On September 15th, 2024, an officer from the Green Bay Police Department observed a Chrysler 300 accelerate quickly and squeal its tires. As the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, he activated his emergency lights and the suspect driver accelerated and began to flee. All right, he's taking off pirate speed. I will not be soon. >> God damn. >> Looked like a silver 300. Believe the driver door might have been black in color. Wasn't able to get a plate. I mean the brakes are freaking cooking. [Music] Hello. >> Hello. >> Officer Nick Grim, please. Who's driving this car out parked out front? >> Uh, I am. >> You want to come over here and talk to us? >> Yeah. [Music] What's going on with the vehicle tonight? >> Uh, nothing much. Just drove her home from work. >> Just driving home from work? >> Yep. >> Want was that the car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you want to go back over here and talk to my partner? >> Y. >> So, you said you were driving? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, where were you coming from? Uh just uh followed her from Culver's and then just kind of cruised around for a little while >> from Culver's. >> Yeah. And she like just got down with her. >> Okay. Which Culver's? >> Uh the one it's like right down the road from here. >> Oh, West Mason. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did you go anywhere else tonight? >> Uh I drove around for a little while. That was it. >> Okay. Cuz did you drive past Culver or did you actually stop there? >> I stopped there. I waited for it to get done. >> What time was that at? >> Uh like 11:00. >> Okay. So, your vehicle took off at a high rate from a traffic stop tonight. >> Yeah, I did. Yeah. >> Okay. >> And I'm sorry. I was just having fun up there. It was stupid. I know. >> So, you saw my lights? >> I I freaked out. >> Saw me catching up to you? Yeah, I freaked out and I just I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> I didn't I didn't know what to do. >> Is there any reason that you didn't stop? >> I was scared, honestly. >> Scared of what? >> Getting pulled over again. I've gotten a ticket for no insurance. >> You're scared of a no insurance ticket. >> Well, I just >> And you're putting a felony out there. >> Money to pay for >> money to pay for a felony then? >> No, definitely not. Cuz you understand like circumstances, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, that's really the only reason that you fled for my traffic stop. >> Yeah. I was scared. >> Cuz of a no insurance ticket potentially. 124 bucks. >> All right. Do you have your ID on you? Are you Wyatt? >> Yeah. >> You are the registered owner? >> Yes, sir. >> Then how did you end up here? >> Uh, I just drove here. >> Do you live here? >> Uh, no. She does. >> That's her house. was talking with her. >> Was she in the vehicle with you? >> No, she drove her own car in the garage. It's a little like Toyota uh Impreza, I think. >> Okay. So, you were in the car by yourself? >> Yeah. >> Hi, ma'am. >> Hello. >> We're going to come talk to you real quick. >> Anybody else back here with you? >> Uh maybe it's a rabbit. >> Rabbit. Okay. Um were you in that vehicle, too? >> No, I was not. I don't That's not my kind of vehicle. Okay. You How do you know that that gentleman? >> Oh, that's my boyfriend. He picked me up or Well, he came to work to see me today, but that's about it. >> Okay. You just said he picked you up. >> No, no, sorry. He didn't pick me up. I drive my um Subaru in the garage. >> Okay. When did you get home from work? >> Maybe a couple minutes ago. >> Okay. >> I got done around like 11:15ish, I'd say. >> Is the garage open? >> Uh, no, it's not. You have to open it from the inside. >> Can we open it real quick? >> Oh, for sure. Um, I have to >> Where do you work at? >> Culver's. >> How do you on West Mason? >> Yes. >> How do you like it? >> Personally, I think the pay would be a little better. >> Yeah. >> Mom's Jeep. >> This is your mom's Jeep. How old are you? >> I'm 18. My Subaru is right there. >> Which one did you drive to work, Snake? The Subaru? Do >> you mind if I go in? >> No. No, you're okay. I don't I don't need to go in it. Okay. So, he just ran from the police in his car. >> I dropped my friend off just a few minutes ago. I mean, >> did he mention anything about it to you? >> Not. I mean, he's got No, he's got a bunch of mix on his car. Like, I'd assume that maybe he's just stupid and drives the way he does because, you know. >> No, I mean like police just tried to pull him over and he took off from him. >> Oh, he didn't. I >> He didn't say anything to you. Did he just he just got here? Yeah, he said something about a cop parked at a church, but I didn't know if like he didn't say anything about anyone running after him or like sirens or anything, but >> he's a troublemaker. So, >> is this car registered to you? >> Um, >> or is it registered to mine? >> Off the top of my head, I want to say my mother's. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you by chance? >> Um, I think it would be inside. >> If you don't mind getting that? >> Yeah. Yeah, of course. >> Just now you're not in any trouble. We just want to say that we spoke to you. >> Yeah. >> You good here? You want to ID then? She's good. We don't need to talk to her anymore. >> I know that you you said you took off for a no insurance ticket potentially, but you caught yourself a felony. Okay. So, you're under arrest. It's your turn. You can't bring it back. >> So, you're under arrest for fleeing and looting. Okay. >> You ever been arrested before? >> No, I have not. >> You got any marijuana in the vehicle? >> Nope. Not when you were going back westbound. He was always marijuana. >> Okay. >> I do have vapes on you though. We'll just walk over to my car there. >> Any weapons or anything on you? >> Uh, no. >> Yeah, I got them. >> Walk right up to the hood. Word for no insurance. So now you're going to jail, dude. That was stupid. You got anything that's going to poke me in here? >> Uh, my keys are back. >> Okay. And walk around to the passenger side. >> This way. Face the numbers. I see. I'm going to reach across and grab this. Hang tight. Um, girlfriend said that when he got here, he mentioned something about a cop at a church. I don't know if that was you. >> Cop church. Okay, that makes sense cuz I was sitting at Bly home. Okay. So, he's >> that's So, I I recognize it must have been >> It doesn't have black on it, but >> the fender is different color. >> This front fender. Yeah. So, when he drove by me, he blew a stop sign at 12 in and Hickory Hill >> and then >> cuz I think I was blacked out. So, this looked darker than that. I think that's what I saw >> cuz he he was he must have ripped down, came back westbound, >> and he blew blew the stop sign at Hickory Hill and 12th, kept going, and then did a bunch of series of turns to get here. >> So, I looped around the block and then it was parked here. Cool. >> But it just didn't look I was like, it's not black, but it's definitely two-toned. >> Like I said, it was silver and then this door looked darker when it passed me when I was blacked out. So that makes sense. Like I said, this was the color that I thought it was. And then that's the Okay. Yeah. I'm going to do a monthly including then. >> I don't know if you have a dog and you want to search the car, but he was the only vehicle in front of me driving and it like marijuana. [Music] I mean, there's a backpack like stuff back on the seat, too. But >> you're a call. Okay. >> Driver's 1080. >> Sorry, just giving you an update. Um he's going to jail on fleeing felony or felony fleeing and eluding. >> Come home to come home. >> Yeah. So he's just going to jail on a felony charge for fleeing and eluding. Okay. >> Yeah. >> He uh he admitted that he was driving and I think he fled because he didn't have insurance. >> I believe that he's been a little tight on money. It's no excuse. I'm not pay for his behavior. >> It could have been a warning >> and then he caught a felony charge. So >> yeah, >> just being dumb. He's I know he >> he didn't ditch anything back here cuz I smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle when I was behind him. >> I know that he vapes. I don't know. >> THC vapes. >> No, like the the breezes or the >> But he didn't I'm just covering you. He didn't throw anything back. >> Oh god. No, not that I saw. He just sat down. >> Okay, awesome. I just wanted to give you an update. Okay. >> Yeah, for sure. >> Have a good night. >> So, I'm going to knock out your rights real quick. Okay. >> Okay. So you have the right to remain silent and you say canon will be used against you in a court of law. Do you understand your rights? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Realizing you have these rights, we will answer questions or make a statement. >> Sorry, say that again. >> So you understand your rights, correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Understanding you have those rights, do you want to answer questions or make a statement? >> Um, no, thank you. >> Okay, so like I said, um, the charge is going to be fleeing looting. >> Okay. >> And then a couple citations in here are going to be for that fleeing looting charge. Just comes with a circuit traffic site. Okay. >> And then I'm going to give you a ticket for reckless driving just based on your speed. >> Okay. >> And then obviously just the the driving behavior >> tonight. That's fair. >> Okay. >> Yep. >> Do you have any questions about that? >> Uh, no. >> Okay. You haven't been arrested before, correct? >> No, never. >> So, no open cases? No. You're not on bond? >> No. >> They're not on probation? >> No. >> So, I'm going to have my partner drive you out to the jail. He's got those couple sites for you. >> Okay. >> All right. >> All right. >> You got to be careful, man. >> I know. I'm going to try to I'm not going to try to be like a dad and like but dude, you're going to end up hurting yourself or somebody else like that. >> I know. It was stupid. It was really stupid. >> It really was. Cuz if if that was your only concern was a simple ticket for no insurance, [Applause] >> we're going to switch over to my car, right? Walk this way. >> I'm just going to check you one more time. Okay. >> Good. >> Yeah. All right. Just watch the door here. And like I said, just a couple sites tonight and then you'll see a judge tomorrow cuz it's Monday. Okay. >> Okay. I'll uh print off the sites and explain everything to you once we're there. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. You sure that? >> Yeah, of course. Good find. >> She just want to say goodbye. >> Okay. >> Is it stupid? >> I know. It's okay though. You know that it's not okay. But >> you know, maybe it's just kind of like that big ass bump in the road where you just slow down. >> Yeah. >> Can I? >> Yeah. You want to? But >> sorry, I smell like fire grease. >> Be safe in there, you know. >> No. Well, >> don't don't drop no soap in there. >> Love you guys. >> Thank you. >> Thank you for that. Really appreciate it. >> Yeah, man. I'll give you a point for honesty. >> Yeah, I wasn't going to lie. I was stupid. It was really dumb. Uh if he needs my keys, they're on the picnic table back there. >> I've got your keys. I got your wallet. I got you, babes. >> Oh, okay. I'll keep that window down for you a little bit. All right. Cuz it's going to get stuffy. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Wyatt was found guilty for misdemeanor resisting or failing to stop. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a $463 fine. I'm >> not going to have you step out of the car till they come out here and talk to you, but I'm just going to explain this to you. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, your first citation is going to be vehicle operating fleeing a Luden officer. >> You do have a mandatory court date of January 16th, 2024 at 8:30 courthouse listed. You do have to appear. >> Okay. >> Okay. And your citation amount will be explained here as well. Okay. Your second one is going to be for reckless driving. Okay. This is not a mandatory appearance. The court date, if you wish to dispute it, is November 18th, 20124 at 9:00 a.m. at the same courthouse. >> Okay. This one you do not have to appear for, but you need to take care of it on or before that court date. Okay. >> Okay. Otherwise, a warrant's going to be issued and you're going to be right back here. Okay. >> All right. So, these are going to go in with you in your property. Okay. >> Just hang tight for us while we wait for the staff. All right. All right.
