Um, what did you have to drink at the bank bar? >> Uh, five twisted te's and one fireball shot. >> Okay. All right. On a scale of 1 to 10, one being stone cold sober and 10 being the drunkest you've ever been in your life, like you're passing a ditch, where you at right now? >> Four. >> Four. Five. >> Do you think you should be driving on a four or five? >> No, obviously not. Obviously I got pulled over for a reason. >> Yeah. So you post pony over for the high mounted brake lamp and your exhaust. >> The high mounted what? >> The third brake lamp that you don't have operable. And then your exhaust was too low. >> A third brake lamp. I should only have >> this one right here. >> That one right there. >> Back window. >> Oh god. >> Three. Your plate's also not 100% >> level which is against the state statute. But the reason I was stopping you is for the high mounted brake lamp. >> To be honest, it's not registered in that car. >> Yep. I figured out after you started >> and that's why another reason. Okay. >> And I told this officer right here right away when you handcuffed me. I said it's not registered in my name. I'm on probation. >> Is it stolen? >> No, it's not. It's You can look in the car locks right now. It's actually from Quinn Lucier, my old lady's brother. And I bought it for 500. Or is it broken at the >> No, it's just loud because you don't have a f uh not exhaust tape, but uh >> is there a hole in the exhaust? No, there's wrap like what do you call it? It's almost like a spring, but it's not a spring. It's uh I don't know what you call it. >> It's like that mesh stuff. >> Yeah, kind Yeah, it's kind of like that. >> Just just like old corroded garage launchers. You know what I mean? >> You know, like so obviously, right, we're we're in a whole big predicament because you decided to flee. Let me ask you a question. You you looked you looked right at me when you made that turn. I looked right at you. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And then I followed you and I lit you up. What was the what was the major decision? Like why did you decide you were going to flee? Like what was the >> I just saw my PO today and >> a lot. >> Okay. Are you like supposed to go back to prison if you mess up or what? >> No. >> And what's dude like we can work through a lot of things but now you know you kind of made a bed for yourself at this point >> you know. Good for it. >> Come on, man. This was this worth it. Seriously, you know, everybody else, although there wasn't a lot of traffic, you put everybody else in danger, including the girl in the car with you. Okay, you got pitted twice, right? You drove through cornfield to try to get away. Okay, you got pitted here. Uh you're I'm very happy that you complied, but I deployed my dog on you. Okay, like this is stupid, right? Can we agree? 100%. >> Okay. Do you have a valid driver's license? >> No. >> Do you have motor vehicle insurance at all? >> No, I just like I said, I changed it from a Chevy B to this. >> All right. Outside of the damage to your vehicle from us pitting you, is there any other damage that you sustained? Any crashes driving through the field or anything like that? No. >> Is she okay? >> She she seems she seems fine. Um she said that she wanted out of the car. >> 100%. How many times she tell you why she want it all? >> Like once, twice, maybe twice when I went through cornfield me. The police let me out. >> Okay. >> And I >> just didn't want to. >> If I let her out, you would have just came and got me right then and there. >> Oh yeah, man. You can't you can't run from the police. >> You're right. And I'm going through some [ __ ] >> Well, now you're about to go through even more [ __ ] because you put yourself in jail tonight. >> Yeah. >> And you don't even have to am I not even allowed to jail if you want to jail regardless. >> What kind of dope do you have in your pocket? >> Just weed. >> Just weed. Just weed. >> How much did you use of that today? >> Just maybe a half a blunt. I think I got a half blunt in my cigarette pack right now. >> Okay. When's when's the last time you smoked? >> I just left home when I was smoking right before he pulled me over and then put it out. >> Just a roach or what? >> I don't know. If you look at my cigarette pack, there's like a half a bunt left. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> And I probably got like 2 and 1/2 g maybe 2 g of weed in the in the I told him about it. >> Any any hard drugs? No meth, no coke, nothing like that inside the vehicle? >> No. No, sir. >> Okay. I only smoke weed and I drink and I only drink because I just >> What kind of liquor were you drinking us? >> Twisted tea and and I drank one shot of fireball. >> Okay. So, just the five or six twisted tees and one shot >> six Well, five twisted teas and one fireball. >> Okay. And all within the last relative >> 6 hours 3 hours 6:00 7. >> All right. All right, man. I do appreciate you talking to me, dude. But like seriously, I I I'm a reasonable guy and I would have helped you out the best I could if you would have just complied, but here we are. Okay. I'm glad that nobody got hurt. >> Are you able to call my mom? She lives literally right there, right? >> I figured you were trying to find a spot to foot bail is is that's just was my assumption. Did you hear the Did you hear the canine warnings? >> Nope. Okay. >> Did you know we had dogs? >> Well, then the fact that he said there's a cop or the whoever said >> that was me. That was me. I don't pop my dog and then when you gave up, I had to tell him to stop, which the dog was obedient, which was awesome. Okay. But dude, like seriously, man, you run the risk. That is 7 years and not letting noise. >> What are you on paper for? I know it's like burglary, but what else? >> Use your weapon and everything else. >> Okay. >> And just a bad night of drinking and you decided to make a stupid decision, right? >> Yep. >> I just broke up with an old lady and a kid and everything. >> Who's this to you then? >> Some girl that want to go to the bar. >> Okay. Where did you pick her up at? >> Oakdale. >> Okay. And did you come from Oakdale prior to the bars then? One went to Oakdale to Einstein's and then from Einstein's to Toma and then from Toma then >> How many How many drinks do you have in Einstein's? >> What do you mean? >> Did you have two maybe? I don't know. I won a jack not a jackpot but 120 bucks on slot machine or whatever. Okay. >> Cashed out and then I left and went to to hunt and had four maybe three. I don't think I had three there and three there or four there. >> You had a total of six though, right? >> Five shot. One shot and five twisted. >> Okay. All right. Um, >> I do have an open pack of twists in there, but she was cranking on them. >> Okay. >> Um, is there anything else that I need to know about what happened? You You saw my lights and sirens, right? >> 100%. >> And you knew I was a law enforcement officer and you just decided >> Yes. >> pardon my French, but [ __ ] the police and I'm going to go, right? Did you think I was just going to give up on this or what? >> Well, I ran from Elroy, if you seen my my record, obviously I ran in Elroy and they just stopped the chase. So, I thought I had to park my car and go back to my mom's right there. And >> you thought once you got down in Vernon County you'd be safe. >> Yep. >> Not the case. >> Obviously. >> Don't run. Please. In the future. Just have this be the lesson that every time that little itch you have when the cop stops you and you're like, "Oh man, I should I should run." Just don't. It a it ain't worth it. You're going to get caught. If it's not tonight, it's tomorrow. But it's the next day. >> It's not tonight. It's an hour. >> Do you get what I'm saying? Right? It's just and then you're putting your life at risk, everybody else's life at risk for weed, possibly an OBI, maybe a probation hold, maybe not, right? It wouldn't even have been, it might not even been a probation hold, honestly. >> [ __ ] It would have been >> But you you And anyways, a night in jail. A night in jail over now. >> Now, how long do you think they're going to hold you for this one? >> Going to prison for the rest of my time. >> So, now I'm right there. I think >> I Well, wait. We got some stuff to do. WP, can you is it okay if he searches your purse or you're in custody and then can you run through an OBI investigation, please? >> Yep. >> You're going to use the front of my spot. >> Do you have anything on you that's gonna stick her to both hand >> right pocket here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Let me get that out first. >> You said you didn't have no needle. >> No, I don't smoke that [ __ ] >> We're going to actually walk up to just this squad car right here. >> Can I get my shoes? Y for you here. >> You don't got nothing tucked in there for us. >> I might have a cart in my car for like THC for obviously whatever and some other [ __ ] is that [ __ ] >> Dude, I was crying. I was really scared actually. I never go do that at the bar. >> Yeah, stop the bar and I'm not stopping. I was like, "Well, >> what do you mean now?" >> You're going to eventually. >> Huh? >> What's going on? >> We were just involved in a pursuit, so we'd appreciate it if you >> head back home. >> They're just taking care of their side of stuff. [Applause] You just woke me up. >> Hey, real though. Can >> I have a blanket on the back, too? Or what? >> Hold on. Okay. >> I'm sorry. I'm just You see me? I'm so cold. >> Yeah, we got to figure this out though. You know, can I sit in the back? >> I mean, come on. Is that wrong? >> You just got to be quiet not to be quiet. >> My girl gets a little antsy. the crowd pointing. Don't you love that? >> Well, there's like 400 people in Ontario. This is probably the most exciting thing that's going to happen. >> You're right. Other than >> Thanks. >> This is my kid. >> Which one? >> Tyler. >> The the male. >> Tyler. >> That guy. >> I don't know where the >> one up there. >> Yeah, that's my son, I think. >> So, I can answer relative questions. Obviously, I'm going to give you these spec specifics out um as he's an adult. Okay. He's currently under arrest, so he's not going to be going anywhere right now. What do you want to know that I can answer for you? >> What the hell did he do? >> He fled from a traffic stop in the city of Toma all the way down to here. He was pitted twice. He ran on foot. He was taken down right there. So, his passenger um she didn't want to be in the car, she wanted out, but he kept going. passenger. >> I forget her name. Young girl from Oakdale. Girl from Oakdale. >> Who's the passenger? Tyler. >> Did Iing tell you to come home? >> So, he's he's been drinking. He's got some stuff he's going to work through. He's going to jail. That's real. >> He's going back to prison. >> No. >> So, um can I get your phone number? And can I give that? Does he have your phone number? Does he know it by heart? >> No. >> Okay. Can I grab We're going to tow it, buddy. >> You're going to tow it? Yes. He's using the commission of a crime. >> I live right there. >> He's using the commission of a crime or tow it. >> Um, what's your phone number? >> You guys live here? He lives here. >> Yeah. >> What company from Vernon County do you want to tow the car? It's going to get towed. >> Do you want >> Where's it at? >> Sleepy Hollow or somebody. Who do you want? >> Where's the car at? >> It's right here. >> It's all damaged anyways from the pit. >> What about right outside? >> Do you want Do you want Lens to get it? How far is it? Like right by >> Lens is like 25 30 minutes. >> No, Lens is in the city of Toma. >> Was that one right before the hill? >> That auto shop right before the hill. >> There's a place right in um Norwok that >> Okay. You want that one? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We're going to get it out of Norwok. >> Yes. Dingers. Okay. Are you And can you spell your last or write your your last name, middle initial, and date of birth, please? Thank you. All right, ma'am. Um, if uh there's anything I need for you, any other updates? But he's going to be going to jail, so um he'll probably give you a call from jail. >> Did you spend all the money on my card I gave you? >> No. >> Can I have the card, the Cash App card? >> For why? I need money when I go to jail. You're going to get paid back Thursday. I'll get my wallet and everything, but I'm taking the cash. I'll get my wallet, my car, and I get paid Thursday. >> Yeah. >> All right, man. Well, we got to we got to do an autobon investigation. We got some stuff to do. Um, we'll get that toe called and route, but if you don't mind, um, just so we can operate safely, would you mind going back over there for me? >> Where is he going? To what jail? >> Monroe County Jail. >> Thank you. >> Where you going? >> She's going back to her house. >> Okay. Whoa. Can you wait? >> No, she's going to hang out over there right now so we can do our jobs. Okay. >> If she's still around, I'll make sure before you leave you can get a hug. Okay. Total six drinks >> before you leave. You're like a dog, please. >> We can do that later. We got to do our stuff right now. >> Okay. So, there's one shot of vodka. >> No. Fireball. >> Fireball. Okay. And then five twisted teas. How big are the twisted teas? >> Regular cans. >> Regular cans. Okay. What time is your first drink? >> I started about 6:30, 7:00. Maybe 6 or 7. I don't know. >> 6 or 7. Okay. Then when was your last drink? before I left Elmo. You put my hood up, please. It's gold. >> Actually, >> do me a favor. Do it over by your car cuz we're going to search this and get the shower out here. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Just in front of this one right here. >> Before he takes my wallet, can you put my money in the evidence bag and I take it in my wallet? >> Take a seat right on the bumper here. Okay. So, a total of six drinks. I think you started about 6:30 or 7:00. >> Yeah. >> And then your last one was right before you left home. >> Okay. >> How long had it been since you left home before he started to pull you over? >> I don't even know what time it is right now. >> It's 10:15. >> Yeah. >> Probably about 9. Okay. >> All right. And then you had half a blunt of marijuana that's in the vehicle that's in your >> half the cigarette. >> Okay. All right, man. So, what do you want to step over here by the light at least? >> But what? So, the wind ain't blowing me. That's not going to do too much. >> Well, I mean, it's better than stupid ass wind is blowing me. Well, the wind isn't going to go anywhere, unfortunately. Okay, I'm going run you through field sobriety test. I'm going to ask you, do you have any medical issues? No. >> Any problems with your eyes? No. Do you wear glasses or contacts? Okay. >> I'm going to take your hood off just so I can see your eyes better. Okay. Okay. And I am going to have you step to the front here long. So I want you to stand your feet together just like this. Heels and your toes touching cold. All right. Don't do anything until he tell you that. Do you understand? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> I'm going to check your eyes. Please keep your head still during the test. I want you to look at the tip of my finger and follow the movement of that finger with your eyes and your eyes only. Keeping your head still, I want you to keep looking at the tip of my finger until you are told the test is over. Do you understand? >> No. >> Okay. Um I have no damage. I got them right here on the on my push bumper. I just got a little bit of stuff, but that's in our county. So, >> okay. >> I got to have a >> Yep. I I'll have a state or somebody else take care of it, but Yeah, you can kick her out and cut her loose. Just make sure we got a good statement on all this stuff from her. I'll I'll take the statement from her though while you're searching. >> Can I go in? >> Yeah, he's holding the dog. Nothing else right. >> There's not a leash in here. >> There's no leash, but I got him by the harness. Okay. Come on. Okay. I know. Hold on. Let me see. >> So, tell me tell me about what happened just prior to the pursuit. Like, where were you guys at? >> He picked me up from my mom's, which is an uncle. >> Yep. >> And then we went to Maddiey's in New Lisbon. And then then we stopped at Einstein's and the bank. And then when we left the bank, he's like, "I can't get pulled over." I can't get caught. I can't caught. I said, "Well, >> you guys both saw me. I looked right at it." >> Yeah. Yeah. But I had I told him to stop. I said, "Just let me out." First time we went in the ditch in the cornfield. I was like I was like I was like let me the out. I was like I have nothing to do with this. I was like you might want to risk your [ __ ] but I don't. I got [ __ ] to do tomorrow. Okay. So I was just but there was I grabbed the wheel a few time and tried to stop him but >> he No. It wasn't happening. >> Yeah. >> So >> what he what he saying? He just >> he just been prison. >> Okay. >> Do you want to press charges against him for keeping you? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> Do you want to write a statement at all? >> If you need me to. >> If you'd be willing to, I can give you one. Would you give it to the sheriff's office? >> Yeah. >> Um, that would be perfect. >> The only [ __ ] that's in this car is my jack the Christmas leg and the black and the phone with the duct tape on the back of the pack. >> Yeah, we'll grab that for you. Um, no other drugs or anything like that that should be in the car. That's not yours. >> Not mine. >> Okay. All right. So, you know, if he uses any bag and I mean my twist teas are up front and I'm drunk, but >> yeah, I know it's open, but I'm not going to >> I wasn't driving. >> It sounds like you had a rough night already, so >> Oh, yeah. I was freaking out. I was crying >> at one point. I know. So when he took that right >> the minute the minute you turned your life said he said I can't stop. I said what the you mean you can't stop. >> I think that's when you were like you put your hands up on your head. I was holding him like [ __ ] >> And then I looked at him. He's like I'm not stopping. I'm like well I better light a cigarette then on. I was like my seat belt on >> cuz I don't want a car accident. >> Okay. >> No. I don't even know where the we're at. I actually took too many turns. I was struck at the bar. We're We're down in Ontario now. >> Oh, I come home. >> Well, I have no idea. >> Maybe Maybe mom might give you a ride. >> No, she's a med. >> No, she's right here. >> My mom? >> No, his mom. >> Go and talk to her. >> No. Why the She couldn't be like She could take his dog. >> Well, neither neither of us can do it because we we have dogs ourselves. >> Mom, is she here? >> She's Yeah, she's standing right there. >> She could take his dog. Is there anything else that I need to know about what's going on? >> No, that was literally it. Okay. >> It was really He's just obvious. And I said, "Well, >> what I would do, do you have a cell phone?" >> Yeah. It doesn't work unless I got Wi-Fi. >> You want to go to the bar down there? And >> you want me to ask her? She'll give you a ride. >> At least take his dog. >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I'll ask her. She'll take the dog. Okay. Mom, would you take his dog? >> I'm not Mom. >> What? >> Mom. >> Oh, I'm sorry. Where'd she go? Oh, my bad. >> That way. >> Okay. >> No, >> I thought that was her. >> Hey, Sergeant He at the sheriff's office. Would you come and get your son's dog from the traffic stop here? Yeah. By the way, you don't want to even just babysit him, or else we got to send him to a shelter. Okay. All right. She's He's standing down here with with a female. Okay. All right. Thank you. Bye. This next test is going to be the walk and turn test. So, what I want you to do is I want you to place your left foot on an imaginary line and go straight out in front of you. So, imagine >> imaginary line. >> Imagine a completely straight line going out from your left foot all the way to our right heel. >> No, on the ground out in front of you. >> Obviously, right? >> Like this. Well, I haven't explained that to you yet. I'm just telling you to put your left foot on that line. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Then I want you to place your right foot on that line ahead of your left foot with the heel of your right foot against the toe of your left foot. Just like this. >> Okay. >> You can go ahead and do that now. Nope. Hold on. What? Okay. Don't do anything until I tell you to do so. >> You just I know I didn't tell you to start walking. >> Listen, what? Hold on. >> This officer won't join >> because he's literally asking the same thing he just told me to do the first time. >> Right or wrong. Right or wrong? He's just trying to explain. >> I understand what you're saying. >> Listen, he's videotaping me, but I want you to be on the video and just say we're both fine. That's fine. But I'm saying he just told me to do the same thing and he told me to do it as he told me to do it. >> So I'm not He's just trying to explain how he wants you to stand. >> Left foot, right foot behind my heel. Correct. >> Left foot on that. >> And I just tried that and he told me, "Never mind. Restart." >> Okay. So maybe he just explained it wrong. Let him re explain it to you. Okay. >> Explained it wrong. Okay. Okay. >> So your mind is cold as I don't understand what this is all for. Well, I just did the first test and the second test and this is the third test. I don't understand what's going on. >> We did one test. It's the eye test. It's several test. >> Oh, it's separate testing and the first test. >> Yeah. So, the eye test consists of several things. >> So, why do I have to do a second test? >> It's part of field test. Standardized field test has three levels. There's the eye test and there's a walk and turn and then there's the one leg stand. >> Okay. Well, I just try. Let's go. >> Okay. So place your left foot on that imaginary straight line. >> Yep. Then take your right foot, put it in front of your left foot. Yep. With your heel and your toe touching. Okay. Do not move until I tell you to do so. Do you understand? >> No. >> Obviously, I can't do this one because you I shot the first time and the second time is not going to happen. >> Do you want to do the test? >> Obviously not. Okay. >> What's the test? >> It's the one leg stand. I'm I'm going to demonstrate. Just let me explain it first. Okay. Okay. Keep both legs straight and your arms at your side, obviously. >> Okay, I understand that. >> So, I'm going to demonstrate with my right leg. You can you can do it with either one.
