on May 2nd 2024 a deputy from the Columbia County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after he clocked the driver going 121 [Music] mph [Music] 33 it'll be WIC Robert 6 5 1 Union Robert 651 hello I'm Deputy Master at the Clemy County Sheriff's Office do you mind shutting the vehicle off for me I'm just going to hold on to your keys until we're done okay thank you do you have your driver's license and insurance with you and what is your reasoning for going 121 mph okay how much have you had to drink I've had one drink at the SC app and that I see six open containers so you're saying you only had one drink yes okay go ahead and grab your driver's license and your insurance 3357 open intax where are you coming from what city is that in okay and where are you heading to you're heading to Jamesville you're going the wrong way so why are we going that fast I was just driving and being stupid you were driving and being stupid that's how people get hurt and killed though I was trying to get home so you say you're heading to Jamesville you're going Northbound right now you're north of Columbus you're going the opposite direction I haven't pulled up touching your left toe and then don't move from that position until I tell to begin okay correct I'll have you hold that position until I tell you to begin okay so when I tell you to begin I want you to take nine heel the toe steps on that line counting out loud looking down to your feet when you get to your ninth step I want you to leave your front foot on the line and take a series of small heel the toe steps to turn around and return nine he the to steps back on that same line I'm going to demonstrate that for you for demonstration purposes I'm going to take three steps but you're going to take nine okay so it's going to look like this 1 2 3 all the way to nine and then a series of small steps and return nine heal the to steps back one two three again I'm doing three you're going to do your toe outward with your foot parallel to the ground looking down at your foot counting out loud 1,1 1,2 13 and so on until you tight to stop okay so during the test make sure to look down to your feet count out loud keep your arms down by your side I'll let you know when to stop do you have any questions yes how long it is the test for 30 seconds 30 seconds so I have to hold a stance for 30 us to use any Force necessary to do it and I'd much rather you be cooperative otherwise you get extra charges such as resisting I'm going to be cooperative but I'm just saying that I do not consent to anything without my mot present yep we're not asking for you to consent that's what the search warrants for we don't need consent okay he says that he wants his attorney present for it but I just explained to him that we don't wait for the attorney to get here and we have a warrant and he just said he wanted to make it clear that he doesn't said to it I asked if he's going to be cooperative and charged with speeding more than 45 mph over the limit operating while intoxicated and refused to take test for intoxication after arrest this case is still pending so your charges are the ow First
