We would have eye drops come up missing. And we would like either dilation drops or things like that. >> Are those of value? No, I mean no, they just make your eyes big and everything. You wouldn't want to take them. Do you have any employee that you suspect I mean would be responsible for this? And why? I got Okay. Thank you, guys. Thank you. Have a good day. Hi. Hi. >> It's me. It's me. All right. >> What do we got going on? Um so, when we came in and opened this morning, my employee realized the door wasn't locked. Okay. The alarm code was not set, so it wasn't beeping like it normally is. And then, when she turned on lights and things and proceeded, she saw things were kind of disarray. Okay. Um What exactly was disarray? So, this display here all of this truck facing part was like all disrup- I had taken I was going to say Oakley's. And then, as you can see, there's holes in here. This is always very full, so we know about theft or not. So, these missing holes are all missing. Okay. And then, um Five sets of Oakley's? >> Our cash drawer has a key that's in our front desk area. Uh-huh. All of the drawers were open to find said key. Okay. >> Key is gone, but this the cash was still here. Okay. Do you guys have any cameras inside? We do, but they unplugged it. Okay. And we don't have access to the actual footage. Like there's a code that you have to put in. And so when I got put on as a manager, the manager before me was fired. So we weren't able to see any of that stuff. Okay. Okay. Um do you have an itemized list like how much they took or not? >> we put it So when I talked to the first detective, they said not to touch anything. So I could do inventory, but I did run the inventory. But we just haven't cross-referenced what it is that's missing. Okay. And obviously he's not touching stuff because we don't think anything over here was taken. Like he was just helping the patient. So Okay. So I don't actually know what taken from over here. Stop what you're doing. Put it at your desk or on whatever. Put it yourself. Okay. But this is already one thing that I always keep full because this is an easy way for me to see if something was taken if patient was here. Okay. Um but let me see. Let me show you something over here. So the main thing now is we can't open the store because I don't actually know if I have cash in my cash drawer. Right. They might have taken it. You saw them check? We don't have the key. >> have the key. So I'd have to literally break it in order to see. And so this is how they >> Where's the cash drawer at? It's in my office. Or not the cash drawer, but the where the key is located. >> Here, right now. And I was told for you guys to have to do a fingerprinting if you needed to or whatever you. But this is what it looked like and this is supposed to be how it was. Yeah, the problem is there's like a thousand people who touched this. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> And then like she walked back and this is a Like you have to be very careful when you open the drawer what have you. Right. But this is how the drawer was when she got here. Okay. Like opened like this. So besides this main area, nothing back there has been touched. No, the other drawers are fine. And it's like it's not like it's right here. It's at the very back of the safe. >> Sorry, do you mind if I come back in a little bit? Was the drawer open? >> Yeah. Yeah, all of them. Just this drawer or all of them? She had pictures. She was the first one that opened >> Is it Is it safe? >> Okay, so it's >> other one right there. So that's these drawers. Gotcha. And those are my drawers over there. And what do these go to? >> That's to another safe that we have, but there's nothing in that safe, but okay. It's It's literally just a small bolt key. It's very, very small. You don't have the combo? It's not in the safe. It's the upper the one over there. This one? Yep. Yeah, see, and like you could just pull it. There's never anything in that one. And that was unlocked? Mhm. So they did look in there. Mhm. Okay. >> That would be my guess. But there was nothing actually in there. Right, correct. You shouldn't wait that long. Hey, Mom. I hate that they have these orange peel style like coatings on these safes cuz you can never freaking pull a print off of them. Unless we can see it and photograph one. But why did you shut it again? Trying to see if they even got in there. I don't know if they have a safe. That's probably easy to pry open. Step one, step two, control. I don't know what these are. I don't see a print. We had that safe I believe before that box. Okay. I think. I'm pretty sure cuz of a different incident. Okay. And you don't know of anyone who would know the the access where where the key was? Um no. I mean only employees would know where the keys are. Okay. Or ex-bosses, right? Or that. Um what you call it? So we had carpet cleaners here on Friday, but we had somebody close this up after them, so it wasn't them. And then we have regular cleaners that come in on Sundays. Why doesn't this work again? Can you tell me again? The passcode. I don't know the passcode. Oh, okay. Does the assistant manager know? Does the owner know the passcode? We need to go help the people at the door or somebody's at the door. And lock the door after you're done, please. Say it again, please. >> Does the owner have the passcode? I know this has gotten real messy. Okay. So door was unlocked. That's right. Can you walk him to downstairs? Door was unlocked. Code was off. And then the doors were open. Who normally locks up? Um so after the cleaners, I had an employee lock up on Friday cuz we had carpet cleaning on Friday. So she locked up and armed the building. So we had to wait till they were done. She checked everything. >> have access to see if the this system was armed or not? >> Yes. >> You can go up So you do know that it was on. >> can call them and ask them for a log of like >> Have you done that? I haven't done it but they said to wait for you guys to get here. >> go ahead and do that. Give them a call. Uh a log would be great. >> Okay. Um cuz if she in did fact lock it >> lock it and and put the code in, I'd like to see who So the hard part to that is three of us share four of us share the same code. This just keeps getting better. It does. And this is because somebody got hired before me. So when I got put on, nobody said, "Hey, this is the code because all this is she got hired." So she could have showed me the codes to how to change codes or what have you. >> Well, we can at least confirm if it was Exactly. >> used or not. >> Correct. Yep. Okay. Let's do that. And then let's get the inventory. Okay. Uh so those two things will be your homework. Okay. Um yeah, this is hard. There's not I know. I just want to say that she came Yeah. >> Yeah, this is going to be an insurance claim more than anything else at this point. Without without video, I'm not going to be able to pull a print off that safe. >> but Um it's too orange peeled. They don't stick. Now if I can see Okay. >> Yeah, you can't lift one but you can sometimes photograph them and then like that might work but I don't see anything on it. I knew I knew it would be messy. I this is And I Do you have any reason to believe or anybody that you would be suspicious of? Here, come inside. Do you have any employee that you suspect I mean would be responsible for this? And why? It's okay to make accusations and >> Okay. I want to say yes and no. Okay. And I say that because she goes through hard times. Okay. And I've known that because she has had had to ask me for money. Okay. And because she has to travel to a different clinic and she doesn't have money for gas. So, I've given her $20 here, $20 there. She does pay me back, but it's still because I know she's going through hard times. >> Right. And so, to know where certain things are, again, the how do you open the lock and where it's at, she also proceeded into the building. She didn't step back and say, "Oh, [ __ ] this is weird." She kept going. If you knew the door was unlocked and She told you that that she found it? Yes. I mean, yeah. So, when she came in here, she was like, "Oh, the door was unlocked and the alarm wasn't, but I had to pee, so I just continued." And I'm like, "What? You know protocol is if you don't if the two things, if the doors are unlocked and you don't hear the alarm code to go off and you're supposed to, why would you keep going?" Mhm. Then she's like, "Oh, yeah, it's weird in here." Okay. So, it it kind of doesn't really help me. >> Does it look like an inside job? It has to be. I mean, whether it's the cleaner or it's her. And she has She's one of the four people with that code? Nope, she has different code. So, that's how I'll know also is if when and, you know, Will you write that down? Okay. So, let's do this. Let's go get that log. >> Okay. And then that's going to give us the bright information. >> it doesn't have a time. And we'll we'll we'll go down that path once once it opens up. Yeah. And then where should I report my log to and the inventory once I have that complete? How long do you think that would take you to do? Maybe an hour or two? You can get back with us. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Um yeah, I'll send you a School Community Action link. Um However, to cell phone number of the detective station. >> And then you can just upload it to us. But also, uh I'm going to go out to my car in a second and I'll get you a um theft inventory sheet so you can upload it once you log it >> Cool. Okay. Yeah, cuz it just doesn't make sense. And like that's the number one rule for us is if things are already suspicious you're supposed to step out and call me and then call 911. >> Do the employees know that every time they use their code it's logged? I mean, a smart person would, right? How How long would Smarter or experienced, yes. Would that take you an hour to figure out as well? Um I don't think so, but it's like I was telling him there's four of us that have the same code, but I can identify at what time would that have been. >> Gotcha. It's just the hard part of like I can't say it was you that did it, you know what I mean? But I can now ask my cleaner, "Hey, what time were you guys logged in as to be cleaning my clinic?" Cuz then I put those pieces together. Let's Let's do the log first and inventory second. Let's lead with that because if we can get a solid suspect, we can always interview him. Very cool. If you got a similar key to that, I might be able to jiggle it open. Okay. Bump key it. Essentially. Do you have a restroom nearby? I have a Okay. And then check it It's down there. Down the hallway to your right. >> Ah, I see the sign. All right, fantastic. Yeah, it's going to Officer Harper with the police department. What's going on? Okay. Hi. Hi. It's me. It's me. All right. >> What we got going on? Um so when we came in and opened this morning, we quickly realized that the door was unlocked. Okay. The alarm code was not set, so there wasn't beeping like it normally is. And then, when she turned on lights and things and proceeded, she saw things were kind of disarray. Okay. Um What exactly was disarray? So, this display here all of this front-facing part was like all disheveled. I have pictures of it. And then, as you can see, there's holes in here. This is always very full, so we know about half are not. So, these missing holes are all missing. Okay. And then, um our cash drawer has a key that's in our front desk area. Uh-huh. All of the drawers were open to find said key. Okay. Key is gone, but this the cash drawer is still here. Okay. Do you guys have any cameras inside? >> We do, but they unplugged it. Okay. And we don't have access to the actual footage. Like, there's a code that you have to put in. And so, when I got put on as a manager, the manager before me was fired, so I learned any of that stuff. Okay. Okay. Um do you have an itemized list like how much was taken roughly? >> couldn't So, when I talked to the first dispatcher, they said not to touch anything, so I couldn't do inventory, but I did run the inventory. We just haven't actually cross-referenced what it is that's missing. Okay. And obviously, he's now touching stuff because we don't think anything over here was taken, but he was just helping a patient, so Okay. So, I don't actually know what's taken from Oakley yet, but stop what you're doing. Put it at your desk or do whatever with it. Okay. >> So. Okay. Um yeah. >> This is already one thing that I always keep full because this is an easy way for me to see if something was taken if the patient was here. Okay. Um but we'll see. I'll show you that. So, the main thing now is we can't open the store because I don't actually know if I have cash in my cash drawer. Or if they've taken it. >> You still have the key? We don't have the key. >> the key? So I'd have to literally break it in order to see. And so this is how they were. >> cash drawer at? It's in my office. >> Forget about the cash drawer, but where the key is located? >> Here, right here. And I was told for you guys to have to do fingerprinting if you need to or what have you. But this is what it looks like and this is supposed to be how it is now. This is Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> And then like she walked past and this is a like we have to be very tidy so we know things are what have you. Right. But this is how the drawers were when she got here. Okay. Like opened like this. So besides this main area, nothing back there has been touched that you know of? >> the other rooms are fine. Just this front area. Okay. This area right here. Sorry, do you mind if I come back and have a little look and stuff like that? This is a contact number. Nothing was taken from here. And literally in my office nothing was touched other than the camera. Which is still unplugged and this is where it's unplugged here. So this is the cash drawer where we were told to Have you tried plugging it back in? No, I didn't know where it went, to be honest. That, no. That one, okay. Let me have a look cuz that might be able to see if it kept receipts or stuff. Aha. When? And then what kind of key is this? It's It's literally just a small bolt key. You don't have the combo? It's not in the safe, it's up here. Oh, got you. This one? Yeah, see if they like you people. There's never anything in that one. And that was unlocked? Mhm. So they did look in there. Mhm. That would be my guess. But there was nothing actually in here? Right, correct. I don't see you can make that work. Ding dong. And I hate that they have these orange peel style like coatings on the safes cuz you can never freaking pull prints off of them. No. Let's see if we can uh photograph one. But why would you shut it again? Try and see if we can get that in there. Can I see if they have a key to this? This small one here. It's like on a Don't you think you can go into this? It's probably easy to pry open. I think. Step one, step two, control. I don't know what these are. I don't see a print. That's weird. >> that safe I believe before that box. Okay. I think. I was just >> I'm pretty sure they're they're different things today. Okay. And you don't know of anyone who would know that they access where where the key was? Um no. I mean, only the employees would know where the keys are. Okay. Or ex-bosses, right? Or that. Um what you call it? So we had carpet cleaners here on Friday, but we had somebody close the store after them. So, it wasn't them. And then we have regular cleaners that come in on Sundays. Why doesn't this work again? Can you tell me again? The passcode. I don't know the passcode. Ah, okay. Previous manager signed off. Does the owner know the passcode? We need to go help the patient with the door or somebody's at the door. And lock the door after you're done, please. Say it again, sir? >> The owner has the passcode? I know this is got real messy. Okay. So, door was unlocked. That's why. Can you walk him to downstairs? Door was unlocked. Code was off. And then the doors were open. Who normally locks up? Um so, after the cleaners I normally lock up on Fridays. We had carpet cleaning on Friday. She locked up. And armed it. So, we had the cleaners come in when we were done. She checked everything. >> Do you have access to see if the this system was armed or not? >> Yes. You can go over it. So, you do know that it So, I can call them and ask them for a log of like Have you done that? I haven't done it. It's a joint for you guys. Okay. Let's go ahead and do that. Give them a call. Uh a log would be great. Um cuz if she did in fact lock it lock it and and put the code in, I want to see who So, the hard part to that is three of us share four of us share the same code. This just keeps getting better. It does. And this is because somebody got hired before me. So, when I got put on, nobody said, "Hey, this is the code you use." So, she got hired. So, she didn't up showing me the codes to how to change codes or what have you. Well, we can at least confirm if it was Exactly. used or not. Okay. Let's do that. >> Yeah. And then let's get the inventory. Okay. Yeah. So, those two things will be your homework. Okay. Um yeah, this is hard. It's not I know. I just didn't know if you guys had any suspicions. Yeah. Okay. It's not without without video. I'm not going to pull a prank off that. I figured, but Uh it's too orange peel. They don't stick. Now if I could see Okay, you can't lift one but you can sometimes photograph one and then like that might work but I don't see anything. I knew I knew it would be messy. Yes, it is. Do you have any ideas in your head of anybody that you would suspect? Comes out. Do you have any people for you that you suspect I mean would be responsible for this? And why? It's okay to make accusations and stuff. >> to say my sister. Okay. I mean I say that because Let's see. goes through my purse. Okay. And I've known that because she has my backpack to ask me for money. And because she has to travel with the equipment and she doesn't want me to forget that. So $20 or $30. She does pay me back but it's still because I know And so to know where the same things are again would be I mean it would be a lot of work to do. She also proceeded into the room that day. I thought it was This was weird. She kept going. Do you know the door was unlocked? Did you tell me that she knows I mean yeah. So when she came in here she was like The door was unlocked in the morning but I had to keep I just kept going. What? You know the protocol is that you don't it's two people to stick the door on unlock and do it in the morning. So I pulled off the protocol. Why would you pull off Mhm. Cuz she told me to do it. Okay. So it's a kind of different situation. This is Cuz it looks like an inside job. Yeah. I mean whether it's the cleaner And she has She's one of the four I know Well, she knows So that's how I'll know also. Okay. Cuz I went in, you know. So let's do this. Let's go get that alarm. And then that's going to give us the priority to do it. >> it doesn't matter. And we'll we'll we'll go down that path once once it opens up. And then where should I report my log to and the inventory once I have that on me? How long do you think that would take you to do? Maybe an hour or two. You get back with us. Yeah. Um Yeah, I'll send you a school community action link. Um However to cell phone number. I'll get you details in a second. And then you can just upload it to us. But also uh I'm going to go out to my car in a second and I'll get you a um theft inventory sheet so you can just log it for us. Um Okay. Yeah, cuz it's just the way it is. And like that's the number one rule for us is if things are already suspicious, you're supposed to step out and call me and then call 911. Do their employees know that every time they use their code it's logged? I mean, a smart person would, right? How how long would that take you to figure out as well? Would that take you an hour to figure out as well or >> Um I don't think so, but it's like I was telling him, there's four of us that have the same code, but I can identify at what time would that have been. It's just the hard part of like I can't say it was you that did it, you know what I mean? But I can now ask my thinner, "Hey, what time were you guys logged in?" has to be clean my clinic cuz then I can put those pieces together. Let's let's do the log first and then inventory second. Yeah, let's lead with that because if we can get a solid suspect, we can always interrogate them. Yeah. If you got a similar key to that, I might be able to jiggle it open. Okay. Essentially. Um Do you have a restroom here? Proof of being a thief in your clinic. I have to see a sign. All right, then. Anything else you need from me? Just Yeah, if you just have like a key that's really similar to that potentially, cuz the other ones are too large. The ones that were in here? Yeah. Ow. And then if there doesn't happen to be I see. You work for Lakewood Police, right? >> I do. Do you know Officer Brian Danley? I know Brian Danley very well, yes. Okay. That would be perfect. You can go much smaller. Yeah. We're leaving. Yeah. Inventory of personal property. I would like to know what you have and what you do not have. Um Do you feel old? And it looks gold or Mhm. That won't work. Do you? I don't think they care if you break it, per se. How long have you been open now? Um Cuz at this point I don't know if we have zero or if we have money. Do you carry a lot of cash in here usually or is it just That sounds That's That's a empty. Yeah. What's the problem? Cuz it's empty. I can Oh, that's cool. You can hook this up to a computer. I'm not getting into that, but it's it's empty. If I if I turn it upside down, there'll be obvious signs, right? Um Okay. Okay. Contact. Yep. I'll uh Grab the alarm here. Uh let me run out to my car real quick and I'll grab a Yeah, it's empty empty. Oh, was it Oh, you got it open? No, I I shook it upside down. It's completely empty. This is worth 400 bucks in there. Okay. So, we're here. Um The cash or the coins are in a bag, but you would still hear it, and we didn't hear anything. Yeah. >> Got you. Okay. I'll go grab a report for you, okay? Great. Thank you. >> back. >> Every time, dude. Every time, no. Cuz I clear it, so I don't think of anybody else. Um yeah, so I made a boo-boo there. I'm sorry. Uh just put last, first, all that kind of good stuff. And then, yeah, you just put in what we're missing. Yeah, and if you can if you can, put the model number and serial number in. That helps. Um this is me. Case number was the same as that. Uh once you're done with this, you can either drop it off after your shift or whatever, or you can call us back on the emergency number or 911 or this number, and uh I'll come back out and get it. Okay, very good. Cool. Uh can I just grab your details real quick? I have a card. Does that make it any easier? Perfect. Um the only thing I will need is My number? Date of birth. So, where are the rack of glasses? It's the last rack before you get down to the rack of glasses. Cool. All right, perfect. Uh turn this off real quick. Is that who you think? Um but he's just Look at the competition and stuff. The first person to catch it. And then I'm going to call them shortly. Okay. So She opened. What time did you arrive, Ingrid? It's usually between like 8:20 and 8:30 I I called you at 8:31, so I would have been here 8:24, 8:25 cuz that's my normal time. Okay. No, he wasn't going to buy you a birthday present. He just needed to know When's your birthday? Yes. The 15th. Okay. I need to call and he's driving me the log. So, you got here actually why don't we just step inside this room real quick. Have a seat. You need this room? Uh no, we're just going to sit in here. What is that? I know this is when I'm going to call them. Okay. Yeah, yeah, just have a seat. All right, so you got here at 8:24, 8:25? Yeah. Okay. And this is all recorded by the way, just for our policy. >> Oh, that's fine. Um All right, so just kind of walk me through what you saw, what you did. So I came in and went to unlock the deadbolt. Okay. I was like, okay, well that wasn't locked. Went to unlock the bottom part and I'm like, well that's weird cuz it's always glitchy. I always open the second one first. Two separate keys or same key? Same key. Okay. And then so then I just pushed the handle down and door opened wide open. >> Wide open. Okay. Um and then I come in and I can tell that the floor people had been here. Okay. So I come around >> What When do they normally come? It's not normal. We set it up. I guess they were here Friday. Okay. Today's Monday, so they're here How could you tell that they were here? All the furniture in the office is scattered some in her office behind the desk. >> that every time? They do. They just move it and they don't move it back? To let the carpets dry. Got you. Or because they're lazy. I'm guessing to let the carpets dry. We'll give them the benefit of the doubt, right? Try. So then I come in and set my stuff down. I'm like, I see the chairs and that's awkward enough as I'm walking around and then I see the doors. I'm like, this is weird. Again, I'm still on this is just weird. I had to go to the bathroom. Okay. >> Set my stuff down, go to the back. That's when I saw the pair of glasses on the ground. Okay. So I go to the bathroom immediately. >> Where glasses were? On the ground? >> I mean, I can point to them. It was just in this main hallway? Yeah. Sitting on the floor? So where the rack of glasses is the last rack before you head down the hallway on the right hand side. >> Okay. Right under there. Okay. And then so I go to the bathroom. I turn on my visual field as I normally do. Come out here. Look again and then call Alicia. Okay. What was the first thing that kind of made you made you realize that something was wrong? It was odd that the door wasn't locked. That was the oddest. But when I came in and I saw the stuff moved, I'm like, maybe they just forgot to lock it. You know? And that's I just went in and but then that's when I realized too that the alarm wasn't going off. Got you. So, I'm like, okay. >> Do you normally open up in the mornings? I never Yeah, first person in the morning. >> Okay. And so, you always end up punching in your alarm code. Oh, yeah. Okay. And you have your own code separate from everybody else? Yeah, I was given mine years ago and everyone else has the same one. It was with a different manager when I was hired. Got you. >> She's like, put in your own code and then yeah. So, what's what's protocol for you guys if you notice something's wrong? Like what are what you know, what's the company policy as far as what you're supposed to do? Well, talking to Katie this morning, she said if I notice that obviously the door's unlocked and the alarm's not open, if I don't know uh if someone's here, just immediately do not go in and call the cops. Okay. Is that something you guys have discussed prior to or is that just first time you're hearing it this morning? I mean, I don't think we've ever had a discussion. I'm not sure. We've never had a discussion, but Okay. >> And it wasn't my typical week. And that's what I told and that's why it took me a few minutes to Sorry to force that sentence out of you. >> saying like I would have, but I came in for a reason, obviously to open noticed things were weird, glasses, went to the bathroom, then called. Okay. Do you remember what time you called her at? I called her at I called her a little bit earlier, but I sent her photos at 8:31, which means I would have talked to her probably around 8:25, which honestly means I was probably in the door at 8:22, 8:23. And that's my typical time. Okay. So, it only took you about 2 minutes from Just setting stuff, yeah. >> to the bathroom to give her a call. Yeah. Okay. I'll be right back, please. Okay. Do you have any suspects or anything anybody you think that might be responsible? No. Our cleaning crew are idiots and I feel like with Dr. When Dr. Ho was here, we would have eye drops come up missing. Okay. And like either dilation drops or things like that. Are those of value? No. I mean, no. They just make your eyes big and everything. You wouldn't want to take them. But he started mentioning it. He was like, "What's happening to all of our drops?" And I was infamous for putting them in my pocket and taking them home. They always came back. Or I'd be like, "Use Dr. Knight's at at my house. I'll bring it back." But then it got to the point where we had multiple solutions and they were just gone. Okay. There was nothing else. It was just weird. How long ago was that? How long ago was Dr. Ho here? So it was It was earlier this year. I think his last day was in May. It was like earlier this year. And it was just a couple different things. Just a couple different times that it was just like, "Well, this is odd." Yeah. Yeah. Do you think it could have been anybody in here that would have done this? Uh No? No. I doubt that at all. Okay. Yeah. No. No? Okay. I don't think so. Well, maybe. Do you think it was a cleaning crew then? I don't know. Or just target of opportunity? Well, we had carpet people and cleaning crew here this weekend. So I don't know. Okay. Yeah. I don't know. So, you know, kind of myself looking at it, it it does look like it was an inside job. >> Mhm. You know. Um So it just brings up, you know, some awareness on my part and wanting to do my due diligence and and talk to everybody about it. Yeah. Um but you don't think that's a possibility. Am I Am I off base here? I don't think I know these ladies well enough. I don't think Okay. anyone Jimmy was without power up and uh you know got because I messaged her Saturday I messaged the group Saturday night. Hey, you okay and everything. So but no I don't think so either. So are you aware that um with security companies they keep logs of all the codes that are used? Okay. If we pull a log from the company are we going to see your code being used between Friday and today? I don't know. Okay. All right. Well, thank you. Appreciate it. >> No problem. Do you need a And you were You were second in? Mhm. Okay. But I mean like they were right after they also. So when I got in I just took a quick quick glance in the optical to see if there were any else that were missing. You were just off of the meter. Right. You So you have a your own manager? Yes. Okay. And you're the office manager? >> Correct. Okay. Who's your manager? Uh her name is Tabitha. T A B T A B? Uh-huh. A T H A Norman. Okay. And how often does she come in? Uh sometimes it's once a week but When's the last time she came in? Uh no I'm sorry. It was the 14th. And then she was on PTO all last week. Okay. Let me see if they're any in the desk. Let me see if there any in the tray. Which tray? The left tray. I have to pull another report but I don't remember how so I'm waiting for Christian to So we out the five that are missing though. Okay. Are they all organics? They should be assuming. It should be one sunny though. Based off of how that was placed. Maybe. I mean, the likelihood that this bottom one So it's like this should have been a sunny. Let's get one. two, three, four and then That's my Let me wait though to four. Okay. Can you guys go and check in the back too? Or no, they're still in there. Let me have a picture. Let's look for it. I swear it. You don't worry. I told you earlier I probably You said that She kind of double checked the sunglasses though. She said that they should be in the sunglasses. So we can move on. You see anything in here? All right. Yep, 100% There's always a way to lock these. I just didn't see. Yeah, it's down there. Stop. Stop. Ma'am, it's us. Can I come in? We can come in or you can step out and talk to us for a minute. Hang on 1 second. Would you call this a house or what's that? It's not really a town home? Yeah, single story home. Ma'am, we just got some questions and some other stuff to go through. Uh can we just head down here cuz it's kind of cramped. I'm kind of claustrophobic. Sorry. Are you guys arresting me right now? Yes, ma'am. Yes, we are. Okay. Just go ahead and put your hands behind your back. Can I get my phone so I can call We'll we'll Can I get my phone so I can call her? We'll get some stuff in a second. So, you are under arrest for burg 2 which is a felony. Okay. Okay? One set free one in custody. All right, fantastic. All right, Andrea. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right at this time to talk to a lawyer and have them present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before questioning if you wish. You can decide anytime to exercise these rights, not answer any questions, or make any statements. Do you understand? >> where my mother-in-law is right in the bedroom sleeping on the floor? Yep. Do you understand those rights? Yes. Do you wish to talk to us? >> to talk to us? Give us your side of the story. I'm willing to listen to whatever you got to say. Am I going get my guitar. Sure. We'll see. Yeah, be comfortable. Okay. So, you you obviously know why we're here, right? Okay. So, we had the footage. Okay, we talked to the manager. She said that during your exit interview you admitted to taking the cash and stuff like that. Okay. I want to find out a bit more about the frames. Okay, do you have the frames? I don't. I took them with the intent of making it look like what I said happen happened. I threw them away at a garbage at Walgreens. Okay. How how many did you take? I honestly don't know. A few. >> Was it just that case? It was just that. >> The the Oakleys, right? >> just them. Okay. >> Was the case full? Was that case full? Yeah. Okay, so there was five. Yeah. Yeah, okay. We got there she sent me a picture of uh I'll I'll talk to her after you're done. Okay. So, yeah. We appreciate you being cooperative and talking to us and telling us the truth. That is something that will go in my report and it does go a long way. Like, when I write reports and stuff if people lie to me, I include that in there. I don't appreciate it and the prosecutor doesn't appreciate it, but because you told us the truth, you've been forthright with us, admitting to everything. And that will go in my report as well. And it it looks good for the judge as well. Okay? Can I ask why? Were you just struggling for money? Yeah. Yeah. And again, that's something that's going to go in my report as well. Okay? >> I was drinking. Okay. I was clean and sober for 13 years. What? What? When did the drinking start again? A couple of years ago. Okay. And he just got back to work a few months ago and I was just drinking and I just wanted a little more alcohol. And yeah, car payment to pay. Yeah. Everything. And other than that, so you know prior to seeing the video footage we're pretty confident it was you. And there was a couple things that were a dead giveaway. You could probably tell by the conversation that we were having. You know, I asked everybody in the office I was like hey do you think this could be an inside job? And everybody's like yeah probably. And then when I asked you that same question you're like oh flat out no. Right? That's kind of tells me two things. One, right? Right? Normally people when they answer those types of questions right the innocent person goes yeah that's a possibility. But the guilty person who's trying to shift blame will say yeah no it that can't it's not a possibility. Trying to throw us off potential of the ascent. Right? And two, the way you phrased it was you know no I don't think any of those women right? Because you didn't mention yourself but you mentioned them. Right? Which means hey I think you're a decent person and you're not wanting to get any of your co-workers in trouble. Right? Which shows some character on your part. So does coming in confessing and and come clean. And so I think at the end of the day you are probably feeling some guilt around this situation. Right? And the worst thing you can do is hold on to that so it's good that you were able to unburden yourself of that guilt. But this isn't the end of the world. You know this this is just this happened and we're going to move on with it. Okay? So we're going to go sorry I didn't mean to cut you off. We're going to go to Pierce County Jail. All right there's a good possibility this might get downgraded right prosecutor we talked to him ahead of time they said book it as a order However because of the dollar amount and the fact that you are an employee there there's always that potential and you might be able to plead for that. So when you speak with your lawyer if you take a public defender just okay can you plead this down and that might be your best bet. And you hopefully won't look at any jail time. Do you still have the cash? Okay. Not all of it. Not all of it. Not all of it. Was that spent was it put in the bank account? Just essentials. Okay. How much was spent? I would have to count the cash to actually see. I could go in and get it. Okay. You want to recover that now? No? Okay. We'll worry about it later. All right. We're going to move over to my my car. We're just going to search it real quick. Put your personal items in a bag. Is there anything that you don't have on you that you want to go to the jail with you? ID, wallet? I probably need my ID. Um my phone. Can I call my husband? Cuz I'm bothering my mother-in-law. Your phone's in your pocket. Thank you. That's why I can't find it. Um yeah, is who's inside right now? It's my mother-in-law. Okay. Just I don't want her to see me like Okay. I don't want her to know that I'm I I want her to think I'm helping out at least until I tell my husband. Okay. We can we can facilitate that. Um You don't necessarily need the ID. Yeah. They They need to see the wallet. Okay. Um just the phone's nice when you have to make a phone call to get picked up. >> Yeah. But we'll you can definitely give that your husband a call and I'm going to figure that out. We'll We'll head over to the car. Just want to make sure you're Um What time did you arrive at the at the business? Do you remember? Um Well, I So, what happened is I went Saturday night with the intent that I was going to get some cash and put it back. Okay. And so, I went back Sunday knowing I didn't have the cash. And Hold on. Yeah, we just got the search warrant. Knowing that I didn't have the cash and um just I'm going to grab the bag. Did what I did. Okay. Um so, the wallet can't go with you. Keep it with you. Those keys have to stay with my mother-in-law. Okay. I'll put them on the back of the car, okay? >> Okay. Um along with the lighter and other stuff that you can't take, but um So, what what time was it? Around like 4:00 or Between 3:00 and 4:00, maybe a little later. It was still light. I don't remember the exact time. Okay. Um I think it was before Monday night football. Cuz I was doing crafting on Sunday. >> Okay. So, I don't remember the exact time. Okay. And then did you drive that car? Uh no, I don't own my car. Which which is your car? Uh it's the black Nissan and it's not right now. Okay. Okay. What's the What's the plate for that? Do you know? I do. B W P seven something. I or I don't I don't know the whole plate. >> That That'll be enough. It's a It's a black Nissan? Black Nissan Rogue. Rogue? Okay. Okay. Awesome. Thank you. Well, thank you for your cooperation. And What's the difference? Put it in the Yeah. I had to do this with my phone. No, it's it's my window smash. I just thought you know everything back here is audio video recorded. Where's the uh bag at? It's on the Okay. So Yeah, I was like Yeah. Um she wants these to stay, so these will go back on just the trunk of the car, okay? All right. >> So, I threw I threw all the gas and made it look like there was money and I didn't have money to put in the bag. And then I threw I can check. And then I threw it away and And is this where the cash drawer is? The cash drawer is in here. In that room? Yeah. Yep. And now we just need to bring those back to here, the beginning.
