You either open the door, or I'm going to break your window and assist you out of the vehicle. Step out, YOU'RE GETTING HOSED. STEP OUT NOW. OC, OC, OC. In policing, there's one great piece of advice I can always give you. Road rage, avoid it. But if you're alleged to be involved in a road rage incident, and to have allegedly pepper sprayed the other driver, and the police try to contact you, if you barricade inside your car, you're likely going to lose a window and taste some pepper spray yourself. This is one of those. Okay, see, they're not identifying themselves. She rolled her window up, refused to talk to me. He tells me, "Forget you, I ain't identifying myself to you." And that's where we're at now. Okay. He Damage on that vehicle? Just a mirror. Touching mirrors. Sheriff Steppie, I'm not sure where he he came from. He must have been behind me or close to me, cuz then he comes down here. They refused to identify, and then he called supervisor. So, she's refusing to identify herself. >> as there's a passenger in back. He's they're recording, as well as the gentleman in the passenger side. >> not her plate, right? >> Correct. So, she's refusing to identify herself. >> Right. He's refusing to identify himself. >> Okay. For as far as him right now Now, let's not worry about him. Let's worry about her. She's being the driver. She Yeah. This is the sergeant briefing. This is good. This is what what I would arrive to a scene. This is exactly what I would get from my officers to get me up to speed. >> No plate on the vehicle. >> No plate on the vehicle. Yep, that's where we're at. Okay, officer. So, let's let's get her out of the vehicle. Okay. She refuses to come out of the car. All right. Well, we'll get in the vehicle. Okay. We'll we'll have her 25 her. She's not cooperating with us. Okay. And we'll tow the vehicle cuz there's no uh plates on the vehicle. Okay. My next problem is I hope she doesn't try to take off on us because she's not pinned in or anything. So, I'm I'm in front of her. I can Yeah. Once you have your guy, we'll block it block her from going anywhere. Dunphy, you can pull I pull up a little bit closer, maybe? That way she doesn't take off running on us. This is exactly what you want to see. When you watch these videos and the sergeant arrives, command and control. Attorneys who sue police departments will look to see is the situation being worked out by a supervisor. Are you following policy? And it looks like this sergeant is doing a lot of steps to shut the situation down. Sergeant, shut down. It's not a person, it's a mold. And I'm seeing some really good things so far. >> That's good. That's good. Watch yourself, James. Yep. All right, that's good. Hi there. My name's Sergeant Thurston. Ma'am, I'm talking to you. You're the driver. Ma'am, I'm asking you to roll the window down and speak with me. You're the driver of this vehicle. Can you open the door so I can talk to you? >> Watch the gun hand. It's free. I always mention this. Open the door. Open the door, ma'am. I'm trying to speak with you. Ma'am, I'm trying to speak with you. You're the driver of the vehicle. I'm trying to talk to you. I'm asking you to make contact with me on the other side of the vehicle so I can talk with you, okay? Ma'am, can you step out of the vehicle so I can speak with you? Ma'am, I'm asking you to speak to Ma'am, I will be breaking the window and asking pulling you out of the vehicle if you don't cooperate. Ma'am, I'm asking you to open the door on that side. Do you not understand that? >> So, now we're seeing the sovereign stuff. He's saying the window doesn't work, fair enough. But now I see him pulling out the paperwork, the recording, which again, you can do that. You can record, and sometimes it's recommended to record. But here's the thing, when you start throwing that stuff out and don't exit the vehicle and it's a lawful order, you are now creating a serious challenge for yourself. >> Ma'am, I'm asking you for an identification. Now. Open the door. I'm going to break the window. Not a fan of walking in front of the car. Always better to walk behind it for the most part. >> I'm going to break the window and assist you out of the vehicle. You either open the door open the door and speak to me. Open the door speak to me. I'm asking you to identify you. Identify yourself. Do you have a driver's license? Ma'am, you're the driver of the vehicle. I'm talking to you. I'm asking you to open the door and speak to me. I'm not going to continue asking you. I'm going to break your window and assist you out of the vehicle. I'm asking you to open the the door. Okay, if you look in the back, it appears that there's a person and I heard someone mention that there was a youth inside of the vehicle and from tactical perspective, this is a kind of dangerous position for the sergeant to be in, but he's attempting to make contact with the driver. >> Ma'am, I need a driver's license. Sergeant, he's asking if they want to they can deploy OC into the car. Give me 1 sec. small 47, copy of VIN number, please. I re-ran it. No? Yep. Okay. I ran it. Disregard, please. 1429 Atlanta. So, there was no plate on the car, so the sergeant was going to run the VIN, which is the vehicle identification number and through that number, they can get a lot of information on the vehicle. >> Hey, uh Somebody in the back seat, I don't know if it's a child. One 1 sec here, Chris. Is it a child or a male? It's a male. >> 47, we have another unit to assist down here. Walker, I don't know if I want to put OC in there right quick right yet because let's hold off until uh I don't want them to take off, you know what I'm saying? Okay, so let's talk about this. So, what they're saying is with the OC, they're talking about OC spray or pepper spray. Most officers carry it as a less-than-lethal option on their tool belt so that they don't have to go to lethal force and it makes your eyes red, it burns, it's difficult breathing. I've been OC before in training and it's a good idea to do that so that you know what you may experience because remember, if they deploy OC, they're going to have to interact with OC and some people handle it well, some people don't handle it really well. And they said that there's a youth unknown age in the backseat. So, do they want to breach the window, deploy the OC with a youth and depending on what age they are? Because you got to think about these things. Do we want to do it quickly? Do we want to take our time and think [music] through this? So, I think that's what the mindset of the sergeant is at this point and it's good to think through this before you just go, go, go. >> So, do you need a Do we need a baton at this point? >> Well, you have one. Yeah. Put that right into the window and it'll shatter. Perfect. All right. What is it? Like a little clicker? I think so. >> Push it into the window and it'll shatter. All right. I've got the window breaker at the end too. That works. Okay. >> So, that's a window punch. I've shown you them before. You can buy them on Amazon. You just push it against the window and it punches, [music] breaks out the window. It's good to carry those inside your car in case I forbid you get into a vehicle wreck and you have to get out of your vehicle. You can punch it from the inside. It shatters the window. One thing from a tactical perspective is that for officers, you don't have to look each other in the eyes when you're having a lot of conversations. Your eyes should really be focused more on [music] the vehicle cuz you can hear just fine without looking at a person. Keep your eyes focused on the vehicle and the passengers or occupants of the vehicle. If you get into a habit of that, it will become second nature. Repeat it, repeat it, repeat it. >> to shut down? >> to shut it down, yeah. 471187 would just shut westbound traffic down right there. Shut the block off. If you would just log that we made every attempt we can to try to identify the driver who we're using. It's $3,000 to get Uh we're going to make entry into the vehicle. There's something interesting for law enforcement people that I'm going to share at the end. This segment right here is really kind of endemic of a lot of things going on in policing. I see a lot of really good things and some things that I have a little bit of a challenge with, but at the end I'll discuss that. >> And there's three people in the car, two males, one female driver and she won't identify themselves. They're saying they hold up papers saying they're sovereign citizens. We're going to make entry into the front, get the driver out and then we'll I'd like to hook the front passenger up for obstructing with us. >> I've got the window breaker, so I'm going to go ahead and crack the window. >> driver out first, right? Yep. So, I need I'll wait for Malone to get here. But, looks like they're going to have less lethal, but I'm going to We need to have someone to cover. We'll have a couple of them make contact here. There's a young younger male in the back seat. All right. When we open When we go, take the driver, let him know put his hands behind his back, we're going to hit him with OC. Yep. Here's a Here's also Once we We're going to have to get her out and Yep. He's got a knife, is what one of the guys said. That's why I want someone to be covered. Got it. I'm going to go on the other side with somebody and have cover. I don't want any crossfire, so I need She's refusing to open the door, not complying. Break the window. We're going to pull her out and do what we need to do to get her out. Uh She's seatbelted in. The driver's going to be arrested for uh uh failing to identify herself, obstructing. The passenger, front passenger, is going to be the same way. Passenger in the back, there's two males in the vehicle, one front, one back, female driver. 99 traffic, 4799 traffic. 99 traffic, 8855. Okay. >> You're under arrest. Open the door. Mike. Mike. Mike. Stop. Use this hand. You're under arrest. Open the door. STEP OUT. YOU'RE GETTING HOSED. STEP OUT NOW. STEP OUT NOW. STEP OUT. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE NOW. >> WHAT ARE YOU DOING? >> STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE NOW. OC. OC. OC. OC. OC. STEP OUT NOW. STEP OUT NOW. 47 DUI, AUTOMATIC. Step out. You're going to run OUT OF AIR. STEP OUT. STEP OUT OF THE CAR. STEP OUT NOW. STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE. EXIT THE VEHICLE NOW. GET OUT. HEY. THEY'RE TRYING >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. YOU are under arrest. Hands behind your back. You are under arrest. Step out. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. GOT IT. I'M NOT RESISTING. I'm not fighting. You are under arrest. Do not resist arrest. You are under arrest. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. You are under arrest. I'm not resisting. I'm not Hey, don't treat my 15-year-old like that, man. He's not doing anything. I did. I'll give him one second. Be quiet. You are under arrest. None of us are resisting. Be quiet. You are under arrest. None of us are resisting. 47, we have three detained. Clear 99 traffic. I'm going to ask for a second medic. All right. I'll get it. I'll get it. I'll get it. 47. That's too tight on my wrist. We need a second medic, please. What is your name? Ma'am? In custody. Okay, so let's talk about some things. This could have went really, really bad. We hear now that there was a 15-year-old of either both of the parents or at least for sure the male says 15-year-old kid. Are the police in a good space legally to get them out of the car? My opinion, yes. The first question that I asked the sergeant is how many times have you trained reaching a vehicle with your squad in this type of situation? I don't know how many times they done it. I know that police, for the most part, do not train this particular thing. Is there a work around to do something like that? I'll give you one. I've mentioned in another video. There are junkyards in nearly every single jurisdiction and area. Is it possible on a training day to contact a junkyard of vehicles that are going to be junked, stack on the vehicle, reach the window, know who's the breacher, know who's going to open the door, know who's going to be on lethal, know who's going to go hands-on? Cuz I can tell you if that went south, that is going to be one of the the questions. And document that training. So, my critique is for them to be really super smooth and it didn't seem like they were super smooth in doing this. And that's just a constructive criticism cuz I want to see every one of them go home at night. >> You just This should have never happened. Do you hear me? This should have never happened. You should have cooperated with us. Do you have your ID? Right here, right here. Okay. If you would, get a 34 started also. Think about all the resources here, the number of officers and looks like multiple jurisdictions. How many people are waiting for an officer to respond to a domestic dispute, a robbery, or whatever serious felony or violent situation and the officers are tied up on this type of situation. Resource drain is really, really a challenge and people who do these kinds of things, hopefully they think about that. There are other people that really need the police resource. >> Can I get you to uh No, Tina's here. Ma'am, if you had any pictures taken start taking pictures of this vehicle here. We have pepper sprayed I think three people. We need them checked out. They're not cooperating. They uh they're like sovereign citizens type people so We pepper sprayed like three people, one female, two males. Hey, do me a favor, Mr. Rhymer. Uh don't come down this way for me, all right? I wanted to I was talking to him I said I said you want your stuff out there. He sprayed me in the face instead of getting out. All right. Do me a favor. All right. I'll go. I'll stay back there. Actually, yeah. Just go ahead and sit in your truck. We'll come and get you. It's dripping down my leg. I got a freaking cut on the glass. Training, know use of gloves. How are they GOING TO STOP [ __ ] SPEAKING? Spray me in the face. Shut your mouth. Hey. I ain't got to watch my mouth. Freedom of speech. Dude, I don't understand that. [ __ ] you, dude. 11-766 So, if you stop right here and you look at this on the back of the vehicle, classic sovereign stuff. Exempt from levy, every stop is a custodial arrest. Your obedience is prolonging this nightmare. These are good ones. These let you know everything you need to know about the person that you're going to be approaching. And this is placed here by design for an officer to see on the approach. >> 652297, are you 652297? A picture of those should be impounded as evidence. >> Make sure you get pictures of that mirror and everything. As far as the height We'll probably need to still do a 272402. Obviously, with everything else, cuz that was how everything originated. >> Yeah, so the other truck didn't really have any damage. They like clipped mirrors. There's no There's no damage on that mirror, either, but >> What I saw, I was two cars back and I saw them dueling for the position. >> Yeah, that's what you said. >> him The one car, he continued straight while they went around him. Everything. He's all right. Get some floor pictures, too. Dude, this is a bad situation. I mean, I don't know what else to say. This This is terrible. This has never happened. And my question to you is, why did you let this get that far? >> I'm not answering any questions. All right. Listen, I I'm just trying to talk to you. Cuz this This I hope this never happens to you or anyone in the in the future. This is terrible. This should never happen. Does this normally happen or are you guys statements like you're a sovereign citizen or something to that effect? >> The hair should be in a bun. If you engage in people, especially the state woman is handcuffed in the front. Some jurisdictions they could do that. With the hair all down like that, you already know what I'm thinking. >> It's not beneficial for you to do that. You can't drive without a license plate as far as much as you think. You cannot do that. Brian should be Brian's okay. Yeah. Look at the mess that you've This has created. And now you have your son, Brian, who's just 15 years old. This should have never happened. You have an ID. You should have just cooperated. But, you'd already been at home partying in your chair. You don't want to talk, I understand. I mean, I feel that you're kind of Are you under control of your husband or where you can't If you don't feel like talking, I can >> I'm not going to answer you. All right, I'm just trying to I'm just trying to be I'm trying to be empathetic to you, I guess, a little bit. I'm trying to put myself in your situation. I don't know if there's issues that to where you feel like you're in danger to talk for I don't want to talk. I could use the restroom. All right. Well, we'll get you there. See, I'm just trying to I'm a human being trying to talk to you. I just happen to be a police officer as my job. Put all that aside, I'm just trying to talk to you. It's all I'm trying to do. I understand that. The more you cooperate, the better off you would be. Do you have a driver's license? So, if you're that set dead set in your ways of your thinking, you should have Why would you Why bother getting a driver's license? This was totally avoidable. And one of those situations where if you know someone that's so headstrong and they're going to behave like this in public, they need to see this video. This is not a win, and I can assure you this didn't just end with them going to jail. The broken window, the car getting towed, the fines, and everything else that goes along with this. And the worst part is that the 15-year-old sees the parents in that kind of situation [music] and has to deal with that trauma going forward in life. And hopefully, he makes a different and a better choice. We see the charges on this one, the disorderly conduct, the resisting, the obstructing. And then, there's the possibility that Child Protective Services might get notified. But there's something else that's interesting. This started off with a road rage type situation where allegedly, the male pepper sprays another driver. The irony that he gets pepper sprayed by the police by his behavior. This is saying that I learned in the Marine Corps a long time ago, do so, don't like do [music] so. You do something to someone else, but you don't like when it's done to you. Like, subscribe, share, and click on the video that's on your screen for [music] more content just like this.
