This is my home. These are my children. >> I understand that. It's your nature in this situation. >> DO NOT DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME, SIR. >> These adults were unable to fully ensure the child's safety. >> We found your child running around. >> Oh my god. >> They are lying on me. I swear to Jesus. They are lying. >> Sometimes they themselves face difficulties within their own family. >> When I see him, my daughter, I just turn into a different person. I'm like, you my baby. So, I'm turning him, but I couldn't get her. >> It wasing my mom. I said, can you stop? And that's when the children must stand up for themselves or be fortunate enough that someone caring steps in at the right moment. In a seemingly normal family, viewers witness moments of real concern. >> I'm going to dilate cuz of the light. >> Well, they're constricting and then they're dilating right back in the light. So, that's kind of weird. >> The father called 911 himself to ensure his child's safety. On December 28th, 2024, police received an emergency call from the father when his mother, the child's grandma, handled a concerning situation involving the child, raising safety concerns. Officers promptly arrived, checked the child's condition, and verified the substance and the father's information. >> Hi, how you doing? >> I just woke up. So, what's going on, man? >> So, here's the cube. Um, I don't know if y'all are have been filled in about Okay, so I've been kosher and cool with the hallucinations and the talking to people that aren't here, but I'm in there. She's been begging me to let them give let her give them a bath. So, I say, "Cool, you can run the bath water." So, she keeps coming in there asking me to, you know, step out so she can give him a bath, but I wouldn't do it. Then, all of a sudden, she comes over me, you know, cuz I'm kneelled down beside the bathtub. And she goes to stick her finger out. So, I grab her hand. I'm like, "What is that?" She's got a a piece of >> Are you sure it's a >> Yeah. She said this. She said it's I said, "Well, why are you trying to give it to the kids and then she's saying that we had a conversation and said that I told her to give it to them." >> What' you do? It's a pill. >> I didn't take I let I let her take it. I didn't take it from her. I told her to get back on her side. >> Take it. >> I don't know. This just happened maybe 10 minutes ago. The kids are getting out of the bath now. But I don't know what the protocol is. She's been checking in the attic all day for her daughter that's not missing. Has not been kidnapped. >> That's been an ongoing hallucination. But this is this is last straw cuz I don't know what it does, but I know it's not for children. >> I don't even know what is to be honest with you. >> I got painkillers. >> When police entered the home, confirming the child's safety was initially difficult due to the parents lack of cooperation. Do >> you mind if we go inside? >> Yeah, go right ahead, man. >> Hey, kiddo. We didn't get dressed yet, huh? We don't want to go outside here. Back up. Let me close the door so we can go We can get dressed. >> Do you mind if I go in? >> Oh, you check her, too. >> Thank you. >> Can you show me the meds that you you were trying to give them? Like, can you take me to where they are? What's in here? Why would I give my drone case anything? I don't want to make I thought it was white. He said it was orange and he broke off a little quarter of a quarter of it. >> So, do you do you take any prescription meds of your own? >> Yeah, I take several medications. >> Where are they at? >> They're in my room. >> Can I see them? >> What happened? >> They're getting a little bath. >> What happened? >> No, no, NO, NO. GO, GO, GO, GO, GO. Let me take my phone. >> No, no, no, no, no. You will not take my phone. So, we don't need any confrontation. I need you to go. >> Ma'am, you're But you're I understand that. >> I'm sorry. Who are you? I'm sorry. I'm their supervisor behind me. This is my home. These are my children. >> I understand that, but you're making the situation. NOW, DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME, SIR. >> Do not raise your voice to me. >> You're talking over me and I'm talking to you. >> Okay. And I'm trying to talk to you. So, you're making the situation worse. You're making the situation worse by interjecting Miss. Okay, >> you guys called us. >> We were having a a good conversation. >> You made the situation worse. So, what's his >> The child's situation added complexity. Officers took steps to ensure the child's safety and wellbeing. >> I don't even know what happened. Okay. What happened? So, what we were called about was apparently we're in the B bathroom taking a bath. She's been begging all day to give him a bath. And while he was in there, she went and got some kind of medication and attempted to do it to So, he called us. who got here and that's what we're trying to figure out right now is find out what medication she's tried to give him and what's going on. We don't know yet. We're trying to locate it right now. Said it, but what he just found was not she just got a prescription upstairs. So, we're going through her meds right now trying to figure. >> Yeah. Well, she s she sells them. She sold them. Well, I don't know if she sold them all. I doubt it cuz she is she's been in a psychosis last night. >> Okay. He needs to go to the hospital. Been getting injusted. >> How do you know? How do you know? How does anyone know? >> I was in there. >> He grabbed her hand before she could even get it in the mouth. >> Are you positive? >> No. >> What about him? Are you positive? >> Yeah, she left. >> Went there and got her back. >> I'm trying to help. >> No, you're you're going to tell DCF and heard she needs to go and have we take her. You're taking her. Okay. Listen. Listen, you're taking me. I'm trying to help you. Let's Let's go outside. We want to go outside. So, by her trying to shove, I was in my kid's mouth. >> Yes, I understand. >> You can't take her. >> I didn't say we could. >> You just said we can't take her. >> You said by taking her. >> No, I said is it even when we take I know you're upset and I'm not I'm trying not to escalate. I absolutely understand. I'm just trying to do my job by getting the information that I need so we can take care of this. >> Now, did you get our kids taken away? She's already called saying that there's imaginary kids in my attic that are being a sad she dude. I'm freaking out. Understand myself. >> And now we got to deal with DCF. Like I don't have enough going on in my damn life. She can't be here anymore. She cannot come back here. Especially, you know, we're going to have a DCF case. Hell no. She has to go. No, you don't. Cuz you don't deal with that side of things. You deal with this side of things. You don't deal with that. I've been the children in this situation my whole damn life. Okay. I've worked, you know, I've worked with the children. I've worked in the mental hospitals and the regular hospitals and Yeah. No, this is for me. Out of all the people, that's what you get for helping someone out. >> I know that she's wearing a bracelet or an anklet thing, whatever. Is she um on probation? How arrest? What she got? >> Both. Yeah. >> Both. Yeah. Okay. >> For his safety, I just want to make sure you nothing. He's been with me under my supervision all day. I let her run his bath water and then when I went in there to put him in the bathtub, she come out and then she come back in and I was kneelled and she ratched over me, went to shove it in his mouth and said, "Here, baby." And I grabbed her hand and I said, "What are you trying to give him?" And she said, "So, you didn't you didn't take any any medication today, right? Any medicines?" No, nothing. Cuz if you did, that's okay. We would we would just need to take you to the doctor so they could look at you. But you didn't take nothing. Okay. All right. >> It's a prescription medication. I just don't really know what it does except >> it's like help I guess with it. >> Well, and what's the other one? The other thing. >> It's It's one It's one thing. It's just It's just >> How old are you, buddy? Four. >> Four. What about the other one? It was It was only for the four-year-old. >> Four-year-old and 2-year-old. >> Okay. But the 2-year-old was not involved. >> No. No. She They were in the bathtub. She The only one she was trying to give to was him. And that's as far as it got. to foury old. >> Okay. >> A conversation with the mother revealed that the grandmother had significant emotional challenges and her behavior raised concern for the child prompting the father to act quickly. >> Has it just been like an ongoing thing with her? Has it just like never stopped like the hallucinations and stuff like that? >> She was doing really well yesterday or the day before like she after you guys came she had another episode. They wouldn't take her. They wouldn't take her anywhere even though you know she put her hands on me and whatnot whatever they wouldn't take her. So, she's been staying here. She's been refusing to take her medication. And then I don't know how the she keeps getting all this prescribed to her, but I guess she has a friend. She told me that she uh that like wants to buy it from her, so he will like pay for her like appointment or whatever you have to do to get it. She did that the other day. She went and picked up her prescription. I said, "How did you do that? You've been off with that. Like, why would you even restart taking that?" You know, it doesn't even make sense. You're doing really well. I don't know what the hell she did. She cuz she can leave, you know. She left and like went and did all that. Pretty sure she sold him like most of them or or all of them. I don't know. Probably took one or she she did tell me she took one and um I assume while she was gone she got a hold of some kind of like track or something some some kind of stimulant because I've noticed her pattern. Pretty sure she like spins out in this psychosis when she mixes. Pretty sure that's what I've narrowed it down to. So she's she's making drugs or she makes her medications with >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> We're about to buy a house which I haven't even talked to them and like she can't I hate it because she she doesn't have anyone else and like I know she's not in her right mind. I know I just can't have her in my life though. She my you know like damn I'm very proud of who I am today cuz she has put me through hell my whole life. She's a me. She's let other men she's sold me. I was like, "Dude, she is very very very lucky. I am who I am and I'm forgiving. You know, I opened my home to her and you know, I'm not I'm really just having like regret and guilt because she, you know, I didn't I never I don't know. >> She's not your responsibility, right? >> Yeah, she's you got your own kids, your own life, and she's starting to impede on that. And it's for sure >> well beyond your rights to remove her from your life. You don't owe her anything. >> No, we don't. You deserve so much better than to have us here constantly. And your kids don't deserve this either. If she can't take care of herself, that's on her because you can take care of yourself and she raised you. >> Literally. >> No, she didn't. The street raised. >> Well, you know what I mean. She birthed you and kept you around, I guess. But you're completely capable of taking care of herself. She should be able to do the same. >> But if she can't, that's on her. That's her responsibility. >> Yeah, you're right. When we moved, I didn't want her to come anyway. >> So, this is this is good. But like that's scary. Like I don't know what like I don't know that like if it was him like he would have eaten it. He probably would have spit it out but he would have chewed it up. >> Probably the same thing. Like honestly probably and that's scary. >> They trust anybody. They don't know yet. I can understand your fears. Absolutely. And if you still want to take them to the hospital just to make sure that's completely up to you. >> They mean to give you medicine. Tell mama. Hey. He's saying Mhm. Did you eat some medicine? Yes, you did. Did you guys like like examine them at all or? >> No, ma'am. We have not yet cuz Wait, your husband. Do you want me to hold the flashlight for you? >> Yeah. Um, your husband said that he didn't ingest it. He grabbed your hand before he even put it in her mouth. They seem to be I mean, they're running around naked when we got here. So, >> yeah, I heard him say on the phone. >> I'm going to dilate cuz of the light. >> Well, they're constricting and then they're dilating right back in the light. So, that's kind of weird >> because they should stay constricted in the light. Do you want me to have EMS or a fire department come look at them just in case? I have no problems doing that if it makes make sure the kids are okay. >> No, because they they I don't want them in a hospital. First responders, I I already know what they can do. He's like he's he looks like he's like starting to fall asleep or something. >> After the investigation, authorities held the grandmother accountable according to the law. >> We can actually take her for for what she did. So, Bill's working on that, but we're going to at a minimum arrest her for contributing to the delinquency of the minor cuz you can't just try to feed a kid. Yeah, it doesn't look good. >> We're at least going to take her for that. >> Was able to get parents and kids to go into a different room so we can do this inside. Okay. >> I just rather not. >> Yeah. >> Am I getting arrested? >> Go out. Can you go outside with these officers real quick? >> Yeah. >> All right. So, turn around for me. >> When am I getting Am I getting arrested? >> You're being placed under arrest for delicacy of a minor. >> Are you serious? I asked him. He's lying. >> Turn. >> I'm turning. They They are lying on me. I swear to Jesus. They are lying. Can I hit one time first? >> No. >> How are you going to hit it? >> Put it down. >> Put it down. Leave it. >> My daughter paid to have me arrested again. >> Okay. She didn't >> take me to jail right now. >> Tried to give a to a child. >> No, I did not. >> So, do you have anything on your person you can't take him to jail? No. Cuz you will get a felony in jail. >> No, I don't. You wear shorts underneath this. I did not understand that I called him in there and asked him to sit in there with him while I went and got it for him. Why would I? I wouldn't I wouldn't do that. We're just taking their word because they paid you. They are arresting me right now because you said that. Because my daughter and son-in-law are saying that I tried to my grandkid, which is a baldfaced lie. I was giving them. >> Thank you. >> Welcome. >> Given the seriousness of the situation, police informed the parents that the children's advocacy center, CAC, would take over the case, ensuring the child and family safety. As of right now, we're going to charge her with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for attempting to give your child a prescription pill. We are going to try to continue to find more that we can charge her with at this time, but that's our basis for arresting her right now. That's all we have. >> I cannot believe she did that. >> Okay. Well, what's so like what's the plan with DCF because it all it all depends on how you guys write your report. >> Essentially, it's going to be that exactly how it is. I mean, I'm not going to write the report. Um, I believe Davis is I hope I may not. No, our pico's not gonna write her report. It'll be Davis. Oh, Sasha, come here. Sasha, come here. >> Uh, Sergeant McClendon would like to speak. >> Yeah. Who's been there? >> He just asked me. >> What did the dad say to do with the pill? >> Do with the What are the pills? >> The pill that she tried to give to the kid. >> She told him to >> Oh, you're breaking up. >> Give it to the dog. It's not going to all >> We need to get >> to the Children's Advocacy Center dinner. >> Yeah, but no one's taking him without me. So, I mean, he's not going to be interviewed without me. I wasn't here, so >> that's not going to happen. No, I mean I'm more than happy to bring him up there, but no one's going to take my child that I don't know in another room without me present. >> Just leave me down there. >> Okay, they are Are they going to take him? Be honest with nobody's taking your kid away from me. DC is not even the CAC. It's not DCF. >> Yeah, but there's I'm still going to have to deal with him, too. But other than my kid overdosing. No, you actually won't have to deal with DCF. I'll explain all >> that you have. Like I said, don't panic. It's not a big deal. As far as dealing with me, it's not a DCF issue >> because she's not a custodial car for the kid. She's not a guardian. >> As long as we remember her from the home, >> you don't have to worry about it. You get what I'm saying? >> Yeah. Okay. >> Makes sense. >> So that's like I said, there's nothing down there wants to do. >> Okay. She's going for child, not the delinquency of a minor. >> Oh. >> So, that's going to be her charge for tonight. I know that she's your mom and all the feelings and stuff that go along with that, but and I'm not telling you what to do. You don't have to do this. >> She's never going to enter this home again. >> If that's something that you're wanting to pursue. >> Yeah, we're about to >> We're about to buy a house. I don't want her to tell you. Throughout the process, the mother remained calm, demonstrating responsibility and care, prioritizing the child's care over personal emotions. >> You ask what he told her to do. >> Shard of the pill. >> Yeah. >> So, what he said was, "Well, if it's not for the kids, then give it to the dog." >> Okay. That's what she just told. First, she said in the trash, so I guess the dog Well, I just wanted it for evidence cuz I was about to dig through that whole trash can. >> Yeah. So, at first she said she put it in the trash cuz I was there for that. And then when I walked back out, Hogan was saying the dog was given the meds. And I was like, "What?" And he's like, "Yeah, I told her like it's trying to give it to my kids and it's not gonna prove it by giving it to your dog." >> Because that's what I asked her what she did with it cuz I was going to go in there and dig through the trash to find it. And she said that he told her to give it to the dog and she did. I can't have it. I don't have evidence. >> Unless you want to dig through the dog's poop. >> It'll be dissolved by the time. >> I have some questions. >> Well, you would need to evict her from here. So have her legal leave. We can't since she's resident. We can't tell her to leave. But if you go on Monday to the courthouse, fill out all the paperwork, make sure that you mention this incident. Officer Havch check will get you a case number, write the case number on the report or the eviction thing so that they can try to do for like an emergency eviction. >> What I'm going to do is I'm going to go to the car and write down every single case number that I have with you and and her obviously and you can take that with you. That'll help you a lot. >> So she'll probably have a bomb. >> That's up to the judge. >> Okay. Well, probably not actually. She's on parole. >> Yeah, if she's on parole, she's probably not going to get out. >> Yeah, she's probably not. She's probably going to be in there until we move. You know what I'm saying? She's not on the lease. Nobody going to eat. Like I talked to her probation officer. I said, "Hey, like the last time I said, "Hey, like she can't come back here." And he's like, "That's perfectly fine. That's your decision." You know, blah blah blah. And then she shows back up and I'm like, but anyway, so in saying that, what like legally like her stuff and her dogs, like I'm not taking that with me. I mean, if it's not your property, what do I do with it? >> Not your property. my irresponsibility. >> So, the dogs, I would say turn them over to animal control if that's the case. That way, they have somewhere and you're not left alone, which I mean, obviously, you would never do that, but animal control will probably be your best bet for the dogs. Um, her property, I mean, it's not your property, it's not your responsibility. So, if you'd like to leave it here, if if that's a possibility, absolutely. If you'd like to leave it on the porch, I mean, you can't really I mean, the problem with that is like you can't take it without her permission because that's stuff, but you also can't necessarily it on her behalf. You know what I mean? ending up by being in jail regardless, >> right? >> I know that she might have one friend who like will hold on to her stuff for her. >> If that's the case, then I mean, >> I just don't want to get in trouble or something for I mean, she doesn't really she doesn't have much. But did y'all like search in the garage? >> I was with you in the first time, so I didn't do anything. I'm not sure what they did. I know. >> I don't want my kids in there anyway, but um I >> probably for the best. >> Oh, no. Yeah, cuz there's no I've never caught her doing anything. Well, but yeah, I know. I know. They did not need to go in there. >> I'm sorry that we're here, but I'm glad we are. >> Yeah, me too. I can't believe it. >> The grandmother faced charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child, and parole violation. Under Georgia law, she could face 16 to 20 years in prison and over $5,000 in fines. This case reminds us that adults must protect children and make their best interests the top priority, even in complicated family situations. No one expected that a single 911 call from a teenage girl could help protect a mother and a young baby. >> And every time I try to come to make sure agreement with her, it's not the first time the police been involved. >> On June 16th, 2024, police received a call from a 13-year-old girl reporting that her mother was facing a concerning situation at home involving her partner. While trying to help, the girl and her 11-month-old sibling were also involved in the incident. Officers responded quickly, focusing on ensuring the safety of both the mother and the children. >> My sister called. Where she's at? Where she at? Hello. What's going on? >> My sister died. She left for my sister. He was just putting his hands on me and my mom. >> Where at? >> In the living room. >> Where's your mom? >> She went to look at my sister. His girlfriend. >> Is your mom wearing all black? Yeah. >> Yeah, that's her right there. >> How old are you? >> I'm 13. >> How old are you? >> He just woke up. >> Is anyone else home? >> No, just me and my mom. >> You weren't awake for anything? >> Mm-m. house. >> No. Okay. What's your name? All right. And who's this guy to you? >> He's my sister's dad. >> Does he live here? >> No. >> Have you guys ever lived as a family together? >> Yes. >> Okay. Where did he hit you? >> Like Yeah. He's like this. He's like >> He grabbed you around the neck. >> Yes. Like he me on to my mom. >> Okay. Did you ever lose consciousness? No. >> Do you want to get checked out by the fire department? >> No. Mom, >> she's okay. >> Do you want to get checked out by the fire department? Mom, >> me and my eyes are No. Okay. Okay. Mom, what's your name? Same last name. >> Yeah, he took my baby. She don't have He is the dad, but she doesn't have no bottle, no clothes. >> How old is she? >> 11 months. >> Is it his daughter, too? >> Yeah, but she doesn't have nothing. He just took her. >> Is he in a car? >> He walked around the corner. >> Where does he stay at? >> Like right here at the corner house. That blue house. >> You know the address where he went? >> I know that's where he went. I went chasing him trying to get my daughter who's Davis. >> Are you guys married? No. have a baby together. >> Just a baby. Is he parents? Anyone else here? So, just that baby. Wait, where's that baby during all this? >> First, she was on the couch. She picked her up. She picked my baby up. He grabbed my baby from her. Well, they was tustling and she was like, "No, don't my mommy holding my baby, telling him not to hit her, not to hit me." So, he's grabbing her. Give me my baby. Fighting me while he had my baby in his hand. So, that's where our daughter was this whole time. >> Okay. So in his hand while he was doing all this >> in both of their hands when he purchased was on the couch. >> Okay. All right. What's his name? >> My Craig. Yeah. >> Craig Davis. >> Does he work for the city? >> No. >> And do you guys have any custody agreement? >> No. So Okay. Where did he shoot you in that? >> In my eye. >> In your eye. >> Yeah. >> And what about the stuff on your knee? >> I was duting from him while he was >> It started inside and ended out here. >> The reason why is because he have my baby. I wanted to get her back. She's crying for me. reaches for me. He can take her. He can take her. >> But she doesn't have no bottle. Nothing. >> Take a picture of you real quick. >> Can you put both your arms out? >> All right. Can you put your leg out, too? >> Okay. All right. Mom, can you go over here for a second? The mother described concerning behavior from her partner, highlighting the moment her daughter acted to keep her safe, underscoring the importance of teaching children how to respond in risky situations. >> Walk me through everything that happened. >> Okay, we broke up. We were on in the midst of getting back together. He just a liar. Don't trust him. Whatever. He come here 20 minutes, not long ago. Come here. I'm telling him like, "It's not going to work. Leave." He get mad. He put my daughter on the couch. He was like, "Okay, I'mma leave." So, we ended up arguing from there. He hit me. So when he >> how did he me in my head? >> Open hand, closed fist, left or right hand that when he hit you in the eye. >> No, he me in the eye over there over there cuz I went over there to get my my daughter. So when he hit me, my daughter came out of the room and she was like, "No, don't hit my mommy." And he put my little baby on the couch. My daughter grabbed my little baby and he was like, "You know, I'm going to take her." He grabbed she's his daughter and he was like, "You know, I'm leaving." So I'm like, "No, you're not leaving with my baby. Not this time of night." And plus, she don't have nothing. He goes over there. We walking over there. I'm like, "You my baby. He's selling out." Whatever. He He called me a dog. I said, "Your grandma a dog." He didn't like that. And he struggled me and he we still argue. Still arguing. He's still hanging on me. That's how I feeling this. And he >> And that was all over there. >> Over there. He pulled my wig off. He had my hair right now. He pulled my wig off and he walked off and I walked. >> That's when you were walking back this way. So what happened here? That's when he picked up the baby. And what else? >> Okay. So told him to leave. He was leaving. I was by the front door. He came by the front door. going. He put our baby down was prior to him getting to the front door. He's like, "He going to leave then." I don't know why I was at the door. I don't know what we was arguing about, but he hit me at the door. My daughter came out of the room. When he hit me, I'm grabbing his shirt. His shirt is in the house cuz he's bigger than me. He can me. So, he's bigger than me. So, I'm come out the room, grab our daughter. She's like, "Don't my mommy cuz he's on top of me, but I still got his shirt." And he was like, "Okay." >> On top of you on the ground or >> couch on the couch. Go on top of me on the couch. And he was like like don't do this in front of her. Don't do this in front of her. So I'm like he already hit me officer. So I grab a bag of food and I swing it but it missed him. He grabbed like then my daughter grabbed our baby. She's in the middle of us. He grabbing my baby and she's in the middle of us. She's standing up. I'm on the couch. She's standing up. He's grabbing her doing whatever. I know he hit her and he's like give me my baby. Give me my baby. When I see him my daughter, I just turn into a different person. I'm like you had my baby. So I'm trying to hit him but I couldn't hit him. So then that's where >> that's when he left. Has he ever lived here with you guys as a family? >> Yes. >> This is his house. >> Okay. >> He owns this house. >> So he has lived your name >> here. You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. >> I do understand your rights. >> I do understand my rights. >> You got these rights in mind. Do you wish to speak to me? >> Sure. I'll have a casual conversation with you. I I have a couple of questions. Are you placing me under arrest? >> This is just an interview. >> Okay. Okay. Well, okay. >> Like I said, we were here the other day. We just had a brief conversation >> about the that your kid sustained your son. So, can you just go back to that day about how the came about on your son? We were all messing around. What I mean, you guys have been in here. >> Camera recording >> the room right back here. It's got two little trampolines in it. Whatever day it was, we were jumping around back there, messing around, jumping on the bean bag chairs, messing around. Was jumping, kind of fell, hit the hit the ground. No crying, no nothing. I mean, it was just right there. >> Did you see him? >> Did you see him? >> I mean, to say see him, I was in the same room, but it was just like we're, you know, he didn't get up crying. He >> was in the same room. >> I'm sorry. >> Who was in the same room? >> Uh, from my recollection, it was just kind of me and Sean and Aaron. We're just goofing around. We've got a little play castle and stuff in there. So, we just kind of go between the rows. >> That's about as much as I can tell you, you know. >> Do you know exactly when this happened? When he fell. >> Sorry. Do you remember when he fell? >> Like the day? >> I really don't. Uh-uh. >> Do you remember when when your child went back to the mom's house? >> On Sunday. We swapped Sunday. Sunday. >> So, my understanding is this. He fell the day days before he How long did you have him? >> A week. From Sunday to Sunday. What's your name again? >> My name Rodriguez. >> Okay. Okay. Yeah. I've got two children. You have children? >> Maybe. >> Okay. Well, if you ever do have be fortunate to have kids, you know, um you know, they fall and they rub the house play. He climbs and you are in the house. We have a lot of stuff that they climb on and stuff. So, we're kind of used to him doing that and and he falls and stuff like that. So, Aaron, I just have this joke that, you know, Sean falls in more than one day than Aaron falls in his whole career. And I think I said that last time. All I really have to add to kind of whatever statement I made. As the investigation continued, he gave vague explanations and could not recall exact dates and times. Police were concerned that the visible signs did not seem consistent with typical accidents. They took appropriate legal action. >> When he fell, did you do anything to him, as in render him any aid or ice? >> From my person, he fell, rolled over, were all goofing around. He didn't even cry. >> So, he didn't complain of any. >> Did you see any on his face? It might have been a little red, but it looked during the evening it got got redder. It wasn't He didn't complain about it at all. >> Would you say that it got in? >> No, not not really. And it was just >> after the incident, after you saw, did you take them to a doctor? >> No. >> Okay. You didn't? >> No. Well, I guess I don't know whether they have kids or not, but >> I'll tell you, I do have kids and I know what to do if something like that happens. >> Yeah. Something like What happened? >> If a child falls or something like that, I would >> say kids cuz kids fall alive, you know. Um anyway, I did what I thought was was prudent and pertinent. You know, if there's something wrong with him, you know, we we take care of that. I didn't find any need for >> that's that's what I was asking is what how did you take care of it? >> Just it's just it's like one of the little that you get, you know. I mean, we, you know, we had a pea bath that night and, you know, just when they handed him off and I was telling, uh, mommy about the, you know, uh, Erin's braids and I said, Sean fell his face. She and she does this every single time when we meet. She's very fussy, you know, and I just try to be a good guy and go, "Hey, what else you need?" I write my check and I come home and and I'm a peaceful guy. >> However, there were more than justes. There was there was significant discoloration to his to his face here and also to his chest. Um, so it's something that will be noticeable. >> Um, we did not take him to the hospital or to the doctor to be checked out for um, that was sustained. >> There was no significant bruising when we >> Yeah, I I I so I didn't notice any significant bruising. I all I saw was on on the face that and it wasn't, you know, listen, I know know that kid pretty good, you know. >> Well, we understand that, but there's some certain requirements in the state of law. No, >> with that in mind, I do have probable cause to just put you under arrest. Okay. All right. Just put your hands together as if you're playing, please. Okay. >> I'll explain everything to you in a minute on >> He has a lot of things. >> Can he get some slippers or something? >> Can he go to the bathroom and put the bathroom? This is not or we would have I would have said no and we would have asked to speak to an attorney and you lied. That's disappointing. Literally said this is an interview. This is not an arrest. He asked you that. >> I asked you that. >> But you I I regime your rights. I I did ask I said are you arrested? I asked you that. I said >> it was an interview and based based >> and you said you said >> this was an interview. I told you that this was >> okay. I'm not mad at you. I'm just So listen, I'm not resisting or anything. So can I make >> We'll get We'll get some shoes for you and everything and I'll let you choose the rest once we get to the >> We'll take your property. That way it makes it easier. >> You have anything in your pocket that you might want to leave here at the house? >> I got my first little just a >> That's it. I can take what's her name. >> So, what happens from here? >> We're going to we're going to take you to the county jail to be booked in. We're going to see the judge. He's going to have first appearance in the morning, correct? >> Yes. >> First appearance in the morning. The judge will will fly out some medications that I need to take. >> They have a nurse at the jail. You can let the nurse know and they'll be able to provide you with the medication that you need. I'm going to get you some slippers and once I take you to the district, I'll let you use the bathroom. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Great. >> We'll get you some slippers.
