Behind the wheel, a 22-year-old cheerleader named Sydney, visibly shaken and quick to confess she had hit her weed pin earlier that night. What began as a routine DUI stop takes a wild turn when her mom and dad's criminal history comes out. Sydney crying, saying, "I'm not like them." Her dad shows up, clearly has history with police, and is put in his place fast. Now, it's time for the body cam footage. Sydney, right? Can you just step out of the car for me? Sydney, how old are you? I am 22. You're 22? Okay, you can close the door. All right, we're going to come back over here. All right, so listen. How much weed did you smoke? Stop walking away. Just come come over here. Come over here. I have a.3 from the dispensary that I bought today. Okay. I smoked all of it. Okay. So, Okay. So, listen. Because of that, I'd like to put you through some tests just to make sure that you're safe to drive. All right. Cuz I stopped you for the time. If I'm not safe to drive, I'll have somebody come pick me up. Like, we'll get there. So, I've stopped you because you're speeding and then when I pulled out, you slammed on the brakes and then pulled over and almost hit the curb. All right. Well, I only did that because you I saw your lights. I didn't put my lights on till you almost hit the curb. She told me he's pulling you over. I said, "Okay." So, I'm going to put you through some tests to make sure you're safe to drive. Is that cool? Yeah, that's fine. All right. Do you have any Stop walking away. Come over here. Oh, yes. Just don't listen to me on me. You're fine. Listen to me and I'll tell you what to do. Okay. So, do you have any issues with your eyes? Um, I have a stigmatism. You have no You have a stigmatism? Yeah. So, like with lights. Okay. Like brightness and stuff like that. Darkness. But you don't have nestagmus. No. Do you know what nestagmus is? That's like um farsight, nearsighted. No. But that's okay. If you don't know what it is, I don't know what that is. I have a sigma in that. As long as you can see my pen, we'll be okay. All right. So, just can you just move your hair out of your eyes a little bit? Perfect. All right. Do you see the tip of my pen? Yes. What color is the tip of my pen? Blue. Okay. So, what I'd like you to do is put your feet together and your arms down at your sides. And with your eyes and your eyes only, I want you to follow the tip of my pen. All right. Do not move your head. Do you understand? Yes. All right. Keep your head straight. Keep f follow tip. All right. Yes. [Applause] Keep looking at it. Mhm. I'm going to go up and down. Okay. Just follow it up. All right, good job. All right, so listen. Do you have any issues with your legs? Um, I have like um Ashka slaughters. You know what that is? Yep. But you can you can walk in a straight line. You can stand on one leg, no problem usually. But I'm not a flyer. I'm a cheerleader, but I'm not a flyer. So like that's the reason I'm not a flyer is cuz my balance. Okay. Just cuz my Okay. So, we're going to we're going to use this line right here. Okay? So, I want you to come back. This is a little slanted line, but you're Well, it's straight, but you got it right. You can stop. You can stop right there. Right there. Don't get too close to the curb. So, listen. This is what I want you to do. Put your arms down. I want you to put your I want you to keep your left foot on that line. I want you to put your right foot in front of your left with the heel of your right foot touching the toe of your left foot. Place your arms down at your sides. And I want you to stay just like that until I tell you to begin. Do you understand? Yes. All right. When I ask you to begin, I want you to take nine heel to toe steps down the line. Turn and take nine heel totoe steps back. Okay. When you turn, you're going to keep your front foot planted on the line and you're going to turn by taking several small steps with your other foot. Do you understand? Yep. All right. So, it looks like this. Okay. I teach my dog. Looks it's going to look like this. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. All right. Then I'm going to keep my front foot planted. I'm going to turn by taking several small steps. Just get back in that position for me. Thank you. I'm going to turn by taking several small steps with my other foot. And I'm going to take nine heel toe steps back. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. All right. Yep. Do you have any questions so far? No. Just follow this white line. Is that That's it. All right. While you're walking, you're going to look at your feet at all times. You're going to keep your arms at your sides and you're going to count each step out loud. All right. Do you understand? Yes. All right. Whenever you're ready, you may begin. One 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 All right. Good. Cool. You all right? Yes. All right. So, this a cheerleader. So, listen. Clean for you. Step forward more forward towards me. Okay. All right. So, this last is going to be the one. It's going to be called the one leg stand. All right. So, what I want you to do is want to keep your feet together and your arms at your sides. All right. When I tell you to begin, I want you to raise one leg, either one of your choice, approximately 6 in off the ground. You're going to keep your foot parallel to the ground. I'm not good at math, so you tell me when it's high. It's about the height of a soda can. Okay? Or like a dollar bill if you're still running. All right. You're going to raise it 6 in off the ground. You're going to keep your foot parallel to the ground. You're going to keep your the leg that you're standing on straight. You're going to keep your arms down at your sides and you're going to look at your foot and you're going to count out loud. 1 10002 1003 1004 and so on. That's not fair. Until I tell you to stop. All right. So, it looks like this. 1001,002. No, don't do anything yet. Okay. All right. It's going to look like this. 1,00 1,002 1003 1004 till I tell you to stop. Do you understand? Yes. All right. Whenever you're ready, you may begin. Okay. 1002003004 100,00. 100,000 10,002 1,00113 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 Can I do a cheerleader stuff? Nope, bro. I'm a cheerleader. I'm sorry. All right, so just poke your ears out of your eyes. All right. So, I'm going to go around your head in a couple of circles. All right. Yes. I'm going to come real close to the tip of your nose. I'm not going to touch your nose. You're just going to follow the pen in a circle and follow it into the tip of your nose and allow your eyes to cross. Yes. All right. That's uncomfortable, but okay. All right. Ready? So, you know, I have panic disorder and when my eyes cross, I get panic attacks. All right. It's okay. That's fine. Okay. All right. Ready? All right, one more time. Keep following it. You got to follow it in a circle. All right. I'm try I Yeah, you're not f You're not tracking it. Okay. All right. So, just keep your eyes focused on this. Okay. Yeah. All right. All right. So, the last test I'm going to do, what I want you to do is the 100 tests. You know that, right? This is the last one. All right. All right. Sydney was clearly shaken, crying and telling her friends she's not like her dad and can't do the jail thing. When her father arrived, the officer quickly put him in his place, just as he predicted earlier, saying things tend to go bad when the dad shows up. It was clear they've dealt with him before. Cydney was arrested for DUI and cited for speeding, but later released. Based on her reaction, it looks like this might be the wakeup call she needed. What do you think? Did Sydney learn her lesson?
