on June 5th 2024 a woman arrived at the police department to file a complaint but created A disruption she spoke loudly with frustration affecting those around her you can't come down here and refuse to take my citizen complain after David an officer approached and told her to lower her voice explaining that shouting was not allowed inside the building she insisted that a complaint about an officer pretending to take her complaints had not been filed an officer informed her that the complaint process had already been completed she disagreed and accused the officer of not following the correct policy while arguing she claimed her belongings had been touched without permission and that she had business to [Applause] complete tried to help it is not same can't come in here and scream and yell when we have people in here trying to get complaint the one about pretending to complaints has not been made I only discovered that today when I got my cop AC compl you you not you have not AC I put multiple and you have not no the ones that we we're in totally different because you have antagonized me you touched my belongings you have no right touch my belongings I had this here and I was undergoing that business I [Applause] was she became more agitated stating that she had never filed a complaint about an officer pretending to take complaints an officer told her that repeating the same complaints would not change the outcome she refused to accept this and continued arguing she then accused an officer of touching her which was denied she got closer to the officer saying if her belongings could be touched then she could invade personal space no to KCK myself up well yes they should because you should have filed policy the policy is take my complaint that's not true we took your there is no complaint there is absolutely no complaint not going to keep taking the same complaint over and over again and I explain that to you the fact that you don't like don't get don't don't get in his face the fact that you don't like that you can touch my things and I can't get in the person face you touch my face and I can make it any personal touching me stely not she continued arguing about her complaints saying the policy required officers to accept them the officer repeated that the complaint had already been filed she refused to leave and demanded to stay in the lobby she also mentioned another complaint about an officer lying to her over the phone no you just touched him I did not he touched me he touched me he touched me he he touched me stay away from don't get one of these three complaints that I have today is about officer coming down here on the 17th and pretending to take Tu and play Aid I have not at any moment before this at no moment before this have I put in a complaint about that so that is not in repeat and rather than take it which this policy says You must do you invalidated it and pretended the material I was showing you didn't exist they out right now not yes it is she refused to leave even when asked multiple times an officer explained that she could not stand yelling in the lobby she accused an officer of touching her again an officer asked her to stand but she refused when officers attempted to arrest her she repeatedly shouted that she was being detained for no reason she pleaded with others to intervene I have that one and yet another one to fire why I pay on taking them and having you come to my house as your policy says that you will do and nobody told me when I called here on the fifth asking how niely leave the being arrested and what law she had broken she also said her feet were burning and that was the reason she had been sitting an officer asked if she was on any medication and she confirmed that she was officers attempted to move her but she claimed she was being hurt on purpose she was taken into custody still shouting that she had every right to be in the lobby she argued that officers had no right
