Are you happy to put 81 and 49? >> No. >> Is this the only other car that you guys know? These two, her and him. >> I'm going to have you stay with him. He looks He looks high. He's sweating. His pupils are pinpoint. He doesn't know what happened. I have not no ID or anything with no ideation for anything on a daily basis. >> No. >> No. I'm trying to think of what happened. I'm trying to figure out what happened here. >> You hit your head. Did you have your seatelt on? >> No. No. >> No. Don't get up. Sit down. Put your feet up. Let's get your feet up. >> Where did it take you to get your head looked at? Cuz it seems like you're not 3. >> Your pupils are a little small. >> Does your neck hurt though? Any neck pain? >> Hey, Bill. >> What's going on? >> Having a rough day? >> Yeah. You guys okay? >> Yeah. What happened? Go. >> I was just coming down this way. >> You're going south? >> Yeah. He came all the way into my lane and got me on that side and sent me all the way into here. >> So, he was coming >> down this way. But then went >> Yeah. >> Wow. And caught you on the wrong side. >> We're going to put a collar on, >> Bill. They're going in oncoming traffic. >> Oncoming traffic. >> What do you want me to do, Ray? Stop them. The next squad, they're going around my squad to come into oncoming traffic here. No, Ray. Ray, who's the Jod? If you want to come this way, they can. We want that to stay open. These they have to turn around here. They're coming into oncoming traffic. Grab the squad and come this way. They're going around my squad to come into oncoming traffic here. [Applause] >> Oh, joint. >> Yeah, they I got smashed into they're putting something on my neck right now. All right, >> relax. Sit back. >> All right, I'll call you in a minute. Bye. Just cuz the people up front do it doesn't mean you should too. I know you got caught in the middle. >> No, I know. But >> managing. Are you coming just here? >> Yes, you can. And we're going to end up having to get No, I'm not going to yell at you. The other 10 people in front of you I want to yell at. [Applause] >> You know better, too. No, I thought you were playing. >> No, nobody is. Yeah, it just happened here. >> Uh, we're going to have to in a second here. So, wait. Let me get my partner away. >> It's going to be a little bit, but you're not going to be able to turn around real easy. Okay. Thank you. [Applause] >> Just Just stay there. Block it. They'll figure it out. Yeah, we don't want anybody coming north here. I'll I'm fine with them staying south, but I told Yeah. Uh, come up like 3 ft. Perfect. Stop then. It'll slow him down. I told him to stay there. Everybody else has got to turn around though. So, >> uh, well, dude looks high as hell that he went into oncoming and hit her on the passenger side as she was heading south. So >> for the FBI accident >> sending the one truck down and everybody else is going to have to turn around. [Applause] All right, let's try that again. >> So, you're heading >> south. He was coming north but went into oncoming and hit you on the passenger side. >> Yeah, he flew all the way over there. >> Okay. And he was the only one driving or only one in the car and everything like that that you saw. Okay. You guys injured at all? They do have some road um some >> seat belt rash and he's got a little um scrape on his forehead. He's complaining. >> Okay. So, seat belt and booster for him. >> And then she was in a full car seat. Hey, so the driver of the van who caused the accident sound like uh the other people were going southbound, he was going north but went into oncoming traffic and then hit her on the passenger side on the wrong side. So he's getting transported up to the hospital. He was sweating real bad. Had like pinpoint pupils. Um I don't we see if we can get a DR or just trying to get some Yeah. >> Nothing. It's pack. It's a work truck. It's packed full of [ __ ] But I from what I can see in the front seat, I see nothing. So without going, you know, in in uh not bad. So just uh some like seat belt burns and uh a headache. But the car is trashed. Both cars. What's >> up? Take care. Yeah. >> Who's Are you right in this county right now? >> That's what I figure. But it hits in the middle of the road. Do you guys go by where the cars end up or where the impact is? >> Where the impact is? >> Cuz I don't know how this works any road. >> Yeah. No, it it's ours. If it's on this road until uh up to Liberty, it's ours. >> But that's town property. That's why I didn't know how the highway works. I don't care. I'm just curious. >> Yeah, it's ours. >> BMH for this moment. >> What's that for BMH? We're good. Do you want you want a sticker? >> Oh, that's my stuff. >> They're buried in here somewhere. >> There you go. >> And then one for your sister, too. >> I got a flat. >> Got to get the boss working. >> I just got to do it. >> Tire track here. Uh that doesn't that's probably that could be old from a semi coming out of the lot or something here though too. >> That was like >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> That's old. Yeah. Cars will be buried right through there. >> Yeah. That's what car seats are for. >> Yeah. that we see a lot of people don't >> or they have big poofy coats on right now and then they slide right out or they get real hurt, you know. >> You know, I'm going to get you a pamphlet with the report number and then we're going to be up. Are you guys going up to the hospital? >> Are you going up to BMH? I'll just meet you up there then. Okay. >> You can have that. It's yours. Yeah. Yeah. That thing's not staying on. There you go. Looks good to me. >> All right. >> Thank you. I'll uh I'll wait till you guys get back so I can before I move my stuff. >> Are you going to pull in and try to go back this way then? >> All right, man. So, so what happened today? >> I was at work and they called me and they said that >> you were at work. >> Yeah. >> Where were you at working at? >> Um, it's a uh 12 building house that I'm doing. >> Okay. >> Putting the sprinklers in. >> Where where's that at? Do you know? >> Um, >> I don't know. I take Lis to um I think it's 11. >> Okay. >> And then I pull in. It's It's right there. Okay. All right. >> But uh I had to go to a different job. >> So So they called you and said you had to go somewhere else. >> Yeah. There was a sprinkler head that was leaking at a different place up in Cedarberg. >> Yeah. >> Hi. >> So I was heading over to there. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Um >> I just had to go fix the leaking head and I was on my way over there and then >> what what happened? I don't know. I was pulling out and I seen a guy coming and I don't know if I didn't have enough time or what. >> Pulling out from where >> the job >> you said you were on 11 and >> thank you. >> Lumis, you said? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, that's where I was working. >> Yeah. >> Did you Did you take any medication or anything before? Uh, I had a muscle relaxer earlier. Okay. >> Just cuz my back's been hurting. >> Sorry. >> Cuz your back's been hurting. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Are you prescribed it or? >> No. >> No. >> What else are you taking? >> Cuz cuz muscle relaxers aren't going to make your eyes pinpoint. You taking any oxycodone? >> No, >> I don't take any of that. I wonder if there's something in that pill. >> How'd you get the pill? >> The first one I gave you. Okay. >> Did you read them? >> No, I haven't done No. So, hey. So, Curtis, so just based on everything that's that's going on, man. >> Um I know you can't can't get up and move around right now, but uh I want to try to do some field sobriety tests on you. >> All right. >> Okay. Are you willing to do them? >> I can't walk at all. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, we can do we can do a little bit of a modified version. >> Is that something you'd be want to do? >> For what? I mean, I don't care. I I'm fine. >> Just to see if that you were safe uh to be driving. >> Oh, yeah. I can do what I what I can. >> Okay. So, you're willing to do the test? >> Yeah. Okay. >> How old are you? >> 38. >> I don't do math. So, >> all right, man. So, for the first test, I'm going to be checking your >> Actually, I just turned 39 in February. >> So, you're 39? >> Yeah. I'm sorry. I just had a birthday. >> Well, happy birthday. >> Thanks. >> All right. So, I'm checking your eyes, man. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, can you see the tip of my pen? >> Yep. >> Okay. What I want you to do is follow the tip of my pen with your eyes and your eyes only. Okay. >> Um, normally I'd have your >> if you can try to keep your hands as straight as you can down by your sides. I know might be a little bit uncomfortable right now, but um, so like I said, I'm be checking your eyes. Do you have any questions about the test? >> No. >> Do you understand what I explained to you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. We're going to do a little bit of a finger test. Okay. Can you What hand do you prefer to use? Probably this one. >> My right hand, but >> I'm right-handed, but this is on there, but I don't care. >> Okay. You want to try with this one? We can take this off for a second. >> Sure. >> Okay. >> All right. So, why don't you do them, man? Take your hand like this. You're going to go one out loud. Okay. You're going to count out loud. Go. 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1. You do that three times. Okay. So, 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 >> Okay. >> 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 >> Okay. You know your alphabet? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can you uh start with the letter D and just start going up until I tell you to stop? D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q. >> All right, one more. Can you um uh you know your numbers, you know how to count? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can you start from 67 and start going up toward 100? >> 67 68 69 70 71 72 73 74 75 767. [Music] Okay, >> let me make a phone call real quick. Okay, I'm going to step out real quick. Hey. Um, so I did him. >> Um, >> I got nothing. He was able to do everything just fine. >> And >> huh? >> And >> or last night >> and so hey Curtis. So um, we talked it over. We are going to be placing you under arrest for OWI for suspicion over OWI. Okay. Um, So, um, I'll get some paperwork going for you. I get some stuff for you to read and stuff like that. Okay. And then we'll work on going forward from there. She's going to talk to you. >> Okay. Do you have any questions for me right now? >> Okay. >> 139. >> So, what happens with that then? Am I going to begin the ticket here or do I go out of jail? You're going be getting a ticket and then uh I I don't I don't know I don't know what the bond amount is, but >> um I was waiting for somebody else to get here so I can go type my paperwork. >> Where did Rice go? >> He left. >> I'm fine with him if you want to go start hammering that out. >> Okay. All right then. >> What up? >> Not much. >> How you doing? I was told to cover you for fields and then I don't know if >> field's already done. >> Okay. >> Um she she's in there right or the DR is in there right now. >> Okay. >> With him. >> Is there anything that you need from me? >> No. If you just want to go hang out in there, that's fine. >> Okay. >> No, I'm I'm just doing my tickets right now. >> Is this technically ours or is >> it's ours, but we're not. None of us are DR. So, >> Gotcha. >> And then is she I mean, I'm assuming the DR is going to be like, "Yeah, dude. She's high as >> um >> is she like medically okay enough to be transported to >> I I think so cuz he's like he's all is in a neck brace so um >> I guess uh if you see one of the nurses go in there or the doctor go in there just grab him the side that say that he is without him hearing just like he's going to end up going to jail so we'll we'll need jails. >> Sounds good. >> Okay. >> Thanks man. That was your guys's accident. >> Uh, both vehicles totaled, but injuries are like minor. So, >> kids are okay, though? >> Yeah, they're okay. >> All right, Kirk. So, um, were you asleep? >> No, I was seeing why this would go. Oh. >> All right. So, hey, man. So, uh, the one of the citations you're getting is operating, uh, while intoxicated to cause an injury. Um, it is a felony. Um, so we're going to talk about that later, but um, you have a mandatory court dates April 11th, 2024, 2 p.m. um, in downtown. Okay. >> Okay. >> Do you have any questions about that? >> No. >> Okay. So, I got to read you this this big long form. Okay. I got to read word for word. All right. >> Yeah. >> So, this is called the informing the accused. Under Wisconsin's implanted consent law, I'm required to read this notice to you. Will you submit to an evidentary chemical test of your blood? What am I taking on anyways? I >> Yeah, but that's not for us. >> Oh, >> I don't care. >> Yes or no? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> His pupils are pinpoint. I asked him if obviously you asked him if he was freaking out. >> He was salt and sweat too when we uh rolled up there. There's no way your eyes get like car, >> right? >> And they're still pretty They're still pretty small, too. >> Just let >> So, like I said, you're under arrest right now. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm just going to read you your uh Miranda warnings. Okay. Before we ask any questions, you must understand your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand your rights? >> Yeah. >> Do you um do you have any questions about your rights? No. >> Okay. Are you willing to answer our questions? >> Yep. >> Okay. Uh what was the date and time of the >> congestion of the um prescription? this morning right after I ate around break. So like 10 between 10:30 I mean between 9:30 and 10:00. >> Have you been drinking? >> No. >> Uh have you been using drugs? >> No. >> Uh from the last time you operated a motor vehicle? So, from when you exited the vehicle after the crash, I called it. >> Have you used any drugs or alcohol? >> No. >> Okay. >> Were you involved in a crash today? >> Yes. >> All right. So, like I told you earlier, I'm a drug recognition expert. I do a lot of tests that the police will do to make sure that you're not having any medical issues. Like sometimes I look at people, one people's bigger than the other people. Well, that means something's going on with their brain. So, then we have to get them checked out. So, that's why I'm here to make sure everything's on the up and up. >> So, go ahead and blow into this for me. >> Well, well, well. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Thank you. Zeros, which you said you were going to be. Have you ever Have you ever shot heroin at all? >> No. Some people get tattoos to cover up cover up their needle marks. No, >> I'm not saying you did that. I'm just saying some people do. >> What's this hand? What's this on your hand that you wrote? >> The number on a sprinkler head. So, I remembered the code for it cuz I wanted to look up what it was. Here's the deal. Okay. >> Well, first >> here's the deal. I've been doing this for a very long time. >> Yeah. >> Very long time. >> Yeah. >> So, I know that you're being honest with as much as you want to give me, but I know that you took some kind of narcotic today. I'm not a dodo dodo bird. And you want to know why I know that? Or are you going to tell me what you actually took? I can't pull it. >> Why? My ribs hurt that bad. You >> probably got You probably got bruised ribs. >> Oh my god. I didn't think they were that bad, so I just tried to blow my nose. >> It's going to be worse tomorrow. >> Well, let me try one more time. Do you have injuries? >> Nothing like major. >> Yeah, >> she she's talking over. You can take this. >> I'm going to go back to the packet, right? Oh, okay. Sorry. >> They're going to get small because they can't handle the light in there. Whereas you yours didn't change at all. >> Okay. So, that's why I know you took some kind of narcotic. So, you can either tell me or we can play play uh the guessing game and then when the blood results come back then we'll find out. >> I said there could have been something in there. I've had that happen to me before. >> I will do that right now. Thank you. >> So, I don't know. Did you get this drug from a reputable person or just some Joe Schmo? >> Well, it's somebody I know, but I don't know where they got it. >> But you didn't separately take a narcotic. You didn't take an oxycodone? >> No, I didn't. >> Hydrocodone, anything like that? >> No. >> Okay. All right. I got to check your nose. Can you tilt your head back? Do you snort your ader at all? >> I have. >> Do you snort your oxycodone? >> I don't take oxyon. >> Okay. Do you snort your uh muscle relaxer? >> I have. >> Okay. And you know how I know that? Because you have no hair in your left nostril. So your left nostril must be your go-to for >> plucked all those out. >> You plucked all your hairs out? Yeah, cuz I had a big ass zit and my mom's a a butician and I sat with her thing and I pulled them out and then I got I had an ingrown hair on my nose. I swear to God that just happened. >> If you were me, what would you be thinking? >> You think I'm nuts, but I swear to God I just did that. >> Cuz when I do sort something, I would use my right nostril so I know that what you're saying is wrong. >> Okay. >> And the last thing I need to do is get a pulse. Uh can you help me out with that? and then I will be done. [Music] >> All right. >> So, when you took that pill today, did you feel feel any different than when you took it on Sunday? >> When you took that pill, did you feel different than when you took it on Sunday? >> No, but I didn't eat today. I ate a bunch cuz it was my dad's birthday party on Sunday. >> So, we were eating all day long and all I ate today was two cookies. So on an empty stomach could have easily made me feel different, you know, compared to I had our whole our whole family is over something. >> And you also haven't had one since Sunday. So it's been >> Yeah. >> a couple of days if you're telling me the truth. >> So that also could play into it, too, cuz you >> haven't had a dosage since Sunday. >> Yeah. >> So >> that makes sense. And on an empty stomach and I was working today and I wasn't on Sunday. So if my body like consumed what I did put in my stomach faster than normal. >> So I know the doc the doctor's coming in right. >> I'm going to search his uh >> close. >> His clothes >> just make sure. >> Thank you. So when they get all this stuff off you have you stand up. I'm going to put a belly belt on you and then I'm going to put you in cuffs. They're going to be in front >> so it's not going to be behind your back so it's more comfortable for you. Okay. >> Okay. >> Letting you change. Yes. >> Here. >> Okay. Yeah. Thanks for letting me know. >> Yeah. >> Do you have any questions or anything like that? >> So, after this, we're going to go to the my police department. You're going to get uh fingerprinted, photographed, and then we're going to take you kind of jail. Okay. >> Um at the jail, you can they'll let you make phone calls like that. If you have the the bond amount, you can bond out there or you can call someone and try to come pay for it. Okay. [Music] When we get back to uh our police department, I'll let you uh Do you want to call somebody? Let them know what's going on. >> Yeah, I'll have to call probably my parents to see if they could possibly do that bond out. They get that back, right? As long as I go to >> If you don't get in trouble or something, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Yeah, you should get it back. >> That's like bail. >> So, I can tell them that. Hey, if you can come and so if they can come to the St. Coney Jail, I can get out tonight. >> Yeah, >> they'll pay it then. >> Yeah, they I they might not even have to come down there. I'd find out to see if they can even do it over the phone. They're using a credit card or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. >> Just I just know that I don't know the process with the jail. Okay. >> They I'm sorry. They might um take a while. >> You know what I mean? >> All right. a shirt, some pants, some socks. Oh, thanks. >> There you go. >> That hurt. >> Oh, >> yeah. I bet. Okay. Before, don't sit down cuz we're going have to get you up again anyway. So, >> hold on a second. >> Oh my god. is just putting really >> Yeah, I bet. >> Oh my god. >> Should I put these boots in it? >> Uh, no. We're going to go barefoot. You got the socks on, right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to make you try to do that. >> You all right? All right. Come on over here, man. >> Trying to like wait till it goes away and it's not. >> It's going to hurt for a while, dude. >> Can I put that hoodie in? Somehow freezing outside. It's like 60° out. >> Oh, it is. >> Yeah. Just turn face thing for me. >> Can you put your hands top of your head? >> You try. Okay. >> It's not going to be tight either. Okay. >> Going to be tight. >> It's not going to be tight. Should be snug. Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Turn around. Face me. Oh man. >> Yeah, that's right where that hurt that belt. >> It's not too tight though, right? >> No. >> Hold on. Hold on. Let me uh >> All right, man. You ready? Where are we going? Like what direction? >> Go right up those right over here. This one. Oh [ __ ] >> What? >> What's up? >> Do you need help? >> I just don't want to do something that's going to put you in discomfort. You know what I mean, man? >> Yeah, I know. I'll get it if you are patient. >> Yep. Actually, can you hold my hand here? >> Yeah. >> Just so I don't go forward. >> No, you are good, man. You're good. >> Okay, that's good. >> Okay. >> Oh, all right. Sorry. >> Okay. >> All right. Not too tight. >> Good. >> All right. You ready, man? Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> I can't. You want me to get it? Is >> that better? Oh, you going to pull him up? >> Yeah. Okay. Thanks. >> Yep. Just stand right here for me. >> All right. I see that open door. [Applause] Go ahead. [Applause] Go ahead and face the wall right here. >> All right, man. Just going to check you for anything. I know that. Just put these on. Nothing. >> All right, man. You want to take a seat right here? I know you're already in C. I got to put I got to put this one on. You >> right. >> Yeah, those pants started going down. >> I know. Yeah, they're >> Thank you. You lift up your arms a little bit. Take these off here. need help. >> Okay. >> Got it. Okay. Go in there. >> If you don't want to sit down, just stand by the bench. Okay. >> Okay. Cool. >> It's just going up and down. It's killing me. >> That's fine, man. >> You want to get his picture right now? >> Yeah. >> We'll have to go in there real quick. Sorry. >> All right. We got two sets of photos anyway. Just go put your back up against that gray wall up there. >> I'll call you back. >> All right, man. Come over here. >> Take it. >> Yeah, I'm going to take the handcuffs off first. Let me take off. That'll be way easier. >> Yeah, it will. >> Yep. >> Right. >> Yeah. Assuming they got everything uh packet for you. >> Are you good? >> Yeah, that'd be great. >> Yeah. Watch this. Pull it off. >> Yeah. Go. Go to wash your hand. >> You good though, right? >> Yep. >> I would have picked it up, man. >> You're fine. I I appreciate you doing stuff like that, man. But you ain't got to do that when you're when you're feeling like this. All right, man. We're going to start with your right hand. Thumb just straight down. Yep. Just hold it. Good. Okay. And that's going to be four fingers. I'm going to come a little bit angle like that. Come down a little bit. Come over this way. >> Oh, I see. >> There you go. >> Step a little bit back. I'll try. See if you got the magic touch. >> It's nothing you're doing, man. It's this machine. >> Oh, that makes me feel better. >> All right. Middle finger. We still got to do the left hand. >> Oh, it says got to be ring finger. >> My middle finger. It said capture right ring finger. But you grabbed my middle finger. >> When did it take the middle finger? It >> That's what we just did. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I went and took it, but it switched fingers. >> That one was good. Doesn't it look like the city is >> right? >> You did. Yeah. >> I cut it. >> I'm going to make it take it. >> Oh, >> okay. Left hand if it pops up. Okay. Thumbs straight down just like we did in the beginning. Here. So, this is just a little bit of lotion. So, have you just put a little bit on your finger and then rub it on your fingertips for me? Make sure it gets in there pretty good. >> What's it looking for is what I want to know. >> I have no idea. Here, lift your hand up. >> I mean, that's a perfect. You can see it. Perfect. >> I know. Going to try again. Oh, it took it. It took to the left edge of it. >> Yeah. And now I can't go back. >> You know this doesn't get signed, right? >> What's that? >> Last one. >> Yeah. Yeah. All right. Go ahead. >> Go in there. And then um if you want have your knee on there, that's fine. >> Or sit down, whatever you're more comfortable with, man. Oh, sorry, man. Can I take a peek? >> Yeah, in a second. We had to get another set of photos. Step on those footprints. All right, man. Turn and face the bathroom. Turn and face the wall. All right, face the camera again. >> All right, man. So, this is like a If I'm facing the camera, just take two little steps like this. So, you're kind of facing the corner. Perfect. >> All right, man. You can go pee if you want. >> Awesome. >> Just don't want to um close the door. Okay. >> Yeah. >> We need a couple signatures from you. It's not saying you're admitting that due to you know guilty or anything like that. Okay. Just saying these are your fingerprints right there and right there. [Applause] Um so all your property, your wallet, shoes, keys, and then all your clothes and stuff. I just signed on there saying it. That's your property.
