Please take off the customer. >> I cannot a couple days. I can't wait that long. >> Have you ever wondered how far parental irresponsibility can go? On one side, the burning Florida sun. On the other, the blur of Arizona drunkenness. But both share one thing. children left in cars. Can the law punish enough? And does conscience still exist? On a scorching afternoon in Florida, when the temperature inside a car can turn into an oven in just minutes, a mother left two children inside for over 30 minutes. >> You left two children in a car that was not running. >> On September 6th, 2023, police received an emergency call from Walmart in St. Petersburg, Florida, reporting that two children, ages three and six, had been left in a locked car with the engine running but no air conditioning. Officers rushed to the scene and confronted the mother, 30-year-old Nyakobo. Get >> your license on you. >> And this is not this is not a matter of you're not going to give it to me. It's either you're going to give it to me or I'm going to put you in handcuff. And right now I have enough to arrest you for Okay, let's not get there. Okay, you're going to add another charge. Don't give me your license cuz you're going to obstruct my investigation. So, I need your license >> for my investigation into this child. I'm standing here right now. We're standing here talking and it's hot. They're in a car. Two children, one strapped seat. It does not matter. It does not matter. That's We're past that. >> Here, here. No, you're going into handcuffs right now. Other cruisers are coming here. We're going to place you in the back of those cruisers and we'll conduct our investigation that way. We don't need to do this in front of the kids. person. >> But the mother had no intention of cooperating and showed no concern for the serious consequences of her actions, forcing police to pull out the cuffs. >> ID. >> I'm doing an investigation into a child. I said that once already. That's now my second time saying it. >> What's going to happen from this point? >> We're going to investigate right now. Okay. You're making this more difficult than it really are. >> You left children in a car. But I just want to know where we're going with this. I think that's my right to know what happened. >> Absolutely. We're investigating a child. I'm going to talk to you and question you and ask things about this. >> And I start that by identifying who I'm speaking with. >> I just want to know what are the next steps. What is the >> You're going to give me your ID. That's the next step. You are going to give me your ID. >> What is the next sir? No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. Please. Please. The next step is you're going to give me your ID. >> Okay. I just want to step over here. >> Give me your ID. >> I'm going to get No. No. No. No. Please. Please. Please. No. No. No. No. >> Stop. Stop resisting. We're going to make this work. Let go. Let go of the curse. >> Let go of the curse. >> No. No. No. Please. No. No. But I'm not going to go from there. I was just asking a question. Please >> let go of the purse. >> It doesn't be my finger. >> You're right. It doesn't. >> However, she seemed to be struggling with something, making the arrest particularly challenging. >> No, no, no, no, no. >> Let go of the purse. That's my finger. You got Let go of the purse right now. You're going to get yourself a felony. Let go. Let go of your hand. Stop position. >> Let go. Let go of your hand. Let go. Let go of your hand. Do it. >> 31. Charlie, we're 10 4 10 15. >> No. Let go of the purse. We'll talk about it afterwards. Just let go of the purse. >> All right, we'll just cut it. >> We'll just cut it. No, it's okay. We're good. We're good. >> No, no, no, no, no. I can't. >> Watch her leg. Watch her leg. Stand up. >> We're going to help you stand up. >> Can you please be patient with me? >> We're trying to You stand up. >> I can't stand up. >> She has a She has a brace on her leg. So, we're going to go back towards me and up at the same time. Ready? Two. >> Okay. I didn't see the leg. >> No. No. No. No. No. Listen now. >> They can't touch my shoulder. >> Okay. We I've tried working with you already. >> No, no, no. >> I've tried working. We're going to sit you in a car for now and then we're going to talk to you about it. >> They can't check. >> We're going to talk to you about the ID is there. >> I know. I've tried. >> No, no, no, no, no. Please. Like, come on. Like, the ID is right there. >> I know, but we tried. >> They can't take no charge, man. You don't understand. >> All I was asking was questions. >> I I answered your question. Did I not jump? >> We're going to help you walk, man. I'm going to help you walk. We're going to go this way. I will bring you to the car if you refuse to walk. >> Okay. >> She has she had the >> In the middle of the tension, a strange woman suddenly appeared wandering around the scene. >> She's in your like a wheelchair or something. We're going to do the car. >> We're going to move the car right there. >> Yep. That's okay. >> That'll work. I'll make sure nobody parks here. >> That's okay. Hey, that'll work. >> They stay there. >> They're going to stay there. We're going to talk to you just like I was talking to you before, right? You understand why you're in handcuffs now, right? >> And did I not answer that question twice? It's all on the camera. Did I or did I not answer your questions like? >> I just wanted to know what the >> I explained it to you. I said we are doing an investigation for child who left two children, one that was restrained, physically restrained, in that vehicle that was not running, no AC. Do you understand that? >> Okay. We're here to help. >> Can you take off the cuff? >> What do you What do you need? >> Then you take off the cuff. >> Take off the cuff. We can't do that right now. That's a medical device. Can't touch that. >> While you take it. All right. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Are you family, ma'am? >> No. Can I ask? You're putting me in this car just to talk to me, right? >> You're detained for this investigation. So, yes, we're going in the car. >> Okay. I'm just asking, are we going to leave the premises? >> I don't know yet. >> Can't guarant right now. We're just Right now, we're doing an in a complete investigation. >> Are you going to leave the premises? We don't have an answer for that right now. >> We'll give you all the answers >> after we complete our investigation. >> I won't be able to sit with the cuffs on. >> You have to be in handcuffs or this way and I will hand your brace. >> Please take off the cuff. >> I cannot take you out of handcuffs. You were able to drive here, right? >> You do. You need to turn around. I'm falling. I'm falling. I'm falling. I'm falling. >> Hand up on your leg. >> I'm falling this way. I can't. I'm holding you up. >> Then suddenly spoke up, making the situation even more chaotic. >> I'm holding you. >> Do you have any like ADA standards you have to follow? >> You drove here, right? Right. >> She drove here, but she also was not in handcuffs and was able to fix her brace as she's requesting. Yeah. Trying to work with >> I understand that she's actively falling. >> She's also not helping. >> Even getting the mother into the car turned into a challenge. I'm going to help you as best I can. Right here, sit down. >> I have your balance. If you want to put your right leg into the car, >> I can't do that. Let me bend the brace. >> Okay. And then I'm falling again. I I can't do this without using my hand. Please. >> We'll go ahead and take care. It's up to you. >> I'll just have her sit in that thing. That's fine. Okay. Stand up one more time. >> I can't get up. I can't get up. No. No. Please. >> Are you comfortable? >> I can't get up. Please. Please take off the cup. Please. >> Hey, do me a favor. >> I'm not going to leave. I'm not going to do anything. Please. Okay, I resist again. >> I won't. I won't. >> To the point where police had to remove the cuffs while at the same time a painful reminder of the danger the children endured echoed once again. >> Get comfortable. If you needed to lean back, do so. Okay, >> that's fine. >> All right. Okay. Now, just get comfortable. Relax. Okay. >> Okay. I can just be like this. >> Your ID is in your purse. Correct. >> Yes. >> Okay. We are going to take that now and identify you. >> Okay. Do you understand why you were just being detained? Yes or no? >> Yes. >> Thank you. You left two children in a car that was not running. One again was restrained in a child's seat. Doesn't matter for how long. It was long enough for somebody to call in. Okay. The children couldn't even open the car door on their own. Then when you come outside, you're insisting that you're going to leave and you're insisting that you're not going to give me your ID or identify yourself. >> I just And this is after I've just explained exactly what I just explained to you. Now, so now what we're going to do is we're going to continue our investigation just like I said we would. These officers are going to do that. Do you understand that? Okay. Thank you. Very much. Show me how to work. >> Can the kids please stay here? >> You can stay here for right now. I got some uh like he was saying, I got to do an investigation. Okay. >> Are you okay with me? I'm just going to make sure again. I'm going to grab your ID out of your purse. >> Can you give me my wallet to give it to you? >> Sure. >> What's your first thing? >> Whatever you want to do. Got it. >> Yep. All right. Michigan or Minnesota. The kids in the ambulance. I'll just let them know what's going on. Yeah. I just have for one second. >> Yeah, of course. Cuz if you want to go through with whatever you want to do, that's fine. >> As the situation gradually came under control, the mother grew calmer and began offering a series of excuses. >> You did that. I could charge you with battery on Leo right now. >> What? >> See that? >> That was an accident. >> No, it was not. No, it was not. I was telling you that you were squeezing my finger. That is from you. Okay. >> But I Do you see my hand? So, I couldn't walk though. I couldn't get up. That was when you were over here still standing and refused to let go of your purse. When a law enforcement officer gives you an instructions, you have to follow it. Especially when you're detained. All right. So, right now, this is one of my options. If I don't get cooperation, I'm just going to get you for battery on a law enforcement officer. >> Resisting without a battery on a law enforcement officer. >> Okay. Please make sure that we get full cooperation. Understand? >> What time did you think do you think you got here? I see you're wearing a watch. Did you check the time or anything when you got here? >> What is it? >> What time do you think? >> Say probably still 2, right? Probably like 2:25ish. >> 2:25ish >> or like Yeah. 2:20ish that time. >> Were you in the health center or were you in the actual in the Walmart store? >> I went to get water and diapers. That's all that's in the car. >> Okay. Why did you leave the children in the car? >> Because it's difficult for me to maneuver with them. I I just wanted to run in quick to grab it so we can just go. That's all. >> And you turn the car off. >> I didn't want him to press >> like accidentally put it in gear or something. >> Okay. Do you know that in the state of Florida so far this year, seven children have died in in vehicles that were turned off in this heat? >> Yeah. So, right now, >> but since children were involved, the case's seriousness couldn't be ignored. The mother was handcuffed again. >> Okay. I need you to face me and I need you to put your hands back behind your uh back. You're under arrest. Okay. And before we do this, I need you can you take this off for me cuz I don't want it to get broke. Okay. >> Yeah, we're going to we're going to get that. So, go ahead and face me. Put your hands behind your back. Right. >> Oh, what's going to happen to me now? >> You're going to go to the jail was already on. >> Uh that I don't know. It's your first app appearance before the judge will be tomorrow morning. >> Tomorrow morning? >> Yeah. >> How about my car? We're going to uh go and talk to Walmart and see if it can stay here. If it can't, then we'll uh have our uh towing company come and get it. >> And will they have to pay to get it out? >> Follow the I believe, but I don't know. I've never had to uh everybody usually works with us and I've never actually had to have them tow a vehicle for this type of thing. They've always worked with us and the vehicle's always managed because it's legally parked and it's out of the way. So, they may just allow it to stay there. It's up to Walmart on this. All right. >> So, what were any of the charges felonies? Yeah. Which one? >> The uh the two aggravated child ones. Yes. >> That's a felony. >> Yeah. >> Yes. Like I told you this year in the state of Florida, we already had seven children this exact thing being locked in a car that's not air conditioned. Your children could have misrepresenting what time you um you're misrepresenting what time you got here. >> Okay. >> And it's and you got here a lot sooner than what you were saying. You got here at right after 2 o'clock, like 2:02, according to the security video. Okay. >> The mother, Nyakobo, faced two counts of felony child abuse and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. Under Florida law, these charges could carry a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison or probation, along with fines of up to $11,000. Police also revealed that Nyakobo showed no concern for the children's well-being, yet asked for the patrol car's air conditioning to be turned on for herself. This raises the question, is remorse real or just a facade? Just when you thought the worst happened in Florida, Arizona shows up proving parental irresponsibility knows no limits. >> I just don't want my daughter to be traumatized, you know. >> On May 23rd, 2023, police got an emergency call from a gas station about a couple passed out in the front seat from alcohol with a small child beside them. They rushed to the scene and initially confronted the mother. >> Hi. >> Hello. Sorry, I'm I'm just trying to find out where we're supposed to go. >> Can you >> go down your window, you guys? Okay. >> Yeah, we're fine. >> Okay, so we just got calls that you guys are like out or something, right? >> Sorry. >> What are you doing? >> What are you doing? >> We were going to go to the pool. >> Okay. >> And then we didn't because I found out that the public pool and was looking at the swimming pools. >> Swimming holes. >> Yeah. But apparently faucet breaks the only one close to us. So, >> but you missed that. >> Do you have ID on you by chance? >> Yeah. >> You have any weapons in the vehicle? >> Absolutely not. >> Guys, I got to make sure you guys are okay. Well, you look like you're okay. Obviously, >> she's excellent. >> Well, it's a foil on the floor. >> It's an old >> It's an old thing. >> Yeah, I swear. >> I'm going to have you step out. Okay. >> Okay. Stop moving everything around. Just get out. >> Getting out. >> Can you step out for me real quick, bud? You can just my and I'll hang out with your kiddo. >> The situation quickly escalated as signs of the mother's substance use became clear. >> Okay. So, what do you guys really do? >> No, that's really what we were doing. The bag in the back is the swimming stuff. That's what we were going to do. I promise you. >> So, what's the foil? >> The foil is a bad choice that I made. We were going to the method opening in the morning. That was the plan. I swear to God it was. And right now it's my daughter just started her summer vacation. Like, I'll hand it I'll hand what we have over to you. I just want to take care of my daughter. Okay, show please. Like I don't have a record and I don't This always happens like right before you're going to change everything, right? >> So, basically, we want to prop you guys or anything in the past. >> We have in the past. >> Okay. >> Yes. But >> look, you good? >> Um, well, we just got signed up at the next front. >> Okay. >> I'm going to have you just sit in the back of the car for now. Okay. >> I can't hand it all to you. No, we'll we'll figure everything out in a second, but I just go ahead sitting back with >> So, when you go any like they hadn't smoked or actual would have been >> I'm not sure. >> When her Miranda rightites were read, the story about the dollar bill gradually came out. Yet, her explanation still failed to convince the police. that stuff off of me. Taste the chalk. Do you have anything on you? >> No. >> Nothing on you? >> I'm going to go like I can call my mom. >> We'll figure everything out. Okay. Can you just pat her down? >> All right. Sorry if you for me, please. >> All right, Whitney. >> Yeah. >> Right now. >> Even though you're not in handcuffs, you're lawfully detained. >> Okay. So, I'm going to read you something. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you understand each of your rights? >> Yes. >> What is the foil used for? >> Smoking. >> Smoking what? >> Pills. >> Pills. What kind of pills? >> Blue pill for me. >> Blue pills. What are blue pills? >> They I guess they're probably pills, right? >> Pills. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Besides the foil in there, is there anything else in there? >> There's probably an old blue pill. >> An old What? >> Any pills that we're going to find in there? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Where would those be at? >> They're in I think they're in the blue thing that's in the middle. >> In the blue thing that's in the middle. >> Can I show you in the window or do anything? >> You don't need to show me. >> Can I get my shoes? >> Go ahead. Sit in. I'll grab your shoes for you. Can I call my mom to come get my daughter? >> We'll get We'll figure that all out here in a second. Okay. >> She's probably scared me dead in the kitchen. >> Well, so I'm gonna ask then, do you think smoking along on the car with her is dangerous? >> Well, I haven't been smoking it in the car. I wouldn't do that with her in the car. They had went inside to get food and so I was trying to say no because I'm trying I was going to get rid of everything cuz we we want to get clean. Like we don't want to live like this. You know what I mean? And my neighbor, she's mentally ill and she's for the past two days has been tormenting us, pounding on my window saying that she's going to call CPS and this and that. And so we were planning on going to CMS. We just didn't make it out of the house in time today. And people wanted to go swimming and so I >> still live at the terrace. >> Yeah. And then I found out that the pools don't open till the 26th regularly. I was trying to find different swimming spots and I didn't really find anything. I opened a site that said I was in Scotland, which was weird. I was trying to find something cool, but I don't remember. >> What's What's your phone number? >> All right. Are your shoes in the on the floorboard? Yeah. What are they? These flip-flops or what? >> Really nice to have my mom put you in my daughter. >> Oh, wait. Well, we'll make that arrangement when we get there. Okay. I just got here, so I honestly don't know what we have or what's going on yet. >> Okay. >> In an attempt to explain, she turned herself into a victim of a neighbor. anything. >> So, I'm just going to be straight up. >> You'll know you are not in handcuffs. You're already right now. >> You're already right now. You're not incap. >> I see four more. >> And I see two. >> Yeah. >> You know what I'm saying? >> Yeah. >> Are you working right now? >> Just am I able to like my daughter? Can I at least hug her and kiss her and tell her? Like I said, let's get this all figured out first. Okay. >> Right before you start and do the right thing. get in trouble, right? I just don't want my daughter to be traumatized, you know, cuz our neighbors been tormenting us. Like, she's she's mentally ill, been pounding on my windows and pounding on medicines, swinging that she was going to get my daughter taken and they were going to take her ownership. She's 6 and a half. This week is her first week of the summer. That's the only child. >> Oh, yeah. >> Police checked the situation while listening to her long-winded excuses as the risk to the child was glaringly obvious. In the end, they decided to call the grandmother to take custody of the child. >> So, I'm just going to put you in back to my car just to uh I'm going to have my partner sit for real. So, nothing on you. Partner's just going to patch you down. Okay. Just chill in here for while we figure out what's going on. Okay. >> Like teddy bears. That's for you. That's yours. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. Do you like that? Cool. That's yours. What are you going to name it or her? >> Ah, you got to think of a name before we leave. >> My mom. She's just sitting over there talking to the officers. >> I want to talk to my mom. >> Just make sure. >> I have another phone. There's the one that's plugged in. >> Just my main cell phone. >> This is my two moment that >> I've got our mouse. >> Yeah. Do I need to have her now? Are we both getting arrested? >> Got to figure out >> right now. So, I'm going to tell you right now what the plan is. We're going to be searching. >> Okay. I don't want to do that with your daughter in the car. I don't want her seeing this. Right. Please. Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> Okay. She's six, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We're going to call have your mom come pick her up. >> Okay. >> Whatever happens from there happens from there. I'm not going to tell you that you're not going to get arrested cuz I don't know if you're going to get arrested or not. Okay. But >> if I do get arrested, how does that work? I never really >> We're not going to play the what if games all day, right? Okay. >> Well, yeah. No, I know. I just >> So, we can tell you a what if scenario and it can go completely. So meet us here and we can explain further when she gets here too. Okay. >> I just need to Can you please come with me so that she's fine? Thank you. Her mom is going to come pick her up so that we can do our thing in terms of jail and stuff. Let's just figure out you guys continue to be cooperative with us. Okay. Yes. Fair enough. Okay. You have any questions at this point? >> No. >> Okay. Um >> is Whitney okay? >> Who's Whitney? >> My girl. My neon. >> Yeah, she's fine. She's just sitting chilling in the dark. How is she being charged as well? >> Well, it was also on her side of the forboard as well. So, it's on both sides. I mean, unless one of you guys own up to it. You know what I'm saying? >> Okay. What's your kiddo's name? >> Yeah. Like I said, my mom's like, she's really not doing well. Like, this would be the absolute worst time for me to go to jail. >> What is she What is she? >> That's right. She turned out >> she's an alcoholic and she's just at the very kind of end of her trying to get clean, but it's a bit too late. So, >> you guys are both trying to fight your stuff, right? She's fighting the alcohol. You're fighting blues and everything right now, right? >> I feel like we're at a place now where we can be clean. >> I mean, we're great parents and we love her to death. >> I don't understand you. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> you are. But she can't be doing that stuff around her. You know what I mean? >> No. >> Yeah. Even just Okay. You have the right say against you guys. >> Yes. >> So, just give us Where does mom live with you guys? Her mom. Okay. We're in a rule. Hopefully, she won't be here too long. We just don't want to do that in front of your kid. That's not fair. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Excuses continued to be offered to justify leaving the child in the car. Do >> you have custody of her? Like full custody? >> Yeah. Is dad in the picture at all? >> Yeah, that is her dad. >> That is her dad. >> We both have full custody. >> You guys just make sure she knows that she's not getting taken away from us and that grandma's coming because >> we haven't told her anything. All I said >> our neighbor, we've been going through a lot with our neighbor and our neighbor was screaming yesterday morning. She's going to have to take my daughter away because cuz she was trying to get me to get that and I wouldn't do it. She's been threatened to say I'm calling doing it since February. She broke into my house with my grandpa's funeral thing. Came out of her room crying yesterday morning because she heard all that. I just want her to know that she's not really away from us. You know, >> she's not Yeah, we're not going to tell her anything about what's going on with this. She's sick. She doesn't need to know, right? >> Said she's sick. She doesn't need to know that. >> Yeah, she's sick. She threw up randomly. >> No, I said she's 6 years old. >> Oh, no. I said she's sick. She did just throw up though from I think she's got something to do with like you know Slim when Slim goes down we feel her stomach she's been fine all day and all of a sudden we we were driving like to throw up and she was very strange anything inside your household that she get a hold of and >> no no she's all right like no she told me she's got really bad allergies lately >> the grandmother quickly arrived to get to the bottom of the story >> so we got called here. Potential people passed out in the vehicle. Okay, we get here, there's paraphernalia and suspected what would be in the car that we saw right away. Okay, we're still figuring out what's going to go on with mom and dad and we'll kind of go from there, but we wanted obviously a familiar face with do uh the with a kiddo right now. Okay, I will say we are contacting DCS because obviously with this this is I mean is a very very very dangerous. So, we are on the phone with DCS right now and what they decide will be kind of the factor on what goes down. Okay. >> And they know there's a grandma. >> Yep. So, we we we've already told them that. So, that's what we're just trying to figure out. That's that's basically if DCS says, "Yeah, she's good to go with you," then we're going to release her to you and and go from there. But if DCS says something else, then you know, we got to got to kind of go with them. Okay. >> The little one lives at my house. >> Okay. >> Do they know that? >> Yep. Yep. Let me uh let me talk to my sergeant real quick. And then >> at this point, the child's safety became the top priority. Officers managed the scene while completing the transfer of the child to the grandmother and coordinating with DCS. >> Grab your uh grab your bear and your uh squirt gun. >> If you just want to hang out in the van and then when you you're good to go, we'll let you know. Does that work? >> Okay. >> Can I take anything out of the car >> right now? No. >> What will Can I get someone to take the car home? >> That will be figured out from from there. Okay. >> From what? We got to figure out if the car is going to be staying here. If the car is going to be staying here, then yeah, we'll we'll let you know that someone can come pick it up or if we're going to end up towing it, too. Okay. So, just go ahead and hang out. Um and then we'll let you know when you're good to go. Okay. >> In a car seat or anything like that? >> She was not. There was one in the car, but she wasn't in the car seat >> cuz it was located because it was located on the floorboard. Do you think like this child could have like easily grabbed it or accidentally ingested it or anything like that? Like was she in reach of it? I mean, she just >> she could easily crawl over the center console and get in their lap or something like that. My partners are searching where she was right now, but it was out within reach for sure if she crawled over. >> I just don't know what the response time would be, but if grandma is there and she's able to care for the baby, then that should be fine in the meantime. Are they going to be arrested, too? >> Yes. And so they all all four of them, the mom, dad, grandma, and baby or kid live in the same house. >> And grandma is able to care for the baby? >> Yes. So, she's with the baby right now, but we're just trying to make sure that you guys are coming out. But yeah, so if they get released in the morning, they're going to go back to the house. >> I want to make sure that if DCS know they don't have to come back to the house with her and I >> Okay, >> they have someplace else they can go live without being with her. >> Gotcha. Okay. Well, we already told them that you guys all live together. >> Can you let them know that they don't need to come to the house? That's a big deal. I'd appreciate it if you can let >> Here's what's going to happen. We've told them what we know at this point based off our investigation. We're going to let BCS know the baby's responding out anyways. So, we're waiting for them to let us know if they're going to respond. >> That's where we're at. We understand your concern. >> I don't want her going anywhere. She doesn't have to. And she didn't have to stay safe at my house. >> She being the little granddaughter. Is that your granddaughter? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, >> I need them to know that she will be safe and they don't have to come back to my house. But when they find that there's nothing in it, can you guys give it to my mom so it's not in a hot car and get ruined? >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Yep. >> So, you are the one that called in this uh gray Honda Civic at the Circle K earlier, correct? >> Yes. Just a quick question from you because we're still out here on scene trying to kind of figure out what we've got here. What did you observe exactly to make you want to call us? >> They were in the handicap spot. I pulled into the spot next to them. When I got out of my truck, the passenger was kind of leaning to the I guess the left. The driver was like leaning forward. I went in, I got two sodas, came out. They were still in that position. Then I noticed that there was somebody I think in the back seat. So, they all appear to be on drugs to be >> okay. >> All right. Can you do me a favor? >> Yeah. >> Put that on airplane mode and then I'm going to take that. Please. The car is going to get towed. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, it's going to be a secure lot. So, whatever isn't taken is going to be in a secure lock. Okay. >> Police searched the car and found several suspicious items, further reinforcing their initial suspicions. >> Is this Jesus? How many phones are there? >> That was on the front door. >> All right. I'm putting all phones in here in this bag. >> You serious? Really? >> Oh, is that in the back? >> Oh, yeah. They already told me apparently where some this bag is where there's some stuff. And I mean, >> did I just save this or what? >> I'm going to lose count of all this stuff. >> Lose count of all this stuff. Your car is going to get towed, >> right? As far as being bonded or bailed out, like >> that's all up to the judge. >> But aren't they able to do it even before I see a judge? Don't they set it like when they book you in? >> It's going to be So I'm pretty sure you're going to have to see a judge for this. So and then up that's up to them. >> When do I see a judge? usually. So, I'd go in with them. >> You're going to be felony charges. So, they'll be taken over to ITR tonight. >> What's that? >> It's like uh county and then they run court every however many hours. So, you don't have anything else on you that we miss, right? >> No, I see. >> So, before I start every shift, I make sure that there's nothing in here. I promise to be real. I'm just I'm just explaining that if I take you out and there's something here, it's yours. Right. >> And then if you bring anything into the jail, that's another felony.
