On August 11th, 2023, Dallas Fort Worth airport turned into a circus when a disorderly man wreaking of booze caused a scene on a plane. Slurring words and red-faced defiance set the stage for a chaotic showdown with cops. What turned this flight into a fiasco? Watch the video to witness the turbulence unfold. Hello folks. I asked them to step off. They said they want to party. They already Why go back there? I was like, why would I do that? probably still pilot everyone step Unless it's really hold I would like to have a conversation with somebody about what this is because this your stuff, man. >> It's all yours. >> Oh, I mean it's >> simple question. Is this your stuff? >> Uh, it's some of my stuff. Yes, sir. It is some of my stuff that I have absolutely no idea. What are we doing? >> What are we doing? >> From the moment officers arrived, tensions were skyhigh as a visibly intoxicated passenger refused to leave the plane, slurring words and challenging authority. The crew had done all they could, but the passengers insistence on speaking with someone in charge made the situation spiral, forcing officers to intervene carefully. >> Let's get your stuff together. Grab your bags. >> I don't know. I don't know about I want you all to go to I want you all to demand us to do anything. >> I can't demand you do anything. You need walk on the plane. If y'all walk on the plane, you're right. I saw that right on the plane. If the pilot has all the authority, the pilot did have the authority. That aircraft right there. Okay. >> Your pilot has the reported I got off the plane on my own. You understand what I'm saying? You understand what I'm telling you? >> Okay. I tell you what, we turn around. You're being placed under arrest for public intoxication. You're being placed under arrest for public intoxication. I don't see this is this >> we are all West Texans. We are all this any kind of threat to you at all. I have no idea. >> And y'all didn't even get our bag off the plane. Yeah, watch it. Y'all don't even know which bag is mine. No one's asked which bag is mine. No one has said nothing about my bag. Y'all get me off. Y'all didn't get to go a plane at all. >> Can Can I make sure we have his bag? >> Take my picture. You can take my picture. Take my picture. Take my picture with these guys. No, we're going to take a picture. We're going to take We're going to take a picture. We're taking a picture. Yeah, we're going to take a picture. We're going to take a picture. All of my bags. I want you I won't say I won't say yes until she go. >> Until she takes my picture. that >> until we take our picture. >> This is taking a picture and listen stop acting like we are taking my picture. >> Stop acting like my picture or something. In the picture walking, >> are you kidding me? >> Resisting arrest. >> Are you standing me? You have to arrest me. You arrest me. Arrest me first. Arrest me. >> You are under arrest. >> intoxication. >> I'm not intoxicated. Stand up. >> I'm up. >> Stand up. >> You got one more chance to stand up. >> Let my wife take my picture. >> Yes. >> One more chance to stand up. >> Now our star is off the plane, but the show's just getting started. He's whining about his bags, demanding his wife snap a photo like they're at a red carpet event, not an airport bust. She's too drunk to even hold the phone, leaving cryptic cliffhers with every slur sentence. Officers are trying to corral this mess, but he's hellbent on making it a viral moment. >> Stand up. Take my picture. Go ahead. Yes or no? Stand up. >> Yes or no? >> Welcome to Jeff. You're going to catch me. Arrested. >> You are under arrest. >> You have arrested me. Yes. >> For what? >> Arrest. >> Arresting. Arrest. Arrested me. You have arrested me. You have arrested me. No. No. No. No. You don't get to tell me what to do. I don't know what to do. I'm going to get your grab your stuff and get off the junk. Let's go. Grab your stuff. Let's start warming up the jelly. >> Oh, I'm I'm sorry. But I am 85 lb and I This is 105 lb. So, you can either help me. This is >> This is not 105 lbs. Now, >> let's stop walking. Weigh me. >> Let's stop walking. Are you kidding me? >> This is not that wheelchair right there. Check my girlfriend 25. What? What happened on the phone? >> I I mean, we've been on several different planes today. I mean, do you think that something you had to drink? >> Three glasses of wine, maybe. on a plane going at the airport. >> Am I responsible for him? >> We're asking you I'm asking you a question right now. >> Uh I'm I weigh 100 lb. >> That's not what I asked. How much have you had to drink today? >> Probably four glasses of wine over the course of >> I'm not sure. >> You know where you're at right now? >> Come here. Let's Let's talk. Come over here. >> What What happened on the phone today? I mean, we have been on several different planes today. I mean, do you think that something he he was not aggressive to anyone on the plane today? Like, look at this. I mean, this guy is like today, maybe. >> Am I responsible for him? >> We're asking you I'm asking you a question right now. >> Uh, I'm I weigh 100 lb. >> That's not what I asked. How much have you had to drink today? >> Probably four glasses of nine over the course of I'm not sure. >> Yeah. By this point, the guy's practically collapsing instead of walking. Still yammering about his wife and some vague injustice. The cops, bless their souls, are dealing with a human piñata spilling nonsense instead of candy. His girlfriend's no help, admitting to four glasses of wine at the fight club. Sorry, Admiral's Club. Both of them are so gone they think they're starring in a buddy comedy. Is that home? >> Yes, I I know exactly where I'm going. >> Where did you consume alcohol at? >> I got the most. And And you have to have your airport at I mean >> at what restaurant? >> Was it the flight pod? >> Yeah. I mean >> the animal. >> Yeah. I I mean >> where's your ID? >> I have his I have his ID. >> Both of y'all's ID. >> Yes. But we listen. We are not there. I mean, we are not going on. the ground. You have a driver's license or your >> No, of course I have a driver's license, but I at the moment I'm a little bit closer. Sorry, being pulled off of uh >> Well, this is due to y'all's actions. >> My actions. both of your actions. You guys aren't listening to the flight crew. That's why we got called. You guys wreak of alcohol. I'm not taking the liability of y'all being intoxicated 30,000 ft in the air causing issues up there. That's why we get called. >> Can't we get 30,000 ft? Are you kidding me? Like I actually I mean I am What the hell is going on? around. What happened on the on the plane when they asked you? >> I hope you get off. >> I literally had no idea that like there was even an issue at all. >> His girlfriend's trying to back him up, but her we fly three times a week excuse lands like a bad punchline. Officers are over it, pointing out they're not risking a mid-air meltdown at 30,000 ft. These two are acting like they're too posh for cuffs, but their lack of manners is screaming louder than their protests. >> And then when they ask you to step off the plane to speak with you, how why didn't you want to get off? >> Uh I think we were just so shocked at that. I mean like we fly three to four times every single week and I mean we're going back to our hometown. It's not like we're trying to do something that's like extra. So, it was it was I was very surprised that there would be any issues and yeah, >> I'm the one with the lights on. Turn 62. except right here. Do you have anything on the on your person that's going to poke stick me or hurt me? No. I just passed an airplane. I just came by the airport. Just repeat your feet, please. If you have anything on your person that you're not telling me about right now, it's an additional charge. The likes of a felony. So, I would advise that you tell me right now because of the jail if they find it. It's just kind of >> I'm just trying to save you a headache. >> Okay. I wish that the little >> I love you guys for for doing this. All right, I'm going to have you step to the back of my car on this side over here. >> So, real quick here, guys. We have uh for the thing of contact, my girlfriend. Have a seat and I'll explain everything to you. Okay. >> Hey, I'm checking your cuff. I can get a finger in there. Okay. So, you're good. >> I appreciate that. >> Mhm. Easiest way is your left leg in first. Okay. Uh all the way in the car. There you go. Just sit down like that. There you go. You guys are This is pretty cool. All right. It's uh So, I'll explain to you real quick just so we're going to go down to our jail. It's at the DFW airport here. It's a little 5 to 10 minute ride. Okay. Uh we'll get you in there, get you booked in, and get you a good place to sober up a little bit. Okay. >> My friend's coming with me. >> Your friend? >> Yeah. >> It's just going to be you right now. >> What What's she doing? >> I don't know. That's up to them. >> Uh we have it. >> You have a cell phone? Uh no. >> Okay. We don't we don't have your cell phone. So >> before you leave, can I make sure you have a cell phone? >> Um there the officers in the terminal will take care of that for you. Okay. Now in cuffs, the man still demanding a sobriety test, acting like he's one breathalyzer away from an Oscar for sobriety. His girlfriend's babbling about their bags like that's the real crime here. The cops are juggling this hot mess while he's muttering about being a proud Texan. Bro, the only thing you're representing is a cautionary tale about airport bars. >> Cuz this may still be on the plane, so I can't go back and leave you all alone. Okay, >> David, just all >> Okay, right on. Well, then somebody has it. We'll make sure it gets in your property then. What's your name? >> My name's Asher Mitchell. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. Um, can I take your glasses off for you? >> Yes, sir. >> Absolutely. I'll get us there safely. Okay. >> Uh, I got you. >> Yeah. Right there. Uh Delta I don't know about the Delta 10. Never heard of that before. >> I'm not sure. Uh never heard of Delta 10. The Delta 8's the legal one and then you got Delta 9, right? >> Yeah. >> I'm not sure. >> They call him a coin on that actually. >> Right. Can't put these glasses in this property. >> You heard of Delta 10 before, sight? >> Delta 10? Yeah. As in the marijuana uh dummies? I've heard of Delta 8. That's the legal one. Delta 9's marijuana. And Delta 10. They call him a coin. He's might be a good one to ask. 44 to 47. Answer your personal police. So, illegal. It is legal. Okay. It's got the marijuana logo on it, though. Okay. So, Delta 10 and 8 are both. Cool. Uh I'm on this uh talk. What you got, >> sir? >> Like a public intoxication? >> That's what we're calling it. Yeah. >> Um, we get dispatched to him quite a bit uh here at the airport. has been updated. >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah. This happens hourly, daily, monthly. >> Uh, I would say at the very least daily, but you know, I've also come to work and I've had zero calls, so I, you know, it's really a it really is a hit and miss kind of thing. Divorce case against my wife. I know if she called somebody, >> your incident has been updated. It's nothing that matters. If you put you here, what you control, that's great. You do your job. I appreciate you. >> As they're hauled to the airport jail, he's still whining about his bags and his wife like he's planning a lawsuit from the drunk tank. The officers are crystal clear. You're too sloshed to fly and your tantrum earned you a timeout. His girlfriend's left in the dust, probably still trying to take that photo. These special memories are now internet gold, but not the kind you frame. incredible. >> All right. So, just to be 100% transparent with you just to explain it a little bit easier for you. So, what we're going to do, I'm going to have you step out. We're going to walk through these this door right here. I'll have you face the wall on your left. I just got to search you in one more time. You'll walk forward up to the yellow line. We're instructing to do so. And then they're going to search you in one more time. And then after that, they'll get a couple questions and we'll get you a good place to sober up. Sound good? Give me one second. Say that again. >> Okay. >> Sounds good. >> I get tested first for uh intoxication. >> Uh so they won't release you unless you're at least 0.08. So they will >> test me before. >> That's all up to the jail staff 100%. >> I'm not intoxicated. >> Okay. Yeah. They just ask them. >> You can't You're assuming I'm intoxicant. >> I don't work at the jail. So And I also didn't arrest you. I just transported you like we talked about, right? So I I just showed up to drive you from the terminal to here is all >> but we're here to assume I'm intoxicated and to assume I'm going to be sober up. >> That Yeah, that's what you were arrested for was public >> intoxication testing. >> Yeah, they don't they don't have to. We can use context clues and all that stuff, right? >> In the end, this guy's grand finale was a slurred plea for a sobriety test. Like he could outsmart the cuffs. The officers, unfazed, booked him faster than a redeye flight. Lesson learned. If you're too drunk to walk straight, don't demand to stay on a plane. Booze and bad decisions don't mix at 30,000 ft. Save the drama for the ground and keep the skies friendly. The man was charged with public intoxication.
