ON SATURDAY, APRIL 6TH, 2024 at approximately 10:10 p.m. in Las Cruces, New Mexico, a call came into 911 about a man later identified as 24-year-old Elijah Jason, Paul Dearman, completely losing his [ __ ] and having a mental break. Dearman was around the 900 block of Glimmerway where he showed up to a person's house yelling and saying random things like, "Please, Dad, let me see your penis right now." and calling for his mommy as he began banging on the front door. When the homeowner told Dearman to leave, he went ape [ __ ] and started ripping the light fixture off the front porch. He broke the front glass door by throwing a rock through it and then broke the front window with his hands. Dearman then stripped naked in the homeowner's driveway and when Las Cruces Police Department arrived, things went sideways as Dearman resisted arrest and assaulted the officers. The footage you're about to see starts from the ring cam of the home and shows some of the home's surveillance video before it switches to the officers' body cams. It's unclear what substances the arman may have ingested, but one thing's for sure, he should have just stayed home. Instead, the arman was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation to be cleared before he ended up booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Facility facing multiple charges including two counts of battery on a peace officer, indecent exposure, criminal damage to property over $1,000, and resisting arrest. Fortunately, there haven't been any updates on the case, so we don't know how things played out in court. What do you think happened here?
