Wanted person. Please don't piss me off. >> You going to put your hands on me with A CONCUSSION? >> STOP. >> YOU'RE RESISTING. >> THIS IS CRAZY. >> WE'VE ALL heard the term the straw that broke the camel's back. And in policing, that straw is often the car stop that we conduct. And if a person decides to deal with that frustration by yelling and screaming and resisting the officer, the result is likely going to be a tasing, taken into custody, and a trip down to jail. This is one of those. >> Hey. >> Hi. >> Hey. I'm Officer Bergens, Coral Springs Police. >> Oh, I know you guys. >> 3031 >> Reason I stopped you is man, that when when you're in a two-lane road and there's a bus that's at that has that stop sign out, you got to stop. >> 1450 >> Yeah, I'm trying to get to the gas station, bro. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you? I I mean, I know who you are, but do you have an ID, man? >> I don't have it on me. >> Okay. Okay, driving past a school bus when they have the stop signs out, for me, that was almost a guaranteed ticket. Kids can easily be passing through there. No excuse. And if your excuse is that you're almost out of fuel, that's definitely not an excuse that's going to help you in most situations. The stop sign is out on the school bus, you stop. Shout out to school bus drivers. How y'all been doing? >> any way you can like follow us to the gas station so we don't end up stranded here? >> If something I mean >> We're literally 100% out of gas now. >> Okay, we'll figure it out. >> My I'm going to be 100% honest, my license is actually expired. >> Is it expired or suspended? >> Or suspended. >> Suspended? Okay. Do you have a license, miss? >> Yeah, she does. >> Can I get your social? >> Yeah, I was stressing about the car. >> Okay. Okay. Hey, I appreciate you being honest. Um then there's no reason for me to tow the car if you have a valid license. >> Yeah. >> You do? Okay. Well >> I've been driving until literally a couple minutes ago, so it's it's kind of >> All right. Okay, really good stuff here to talk about. One is the driver said, "I'm going to be honest with you, my license is expired. And the officer very astutely responded, is it expired or suspended? Very, very different. Expired can mean I was supposed to get my license renewed yesterday and I just forgot. Suspended means that you likely committed some type of infraction. So, very, very different things, but the officer was on it. Good stuff. But, let's 20/20 hindsight this whole situation. So, I'm looking at this whole thing, and this is what the officer has to deal with, and that's why I want to talk about this, is that we have this young couple that was sitting in this car. It looks like it's August, so it's hot. Windows are down. They're about to run out of fuel. So, their stress level is already a little bit high. But, what I like is that the officer is really understanding that this is likely a frustrating situation for them, and he knows that this car stop is going to be even more frustrating, and he's being incredibly kind and respectful as he's interacting with them. And I said that you can be kind, respectful, and tactical, and it looks like the officer is being tactical in his engagement with them. And so, even when he says there's no need to tow the car, ma'am, you have a driver's license. Like, this is really, really good stuff in policing. You can always do it and be tactical. >> Wanted person. DL status invalid. >> I didn't catch a lot of that. What was the 10-4? >> This is Joe Wallace, FTA/DOC. >> Okay. >> Stolen. >> Got you. >> Already called front desk, and they do want him. >> Okay. Cool. And then, she's >> She is supposedly a valid driver. Yes, there's a kid in there. Let me double-check her real quick. What I'm probably going to do is have them switch first, and then once he's out of the car, I'm going to tell him. >> Okay. >> Cuz I don't want him doing anything crazy in the car with the kid. >> Yeah. >> Okay, that's Rebecca. >> She good? >> Yeah, she's valid. >> Cool. >> Definitely want to talk about this. This is really good stuff that I'm seeing here. Okay, first of all, I want to say when he said FTA/DOC, so FTA failure to appear, DOC disorderly conduct. So, there was a failure to appear. He was supposed to show up in court for disorderly conduct charge, apparently, and didn't appear, so that's why a warrant is issued under the circumstances, and that's what it sounds like from the officer. He said he called the front desk and confirmed because if there is a warrant, it still has to be confirmed, but sometimes a warrant could still be in the system, but it on the back end it was taken out for whatever reason a person talked to a clerk at the judge's I mean, could be a lot of reasons. Sometimes I've had warrants and they don't confirm them. And at that point, it's really not a warrant that you could take a person in. But here is something that's incredibly important under the circumstances cuz it sounds like they have some history with this guy. The officer did something very cool. What he did was he has a plan. He has a plan on how he wants to do this and takes into consideration all that's going on. He says that there are kids in the car. He's going to ask them to switch so that he doesn't let on that he's going to book them on the warrant and that it doesn't cause a situation in front of the kids. And he has an additional unit there prior to doing all this so you don't have to get someone to run code to get to you. I've mentioned that so many times. He discusses his plan and he puts on gloves. So he's really prepared to go into this situation because if it goes south, defense attorneys, I appreciate you watching and reaching out to me. You guys do your thing. These are the things that they look for. If it goes south, this is exactly what they're going to look for. Did he have a plan? Cuz if you don't, that's where they're going to go after you. Thanks. >> Police dispatch. >> can you hop in the driver seat? You guys got two little ones? No kidding. >> Another really good one. He didn't say driver step back to me. He says Rebecca, hop in the driver seat. And this guy might think that hey, maybe I'm still not necessarily going. Gets her in the driver seat and see as how it goes. And then he does the distraction of oh, you got two kids to kind of take the focus on anything about taking them into custody. Good stuff so far. >> Hey Mr. Wallace, you don't got no knives or nothing on you? Okay. You got a warrant through Stow Municipal Court. You didn't go to court for some DOC ticket or something. So, you think you think Rebecca can post $150 for you? You think you guys got 150? >> I mean, I'm not really worried about it. >> That was another good one, solution-based. Say, "You think Rebecca has 150?" Things to get him away from freaking out about the fact that he's going, cuz I believe they have history with this guy. And to get him into cuffs without having to have any kind of tussle is a good effort. >> You mean like you're not worried how? Like you'll you'll be able to post it? Hey, and this was the only reason why it'll be kind of a big deal is because it's Friday. And you would want to post that. >> By what time today? >> What'd you say? >> By what time? You can post it at any time. >> You can post the bond at any time. It's $150 last I checked, 10% of 1,500. >> Wait, it don't matter that it's the weekend? >> Well, you you can bond him out at any moment. >> What'd you say? >> Except except right now. >> Yeah, except right now. Um Technically, you have So, I have to take him through the booking procedure. That way it takes the warrant away. And then print out a bond paper for him, give it to him so he can >> come right to the police station. >> matter that he has a concussion right now and I have no idea what I don't even know what his birthday is. Like what is this about they said? >> It's a failure to appear on disorderly conduct, that's all. >> Okay. >> Yeah, it's nothing crazy. >> Yeah, I mean I don't know. >> Well, for what it's worth, we'd rather not hold you in jail all weekend, you know? >> The temperature is now changing and the proximity of the male to the female is a challenge. This is an ideal time to get him over to the patrol car away from her, cuz the energy between the two of them can cause challenges. So, a tactic that could potentially work and I don't I'm not talking about this specific situation. This is this officer's call, but a tactic that I've used before that can work is to say, "Hey, let's go over to my car. Let's take a look at the computer and see if there's a way that we can expedite this process." It's fair, it's reasonable, and you get over to the patrol car and you deal with them over there. And you don't have the energy back and forth with the male and the female, and you still don't necessarily know what's inside of the vehicle. Always thinking tactical, the key is getting them separated at this point cuz I could see the temperature has definitely changed. >> Rebecca, do you have 150? >> I'm sure. >> All right. >> Okay. I'm sure. >> Do you want a squad? You said you you have a ambulance. >> When he says squad, I think in this jurisdiction when they say squad, I think they mean medical or ambulance. >> He's had a concussion. He's had it He's on workers' comp right now. He's not even supposed to be driving. He literally just helped me out because the car's It don't even matter. I'm literally going to run out of gas sitting here with you guys. >> Do you want an ambulance? Joe? >> I don't think he wants an ambulance. It doesn't really make sense. I was saying that they don't even have a freaking >> Y'all chill with me. >> When did this concussion happen? >> It don't even matter. Y'all being nosy for no And at this point, it don't even matter. Now, you already know how I function. I've been compliant. Now, you don't piss me off. >> I'm asking you questions. >> Please don't piss me off. >> I'm just trying to >> Please don't piss me off. Please don't >> Okay. >> piss me off. >> the dodge thing about when it was and >> I've been compliant. >> Okay. >> Oh, here's this >> Mr. Wallace, can you please put the phone down? >> For what? I got to figure out my money. >> Okay, so something that we definitely have to think about. This guy's definitely starting to get more aggressive. It looks like he saw another officer off camera and he said, "Oh, this one." So, like that didn't seem like they had a good interaction. So, let's think about the tools, less lethal tools that we have. Likely we have taser, likely we have pepper spray. But, from where we're at, are those going to be effective or even reasonable with the kids, which I believe that there are toddlers in the backseat, and where the female is positioned. Things that we have to take into consideration. >> We'll figure it out back at the station, okay? >> No, I can't figure it out at the station. >> You're getting really like excited, and we're just talking to you like >> of this guy. I'm getting really excited. >> He doesn't like you. He doesn't >> I'm getting excited I'm getting really excited. I'm getting really excited. That's what you're going to say to me now? >> Mr. Wallace, can we now focus on words? Can we just get like this objective done, which is you bonding out, we take you back. >> How do I about to bond out and you telling me I got to put my phone down? >> Cuz we'll give you a chance to call at the station. >> got all my access to all the people that I need to talk to right here. You dumb >> Phone's going to come with you. >> Man, I'm not playing this game with you all today, man. I'm doing what the I got to do right the now. Period. >> Mr. Wallace >> So, y'all going to let me do what the I got to do right now. Period. You going to put your hands on me with a concussion? >> Mr. Wallace >> You going to put your hands on me with a concussion? >> arrest, okay? >> put your hands on me with a concussion? >> You're under arrest. >> You going to put your hands on me with a concussion? >> Mr. Wallace, you're under arrest. >> I work for the city, man. >> Okay. >> You going to put your hands on me with a concussion? >> He can. He's just getting really >> put your hands on me with a concussion? Really? Y'all going to put your hands on me with a concussion? Y'all going to play tough with me with a concussion? >> None of us have even walked towards you. >> Bro, you going to tell me I'm under arrest and I know I'm under arrest. >> Okay, but what I'm saying is >> I'm under arrest. So, why are you telling me I'm under arrest? >> You got to comply with our orders, man. >> am I not complying for? What am I not complying with? >> Okay, so here's an order then. You're under arrest, turn around for 10 minutes. That's the order. >> Man. Y'all [ __ ] [ __ ] >> I got to leave. Is it >> Like I said, bro. Like I said, bro. >> And you'll have the opportunity. Hey, calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. No. He's staying here. He's staying here. Mr. Wallace, put your hands behind your back. Mr., stop. Stop. Things worse. Well, yeah. Why are we like this? Mr. Wallace Turn around for me. Mr. Wallace, turn around for me. We're going to do all that. Yes. IT'S A $150. OKAY. WE HOW THIS GOES YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. OKAY? Turn around Mr. Wallace. Mr. Wallace, please turn around. Turn around. Please to Okay. I'm Can you please Please turn around. Can you PLEASE TURN AROUND? TURN AROUND. TURN AROUND. MR. WALLACE, TURN AROUND. TURN AROUND. Turn around, Mr. Wallace. >> So, I want to freeze right here. I'm going to take a look at where the Taser is pointed. Look at where the female is extended outside of the vehicle like where the male is. And I say this just because I know we have new viewers, but I went to Taser instructor school. Taser's a very effective tool. I am a fan. Three things can happen with this model of Taser for sure. One is you get the male with both probes, you get the male and female with one probe each, or you can get two probes on the female, or you could completely miss. I guess that there are four options. But, under the circumstances, the female being in the position she's in is definitely causing challenges. She is making the situation much worse. >> Why do you have >> Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. STOP. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. STOP. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. STAY ON THE GROUND. STAY ON THE GROUND. >> YOU just tased me in front of my son, bro. I'm not resisting, [screaming] bro. I'm not resisting, bro. >> Can we get a squad out here? >> I'M NOT RESISTING, BRO. >> COPY. >> I'M NOT RESISTING, BRO. HOW THE DID I RESIST, BRO? >> WE EXPLAINED IT. >> I RESIST, BRO. I DID I RESIST? >> WE EXPLAINED IT. >> I RESIST. >> HEY GUYS, HEY, let's let's take over. The squad's going to [music] take those probes out of him. >> If it wasn't clear enough by the taser going flying through the air, the things have gotten extraordinarily out of hand. In a moment, it's about to get significantly more dangerous. But, danger takes many forms, and one of the most powerful ones is online. You see, every year millions of people have their confidential information leaked online. And as we speak, there are possibly hundreds of websites trying to sell your information. And that's on top of all the places where it's already been exposed and there for the taking. However, Incogni works by scraping internet and finding exactly where you've been exposed, and immediately sends take down demands to help wipe your information from the internet within days. And setting up an account is as simple as registering and authorizing them to work on your behalf. And once you've done that, Incogni will go to work scrubbing all your information from these websites. And often, there's a lot more information out there than most people realize. [music] Plus, with their unlimited plan's new custom removal feature, you can request specific links. And Incogni's team will take care of them for you. And I know just how dangerous it can be to have your information out there on the internet because someone tried to impersonate me to try to extort a close family member of mine. So, take your personal data back with Incogni. [music] And use code Sergeant Curtis by scanning the QR code or through the link below and get 60% off an annual plan. >> Man, that taser is That taser is Here. >> I'll beat the I only got I'll beat I'll beat the I'll beat the >> I know. >> I'll beat the I'll beat the I'll beat the I'll beat the Watch out. STOP TALKING AND BE POLITE. RIGHT TO THE STOP TALKING AND BE AND I GOT A TAT, BRO. AND I GOT AND I GOT MEDICAL. AND I GOT MEDICAL. AND I GOT MEDICAL. >> I GOT >> AND I GOT MEDICAL. >> left ankle. >> And I got And I got medical. >> medical joke. >> I NEED MEDICAL. I NEED MEDICAL. I NEED MEDICAL. HEY. CALL MY LAWYER. CALL MY LAWYER. CALL MY LAWYER. >> CLEAR ON THIS SIDE. >> CALL MY LAWYER. >> CLEAR ON THE LEFT. Have a seat. >> Hey. I don't feel good, bro. I don't feel good, bro. I don't feel >> Hey, if he wants to stay right there, that's fine. That squad's coming. >> in custody-ish because he's not inside the vehicle, so I'm just going to say ish at this point. Some definite things to cover on this, especially with this use of force. Okay, I think I counted eight times where the officer said, "Turn around. Turn around. Turn around." And he was on repeat with the turn around. And the other two officers were on either arm. Three of the times that the officer gave the command to turn around, it would have been almost impossible for the subject to turn around because we have officers on opposing arms. And I understand that sometimes you get tunnel vision under those circumstances. It's something to take into mind, especially when you debrief this. The other thing that I'm noticing is when they took him into custody. So, right here we can see that the taser was deployed and you can clearly see where both probes hit the subject. One in the upper body and one in the groinish area, but it's clear that it didn't make a complete connection because there's no neuromuscular incapacitation. A lot of people don't realize that with the taser, just because the probes strike, there has to be the NMI, enough spread and the probes have to be in enough in order to lock up the body. His body wasn't locked up because you can clearly see that he attempts to pull out one of the probes. So, a lot of people probably also wonder how he was tased and the officers didn't feel the effect and that's called cuffing under power. So, cuffing under power, you can cuff a person while they're being tased and not receive any of the shock. This as long as it's cycling between the two probes, it's going to cycle between those two probes [music] into the person that is being tased. It looks like one of the probes probably didn't enter all the way [music] to cause the actual effect of the taser cuz he was still moving around. It looks like the officers were able to take him down at that point. One other thing that's interesting is that the officer's command when he deployed the taser wasn't what I normally hear, which is taser, taser, taser to let the officers know that you're about to deploy the taser. It's not by policy in a lot of places, it's just something that is recommended many times so that officers know that you're about to deploy the taser. Some departments may have something like that as a policy, but it's just not practical in every circumstance, but I didn't hear it under this one. I was a little bit surprised actually when the taser went off. >> He has a brain injury and you just did that. >> You're getting cited for wrongful and trespass and if you impede our investigation, you're going to get arrested, okay? >> I just told you. >> I AM A HAZARD TO PROTECT. He has a >> I've called this person the chaos companion, not this specific person, this behavior is the chaos companion. Seen it from the front seat and the back seat. Charging her under the circumstances would be very appropriate. From my training and experience, her behavior also escalated this situation. >> I'm telling y'all I got a concussion, bro. What [music] hurts? I'm telling y'all I GOT A CONCUSSION. >> I HEAR YOU. >> I GOT A CONCUSSION. >> I HEAR YOU. >> NO, Y'ALL NOT HEARING ME, BRO. Y'ALL NOT HEARING ME. >> YOU SAID YOU'RE NOT FEELING >> YOU TASTE SOMEBODY WITH A CONCUSSION? >> SO, WHAT ELSE >> YOU TASTE SOMEBODY WITH A CONCUSSION? Y'ALL GETTING A LAWSUIT, BRO. >> We could have just handcuffed you. >> a lawsuit, bro. >> have been way easier. >> a lawsuit, bro. Y'all getting a big old lawsuit, bro. >> Sit up, you >> Y'all getting a real big lawsuit, bro. You going to keep telling me what to do, bro? >> Yeah, I'm trying >> You going to keep telling me what to do, bro? You going to keep telling me what bro, I'm beating your when I see you in the streets. I'm beating No, I'm not. No, I'm not. >> Yes, you are. >> I'm not. >> Absolutely not. >> No, I'm not. >> What are you doing? >> No, I'm not. NO, I'M NOT. NO, I'M NOT. >> HEY, ARE YOU GUYS OKAY? >> AND all this stuff. >> No, I'm not. >> You're not being cooperative. >> He wasn't not. >> He said a concussion for this long because I I I know you and Mr. Wallace and he said a concussion for like the last 2 years. >> He had a concussion since the 16th of last month. >> Okay. Like he said a concussion that bad that he should have >> his [ __ ] from childhood is not the same. He is in and out of the hospital. >> Hey, is this your car? Whose metal plate is that? >> That is my old plate holding up my current plate. >> And And that car is registered in mom's name? >> Yes, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> She She's good to go. >> on the insurance. Thank you. >> Okay. Do you have Do you have insurance with you? >> Just clarifying it, man. >> phone, but I don't have Can you pull it up? >> No, because I don't have >> for his sake. It's for Okay. All right. Well, just make sure you tell him to bring it to court, okay? And you're free to You're free to go. >> not leaving him. You just tased him. >> going to jail. >> He has to go to the hospital. >> Yeah, EMS will determine that. >> tased him. He has a brain bleed. >> If he had a brain bleed, he wouldn't be functioning like he is. >> But we need you to leave the scene. Cuz we're >> leaving until he leaves. >> We need you to leave. >> I'm not leaving until he leaves. >> You mean like until one of us take him? That's all >> Yes, until I know he's somewhere safe with the hospital. >> Right, he's that's where he'll be going. >> Like what do you mean? He just had an appointment 2 days ago. His neurology appointment is in a week and a half. You guys are trying to tell me how they >> Babe. Babe. Babe. I love you. I love you. I'm going. >> They're telling me you're not. >> Oh, I'm going. >> They're telling me you're not. >> Oh, I'm going. I have to. >> This is Mr. Joseph Wallace. He's got two He's got two probes in him and he's very explosive, so >> I have to go. >> So, you've heard me mention the term before incarceritis. It's something that people often get when they feel that they will go to the hospital as opposed to going to jail. I don't know the extent of his injuries, but it's interesting that he's able to have the cognition to say I love you, change from behavior to behavior, and say that he needs to go to the hospital. It's not my call. I'm not a medical professional. I respect their decision and I would have them make the decision, but in policing many times this would be called incarceritis. >> But, I think he's more Um It's okay like a chain. You good? >> That's fine. I don't I don't I'm not going to feel safe. >> I'll call I'll I'll call EMS. >> I I I don't think so. >> They're getting tired. Dude, look at them shaking. >> I definitely want to stand for a minute. I have a right to stand up. I'm going to lean on the car. Can I lean on the car, please? Can I please lean >> Right there. There's a seat right here for you. >> Like god damn, BRO. YOU GOT TO get like I'm patient. LET ME CALL THE PHONE. BRO, SHUT THE SHUT THE BRO, YOU ARE THE MOST ANNOYING COP I'VE EVER SEEN in my god damn life. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE IS YOUR ISSUE, BRO? RETIRE. GO TO HELL. >> VOODOO HEX on you. 223 in a tech 22. Young dude stepped on you. >> Hey, what's your first name, man? >> Yo. >> Yo. Hey, Jay, you got to let me take your blood pressure real quick. It It put pressure on you. You going to be cooperative? >> I'm cooperating. Now, am I not cooperating? I'm shaking my head. >> All right. We're going to put it on your arm, all right? >> This guy was ready the whole time. >> I was. Stay ready. >> Listen to him. He's on his little >> We tased him. >> He's such a little >> We told him >> How the >> like two dozen times to turn around, put his hands behind his head. He was screaming. They went hands-on on both sides. He's still pulling away, not listening to him. So, I tased him. >> Okay. >> Talking about the taser again, the suspect said the taser ain't s h i t. So, the taser ain't nothing, basically. He said that because the taser didn't have its full effect on him. He said it ain't nothing. So, I'm hoping he doesn't think that in the future if he engages a taser that he can defeat it. Because the taser just either gave him just localized pain in one small area or the two probes didn't enter the body completely. Because the taser is the real deal. It can hurt really, really badly. And if it's an MI, your body's locked up. >> What about while you had the taser pointed at him the whole time he was compliant? The whole time he was trying to get $50 together so he doesn't have to sit there all weekend. We need him. >> That was after I told him he was under arrest. I I I'm not playing the games. I mean, >> I'm not worried about your games. IT'S ALL ON VIDEO, YOU LITTLE >> It is on video. On this video. >> I'm not worried about that. >> How? I literally told you guys that I have stuff going on with my head. >> We were trying to avoid it. >> No, you don't know. You guys don't understand. >> We may not understand. But, we told you to do something, Jay. You got to do it. >> don't understand. My head. You guys don't understand. >> Joe, I don't I'm not in your head, Joe. I don't know what you're thinking. I don't know what you're feeling. All right? >> It's my head. >> But you got to listen to us, Joe. >> I was No, I wanted to. I wanted to. I just wanted to I wanted to do it a lot easier. I wanted to end >> too. >> in front and not in the back. I wanted that. I wasn't trying to resist. I promise. >> Well, we're not in your head, you know. We don't know your intentions. >> not even about being in my head. >> We got to be safe, okay? >> about being in my head. >> Okay. >> It's not about that. >> Okay. >> I'm telling you that it's literally in my >> Yeah, you're good. >> No, wait. It's literally No. >> So, what I know >> Can you hear me out? >> Yes, I can. Put your feet in while we do so. All right? And then like you had your hands in front of you. We saw that. But in your head, like what you were thinking was, "Hey, let's do this easy. Let's just put the hands up in the front, right?" But from our perspective, it was you not listening to us. >> can't even talk to my fiance. I can't do any of that. No. >> So, what >> I can't talk to my kids or nothing. >> We'll get you back there. We'll just run through some of the paperwork. All right? All right? I think we're telling her she can come to the station right now and try to figure some stuff out. We'll tell her we're going to let her >> Wait, that means that I'm going to be in jail for a long time. >> Till Monday at the latest. >> Uh-huh. >> All right? Unless she's going to be business hours, all right? >> You're going to give me more charges. >> I know a lot of people are watching this and they're wondering, why is he still talking to him? I mean, could he just shut the door and can they just head off to jail? Yeah, they can, absolutely. And let me just tell you why I think they may be being this way with this guy. Because in my dress uniform it's called a code five, where a person is angry and freaking out all the way to the jail and you have to advise the jail that the person is going to be difficult. They have COs and a nurse waiting to put them inside of a restraint chair and it causes a serious situation down jail. And I don't know that's why he's de-escalating this guy or talking to him in this manner. Maybe that's just his personality. But the jail staff really appreciates when the patrol people don't bring in people who are all amped up. So, for whatever reason he's doing it, if it accomplishes the task that this guy calms down and they can get him booked in really easily. Remember, your best ability is availability. If you have to spend another 45 minutes dealing with this guy just to get him through the sally port and at the booking, it's definitely going to be a huge challenge. >> Doesn't mean you're convicted of anything right now. You're being charged on it. And then once you go to the court on Monday, you can talk to them about everything. You can talk to them >> You don't even understand what's going on with my head right now. I literally have meds for my head right now that I should have been taking. Like I literally have headaches that I literally have like >> Where are the meds? Where are the medications? Where's the medication? >> Oh my god, dude. I have splitting headaches right now. >> Is it at home or is it in the car? All right, I'll ask her, okay? See if she's got some meds for you. >> [screaming] >> So, you've heard me say the term for policing, take care of the misdemeanors and the felonies will take care of themselves. All of those things that I say there are applications to us in our civilian personal life. The misdemeanor taking care of here would have simply being fill up your gas tank before you end up running out of gas, then you're not going to create this urgency that in your mind you think you're justified to drive past the stop sign on a school bus. Take care of the misdemeanors in your life, you don't have to deal with the felonies going forward. Looking at the original video, which is pinned, it says that the charges were obstructing official business, menacing, and resisting, and then the traffic charges on top. And then the initial thing of running out of gas is still the thing that they had to deal with in the first place. Take care of the misdemeanors and the felonies will take care of themselves. Seen so many videos of people who act in this manner where one poor choice in the beginning cascades into a series of other ones, and it's usually people before they've reached a lot of maturity in life. And it looks like this guy could really use some significant maturity, especially being a parent. I hope that he makes some changes because life is going to continue to get tougher on him if he continues to make choices like this.
