On January 8th, 2022, around 1:00 a.m. in Jacksonville, Florida, deputies stop a car after a illegal red light U-turn. What begins as a routine traffic stop in the Big Chief Tire parking lot at Lem Turner Road in Dun Avenue quickly spirals into chaos when a passenger swings at a deputy, breaks free, pulls a gun while fleeing, and opens fire, triggering a full-blown shootout with the sheriff's office. Do not move. 27-year-old Tranni Austin Wade was initially hospitalized in critical condition, but later booked into jail on two counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. He also faces charges for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and resisting arrest. Wade remains in custody with no bond. And his next court appearance is scheduled for February 15th. According to jail records, he was already out on bond for a 2020 case involving drugs, weapons, and resisting charges. All three backseat passengers in the Lincoln attempted to flee the scene. Two were caught and one remains at large. The two officers involved in the shooting have been cleared of any wrongdoing. At this time, no further information has been released.
