Police responded to a report of gunshots that appeared to come from a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located a man and woman sitting inside the car believed to be the source of the shots. Since neither the male nor female occupant of the vehicle complied with orders to step out, officers deployed tasers and forcibly removed both individuals from the vehicle. >> No, no, no. Don't stop. Inside the chamber was a spent round indicating the weapon had been fired recently. Police then began speaking with both occupants in an effort to determine what had taken place inside the vehicle. >> They had a spent round in the locking chamber. >> Went off your case >> sometime evidence. >> Stop. Make it stop right now. I repeat. >> No. No. No. This is going to happen. >> You just just did this [ __ ] for a specific reason. >> Okay. So, you don't have anything you want to tell me about what you guys were doing out here? >> No, I we were just talking the situation out, claiming it, and then going on with our by defending. >> What was the situation? >> You got this, Sergeant. >> We're just arguing. Since neither sibling was willing to speak with police about what had transpired inside the vehicle, officers turned to nearby witnesses who reported hearing the gunshot. >> Y'all see this guy doing anything? >> No, I don't know. That's what I'm saying. Like, what's happening? >> Trying to figure out what happened. We >> seen a bunch of police come rolling in fast as hell. We was like, "What the [ __ ] going on?" >> And then we see y'all right here. >> Okay. >> So, y didn't y'all didn't y'all was inside or? >> No, we were just walking down the street. >> Okay. So, y'all went here then? and heard like a single shot maybe like 10 15 minutes ago if that helps. I'm not sure. >> It does. Would you hang out for a minute so I can talk to you? >> Absolutely. It sounded like a loud box like one shot. >> One shot recovered from the vehicle. >> Nobody knows where it came from. >> But we got the shell casing in the car. >> Yeah. >> Shell casing in the car. When questioned further, the male occupant of the vehicle changed his story, now claiming that someone outside the car had been shooting at him and that he feared for his life. >> Somebody else is shot. You probably need to tell us all. >> It was It might have been somebody else driving by and shooting at us. >> No, it was the gun in this car that went off. >> I literally almost got shot at and then you're trying to think that it was me. >> Well, somebody discharged the gun that's in your car. >> That could have been somebody else trying to shoot a gun at me. No, I mean the gun that's in your car has been shot. >> Eventually, police located a nearby business with security cameras that had captured the incident on video. >> Yeah, there's her holding the gun in her right hand. It's a tan Glock, maybe with an extended magazine. And you can see here she gestures with it at him right there. And it looks like she goes to shoot it coming up here. And then this happens >> and she drops it and snatches it up. And I wonder if it didn't go off right then. >> Now everybody's embarrassed. So we get in the car. >> Since it was determined that the female occupant fired the gun, the male occupant was only charged with obstruction. The female was initially charged with aggravated assault and obstruction, but those charges were later reduced. She ultimately plead guilty to reckless conduct and obstruction. >> Did he? >> Well, after we removed him. >> So, where am I going? >> You're going to jail. >> Really? >> Yep. >> What's your name? >> Where's my brother? >> Thanks for watching.
