on March 8th 2023 a deputy from the wallworth county sheriff's office stopped a vehicle for expired registration Wisconsin and Del with the silver I'm sorry yeah they're expired by first off my name is Mike I work with the sheriff's office I just okay I got you they told me okay do you breed them yes good puppy and then I I saw your windshield was uh crank too oh yeah I got you do you have firearm so you got to have a concealed carry license up here I I don't know if Illinois reciprocates to Wisconsin if you got your concealed carry license down there how does that work out here so you would have to look it up it goes state by state I know CLE my concealed carry license in Wisconsin does not reciprocate to Illinois so I would have to get another concealed carry license in Illinois if I wanted to carry a firearm in Illinois in our uh it's just you have to have it separate like in a locked container or back or your CL Department okay you had on the backpack and the passenger seat well it wasn't in the back seat but I had reached and grabbed it cuz all my IDs are in there my wallet uh ripped open a couple weeks ago so I just been putting all my IDs in my bag I got you either way though you you need a in the state of Wisconsin you cannot uh carry a firearm and in the passenger compartment of a vehicle anytime it's carried in a vehicle considered concealed carry so if it were like locked up in the trunk I was going to say where do you put it yeah you lock it up put it in the trunk I didn't I got you so no big deal like I said it's it's going to be a ticket but because you can't legally carry it I can't give it back to you so it's going to go to the Sheriff's Office for safekeeping and you'll come and you can come and pick it up come back with a case or a trigger lock a case yeah something you can lock I do got a case but it's in this car gotcha come back with a container you can lock it in and then you can put it in the trunk all right that's fine so what am I getting ticketed for you're going to get a ticket for possession of marijuana and then you're going to get get a ticket for carrying a concealed weapon okay how serious is the conce it just says County ordinance citation so nothing that's going to show up on your criminal record it's like it's just a fine it's not it's not a crime are they like heavy f uh I've never written the ticket for it before so I I'm not sure I do know the the ticket for the weed is a is a few hundred bucks just being H honest with you can't you can't once I'm done right near the tickets I know to be honest just like obviously being a cop like I support the second Amendment and I want people to be able to express their rights but you got to be doing it legally yeah I was just wondering cuz you were selling the dog I wasn't sure if you had I want dogs but this lter okay gotcha then I'm not riding you a ticket for the traffic stuff like the the windshield or the tags I understand you just bought the car so I think it's fair to R your ticket for it did your aunt ever send you a copy of the insurance must okay make sure you got right now you're in the city of dvin I work for Walworth County but if the city of dvin pulls you over you don't have insurance they'll tow your car so just so you know wait I'm in the city of what Delan do you want a little paper bag to put that stuff in uh I should have one in here okay I have a bunch of I just got to get this attached it's an elorn so if um probably 15 minutes from here just further up 43 so if you stayed on the interstate it's like I was to gotcha both going to have the same court date it is mandatory it's going to be April 19th at 1:30 and there's the address for the courthouse like I said it's just a couple more exits up 43 so these aren't going to have any effect on your license because they're non-traffic citations they're just County ordinance citations have effect on my forway no it shouldn't it doesn't carry over from state to state and it's just an ordinance citation so it's pretty much the same thing as getting a speeding ticket except there's nothing against your driving license right but it's just know pay the fine or show up for cour toet test it so this GRE sheet is going to have all the instructions on how to settle it whether um I me you're going to have to show for court either way so it has instructions for court and instructions on how to pay the full citations do you have any questions for me there's that for you let me get you your FL back there's that and um I'm going to have you go ahead get back in your car I'm just going to give you a receipt for the gun so when you you can just bring it uh to the Sheriff's office tomorrow to grab it all right thanks so that'll be the last thing and after I
