So, if you invite him back over here, then you going to go down there next trip, too. >> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant, and canine handler. Tenency rights can vary from state to state. some mandate that you are on a lease, that you pay rent, that you've been there a certain number of days consecutively. However, there are other states where you just have to be there for a minimum of 30 days, and at that point moving forward, you don't necessarily need to be on the lease or pay rent, and a landlord will have to evict you civily through the court system. It kind of just depends on where you're at and what their laws are. This incident took place in the state of Georgia, and this officer has determined that the suspect has no legal standing at this residence. So, that's why he is going to tell him to leave and trespass him from the location. and his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend or whatever she is is requesting that that happen and she is saying that she is on the lease. Now, since the suspect is refusing and he admitted to the fact that he doesn't pay rent, he is not on the lease, there's really only one option at that point coming from a law enforcement perspective and you're going to have to physically remove that person from the location because then a active crime is being committed. And since the suspect almost wants to barricade himself in the bathroom, putting his arm behind the doorway to prevent this officer from pulling him out, it's already going to be physical. And to overcome the resistance and affect an arrest, and to go off of case law, Graham versus Connor, what would a reasonable officer do in this situation, these officers decide to tase him, to gain compliance, and to overcome that resistance, which also can minimize potential injury moving forward if they're going to have to continue to fight this guy just to get him into handcuffs. And as we see, the use of the taser gained that immediate compliance. Some cops would choose to do that in this situation and others weren't. It kind of just depends on what you're experiencing while you're there on scene and what your training level is when dealing with these situations. And that's going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. >> He was charged with obstruction and criminal trespass. [Music] >> I got beat. >> Okay, that's her right there. She is slanging chairs all around. Okay. So 3 hours ago she was going to have to eat, right? So every dinner she claim she told somebody to save her drinks or whatever. She was going to take her kids to the pool. >> She came back 2 hours later. I asked for a receipt. She said uh she was going to leave. So now she come back again. Now she saying she want the money back and she throw. She won't even let me. I don't even know what she had. She won't tell me. Yeah, I want my money receipt that you up >> and I meant that. >> I want my money. You cuz you know I came in here early. >> She know what I had. [Music] I'm >> I don't give a about none of that. He know what I had. Y you know that y'all I want my money. Yeah. I'm saying get both of them receipts, baby. Both of them receipts, baby. Both of them receipt. But y I don't and I want it right now. I don't know about that. I want my money, y'all. You're not going to cheat me out my money. And I mean that. I don't give a damn about you. None of that. All I don't care about none of that. But manager know I want my money. I want that now. Yes. I want my money back. >> Yeah, I want it back. >> I don't care about you doing all that. Yeah, you know I want it back. Red shirt and he was sitting at the bar, too. I want it back. No, sir. I want it back. I'm glad I'm on the way. I want my money right now. I don't care nothing about none of that. I want it now. And I meant that. Yo. >> Yo. Yeah. And I want my money now. >> Where's your idea at? >> I want my money now. >> Where's your idea? >> No, sir. >> No, sir. Kick your leg, honey. No. >> No. >> Kick your leg in. >> No. I don't care nothing about none of that. >> I know you don't. >> I know. >> Where's your >> I know. >> You got anything in there? >> I want your money now. >> Put your money. >> I want my money now. >> I don't see what I had to do. >> Don't worry about that. >> Huh? >> Does she have anything in here? >> No. She didn't bring anything back in with her. >> No, I did. Nothing. >> N. She said the kids in the car something like >> she I don't know. See, like I don't know if the kids are really in the car, but she >> because she said uh she was going I'mma take the I'mma take the fast 334. >> They got a little girl locked up. She got a little girl. She just got kicked out yesterday. >> Do you know her name? >> Her name? No, she go by gas on Facebook. >> Gas. Can you pull up her Facebook for me? >> And I know she had a little girl cuz the first time she came back with she was like she had a little girl. She going kicked. >> I mean, she obviously been drinking, right? >> They jumped on her yesterday. I don't know what she employ. >> No, she ain't got no car. I know she ain't got no car for a fact. I just want to make sure there ain't no kids out here. No way. >> She got It's a little It's a little girl. It's a little girl somewhere. >> Her name P. >> She don't never go nowhere without her. >> Her name P. Somebody got to be keeping her. So, >> like I said, uh they went swimming over there at the hotel when they came back. She was >> You done? >> No. You trying my own hands on me trying to know I'm in the right What's your name? What's your name? >> What is your name? >> My mama and I already told you. >> What is your name? >> Like I said, ain't no mama anyway. >> That's all I need. >> I'm glad I told you where I was going. It's all I need. >> Okay. >> Now you want to ask me what's my name. >> So you ain't going to tell me. >> Okay, honey. My mom been already underwing. So, you ain't going to tell me. >> All right. >> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant, and canine handler. I'm not sure if you guys were able to hear the first portion of this video between the manager and the officer, but essentially what happened is this suspect was there at this restaurant earlier on of the day. She had ordered food or drinks or something like that, and she had asked somebody to watch her drinks for her. She left for approximately two hours with a little girl, potentially her daughter, to go to a pool. When she returned, all of her stuff was cleared out and then she started to demand her money back. and the manager was trying to work with her and ask her to see a receipt, asked her what she had, and she just wasn't providing him anything. Instead, she wanted to yell and cuss and start a verbal argument with the staff there. And that's obviously when they contacted 911. And we clearly see the major issue that's transpiring in there once this officer arrives on scene. And he very efficiently deals with that and just puts her in the back of the patrol car. And that's probably one of the best things to do in a situation like that or at least to remove that person from that entire stressor which is everything going on inside the restaurant and then try to talk to them if possible. But clearly she's either intoxicated under the influence of something or she's just really angry. I don't know what her deal is. I'm not entirely sure if this officer can even get anything productive out of her at this point. The major issue that I saw with this entire thing is where is this little girl and who is she to this suspect? She said she wanted to take her to the pool. see a hotel right next to this restaurant. It is possible that they were staying there, but that is something that definitely needs to get looked into depending on the age of this girl. She's three, four, five, six years old. Some kid that's very young and small. Make sure that they are not left alone unattended. If this is their mother, then that's something that Child Protective Services or the Department of Family Services needs to be made aware of. If this woman is going to a restaurant to get drunk and go off and do whatever and potentially leave her child alone by themselves, I don't know the entire situation. and it is notated in the report what became of this child situation, but there's a lot of unanswered questions, but that is something that definitely needs to get looked into and investigated while on scene during this incident. And that's going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. >> She was charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct. [Music]
