foreign [Music] advisor we're going to rooms that you wouldn't usually as a young person be in the fact that we've been taken on a serious level means that our voice is being heard and most of the ideas that we've had we've come up with we are seeing it through like what the Met police are saying and I feel like there's been more engagement with young people as well so I think our voice has definitely been hurt before I joined I was one of those people that I've only had negative encounters with the police and meeting people like Nadia and Ella has really helped to not only broaden how I see the police but also have a way to speak to people that are a part of the police and have trust that when I speak to them my voice is heard I wanted to join young advisors because I just wanted the opportunity to you know have more optimism about about my future growing up there wasn't much available um I was privileged to sit at a Roundtable talk with the commissioner I'm only privileged because I'm a young advisor a lot of young people out there do not have the opportunity to sit and sit in such spaces and speak directly to the stakeholders and those officials who actually make their decisions so just being in a place where and have an opportunity that some other young people aren't able to have and being able to represent people that look like me people that are from where I'm from is very impactful and I think what I hope to see is actual changes obviously that's not going to come overnight but I feel like the small changes is what we actually should notice and those small changes will now build up into big changes
