on July 23rd 2023 a deputy from the Brown County Sheriff's Department received information that there was a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road when the deputy located and approached the vehicle south of the intersection of State Highway 29 in County Road t yes [Music] sir so what occurred was we actually we didn't come across you we got a call of an off from an off duty firefighter that said there's a vehicle stalled or stopped in the middle of the road okay I'm going walk you through this so your vehicle with you and the driver's seat you were stopped in the middle of County Road T about 4 miles past your house like you said you were right in the middle of the road you were sleeping you had your foot on the brake vehicle was still in drive my sergeant parked his squad car in front of you the deputy yor who you've been speaking with parked his squad car behind you they went to make contact with you you were sleeping at the wheel they woke you up I don't know if you had an oh [ __ ] moment or what it was but you woke up you took your foot off the brake you started to inch forward and then you hit the accelerator and you crashed into my Sergeant's squad car and pushed him off the road out of the way you then took off driving Northbound on County Road T until you finally came to a stop at the intersection of 29 and County Road T right outside I think it's the little general right there you stopped at that intersection right there that's when deputies made contact with you and removed you from the vehicle so that that is what happened tonight that's all on video it's all that that's exactly what happened tonight okay I arrived on scene afterwards you recognized me from being at the tractor pool tonight I recognized you cuz I know we spoke and shot [ __ ] at the tractor pole tonight and um that's when Deputy y took you into custody for operating while intoxicated state of Wisconsin that's your third offense you have two prior convictions so it's your third offense because it's your third offense you have to go to jail you can bond out or you'll see a judge tomorrow afternoon Monday afternoon at 2:30 in the afternoon you will meet with a judge and he will decide signature Bond Bond posted time sered this that and the other thing future court date whatever the that the judge decides but if you're you will get two free phone calls once you arrive at the Brown County Jail like I said I don't know if my partner has your phone or not you get phone numbers out of there third offense is a state charge it's a misdemeanor State charge but now because they're so far apart does that matter third offense doesn't so to be honest with you and I'll give you a perfect example back in 2010 13 years ago I was 20 years old and I was in college I got an ow was my first offense punched me is that why your eye is oh my eye my lip my tooth is loose where did you get punched at I'm guessing was there was there no it wasn't by us definitely wasn't by us my upper lip is it's yeah you you I mean I could I don't have my squad phone on me but there something it's I can feel it all it's it's really yep I don't know you didn't look like that when I saw you at the tractor pull no and it's my upper lip is yeah yeah y your your lips gled a little bit you got under your eye did you hit your head on the steering wheel when you crashed into my sergeant Squad carard so okay they said I don't [Music] right I remember getting into my vehicle M and going home don't remember anything after that what time did you leave the tractor pull cuz I was out of there at 11:00 did you stay for the band and everything no I uh we left we left during the game cuz my daughter came and Tau to me dad I'm going to go home and I said okay I'm going to stay for the band you know Y and then I think it was right after yeah right CU I think they shut down about midnight so I had shortly after the band okay and I just said I'm going to go home okay I mean I live my yeah that's why I don't I'm sorry you don't have to apologize I I do because I got three kids then then I appreciate the apology okay I got three little kids I got my wife passed away in January I [Music] [Music] there's no monetary value associated with this you have to see a judge so it's not like odv first where you get the $928 ticket and then all the other [ __ ] you have to see a judge a judge will make a determination on whether you sit time whether you pay a monetary value this that or the other thing it's completely up to the judge so I wouldn't worry about anything Financial related right now because you're not getting a a monetary value citation no it's [Music] like you're not going to lose your kids for getting an [Music] ow I will no one's going to take your kids away it's not like your kids were in the vehicle you didn't put them in danger I [ __ ] yeah you obviously made a dumb decision by driving tonight but you made a smart decision by letting your daughter take your kids home and not putting them in danger as well as yourself I'm not you're an adult I'm an adult I'm not going to sit here and talk to you like you're a child or anything like that you're a mature adult but I'll tell you right now I worked an accident last night where four people are dead on it possibly what what two yeah I worked an accident last night so Friday night where four people died in an ow related crash this NOP this was one's right in Brown County right in the village of Alleyway I can't go into any more detail outside of that but two people two yep two people that was my crash two people in critical condition two people dead at the scene I've never seen so much Carnage in my [ __ ] life okay the older ones no all in their 20s really yep because of driving drunk and the mistakes that happen you're lucky you're lucky somebody else wasn't driving drunk and came and rammed your truck up the cuz you were in the middle of a highway and I don't I know I know you don't remember I I totally get that I mean I'm coherent now I I just that's first and second offense in the state of Wisconsin you're able to be released to a responsible party third offense is a State Crime so you it's it's a misdemeanor you have to go to jail for it you have a bondable amount I'm not sure what it is but you can bond out or call somebody to come Bond you out or you will have to sit until tomorrow in the afternoon Monday at 2:30 where you will see a judge but the jail will give you an opportunity I mean if you know somebody right when you get there they give you the opportunity to make phone calls and everything so so what do you mean by Bond me I mean all right so like if you get arrested I like I said I don't know what it is for ow third offense but if you get arrested for a disorderly conduct it's 150 bucks pay 150 bucks they release you from the jail with a future court date you bond out you pay money to get out of jail it's like Monopoly somebody took my wallet somebody took your wallet yes we found a I don't know if I had a wallet on you but you had a ton of cash you Deputy y did this gentleman have a wallet on him yeah do you have that wallet yeah we have your wallet I can feel it's not yeah I'm the same way I can tell when it's not there mine usually doesn't have [ __ ] in it though so it's basically a fat piece of leather get this cops off let me go call foty so we can try to expedite this process find out where they are Deputy yor I'm going to go call photomy again can you keep an eye on this gentleman okay just hang tight right here I know I'm going to try to expedite this process for I will run I promise you I can catch you we were here first yeah I'm just kidding this I'm giving him not you you like she'll be in momentarily she's just taking blood from the other gentleman that just came in one second way it was it was 4:30 that afternoon and my brother found my wife's your wife was involved in an accident oh my wife was side of the RO she died okay dead in aicle I'm sorry to hear that responding officer from Brown and she was transported here okay and neither of the two could explain to me where my really my brother called her own it was 4:30 there afterno where was it it was at Glenn it was at Glen okay well your vehicle is at Glen you have my word we called them they tow it okay I'm sorry that your last experience was less than favorable yeah and that's me speaking politely obviously it was [ __ ] and I'm sorry for that and this was [ __ ] no I can't even imagine man 8:30 that morning they called me up hello Dwayne yep so Hospital CA today said no she died just nonchalant like that right here out of this y that's why he said he had a transer me here I ref St I could refuse this yes you are within your rights to do that but we will then apply for a warrant and if that warrant is signed by a judge we will end up obviously it's dependent upon the warrant but if a warrant is signed by a judge giving us permission to obtain your blood then we will obtain it by means that necessary obviously that is not the route that we want to go I am sorry that you had that experience here I I I mean that sincerely nobody should have to deal with that and I mean that sincerely you lost a loved one you lost your wife I can't even imagine on my phone it's not your no I guarantee you this is the first time got the this in the front seat but once we get to the jail they will give you access to your cell phone and everything you good y yeah of course thank you well I'll be honest with you Dwayne obviously we had a conversation at the pools and everything I thought you were funny as [ __ ] me and you were laughing but I told I told my partner when I was on my way responding with us I said I just because of the you have the opportunity if you stay in jail public if you stay if you don't bond out you stay in jail you're automatically appointed a public defender before you go to court on Monday so Bond I have
