at risk. >> You know what it is. I will tell you, but just like you said, I messed up and I don't want you to try to use it against me. >> The only Listen, you messed up on your end. I know what I did all by yourself. Okay, >> I'm not saying that I'm perfect. I'm just telling you some real stuff, ma'am. >> 262 dispatch, you can print her out, >> ma'am. Tell some real stuff. This is what happened. >> What are they doing? See what they're doing. >> What happened in the course of my night? >> Apparently, there was a run downtown. >> Okay, >> I guess as they're coming this way, she's on the phone with this trying to advise them. >> The woman who's now under arrest. Okay. >> They pulled her over. >> Nadia pulled her over. Okay. I guess she was afraid of what the other party was going to do. So, she just continued where she struck the car over here and it >> while Naughty tried to pull her over. >> There's a little bit of >> We had We had both cars stopped. [clears throat] So, when we got the both cars stopped, I went to the the first car that had the mail occupant and then she stayed back with that car and they basically pulled up right behind each other. So, I talked to the guy like, "What's going on?" She said, "Man, she's been following me for an hour and a half this and that." The car's smoking and what not. As I'm talking to him, I ask him to get out of the car. Right as he's starting to do that, I hear that that engine rev. I turn around, she goes flying by me, like brushes off me, and then comes down to here. We jump back in the car, go to hers. I mean, she had a baby in the car, so I'm more worried about that. >> Of course, >> by the time we got up to here, she already she gets out on foot, runs, she runs into this parking lot. There was a car that was leaving, starts ripping on the door of the car that's leaving like, "I got money. I got money. Let me in." They're like, "No, take off." They leave. Uh, we get out on foot, chase her around. We get right on the corner of that fence over there. >> Mister, >> I have it as tempered. >> I called today. I called the police station. I'm not saying that what I did was right. I'm just saying I did try to go about it right before it got mad. Ma'am, ma'am, >> listen. You can ignore her. I'm about to go her right with you. You do by yourself. >> I know y'all going to arrest me. I'm not I'm not trying to talk my way out of I just want y'all to know what happened too because >> in the beginning I did do the right thing. I did exactly what the people told me to do. Ma'am, if you don't want to listen to me because of the baby, I understand that. >> Three big >> I do. Call my mom. I can give you my mom's number. The grandma. I can give you her number. >> Okay. >> I'm not listening. Mister, please. >> No. Listen. Listen. Go ahead. >> I'm not making any excuses for what I did as far as the baby being in the car. >> Okay. >> I do take full responsibility. A few hours ago, I called the 989 number to the police station. I spoke to three different people and I let them know my situation with the owner in the news and that I was asking for a cop to meet us so that we could get the paperwork. It did go left field, but I honestly tried to do the right thing. I did not mean to put my baby in jeopardy. And I know that I ran. I know I was scared. The way he >> Let's do this right now. >> The way he woke up was like, man, you got a baby in the car seat. I was >> Give me Give me a minute. Take it down. >> Just Just take some deep breaths for me. Let's get it calm down. Let us do what we got to do. We're We're going to take care of the child. We're make sure our number priority is a child right now. Can I just give you my mom? >> We're We're going to get it from you. We're going to get it from you. We're going to get him. Listen. Listen. Like I said, like I said, our number one priority, we're going to have him get checked out. We got anyone's coming to make sure he's okay. That's number one priority. >> How old is your child? >> He's 3 years old. >> He's non verbal. >> He's nonverbal. >> Is he Is the other gentleman the father? >> No, he's my ex-boyfriend. >> But is he the father of the child? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> Yes, ma'am. >> The mother explained her reasons [music] from concern for her child, legal issues to a disagreement over the vehicle with her ex and emphasized that she did not intend to cause any trouble or put anyone at risk. >> Mommy, >> relax. >> Look, look, just look at your sister, baby. Okay. Please, honey, I'm not a bad >> All right. All right. All right. >> I know I'm not a bad person. I take full responsibility. Like you got your nose up in the air at me because my baby was in that car and I do understand that. But for the most part, you can't hear me out. >> Can you give me a second? Listen, I'll listen to you. >> But right now, >> because I'm out of breath. >> Listen, that's what I'm about to tell you right now. I need you to relax, catch your breath, and I'll talk to you when we get to headquarters. How's that? Sound good to you? right now. Just It's a lot. It's a lot. We got to find somebody to pick up your child, you know. We got It's a lot involved. It's a lot involved. >> Will we have to get call DCPN first, you know, cuz your child >> at least call her so she can get ready. >> Well, we don't know cuz if your child's taken away, then you know there's really no need to call your mom. >> It really ain't all my fault. I mean, the run, like I said, I'm 36. I take full responsibility for leaving at the scene. You know, you almost you almost crashed into my partner. >> I WAS TRYING TO STOP THE CAR. IT WASN'T ME. >> You almost hit me. If I didn't move out the way and then you almost into my partner if he didn't see you and move out the way. >> Remember, like you said, remember I when he threw the probar, whatever the four-way thing when he threw it and I hit the building, whatever was in my gear, I couldn't get it out of it after that. It's not all my fault, but it is my fault. >> Have you been on any drugs today? >> I can't hear you. >> Did you take any drugs today? >> I smoked earlier. And have you drunk at all today? Did you drink anything? No drugs besides. >> It shouldn't be. >> What do you mean shouldn't be? It's yes or no. >> At that dispensary downtown. >> You bought a what? >> I bought an edible at the dispensary. I don't know. He said it was just um the PH oil, but to my knowledge, no. I don't take any. So anyway, like I was saying, all this started earlier. >> Kirk receiving. >> I I approached the car, right? This my ex-boyfriend. You you you a girl. You know how they say don't put nothing in your name for nobody. As soon as >> So all this is over the car. Yes. He said he he left me for the girl Tasha right in September. I've been taking credit after credit after credit. And each time Santander calls me, I explained to them I don't have possession of the car. I haven't had possession since a since September, right? They're like, oh, well, we need both borrowers to do anything. Call the police. That's what the lady said. She said, call the police and get the report where the car is at. I'm like, I know where he lives, but he's not there often, and I can't really, you know, go to other places without being jumped. So she was like, "Call the police. Get a report and then you can use your report." I called the police. When we was downtown, he he pulled over and he spit in my face. >> You left your shoe out there. You left the earring out there. >> I ran cuz I was going. >> So >> I was going Did you Did you But if you look at the camera, you seen I paused and he had this four-way and he started throwing a four-way at my car. That's where all the stuff STARTED CUZ IT WAS LIKE WHY YOU GOT TO HIT MY car with a four-way when I'm only asking you if you're going to be able to refinance the car out my name. Y'all can be happy. You know what I'm saying? I'mma move forward and you done took the car and I'm getting a credit here every week, every month. >> So, the car is under your name. >> It's in both of our names, but he feels like he keeps saying he's the primary. He don't understand my name is on the title and the loan. It doesn't mean that because >> Can you Can you tell Kirk to move his car, please? >> Yeah. >> Thanks. She shared her personal struggles, losing stable housing, temporarily placing her other children in [music] family care, and making daily efforts to improve her life. >> Since they said my name is on the loan, it means that I don't count. Same name. >> No, I can't do that for you. I'm I'm calling I'm not like that. Okay. Okay. I'm not going to disrespect you. Like I said, like I said, you don't have to talk to me like that either. >> YOU ALMOST KILLED AN OFFICER. SO, ABSOLUTELY, I AM GOING TO TALK TO you like THAT. I DID NOT KNOW. I WAS actually scared. >> And your own son at that. >> I was scared. I really was scared, ma'am. And I understand you going to feel the way that you feel, but at least try to be more an understanding of the situation before it got out of hand. That's all I'm asking for. >> All that over A CAR. >> NO, IT WASN'T ALL THAT OVER A CAR. It's more to it. It's a lot. Can I If I could tell you without you using against me. >> I'm not using anything against what I'm saying to you. Go ahead. Talk. Freedom of speech. You can talk. It's homeless. I just don't want it to come back up in court. Girl, if if it's okay, >> go ahead and speak. >> Is it okay if it don't come back to court? >> What if >> whatever I'm about to tell you, it's not nothing. I just don't want y'all to use it against me. >> Yes. Freedom of speech. You can say what you want. You can kind of need >> I was homeless. I gave my mom and my sister custody and my other two kids because, you know, social services don't help you when you get when you work. You got to get that cash assistance to get everything. >> Mhm. >> So, I can never get into a shelter. I've really been doing everything that I was supposed to do these last two years. I went to school. I did everything. I left because I was scared. Now, I can honestly say I did not see you. I did not see your car and >> I did not see either one of you. And I do apologize for any fear that I put in you. I did not mean any disrespect to my son either. I was really, really, really scared. >> Listen, the tall guy with the shave head, when he walked up to the car, he was like, "Huh?" And you got a baby with no car seat. I just panic. I swear to God I did. I'm I'm not I >> And I was standing right there. I know. I was standing right there. You're almost grinding over my foot. I'mma tell you what. No funny. >> Come on. You don't got TO TELL YOU. BUT I'M NOT LIKE THAT. >> CUZ YOU TRIED THAT. I WAS SCARED. I'M NOT SCARED. LISTEN, I'm going meet you there. >> You know what? You don't got to me cuz I didn't get I didn't. >> Wait. Wait one second. Can I just pull my pants up real quick? >> Sure. >> God damn. It's like soon as you get a whiff of somebody, you just That's just how you feel. >> No, no, no. You know what you did wrong. >> I AIN'T SAY THAT. I AM. I'M NOT PLAYING THE GAME WITH YOU. >> I'M NOT PLAYING THE game with you. I would never do that. It was wrong and I WAS SCARED. I FELT LIKE YOU WOULD BE SCARED. AND it came up and you said that. >> Throughout the discussion, the police emphasized the importance of legal responsibility while also listening carefully to [music] the mother's story and assessing the situation. I told you what we had to do. I understand that but you know when you stand up it comes out a little bit more faster. I'm just asking can I pick? >> They're just going to ask you for your name yet. >> Okay. I don't mind. I just want to pick. I'm on my period. Like right here. >> Let her come back. Talk to her. Answer the question. >> You know what? She seen me. She us. No more talking. She listen to >> how are you? >> Come on. She seen me with him. That's what I'm trying to tell you. She seen me with him a few months ago. I'm not listen I'm not trying to talk my way out of what happened on which this state on East State. I was scared. But I do want to say before everything happened, I did try to do the right thing and call here three different times through that to let this be known to an officer who told me to bring Tariq and the car to 225 headquarters. The the guy in the Nissan. Okay. >> I don't know who that is. >> Um he got pulled over with me. I got her. Do you mind getting the packet for me? So, let's take my I cosign. You know, I live with the breakup. Whatever that was. Bank told me that I needed to get a few police report and I called up here three different times today. >> Can we do one thing? I I need to sign you in here. >> Remember I told you that answer question. >> All right. After that. All right. What's your date of birth? Can can I spend know who that is? >> Who did you speak to? >> I don't know. It was >> It was a male. The first time I called it was a male. The second time I called it was a female. Then she said, "Hold on." And the same guy I talked to the first time, he called me back at least two, three different times before he threw the four-way at my window and I hit that building. Like I never I never came out the house to do all that. Now I understand it turned into whatever the leverage, but my whole thing was just to ask, "Can we refinance this car and can we get a police report done so I can give it to Santander Bay?" Gotcha. >> I was scared. I took the rest of it. I >> Which shirt do you want to keep on? This one or this one? One second. If you want to take this one, I made this one on cuz the one at the bottom is a bodysuit. It's not here. >> All right. So, that has to come off. One of them have to come off. You can't keep both. All right. So, if you want the bodysuit on, then this has to come off. >> Can I just ask? >> Wait, wait, wait one second. You're everywhere. I need you to focus here because I'm >> Okay. So, listen. So, I can help you. Okay. >> So, do you want this? >> Just set the top one. JUST CUZ YOU DON'T like it's not like you're not listening. I'm listening to you. You got to understand people do wrong things, but I'm help. I'm not helping. I'm not asking you. I answered your question. >> Every time I say process easy. >> Every time I say something to you, you >> No, you're just trying to talk over me and say what you want to say. I look at you and I'm like, damn, she my age. She can talk to me, right? Then the rest of the car. That's all I'm saying. >> Okay. So, I can do that. >> Respect that come with I don't have no disrespect to you. You might feel like I ran up your foot, but I swear to God. I was just scared. Did your partner scare me? I never let me do my my process. >> The mother was charged with aggravated upon a law enforcement [music] officer, resisting arrest, eluding, injuring the welfare of a child and several motor vehicle violations. Under New Jersey law, she could face a sentence ranging from 6 [music] to 22 years in prison. This situation serves as a strong reminder of personal responsibility, child [music] safety, and the importance of safety education while also reflecting the social and human challenges [music] many families face. Another mother in Illinois believed her actions were only out of concern for her child. The situation escalated when the police arrived. >> I would kill myself in this car. >> Lean forward. I'M >> SWEAR TO GOD, I WOULD KILL MYSELF. >> I'm getting you out. Lean forward. >> No, you're not. On December 31st, 2024, Akran police received a report that a vehicle had hit a residential porch. The homeowner saw the mother hurriedly leaving the car, repeatedly saying she needed to see her child. They called 911 and police quickly arrived to approach and interview her. >> Don't run. >> We're just trying to talk to you. >> Don't run. We just have a question. Don't run. Stop walking. We're going to go in cuffs. >> Okay, come here. We're just investigating the traffic. >> Strip club. Jesus Christ. It looks like you're in a car accident. Come with us really quick. No weapons or anything on you, dear. >> No. >> What's this right here? Can Can I just hold your purse real quick, dear? Do you have ID on you? >> Yes. >> Okay. Can I have your ID? >> Yes. And we don't want to have to do that. We have to put you in the back of this cruiser for our investigation. So when we open this door, quit trying to pull away and try to run >> really quick. You going to listen to this? >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you can, anything you say can or be used against court law. They're just minor. >> Send the car and we'll check on them. >> Get in there. >> Get in there. Your other option is we're going to put you in a wrap and we're gonna put you in our house. >> I just want to talk to my kids. >> I hate that. But it's a process that you have to take. Another boy in Illinois called the police on his own mother, who had once [music] promised to protect him for life. But in a moment of anger, love turned into worry and fear. >> She had pulled my hoodie over my head, pulled me down, and started back of the head. So, I to try to hit her arm to try to get her off. >> On January 5th, 2025, police received an emergency call about a family dispute between the mother and her 16-year-old son. They quickly arrived and recorded [music] conflicting statements from both sides, with the initial cause seemingly stemming from a communication conflict. >> What's going on, man? >> Please get this crazy me. She's making me seem like I'm in the wrong. Gave her an attitude. She decided to me multiple times in my not just a smack but a punch me in my head. So I swung back at her arm to try to get her off of me. I tried telling her nicely to get her off of me. She would not at all. She attacked me multiple times. >> Well, let's head back in here so I can figure out what's going on. >> Said she wants to get me up to the state. My brother said he would adopt me if that's good enough. >> Let's figure out what's going on here. Okay. >> Sheing threw my granny's asses outside. Okay, just just walk in. Sheriff's office. Hello. You mind if I step in? >> He's not coming my house. >> Okay. Well, he's he's just stand right here for me. Okay. >> Skate needs to take him. I'm done. >> All right. >> I'm done. >> Okay. Why don't you just hang tight right here? Just so I can talk to her, but I can see you and then I'll talk to you. Okay. All right. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> I first time he's been ever by me because I've had it with his disrespect and mouth. I have had it with his woman. This has been going on for months with his mouth and being disrespectful and screaming and yelling and showing me absolutely no respect. And I had it tonight. It was the final straw. I had finally had it and snapped and did I put my Yes, I did. I will not buy. Yes, I did. I put my on today because I had finally had and I want him gone from my home. The state can happen. >> Tell me. So, backtrack a little bit. There's too much going on here. Okay. So, your side of the story, what's going on? >> He was yelling and screaming earlier. I asked him numerous times because he's yelling and screaming at his game. I have asked him numerous times. This is not just today, but today it was numerous times. I asked, "Please stop yelling and screaming." Yelling and screaming gets inside me and it's just like it it really it agitates me. It irks me. Please stop. It's not necessary. Don't need to scream and yell at the game like that. It's not necessary. I mean, cuz he will like literally yell, scream, cause vile things coming out of his mouth. I asked him to stop numerous times. He continued. Then he sat there and got an attitude about his girlfriend. She has all of his hoodies. I told them, "You need to get your hoodies back. It is not my job to provide clothing for other people. You're constantly giving your clothes to this friend, that friend, and then you have no clothes. And then you're complaining. You have no clothes because you've given everything to everybody else." So then he got even more of an attitude about me saying that his girlfriend had his hoodies because she had an attitude with him about him asking for the hoodies. So then he's like, "I don't care. She could burn the damn hoodies in a minute." No, that's I've spent the money on that. I'm the one who's provided and that's not my job to provide for everyone else. You know, I'm letting your friends I'm feeding your friends. You're giving your friends your clothes. This is not my job. You're my responsibility. You're my child. They are not. And his attitude got out of control. And Lippy and I had enough with his mom and I. And then he decided he was going to square up with me and hit me back. That's when his brother came out of each other in honesty. The buffalo and and I'm not denying what I ridiculous. These two are mother anding son and they're constantly arguing getting at each other's throats 247. You know what, mom? I'm going to be real. 90% of the time a little too agitated and you get a little too licky with him back. The both of y'all are guilty. I won't deny that it does go back and forth. My name is Jamie. >> Everything was just his mouth. >> That's what started it all. His mouth. It was his face. >> In the face broke up in my I first he sat there and moved and I was going to go for his shoulder and yes it did. I will not lie. I will not deny that. Yes, it did. It for that I am sorry because that was not my intent to save you there. Don't don't try to [ __ ] >> But I'm saying for for that very >> hang tight right there for me. Okay. >> The son revealed this was not the first time tensions had [music] arisen and expressed a desire to be in a safe environment. >> Can I see your lip? >> No, it's not too bad. >> Okay. >> If she wants to get me up to the try to sugarcoat the >> Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I'm here. Let's Hey. I don't I don't need another fight going on. Okay. I'll talk to you and get your side of the story here in just a second. Okay. So, is what she said pretty much accurate? What happened? >> I tried pushing her off of me and trying to tell her to get off nicely. She had pulled my hoodie over my head, pulled me down, and started back of the head. So, I to try to hit her arm to try to get her off >> after the just arguing because you were loud with her. >> I didn't even hit her, I missed. And then my brother had gotten out here and broke us two arms. >> So, whatever he came out, he came out. You guys were mutually, but he wasn't out. >> I did not hit her at all. I long missed her arm because I was trying to get her off of me. I was like this. She had my hoodie fully over my head and I went like this and it was a short shot. Please do not let her send me this state. I've already had a >> I'm not worried about that >> time. If she wants to get rid of me, please either let my brother adopt me or I >> either him or my girlfriend's parents, they wouldn't mind. Please. She This is not the first time she put her on me. First time she has But not the first time she has put her hand. So whenever she was it like a closed fist or was it >> all closed fist? She did not me. I wouldn't have got mad if she >> and this is all over your video game >> because what she had said she had said that she was about to go off on Abby. I said no I will take that phone from me. Do not make an argument between me and my girlfriend. Please >> over the sweatshirt. >> Yeah. She had stepped up and me. So I said please do not me. And then she started. >> Police continued taking [music] statements from other family members and sought temporary care for the boy. >> Watch your hands tight here. Hang tie with deputy mentor. Okay. Whenever you I mean is this like is this you in the mouth? >> I did not him in the mouth. I was not in I did it did him in the mouth. That was not my intent. I intended to push to him in the car and it was after he squared up with me. Before then I had pushed him on the couch and he stood up and he and he up with me and that was when he got was when he put his fist up like he was going to hit me. Okay. No, you're not going to do that now. You're not going to be a 16-year-old kid thinking that you are going to put your hands on your mother. You got to understand that you >> Yes, I did. After he sat there and with me like >> Yeah, because he moved when I went and he moved and it did in his mouth. >> Who else? I was here sitting here. I haven't moved. Actually, I got up here. >> So, tell me pretty much everything that's been said pretty accurate from what you see from what he sent. Tell me how it came out. >> The both of them were looking at each other when they came out. I was trying to break it up. The fact the fact that was a mutual thing at that point. >> He was in his second by the time he got out. I was saying calm down. Calm down. >> And then came out. I think he came out before. >> I came out before I was coming to get the both of you because both of you are rid. >> So what I'm gathering is the game is loud. The game is loud. >> He was sitting there every time he lasted Fortnite as loud as you could scream as a human like he didn't care about the neighbors. He would just help her. So she was telling him stop that. Stop that. And then it was just it just kept escalating. And then the whole they kind of calmed down. Then they started talking about the the hoodies. And it just reescalated back up. He had said, you know, don't text my girlfriend that you're mad at her about the hoodies. He said he was going to break her phone. And she went up to him and like just said, you know, you're really do that over some girl. She kind of pushed him. He fell down. He got up, kind of squared, bumped into his mom. They were like really close. You know, they just started swinging at each other. I think maybe she >> You live here and he lives here. I don't live here. I'm just real. >> Let me talk to him real quick and then uh just hang tight here. >> Just want to go to my girlfriend. >> Well, we're not going to go to there right now. Can you come back out here, man? >> Come back out here until we're done. I understand you're trying to sit down, but let us do our job and then we can sit down. >> During the check, police noticed a minor on the boy's lip. Although he did not want his mother to face consequences, Illinois law requires police to [music] follow proper procedures when there is evidence of risk to a child. >> All right. So, do you have a code or something? So, you are under arrest for domestic battery. Okay. So, you have a coat or something that you want to throw on real quick? >> Yeah. And let me throw Can I throw on my gym shoes? >> Yeah. >> Just to warn you, >> do not want that young man in my arm. >> Just to warn you, they will make you take those laces out or give you slides there if you just want my slides. >> So, here's here's the deal. Unfortunat he resides here. As long as brother and him aren't going to have issues, he's going to stay here. We'll call DCFS and let them know that >> Well, that's getting me arrested. So, I've had a shitty year, please. >> He's not violating right for me. >> All right. Nothing's going to h happen tonight. >> Are they as comfortable? They're as comfortable as they can get. >> Yeah, they're fine. >> Okay. You don't have any other pockets, do you? >> All my shorts. There's pockets. >> Shorts. Okay. I need a Do you have a wallet? A phone that you want to bring with you? >> Yes. >> Is this your phone? The purple one? >> With that new bail thing, new we just go down, pick her up then? >> No, she'll have to see a judge. That's how it really changed the state of Illinois. You can't go down and bomb people up. They have to see a judge first. >> Okay. like Monday till they come in. >> Probably Monday. Yeah, with it being after midnight, she won't see a judge probably tomorrow. >> Thank you said for you to transport, but I don't think >> it's just you just transport the report. Okay, >> let's head on out. >> We'll be back in to talk to you here in just a second. >> Just for uh future reference, if you guys ask if I want to press charges. No, I don't. >> Okay, he can explain that to you here in a minute. I'll go unlock and turn my camera on. Can I go to this second car here? Okay. I'm trying not to walk in because these are slippers. >> Okay. Let's here. Let's go. We can just Yeah, >> I can just pull up over here. Okay. >> I'm trying not to slippers and no need to be colder than >> Those are nice. Did you just get them? >> Yeah. My body need a new slippers. They're 10 bucks. >> Never can go wrong with little slippers. Step on up here. So, Deputy Mesler is going to going to transport you. Okay. So, like I said, DCFS will be involved and whenever they call you, I would just talk to them about kind of what's going on. Sounds like you guys have quite the history behind it. Kind of. Has DCFS been involved? >> No, this is the first time I've gotten the cops involved actually. >> Okay. Having DCFS involved is not always a bad thing. They can give resources, especially if you're having issues with him, repeated issues. >> He just got off probation. That's uh >> unfortunately yesterday, as a matter of fact, >> unfortunately in the state of Illinois, whenever we have physical signs of a domestic, we have to arrest. Okay. Let's just I totally understand. >> Not saying that there's that's going to be the end result, but that's the way it is today. Yeah, I totally understand. >> All right, good luck to you. Okay. >> All right. I appreciate you being cooperative. Okay. >> All right. Good luck to you. >> Go straight down bat. >> Yeah. >> Yep. No problem, man. >> I didn't even think about that. >> Thank you. >> Yep. No problem, man. >> At 519, I'll be 76 to satellite with female 95. >> Police returned to the home to inform relatives about the legal process the mother could face. >> No, you're good, man. Door's open. So, I'll just kind of explain this to you real quick. In Illinois, I know you said you didn't want to press charges, Hunter. Um, in Illinois it doesn't matter if there is signs of a domestic, which there are, you have the by meaning the the a lip. >> Can I ask a question here real quick? Cuz I just recently had something. My wife and uh have been separated for a long time and then I met Jamie, right? And so I've been hanging over here. Well, sheed me in my trailer the other day. Sheriff's came out. Nobody got arrested. >> I I don't know. I don't know the facts of that. I can't speak for what happened at that case. And I don't I don't know what the deputy's decision was at that point, but given the fact that you have lip, everybody's admitted she threw the first, you know, there's there's difference in disciplining your kids and getting in a fight with your kid. That's two separate things. The kid in the mouth is that's >> I don't think she meant to I think she >> doesn't matter if she did or not. She meant to hit him and she's admitted that. Doesn't matter in what way. You know, >> this whole night just kind of went I can't believe that we got to wait 10. >> Everything was calm and chill and I got everyone happy golucky and then all of a sudden hit the fan and >> here's kind of what can happen. I know you said you don't want DCFS involved. DCFS is not always everybody DCFS kind of has a stigma that they're going to take you away. >> I I want to stay with them. They care about me. Hear me out. >> The stigma means a bad rap. Every everybody thinks with DCFS it thinks that hey they're going to go take you away. >> She said they're not that bad. She's dealt with them before. >> Yeah. They're not. They're not. And honestly, they're going to give you resource. They're going to give you resources. >> So they're not going to put me in a foster home so he can get custody. >> Well, he could. Or they they may give your mom they may give your mom resources to be able to help counsel. Maybe counseling for you, counseling for your mom. I think both of you maybe some counseling together so you guys can understand each other better. Need counseling. This is coming from someone who Hey, remember when I first came back from Chicago? Remember how quickly I was like kaboom kaboom kaboom >> over the little and I went to counseling for how many do I still go kaboom? Yeah, I still blow the up but not as much and not overst things. I mean this this all we all need help and this this maybe some counseling together so you guys can help understand if both of you can understand I'm okay with anything counseling or therapy I don't care don't want to be taken I don't think you should probably worry about that >> so I'm going to tell DCFS that he's in your custody for right now okay just because I got to How old are you >> 21 forgot how old I was 23 >> so you're old enough you can take care of him there's No issues with that, right? Just I got to say, hey, who he's in custody of. If I don't do that, then I have to take you with me and then I have to place you somewhere and I don't want to have to do that. You don't want to do that. I don't want to do that. So, you're in your house. Stay in your house. You don't probably need to go to girlfriend's house tonight. Stay here. Stay here. Calm down. Let emotions calm down. Everybody else go on their own way. Just because she's getting arrested, that doesn't mean that that's, you know, she's going to get charged with it today, but that doesn't mean she's going to get convicted of it. It's basically I can't allow you guys to stay in here to the same house and then it escalated into something bigger. And that's, you know, that's kind of what we're what we're doing tonight is, for lack of better terms, we're put a band-aid on it. We're getting rid of the problem. We're separating the issue and that doesn't mean that that's the end result. That's just what we got to do tonight. Okay. Do we have any questions? >> Um, so when she see a judge tomorrow, >> probably Monday since it's after midnight, she probably won't see a judge till Monday. Any questions for me? >> That was it. >> Okay. I'm going to get out of here. Okay. All right. Okay. You guys take care. Okay. The mother faced charges of domestic battery.
