It seems the vehicle has been parked in a parking lot for several days. Officers are required to check the vehicle and look for any evidence that could assist in the search. Opening the unsecured door of the vehicle, the officers are met with a body sprawled across the front seats. The foul smell intensifies as they open the door, revealing that the body had been decomposing for several days. The victim identified as Misagna Malcolm had been reported missing after her boyfriend claimed he had been shot and stated that the suspect left with his girlfriend and daughter. Unable to identify if the victim had been attacked with a firearm, the officers did their best to move forward despite the horrific odor they were facing. The woman is sprawled out across the front of the car. And in order to check her wounds, officers have to manipulate her body, but the situation proves to be complex. 10 9 left for auto 13. Once on scene, the firefighters assisted and confirmed the situation before removing the body from the vehicle. Like the officers, they were visibly affected by the smell. The woman had been there for 2 days. And what authorities didn't know was there wasn't only one body in the car, but two, because her daughter was also lying lifeless inside. Investigators say Malcolm had been shot and Jordana may have died from sitting in the hot car. Lose a child and a grandchild. Come on. She's a baby. She's a baby. The story actually begins months earlier. Mana and her boyfriend had been living with a friend who had been taken in by the couple after becoming homeless. Due to significant disagreements during the time the friend had stayed with them, the couple decided that they had to leave, but never imagined that decision would cause them to harbor the worst kind of resentment. More than 3 years later, Djon Dwayane Griffiths, age 23, was arrested in March of 2024 after an extensive investigation. The suspect was caught during a traffic stop in New Jersey after officers discovered an active arrest warrant for him. He faced charges of first-degree murder amongst others and is expected to face years in prison depending on the circumstances of the crime and his past criminal
