On New Year's Day 2023, a deputy from the Brown County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle around 4:00 a.m. for making an unsafe lane change. I don't know why they didn't pass him, but uh Okay. Um He I was able to use International Interpreters. Okay. Um I called them three times, and the third time they finally answered, but he wouldn't even like listen to them on the phone. Okay. Um but he told me that he had 10 drinks, 10 beers between 7:00 p.m. and a half hour ago. Okay. And he doesn't know where he is. Um and he's coming from a house going to his house. Oh. All right. So, Six of those 10 beers are cashed on me. Yeah. They're they're most of them are still in the car. Okay. So, um I would love to get him out and do field sobriety tests. Okay. Do you understand the instructions? He's going to try. Well, while you're completing the test, keep your arms down at your side. Your eyes on your feet. Count your steps out loud. And don't stop until you've completed the test. Do you understand the instructions? He can begin. I'll go over the test. The next test is called the one leg stand test. Can you stand with your feet together and your heels and toes touching with your arms at your side? Stay in that position. I'll give you instructions and I'll have you complete When I tell you to begin, you're going to raise the foot of your choice. Approximately 6 in off the ground like mine is here. Keep your foot parallel or flat and level to the surface like mine is here. And keep both legs straight. When you're in that position, I want you to count out loud 1,001, 1,002, 1,003 and keep counting until I tell you to stop. Does he understand the instructions? All right. He can raise the foot of his choice and begin counting when he's ready. You can put his foot down. Can you ask him does he still live on Dance Avenue? Is he willing to give a sample of his breath for a preliminary breath test? Take a deep breath and blow into the tube as hard as you can. Blow, don't suck. Blow.
