In policing, we have a saying. You can beat the charge, but you can't beat the ride. That's to say that the judge may throw the charge out and you may beat it in court, but you got to take that ride in the back of the police car handcuffed and sit in jail. This person is alleged to have battered a hotel employee. You would think that that would be the most interesting part of the case, but in this case, the ride to jail is even more interesting than the actual incident. >> The guy flagged me now that he's inside Walgreens. Really? >> Yeah. Hi. >> I just need to get >> I work for this company. This guy's being belligerent to me. >> Where you coming from? >> Where am I coming from? A hotel where I was thrown out of in inappropriately. >> Cole back. What are you doing? >> I'm not resisting. >> Give me my ID. >> These officers are obviously deputy. Don't play that. Officer don't play that vibe. and took him into custody very very quickly after they realized that this is the guy they're looking for. >> Do I have my rights? >> Absolutely you do. And I going to go to jail. >> Oh, great. >> Absolutely. >> Let's do this. >> Let's go. >> What is my What is my right? >> Burglary and a battery to a to a female. And we're going to add a racial charge on there because you say racial terms. >> That's considered a hate crime, buddy. >> Okay, great. >> You just left my phone on the car. >> You mean this one right here? >> Thank you. There you go. >> Damn, dude. >> Don't be reaching in your pockets either. >> I'm not reaching in my pockets. >> Don't move your hands. >> I'm not moving my hands. >> Why are you moving, man? >> Because he just told you to move me. I told you to move. >> He just moved me. >> When people move around a lot like that when we're searching them before we put them in the car, we're always thinking that they might be trying to conceal some type of contraband or a weapon or something like that. So, it's good that this off is really sharp. He just keys in on pretty much everything so far. >> And you're moving again. I'm just trying to like keep a stance. >> Go again. Guys, >> do you have cameras on? >> Absolutely. We do. >> A little bit. >> I can't move. Let's see if I can move. >> No, no, no. >> Perfect. is at the Walgreens. Do >> you have my wallet? Do you have everything else? >> 3926. >> Great. Come on. >> There's something that likely most of you missed unless you're a cop and have police radio air. So, while all this craziness is going on with a suspect, there was an alert tone on the police radio and then a broadcast about a person that was acting violent. officer that was dealing with the suspect picked up on it, realized it's their subject, and he'd let dispatch know that it was their guy and to slow the officers down because officers were rolling code to the scene. The multitasking that happens in policing that people don't even realize is absolutely amazing. And this cop is sharp. I can tell. >> Giving me my rights. I have a right to remain silent. >> You have a right to remain silent. I think the car can get in the car right now. >> Yeah, sure. In the car. Can I have my wallet? No. I'm going to hold out your wallet. in the car right now. >> Wow. >> Yeah. Wow. >> If you're in the car, I'm going to pull you from the other side. You understand what I'm saying to you? Good job. >> Verify contact with the trooper that's on. >> That's what we're looking for actually. >> Yeah, we're Yeah, we're good. >> Yeah. I hope I go to federal court. Yes. I'm excited. Hi. How are you? Are you doing okay? Are you sexually frustrated? So, I've got about $100,000 in with me. Can you make sure that your officer takes care of that? >> We're going to grab your bags. >> Perfect. And also include my ID, my two cell phones, and my wallet. >> I have one cell phone. >> I have two cell phones. >> Well, I have one cell phone that I retrieved from you. >> Okay. Where's the other? >> I don't know. You probably lost it walking around or being >> I did not lose it. There were two with me. >> Or you're beating on a woman. So, I'm not sure. >> Excuse me. I'm gay. That's a hate crime. >> Absolutely not. It's the other way around, buddy. >> Okay. Excuse me. It's >> other way around. >> I suck. >> This behavior is exactly why body cams were created. >> I am a US national that was just returned to the United States under asylum. I don't give a >> The United States. >> Excuse me? >> I don't give a >> You don't give a Okay, perfect. >> Thank you for your service. I appreciate it. And I also work in security. >> You're working for my services. Call the president. >> Not a deputy. Officer don't play that. Deputy don't play that. It's not a person. It's a vibe. And this officer definitely has that vibe. I wouldn't mess with this guy. >> Tell him how he like to beat a woman. >> I don't with women. Are you serious? Oh my god. You're so weird. Beat on women. Oh my god. He just said that. I don't even touch women. >> During whatever I love, but I'm a judge. Do we have my bag in the car yet? >> Officer. >> Hello. >> I guess not. >> I have the right to like the off is what he said. Okay, fair enough. >> These are what's called spontaneous utterances. And everything that this guy says is discoverable and could potentially be utilized because the officer is not asking him any questions directly related to the case. These are just utterances spontaneously made by the suspect in the car. Not a smart move, but entertaining. >> Paris was expecting me at the Oscars tonight, but I guess that's not going to happen. Burglary. Oh my god. Are you serious? What am I going to steal from this place? Do we have all my things? Yes or no? There's $100,000 worth of medication. Uh uh $600 in cash. $100 bills only in my Adidas bag, which hopefully hasn't been stolen since I'm on camera. Um, in addition to that, there is um proprietary information that can encrypt uh or indict certain uh US officials in my bags as well. Those are all secured as well. >> Okay, officer. >> I already told you we have your bags. >> Are they all in the bag? >> I don't know what they're in the bags. We didn't check your bags yet. >> Are all the bags that I arrived with? >> I don't know how many bags you had. >> I'm sorry. >> If you remember correctly, I brought you to the car and sat you in my car. >> Did you see me leave? >> It was simply a question. >> Okay, I'll give you an answer. >> I mean, common sense would tell you that I I didn't go retrieve your bags, right? >> I I don't know. I was arrested and told to like shut up. >> So, I thought it would be appropriate to ask these questions. Officer, >> are you having a bad day? Yes or no? >> Having a better day now. >> Oh, you're having a better day now because you have a black man in the back of the car. >> No, I have a I have a person who committed a hate crime. >> How did I commit a hate crime? >> You battered a woman who battered a woman. >> How did I racial? >> Oh, okay. >> Did you guys follow up on the hate crime that I called about yesterday? >> I'm not sure. This is a different matter. >> No, you didn't. So, I guess it's uh one for one. I'd love to talk to a sergeant upon my arrival and also a federal judge. >> This prototypical behavior is in three cities every single night. A lot more, but the top three, Miami, Vegas, where I worked, and New York. Every cop that's worked in those cities has seen this behavior hundreds of times. >> Are two of my phones in the back of the car? Yes, sir. >> You have one phone on your person that I got from you. >> Okay. I had two phones with me. >> Might have lost it. >> Since we're being recorded, I had two phones. One iPhone 8 and one iPhone XR. I'm also not under the influence of weed, any other type of controlled medications, stimulants as well. >> Really? Cuz you smell like alcohol. So that's >> okay. Well, I had a glass of wine. >> You wreak of alcohol. >> I weak. >> Yep. >> I have on Givvon G. I think that's an insult to the designers. I'm an LGBT and I'm also US citizen. Is the person behind the counter a US citizen? Probably not. I think I get more rights than they do. You go again. >> Excuse me. >> There you go again. >> This is called a BWAY. Being the best witness against yourself. >> Do you know why 911's called? For the record, since I'm on camera, a piece of paper fell on the floor and I apologized about it and that's why she called the police. Did she tell you that? >> No. Did she just threw a phone? >> After she assaulted me, did she tell you that part? >> Just tell me that you threw you threw a phone at her. >> I did not. >> Do you know why I threw a phone at her? you just >> because she said she was calling police because I accidentally let a piece of paper that I needed to sign fall on the floor and she goes I was being disrespectful. >> You threw the phone at her because she was calling the police. >> That's ridiculous. You call your manager. You don't call the police for something like this? >> So you threw the phone at her because she was calling the police. >> I didn't throw the phone at her. I just threw it in general. >> Why did you throw it? >> Because I was upset. This is a customer service issue. This does not require the police. I asked her to call her a manager. I have been there for like nine nights. Eight days I've not had an issue. She's the first time I've seen her. >> Well, guess what? The police aren't involved now. >> Okay. Well, perfect. I'd love to talk to the judge. >> Book me. Let's go. I need to sit in front of Walgreens, my employer. This is embarrassing for me. Let's go. >> Can you get my lock? That's my lock. >> Can you get my lock, please? >> Okay, I guess not. I guess I lost a lock that's on the floor. Absolutely. I get it. You >> I've told you before the trifecta of police really don't like the name dropper, the street lawyer, and the know-it-all. And this guy has hit them all in spades. >> I'll call you in a little bit cuz I >> don't text and drive. Don't drive and drive. Drive on your phone. It's illegal. >> I'm sorry. What was the burglary part? Because I have a lot of money and I don't steal. >> So, what burglary happened? Just so we're clear on that. show myself in 2138. >> Not all black people still and I'm not black. I'm Native American. >> Before your people arrived, >> can you see if she can save the CCTV uh on the incident? >> Yes, please. >> Ask uh let me call you back from last night when the hate crime happened to me and you guys didn't arrest in a little bit. >> Sure. >> A double standard. As annoying as this behavior is, he is in some serious danger when he gets to jail if he's housed with other people. As I watch this, I know that this guy might get lumped up by someone if he runs his mouth like this. So, you want to definitely let the cos know because this is the type of guy that will get smacked in the mouth or hit or something happened to him if he talks like this inside of a crowded jail cell. >> Perfect. >> I hope there's good lighting for my picture. >> All the lighting. >> Oh, you read officer. Absolutely not. Let's go. >> I'm telling you where to go. >> Walk up the stairs to the double doors. >> Okay. >> From the EU because I just arrived from asylum, by the way. >> Awesome. Good for you. Right here. You want me to escort you? >> Dude, you don't need to touch me anymore than you have. It's creepy. >> Right there. Wait in the corner. >> On here. >> Right there in the corner. Absolutely. in that corner like I'm a dodge or something. >> Turn around. >> That's called a sallyport. Interestingly, when policing, the police officer stress level goes down, the suspect's stress level goes up as they're about to be booked. This is a very dangerous time cuz a lot of times I've seen the suspect trip out because they know they're going into jail and the officers let down their guard just a little bit. I don't see that happening with this officer, but that's in a little cop scoop. It's interesting to know. >> Take one step to the left. >> Left. >> Go ahead. Walk over the bench. >> The table right there. Let's go. >> Hey guys, how are you? >> Happy holidays on the table. >> Step back towards me. >> Yep. >> Sure. My own. >> Yeah. This is like parent. >> We heard the officer mention the charge of alleged battery on a female. And then you heard him mention a hate crime. Brief explanation of these hate crime things. A person punches another person in the face. In most jurisdiction, that's going to be considered a battery in some jurisdictions and assault. You do that same thing and you use a racial slur and it becomes a hate crime which can be an enhancement or an additional charge depending on the jurisdiction and those are taken very seriously. That's something you do not want on your record. If you like this kind of content, like and subscribe and there should be a video on your screen. and click on that video for more content just like
