What starts with a missing water bottle ends with a woman wrestling with police inside an airport. >> Not doing anything. >> You have no idea. >> What is wrong with you lady? >> Let go of the car. Let go of the car. >> Trust me. Trust me. >> On February 20th, 2026, officers were called to Tampa International Airport after reports of a battery involving two women. But when officers tried to take Alyssa into custody, she allegedly fought back and turned the arrest into a chaotic struggle. And once those handcuffs went on, things only got more intense. [music] Well, let's see what happened. >> Control. >> Can I get a unit over here? I'm >> about to hit this. Get this. >> Please off me. Not doing anything. >> You got to let her go. Let her go. Put your hands behind your back. No, >> you have to put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. We're solid. Good. Lock it up. All right. Lock it up. >> Well, this escalated from please let me go to a full wrestling match in just about 30 seconds. My gosh, she's absolutely insane. Once the cuffs are finally secured and double locked, the energy changes completely. That's the thing about resisting, you know, it doesn't make the arrest disappear. >> Locked. Locked. All right. Slow. We're good. We're good. You better roll her towards us. >> Going to get off you. >> I think I'm going to get anything off you. >> Roll her to your to the left. Rolling left. Roll to the left. >> Where do you think this is going to get you? >> It's not going to get us. >> Get up. >> Get up. >> There you go. Another one. >> Yeah, there's another one. >> Where's the other one at? >> We're looking for the other party. female was going this way, but she was not doing I I saw the >> No, she's a victim. >> She was victim. >> So, I don't even know what she looked like. >> Uh, young lady. >> I don't know if she was African American. But I think she was >> African-American, maybe 19, 20 years old. Okay. >> She was in this way >> and uh yeah, this way. And the lady keep holding her. She has a bottle. She said, "Leave me alone or I will throw you the bottle." And she was like, "What? What?" And then she start making physical contact and then the people start. >> Did you watch it? Did you see it? >> I see it. I was in Starbucks. Yeah. >> Okay. Can I just get your information just >> I'm not from the States, but sure. >> Okay. So, it was a black female. >> It was a black young female around 2019. She was maybe wearing a blue >> a blue uh jacket. >> Blue jacket. >> Blue jacket. >> Okay. Black. Does she have braids? >> No. No braids. >> Okay. What kind of how did her hair look? >> Just >> the black female. >> Yeah. >> Hello. How you doing? >> So, I told her to catch her breath so we can get the story. >> Sorry. >> Can we go downstairs? >> While you finally going just downstairs, we'll talk with you about what happened. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Have to get in the handcuffs now. >> What's going on? >> That's the aggressor. She's the victim. >> Okay. So, take them off. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Are you willing to fill out a statement? >> Yes. >> Okay. Absolutely. >> Police weren't simply responding to a noise complaint or an argument anymore. They were trying to separate the alleged aggressor from the person who had been attacked. Officers generally need to determine who the primary aggressor was and gather witness accounts before deciding what charges may apply. And inside a public transit hub like an airport, an ordinary property dispute instantly upgrades to felony battery the moment physical force or threats are directed at responding officers. Under Florida criminal law and aviation safety regulations, public safety inside an airport terminal demands strict compliance, giving responding officers immediate authority to separate conflicting parties and detain suspected aggressors. Courts consistently affirm that property disputes or personal frustration do not justify pulling away, physically wrestling, or threatening responding officers. Under Florida statutes, using physical force against an officer during arrest or threatening bodily harm instantly transforms a minor municipal dispute into thirdderee felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence. >> We're going here. Marissa, right, >> Alyssa. >> Alyssa, we're going to go going here. didn't just do me a solid. I'm going to get paperwork >> in contact for right now. >> I left my water bottle here um on Monday and I tried to go back to the gate and like peek over. I didn't see my water bottle. So, I'm like, "Okay, it's got to be lost and found." So, I didn't know where it was. The lady was in the middle of giving me this paper when that lady and someone else who I thought was security, but maybe he's not. They walked up together and she was like interrupting the lady while she's talking to me, telling me the times and then a then a man who does I don't think that they were together. He walked up and he said something. So I was like everybody just going to cut me like this lady wasn't talking to me. So I'm like well if you could just let her finish with me cuz I was she was in the middle of answering my question. She's like oh go ahead. So I was like your mom like what are you talking to me crazy? I'm going talk to you crazy. So she was like, "Oh, really? Come at me." And I saw her start walking towards me. I don't play you bigger than me. I already got beat up by people that are bigger than me. I'm not playing that. Like you're mom. That's what I said. So I'm walking away and then she ran up and she grabbed my bag and I'm like this can't be happening right now. So I'm like this close like I'm about to swing on you. Get your hands off me. Like could somebody please get this lady please? I'm looking around. It's nobody. So then I don't know what but I still mouthing off. She ran up again and I think that's when you came. Like >> I don't understand. And I'm like grabbing her arm cuz I'm like you about to rip my bag. Like I don't I got this water bottle in my hand. You right here. And I'm sweating. Like please get the me. But then I'm the one who who like hit first or something. Like I'm not I'm not a fighter. I'm not trying to be on that whatever. I was just thankful that you came. But I have no idea who that lady was. I literally just want my water bottle back. Like I don't like are you drunk? >> Okay. >> All right. Just um you're filling out the statement, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> A lost water bottle had somehow become the opening act for this entire mess. And now Alyssa wasn't just asking about lost property anymore. The situation had turned into something much more serious. But officers still needed statements and evidence and both sides of the story before deciding exactly what had happened. >> Let's get her to the car. Let's get her to the car. >> Is this not going to make me feel bad? >> What's up? What you got? >> What's up? >> I'll punch you. >> You're right. >> You're right. >> Yeah. Okay. I've been >> 34 times. >> You're going to go elevator. >> Elevator. >> Yep. >> Cool. You p you [ __ ] >> What's your name, by the way? >> Trust me. >> Trust me. 205. >> When I get out of here, >> right? >> When I get out of here, I'll slit your throat. >> I'll slit your throat. >> Keep throwing at me, ma'am. >> Yeah. Okay. What? You know what? Check my check. I have 17 better against Leos. >> That's not good. I have >> got >> eight against. You think I unfair? I don't care, bro. Don't care, bro. Trust me. I your your kids. Trust me, I will. Trust me. You think I'm kidding, dude? I'll your kids and you think that you're going to have no idea. You have no idea. I'll slice your mother, your father to no idea. >> Trust me. And you're going to cry and you're going to beg me not to do that [ __ ] >> Let me get over here. Let me get over here. >> You have no idea who I am, mother. >> But you what? >> Do you have anything else? >> I'm about that. I'm about that. You have no idea. You think it's a joke and you think it's not? >> You don't know who the I am. And I will your daughter. >> I will your son. >> Well, good thing I don't have none of that. >> I'm not I'm not talking to you. I'm talking about that. >> I like >> Let's get her in the car. Let's get her in the car. Sometimes the fastest way to make a bad decision, even worse, was to keep talking after the handcuffs were already on if she seemed more determined to keep irritating everyone around her, which was honestly a pretty miserable way. As Dean Wormer famously put it in, Animal House, fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life. >> Step up, Isabella. Step up. Please don't make this difficult here. >> Step up. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> Oh, what? What? Step in the car. >> I will your kids. >> What? Okay. So, what? >> I swear to God, I will. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> You don't know me. >> Hold on. >> I swear to mother I will your son. >> Hey, that's fine. >> I will. Get up in the car or I'm going to put you in the car. Do you understand me? >> I don't care. >> Okay. >> You think that's going to take me away from him? >> Okay. >> All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. >> Now sit. Sit if you want to sit. >> Hey, you can sit if you want to sit. her feet just dropped her feet. >> I swear to God. >> Where you going? >> All right. Try try. >> Here we go. >> Don't bite me. Do not bite me. >> She's trying to bite me. >> All right. What are you going to do? >> Get her leg up. There you go. >> I'm going to your children. I'm going to chill your children. >> That's fine. >> Think that I'm not, but I will. >> I'm going to your children. >> And I will have pleasure in slicing your kids throat. >> Good. >> All right. What? You're going to like You said this is going to hurt me. >> All right. You're not right, mother. >> Hey, >> a drunk bully who seemed determined to make a bad situation even worse. They needed to be held accountable because their behavior affected everyone around them. If people weren't willing to police themselves, then the staff and authorities had to step in and do their jobs. Sometimes accountability only started when someone finally decided enough was enough. Alyssa was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, disorderly intoxication, and threatening death or serious bodily harm to specified personnel. You know, when officers respond to an alleged battery, they generally need to separate the people involved, gather statements, review um available evidence, and you know, just determine what charges may apply. Resisting an officer or becoming physically aggressive during an arrest can, you know, just lead to additional charges depending on the circumstances and the local law. Now, the thing is alcohol, right? It can lower inhibition. It can affect impulse control. It just makes it harder for a person to manage their anger or their frustration. And uh once emotions become intense, continuing to argue or physically resist can create a cycle where each reaction makes the situation more serious, staying calm and cooperating can help prevent an already difficult situation from getting worse. Well, what do you think about Alyssa's behavior? Do you think alcohol played a major role in how she reacted, or should she have been able to control herself?
