Out of all the things that sovereign citizens love to say, the one that has got to be the stupidest is, "I'm not driving, I'm traveling." And in this case, this lady decided to take this one all the way from beginning to end. >> How you doing? Yes. I'm Officer Gloose here with the town of Ocean Ridge. The reason why I'm pulling you over is your tag is expired. I'll need your license, registration, and insurance, please. >> Um, why are you pulling me over? >> Because your tag is expired. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Am I breaking the law? Yes, your tag is expired. >> Any crime? >> Yes, your tag is expired. >> Have a supervisor. >> So, right from the beginning, you could tell we're going down the sovereign route because of the verbiage that she's using. The average person you say, "Your tag is expired." They're like, "Oh, really? I didn't realize my tag was." Oh, yes, it's expired. I meant to get it taken care of, but already we're getting the sovereign challenges. [music] >> I am the supervisor right now. So, I'll need your license. You have a choice. Okay? And I'm going to explain this to you really probably once or twice to you, okay? I will call my supervisor, but if you fail to produce your information, >> you call your supervisor. I'm not failing to do anything. I'm asking for you. >> No. Yes, you are. >> No, I'm asking. >> It's on demand. >> I'm demanding your supervisor. >> No, you don't get to demand my supervisor. You wait >> because >> you serve the public. >> Yes. >> I didn't call at the time. I didn't hurt anybody. I'm not >> 526. Would you 56 me here? >> Most of you probably missed something really interesting right now. Let's rewind and take another look. >> I am the supervisor right now. So, I'll need your license. You have a choice, okay? And I'm going to explain this to you really probably once or twice to you. Okay? I will call my supervisor, but if you fail to produce your information, >> call your supervisor. I'm not failing to do anything. I'm asking for you. >> No. Yes, you are. >> No, I'm asking. >> It's upon demand. >> I'm demanding your supervisor. >> No, you don't get to demand my supervisor. You wait >> because >> you serve the public. >> Yes. >> I didn't call at any time. I didn't hurt anybody. I'm not >> 526. Would you 56 me here? That radio call was to the sergeant. And depending on his attitude and how he's feeling today, this can go either way. >> Now, I need your license, please. >> I'm not doing anything commercially. >> So, >> your tag is expired. >> Come here. I'll show you. >> No, >> it's right here. >> Okay. >> The fact that she doesn't want to look at it says it all because obviously she knows. So, the game is still going, but I don't think it's going to work out in her favor. >> Stay here. Don't move. You can fly. Expired vehicle registration. Driver license not bottlene. >> So is this your Jeep? >> It is not. >> Okay. I already know that. >> Right. So you >> It's still a lawful stop. >> It's lawful. >> It's a lawful stop. It's a legal stop. >> It's illegal. It's illegal or lawful. >> It's legal. And >> I'm not going to argue with you. >> I'm not arguing, sir. I'm asking you >> I'm asking you for your driver's license. You're driving your vehicle in the state of Florida and you are >> So this is a word game that sovereigns often like to play lawful and legal. They try to say that they don't mean the same exact thing when they mean exactly the same exact thing. So they say that it's lawful to do something but it's not legal or it's legal to do something and not lawful. It's just a word game. It's [music] semantics means nothing. >> So you're going to play that game? >> No, I'm not playing any game. This is my this is my freedom talking about here. >> It is. We're talking about you. >> My My sergeant's on his way. And >> we're talking about you as a public sergeant. >> My sergeant's on the way and you can talk to him. >> We can talk to him. >> Yeah. >> And I hope you know I hope you know what you're doing. >> I hope I do, too. >> I loved when I get calls like this when my officer say, "Hey, Sergeant, head this way and we'll see how this sergeant handles it." But he's in route. That's good. >> 536. I'll be going 10 9 to 7. back out real quick. >> Not right now. I'm going on a call. So, as soon as possible though, I won't hold you up long. >> Tag is expired. >> Uhhuh. and she won't prod produce her driver's license, registration, or insurance. >> Okay, >> she's traveling. >> Okay, >> I love this time when the sergeant pulls up on the scene. See, sergeants, we're like a brotherhood. And when I see the sergeant pull up, I always kind of evaluate what they're doing. I don't know this sergeant, but I know the sergeant. He looks like he has a lot of life experience. He looks like he likes his coffee at the same time every day. And if you mess around with his time, it's likely not going to go very well for you. Now, I've not worked with him, but he looks very similar to one of the prototypical sergeants that we have at our stations that I've worked with. >> Hi. >> Good. How you doing? I'm doing >> good. So, I'm the shift supervisor. This officer has conducted a lawful traffic stop. >> Is that lawful or illegal? >> It's It's a lawful traffic stop. >> It is. And what what law am I am I breaking? >> Apparently, you're >> What law? Hold on. >> Okay. Receal licensing registration. >> Uh, that has nothing to do with Okay. interesting >> because >> are you >> you're under arrest. >> Okay. For what? Why are you arresting me? Is your >> Yeah, you know what? For, right? Welcome to America. >> Wow. >> This is not This isn't >> Don't resist. >> I'm not resisting. >> Yes, you are. >> This is not even my car. I did not I was not expecting that from this sergeant, but sergeant shutdown is not a person. It's a mode. The sergeant showed up. Record time. Shut it down. He was not lying when he told those people I won't be long. >> Lock this. >> This is crazy. I hope your camera is on. >> Oh, it's on. >> Yeah. >> Hop in. 526 10:15 >> What is this place? >> The Ocean Ridge Police Department. >> This is Kha. >> Step into the cell. >> Step into the cell. >> Why step into there? Why are you putting me in here? Why am I putting it in you? >> Yes. >> I love to see this kind of realization of the cold jail cell now shining on her face of the stupidity that she played earlier. >> Why do you think I'm putting you in here? >> I Why are you putting me in here? This is absurd. >> Turn around. >> Wow. >> What you going to do is provide your driver's license. >> I don't have a driver >> or an IE. I you didn't ask for an ID. You said driver license or registration. You did not ask for an ID. >> Mhm. >> And we'll see that on camera. So, >> face the wall. >> I really was interested in this case because I've never heard of this police department before, but there are a lot of departments around this kind of size. Ocean Ridge Police Department in Florida and spending most of my year in Florida, I kind of have an inside scoop on how these departments go. They have a thing and we have a thing in policing. And the charge is not an official charge, but it's basically being a dumbass in a no dumbass zone. If freedom [music] is something that you value, this is not the place to go to play these stupid little games. >> Can someone come in here to speak with you? So, this is again how these almost always end in a jail cell. Often very cold and car getting towed a lot of times. This never works. If you someone that would potentially go down this same rabbit hole of nonsense and stupidity because this lady doesn't look like an unintelligent person but made some unintelligent choices, share the video with them so they can realize it does not work. If you're behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, you need a driver license. You're driving and traveling, but you need a
