You're lying. This is a dream. This is a [ __ ] dream right now, bro. Please wake me up. >> That eerie laugh cut through the night right after two innocent kids lost their lives. >> No good crow. >> Okay. From Olympic glory to millionaire royalty, the arrogant thought they were untouchable. >> All working for him. God damn you. >> But beneath the flashing red and blue lights, justice tore their illusions to shreds. >> Oh, he listen. >> On what should have been a perfect evening filled with children's laughter, tragedy came crashing in. A car out of control plowed straight into the building where a birthday party was underway. Joy instantly twisted into a nightmare no one would ever forget. Behind the wheel was Marcela, drunk and reckless, leaving nothing but chaos, heartbreak, and a crime scene cops were forced to untangle. >> She was pulled out from under the car. >> The firefighters are coming right over here. This is not going to help. >> They're on their way. [Music] >> The baby first. >> Take care of the baby first. >> Which one? >> Can you come with me just for a second? >> Are you driving? >> Can you come with me just for a second? Okay. from the other side. >> The bowl club for you remember? >> Yeah, I was just coming down here. Oh my gosh, this is terrible. >> Have you been drinking at all today? >> A little bit. Yes. >> Okay. When's the last time you had something to drink? >> Probably half an hour ago. >> Half an hour ago. What do you drink? >> Wine. >> Wine. Okay. What's What's your name, hun? >> Marshall. >> Marshall? What? Listen. Okay. You don't have any weapons on you, do you? >> No. >> All right. And I'm just going to leave you back here just for a little bit. Okay. >> Okay. >> Is anybody in there in here? >> I don't know. >> Is anybody in here? >> I don't think that. >> Okay. All righty. So, what's going on today? >> Um, not too much. I went out to lunch with some friends and I came back and came down to the boat club and I drove up to the boat club and that's the last thing I remember. >> One second. Just cuz you're in handcuffs, um, I got to read you this. Okay. >> Okay. Um, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Do you wish to speak to me today? Where where were we at today? >> I went to lunch with some friends. >> Okay. About what time was that? >> Um, noonish. >> Where was that at? >> At Vera. >> At Vera. Uh, what' you drink there? You drink water, pop? Anything? >> I had a glass of wine. >> Just one glass of wine? >> Yep. >> Okay. Okay. So, you have one glass of wine at Vera. Um, after that, what happens? You leave at noon. Where do you go? >> Came home. Um, what do you do when you get home? >> Um, I just came home and just kind of chilled out and was waiting for my husband to get up and taking a nap. >> Okay. >> Um, did you drink anything else there? >> No, I didn't even I didn't even get a drink down here because I never met >> And then where where were you driving to? >> Just from Verest to here. >> To here. What were you coming here for? >> Home. >> Oh, you're So you're going from Verest to home? >> Yeah. >> And you left Veras at noon? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um, but then you said you went home first. I'm home here. >> Even then, she didn't seem to grasp the horror she'd just caused. Instead of worrying about the lives she shattered, all she cared about was whether she'd be arrested. While firefighters and medics worked frantically digging through the wreckage for survivors, body cam footage caught the brutal reality. Guests hurled across the room from the sheer impact. When rescuers finally found Mariah and Jaden, both were in critical condition. Mariah slipped into a coma at the hospital while Jaden had to be airlifted. His tiny body losing blood too fast. >> This a breath test. Um I just want to see where you're at with your alcohol level. If you have one glass of wine, it's going to be really low. Okay. So, uh just go ahead and uh blow like you're blowing a balloon. Okay. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Thank you. >> I just want to make sure everything is okay. >> Oh, absolutely. >> Oh my gosh, that was so scary. Do you remember what happened when you were going around here? >> No, not really. I pulled into the parking lot and I was I thought I was driving up to the boat club and evidently I was driving right into the pavilion. >> When you got to the parking lot, what happened? >> I don't remember. >> You don't remember? >> I don't remember. >> Okay. Um got to the parking lot. You don't remember anything? >> I don't. >> Moments later, Brian, the devastated father, got the news no parent should ever hear. Both his children were gone. His wife and eldest son were still clinging to life. But that didn't ease the blow. He collapsed. His cries of despair echoing through the night, tearing at the hearts of everyone who stood there powerless. Oh my god. [Applause] >> I'm backing you. I'ming backing you. Come on. Come on. >> Come on, bro. [Music] >> Come on, bro. >> I didn't do nothing, bro. I haven't done nothing. I haven't done nothing, bro. No. >> No. No. You're lying. This is a dream. This is aing dream right now, bro. Please wake me up. Please. I'm begging you. Wake me up. >> No. No. Right now. He's lying, bro. Please. Lying, bro. Bro, bro, please. Please. He's lying. Please tell me he's lying. Please. Please. No. [ __ ] away. They just was with me. They just was with me. They just went with me. No. No. He's lying. He's lying. No, he's lying. I'm begging you. He's [ __ ] Mike. Mike, he's lying, bro. I'm telling you right now. I was just with him. I was just with him. Stop. He's lying. No, I'm telling you. No. Stop. He's lying. I'm telling you. He's lying. >> Listen. Listen. Listen. Listen to me. Just listen to me. >> Breathe. Liar. >> Liar. Need you right now. >> Listen. >> Not my little boy. They went to a birthday party. They went to a birthday party. >> All righty. We're all done now. >> Okay. Can >> Yes, ma'am. You need some help? >> Can we take these off right now? >> Yeah, sure. I'm not going to run away. I trust you. I'm not going to run away. I know. I trust you're not going. >> But when we do leave here, I got to put them back on when we go to the jail. That's just policy procedure. >> That's fine. You >> lose your pants. >> I don't want you to fall. >> No, I don't want to fall. >> I'm going to try to hold you up here. Okay. >> Okay. >> We might bump into each other, but that's all right. >> Don't bury him. >> She took She took both of them. >> No. Listen. Listen. Listen. >> I can't do this life anymore, Mike. >> I can't do it right now, Mike. >> Look what he just did to me. Look what he did to me. >> Don't do that, bro. >> Look what he did to me. Mike, don't tell me. Don't tell me. Look what he did to me. Look what he did to me. Bro, >> he didn't do that. >> I didn't do that. That drunk did that. >> Meanwhile, Marcela was hauled off to jail for questioning. With evidence stacked against her, she still chose lies over remorse. spinning stories to dodge the truth. For her, being branded a liar was easier than admitting she'd stolen two young lives. >> How often do you drink? >> Um, I was drinking quite a bit there, but I've kind of switched over and I'm doing a free now. >> What's a free? >> It's uh alcohol free. >> And you know, you crashed into the building, right? >> I know. >> Do you know what happened? >> I do not know. Um, again, I just had one glass at um, Vera's. Um, >> do do you drink hard liquor? >> No. Yes. And I might have had a glass at the boat club. >> When at the boat club? >> When I went there after Veres >> and then went to the boat club, had a glass of wine. >> Yes. >> And then blacked out in the back of the car. >> Yes. >> Well, that's not accurate. >> Okay. >> Okay. because your car is going 50 m an hour into the driveway and drives into the building. >> So, you didn't go to the boat club before the crash. Okay? And we know the crash is at 3. Okay? >> And we know that Verna's was at 12:10 because the alcohol level you were at at 4:00, it's not practical. It's not feasible that you had one glass of wine. So then then it's not possible that you drank at the boat club because your car drives into the building and everybody stops drinking. Nobody's drinking >> and you didn't go over to the bar and get a drink after you drove into the car. Drove. No. >> And I don't remember any of that. I had one um actually I was at the boat club and I was drinking free and that's when I they call it a like a white halo effect and it just everything gets really bright >> because your level you were a 21. >> Oh that sounds like a lot. >> Yeah. So 08's the legal level. >> Okay. One glass of wine or one beer or one 1 oz shot of liquor is 02. So that would equal about 10 drinks within an hour. >> But as detectives pressed harder, her mask cracked. Fear and panic finally bled through. Though she never showed an ounce of compassion for the grieving family. The cops kept pressing, using forensic evidence and eyewitness testimony, piece by piece, dismantling every excuse she tried to cling to. >> We're going to start fresh, okay? >> And I'm going to ask you a very blunt question, >> okay? >> Are you an alcoholic? >> I don't believe so. >> I see you're getting a little emotional. I apologize. >> Well, I I think >> it's I have to ask these hard questions and and you need to look into yourself, >> right, >> and answer this truthfully, >> right? And I would say I drank considerably more when I was not drinking the free. But since I started drinking the free, I'm not drinking nearly as much. >> At this point, you are trying to deceive us with how much you drank yesterday and where you were at between noon and 3. So, this is your one opportunity to tell us the truth and look truthful and not deceitful because there's only going to be one of two ways that you're seen. One way, you're a liar, no good criminal. >> Okay. >> All right. Second way, she's sorry for what happened. She wants to own up to what she did and she wants to take resp. Are the most hated person in the United States. You drove your car into a kid's birthday party and killed two kids. >> Oh no. >> And many more are at the hospital in critical condition right now. >> Oh no. >> Adults as well. That is why I'm trying to get the truth from you, Marshall, so I can tell the prosecutor that you're not a low down dirty drunk that wants to go out there and kill kids. >> Oh gosh, no. >> I'm looking for the truth, Marshala. The truth needs to come out because you are the most hated person in the whole United States right now. I guarantee this is national news. I've been doing this for a long time. I've sat across the table from killers before, like really, really bad killers. You're not that person. And I don't remember. So, I'm just devastated. >> So are many people right now. >> I'm sure they are. >> And they're looking for answers and we're trying to help them find answers. >> I understand. >> But you're not telling us the truth. You understand? But you're not telling us the truth about how much you drink. >> So there's one thing I want to leave you with, Marshall, because I'm tired of being lied with. You did this. You did this. You see that kid there? You did that. You did that. >> In the end, there was no escape. Charged with seconddegree murder, DUI manslaughter, and aggravated injury, Marcela faced the weight of justice. Her blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. Proof she knowingly got behind the wheel, gambling with innocent lives. The judge's sentence was brutal, but fitting, 25 to 50 years behind bars. For Marcela, prison walls will be the last place she ever calls home. From lies meant to bury the truth to arrogance that thought it could outrun justice, this case proves the law never forgets. On July 27th, 2025, chaos broke out at the airport. Police rushed in after reports of a violent domestic fight. Right there in the middle of a crowded terminal, what should have been just another trip instantly spiraled into a public scene no one could ignore. >> Checkpoints. We've been in the airport for a little minute and they call us for a reason. conversation and turn into a little bit >> girlfriend. Why are you >> okay? Nothing happened. I just I know she's in our feelings right now. I just want to know the severity of like we're in the airport. She has my bag. I want to get my bag and we're both going to the same place. >> Seated together. >> We stay together. We seated together. >> Oh, I'm not sure because we were supposed to be going a long time ago, right? So now we're just sitting in the airport. >> You guys having So you tell me the heat. Did you lay hands on her? That was nothing like that. >> She didn't lay hands on you. You sure? No pushing, no hitting, >> none of that. Just just verbal. >> Hello. Hi. So, we're in a relationship. I will no longer mess with him or what he had going on. He had some stuff in my his bag. I just need to get out of my bag, my iPad, some clothes. I took it out, put it in my suitcase, brought his bag back. That's pretty much it. But we have a relationship this, you know, kind of kind of thing going on right now. But yeah, exactly why I brought his bag back. I took all of my belongings out. I would leave him alone. You don't have to worry about me. I have a flight coming and go for myself. Like I said, I'm on the phone right now. I have all of my belongings. But you don't have to worry about me while I'm in the airport with him at all. I just had to get my belongings. >> ID on your boarding class. >> Yeah. Do you need my ID for what if I'm if you a possible assault? >> Assault. Oh, Christian. So I assaulted you. I assaulted you. Okay. I'm so sorry. I'm just making sure. >> It's not him that reported it. one of the TSA folks reporting. >> One of the TSA people because I can definitely have evidence of him assaulting me if possible. >> There's cameras everywhere. >> Like I said, yes, I do. My name is Sha Richardson. I do have >> The woman was quickly identified as Olympic sprinter Sha Richardson. Witnesses said she chased down her boyfriend, blocked his path, and even struck him with an object. Actions that screamed aggression and lined up perfectly with an assault charge. Even though he later downplayed the violence, the video evidence told a very different story. >> Thank you. Hi Christy. So you hear me right? So this is a position that Christian called me put me into. Okay. Because he's a coward and I don't want anything to do with him at this point going forward. My name is Sha Richardson. I have no problem with letting you know who I am. Haven't put my hands on him. We had an argument. I will be honest about that. A argument and that's pretty much it. The argument pretty much he's a liar. He lied about a couple things personally, you know, just in a relationship. I I pretty much officers can understand what a relationship is about. But he lied. He's a liar. And that was something that I kind of just grasp and emotionally I'm just like bet you do your thing. But you're asking me for things that is within my possession and for my right. I don't have to give it to you because it's in my possession. But when it came to the point that I saw that he chose to make it more um about the police and things of that nature that showed that he had a choice. So, I just want to be more professional and just come professionally and let you guys know like, hey, relationship thing. Have no problem. I'm walking up to you guys. So, I'm not right. >> Was there any type of physical? >> No, I didn't touch him. He didn't. >> Not my boarding pass. That is public right here. >> Perfect. >> This is my boarding pass. >> So, this is the one that got delayed. >> So, this is I want to say my original one. And this one >> your new one. >> No, this is the This is my original one. And this is the one that got delayed. And then the new one I think is in my purse somewhere. But you can take a picture and I'll look for you for the new one. If you don't mind me, I don't think I have it, but they move my flight to 10 p.m. if you don't mind. I don't think I just physically have it, but you can take a picture. I don't mind at all. >> The last day. Are you going heading back and forth? >> Yes. No, no, no. I'm heading to um Eugene, Oregon. >> Oh, okay. I can probably find it this way. >> Yeah, you can find it that way. >> It's just to kind of document. >> No, no. Please, I please document everything. I have no problem with you documenting anything. And I'm going to do my part so you can do your best. Document everything. Just clean this out. I will never forget you anymore. My mommy, I would never see you if I ever saw him again. >> At first, she played it cool. She handed over her ID, told cops she had nothing to hide, even encouraged them to record everything. But as soon as she started insisting this was just a lover's quarrel and named dropping her Olympic status, it became clear she was trying to soften the blow. Trouble is, the evidence was already too solid to brush aside. Hi. How are you doing, sir? >> Well, I'm doing all right. >> I'm doing good, thanks. >> But here's the thing. You got to put that down. Okay. >> But I have to put down I'm so sorry. You're grabbing me right now. >> Yep. Cuz you're under arrest. >> I'm under arrest right now. What am I under arrest for? Christian. Are you serious right now? Okay. >> Arrest for assault. >> I didn't saw him though. >> Video cameras. >> I literally was having a We were having an argument. I'm not resisting. So you don't have to harder. Christian, are you serious right now? >> Washington State. He doesn't get a say. >> But I understand. We were arguing. I understand entirely. We were arguing. >> Okay, I'm not going to resist. But I'm telling you that we were arguing. I didn't assault him. I didn't do anything wrong. But the fact that your guys are doing this to me and he's the man in this situation, I'm just going to I'm going to comply. I am I'm not going to argue with you at all. But she had me on camera. But at the same time, what he has on camera, I had my phone show something different. So if I need to show that, I will. I didn't. Can he tell you that I didn't do nothing to him? >> Christian, are you serious right now? to take your headphones over. >> All right, >> Kristen. I'm not going to jail because of you right now. You know what? Okay. >> Y >> Okay. >> I will never [ __ ] with you again ever. >> You got to go this way. >> Okay, let's go. >> Like hold these like protect like show these or something. Like this is like completely honest. When we were in a relationship, we had an argument. >> Yeah. >> Are you serious right now? >> Yeah. Unfortunately under state law. Yeah. You're under arrest for assault. >> I'm under arrest for assault right now. Okay. I'm not resisting or anything. I feel like I'm not resisting. But am I going to jail? >> You are going to jail. >> Who's going to bail me out? >> You can make a phone call when you get there. >> Are you serious right now? >> You're going to have to go see a judge friend before that. >> Can I please make a call to my family right now? >> You can when you get to jail. >> Are you serious? Can I make a heat or process for me >> at the jail? >> Are you serious? >> We can't do this. Can't do this right now. >> Oh my gosh. Right now. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Okay. Who would I be able to call right now? Any numbers that I know? >> You can bring your phone with you to jail. >> Okay. Thanks for that happens and you can ask them >> when y'all let me go. Can I call and press charges on him if possible? But because y'all have me on camera, >> y'all arrested me, correct? And y'all didn't even listen to my side of the story. Y'all just arrested me. Correct. So, I didn't want to hear that part of the story. >> Because I have proof that >> and if everything okay, I'm not even a I'm not I'm not resisting. I just feel like this is >> Her reactions followed a familiar pattern. denial, shock, bargaining, then clinging to her boyfriend for backup. Cops, though, weren't swayed. The body cam footage spoke louder than her words. And it didn't lie. >> Go to jail for the night. >> Do I have money if I can bail out tonight? >> Can I bail out tonight? >> Have to see a jail. >> I have to stay in jail for the night. Are you kidding me right now? >> I have to go to jail tonight. >> I'm not arguing. I'm asking question. >> Can I get out tomorrow? You can't be used against the >> Can I get out tomorrow? >> I just have to talk to a lawyer. >> I'm just asking. Yes. Can I get out tomorrow? >> If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, >> I have I can afford a lawyer. >> You for questioning if you would. >> Okay. I have a lawyer. I can I can pay for a lawyer. >> All right. I'm just going to go ahead and just take everything out of anytime. >> Okay. But my phone all the all the numbers that I have. >> Hey, listen up. All right. >> I'm not I'm not arguing. I'm just saying that all the numbers that we have on each of these rights. I explained to you. >> Are you serious right now? >> Yes. >> Are you serious right now? Yes, I am. >> I can pay for it. the far for me to get out of the situation. You understand your right. He has to understand my right. >> Are you serious right now? >> Okay. Take whatever you're going to need. Just take it. Just take it. >> I'm not I'm not fighting or resisting. Who would I have to call to get out of jail? I have a bra. I meant that. Like I don't have a bra. >> Who would I have to call to get out of jail? >> You have to see a judge first in the morning. >> So I have to stay overnight, correct? >> Can I call anybody? >> Yes. Once you get to the jail. >> Who would I be able to call? >> Cuz I don't know numbers. Mommy, I'm not lying. >> Okay, hang on. Take a second. >> Okay, I'm listening. I'm just telling you. I don't know numbers by heart. >> When you can bring your phone, >> the jail is pretty good about letting you go ahead and say, "Hey, this is the number I need." They'll help facilitate that. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Can I bail myself out? >> You got to see a judge first. >> I have to see a judge. Like, I can't even bail myself out. >> Can he say that I wasn't being domestic? Like, we had an argument as in relationship. >> I'm not resisting. I'm just I promise you. I promise you. I don't have anything in my pockets. I'm just asking if he says that I wasn't being domestic, y'all still are going to arrest me no matter what. Correct. Y'all still going to arrest me? So, I have to stay in jail overnight tonight because of him and he's not going to come and bail me out. >> Want to put your ID back in here? Okay. >> Okay. I just have a question. Can I get bailed out tonight? >> Not tonight. >> So, I have to stay in jail tonight. Are you serious right now? >> As reality set in, she shifted gears, asking about bail, phone calls, and whether she'd have to spend the night in jail. She bragged about having the money for a lawyer, clinging to the belief that cash could fix everything. But not once did she show an ounce of regret for what she'd done. >> Okay, I'm not resisting. Please, we got to go. But can y'all can he come and say that we were arguing? Like we're in a relationship. We had a a argument. >> Share. >> But can he come and say that we were arguing? But that's the only thing I'm asking. Like we were arguing. We're not just relationship. Like I know you understand that argument afterwards, but tonight this is where >> I have to go to jail tonight. This is how >> like even if I bail out and if he says it he's not even out here. >> This isn't we don't have any discretion about that. The judge left you have to go to jail and you have to see a judge. >> Are you serious? Like I have work like everything. We're in a relationship. We had an argument and that's how yall going to treat me. He's not even out here. Can y'all talk to him? But I'm going to jail. Are you serious? >> You're on camera pushing him. >> I'm not pushing. I'm not resisting. >> I know. I just have to check. >> I don't have anything on. You just said you can check everything. I don't have anything. >> Are you serious? >> He's not even coming out to vouch for me. Can he come and vouch for me? >> Like nothing. Can I'm just asking questions. I'm not resisting at all. >> But argue with my boyfriend. >> We have you. >> I had a boyfriend. We had an argument. >> I understand that. >> I don't have a car. I had a layover. >> Are you serious right now? >> Are you dead ass right now? And I have to stay in jail overnight for this. >> You have to see a judge. You can't even bail out tonight. >> Correct. >> Can I at least pay for bail? >> I cannot bail out. >> Can I at least take the cuff off in the back seat, please? >> I'm not going to resist y'all. >> Is your name Mr. Richardson? >> My name is Shakary Richardson. >> Do you have any weapons on your being? >> I don't have anything. You can take my hat off. I don't have anything on me. >> So, I'm just going to be a transport vehicle. She's going to >> take these off. >> Unfortunately, not ma'am. At this point, you're >> I know, but unfortunately, I had an argument with my boyfriend. Can you take a seat in the car, please? >> You know what? I'm not resisting. I want to stay in the car. >> This is crazy. Y'all not even listening to me. Put that thing on. >> I do. You want me to take it off? It's not a weapon. Like, I'm not resisting. How to argue with my >> They search you out here. Okay. Once we go to the jail, they're going to search you again. If there's anything that they missed, it might be considered a lady right now. I have shoes on in my caret. I don't have >> I don't hear you out, okay? I just need you to just be calm for me. I know this is stupid. Are you my jail? >> I'm just going to try and help you in jail because I already >> In the end, Shakari was hauled off to jail and charged with fourthderee domestic assault under Washington law. If convicted, she faces up to 364 days behind bars, a $5,000 fine, and mandatory domestic violence education. Between the illusion of fame and the harsh weight of reality came a moment so absurd even the cops couldn't help but laugh. On February 16th, 2025, cops pulled over a car flying down the road at 78 mph in a 45 zone. At first, it looked like a routine traffic stop. But when the woman behind the wheel showed clear signs of being drunk and started pushing back, things escalated fast. >> How's it going? >> Good. >> Great. My name's Officer. Is there a reason you're driving way over the posted speed limit? >> I honestly I have no idea where I'm at. >> So you're drunk. >> No, no, no. I'm not at all. I'm I live in Tampa. >> Okay. So the speed limit back there is 45. I was doing 80 and I wasn't even catching up to you. You were gone. >> Oh, really? >> Yes. So right now I'm going to ask you to step out of the vehicle. >> Do you have a driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance? Yeah. >> And you clearly smell of alcohol. >> 10:31 going on. >> [ __ ] You're 50. I flipped around and all of a sudden she bolted. >> Yeah. I've asked you for your registration proof of insurance. >> How did How did I bolt? Cuz when I turned around, you weren't doing You were doing 50 mph when I turned around and then you were gone. Straight up. Just gone. >> Well, I honestly I don't live here. I live in Tampa, so I don't know where. >> And you're stirring your speech. You smell of alcohol. Step out of the vehicle. >> Ma'am, I'm not going to ask you again. You're going to step out of the vehicle or I'm going to take you out of this vehicle. Walk back to the car. What's going on? >> What are you guys doing? You guys are driving way over the speed limit. >> I'm not driving. >> I know you're not. What's that in your hand? >> Bottles of lotion. I guess I got out here. >> From the start, she was in denial. She admitted leaving her ID at a bar, but swore up and down she wasn't drunk. A contradiction that screamed irresponsibility. With those red flags, officers had every reason to run a sobriety test. >> I'm headed to my parents house off of Alligator Lake. >> Where y'all coming from? Alligator Lake is way over there. >> I know, but I I just had corial transplant in my eye, so it's really hard for me to see through this line. So like >> So that doesn't If you can't drive at night, you shouldn't be driving at night. I'm happy to send a letter to a DMV to take away your license. >> If you can't drive at night, you should not be driving. >> I know, but I I can't I can't help my situation. >> So, you smell of alcohol straight up. Just going to be blunt. >> I was at a bar with >> Well, I can tell. >> Yeah, >> I can absolutely tell. I initially thought you 50 mph. >> And when I turned around, you were gone. I have no idea. >> My car is recording and I was doing 80 miles hour trying to catch you. >> I'm sorry because I have no idea. >> So, it doesn't matter at this point. So, now I'm going to ask you to do focus right exercises. >> Okay. I I can't do whatever you're going to pull out with your glass. I can't do that with my eye. I can't. >> Why not? >> I just had a corneal transplant. Like, what do you not understand? >> So, are you refusing to There's more than just the eye. No, there's not. You cannot do that. >> You can just go to jail. >> No, no, no. I'm not going to jail. Stop. Stop. I'm not going to jail. Stop. Stop. >> Stop. Are you stop? I won't do it. >> Put your arms back. >> My eyes. >> And I said there's more exercises than your eyes. And you said no. Clearly. >> No, I won't. >> Don't move your eyes. >> I won't do it. I will do whatever you want. >> Just calm down. >> Just relax for a second. What? >> Tension built when she flat out refused field tests, trying to dodge solid proof and stay in control. But once the cuffs came out, her confidence cracked, replaced by panic and desperation. >> Exercises. >> Okay. And I will do them. >> But you just told me no. >> No, I said I will do them. >> You just told me no. >> No, I said I can. No, I cannot do anything with flashlight. I said >> stop. >> Tell me your situation. >> What's my situation? This one ridiculous ridiculous >> because she's resisting. >> I'm not resisting. I'm not resisting. I said I cannot do anything with my eyes in a flashlight. >> I just had a Gordium transplant. Are you out of your mind? And ma'am, you said that and I said, "Okay, >> ma'am." And I said, "I would I would say I would do everything." I would I would do everything. >> I said I would do it and now you slam into my car. >> Well, we tried to put you in handcuffs out here. >> Why? >> You didn't. Because you said no. >> No. I said I will do everything I will, but I cannot do anything with flashlights to my eyeballs. And I said there's more exercises. >> Okay. And I said I would do it and now No, no, no. I said I would do it. And now you're happy. >> Ma'am, >> I mean, I don't do anything like >> So, calm down and take a deep breath. All right. >> Okay. But like, I'm just telling you, I can't do anything with flashlight. >> I understand. You explained that to me and I said, "Okay." >> And I said, "I will do that." >> Hold on. I said there's more exercise. >> And I said I would do that. >> No. You said no. >> No. I said I would do that. I said no. >> No. I said no to flashlights to my eyeballs because it it is going to hurt my eyeballs. >> Okay. And I deteriorate. >> Even in handcuffs. She kept arguing, claiming she'd cooperated, then blaming the cops for acting too quickly. She bounced between excuses, self-justification, and changing the subject, desperate to rewrite the narrative. talk. You already >> No, not yet. >> Yeah. So, this is like >> So, I'm trying to ask me anything against my car. >> I just asked you, >> are you going to do any damage to my car? >> I just asked you, will you give a voluntary breath sample? >> It's yes or no. It's 100% up to you. >> Why? When you guys are just being straight. >> I didn't come here to take you to jail. That's not >> Yeah, pretty much. You did. >> That's not at all why I came. >> All I want to do is go back to my house. That is not even >> Can Can I explain? Okay. You are swearing your Your eyes are bloodshot. >> How do you know my eyes are bloodshot? I have I have one contact in my eye and one contact not in my eye. >> Are you going to finish? >> No, you cannot say that my eyes are bloodshot because >> let me read her and pic. >> So listen to him. >> You got to look at me, ma'am. >> No, I'm good. >> No. So, you're going to look at me while I do this. >> Yeah, >> absolutely. Or you'll have a resisting charge on top of a DUI. Okay. >> You want to keep cracking? >> Go on, baby over here and go on whatever you feel is needed. >> I'm now requesting that you submit to a lawful test of your breath or as for the purpose of determining its alcohol content and or the presence of chemical or controlled substances. I'm requesting you submit to a test of breath. Will you take this test? Yes or no? Finally, after being warned about losing her license, she gave in and agreed to a breath test, a clear sign the weight of reality was sinking in. By then, though, police had more than enough evidence to move forward with charges. >> Additionally, if you refuse to take the test I requested of you, and if your driving privilege has been previously suspended for refusal to submit to a lawful test of your breath, urine, or blood, you will be committing >> admission in addition to another penalties which can be imposed. Do you understand what I've just read to you? >> Yes, I do. >> Do you still refuse to submit to the test? >> Can you undo this and I'll do a breathalyzer? >> Do you still refuse to submit to the test? Yes or no? >> No. I'll do one, but will you >> The breathalyzer is at the jail. >> At the jail? >> Yes. We don't have breathalyzers in our car. >> Can you just please let me go home? >> No, you're drunk. You're I'm not letting you drive drunk. So, I'll take an >> You said you're going to Alligator Lake, which is real. You're in Lake City. We don't have Us hardly ever. >> No, you do. >> I I guarantee you you do. >> What? >> Do you guys mind transporting? >> Do you guys mind transporting? I got the kilos. >> Yeah. >> What's his name? >> I'll talk to you. >> Okay. >> Let's walk over here real quick. >> This [ __ ] hurts. Stop calling women. >> Ow. You did that. You did that. That was all you. >> In the end, she was arrested and booked for DUI and resisting without violence. If convicted, she faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine for each charge. From the smirk, officers couldn't hold back to the moment her sense of privilege crumbled on the side of the road. On April 20th, 2025, police were dispatched to a home after a 911 call reported domestic violence. What started as a fight between a woman and her husband had turned the house into a powder keg. And just when another officer arrived on scene, the situation took a turn, no one saw coming. >> I'm trying to go to the emergency room. Can you help? >> Okay. What's going on? >> My husband cracked my head on the floor and I'm trying to get up there to admit myself. >> Okay. All right. Well, just hang tight because that's what we're trying to investigate. What happened over there at the house. >> Can you put your hand right here and feel it for me? >> He knocked me on the floor and I've got a big big knot on my neck. On not my neck, on my head right here. >> And I'd like to go to the hospital. >> Okay. Well, you're going to sit tight until we figure out what's going on. >> I might just drive away and go. >> If you drive away, then you know what? Then what? You're going to help me go to the hospital, aren't you? Because I'm a medical patient. What are you? I'm going to drive away. >> Really? Really? I've been driving all this time and I've been just fine. >> Well, now that you're stopped out with me, you're not going to drive. >> You've decided. You've decided. >> Yes, I have. >> Yeah. Great. >> So, put your car in park and we're going to figure out what's going on. >> Really? What do you know about what's going on? Nothing. >> So, I want to get your side of the story cuz we have deputies at your house. >> Yeah. Okay. But you come on hot and angry and mean. You're not getting my side of the story. You're another >> No. Angry. You are. You're that way, too. All of you people are. >> You're the one who's yelling. >> You That's right. Because of how you are. See, >> how am How am I? What did I do? >> Yeah, you're an [ __ ] >> Okay. >> Yeah. Okay. Okay, lady. Okay. Okay. Bark. Bark. Bark. Empty. Nobody's barking at you. Empty. >> Yes, you are. Stop it. >> Go ahead and turn your car off for me. I think I just broke the holder. >> Oh, she's feisty. She says I'm an [ __ ] We're all the same. Uh, should drive me to the hospital. >> They're on the way right now for you. >> Who? >> Paramedics. >> Paramedics are on their way. >> Thank you very much. >> Do you feel lightheaded? What are your complaints? >> I have a crushing pain in the back of my head from where my head was banged onto the tile. Are you talking about me? Cuz I wasn't there. >> No, I'm just talking about the police in general. I'm I'm just talking. I can say what I want. >> Yes, you can. >> That's right. So, you can No, that's fine. I don't care about being nice to you. >> From the start, officers stayed calm and professional, doing everything they could to deescalate and make sure the woman got medical care if needed. But she flat out refused to cooperate, showing emotional instability and defiance from the very first minutes. >> I don't want to. I don't need you telling me what I can and can't do. I will. Well, I will tell you this. You cannot leave. >> I'm not leaving because I know about you. Your guns. >> Got it. >> Well, my gun has nothing to do with it. But you're being detained right now. >> That's the only reason I'm not leaving. That's it. Police guns. That's it. I want to get up to the emergency room and get the treatment I need. >> Do you feel lightheaded or dizzy? >> I hurt in the back of my head. >> So, it just hurts. >> I've been getting Concussion block things in my eyes off and on. Yeah. Lightaded. I'm not even out of the car walking. I grabbed my bag. I was shaking like a leaf. I get into the car and I drove until I figured out that this was where I needed to be. Look like someone who has guns. Not me. Don't ask stupid questions. >> We do have guns. >> It's for safety reasons, man. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Cuz you're being kind of feisty. I'm angry and you're nasty and you should just go away. >> Just go away. >> We can't leave, >> you know. Just shut up then. Just shut up. >> Do you mind if I check you for weapons? >> You know what? I have no choice. And it doesn't matter whether I'm lying. So stop with the [ __ ] games. You want to check me for weapons? Check me for weapons. >> You think I'm a liar? You think I'm a liar. Oh, you've just wanted me all on to take off my belt cuz that's what you told me to begin with. >> Can you step outside, please? >> I don't have weapons. >> I'm just going to pat you down. >> I'm just wanting the passers by to know. >> Do not put your hand in my face. >> Don't do that to me either, then. Okay. Hey, hey, hey, see, see. But you did it to me, too. >> No reason for you to get feisty right now. >> Hey, hey, you don't know my husband. Okay, stop it. >> I need you to relax. >> Yeah. No, relax. Yeah, >> that's all I wanted to do. >> Yeah, I'm in my pajamas because I didn't even make it past bed and he pushed me on the ground, okay? And nobody is taking care of me. So, don't start going to yell at you all. >> Her words made it clear she knew she was being detained. Yet, she kept pushing back. As her resistance grew louder and more hostile, the danger level spiked. Police had no choice but to prepare for force. Not to punish her, but to protect everyone involved. >> You be careful what you do with me from now on. >> Do you want to step out so the paramedics can take a look at you? >> Really? Okay. First, I couldn't get out. Now I have to get out, [ __ ] >> I need to go to the hospital. >> Okay. >> I need to go to the hospital now. Thank you. Let's get back over here with us and we'll we'll get you over there. >> Okay. Where are we going? >> Take you to the hospital cuz you want to go to the hospital. Correct. >> Well, yeah, but the hospital's over there. >> But our car's over there. >> Yeah. You're not going to be driving. >> I need my purse. >> We'll grab that for you. Grab your purse. We're going to go. >> Okay. I'll wait until you get my purse. I don't want to walk past and not have access to my things and have someone take them from me. >> I don't trust any of you. I want my purse. I want my purse. Why am I being Why am I being arrested for wanting my purse? I want to know what's happening. I want to know what you're doing to me and why. I have a right to know. What are you doing to me and why? >> Stop yelling. We will tell you. >> What are you doing and why? What have I done? What have I done? What have I done? What are you charging me with? What are you charging? I'm a woman at the hospital emergency room trying to get service and you are arresting me for no goddamn good reason. You tell me you're taking me to the hospital. What is this? This is not getting me medical service. >> My name is Deputy Tash. Okay. >> Uh-huh. >> I'm here to talk to you about >> Great. Great. >> Okay. Are you going to be reasonable? Cuz nobody has so far. >> Going to be reasonable. >> Great. Great. Let's try it. I need my tent. God damn it. Could you ask her? It's too tight. I cannot talk with it hurting me. No, I can't. No. Wait until it hurts. It hurts on my left wrist. You have to stop that. I won't talk to anybody while you're putting me in pain. >> You know what? I'm reporting pain to you and you're insisting while you're putting it tighter that it's not hurting. >> It's locked, ma'am. It can't get any. >> I'm not speaking to any of you. You're not listening to me. We're done. Take me. >> The woman's anger never let up. She twisted the truth, threw out illogical claims, and clung to excuses that had no basis in reality. It was classic denial fueled by resentment and a refusal to face the facts. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law. >> No, you got it. I have the right to talk to a lawyer. Stop it. Everybody, if you have to afford to hire a lawyer down, I am that every single one of you. Good. >> You can decide to exercise right at any time and not answer your question statements. Do you understand your rights are read to you? >> I've heard it all before. I know it all. I'm 68 years old. >> Do you understand these rights? >> What rights? >> The ones that you think I have rights. Since when have the police ever treated anybody like they have? What happened? >> Between your husband. >> Between my husband and I. I woke up this morning. >> Mhm. >> And I was upset. I was in tears when I woke up in bed from a nightmare. This has been happening in my life with this man for years and I have been trying to get him to stop. >> Okay. >> Okay. We've been going through counseling. He says he's working on it. We had an incident a couple days ago where he just [ __ ] all over me on the phone about his mother and medical at them and I yelled at him and we went back and forth across the house a few times >> when when we were yelling. Yeah. He he pushed me >> and one time I hit you back. It happened. Yeah, it happened. That's what you're asking me, right? >> Listen to what I'm trying to say. Okay. So, when you were stood in the room, right? You came in there to say sorry to you, right? >> He told you he's packing up and going to his mom. >> Did you follow him to the master bedroom? >> Of course. That's what he wanted me to do. And then he followed me and then I followed him and we're back and forth across the house. >> You guys were in the master bedroom. What happened? >> Hey, he's getting clothes on and I stood in the door talking to him and he pushed me out of the way to go out into the other room and I said, "You think maybe I should call the police because you want to finish? I want to finish. Which one is it going to be? >> Finish." But you're going to have to ask some questions while you're doing that. >> Yeah. Uhhuh. >> So, at what point, how did he get red marks on your back and on his shoulder? >> I don't know how he got any marks on his back and shoulder. I have no idea. I know exactly how I got a big bump on my head. I was following him while he was screaming into the back into the study to hide from what he'd done. So, >> and he turned around and pushed me onto the floor and closed the door in my >> But once she was cuffed and calmed down, her story started to shift. She tried to justify her actions, saying her husband had been bullying her. Still, in explaining herself, she accidentally admitted she was the one who struck him first. >> Call you guys with the guns. Exactly. I just want you to know who you are serving, not me. You are not helping me. None of you people are helping me. Not a single person here is a public servant. >> Your legs in your car were taken to the hospital. >> Really? But if you would have left me alone, I could have gone there on my own. >> Leave you alone because you and now you're under arrest. We couldn't >> Right. Because my husband's an [ __ ] and you're all working for him. You're all >> working for him. God damn you. God to the jail. >> You're going to be getting cleared and then we're going straight to jail after. No, I'm not going to jail. I am not going to jail. >> Let's make this easy for us. >> You want to get checked out or not? >> Let's make it easy. I will kill myself if you want to get in jail. >> You want to get checked out? >> I won't move from here if you're going to put me checked out. Yes or no? Do you want to get checked out? >> Okay. You know what? Here. >> It's a simple question. >> I'll stand here and argue with you. >> Have a seat. >> I I need these off of me. >> I need these off of me. >> You cooperate with us. >> I am not a criminal. When you when you're respectful, then we'll help you out. >> When you're respectful, I'll stop calling you bummer. You haven't been respectful. >> I want my purse. It's got my pills. It's got the list of my medications. It's got all of my medical stuff in it. I want the hospital. >> I can't remember at all. >> I got stuck in the hospital without my purse. Once you >> calm down, you don't know what it was like. You have no idea what to give me my purse. >> Now calm down. >> Liars. I was promised I would have my purse me. >> Not a threat. >> Oh, it is. That's exactly what it is. You're threatening me. >> Not a threat there, Christian. >> That's exactly what it is. It's a threat. That's why you're telling me it's a threat. >> I'm just warning you so you don't get tased at the jail. >> It's a threat. >> It's a warning. We don't want you to get tased. >> Oh, really? You really care about me and you want to convince me of that now, huh? You don't give a [ __ ] >> You want to keep double cuffs on? want to tell you. >> Stand up. >> I got >> not going to tell you again. >> In the end, she was taken to jail and charged with domestic violence for assaulting her husband. Her outbursts, insults, and resistance toward police could also lead to additional charges for obstructing officers. The potential penalties, fines, probation, or even jail time, depending on what the court decides. When the crown of privilege finally slipped, the only thing left were fake tears no one believed. On June 3rd, 2024, police arrived at the scene after receiving reports that a woman and her husband refused to leave a property. When officers arrived, the woman remained inside her car and refused to cooperate, forcing police to intervene and take control. >> Get out of the car now. Get out of the car now. Get out of the car. >> I have a brain injury. >> You're under arrest. >> Get out of the car now. >> I have a brain injury. >> Get out of the car now. >> I was on the phone. >> Get out of the car. >> Make me move. I have a brain injury. >> Get out of the car now. I will pepper spray you. I will pepper spray you. Get out of the car. >> I have soft brain. >> Get out of the car now. >> Soft brain. I have soft brain. I have soft brain. Get out of the car now. You're under arrest. Dad. Dad. >> Get out of the car now. >> Dad. Dad. Dad. Dad. >> I have a brain injury. >> You're going to get two seconds. >> Let go. Let go of the steering wheel. >> Dad. I have a brain injury. These cops are hurting me. >> Don't turn. Don't turn. My shoulder's broken. >> Don't turn. >> Stay on your stomach. >> Don't kick. Hey, don't kick. >> Don't kick. >> My shoulder's broken. Ow. Ow. Stop. Stop. >> Hey, >> stop. I need my phone. My dad's on the phone. My dad. >> We will help you. >> My dad. My dad. >> My dad's on the phone. I need help. >> Don't kick me. Don't kick me. She's bleeding. >> Oh, I have a head injury. I have an aneurism. Do you understand that? >> This is abuse. >> Okay. >> This is abuse. >> Stop abuse. He's right here. >> No. >> I don't want to get your blood on over me. [Applause] >> He just slammed my head. Even after being handcuffed, the woman kept resisting and deliberately caused difficulties for the officers. Her constant complaints and refusal to cooperate, even after being restrained, reflected a stubborn mindset, unwilling to accept reality. She was later taken to jail and faced multiple charges, including resisting arrest, assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct, and trespassing. Just one day earlier in the same area, a bar employee had also been arrested in an emotional breakdown after stealing a purse and refusing to return it. And this is what happened next. >> I was with my co-workers. They were celebrating my last day. That was last night. I'm a new rep for celebrations. As if I represent the warf. We were just going out to celebrate my last date and some drunk really old lady talking to me. He leaves. One of my co-workers points out her bag is there. I grab it out of good faith. We're celebrating. I leave. You guys give us a call. My manager gives us a call. We come right back. >> Okay. So, what was the So, what what did you intend when you say good faith? Like what what did what do you mean by that? I was just like, "Oh, this lady this lady left her bag. She's telling me all this stuff about Oh, my ex left me all this stuff. She's at the bar by herself. >> I'm trying to be friendly." >> Now, let me ask you this. Um, did you try to make an attempt to anybody that works at the Warf? This person left the purse here. >> No, sir. I didn't. >> Why not? >> I just I didn't think about it. I just I didn't I didn't think we I I'm just not thinking of the course of action. So, >> okay. So, if you were to go back to that situation, >> what would you have done different? >> I would have not even touched the bag. I would have been like, "Oh, that's her." And I would have just left. So what I'm trying to get is don't you think it's a little bit >> it would have been better for you as you if you would have just asked the bartender who was in front of you right when the when the person is taking what was where did you take the purse from? >> Absolutely. I wouldn't have even touched I wouldn't have associated myself with the bag at all. I I have no intention. I work at Bodega. I work at Lightife. I I >> The footage showed a stark contrast in the suspect's behavior. While she appeared cooperative by answering questions, her body language and words were full of contradictions. What seemed like a good faith explanation was quickly dismissed by the officers when she herself admitted she never intended to return the purse. >> So, what happened? You walked outside and then what happened? >> I I walked outside. We we dropped off one of our co-workers at home. We get the call, him and I. He's like, "Oh, um, why are they giving us this call?" And I was like, "Oh, I have this lady's bag." And he's like, "Oh, [ __ ] you have her bag? And I'm like, yeah, I have her bag. And then we were like, oh [ __ ] let's go back. And we drove immediately. >> What were you going to do after with the bag? If you didn't, you didn't tell anybody. You don't know the person, right? You don't know the person. >> No, I don't know her name. >> You okay? So, how would you have given her or given her the opportunity to get her stuff back? You said you were trying to do the right thing, but you there was never an intent or there was never a motion for you to return the purse. And they wouldn't have been because you don't know the lady. You had already gone. You didn't look for her. You literally grab the bag. So there was no attempt whatsoever from your end to try to get this person the the bag. You know someone >> actions outside of the the war for the club >> are different. But as I'm in the club, somebody points out the bag and I'm like, "Oh [ __ ] she left it on the and I'm sure this is clear in the security footage or whatever that the lady tried to explain to me. I'm saying one of my co-workers points at the bag on the chair and I'm like, "Oh." I hold on to the bag >> and then we happen to leave. Like the the >> How long did it take you from the time that you saw the bag and grabbed it to the time you left? How long was that? Oh, I I have no idea. I >> if you were to give us something >> if I had if I had to give it a a a personal like just estimate. I grabbed the bag. We hung out. We left that Angel. I I'd say like >> police asked direct questions to clarify the suspect's true intentions, especially highlighting the 15 to 20 minutes in which she could have returned the purse but chose not to. The contradiction was clear. On one side, emotional crying. On the other, her admission that she made no effort to give the property back. >> No. >> Did you ever make contact with anybody that works in the warf to see if they can find out who she was? >> No. >> Okay. Um, did you make any other attempt whatsoever to return this purse other than just walking out of it? >> No, sir. I I I >> So, you understand how that looks bad, though, right? It looks like I'mma grab this bag. I have the opportunity. I'm going to make no attempt returning it. even though I think I'm doing something good, but I'm making absolutely zero attempt for me to find this person or give it to somebody that can find her for me. And then you had no way of contacting her. So, there was no way you ever get ever going to return to her because you have no idea who she is. You understand what I'm saying? >> I I understand. >> Okay. Is there anything else that you like to say? >> No. No. >> Well, I spoke to her and she's very upset. to rest for a grand theft. You mind turning around for me? Please screw yourself down. Finally, >> you back just relax. >> Yeah. >> Listen, it's not the end of the world, okay? I don't believe you're a hardened criminal, but at the end of the day, you made no attempt to return that first. Okay? >> And in your own words, you had about 20 to 25 minutes. I mean, 15 to 20 minutes to return it. You never even made an attempt to return it. Okay? So, and you have no way of getting contact with her. So, it's hard for me to believe that you would have returned that to her. You understand? That's why you're >> When the suspect admitted she never intended to return the purse, her actions went far beyond simply finding it and were officially considered a crime. Right after she was handcuffed, and placed in the patrol car. At that moment, the woman panicked, burst into tears, and kept begging to speak to her parents. >> Uh, is he your boyfriend or somebody? >> Did you want >> Okay. Would you like him to grab your stuff or you want to take your stuff with you? >> I want to take my stuff. >> You want his stuff? everything that you have on you. Your sunglasses. >> My parents are coming. >> Your parents are coming. >> Okay, so we'll wait and give it to them. Is that okay with you? >> Please. >> Okay, we'll do that. Yeah, no problem with that. >> Oh my god. >> Go ahead and take a seat over here for me. >> You can jump on that. >> I can. >> Okay. No, that's fine. Just lean against it. Just >> walk me. You don't have anything on you at all. >> No, it's fine. Relax. It's okay. >> Turn the AC off. Breathe. >> What are you thinking? >> Yeah, cuz I need to I need to talk to my partner. >> What? I'm saying how do I even like >> Just take one step. You could use both of your feet to step on the on the floorboard. >> Yeah. and then just kind of >> in the end the woman was taken to jail and charged with grand theft. The punishment for these charges could include fines, imprisonment, or both, depending on the seriousness and local law. When the tears had not yet dried on her cheeks, justice turned over the Valentine's card. On February 14th, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, police arrived at a hotel to execute an arrest warrant for a woman named Marina Perez on robbery charges. But it didn't stop there. Inside the room, they unexpectedly discovered drugs and guns. What seemed like a simple arrest instantly turned into a tense and unpredictable situation. >> Police department. >> Hi. >> How's it going? Good. >> Is uh Marina here? >> Yeah. >> All right. Open the door. >> Hello. >> Hi, Marina. >> Hi, >> Monster Cornado. I need you to step out right now. You're showing that you have a felony warrant. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Right now, >> shirts and stuff in there. >> So, right now you're being detained. Okay. We'll get you a shirt. We'll cover you up. >> Okay. >> Um I'll just confirm the warrant. If it confirms, you're going to get booked for it. If it doesn't, I'll release you and you can come back to doing whatever you're doing. All right. Okay. You can keep the dog this way. >> Yeah, she needs she needs shirts. >> Will you give me a shirt, please? >> Or a sweater. I have a sweater right there. >> Who's this guy? >> Um, he's just my friend, please. Um, >> I stepped out. I >> No, I got you. It's just >> at this point, we see the paraphernalia, so he has to be IDed as well. >> Okay. But like >> it's your first >> trying to get you covered up and this is all I'm knotted up. >> Okay. Yeah. I'm sorry. I was getting >> Okay. Right now you're being detained. The reason you're being detained is you're drunk. Okay. So, you have to ID yourself. You do not ID yourself. You're going to be placed under arrest. >> I just don't There's a gun. I do not feel safe with you in there. You're not free to leave. [Music] When officers asked the woman to come out and provide identification, the man with her showed suspicious behavior. Soon after, police discovered drugs and a firearm inside the room. The man immediately fled, forcing officers to chase him while another officer stayed at the hotel to continue checking the scene. [Applause] [Music] Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground, dude. 41342. [Music] >> Attention inside group 221 police department. Lock down my voice and answer clear of any objects. If you do so, I can show your safety. You do not force me to use against you. Final warning. Is she in the car? >> Yeah, she's in the car. Her dog's in there, too. >> In the car. Y, >> dude. So, like when I walk like see that under there? >> Oh, yeah. >> I'm like maybe this dude has like an ID. So, I go into this bag. I'm like, this looks like a good guy's bag. >> Jesus. Okay, >> so this is a Good. Good catch on this, man. >> Did he tell you it was his girlfriend? >> Yeah, that's what I heard. >> Let's go talk to her. >> Come here, puppy. It's okay. It's okay, baby. It's okay. >> It's okay, puppy. >> I know. You're just a puppy. I want to hurt you and I don't want you to hurt me. >> Hey, little nippy. Here, puppy. >> Be nice, baby. Be nice. It's okay. >> You know what? Before you do that, let me get a Let me get a leash away. >> Okay. >> Be nice, baby. >> Let's make my dogs at home jealous. Okay. I know. Hi. Hi. It's okay, baby. Be nice. Hey, it's okay. No, be nice. >> You're just being You're just protecting. >> Be nice. Be nice. >> Be nice. >> I know, buddy. >> Do you want me to get in there? >> All right. Here. Just start blocking off. >> Yeah. >> All right. We all good? >> Yeah. Unless you need anything more from her. >> Uh, no. Um, >> I explained everything to her. She doesn't have any questions about anything. >> Get the dog back or her mom or something like that. Yeah. >> Yeah. Cool. >> Yep. >> There you go. The search was lawful because the drugs and firearm were in plain view, allowing officers to investigate without a warrant. During questioning, the woman denied any connection to the man, but officers used evidence found in the room to refute her, showing she was not being truthful. >> Okay. Um, did you say that you wanted to talk to the officer? >> I mean, I asked him a couple questions. Yeah. >> Okay. So, you understood your rights and you know that at any time you can stop talking. Okay. Um, so right now with your shirt, I want to let I want to let you know because we've asked you a bunch of questions. Um, we found some explosive ordinance inside there. Probably a flashbang, but due to our standard operating procedure, we need to deal with that before we can go in and grab you stuff to put put over for a top. Okay. So, that that's for that. As far as any questions do you have? Do you have any questions? Little comics over here. >> He had a yellow, a big yellow insign. >> Oh, we have possession. >> Possession. A bunch of drugs. A bunch of drugs. We have >> rifle. Somebody grab a 40. Go >> ahead. >> Albuquerque police. I got commands. Face away from me, bro. You are detained. You're not free to leave. You attempt fight. force piece against you. Stop. Grab the top of your shirt. Spin in a circle. Do it now. Grab the top of your shirt, bro. Pull up. Pull up. I want to see your waist. Spin. You don't You don't have to do that. Okay. Drop down to one knee for me, bro. Drop down to the other knee. Put on your shirt real quick. Keep your hands up, though. Got cuffs on top of your head. Yeah. >> Are you injured, sir? >> Yeah. >> Where are you injured? >> Any weapons on you? >> Nice. No. >> Anything that's going to poke, prick, or stab me? No. >> Anybody else over there? Spread your feet for me. [Music] The man was arrested after a police drone located him hiding near a dumpster. Even in handcuffs, he kept resisting and arguing, claiming he was innocent and being harassed. He even refused to provide his identity to the officers. >> What's going on? >> What's your last name? >> So me being harassed and not being your last name from you guys or what? >> What's your last name? >> You can do your job. >> Yeah, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. So I mean the longer the longer you do this, you're going to be in handcuffs longer, dude. >> Until we identify who you are, you're going to be in handcuffs. So it's your job. >> Okay. We can be a [ __ ] about it, too. That's fine with me. Weren't you just harassing me? >> I wasn't over there. Who was the one harassing me? >> Not me. >> What's everything? >> Resisting invading. >> Resisting an invading. >> I wasn't I was I never did anything wrong. I never did anything wrong to >> to be detained. >> Talk about that. >> All right. We'll fight that in court. We'll take that [ __ ] I'm not supposed to be here. >> Identify who you are. >> Okay. Well, what? Get that care of and then I'll see you in court. >> Xavier. >> Who's Who's the Who's the Who's the Who's in charge of the report? You or who's in charge? >> We're all going to have to do reports. But listen to me. If you don't give us your name, we either take you to get fingerprinted. If you've been to NBC before, we'll find out that way. But >> why you do it that way? >> Because extra charges, bro. >> Because we add an extra charge. >> For what? >> Concealing identity. >> I'm not concealing no identity. I was, bro, right here, right now. >> At first, I was not doing a single thing for you guys to question me for anything. What's going on? He stepped into my room. I asked if he stepped out. This guy stepped his foot in my way. He was He was He was in my way. I was in his way. He was in my way. He was harassing me, bro. You're you're placing yourself there. I wasn't there. Okay, stop. Give me your name and date of birth and then if you want >> I wasn't placing myself nowhere, bro. >> Xavier, listen, man. It's We're not even questioning you about what was going on before. Concealing identity is a whole separate charge. So, if you're not >> My name is Xavier Garcia. I already told you guys this. I told I told officer over there. So, what what is the problem? >> Xavier, what's your date of birth? >> I didn't I didn't commit no crime. So, why why am I being detained right now? >> What is your date of birth? >> Resisting? What am I resisting? If I was in if I was in address, what what did I do to be detained to begin with? >> Those officers were contacting you for whatever reason they were contacting me. >> They were harassing me. They stepped foot in my door. >> They stepped foot in my door. We'll talk to my lawyer. >> He continued to insist he was innocent even though he had thousands of dollars in cash on him and the hotel room was full of drugs and weapons. Ironically, making so much money yet living like a drifter in a cheap hotel. In the end, he was taken into custody while officers continued discussing the charges. >> 29th >> for him. >> Confirm >> four or five. >> I thought it was uh for some reason that thought they're calling Alex. Yeah, he's 33. >> He's going to be getting a whole bunch more. >> Every single one of those in there is a separate felony charge. Guarantee stolen or >> Yeah. stole scratch number guns. Maybe like homemade like the Stanford receiver. >> They're taking all that cash, too. >> That is, >> man. Yeah. >> Yeah, there's a So, like I said, when I went in to go and see if they had an ID for that dude, I went to the bag and I unzipped the front pouch and just it's stuffed with cash. 100s, too. >> Dude, he's probably one of the biggest drug dealers in this area. I think because >> he has like four felony warrants. So, no wonder he ran >> and he had 8 grand on him. >> 8 grand. >> What's What's in the room? >> Plus in the room. Dude, it's it's going to be 20,000 plus probably. >> So, we got resistant evating five. you have possession with intent to distribute >> or >> times however many different types of drugs are in there. I saw pills. I saw I mean I saw blues. I saw definite coke. >> Um whatever is in that little baggie which is the red and red and whites which kind of looks like Tylenol. >> Those look like Tylenol. >> I don't know why he answered. >> How crazy he ran from you guys cuz you harassed him and barged into his front door. >> Police found a large amount of drugs in the hotel including over 6,100 g of fentanyl. over 2,300 g of cocaine, 522 gram of heroin, $47,000 in cash, and four firearms, three handguns, and an AK-47. Along with this evidence, the man was charged with highlevel drug trafficking, and resisting evading arrest. Although the resisting charge was later dropped, he still faces serious drug trafficking charges. Penalties for this crime can include lengthy prison sentences, massive fines, and probation depending on local law. As for the woman, she was arrested by police on the outstanding robbery warrant that had already been issued against her. She was not charged in connection with the drugs and firearms found in the hotel room. Between the flashing lights of the investigation and the million-dollar stash, a dark truth came to light. On December 3rd, 2024, police received a report about the presence of a woman named Jessica who was wanted. They quickly arrived to execute the arrest warrant, but when the encounter took place, the situation was far from simple. >> Oh, they live in a junkyard. Cool. Look at that sweet CRV. A separate unit upstairs. Back door. [Applause] Yeah, he's right. >> What's up? >> What's up? >> Jessica in there. >> Who? >> Jessica. >> The only people that I know is here >> is all dudes. So, no Jessica. >> There's no females in here. >> Somebody called and said she's here. >> Well, I'll tell you what. I've been here for this. This is my nephew's house. I've been here for I don't know 3 hours. There's no female here that I've seen. >> Is your nephew here? >> My nephew is here. Mikey, >> can we talk to him? >> I mean, I asked him, you know, he's kind of slow. >> Okay. >> You know what I'm saying? But that's why I came out and speak to you. >> Uh, >> if we could ask him, that'd be great. >> I mean, I'll go ask you for you, but he's scared. You know, y'all, he's slow mentally challenged. Okay. You know what I mean? >> Sweet. Thanks. >> Yeah. I don't know. No, Jess. >> I mean, okay. >> But I'll find out for you. >> Okay. I appreciate it. >> Let me in, Mikey. I'm >> I've been here for since probably about seven. >> What's your first name? >> What's my first name? >> Listen, I I'm on parole. You're I'd rather not have no police contact, but my nephew's mentally challenged. I'm Billy Kennedy. I'm somewhere on >> You're Billy? >> I'm Billy. I'm Bobby's ass twin. >> What's up, man? Yeah, but you know this is my nephew's house. >> Okay. >> Uh, >> is he going to come to the door so we could talk to him? >> I mean, probably not. Scared death, you know what I mean? >> So, you know what I mean? I'm not trying to, you know, downgrade him or anything. >> You look like a dude off chips. >> I don't try to. That they're doing a contact. >> I'm asking you right now is what I'm saying. You're hard to find. Not hard to find. I got an address. >> Is this >> I'm on parole. >> Is this your address? >> No, it's not my address. >> Exactly. >> Right. >> So, you're not at your address. >> Have you went to my address looking for me? >> Have I? No. Personally, no. >> Has anybody? >> I don't know. >> Absolutely not. >> She did not directly confront the police, but used another person as a shield. All of Billy's statements were meant to mislead, as he kept insisting there was no woman inside the house and spun a complicated story about his nephew. The exchange quickly grew tense between Billy and the officers. >> We have now, >> you know, talk to whoever you want to talk about. How come they ain't come? >> You got a number I can have them call you? >> Absolutely. You should have text. I don't carry a phone, man. My pro officer knows that. >> You don't have a phone? >> I have a text now number you can text to and I'll look at it and see. >> What detective? >> I don't know. >> Anthony. James Anthony wants it. >> Yeah. Probably nothing. >> Nothing. All right. >> Who's that? Come back. I ain't done nothing. Hands down, buddy. You hear me? Look at me. >> I hear I'm I don't know what it's referenced, >> right? >> But somebody put somebody up the door on something. >> Let me talk. Let me get >> Whoever the detective was, I thought he was smart enough to catch the lie like I did. >> Let me get Let me get a hold of the detective. >> He's kind of mentally uh >> Yeah, but I understand that. We want to ask him a couple questions. >> I just told you I've been over here for two days. I'm not here to lie to you. >> I appreciate that. I have not >> ran into anybody over this house named Jessica or anything like that. >> There's no females in here. >> The only female that I've seen here >> was my niece. >> What's her name? >> That's it. >> What's her name? >> You're Anna. That's it. >> Doesn't matter. I don't know. But that's irrelevant. Can I talk to you? >> Anna's not here now. >> Okay. She's not here now. >> No. I thought yesterday I ran into you know I have no idea. I don't even know who this girl. I never seen her before. I had no idea. >> Jessica, you got a warrant. Okay, turn. >> I have my thing on though. >> Well, you've got a couple active warrants. >> Wait, no. >> Because you have warrants. Please drop that cigarette. Okay. >> Please drop the cigarette. >> Please drop the cigarette. >> Drop it. >> Please drop the cigarette. >> Okay. >> I'll tell you. Give me more information. Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> Together. >> Who else is in the house yet? Okay. >> Officer, like I can you tell me why? I thought I thought you were serving me with my indictment from my >> got a couple warrants out of Summit County. >> For what? >> Something that happened this morning maybe. >> I haven't even been up >> or yesterday. >> I haven't even been awake. >> I don't know. >> I've been sick. >> After being exposed, her mindset shifted to fear and defensive reflexes when faced with the consequences. Her repeated action of putting her hand into her pocket was an unconscious behavior, showing she was trying to hide something or looking for a chance to get rid of it. >> I have a lighter in your pocket. Okay. >> No, I'm I know I don't have anything illegal. I'm saying, >> okay, that's what he's asking. >> In my pocket. >> What pocket might there be something? >> What pocket? >> Is there any needles? Is that okay? >> No, no, no. >> Anything in this pocket? >> No. >> What pocket are you curious about? No, I'm just saying I might have like a lighter or something. Yes, if I had anything in my pocket. >> Anything in this pocket? >> Can I talk to >> Jessica? What What is this? >> Oh, that's not definitely not mine. Oh my god, bro. That's not mine. >> Okay. Well, who is it? >> Is it Billy's? >> All right. >> He didn't know you were here. >> Oh my god. [Applause] The court of law, you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed representing for any questioning if you wish. You can decide anytime and exercise these rights not answer any questions or make any statements. You understand these rights? I've read to you. I'm sure it's not the first time this has been read to you. Correct. >> No, this is the second time. I've never even >> have these rights of mind. Uh can talk to me and tell me what this is so I don't have to open it and possibly expose myself to fentanyl and >> Oh, no. It's it it's meth invented. >> It's meth. Thank you. I appreciate you. Thank you. All right, perfect. So, we're going to have a seat in my cruiser. Um, we're going to send these hits. >> Can I hit my cigarette? >> Yeah. You know what? You You were cool with me. I'm going to give you your cigarette. Okay. >> Okay. Do you know how long that's been? >> Do you have a lighter? >> There's got to be one one of these cruisers. I'm sure there is. >> I know that they have one, too. And that's my jacket, but >> Yeah. No, I got you. Anything in the jacket we need to be worried about? >> I mean, I'm good without it if as long as we're I'm going in the car, right? >> Yeah. >> I'd rather not take it. Okay. >> I was dumb. Damn it. I didn't I was walking and I I grabbed it. I I grabbed it on the way down on the floor. >> What the uh >> police anticipated the suspect's behavior and acted in time. Her admission about possessing drugs did not come from honesty, but from knowing she no longer had any way to deny it. >> I'm sorry. I I didn't know that. I I guess the charge of me was what? active warrant. Well, >> you have a warrant and you have the meth. Um, do you have anything else illegal on you? They're going to find in jail on the scanner, >> but the active warrant is for intimidation or I don't even know what it is. >> I know, honey. I just want to tell you I didn't know this is not legit. I did not do [ __ ] You know, I've been going to my appointments, everything. >> So, I just want you to know like I didn't know about this [ __ ] >> I I think you're a liar. >> Is what it is. >> He's scared now. >> No, no, no. I think >> I didn't know about this [ __ ] man. >> They know well I didn't know he's got issues and he there a lot of them have been telling him I don't even want to be here. Okay. He thinks I want to be in this area. >> I'm here because I have nowhere else to go. I rented a room. >> I literally rented a room. >> Jessica, I need you to spit that out. Okay. >> Take a couple hits out of here. >> Take what you need and then it's going to have to go out. >> Other thing you said, >> well, you you got a couple warrants and you you got the mess. Um, we're going to send hits on the warrants. >> I think they're out of Summit County. If they don't want you, they don't want you. I'll give you summons for the mess. If they want you, you have to go and we have no >> So, I could possibly get out. >> If Summit County does not want you, >> okay, >> you may not go, but >> you got sent out here. >> Hey, I'm going to We got to send the hit and it's like 20 minutes to wait and then I'll let you know what I know. I'm not going to lie to you. I've been honest with you >> and since the beginning honestly I couldn't remember if that was in my pocket or not cuz when I walked down honest you guys scared the [ __ ] out of me >> Jessica it's a minor drug charge in Summit County. It's not the end of the world. It's paperwork at this point. Okay. >> But I got we got to do what we got to do. Okay. >> Yeah. I was just being honest with you. >> I'll be honest with you. >> I just I I used to do drugs. I don't do them anymore. The officers maintained professionalism, reassured the woman, and explained each step of the process clearly, thereby ensuring the legality of the arrest. Even though she was handcuffed, Jessica still refused to take responsibility, continuing to make excuses and trying to convince others that she was the real victim. >> Warrants were already confirmed. They're good. But I said that she kindly turned herself in with meth and she'll be going on that I assume. I guess I assume >> bro I wouldn't have recognized her. >> No, she looks way different. >> That's why I had that's why I had to look at her or ask her her name. >> Um, anyone else going or is she a >> Okay. All right. We'll get 30 and then just one stolen vehicle. Don might be >> well I ran out I ran that van which belongs here and this one's okay. >> The plate from this one was stolen. >> I talked to him. He's going to go in tomorrow at 8:30. >> Any of you guys here? >> Yeah, they want you. 87. >> The other officer already confirmed it. >> Right. >> They want you for your arrest here. That's I mean, I can't do anything about that. >> How can you get away with that? >> That's something you're going to have to take care of in court. >> In the end, the woman was arrested, taken to jail, and charged with drug possession, as well as an outstanding warrant for witness intimidation. She now faces sentencing for both crimes. Punishment could include imprisonment, probation, or a combination of both depending on state law and the severity of the offenses. Between clumsy concealment and blind pride, stands unyielding justice. On February 14th, 2024, police pulled over a vehicle after the driver ran a red light and was swerving, raising suspicion of drug or alcohol use. At first, it was just a routine traffic stop, but the suspect's aggressive resistance quickly escalated the situation. [Music] Hey, do you have insurance? That's what I was trying to ask you before you roll up the window on me. >> I'm sorry. >> Yeah. >> Where are those roaches in the center council, ma'am? >> Huh? >> Are those roaches in the center council? >> Roaches? Are those blunts in there down there? >> Huh? Okay. >> There's nothing illegal in the car, is there? >> Nothing illegal in the car, is there? I >> I'm sorry. >> Yes. >> What? What did I just say? >> I got to ask. Have you been drinking, ma'am? >> Ma'am? >> No. >> Have you been drinking? >> You see anything on your side? >> I mean, there's a black bag up behind her purse. I can't tell there's anything in it, though. >> Looks like she spilled something. I see something spilled on the driver's side or the passenger side. What's all this? She's doing something else. >> I think she uh probably >> while she was driving >> Who are you? >> Okay, take your hands out of your pocket. >> I ain't got nothing in my pocket. >> Okay, step over there. >> [ __ ] I'm just asking question. >> Step over here. Okay, back on the sidewalk, >> please. >> It's a traffic stop. >> What's the problem? >> I don't know why he pulled her over. He pulled her over for a reason. What? I'm just asking a question, bro. >> Okay. Well, he's conducting whatever he's conducting and then we'll be done with her. Okay. >> I'm saying what? >> When the officer asked the woman to step out of the car, her brother suddenly appeared, deliberately trying to distract the police. At the same time, she secretly opened the car door and poured out bottles of alcohol onto the ground. Clearly, her brother's actions were a tactic to interfere and create a diversion, giving her the chance to destroy evidence. >> Come get the car, bro. Like what's the problem? I just want to know what's going on. >> I don't know. >> Hey, do me a favor, sir. >> Wait in the side over there. Wait on the side over there. >> Come over here. Come over here. Come over here. >> Have you been drinking? >> Ma'am, have you been drinking? >> No. >> Okay. Are you earlier in the day? Okay. Okay, come over here. Come here, ma'am. Right here. >> I didn't say what the pulled me over. >> I did. She went right through a red light on East and Roosevelt. And you said you had to pee. >> Ma'am, come over here. >> Still got to pee. >> Ma'am, come over here. >> Can I pee right now? >> No. Come over here. >> She got to pee. I wanted to piss on myself. >> No. Piss right there. >> No, she can piss right there. >> Ma'am, I do me a favor, sir. We're in Sir, do me a favor. We're in the middle of a traffic stop right now. Stand over there. Okay. >> Sit to open the door so she can pee, bro. She got to use it. >> She can't pee right there. >> Y'all don't hear that. >> Sir, do me a favor. Step over here. Okay. >> I'm saying if you got the piss, bro, you going to pull over and fold. >> If you in your car, you going to pull over and piss, bro. >> Where you going? >> Damn. Y'all don't understand. >> I got a whole tube. >> You see it, right? >> Tap. You see it? >> Use it. I don't use it. What the >> can I pee or no? >> No. >> Piss in your car. Damn. A mother can't use the bathroom, >> man. We got to insurance all that. I just had her come and get me. >> Back up over here. >> All she want to do is open that. Open the door. >> She pisses us. >> The woman not only tried to cover up her own mistakes, but also used her family to mislead officers. Her repeated excuses about needing to use the restroom were not simple justifications. They were a manipulative tactic to stall for time and look for a way out of an unfavorable situation. >> Who pulled the gun on you? >> Where where did this happen at? >> You're not making this up, are you? >> What happened? >> What club? >> Scoreboards. >> Okay. Someone pull a gun on you, bro. I come next. >> Okay. Do you know who it was that pulled the firearm on you? >> You don't know that. >> What color was the firearm? >> You don't know. >> Black. >> Did they brandish you or they physically pointed it at you? >> Chicago. >> I'm sorry. >> How did you know? >> I was more in their they purse. >> So you seen a firearm? >> Yes. >> Okay. You got into [ __ ] >> You know where they are? No. I got to ask these questions. >> I don't know their name. No. >> Okay. Were you Were they at school? I understand you got a few man, >> but you can't be pissing right over here. I >> I didn't >> I understand. Do me a Hey, Gonzalez. >> Gonzalez, do me a favor. Watch her. Stand right here. I don't want Come away from the middle of the street. >> Why don't you give her a ticket, man? I'm not using the [ __ ] bad. >> No, don't do it. Don't do it. >> Get back on the side. >> If I got to tell you again, you're getting cuffed. >> I'm just talking to her, bro. You act in danger. >> She comes back and fortunice 15 and one for traffic >> on Wayne man up out of here. Sorry for repeat all that tough ass [ __ ] cuz you can lock a [ __ ] one for traffic. >> Come on, man. >> And it looks like Chicago TV for >> Hey, ma'am. Come over here real quick. I don't know why you climb on my car phone. You told us stand right here. Come over here. Come over here. >> Hey. Hey. You wanted to put a photo a series of SFSDs standardized field sobriety test. >> What's that? >> Uh my leg. You see my legs already? Police gave her multiple chances to cooperate, but her refusal to perform the SFST, standardized field sobriety test, only reinforced the initial suspicion. When she was informed she was under arrest for resisting, she immediately changed her mind. But by then, it was already too late. >> You're under. It's too late for that now. underrest. >> You're going to go be safe now. This hurt right here. >> Wait, this hurt. Okay, quick take off. You're right. >> Hey. Hey, Gonzalez. >> Excuse me, sir. >> That's your purse. Get that for me. >> Don't you d the heat in there. I didn't have it. So don't get in my [ __ ] Don't get in my [ __ ] bro. >> We're going to get your purse. >> Why >> you want these? >> I don't want it >> [ __ ] I don't want cuz why y'all locking me up, right? >> Inside the patrol car, the woman continued her negative attitude. She complained that the handcuffs were painful and wouldn't stop yelling, showing frustration rather than remorse. Clearly, she still believed she was innocent and that she was being treated unfairly. >> No, there's keys in there. I need >> I didn't get to search her, but >> I didn't. >> Thanks. >> So, this woman um went through the [Music] >> contin swerving. Stopped right here. uh made contact. She was kind of off. Um said she had a pee and then she's telling me that just right now that someone uh point a firearm at it over that Okay. So I was asked if she's intoxicated. Um >> closed for an hour. >> Yeah. Uh show signs of being intoxicated. Um she kept blowing her window up when I was asking her insurance. I don't know who she was talking to. Someone on the phone immediately >> here because he ended up coming up later. So, uh, >> he just like walked up here. >> Yeah, I seen I thought someone was singing, but I guess he was yelling all the way from the gas station. >> So, um, >> well, he said his shoes are designated driver, >> huh? >> He just said that she was his designated driver. >> Well, yeah, it's that's that's >> But he wasn't he wasn't in the car. >> No, he was right. He came from all the way over there from originally. That's when I first noticed him walking yelling. Um, she was on her phone and all that stuff. Kept rolling the window up on me. Um, I'm not quite sure what this was. >> In the end, the woman was taken to jail and faced serious charges, including resisting arrest, DUI, destruction of evidence, and disorderly conduct. Penalties could include jail time, heavy fines, driver's license suspension, and mandatory rehabilitation programs depending on local law. On May 27th, 2023 in Florida near New Smyrna Beach, officers responded to a 911 call about a car that had driven past the restricted beach access and straight into the ocean. And here's what went down when they showed up. >> And they kind of stopped us when they said that we almost hit a child. I didn't think that we did. Um, that's what they told us. I just thought that we got stuck in the water. We were just trying to get out of it, but um that's what they told us. And we're just trying to >> And then there was so many people. >> We're just trying to be accepted through everything and not and there was so many people. >> Yeah. Well, the people are down here because you can't drive on this part of the beach. >> I'm so sorry. We We were driving from Houston to MNA and we got over here and I'm so sorry. You didn't think that we could do a U-turn around here. So, we're just trying to keep going. >> I'm so sorry. >> So, who was driving? You or >> I was driving. >> You were driving? >> Yes. >> No, but >> I didn't think that we could do a U-turn. I thought we had to keep going. >> Well, there's no driving at all over here. >> I'm so sorry. We were driving from New Smyrna. I don't >> I'm I I I really >> But where those rocks are and those poles that say no vehicles, >> there's no driving beyond them. >> You have a sticker that says that we were parked like on the beach. We we weren't >> right. >> So I I take full responsibility. I was not. >> Yes, please. Like like and then there was so many people. >> Please help us. >> Witnesses on the scene said the car nearly ran over several beachgoers. I mean, how drunk do you have to be to drive into the ocean? This wasn't a case of losing control for a second. Nah, this was a full send into the waves. Zero breaks, zero common sense, all chaos. >> So much of a crowd. >> Hey, be careful. Shoot. >> We weren't. I mean, like, shoot. >> What are we going to do? >> We're going to figure it out. >> Please help us. I'm not >> they don't want to fall. >> And then like so many people like it was almost a 50. >> It's just you two in the car. >> And we would drive on. Yeah. Remember those really big poles? >> Every one of them had a sign that says do not cross here and let pass. >> So what do we do to get that car out? >> Wait till the tide goes down. Maybe about 6 hours. >> So can we tell y'all what we need from the park? >> Yeah. Give me I wouldn't grab umbrellas or nothing, but if you got like bags or something, grab those. >> Give you my >> Yes. >> Okay. I need my purse set. Okay. >> Anything you don't want to leave for the ocean, I will take >> my but how how do we get everybody to get away from us? >> The beach are free to be here. >> Yeah. [Applause] >> Oh yeah. >> There's no way you would drive over here though and not. I don't want to do driving. >> No, you can't. >> We always had to take it back. >> Now, there were signs clearly posted saying cars aren't allowed, but let's be real. Who's reading signs when they're hammered? Maybe they thought they'd just cruise through and find a way out on the other side of the beach. Spoiler alert, they didn't. Instead, they found a whole new kind of trouble. >> I did have a crack. >> Okay, just one. >> But you know what? My only part is in the back part, and I can't open the back part. Okay. You can try to get what you need. >> You have more at home. >> I still have more at home, but not >> you have a way to get home. >> I'm not going home without her. >> She's going to go to jail. Okay. >> No. >> All right. So, you can go with her or you can stay out and get So, your best thing to do for her instead of fighting with us and arguing with us? >> No, I would not. >> I'll tell you what her bond is. It's probably going to take us a good hour to do the paperwork and then try to bond her out. No, I I I'm not going to argue with you, >> okay? >> I'm not an outdoor person, >> okay? >> I I will never argue with you. >> So, what are we doing right now? You disagreeing with me? >> What? >> Disagreeing with you. >> I'm not going to disagree with you. I just tell >> All right, sir. Go ahead and turn that on. >> No. >> Sorry. What do I do now? >> You can bonder out. >> I will. I will. But like, what do I do now? >> You need to call someone and have them come pick you up. >> Are you hurt from any of this? >> No, sir. >> Okay. Do you have anything on you that we need to know about? >> No. >> You need to call someone to come pick you up. All right. You got Do you want your phone to go with you? You want her to hang on to it? >> Go ahead and give it to her. She'll call my husband. >> Okay. >> My phone. her. >> Her bond's only going to be $1,000. So 10% is $100. >> All right. >> I will get her out. >> Okay. >> I can't. >> So I'm going to go get her in my car. >> No, please. >> No. >> Just do it. >> I'm just telling you what's happen. >> Relax. >> What do I go ahead and go? Okay. >> For a minute. >> Just call her. >> All right. Come on, Sarah. >> You're going to arrest me, too? >> No. >> Some folks even think GPS might have rerouted them through the beach, but credit where credit's due. When the cops got there, the driver, a young woman, was calm, cooperative, and handled it like an adult. Her friend, on the other hand, looked like she was about to lose it. More freaked out than the driver herself. >> Going to happen. >> She's going. You need to find somebody to come pick you up. >> Please be here. I'm begging you. >> Call somebody then. >> I'm calling. I'm calling. Please don't go. I don't know where I am. Please. >> I'm going to tell you where you're at. >> Please don't leave me. Please, I'm begging you. >> I'm right here. >> Thank you for your services. >> Thank you, buddy. >> Connory, I need your voice over. >> Thanks, buddy. >> I need you, Connory. We're arrested. >> What do you mean you got arrested? >> Can you please officer, can you tell him? >> How's it going, sir? This is Deputy Holl. >> You know, she finding that pretty bad. She She almost struck a child. Child actually had to jump. She must ran over >> that one, too. >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. There's another trial >> 2 ft away. Yeah. >> She flew right through it. 40 m 30 to 40 mph. >> From wherever you enter all the way down there, all these people chasing after them trying to stop them, they they wouldn't stop them. >> They drove right by all the signs and say, "Do not drive beyond this point." >> But if they didn't get stuck, they would have hauled us down here. They probably would have hit something, >> right? Did you talk to the pregnant lady that was sitting in the water that couldn't? >> She She's filling out a statement right now. >> So, how are they going to get the power out? >> Uh, once the tide goes back down, >> we'll have to try to get a tow truck down here and tow it out, but we're going to have to wait a while. >> Is it a rental car or her car? >> It's her car. You want me to drive back or? >> Yeah, I'll put it. >> The driver was taken to the station for a breathalyzer test, which came back at 0.153, well over the legal limit. She was charged with DUI and reckless driving. Her bail was set at $1,000, and if she's convicted, she could be looking at a suspended license. So, what happens when a drunk teen passes out behind the wheel? In March 2024, the sheriff's office in Lee County, Florida, got a call about a suspicious car parked on the side of the road. When first responders showed up, they found an 18-year-old girl named Paige passed out in the driver's seat, kicking off a situation that quickly turned strange and seriously concerning. >> Where's Where's home? >> No, this ruin my >> Hey, hey, listen to me. We need to talk. You can't just run away. Okay. Take a deep breath. >> You're not leaving. Stay right here. >> Take Stay right here. >> Take Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. >> Hey, >> are you okay? What's your name? >> What's your name? >> Okay. Do you have anything to drink today? >> I don't want to go to jail. I don't >> That's not what I'm asking you, Paige. >> Yes, it is. That's what I always do. I don't want to go to jail. I am not going to jail. I am not answering that until I have a court in this. >> So, you don't know if you had anything to drink today. >> I am not going to jail. I am not going to jail. I am not answering that. >> Uh, there's two bottles in the passenger floor. >> Hey, cut it out. Don't do stupid. >> Paige, do you do you want to participate in a field sobriety exercise? >> Yes. Yes, please. Yes. Yeah. >> Okay, that's fine. All right, so we'll get that going. Okay. >> Right now? >> Yeah, give me a second. So, >> oh, not a second. I want to do it now. >> The moment she was woken up, Paige seemed dazed and totally out of it. She was confused, a little whiny, and clearly trying to talk her way out of trouble. You could tell she knew she was in hot water and was scrambling to dodge the consequences. >> Is my trainee going to do it for him? >> Because y'all don't understand. I was literally standing there. I was fine talking to people. I was perfectly fine. I had drink after I got in there. You write your camera on, don't you? >> I do have a body camera. Yes. >> Am I going to jail? >> If you pass a field sobriety exercise, you should be fine. >> And I'm fine. >> Okay. >> I can't walk in a straight line tober. I want you to know that. >> We'll have several um questions to ask you before we start. >> I know the test. I know the test. I never did it before. I know the test. >> Are you on the phone with somebody? Looks like someone's on the phone. >> Oh, hi. I didn't know. Hi, Mom. They having me do a field soiety test. I'm going to look right now. How old are you, Paige? >> No, I'm not telling you. Because if you know how old I am, then I'm going to jail. >> Why is that? >> Cuz I'm 18. If y'all smell any alcohol on my breath, I know damn going. I'm not doing that. Y'all can do your little soriety cuz whatever. I don't care. >> So, I just want to explain to you based on on our observation and what we found in the vehicle and what I smell on you. We're going to I want I'm requesting you if you want it's up again. It's up to you if you want to do a field sobriety exercise. >> Uh fire already taken the keys out of her vehicle, but they said that the keys were in the vehicle. She's saying something about it won't run. >> We saw her in the vehicle when we arrived. Um she never exited while you guys were here. >> Uh we got here and she she thought we were you guys and she climbed in the back seat. Freak out. And then we told her we you know we could take you to the hospital. said the hospital is better than jail. But she's like, "No, I'm not going anywhere. I just want to go home." >> Then she said she called a triple AAA, which AAA got here. That tow truck you saw was AAA. Okay. >> I guess she said she tried to start her. >> When officers searched the car, they found two bottles of alcohol inside. That was all they needed to ask Paige to take a field sobriety test. She agreed, but not without trying to set a few conditions first. Yeah, it was one of those interactions. >> Well, you can't hang off yet. >> All right. Okay. Stand up. He's gonna be doing your exercise. Jason, this right here. >> Stand right here for me. >> And the end closer. All right. You're going to stand with your feet together, your hands down at your sides. Follow with your eyes. Your eyes only turn our head. Okay. >> Am I allowed to blink my eye? >> Yes. Turn your head. >> Is that good? Are more? >> It will be more. Yes. >> Can I have my hands right here so I know this? >> Just a little bit. That way she can open her arms without touching the vehicle. >> I don't I'm not going to open my arms. >> I still have a couple more tests I need to do. >> Are my keys in doesn't matter. >> Yeah, it does matter. >> No, it doesn't. >> It doesn't matter. We're not. >> Listen, like I said, we're not going to argue. We're not going to play games. Do the exercises or don't. You're not free to go >> cuz you know you're lying. >> You're not free of Give me your for the duration of the exercises. You cannot have the baby. >> You cannot have the baby. All right, listen to the instructions. Ready? >> I'm I'ming listening. Go. >> Feet together, hands on your sides like this. Front, >> making sure that your feet tuck with each step. >> Can I walk on on this side so I'm not going to take nine steps? >> Can I step back on? >> Yes. Don't lean on the EMS, please. >> Okay, we have one more exercise. Stand right here again facing me. >> Stay on the shade. >> Stand in the shade if you want. Keep your feet pull. Feet together. Hands down your side just like before. Okay. >> Actually, face this way. >> Walking. >> You're not going to be walking. This is a standing exercise. Okay. You're going to take your left foot and lift it 6 in off the ground. Can you Can you count to 10? Can you count to 30? >> Yes. >> Okay. You should be fine in this exercise. Okay. >> I got to count to 100. >> You don't have to count to 100. You have to count till I tell you to stop. Okay. 1,001 1,002 10003 till I say to stop. You're going to look down at your toes the entire time and keep your hands out of your side. Okay. Go ahead and begin when you're ready. 1,00 1,002 1003 100 4005 1006 1007 My car would not work. This is not my fault. I called TripleA because my car would not work. Not because I was trying to go to jail. If I knew if I if I was drunk, I would have called I would not have called anybody. >> Paige, do you live in here? >> No, I do not live in here. I pulled in here because I couldn't drive anywhere and somebody helped me push my car off to the side of the road. That's it. >> Someone helped you push your car here? >> Yes. I did not push my car here by myself. I I put that in neutral and somebody helped me push my car to the side. >> What's wrong with your car? Why is it not >> It doesn't work. >> Hey, I'm not I'm not >> Her behavior straight out of the Tik Tok school of bad decisions. She seemed to think knowing your rights meant you can argue with cops and get away with anything. Dropping out of school probably didn't help. She was clearly mixing up personal rights with resisting arrest. >> I was tired. I've been up since 6 last night and haven't slept. I was tired and I was waiting for Triple A to get here. >> Why haven't you slept that long? >> I've been up since 6 and 6 7 8 in the morning every night and my sleep schedule is messed up. I have not slept. >> Do you live around here or >> No, I already said I don't live around here. I live on the beach. >> You said >> somebody push my help me push my car over here. That was it. >> Where were you heading though? >> It was on the side of the road because >> Fort Myers Beach is pretty far from >> I was trying to make a Uturn because where I was going low key was none of your business. None. Nobody. Can I try that one again or is that not the same? >> Try which one again? >> The last one. The 10,002003. I can't like that's I I don't ever need to count that high. Like that's just not my thing. >> At this point, you're going to be placed under arrest for drug plus >> for what? >> I did my whatever that was. >> Listen, if if you want, you can still do the breathalyzer. >> Let me do the breathalyzer. >> Okay. But we can't do it here on the side of the road. We have to actually go to the jail to do it. >> Okay. >> And if it's under 0.08, I get let go. >> Here's my car. >> Can I have my phone? Can I have my phone? Can I got it? It's coming with you. >> And my vape. >> Yep. It's coming. >> Promise. Pinky. Promise. >> Only your phone. I don't think the jail takes there's money in there. I don't think there is. >> All right. Go ahead. Just have a seat. >> Watch your step. Watch your head. >> Can't undo that seat belt. >> Well, it's supposed to go over you. That way we can put your seat belt on. >> And then the seat belt. >> Unbuckle it cuz these are enabling. >> You'll be all right. It is unbuckled. Go ahead and slide in. >> No, that is Watch. >> I am not tall enough to get up in that seat. >> Put your feet on the floor. You'll have an easier time doing it. >> Yeah. Use your legs. >> You're an I'm just trying to help. >> I understand that, but you cannot get out at this point. You have you're you're 18 years old, right? That's what you told me. You have to be an adult about this. It is what it is at this point. You're going to have to go through the process. >> I go through the process, but I'm not going to stop myself from trying to get out. >> Well, if you do, you're going to have escape charges, which is worse than a DUI. >> I'm not getting a DUI. I don't know what you're talking about. I walked in a straight line. how I ended all your >> listen to me >> except for count to 13,031. >> Listen to me. If you want to be treated like an adult, you have to act like an adult. Okay? >> I don't want to be treated like an adult. Treat me like a minor so I could get out of this easier. >> Based on what they found at the scene, officers had more than enough reason to arrest her for driving under the influence. Even after admitting she was 18, Paige tried to insist she should be treated like a minor. Whether it was real or just an act, playing innocent wasn't going to save her from the legal fallout. >> His vehicle >> either William Sprat or Yale Sprat. >> Who is he to you? >> My adopted grandparents. My legal guardian. >> Your legal guardian? I know you were on the phone with mom. Is that >> That's my one of my legal guardian. >> But now your biological mother? >> I don't talk to her. >> Okay. Do you know their number by heart any chance? >> I know my mom. All right, go ahead with it. >> 239. Can I talk to her or no? >> Give me one second. We're going to call him about the vehicle and then we'll go from there. All right. >> I can't talk to her. >> Give me a second. I will see if that's possible. >> All right. I got to read one more thing to you before we head to the jail. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. >> No, if you wish. If you decide to answer questions without a lawyer president present, >> you will still have the right to stop answering at any time. You also have the right to stop answering at any time until you speak to a lawyer. Do you have any questions about your rights? >> No. >> Do you understand? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Watch your legs. Let's get out of here. >> I don't want to go back in there. >> If you slip them again. >> No. No. No. No. Don't make it. >> I'm not going to let you blow the breath. >> Don't make it tighter. Don't make it hurt. >> Listen. You behave like that back there. They are going to spray you. >> I hate you. I hate Let me fix my skirt. I don't want shelters. Mom, fix it. >> Clear yourself. >> No. What is he doing? No. No. No. No. No. No. I don't want handcuffs. I don't want them little little zip ties. I don't want them zip ties. >> Just put it on the on the >> You're a liar. >> You're a liar. Cuz I [ __ ] is a liar. You're pretty. Come with me. Let's go. You're pretty. In the end, she was arrested and charged with DUI and underage possession of alcohol. Now, here's the real question. What kind of punishment would actually make this girl snap out of it? Drop your thoughts in the comments. So, what happens when cops go headto-head with one of the most frustrating suspects they've ever had to deal with. On December 24th, 2024, a patrol officer noticed a car following unusually close behind his cruiser. When he ran the plates, he found out the vehicle's registration had expired, and not just a little. We're talking about when the criminal level expired. So, he initiated a routine traffic stop. But the driver had other plans. She chose chaos. >> I would like to know what it is that you stopped me for before you even ran my tags. What have I done? So, I did a routine run on your tag after you followed me nose to nose in my mirror and your tag is like permanently expired. So, based off your unusual behavior, I did a routine check of your tag. >> You have to know that like you would have to run that. So, then therefore, >> okay, let me see your driver's license and registration. I'm not going to ask again. >> Okay. What I would like to know is what I did wrong. You are driving a vehicle with a crimally expired registration. Let me see your driver's license and expiration or registration. >> Okay. But I would like to know what I did before >> before you were even to run those tags. >> What I ma'am driver's license and registration. >> You would have to stop me for the lawful stop because you're driving a vehicle with a criminally expired registration. >> Before you even ran my tags. >> I don't have to have a reason to run your tag. Okay. You sure about that? >> 100% sure, ma'am. >> Okay. >> It's a routine run. >> Okay. Even though I didn't do anything wrong, right? >> Ma'am, you're driving a vehicle with a crimly expired registration. >> I'd like to know before you ran my tags. >> Driver's license and registration. >> I'd like to know before you >> The woman behind the wheel kept pressing the officer over and over about why she was being pulled over, even though he explained it clearly multiple times. She wasn't having it and she flat out refused to hand over her documents. >> You have no reason why to stop me beforehand. Right. >> Again, I have to No, no, no. I'd like you to No, no, no, no. I asked you a question, right? I'm I'm getting I'm getting my stuff together, but I'd like No, no, no. Multiple multiple opportunities to get and registration. I am asking you one last thing >> and I'm getting that together right now. >> Getting out of this vehicle. So, I'm getting myself together right now, but I'd like to know beforehand >> before you even ran my tags, there was nothing that I did wrong. I'm identifying myself right now. Now, what I would like to know is >> you're not identifying yourself. Driver's license, >> right? And I am so we're going to step out of this vehicle. So, driver and we can step out of this vehicle. Now, what I would like to know is Okay, >> let's step out of the vehicle. All right. >> Let's step out of the vehicle. >> Can I please have some space to step out of the vehicle? >> Okay. >> All right. >> Be my guest, ma'am. >> Thank you. May May I please have a May I please >> step out of the vehicle or I'm going to take you out of the vehicle? >> Ma'am, I am not I'm um >> We're going to step out of the vehicle. >> Okay. Please. Can I Can I Okay, cuz I have this right here in my Okay. Thank you. All right. May I please get my May I >> put your hands on your back? Okay. >> You're detained. We're not vehicle. >> Sure. >> Okay. >> I want to provide my identification. >> Okay. I asked you multiple times. >> Yeah. And I was trying to get that for you. >> You were not. >> I was digging in my wallet to identify myself. But okay. Sure. >> Whatever you need to do in order to I guess go about your day. You know life's going to be rough when someone thinks they know everything but actually knows nothing. That was this lady in a nutshell. Her stubbornness didn't get her out of trouble. It just got her in cuffs. >> You're refusing to I am not. But if that's what you want to take, I have my friend right there and I have them on the phone. And if that's what the take you want to take, I have my phone right there too. If that's the take you want to take, then by all means take it. >> That's fine. >> Yep. I try to provide identification. You want to take that take two. >> Listen, I try. No. Please don't. Please don't. Please don't. Please don't. No. I can stickly poke me on you. When I try to provide identification, you're going to take me to jail. Okay. Do you have anything on you that's going to >> No, but what I want to know is you're going to try to take me You're taking me to jail when I try to provide an identification. >> You did not. >> I did. I have it on video. >> Okay. >> And you know I did. I was digging in my wallet. Pablo, >> may I please provide identification when I try to give you identification? >> We try and let's kick our foot back. >> Ma'am, I tried to give you identification. Why are you doing this? >> I'm going to ask you again. Okay, I'm gonna ask you again, too. Why are you doing this? Is it for numbers? Because it's the end of the year of the the year. Is it that is that why? >> I don't have numbers. Can you take your shoe off, please? >> No, you're one of those. >> We're going to leave the car. >> Kick your foot back. >> Not sure where she learned these tricks, but wow, she was a headache and a half. She stalled for as long as she possibly could, ignoring the officer 16 times before they finally had to pull her out of the car. And then get this. She pulled a full 180 and said, "I was trying to give you my ID. >> She's on a pirate trip. How are none of you listening to this? When I try to give her my identification, it's on video. I have a video of it." >> Let's slip our shoes on like sandals. >> Either put your shoes on or we're going barefoot. Ma'am, I tried to give you my identification. Like, why are you doing this? >> I don't understand. Like, I have given you my identification. >> All right, we're going to go in the back of my car. >> You want to identification? >> Be real. Be >> Can he take my car? Can I love you? >> Do I really have to go to jail when I was trying to give you identification? >> Would you like your phone or anything to go with you to the jail? >> Please, but I don't want to go to jail. Like, I haven't done anything. >> We're not giving anything to him. So, again, would you like your wallet to go with you to the jail as well or just your phone? >> My wallet can go too. But what did I do wrong when I was trying to give So, what about my car? Where can I get my car from? >> It's going to get towed to Upman's Tilling. It's on 301 and 12 Street. You going to like >> Sir, >> I'm pretty sure that's a uh >> May I please speak to him before I go to jail? >> Yeah, >> sir. >> May I please speak to him before I go to jail? I haven't done anything wrong. >> I already answered that. >> But I haven't Why are you searching through my stuff? >> Cuz it's going with you to jail and anything that goes in my vehicle, I have kids. >> So I asked you No, no, no, no, no. So then therefore, can he have it? Because I I >> What? Can he have it? >> I really do not appreciate you going through my stuff. >> Okay. Well, I'm asking you if he can have it. I don't want you going through my stuff. >> Okay. So, again, I gave you the option. >> Even after being cuffed and placed in the back of the squad car, she still acted like she was running the show. You really have to wonder what does it take for someone to be this difficult. >> I do not want you going through my stuff. I did not give you right to go through my stuff. So therefore, can he have my stuff so you do not go through my stuff? >> Can I have a sergeant out here, please? >> I feel like a sergeant. >> Yes. May I have a sergeant out here, please? >> Sure. >> Mayor, whoever you need to get out here, but anyone? No. like you're still going through my stuff when I've asked you to please give it to him. You're going to >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I need you to either call mayor or sergeant. You're going through my stuff at this point. I do not want you to go through my stuff. I did not ask for that. >> Okay. So, >> your stuff is going to get checked one way or another. >> That's okay. But I did not ask you to go through my stuff. You did not ask to go through my stuff either. So therefore, may mayor or sergeant come through come here because you are going through my stuff now. I am not okay with that. I do not consent for you to go through my stuff. >> She wants for mayor. >> I did not consent for you to go through my stuff. >> I did not consent for you to go through my stuff. >> Okay, that's >> You are going through my stuff and now you are taking pictures when I have asked you to not go through my stuff >> of your ID that you prevail. You failed to provide. >> No, that is not my ID at all. Well, it's a medical marijuana. >> You are not. That is not my ID though. That is not my ID at all. >> So therefore, you have taken things from me and you have taken things like No. No. >> It's called search and >> No, I did not. I did not consent to that. >> I have to be under arrest. >> But I'm under arrest for obstruction. Like I did not do anything. And >> yeah, but they they they are she literally arrested me for something that I did not do. I'm not going to obstruct anything. >> I'm not a I did not obstruct any kind of information.
