Then a break in the case. A Kamiak High School teacher and the school's resource officer recognized the suspect as 16 year old Samuel Gizaw. Police finally had a name. All right, we'll head right into this door here. >> Guisao was initially released on $500,000 bail, but prosecutors later filed adult charges, and a judge issued a new $2 million arrest warrant. He initially pleaded not guilty, but in August 2026, Guisao pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, accepted responsibility for Jada Woods-Johnson's death, and apologized to her family. His sentencing is scheduled for October 23rd, 2026.
