Your honor, if we can go to number eight. Um, Alicia George Apot, if we can have number eight, please. Miss George, it looks like her attorney is present. Her name and date of birth are correct. >> Okay. >> And she'll be an A. >> And your honor, this is Brent Huff. I haven't filed an appearance, but I do anticipate filing an appearance in this case. >> Sounds good. Mr. Huff, good morning to you. >> Good morning. And I did speak with um the defendant. Uh we'll wave reading of the information. I know there's a request for a protective order. We will um agree to that. We have no objections to that protective order. Um I would ask just to set this out um into January for a standard scheduling conference. >> Okay, sounds good. Um ma'am, tell me your full name. >> Miss George, good morning. This is case number 251915229. Miss George, as you heard, your lawyer is present in the hearing. Um, please make sure if you have questions about the charges that you're facing that you ask him those questions. I do have to address a couple of issues with you this morning, ma'am. The first is that the state has requested a pre-trial protective order. I'm going to read the name of the protected party to you, ma'am, and I only need to know if you know who I'm speaking about. That person's name is Do you know that person? >> Yes. >> Okay. Ma'am, I'm going to sign this order today. you're not to have any contact with that person while this case is pending. So, ma'am, that is no in-person, no telephonic, no electronic contact. You may not go where he lives or works or goes to school. You may not have anyone else contact him for you. And ma'am, you may not possess a weapon or ammunition. Miss George, do you understand everything I just told you? >> I do. >> Okay, ma'am. I'll sign this order now. You will receive a copy in the jail. The second issue, Miss George, is that you are being held without bail and your lawyer has requested that I set a hearing in January. Um, so that at that point you can schedule a detention hearing. Are you okay with that? >> Yes. >> Okay, then let's do that. Set this case for a scheduling conference for a detention hearing. Mr. Huff, does it matter when in January? >> No. Whatever date's convenient for the court. >> Okay. >> Do January 9th. So, Judge Blanch has January 9th at 9:00 am. >> That would be perfect. >> Okay, Miss George, that will be your court date. Ma'am, on that date, you will be transported to the Mat Courthouse to see Judge Blanch for a scheduling conference. At that hearing, your lawyer will set a detention hearing so that Judge Blanch can address your custody status in the future. Miss George, if you have any questions, please make sure you keep in contact with your lawyer. That way, he has all the information that he needs. But otherwise, ma'am, I wish you good luck. You're good to step back now. >> Thank you. >> Yep.
