On May 19th, 2026, deputies were dispatched to a Home Depot after receiving reports of an employee theft. >> is a 25-year associate that through some of our exception-based reporting we identified her doing what's called we see it as an item correct so the line on the void on their side. Where they'll have somebody that they ring up and then they'll take the items off and still allow the person to leave. So we have this lady multiple occasions for the same woman not only doing the item corrects but also sweethearting product just letting her leave the store with the >> Does she like know these people? >> So she did. She said so during my interview she acknowledged who she through the person was. She said she met him through a friend and became friends with him. She said it was no personal gain but she knows that she's struggling and she felt bad for this person. I went a little bit further with her. I didn't really get too into details cuz I did this could have just opened up a whole freaking whole whole mess. >> Yeah. >> She did it for other people too. A contractor. She started going down that rabbit hole. I'm like let's get back to her. So we have a we have a felony documented with receipts over $1,100. She admitted to $3,500. >> But you have her >> to me but I'm I'm only going to state attorney's only going to take what we have on receipts and on video and so and so forth. So I do have her statement. Let me want me to show you the packet real quick so you can see >> Yeah. You have the whole thing? >> Yeah man, it's ready to go. So here's the packet that I put together and basically in the packet it's going to give you the whole So I'm going to also if you like I can email this to or with now the technology you can take a picture of it and scan it to your >> So what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you a code to upload all of it to our evidence server. >> Yeah, I'm going to have to have one of my guys do that cuz I don't I don't know what it is. So basically what it's telling you is how we opened up what what tools we utilized to find the investigation, the dates of when what she did and when she did it and for the person she did it for and then the total amount and then a little bit more on here it goes into basically what information I have on her which I have more which you'll get yourself obviously. Um everything is going to show a screenshot, the receipt, the amount, and the total amount that was out. Um and showing the description of her and everything like that. She acknowledged everything. She admitted to it. >> Do you Are you live right now? >> Yes. >> So, do you want to do the recording right now? >> here's what I want to do. I want to go back. I want to get her statement first because if we're just being honest >> up. >> Yeah, this isn't going to be anything that I'm going to be able to throw cuffs on her today and and be done with it. >> NTA or nothing? >> We can NTA her? If that's Are you guys firing her today as well? >> She's getting terminated. >> Okay. >> So, that's what I ask is when we get back there I'm going to ask if we can bring her in the other room, do the quick I actually be a verbal. She doesn't have to sign like they used to. Uh verbal termination, which I could reach I could just say it to her. >> Yeah. >> Uh and then from there she'd be in your custody and whatever that you decide to do. >> Yeah. So, let's go let's go back there. >> All right. So, from the HR side, um like I mentioned to you, I can't make any promises. I'm just the investigator. >> That's fine. >> So, um >> You can sit You can relax. >> Um from from the HR side, I took your statement and I parted with them and obviously with the investigation they made the decision to separate with you. >> Oh. >> Yeah, cuz unfortunately it's theft. >> Sorry. >> So, how am I paying the $2,000? >> Yeah, I'm sorry. Like I mentioned to you earlier, I have nothing to do with how it gets paid back or any restitution. I have nothing to do with that. I'm just the investigator, so I I speak to you about the situation, you admit to what happens, and then we go from there. Um but based off of the investigation and our conversation today, um and on the notice it basically reads that on today's date you admitted both written and verbal to um uh allowing a a friend that you met to leave the store on multiple occasions with merchandise that was not paid for. >> Didn't get much graph, didn't get into much detail, just basically that piece on the termination notice. And then they do ask that we partner with law enforcement just because of the amount we want to get it documented um that we get a deputy to arrive and that deputy will speak to you. I'm going to step out. Um they have the packet, so basically our investigation they already have. So, just be honest with them and cooperate with them. >> Okay. >> Okay? >> Then we leave this with you. >> Thank you. Yes. >> All right, ma'am. I'm Deputy Poston with the Sheriff's office, okay? Basically what he was just saying they're going to go ahead and hand this investigation over to us, okay? I'm not arresting or anything today, but um there is going to be an investigation that takes place just based on the amounts that they've given me for the for the [snorts] missing items, okay? Is there anything that you would like to say as far as, you know, like what what happened or why you decided to do this or >> She She came in and she said she don't have enough money and she's going to give you clothes to you. So she had the mulch. >> Mhm. >> And so she it was like $20. A bag. But um some of them were like 350. [clears throat] So I marked it down. I gave it to her. >> Okay. What about for the other instances that he was able to show me in there? >> Like I know the mulch. >> Yeah. >> And he said that she get out with a cart full of stuff. I don't know about a cart full of stuff. >> Okay. >> Cuz I know she paid She paid >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> She paid for part of it. She didn't pay for the whole thing. >> She paid Right. And um she I know remember she brought me a battery. And then it was 169 and she I gave her 10% off. That's $16.90. >> Okay. >> I remember that part. >> As I was saying previously, they had to fill For the mulch, you said that you just marked down the items from her. >> Yes. >> And then she paid for the rest of it, right? Okay. But the items that were marked down, why did you do that? >> Because >> Because she was she was struggling. >> Yes. Yes. She was struggling and then she said she don't have enough money to buy the mulch. >> Okay. But so you do understand the mark marking it off was there Did a manager tell you to do that or anything like that? >> said that we are empowered to do the mark down. >> Right. >> So because she came with that, I decided to do that. >> Okay. So is there any other instances that you can remember where you might have marked down an item or not >> to it up. Okay. >> They don't have enough money. And they say, "Oh, I'm short." You like >> Okay. Okay. >> I never ever take any money from none of them. >> Right. Okay. So, there's no one that you ever would like mark down an item or not ring it up and then meet with them afterwards and they would receive any sort of payment or >> Never. Never. Never. It's just like it's it's showing >> Mhm. >> It's not I'll do it today. I do. I do things. I'm at Home Depot for one day and I pull some money from it because I know in the summer I don't have any money for for rent. >> Mhm. >> So, I pull it and um put it in my account. >> I got you. All right, ma'am. So, here's what we're going to do now. So, Home Depot has decided they're going to move forward and they're going to terminate you, okay? So, >> That's not >> Yeah. So, >> That's not good. >> They told me you still have some stuff in the locker to get. So, we're going to go out and get that stuff and then we're going to go outside to my car. Again, I'm not arresting you, but I am going to be issuing you a notice that you can't come back here, >> I can't come back. >> Okay. >> That's not good. That's not good at all. >> So, I've informed her of what's going on. We're good to go ahead and get the rest of her belongings out of her locker and then we'll walk her out to the front and I'll issue her the Not the NTA, but I'm assuming you guys don't want her back in the store. >> Oh, I don't. >> No. Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> All right, then. So, we'll just go out to my car. I'll run some stuff to confirm her identity and then we'll be on our way. So, I have to issue you a >> I need injections. I got injections. >> Okay. I have to issue you a form. Unfortunately, they took away all of our paper forms and I can only print it out now, which means I have to manually enter all this stuff. So, it's going to take probably about 10 minutes, okay? >> Okay. >> Okay. Jackie, do you see these benches right here? Those park benches? >> Yes. >> Can you just go sit on that for me? Okay, ma'am. Is your ride Is your ride here or on the way? >> Yes, sir. Okay. So, this is the ban form that we were just talking about. This is going to be the copy You don't get a copy. This going to be a copy for the business, okay? So, as you can see, you're banned for 1 year. It expires on the exact same date in 2027. So, 1 year from now it expires, okay? 1 year from now you can come back to the store. You can do whatever you want, okay? But, for right now for 1 year you cannot come back to this location. That means you can also not be anywhere in the parking lot on the property. You can't go inside anything like that, okay? So, do you understand that? Okay, ma'am. You're good to go. Um there may be someone reaching out to you just with more questions about what exactly happened with with the incident, okay? Okay. After reviewing surveillance footage from multiple thefts, deputies established probable cause and went to her residence to make the arrest. How are you today? >> I'm all right. >> Hey, Ms. Olson. Are you all ready to go or uh do you need a minute or anything? >> Uh no, no, no, no. No, I was looking out for you. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll just I want to go back in front of my car so that it's on that the dashboard camera. So, if you're ready to do it now, we can do it now, okay? Okay. Okay, Ms. Olson. Um so, based on the stuff that Home Depot was telling us earlier from the other from their investigation, right? There was four separate incidents going back all the way until the 17th of last month, right? They have it on the register. They have it on the CCTV that you were logged in on the register and then the CCTV CCTV footage as well of you taking these items off this lady's cart and then just putting them right back in. You didn't scan any of them. Okay. Do you remember any of this? >> No, sorry because I can't remember. I know I what I remember, she have a cart. You know when they had the four for 10? >> Yeah. >> And she bought a whole lot of cart full of mulch four for 10. And I think she bought about six dollars. It was a four for 10. And I know she had two of the thing you know that she put down that you put the mulches on. >> Right. But so battery. So, based on all of that together, right? And I was able to look at the CCTV footage. Cuz all the It's got all four of the incidents covered on there. It's from right above your register, the one that you were logged in on, right? Okay? So, based upon all that, it it is going to be looking like you're going to be charged with grand theft at this time. Okay? >> Really? >> Yes. So, I'm very sorry, but you can >> me Hold on. Let me get my daughter. Let me get my daughter. Let me get my daughter. >> Listen, Miss Allison, Miss Allison. >> So, do I have to pay? Do I have to pay? >> You're going to be taken to jail. You're under arrest. >> Okay. >> Okay, you pulled your money out and that's going to cause additional charges. >> We're trying to be very nice to you. >> Can I put on my bra and stuff? >> We'll we'll we'll let you get whatever you need out of the house, okay? We're going to be very cool with you. You've been very understanding with me. Okay? >> Mhm. >> Let's just do this as simply as possible. >> So, when can I get out? >> That's going to be up to the jail. Yep. >> My bond? >> Uh that's up to the jail. Put your hands behind your back for me, okay? >> What? Let You're going to let me get >> I'll I'll let your I'll get your daughter, okay? >> Okay. >> So, they're going to change you out at the jail anyway, okay? >> Mhm. >> So, they're not going to You have a second set of cuffs there in the car. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I'm putting my wig on. I'm putting my wig on, sir. >> What's that? >> They're going to put me in there. >> In the jail? >> And then, where else? >> And then, that should be it. And then, you should be able to bond right out, okay? >> Same time or >> It's probably going to take a little bit longer than that. They are very overbooked over there, as you may imagine. >> Yeah, yeah. Which one of them I'm going to? >> The main jail, Palm Beach County. Off of Gun Club Road. You know where that's at? >> No. >> Okay. And then, Miss Allison, do you have anything in your pockets or anything like that right now? >> You can feel it. >> Okay. So, just turn and face the car. I'm just going to do a very quick check. I'm going to use the back of my hand, okay? >> Okay. Step to your left. >> I'll go get daughter. >> Yes. Jumpsuit. She have to go school. >> What matter? >> What's your daughter's name? >> Jodiann. >> Jodiann? Jodiann? Right, Jodiann? >> Yes. The door isn't locked. >> And then if you can get your hands down towards your your butt, it's going to be a little bit more comfortable, okay? Do you think you can do that? >> to tell her where I'm going? >> Yeah, you work I'm going to let you talk to her and all that stuff, okay? >> Yeah, you tell me and then I'll tell her. >> Okay, so you're going to be going to the main detention center at Gun Club Road, okay? That's the the main headquarters of the sheriff's office headquarters. You seen that big tall building before? They it's it's that building. I think the jail since the jail's going to change you out completely anyway, if if you're okay with it, just the 15 minute ride is going to take to get there. I wouldn't I would bring as little stuff as possible because it's all going to have to go into their holding cell, okay? >> I I wouldn't bring the sneakers either cuz they're going to give you shoes there. Anything that you bring, you're going to risk cuz you know it's just going to go into a bag and it's going to go into a big pile. So, you know. >> won't get them back? >> You will. You'll get it back, but it's just you know, I would just bring >> might get mixed up. >> Right, stuff stuff happens. That's why I usually tell people don't bring any jewelry, I'll let them take their jewelry off, anything like that, anything valuable like they have a nice cell phone or headphones or anything like that. Just leave that stuff behind because you don't want to risk it getting broken or smooshed or lost or anything like that, okay? >> in today, I can't come out tomorrow? >> So, what day is it? Thursday? I'm not entirely sure when you will be able to post bond. They may make you see a judge tomorrow morning and then give you a bond. I'm not entirely sure yet, okay? >> So, if they give me a bond, then I can leave? >> Yes, you'll be good to go. Um, you'll probably have to call a bonding company and get a bond through them. >> Or I can get somebody pay >> Yeah, that's completely up to you. >> Okay. >> All right, I'm going to shut this and put the window down, okay? Yep, I'm going to put the AC on, too. >> She was charged with grand theft. Share your thoughts in the comments below and don't forget to like and subscribe.
