She blamed her kids' tantrums for her wild driving, but officers weren't buying it. Her tires were shredded, yet she acted like they were showroom fresh. Her snappy attitude screamed trouble, and the cops smelled more than just a parenting fail. >> Somebody >> Oh my god. >> Somebody saw you driving in a way that's not very safe. >> Please, I'm trying to pass the test. That's my kids cuz they're hungry. >> Okay. Are you under any any medications or anything? I need to make sure cuz you know, you don't seem to right to me. >> Okay. Well, my husband will come and fix it. >> Okay. Are you on any prescription medications? >> No. I have a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old and they're screaming their heads off, so I pulled over. >> Okay. >> So, I hear them. They're They're kids. >> Why are you giving me a hard time when I'm asking for just your name and your driver's license just so I can figure out who you are? >> Because I don't feel like because I have to give my kids snacks because they're screaming and crying. Please. >> Okay. Once I figure out how everything is going and then you I'll I'll You'll be on your way. >> I Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. So, I was just coming from my office right off of Congress. Uh I forgot what street it is. I can't even think straight. But I bought the car wash. >> Uh if you go by a mile >> Like the all the way down south or >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just coming from the south. Just coming from the south. Um this is Boynton Beach, so you I'm sorry. See, I'm I'm lost. I'm so sorry. So, we got I got past Woolbright and then I saw a lot of smoking, you know, coming, you know, I'm like driving coming up from the light right off of Woolbright, I believe. And then I see like smoke, whatever happened. And then I see a couple, right, with two kids, and they were pulling the kids away. I'm like, "What just happened?" And then all the smoke coming from the right tire, right, the front right tire. I'm like, "Did maybe just over curb like accidentally, you know, something happened?" So, then I started paying attention to it. And then she If you go back, you're going to see that I'm which is all scraped from almost like Woolbright all the way >> cars or anything like that? >> hit any cars. She almost ran over the this couple with the family. And then um she made a right, and then she was like going over the the curb. on and off, on and off, right? And then I think she got a flat tire, I believe. >> Yeah. >> And then she made a right turn right here at the gas station, right? And then she almost actually ran over another guy that was just walking. She literally ran I mean, I thought she was going to hit him, you know, run over this guy. >> Yeah. >> So, she made that turn, and I'm on the phone ready with 911. And then that's when she made this right turn right here and literally just went over the grass. Um and then I thought there was somebody trying to ditch the car. So, I made a U-turn. I came back. And she seemed like she was lost like trying to find something inside the car. That's when I said, "Look, it's a female, white female, whatever." And then And I was just just sitting there from that point. >> So, you were behind her car from Woolbright all the way to here? >> about about half a mile, a mile. So, no, no, I'm telling you, if you go back Woolbright and come back on North, >> Yeah. >> I'm telling you, the curb you're going to see, I mean, a lot of them. Oh, yeah, no, no, no. Like five times easily. She was literally >> The driver's story unravelled quicker than a cheap tire. She swore she was just passing snacks to her screaming kids. But witnesses saw her swerving like a piñata at a kids' party, nearly clipping a family. Her claim of no drugs or drinks didn't match her scattered vibe. Officers were ready to test her sobriety. >> going over it. I'm telling you, on the sidewalk, she went over the sidewalk and this family, two kids, the guy pulled the wife and the two kids cuz I thought, you know, he thought >> hit them? >> Yeah. The guy This guy I'm literally I mean, she barely missed them. >> Wow. >> So, either high on drugs or there was something going on, but then I saw the kids. >> Yeah. You didn't Did you talk to her at all? >> Oh, no, no, no, no. I No, I just went past it and I cuz I didn't know who it was then. >> Yeah. >> Maybe somebody trying to ditch the car or something is happening. So, I just I parked right there. You see my car right there? >> Uh-huh. >> And the Porsche right there. So, I just stayed there just watching from afar. >> Okay. The pill bottle that was that that we saw, did you take any today? >> No. >> Is there a reason why they're all scattered on the front seat? >> Um probably cuz that my kids get into it and I told them not to and I have to gather it up and put it in there. >> And and I asked you multiple times earlier. >> Yeah, so >> Are you on any any any medication? You denied it every single time, correct? You said you did not take any medication. You did not take any prescription >> I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I don't take anything I'm not supposed >> You guys did not see >> Here's what I got from a witness that followed your car for about a for more than a mile. You almost hit multiple people. You kept hitting the curb. Your tires over here shredded because you hit the curb so many times. >> Yeah, my tires are shredded because they're old. >> Okay? You don't even know that you hit the curb. That you hit the curb. >> I know that. I never hit a curb. >> Okay. Would you like Would you like to do some roadside sobriety exercise or >> So, what happens if I don't? >> If you don't, I'm going to use my um Everything that I have so far that I explained to you. I'm going to make you do this whether or >> I'm trying to do. >> It's okay. I'm going to make that you do what you are not to do to arrest you for for for DUI >> So, let's do it. Let's do it. But don't do >> Turn your phone off right here. Just face me. Face me. Okay. Stand with your feet like this, please. Relax your hand. I'm going to I'm going to going to check your eyes. Okay? So, what thing you to see the tip of my pen here. I just want you to look at that. >> Yeah. >> Okay? I'm going to move this from side to side. I just want you to follow it with your eyes only. Do not move your head the entire time, okay? Keep your eyes on the tip of the pen. >> Got it. >> Okay? >> Let's do it. I'm not allowed to blink. Sorry. >> You can blink. I'm just saying to follow the pen. >> Let's do it. >> Follow the tip of the pen with your eyes. >> it. Let's do it. Let's do this sober. Let's do it. >> Do not move your head until I'm finished with the exercise, all right? >> Got it. >> Okay. The last one I'm going to do, okay? I'm going to move this pen close to your face. I promise you I'm not going to touch you, okay? >> I didn't hear that. >> I just need you to focus on the pen while I I'm going to move it around. I just need you to focus on that, but I'm not going to touch you, okay? Just follow with your eyes only. Understand? >> Her slurred voice and messy talk made it obvious she was under some kind of influence. She wasn't owning up to medication or drugs, but her non-stop rambling made her look super sketchy. Big shout-out to the officers. They decided to run sobriety tests to catch her lies dead on and show everyone she was toast. >> All right. Relax for a second. I'm going to ask you to walk on the line, okay? The first thing I want you to do for me is take your left foot, put it on the line. Take your left foot. Okay? Now, take your right foot. Place it directly in front of your left foot touching heel to toe. Like this. Relax your hands to your side. Relax your hands to your side. >> That one. >> Relax your hands to your side. >> That one. My feet are cold. >> Okay. Do Don't move until I say otherwise, okay? All right. When I say to move, you're going to take nine heel-to-toe steps on that yellow line in front of you. I didn't say move yet. >> Come on, man. >> Okay? I say when I say move. Okay, when I say begin. All right, let's redo it again. Left foot on the line. Ma'am? >> You said left foot before you whenever you want to. >> You, left foot on the line. Your left foot. >> Yeah, and then my left okay. >> Right foot in front of it. Touching heel to toe. Okay. Hands to your side. Do not I didn't say start, ma'am. >> Come on, man. I would have passed. Damn so sorry. >> follow my instructions. >> All right, well let's go. >> All right. Let's try this again. >> man. >> Left foot on the line. Right foot in front of it. Touching heel to toe. Hands to your side. Stay like this. Do not move until I say otherwise. >> Are you ready this time? >> I'm showing you how to do it. >> Cuz I was ready to do it. Left, right, left and right. >> I'm waiting I'm waiting I'm waiting for you. Okay, when I say begin, ma'am. >> Come on, man. >> Come over here. Come over here. >> have passed and you know it. Let's do it. >> When I say you're going to stand the way I I'm asking you to stand. >> stop trying to [ __ ] with me. Yeah, let's do it. >> listen to me. When I say begin, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps on that line like this. >> left and right. I get it. >> Three, when you get to nine nine steps, okay? When you get to nine you're going to keep your front foot planted with the back foot turned like this. Small steps and then take nine more heel to toe steps on that same line. Like one two three all the way up to nine. Okay? So while you're walking you got to look at your feet at all time and count your steps out loud so I can hear it. Okay, do not stop. Do not stop until you you complete the exercise, okay? This, this, this, this. This. >> I didn't miss [ __ ] >> Her attempt at the sobriety test was a disaster worthy of a blooper reel. She couldn't follow simple instructions, whining about 12 different rules while stumbling. The officer's patience was saint-level, but her attitude was a neon sign of guilt. With kids in the car, her reckless joyride wasn't just foolish, it was vile. The cuffs were coming and she knew it. >> Detain me? >> Go ahead. I'm Why you stop? >> Check the average Check the average kilo 12 50 50 50. >> You can't do that. >> I'm waiting. >> 50 45 >> You told me 12 different rules. Let's do it. I can't do this if I listen to you. >> Okay. All right. >> No. >> Come over here. >> One more time. >> Okay, sure. All right. Come >> Come on. >> Sorry. >> Okay. It's uh 13 seconds. Okay. >> It was 30. Oh, hey. >> Ma'am, you'll be under arrest for DUI, okay? >> I'm not. >> Yes, you are. You were on pills and God knows what else. >> I wasn't. >> And you had driving with two kids in your car. >> Help me. Help me. Please help me. >> Come over here, ma'am. Do you have any sharp objects on you? >> No. Please help. >> I have to put paper towels in the car. >> What? >> I have to put paper towels in the car. >> Just hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> I told him I did my best. >> She strutted through the heel-to-toe test like it was a runway, but her wobbling steps were enough to lock her up. Moral: Endangering your kids with a shredded tire and a foggy head is a one-way ticket to jail. Those poor kids, stuck in her chaos mobile, deserved better than a mother who drove like a wrecking ball. She was charged with child endangerment, damage to property, and driving under the influence. With a prior DUI just 3 months earlier, she faced $9,000 in bond she couldn't post, landing 40 days in jail. Adjudicated guilty, she got time served, a year's probation, and $1,655 in fines. Her husband filed for divorce the day she was released, and the fight over terms drags on. Child neglect charges were dropped, but her unfit parenting spoke volumes.
