This isn't about hot-tempered moms. >> E, she does not live here. You do not. She has no authority. >> This is not how I imagined. This is greedy. >> It's about women who believe they'll never face consequences. >> Stop resisting right now. >> No. Damn it. >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not going to resist. What an awful profession. You're not very fun. [laughter] >> Sorry. The story began when a mother made serious accusations against her ex-husband, not realizing the cameras had been quietly recording the entire time. And this time, the truth wasn't on her side. [screaming] >> Took my hat. No kidding. [laughter] >> On September 19th, 2025, in a Florida parking lot, deputies responded to serious allegations in the middle of a heated custody battle. The ex-wife claimed her former husband acted inappropriately during a FaceTime call, but once the footage was reviewed, the narrative began to shift. >> How are you doing today? >> What's going on? >> So, call. It's been an ongoing battle. I spare you because I'll tell you what happened today. >> Yes, ma'am. So today my my ex has been saying, you know, I've stopped calling him because literally every single time I do, he uses that an opportunity to under undermine my parenting and calling the cops every day, CPS every day, like the second case, and everyone's like, "We don't know what's going on." And so anyway, so this morning I call him, I see something. I You're >> okay. Take your time. I I see him like naked because the thing is I wanted to FaceTime. He wants to FaceTime my son and I guess he's used to us calling later because we I usually sleep late but I have whatever. So I got up a little bit earlier and so we called and so I guess I caught him off guard >> and then he has the phone and I'm like what's going on? I said where's the baby? Why is where's the diaper? And so he drops the phone and I just see his like name and then >> okay >> I lose I obviously hang up the phone and I call I pull myself I pull myself together and I call back. >> Okay. >> And then he's his sister's in the background who by the way he's in like a weird and sexual relationship with which that is why we're no longer together. So now that's why he's living there with her. >> Oh that's weird. And so I I should have known and honestly that's why I'm so because I could I did this but he kidnapped her from the pediatrician's office. I called the cops and couldn't do anything. >> I understand that. So I let it go. And then this morning when he gets back on the phone, she's videotaping. And I'm wearing a strapless bra. I'm holding my son and he's trying to say that I'm doing something inappropriate with my son because our power's out. So we were he was sleeping without a shirt. She tried to turn the responding officer into a tool in her personal conflict, steering the story in a direction that favored her. What she didn't realize was that the FaceTime recording was already in law enforcement's hands and it told a very different story. >> So, he throws a bottle of form thing of formula at me and then calls the police and says that I banged my daughter's head. >> Oh, we saw that report. We're not worried about that. We're just worried about what happened today. >> So, that's what happened today. >> So, was he laying in bed with her naked? Um, while you're all on FaceTime and stuff like that, did you see anything like to show he was naked or >> I saw his >> That's all I saw. And I I freaked I lost it. I started balling hard. I literally I >> called the cops. That's it. >> I tried to call him back like I said to try and get >> and then then he comes out. >> I said I'm trying to say maybe it was a misunderstanding. Then I see a sister in the background >> taping me on the phone and he's saying, "Why were you in the bed with your son without your shirt on? What were you doing with your son?" >> Was he unclothed at that point? >> No, he was dressed. He was fully dressed as if nothing happened. This is what I deal with because it's like smoking mirrors. >> And do you sir everything you told me is the truth and nothing but the truth. So help you God. >> Yes, sir. So help me God. >> Okay, perfect. All right. So, Miss Melissa, um I want to let you know we did go out there and check on the child. Okay. Is there anything that you want to go ahead and come clean about? Not sure. >> Okay. So, we went out there and we talked to him. The whole time the video, the conversation was on the whole time the FaceTime was recorded. >> This was before he >> No, hang on. I'm talking. Okay. It was recorded the whole time. And we saw from the whole time of him holding her daughter. You >> Please don't arrest me. Please don't come here. >> She lost control right in front of her child. Officers had to gently remind her more than once that her son was watching. not as a threat, but as an anchor, trying to keep the situation from sliding further off track. In that moment, emotion clearly overpowered responsibility. >> Please, please >> stop. Your son is in the car. >> Please don't do it. >> Stop. Enough is enough. >> Enough. Turn around and face the car now. >> Turn around and face. Turn around and face the car. Turn around and face the vehicle. I have had enough. >> Yes, ma'am. Go ahead and start char. >> Hey, buddy. You okay? >> Hi. What's up? >> She's fine. Okay. I have a question for you. >> How are you doing today? >> Okay. Just go ahead and face forward for me for a little bit. Okay. >> Enough. Sweet. >> Oh, lovely. Do you have a medical marijuana card? >> Go get a bag real quick so that doesn't fly away. Hey, can you uh go ahead and head this way to grab your stone, please? Okay. Uh, we're in the Walgreens parking lot on the far side, almost near like Paradise Boulevard on that side. >> Thank you. >> I had no choice. I had no choice. >> Everybody has a choice. >> I need a lawyer. Lawyer, please. Please. Can I have a lawyer? >> Go ahead and slide in there. >> Lawyer. >> That's fine. So, I'm just going to cover my bases real quick and we'll go from there. Okay. Before I ask you any question, you must understand your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. >> Are you okay? Can you unlock the car for me, please? >> It's okay. Listen, mommy's going to come with us, okay? But we got daddy on the way. Okay. It's okay. >> She's going to take a ride with us for today. Okay. >> Do you have anything with you? Did he go to jail? >> Yeah. >> Why? >> Cuz she made some bad decisions, buddy. >> What did she do? >> It's okay. I'm going to let daddy come and talk to you. Okay. Daddy's going to come get you in just a minute. Okay. Are you hurt or anything? >> Yeah. >> What's wrong? >> My heart is broken. >> I know. The best way. >> The boy was eventually released to his father and the tension eased slightly. She sat in her car talking non-stop, almost as if trying to vent the pressure. At one point, she admitted her own contradiction, teaching her child about honesty, yet failing to live by it herself. >> She was in the car, turned around as it was happening. Obviously, we had to do what we did, so that was going on. Okay. >> Uh, are you good taking him and everything? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have any questions for us? >> I have nothing but thanks. >> As disgusting as that might even sound, >> do we have any stitches or anything? I can I can get him on the right track now. >> Okay. >> Oh man, buddy. >> You want a sticker, buddy? >> Okay. >> Okay, we're gonna see if we have any stickers or anything for you. Okay, give me a high five. >> I know. I accept I see I accept the consequences of my actions for sure. I do. I know you're just doing your job. I get it. And honestly, I was just trying to do my job, but I went about it the wrong way. And I guess this is how I I just have to deal with the consequences. It is what it is. >> So, I always give everybody the fair chance to tell me the honest story. >> And that's my bad. I lied under oath and that I will I should not have done that. I was just telling my son about integrity and I I'm a hypocrite. >> I got you. >> So, I'm sorry. I've never been arrested before. It's kind of cool. I'm [clears throat] just kidding. >> This is a bad way to get arrested, girl. >> You know, I'd rather it be for this than something like like he's trying to accuse me of >> What do you mean? Yeah, but you know you just caught a felony, right? No, not going to prison. Obviously, you're innocent until proven guilty, but that's what you're being charged with a felony for making a false report to a law enforcement officer. >> What about the false reports that he makes? >> Phone's going >> Yeah, phone's coming with us, >> sir. What about the false reports that he makes? He just gets away with it. >> As of right now, he hasn't made any false reports, at least for my investigation. What about the Walmart incident where he's >> Okay, I just want you to know like from a personal person to person, I'm just a mother with her hands tied with just trying to get my baby back. And I he accused me of something and I said, "Okay, I'm going do it right back to you cuz that's what you do to me." >> That's the truth. >> And that's the truth. >> Now, do you have any more uh marijuas on you that's in your purse or anything? >> No, sir. Okay. >> You don't have much choice. I get it. >> Still out there. Are you hot right now? I can turn >> a little bit if you could. Yeah. >> I'm going keep the windows down, but I'll blast the AC back. >> Thank you. Appreciate that. Thank you. >> Even in handcuffs, she repeated that someone has to be arrested. The win-lose mindset hadn't faded. In the patrol car, she spoke about her life falling apart, but the consequences traced back to her own decisions. >> My heart's broken, so I don't think straight. >> Is it broken because we all separated or? Oh, this is the truth. That's a brave birthday best day. My heart broken cuz I had my baby daughter. He did the same thing with my son. >> You just, you know, got a fall. >> Left me homeless. I came back, got a job. I'm an accountant. Like, it's crazy. >> So, you just feel like your life was crumbling. >> I just like I said, I get fired >> for defending myself. [laughter] This is not how I imagined. This is crazy. [laughter] My son wants to be a police officer. >> Does he? He got a little sticker from us. >> So, he has a hat um a Yankees hat. So, I put Mario patches on it. But then he got a sticker the other day from like he because we've been in so much contact with the police. He has this collection. Now, this is his third one. On the bottom of his hat, he has like you know how they put like on the hats there's like those holographic stickers. So there was a gold star. >> So I put them underneath his brim. >> So >> but yeah, that is how much contact we have had with the police. He has a collection of stars. >> But you guys took my hat. No, I'm just kidding. [laughter] Sorry. All right. About to make lemonade, they tell me. Just like I got the cops called on me when I was dancing at Walmart while pumping my gas offended somebody and the cops were like, "Yeah." I was like, "Oh my god." God, I thought my ax I'm like Jesus Christ. And they're like, "Yeah, someone called the cops." I was like, they're like, and I'm telling them what's going on. They're like, "You're not under arrest. It's fine." You know, it's it's not all bad. So, apparently you can't even dance to Lady Gaga. You can actually get arrested. Oh, no. They said I said, "Are you going to arrest me?" They're like, "No, we're not here to arrest you." That's just what I assume because this man has been drilling into my head for years that I'm going to jail. Ultimately, she was charged with filing a false report of child abuse, child neglect, or abandonment, possession of marijuana under 20 grams, and resisting an officer without violence. After entering a no contest plea, the court sentenced her to 2 years of probation and ordered her to pay $786 in fines and court costs. An emergency protective order was also considered to shield the child from further instability. Once the footage went viral, the public had plenty to say. Let's take a look at how the online community reacted to this case. People who falsely accuse someone should always go to prison. It's an atrocity. This is what happens when you hate your ex more than you love your child. That guy's life would have been ruined if that wasn't recorded. What do you think about this woman? Drop your thoughts in the comments below. A false accusation may have just been exposed, but the real danger was already speeding toward consequences no one could ignore. Why are you putting her in this position? I >> actually don't know. You know, desperation, I guess. >> On July 6th, 2024, along I 95 in Florida, a Chevrolet Equinox was pulled over for a traffic violation. But inside, this wasn't just a routine stop. A mother on probation, a teenager behind the wheel, and children who weren't properly secured painted a far more serious picture. >> Hi So, why are you driving with no license? You know you can go to jail, right? Have you ever been stopped with it for this before? So, you know you can go to jail and you're still doing it, huh? Whose kids? Who Whose baby is this? Why is he in the front seat? He's too little. Should be a car seat, but he's not in it. So now she's going to get a ticket for that cuz she's the driver. So that's on you. And how you guys going to get home? Cuz you guys can't drive. Huh? What county is that? Huh? St. Lucy. So M, how old are you? Oh my days. >> And you and you told her and you told her to drive. >> Yeah, but you permitted an unauthorized uh user to to drive this car. >> So you committed two crimes now. >> 214. So, you've you've committed a crime by allowing her to drive and she's committed a crime by driving. So, both of you could go to jail right now. That's not good, right? Do you have an ID card? Like, you actually have an ID by the state. >> All right. Can I have the vehicle paperwork, please? >> Knowing she didn't have a valid license, she allowed a minor to take the legal risk in her place. At the same time, letting a small child ride up front showed that personal convenience had quietly taken priority over basic safety standards. Leave that in there for now. >> It's in April. So like 12 months. >> Is that a violation to get arrested for for So you get arrest any you can't commit any criminal crime. You can't commit any crime on probation >> or they violated and they take you all the way in. >> You know that >> not good girl. Not good. >> Where were you going? Where are you coming from? Like where you going? >> From you're detained right now. So we're going to read your rights. All right. Just so you're aware of that. You have the right to remain silent and anything you say moves evidence against you. You have the right to talk to attorney have him or her with you now. So, where where did you guys go? >> Jacksonville >> for >> to go see my aunt. Did >> you see your aunt? >> Yeah. >> How long are we up there for? >> For like this morning. >> Just this morning. You driving back already? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Because she just had came from another country. >> Where at? Where she come from? >> Honduras. >> Okay. But is her first time America ever or she's just visiting? >> No, first time. >> Okay. So, why is she driving? Cuz like I said, she was helping me, you know, cuz like the babies were like in the back crying and like I needed to go tend them, you know. >> Yeah. But she's 16. Did you drive there first or or she drive there and back both times? >> She No, she was helping me the whole time. >> So she drove both there and she driving back. Okay. And she's 16. She never been arrested before. >> No. >> Okay. Has she ever been pulled over for driving without a license? >> Okay. And you're how old? >> 21. >> And you're a sister? >> Yeah. So, you're responsible for her essentially and you know a little bit more than her. >> So, why are you putting her in her this Why are you putting her in this position? >> I actually don't know. You know, desperation, I guess. >> The woman was serving a 12-month probation term for DUI and had previously been accused of letting an unlicensed driver use her vehicle. This time she leaned into the image of a busy mom just taking care of her kids to justify what looked like a familiar pattern of unlawful choices. >> No. >> Okay. So, when did your mom come back? >> She's probably coming back this week. I don't know. Maybe >> you could you couldn't wait till then to go see your aunt that just came under us. >> Sorry. >> You don't apologize to me. This is on you. And now you're putting your sister in a position where she can go to jail. Yeah. >> I don't think she's going to go to jail. But I don't Does she even know that it's rustful? >> She doesn't really know anything. She's just young. >> Exactly. She didn't know better. Now you put her in this lock. >> You know what I mean? I'm trying to beat you up over it, but I'm not right. Not right at all. >> I understand. Like, can I talk to my mom? >> They What's your information officer's phone number? >> Yes. So, did they not tell you that if you break the rules, you violate your probation? >> They did tell me, but I didn't know, you know, over there in 4 years. I know like once I did it and then they just gave me a ticket, but it didn't violate my police. >> Does your bridge officer know you left the county? >> No, she doesn't know. cuz he just told me I can go back and forth, but if I will be able to stay out of the like out of this >> back and forth where? >> Like I can drive back. I don't know how to stay out of the county. >> Okay. >> Um ask something. >> So you don't know you don't anyone in your life that has a license? So who's going to come and get the kids? >> I don't I don't know exactly. >> Have you guys talked to anyone that can come get you guys yet? I've talked to somebody, but they don't have a license, you know. >> All right. Can you >> Are they here though? At least password. So, you can call your probation officer. >> I don't have her phone number, but I do have the card where I can call her. >> Where's the card at? >> In my car. >> Where? >> Um, in the front seat. You can search it up on Google like the >> You're very just talking to you for 10 minutes, I can tell you're very very irresponsible. You don't have your probation officer saving your phone to at least explain situations like this. You're allowing your young sister to she go to jail. You know that, right? You know whose fault would that be? >> All right. All right, brother. We'll work tomorrow. >> She couldn't even recall her probation officer's phone number. It may sound minor, but it speaks volumes. If the basics aren't handled, the bigger conditions rarely are. Responsibility doesn't run on autopilot. It requires intention. the VOP case number to the notes. >> Are you primary or 212? >> I'm primary. >> You have a wallet? >> Yes. >> Where is it? >> 22. >> Where in the car? >> Um the probation card. It's in It's in my purse. Oh. >> Yeah. All right. >> Phone number's there. >> Okay. Okay. So, you're 16, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What grade are you in? Uh, >> 11th. >> 11th. Okay. Have you ever been pulled over before? Have you ever Do you drive often? Like, how often do you drive? >> Um, I only drive, you know, something like around the city. It's like my city. >> Yeah. Do you have a permit at least? >> Um, I'm getting my permit. I already did the jerk. I just >> Where is she? Fort Pierce. that happens to be in Florida. >> Oh, your sister's going to jail. Did he tell you? >> Oh. Oh, I didn't I Yeah, she's going to jail for uh volunteer probation and letting you drive. That's wrong of her. Where you guys coming from now? >> Where were you guys doing up there? >> To drop someone off. Who? My uncle. >> Your uncle? >> Okay. Where did you guys pick him up from? Like he was staying with you guys or >> No, he he >> Okay. So, you just were dropping him off. Okay. And then you just drove right back. >> At first, the 16-year-old claimed he didn't know driving without a license was illegal. Later, he admitted he regularly drove her around town. Once the story shifted, the family errand narrative started to fall apart. >> And you four that in the car was almost with you when you went up there. >> Yeah. >> Leave who? >> Who was the >> Okay. But so you're Were you bringing someone there cuz they're moving or you visiting your Okay. >> So, but who was that person of you that you brought up there? >> Huh? Family member >> like your mom, brother, sister, aunt, uncle. Like that's what I mean by who was that person to you. >> It's like a It's like a third like a third friend from the family like like >> like a cousin. >> No, no. Like like a friend family friend, you know. Okay. >> And are they like was she your age or what? Like how old was she? >> Okay. Why is she saying it was a guy? So there's just no reason why your guys stories aren't adding up cuz it seems like these are little very little things that for no reason appear untruthful. So I asked you where you're going and you said to visit an aunt that just came from Honduras. I ask her and she makes no mention of any aons coming from Honduras. No. Says that you guys were going up there as simply to drop someone off and are going right down back down. She tells me it's an uncle. You're telling me it's a third friend, family, female. Like that's vastly different. And it's I I'm very inclined to believe that your 16-year-old sister has absolutely no reason to drive. If you guys are even sisters, cuz I don't even know at this point >> and she would have zero reason to lie. So, I don't know why your swords that wouldn't match hers. That's That's why I'm getting confused a little bit. >> Uh, if you don't show up for car, there's going to be a warrant for your arrest. You want to sign it? >> Yeah. >> Sign on that X. >> Officers discovered the child's safety seat in the back wasn't secured to any anchor point. It was simply resting on the seat. The mother was ultimately transported to jail and charged with child neglect, allowing an underage person to drive, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violating probation. If convicted on all counts, she could face a combined potential sentence of up to 15 years, though she was later released on an $8,000 bond. So, when Speed Cloud's judgment, the lesson ahead is no longer a gentle warning. It's a hard stop reality can't ignore. Don't step out of the car. Just listen. >> On April 5th, 2024, at a busy intersection in Florida, an offduty lieutenant stepped in after spotting a vehicle weaving dangerously through traffic. An emergency stop was initiated, but what followed went far beyond a simple driving violation. >> Are you kidding me? Why is it always you? It's >> always me. I'm trying to go home. Fine. >> I thought you found your phone. >> Yeah. >> Hey, hun. Can you roll down your window just a little bit further for me, please? >> I'll let you. I'll take your keys. >> Oh, okay. >> Hi. It's me, my car. I'm just checking on you. I can't hear from that side. Why you in my car? >> Because I need to check on you, hun. You okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> They're they need to ask them questions. >> They can't ask me a question about my car. >> I'm not in your car. I'm standing right here in the roadway. Just >> All right. Go ahead. >> Do you have any medical things right now? >> No. >> Are you feeling okay? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> How much have you had to drink tonight? You what? >> You got to go. >> We're not going to go right now. I'm going to have you step out here. Okay. Go ahead and step out here for me. >> No. >> I'm not asking you step out of the car. I >> can't pee. >> Huh? Pee. >> You got to pee. All right. Well, step out. I'm going to do a DUI investigation. So, you're going to get out of the car. Okay. It's already in D park. Damn me. Damn me. Huh? >> I'm watching it. >> Okay, go ahead and step out here for me. >> She tried to keep her distance as if controlling space meant controlling the situation. But once she stepped out of the vehicle, clear signs of impairment surfaced. At that point, the story was no longer about words. It was about observable facts. >> I don't want Don't >> step out of the car. >> Come on. >> Just listen to him. >> Come on. >> Don't be difficult. No, don't touch me. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I said I [ __ ] up, >> huh? You're [ __ ] up. >> No, I didn't say that. I said don't touch me. >> Okay. So, I'm going to ask you to do field soriety exercises. Are you willing to do those? >> Yeah. >> All right. Well, let's go ahead and walk back here a little bit. >> Okay. What do you want me to do? >> I want you to walk back here in front of my car. >> That car? >> Yep. That car? That police car right there. Can you walk it back there in front of that one? Do >> you think about that? Can I look at your eyes real quick? >> Yeah, but it's like that thing is like when you walk high thing. It's like >> I have no idea. >> That thing we just up high and do >> I don't know. Well, think about it for a minute. Do me a favor. Can you put your glasses on your head for me? >> No. >> Why not? What? >> Huh? I just want I want to look at your eyes real quick. Can you step over maybe and see if you can block her? >> He's just trying to block the sun for you. There you go. Can you see this red? >> I'm Lieutenant Bloom. I'm the one that stopped out with you right away. >> Is that the uh it thing? >> I don't know where you at. >> Can you see this red light here? >> Listen to Deputy Young. Follow this with your Follow this with your eyes and your eyes only. Okay? >> Keep your head still. Just with your eyes. Okay? >> Are you going to follow up on me? She appeared cooperative during the eye movement test, yet struggled to follow the rhythm of instructions. Even with an officer shielding her from the sun, her natural reflexes and unsteady speech revealed obvious impairment. >> So, you're not going to do the exercises? >> What exercise? >> All right, let's go ahead and walk back here. I thought I'm doing a DUI investigation. How much have you had to drink tonight? >> About two drinks. >> Just two drinks. Yeah, but >> All right. She's going to pull forward and I'm going to have you have a seat on her car. >> I don't want to sit on her car. >> All right. Well, then I need you to come stand back here. >> I don't want to sit back there. >> It's not an option. >> Why? >> Cuz I'm doing a DUI investigation and I want you to do fields. So, if you don't want to do fields, I can make a decision based on the evidence I've already witnessed to this point. Come here. >> Okay. So, come sit right there. Be careful. You got it. All right. >> It's sweet. Sweet. >> I just tired and I want to go home. >> So, what all that says is if you refuse to do the breath test, your driver's license is going to be suspended for one year. So, are you willing to do the breath test? >> Huh? >> That's good. >> I just need yes or no. Are you willing to do it? Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. Deputy Handley's going to sit here and watch you for a minute. I'm going to go talk to these people and get them out of here. >> All right. Y'all are family. >> Yeah. My sister who went up [ __ ] >> Okay. She's going to jail for DUI. >> Figure it out. >> She is lucky she didn't kill someone cuz she is [ __ ] destroyed. I mean, >> what's the >> She can't even walk, man. Where she at? >> What's the level? >> I I don't know. She I just asked her to do a breath test. She says she's willing to. We'll do it here in a few minutes. You don't know yet? No, not yet. Okay. >> Hello. What? She's going to jail. >> She's going She's going to jail for DUI. >> Lucky she didn't hurt nobody. >> Yeah. >> Or herself cuz she's got two young kids. She's got four kids. >> So then the the gentleman in the Jeep up there, he's Lieutenant Bloom. He's like our public information lieutenant. He uh he's been behind her um says about Pine Road and he said she's been back and forth. Everyone's having to stop because she's going back and forth. They came up here and she was in the right turn lane and they cut all the way over, cut everyone off to get in the left turn. No, thankfully not. >> So, she got over here, he stopped. He's in his personal vehicle. He stopped. He's like, "Hey, are you okay? What's going on?" And she's like, "Are you diabetic or something?" And she said she was sick. So, they called medics out to check her, but she she gave medics a hard time and refused everything >> cuz she she's not allowed to drink. >> What? She had >> And there's a reason why she's not allowed to drink is because she gets like that. >> She She probably had one drink and that's how she gets. >> She She says she's had two is what she told me. >> Yeah. Well, she doesn't drink that often and it it hits her >> like Is she on any medications? >> She has some >> She said she's been trying to say stuff, but I can't I don't think she had >> done. I don't know about her shoulder. She's had a lot of things done. She's not being honest with me >> cuz if she's on medications with alcohol like pain pills, certain CNS depressants, >> I know she does have pressure, but I don't think >> she don't take anymore. Okay. I was about to say some medications if you drink take a medication and drink one one drink it's like 10xes the the >> effect it del she's so bad like I said she she can't walk she can't talk she can't >> she years ago I she was on the floor passed out and she was almost dead if it wasn't for me she would have been dead >> to the hospital >> she passed out no one knew she >> and that's when they said that she can't have no more or she's >> she's almost she like is there something in her body that like just rejects it >> I think it was after that stroke she had when she was in her 30s. After that, she >> They really didn't say what it was, but it had to be something that Yeah, >> they just said definitely. >> She can have one drink and she's like she's intoxicated. It don't have to be strong either. >> Are we allowed to say anything to her? >> I'll let you talk to her if you want. Um Um If you want to come talk to her, I'll let you talk to her real quick and I'll let you know. >> Her reckless lane changes forced multiple vehicles to break abruptly. An absolute close call. Thankfully, no one was hurt. And just as fortunate, an offduty lieutenant happened to be there before the situation turned tragic. >> I got a friend here. Well, hello, Mom. Do >> you know? >> Why? >> What? >> Why are you doing this? >> Are you Are you done with your life? >> No. >> You got your grandbaby. You got everything to live for, Mom. I do. >> Then why are you drinking? >> Not anymore. Mom, you know you could have killed somebody or yourself. This is serious. Mom, we need help. >> This is This is This is I will wake you, Mom. You're going to get help. I'm not ready to lose you, bro. >> You understand? I'm not ready to lose you. >> You got an accident. You have so many people that care about you, Mom. This is >> so disappointing. >> Why did you leave when you came over there? You beat me for dinner and you just >> She got pissed. That's what happened. Something pissed her off and she left. When she gets like this, she doesn't want to talk to nobody. >> I don't even know you. You were told me you could have changed your mind. You didn't want to go. >> She's not going to go. >> I knew you were drinking. I don't even want to invite you over. >> Are they going to give her water or something at least? >> Oh, yeah. There's there's water give her she'll see a nurse as soon as she goes there. I'm going to be honest. I have a feeling they're going to make me take her to a hospital. I'm going to be 100% honest. So, >> just >> Oh, yeah. She works at um >> That's why we use Advent cuz it charges us four times a morning. >> You want to jump in and do one real quick? >> I'll do it. >> Um you All right. So, I know you just told them no, but are you going to do the breath test? >> No. >> Huh? >> No. >> No. All right. Well, we're going to have a walk. We're going to have a seat back in the backseat of my car. Okay. >> Oh, >> no. You're going to jail. >> All right. So, I'm going to help you up. >> No, I'm not. >> I'm not asking. You can All right. Go ahead and have a seat in there. >> Don't touch it. Well, I didn't have a seat in there, >> idiot. >> Yeah, I appreciate it. All right, watch your knee. All right, I don't want to hit your knee. >> Why you [ __ ] taking so long? >> What? What would you like us hurry up for? What? >> Uh, no. Why is it taking so long? >> I'm We're about to leave and go to jail right now. >> Family members arrived at the scene and notably did not confront officers. Deputies allowed them to approach and it was her own family who bluntly called out the poor decision-making. She was later transported to jail and charged with driving under the influence. After entering a guilty plea, she received 12 months of probation, a 1-year driver's license suspension, and 50 hours of community service. The real cost wasn't just fines or penalties. It was the moment a mother realized she nearly jeopardized her family's future over just two drinks. Arrogance behind the wheel came to a stop and a difficult family conversation began. On August 5th, 2025 in Florida, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call involving an allegedly intoxicated male pilot. But upon arrival, it became clear the issue wasn't just conflict. It was a family dynamic built on protection, denial, and an outsized sense of entitlement >> where like he's gotten like kind of aggressive and like his hands on me. And um so last night, like after that fight, he was like, "All right, I'm going to I'm going to be better, you know, I'm not going to, you know, drink anymore." And then I went to work yesterday and I got home and he was wasted. I was like, "What is going on? Like what what are we doing here?" And then we got into another fight and I somehow got like he was like preventing me from leaving the house. He took my phone. I had to come back here with my sister to go get it. And even then she had to go into the house cuz she's like, "All right, I'm going to wait inside the car." Like like if you need me, like I'll go inside. Anyways, we finally got the phone. I stepped in my sister's house. I'm like, "Okay, I need like I have work tomorrow. Like I need to at least be able to get my clothes." So, I went in here and of course he's still drunk. He blew up all of my family's phones and I was like, "Okay, this is what's going to happen. This is our new plan. Like, we're not >> You can't You stayed at your sisters last night, right?" >> Yeah. >> You came back today. >> You get closed. >> You get closed and you let him know that you guys are no longer getting married, etc., etc. >> He prevented you from leaving. He shoved you and then he went to go get a gun and and threatened to kill himself. Is that correct? said that he was going to that he was going to kill himself if I left. >> Did he hold the gun in his hand? >> No, he just it's in this like this bag. >> This like carrying bag. >> Okay. >> Cuz he just completed like FFTDO training. He's actually like an airline pilot. >> Okay. >> And Yeah. >> Okay. Um >> I don't want to get him in trouble. >> No, you're good. Listen. Um >> I just want to get my stuff. >> And when Describe the shoving. When did that happen? >> The actual shoving happened like a couple days ago. Well, today he put his hands on you today, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Describe that to me. >> So, he he kind of he didn't like shove me to the ground like the other day he shoved me so hard I fell to the ground. >> Did he put his hands on you? >> Somewhat. >> I wouldn't say that he shoved me to the ground. >> He didn't put his hands on you. Did >> he somewhat did? >> The reporting party stated that Jacob was not only a pilot, but also a federal flight deck officer. When officers approached him, he was seated on the couch, appearing superficially cooperative despite clear signs of intoxication. A posture that often shifts once control starts slipping away. >> Right now, what's going on? You just I don't know, conversations. I don't know. >> How uh how intoxicated are you right now? I can smell it. You you enough to where you can have a good conversation with me? Um, I don't know. >> You know where you're at right now? >> So, why are you guys here? >> Well, we're here to investigate a domestic. Okay. That's your girl, right? Be fiancé. Okay. She called. We're here. Okay. Obviously, something happened between you guys. >> Arguments. Yeah. Typical stuff. >> What about putting hands on each other? Anything like that? >> No. >> Okay. No one blocked the door to each other. She wanted to leave. No one blocked the door. >> Not that I'm aware of. >> Um almost a year. Almost a year. Do you do you want to give me a sworn statement to everything that happened today? Basically, a sworn statement is um everything that you're telling me, we're going to say it on the record for my body cam >> and basically is I'll explain whatever whatever you want. Whatever you need the influence of any drugs or alcohol. No. You're not under the influence of me alone. >> It's okay. It's okay that you're because I have a follow I have a follow-up question to it. You're not in trouble. You're allowed to drink in your own home. >> Am I being detained or >> Yeah. Oh, 100% you're being detained. Yeah. 100%. >> Am I under arrest? >> You're being detained? I'm ask you questions. >> I'm going to read you >> last night. Yeah. >> Okay. Sure. >> All right. Do you feel like your intoxication is at a level to where you can get you cannot give me a sworn statement like an accurate account of the events? >> I can. Okay. Perfect. >> All right. Do you know the meaning of perjury? >> Yeah. All right. Took a while. I'm just going to explain it just to make sure. Perjury can be committed by telling lies or admitting information while under oath. Perjury is a crime in the state of Florida. What that basically means is lying to a law enforcement officer while under oath. Uh do you understand? >> Requesting a sworn statement on scene was a procedural step meant to lock in testimony. Almost immediately, Jacob redirected blame, describing his girlfriend's family as rude. The narrative slowly repositioned him as the victim of circumstance rather than the source of escalation. >> Can you please raise your right hand? Do you swear or affirm the statement that you're about to give me is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? >> Absolutely. >> Okay. Yes, sir. >> So, we're in reference to a domestic that occurred between you and your fiance. Is that correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Describe our my fiance. Yes. >> Yes. >> That's all right. So, what happened? Why am I here? What happened? You said typical argument. describe the argument for me. >> So, we had an argument last night, too. I don't know if she explained that. >> Yep, she did. >> We've had arguments before. >> Yeah, I'm here for this one specifically right now. What happened with this one? >> She She blocked my number. >> Okay. She blocked my phone. Um she was she was so rude today. My my sister is getting married on on Friday. I'm supposed to be there on Thursday. >> Did she put her hands on you? >> Yeah, of course. She always does. >> She put her hands on you >> today. >> Nothing that I would say was >> Listen, I Listen, dude. I >> You can just be straight with me, bro. Instead of just >> I know I respect what you guys do. I Dude, I'm I'm an FFO. Like, I know what this stuff is. Then you you you recognize why I'm here. I'm here cuz I have a job later. Like you guys got in an argument. She wanted to leave. What happened? >> Why was she coming in all angry and yelling at you and being disrespectful? >> This goes back to yesterday. >> This has something to do with your drinking being out of control. >> No. >> No. That's not what she's telling us is why she's angry is because you can't get your drinking under control. >> You're drunk now. >> I think I think that's a personal issue. >> I agree it is. >> That's something I have to work through. But once it becomes now our issue because either you guys can't control yourselves by putting hands on each other or blocking people from leaving stuff like that, that becomes our problem. >> At 31 years old, sensing the possibility of arrest, Jacob asked to call his mother. It was a striking contrast. Professional credentials on paper, but a deeply personal reflex under pressure. In that moment, authority no longer felt like something he controlled. >> Can I call my mom, please? >> For what? How old are you? >> 31. Okay. You don't need mommy. >> You don't need mommy if you're 31. >> All right. >> She had mentioned you also have a firearm in the home >> that did you threaten to use it on yourself because she >> It's locked. >> Okay. >> You can see it. >> I'm just I'm sad. She's telling us that because she had told >> Can you Can you come to the house, please? Saying that I threatened to kill her and stuff. I my gun is locked up. >> Okay. So, what's going to happen is um so we're we're placing under arrest. Okay. for because we found him to be the primary aggressor in here. And I know um in the state of in the state of Florida, I know you don't want him to go to jail or anything, but in the state of Florida, anytime there's a domestic violence, no matter how little or anything like that, the state of Florida takes over. And we're the ones that decide, you know, who to prosecute on in domestic violence related issues. Uh because with domestic violence is always a first time and then it always gets worse, progressively worse. And so that's why in the state of Florida, we have we have to do something. We can't. >> What did he say? >> Well, he said absolutely nothing happened. He says, "No, we had argument, but absolutely nothing happened." But clearly, he's obviously intoxicated now. Um, but so he's being arrested. >> His mother arrived shortly after. Instead of clarifying facts, she immediately took a defensive confrontational stance. The presence of law enforcement did little to alter her approach, reinforcing a pattern of protection over accountability. Will >> she does not live here. >> She lives here. >> She does live here. >> She does not live here. She's a girlfriend. Okay. >> She lives here. >> You can resides authority to go over here. >> Yes, I do. She does not live here. You do not. She has no authority. My son >> Your son is an adult. My son told me to come over here because you >> do you have stuff in there that you have to >> I have everything in there. >> What are your grounds? >> You're you're going to listen to exactly what I'm telling her. Okay. If she changes the locks, seeing how you reside here, you are allowed to break the windows or whatever you got to do to get inside. Okay. >> You guys, I'm getting a lawyer. Okay. >> That's fine. I'm getting a lawyer. >> Do you have to get your stuff? >> I have my stuff. Like everything. No, you touched on it. >> You're under. Stop. >> Stop it. >> Stop resisting right now. >> No. >> Damn it. >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not going to resist. >> You are. You're doing it right now. Give me your hand. >> Stop. Okay. Stop it. >> I I need my purse and my wallet. >> Stand up. >> Okay. Just >> Can you I need my purse. >> No, you ain't getting nothing. Thanks. You're welcome. >> Call my husband. >> You did this. You know what? No. Stop. Just can we talk for a minute? I did not stop. >> Put your hands on me. When I tell you to stop. >> All I did was to push away. I'm sorry. You can't do that. >> But you scared me. >> I scared you. >> I didn't mean to. I >> Now you're causing my problems because your son called. I told him not to. It's like he's 31 years old. He doesn't need mommy. >> Can you just take one hand? I'm not going to hurt you. >> Please. >> You're under arrest and you're going to jail. >> Okay. You're going to jail for a felony for you cannot I can put my hands on you. You cannot put your hands on me. >> I didn't mean to. I reacted because I was afraid. Okay. I did not I didn't mean to do that. I I am so I'm I reacted because that those kind of situations if someone touches me I >> already battered one of us. >> I didn't batter you. Stop it. >> Not me. >> Or your >> my supervisor. You did. >> Stop it. All I did was push him away because he grabbed me. I didn't. You guys, come on. Come on. Really? >> You can't You can't turn around. >> And you He could have just said that. He could have said to me, >> "He told you not to go in there. He told you not to go over there and you still went to touch. I All I wanted to do was get my purse and the cat. >> Just let me get the purse and the cat." >> Being a registered nurse, that's that's pretty uh >> You know what? >> It's pretty profound. >> Um I'm not going to take good care of them anywhere. >> The confrontation ended with serious legal consequences for both. Jacob was arrested on domestic battery charges. His 58-year-old mother faced even heavier allegations, including battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting without violence, and trespassing. The broader takeaway: When boundaries are never enforced at home, adulthood can stretch into a 31-year-old who still doesn't recognize the limits of the law. It's a story about responsibility, but through the officer's lens, it revealed something deeper than a single night's mistake. On January 9th, 2023 in Marian County, Florida, deputies responded to a domestic dispute involving a couple and concerns about their young child's safety. But as officers sorted through the details, the line between victim and aggressor didn't depend on who dialed 911 first. >> So, what happened? >> Uh, so we this is pretty much an argument. She threw something close to the baby's head. I yelled at her about it because I thought it would harm the baby. >> Uh, glass broke. She pulled up some glass to try to come towards me with it and said, "I will stab you with this." I pushed her away. She fell over. When she fell over, she called the police and said, "I physically attacked her." >> Okay, >> that's exactly what happened. >> So, she threw something. You guys are yelling besides her coming at you with a piece of glass. Did she touch you at all? Other >> Yeah. Yeah. She punched me in my head. I I didn't punch her. I didn't hit her. I didn't do anything but push her away from me and she fell over. >> All right. So, you guys were arguing about her something close to the baby. >> Yes. When did you get when did she hit you and stuff? >> Once the argument we were arguing about what happened and she uh came over and just just did it. It was no no warning, no anything. She punched me in the side of my head and when she did that I stood up in in a form like just to protect myself. She picked up a piece of glass and said I will stab you. You want to go talk to her? >> She pushed me. Excuse me. I pushed her over. She fell. When she fell, she picked up her phone. She caught it. >> All right. Were you caught or anything? >> Yeah, a couple times. >> Is that something where you need medics here or anything? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Let me see your elbow there. >> Oh, little scrape or whatever. >> Okay. >> So, uh, explain to me. I know you kind of talked to Deputy Young on the phone. >> Yes. Can I get my piece in the room, please? >> Yeah. So, I know you were kind of talking to Deputy Young on the phone earlier when we were trying to figure out where you were. >> Uhhuh. >> Um to kind of explain to me exactly what happened again. >> We were in a verbal altercation. >> Okay. >> And um he just kept yelling. I told him to keep it down cuz my daughter is in the next room was right there. And then I threw something against the wall and he started screaming and getting even louder with me and I pushed him away and then he pushed me down and it broke some glass and I held the glass until get away from me or I will stab him and he came up in my face again and that's where I got the cuts on my hand holding the glass and then he pushed me down and that's what I'm trying. >> She appeared to believe that calling law enforcement first would secure her position as the victim. Yet, she later admitted pushing him out of anger. The law, however, doesn't recognize I was upset as legal justification for physical force. >> So, when he was yelling and then you said you pushed him? >> Yes. >> Why did you push him? Was he like close to you or? >> No, it's just not our first time. And took my frustrations out. >> Okay. Um, so you're just frustrated that he was yelling and then pushed him and then that's when it escalated and he pushed you back and and uh when he pushed you back you said you fell and something got broke. >> No, he pushed he slammed you against the wall. I'm happy to show you guys. This was no ordinary push. >> All right. So he put he slammed you against the wall and then that's when you grabbed something got broke and you grabbed a piece of glass. You saying she hit you in the head? How did she hit you? She punched me in the side of my face while I was holding the baby and I put him down. So, we were in the room. We were arguing. We had an argument. There was no warning. She punched me in the side of my face. I put the baby down and I took a defensive gesture. She picked up a piece of glass and said, "I will cut you." And I pushed her away from me. She fell down. As soon as she fell down, she said, "Ooh, you're going to jail." And she called the police. That that's that's exactly what happened. Where did you get >> right inside my face? It was I I don't know if there's anything there. >> I didn't have my glasses on at the time. >> No problem. No problem. >> Questions for our domestic violence unit. >> No problem. >> So, um, has she ever threatened to kill you or your children? >> No, she's never threatened to kill me or my children. >> Has she ever used a weapon against you or threatened to use a weapon against you? >> Yes, she has. >> When was that? >> Um, last year [clears throat] sometimes she pulled out kitchen knives against me. Was that reported at all? >> Um, I don't believe so. We were able to work that out independently. >> Do you think she's capable of killing you? >> I don't think. >> The man maintained a consistent account. Meanwhile, she began to forget key details about how she fell, though she clearly remembered feeling frustrated. That pattern suggests memory prioritizing emotion over sequence, a common dynamic in high conflict situations. Sorry, my key fob was turning around backwards and I couldn't um can you clarify like when you pushed him like how where did you push him at? Where >> was all that at? Like was it >> in the like was he sitting down or something or like you pushed him in the head or >> he was in the bed and I pushed him? >> Okay. Where where at did your hand go when you pushed him? >> Right here >> on the side of his head. Yeah. >> Okay. And then when he was on the bed and you pushed him, that's when he got up. >> Yes. >> And then pushed you. >> Yes. >> Or is that when she said that >> he was sitting on the bed and she went up to push him upside that would clarify with his punching type deal. So she can't she can't remember how allegedly. >> I can't tell 66 and 62. >> She can't remember or clarify how >> I'm going to jail. Will you keep me up? >> What's that? >> I'm going to jail. Will you please keep me up? >> That's fine, Mommy. Um, they're taking to jail. [snorts] Um, I have the kids. >> Excuse me, officer. Could you explain to me what's happening? >> Okay. So, as I explain to her after talking to you both. >> Mhm. >> She's admitted that she came up and put her hands on you first out of frustration. >> Mhm. >> Which makes her the primary aggressor. >> Uh-huh. >> And because of that, I'm required to make an arrest cuz it's domestic violence related. >> Mhm. >> So, she is going to jail for domestic battery on you. >> Okay. Okay. >> Is there any way that I can not press charges? >> You can't. You have to get [clears throat] with the state later on. Nothing you can say will change her going to jail tonight because it's domestic violence related. I'm required by law to make an arrest. >> No problem. Would you like me to call her grandmother to come and get her? >> No. >> No problem. I I'll take care of the case. No problem. >> In domestic violence cases, the focus isn't on who was more hurt or who made the first call. Investigators look at who initiated physical contact. Once she struck him while he posed no immediate threat, self-defense no longer applied. >> Whoever's going or wherever he is, I need to explain. I got to get his milk out the freezer. I need cuz I'm not He's still nursing. >> I only have a half of a bottle. >> He's He's just getting some information from him and stuff. Stevens. >> Yes. >> Either two things. >> Um with phone numbers or anything like that. Once you get to the jail, they'll let you get phone numbers out of it. >> Okay. >> Or if you wanted to write them down now, you can as well. >> It's a del woman I work with. She said if I get booked by 12, I can have something happen faster. So, can we get there? >> Well, with domestics, you have to see the judge in the morning. >> I have to wait till the morning. So, usually it's 8:30ish, 9:00. >> Okay. >> Is what that is. When it when it comes to domestic violence that you have to see the judge. Yes, ma'am. >> 353 coming from the building. NTFR has been audited. >> All right. You have any questions about any of that? >> No, sir. >> All right. So, like I said, she'll she'll go up. She'll get booked into jail. Um she was sit tonight. She'll have to see a judge first thing in the morning. >> Breast milk sat in the refrigerator, but the conflict had already spilled far beyond the kitchen. Responsibility and ego collided at the same moment. When the man later asked how to prevent her from being prosecuted, the cycle of emotional entanglement became clear. >> Take your phone. >> Okay. >> All right. I'm not going to cuff you. See, I ain't giving you me no problems. >> Thank you. >> She's not very comfortable, but >> Okay. >> Just get as comfortable as you can. >> Okay. >> Appreciate it, sir. We'll see you tomorrow. >> What made you It's fair. I just >> I understand. >> And work, but that's a big deal. >> [laughter] >> No, I understand. You know, maybe it would have been a little different if you said you pushed them because you were in fear, but when you went to them and pushed >> Yeah. No, I this is what I did. It's what I did. >> It's uh >> Okay. >> Unfortunately, like I said, with domestic violence, it's very serious in Florida. So, >> okay. >> Um, like I said, if they even I can tell you mo most of the time that I make an arrest on domestic violence, no one wants to pursue charges. >> Okay. Okay. >> They tell me that, but unfortunately I can't. It doesn't matter at the time of the incident. >> Okay. >> So, it's >> I understand. >> Unfortunately, >> I understand. >> I don't agree with it, but that's the way it works. >> Yeah. That's what my mom and my parents are actually [snorts] going back and forth. My My dad was saying they can't arrest. My mom was saying not unless he press charges. >> So, we didn't. >> And you usually for most crimes That's right. You know, for most crimes, if he says he doesn't want to pursue charges, then we can just >> Okay. >> Go on about our way. But with domestic violence, they because especially when you guys are still here, you guys are still together. Um, we don't want it to escalate to >> someone together. [laughter] >> Well, I mean, you know, I mean, if I was to just leave you here for the night. >> Yeah. No, I understood if you know the crazy part is I still technically don't even want to. I just want us to get the help we need. >> Yeah. >> Cuz that's what it is. It keeps festering cuz we keep getting angry and it keeps festering. >> Yeah. And it and it takes uh it takes both of you to want to get that help and to get it. >> Yeah. I'm actually doing my part and he said he'd eventually jump in. But >> you you've never been arrested for her? >> No. >> Ultimately, the woman was transported to jail and charged with domestic battery. She faced a $1,000 bond for a first offense. Depending on judicial assessment, she could also be subject to a no contact order or GPS monitoring under programs like Shield [music] if deemed high- risk. What do you think about the state's authority to move forward with charges even if the alleged victim forgives? Instinct hinted that something was off and what followed confirmed it. On December 7th, 2025 in Lake County, Illinois, deputies responded to reports of a disturbance at a local bar. Objects were thrown. She refused to leave. When alcohol fuels ego, the line between an Uber ride home and the backseat of a squad car gets thin real fast. >> Hi there. How are you? >> Hi. >> What's going on? >> I'm just sitting here. >> You're just sitting here? No. From my understanding, you're not just sitting here. I think you've overstayed your welcome. >> I'm okay. I'll go home. >> Okay, let's go. >> No problem. >> Oh boy. How are you going to get home? Well, I can do >> upight. >> What? >> Upright. >> Upright. Upright. I got >> what they're doing to me. >> No, I'm not doing anything else. >> All right. How are you planning on getting home? >> Uber. >> Uber. >> Do anything. >> I didn't say you did anything. 11 minutes. >> We'll go wait outside. I'll let you sit in the back of my car. >> I did nothing. >> Okay. Do you have your ID? >> I do. So, that's a joke. Sorry. Yeah, you're having trouble standing. Easy. I'm going to put >> So, I did nothing wrong. >> Nobody said you did anything wrong. >> So, get off my arm like that. >> I'm trying to stop you from breaking your head open on the floor. >> So, you're doing something front leg. >> I'm doing something. >> No, I don't want you to fall. >> I'm all professional. I don't want >> You literally can't stand straight. >> I can Uber and get in the back of the car and be done with you. I don't have to deal with you. >> I don't know why you're giving me. I'm trying to help you out. I'm going to jail. Ready? >> Be cool. Go ahead. These people are trying to enjoy their evening and you're ruining it. >> What? >> You suck. You're awful. >> Thank you. I appreciate that. >> Okay, fine. I apologize. >> You got your ID cuz you're about 3 seconds away from going to jail. And if you refuse to give me your ID, you are going to jail. >> Tie my boob. >> Yeah, please. >> Thank you. >> You just have to lace it properly. >> Can you do it right? >> No, I'm not tying your boob. You just called me an [ __ ] or something. So, I'm not tying your boot. >> Yes, you are an [ __ ] >> See? And this is >> the bartender. She's talking. >> She's on the phone with you at the bar. >> Okay. >> No way. >> No, you're good. >> Go away. Go away. Go away. >> She carried herself with that familiar customer power energy, as if being a patron meant owning the room. But once bar policy was enforced and handcuffs came out, legal order replaced the authority. She believed she held. >> You're under arrest for disorderly conduct. >> Stop. Hey, [ __ ] it. >> This is a common shift when perceived entitlement collides with legal consequence. Once control slips, the focus moves from facts to attacking the officer's character. Anything but addressing the behavior itself. >> Okay. Well, >> it's going to be a big problem. Go on. That's so sad. I'm best friends with the commander of the VFW. You're such an idiot. It's really not nice. >> When threats didn't land, she pivoted to targeting the officer's personal worth, trying to provoke an emotional reaction. The officer's calm, professional silence only highlighted the imbalance further. >> Like, do you have not have a home life? Do you have a wife or kids? Do you not care about your life? >> You don't care about anything. You're just going to go to jail. I'm going to take people to jail. >> You're just doing that. So sub. I got her. She was ultimately transported to jail and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with force and battery on a law enforcement officer. What do you think when someone repeatedly name drops their powerful connections? Is that real confidence or just a paper shield for someone who's scared underneath? So, what began as a routine response quickly veered off course. On January 29th, 2024, deputies stopped a vehicle weaving through traffic. The driver, 33-year-old Ashley, was reportedly on her way to the grand opening of her own office. But it wasn't the erratic driving alone that escalated the stop. It was her attitude. >> Sure. >> Do you know the time tag is expired? >> I I don't know. I just I just said, "Let me see I can show you the text." I said, "Let me see your car so I can take my baby to school and go to work." >> No problem. >> Why am I getting pulled over? >> Your time tag is expired. Uh, >> where do you work at? >> Right here in this um the part you see where it say tax is at. >> Mhm. >> Today my actually my first day opening my own office. >> Oh, really? Congrats. >> Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Um, this is my license. >> Thank you. >> And actually with the 10 tags, would you want me to call them? >> There might be a uh registration or insurance in there. >> I don't see nothing but snacks. registration. I don't know if this this is it. No, this is the car. >> Does he have any insurance for the car? >> I'm sure he does. >> Well, you may contact him. I'll be right back. Okay. American Credit Accept. So, it still register to a dealership. Ohio. >> Chris, it's up to you what you want to do, but I would just take the tag and just explain to her, >> you know, >> this can't be on a car we're seizing. >> It's not assigned to a car. We're taking it. Um, >> and that would go into evidence or >> no crime. I mean, I think this is probably the tactic dealer gave, but for some reason it didn't get registered properly. It's expired anyway. >> I would take it. >> Okay. And tell her to figure out before she goes home. And if you want to tell them, hey, look, call a dealership and see if they can do something for you and you leave it on there and figure it out, you could, I guess. But when it's expired, it's not valid. >> Although her registration had expired, the officer initially showed flexibility, indicating she could drive home if she cooperated. However, upon closer contact, deputies detected an unusual odor inside the vehicle, shifting the direction of the encounter. >> So, was this the registration? >> No. No. >> Okay. Um, so that tag is not coming back to this car. It's not coming back to anything. He said the dealer, he just told me the dealer said I think two weeks or >> two weeks >> or he told him two weeks ago. It should be coming back though. >> It was the dealer. The tags. >> The tag. So he's already spoken to the dealer. >> Yes, he's spoken to the dealer. >> Okay. >> I guess he's spoken to the dealer. >> So technically you're not supposed to be driving this car. That tag is attached to it because it's not coming back to the vehicle. >> I was going to seize the tag because you're telling me he spoke to the dealer. I'm not going to seize the tag just so you can get back home with this car. But once you get back home with this car today, >> don't drive it. Okay. >> Okay. Until you get that new tag on it, it's not going back to a car at all. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I definitely let the deal. >> Well, he'll talk to the deal again. >> Does that make sense? >> Yes, that makes sense. >> Do you have any questions? >> No. >> So, let me ask you. You said you dropped your kid off at school. >> How old is your child? >> A lot of these questions. >> Well, cuz your car smells like weed. So, I'm trying to explain something to you. How old is your child? >> I don't want to answer any more questions. >> Okay. What I'm trying to tell you is your car smells like weed. If you're driving a kid around in it, >> I would never drive a kid around. Ain't nobody ain't no kids in a car. Okay. When did you drop your kid off? >> Ain't nobody in the car with me. Ain't no kids in the car. Awesome. >> Step out of the car. >> No kids in the car with me. >> Okay. Do you have anything illegal in the car we got to worry about? >> That's not my car. >> Well, that's not what I asked you. >> I don't know what's in it. I just told >> Can you do bag down there, please? Right now, we are going to search your car cuz it smells like marijuana. Okay. >> Okay. Can Can I speak to someone else? >> I'm telling you, put your stuff down and step out of the car. >> Can I have a supervisor? Cuz I think you just about 51. I don't understand why you not let go. >> Based on based on your behavior right now and there's no smell marijuana and we're searching your car behavior problem to step out of the car. I don't know. Let me let me call >> step out of the car. >> Can you please not touch me? >> Step out of the car. >> Okay, I will. But this guy you put his hands on me though. You're not listening. Step out of the car or you're going to jail. You understand? >> What am I going to jail for? >> For resisting if you don't get >> With probable cause established, the officer moved forward with a vehicle search. Ashley, however, interpreted the action as a violation of her privacy. From there, she began reframing the situation as though she were the one being treated unfairly. >> I feel like my heart is just racing. >> I'm telling you, step out of the car. You understand that? >> Ma'am, we're going to search we're I understand. We're going to search your car. So, we need you to step out of the car. Okay. >> Why is he putting force on >> because we need you to I understand that. But he didn't never told me to step. He grabbed me before he told me to step out. Just just step out now. Just step out. >> I don't think there's right though. >> We are searching your car. We can't have you in the car. >> I don't have no kids in the car. He asked me. >> I understand. But due to the smell of weed I I like I said, >> out of the car, man. >> Why you not treating me like that? >> Just step out of the car. >> Why are you treating me like that though? >> Why are you treating me like that? >> Why are you treating me like that? Crystal, they pulling me over. These guys arrested me. Come over. >> But you ain't calling back. I don't understand what I put my hand. Put your hand behind your back. >> We're just going to detain you >> cuz you're not listening. Put your Put your hand behind your back and say for no reason >> right now. You're being detained. >> You're not under. >> You're not under arrest. You're just being me like that. Why? You was just about to let me go. Why? >> You're being detained. >> Okay. But you understanding. >> Why is he grabbing on me? Help. Help me. Help me. Help. Why is he doing me? Because all we're asking you is put Look how he got my back. Look Look how he got my back. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Here he comes. >> I didn't do anything. >> We're just detaining you, man. That's it. >> But why is she being rough? You're a woman. You understand? He's being rough. >> Put your And woman to woman, put your hands behind your back. >> That's why he got my hand. Oh my god. Why are you being a jerk? Stop. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop [ __ ] resisting me. Just >> you were hurting me. >> We asked you to step out of the car several times. >> He was grabbing me before we asked him to step out the car. So you understand that, right? >> Turn around and face the car. >> Can you PLEASE THE CAR? >> PLEASE >> face the car. >> I'm going to take this. Your phone is right here. >> Can you please answer the car? >> Okay. So, since we did smell weed in your car, I'm going to search your person as well. When verbal arguments stopped gaining traction, her response turned more physical and she referenced mental health concerns. It appeared she hoped the shift might slow things down or at least change how others perceive the moment. >> Can you spread your feet for me? >> I have anxiety. >> I understand. >> I don't think you do. You can't have anxiety in Vietnam. >> That's not true. >> If you get this hand be a jerk today. She is searching me, but I don't have no issue with her. She's not afraid of me. My hands is already >> Do you understand why we're searching your car, ma'am? >> Yes, I understand why you're searching my car. >> Okay. So, what we're doing now is we're going to wait for another unit to search the car. Okay. >> Just not even my car. >> Okay. >> Did you say that? >> Yep. >> So, she didn't want to go to the car at first. She's upset that I grabbed your arm. >> No. Stop. Stop moving. I just please turn around. >> Just No, just stand just like that, please. >> You're not blasting up. I >> I have nothing to do with any of this. The supervisor's on the way. I'm just another officer, and my job is to just make sure that you don't move. >> Simple as that. Okay, we're just going to stand here. >> You got me to go with my laptop. >> We We'll get it all figured out. >> But you don't understand. I was just opening my store for the first time. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, just hang tight. Everything will get solved. >> I understand. You're not you're not trying to hear me. Not trying to listen to this. It's just the >> You ask for a supervisor. Supervisor on the way. You'll have your opportunity to speak with a supervisor. >> All right. But I'm telling you, >> as as a taxpayer, as a a woman, I'm telling you, >> okay? I'm telling you, a supervisor will speak with you and get everything solved. >> I'm telling you something else. >> My job right now is to just stand here. That's it. >> So, you don't care about nothing. I >> say I don't care. >> But but what I'm telling you is he was really being rough and just here. and that's something that you can talk to the supervisor. >> Once physical evidence was presented, her narrative largely unraveled. Yet, her primary concern centered on being late to open her office. A priority that revealed a disconnect between legal consequences and personal perception. I'm >> going to explain everything to you. Okay. >> So, this is what we were smelling is marijuana, right? >> Okay. >> So, you understand? You smell it. >> Not my vehicle. Okay. >> But you're driving the car. >> I don't know why you're trying to make things I couldn't even find the insurance in the car. We asking for things immediately. I told her that's not even my car. I can show you the text messages where I just said to someone said if you're driving a car, you're responsible for what's in the car. Does that make sense? You're the only person driving this car. Nobody else is in this car. Just you right. >> Okay. >> Is that an accurate statement? >> Right now, at this moment, I'm the only person driving this car. If I would have been driving this car 5 minutes before me, he would have just dropped off to me. >> Okay. I'm just explaining to you when we get here. I don't know if you've been driving this car all day or if you just drove it 5 minutes. I don't know. All I know is this car smells like beef. I'm trying to talk to you about it. You eventually say I'm not going to answer that question. >> You never asked me about. You asked me what time I dropped my daughter off. >> Yeah. I asked how old your daughter was. Right. That's what the first question I asked you. You said why? >> And I said because your car you ask me about my daughter. I don't want to answer no questions about my daughter. >> And then when I told you the car smelled like you said I don't want to answer your questions. >> Because it's not even my car. When you when you pulled me over, all my windows was down. So I don't even know what the car smell like. It was literally dropped off to me. I got in the car, dropped my daughter off, and literally came right here. This is not even 3 miles, 4 miles. I >> I just want to see if we can get on the same page with this is this is stupid. This is a little bit of weed. It's not a big deal, right? But when you're telling me you're not going to get out of the car and I have to try to get actually pull you out of the car, that's when you start getting into resistant resistance. >> Cuz what I'm getting out the car for >> because your car smells like we >> pull me out the car. No, you told me exactly. You didn't look at the camera. >> Yes. She was transported to jail and charged with resisting an officer without violence and possession of under 20 grams of marijuana. The marijuana charge was later dropped. She entered a no contest plea to resisting and paid a total of $585 in court costs and fines. The takeaway, a bad attitude won't carry you far, and an oversized ego in a legal setting usually digs the hole deeper. So when stubbornness on the road meets accountability, public entitlement rarely gets a pass. On June 4th, 2025, during a major Shakira concert, deputies were dispatched to a venue concession area following a dispute over standing space near a staircase. What started as a night of entertainment quickly shifted into a legal confrontation? The question became what pushed it over the edge. [cheering] >> Are you going to touch this? Hey, don't do nothing. >> I wasn't going to go to Listen to me. You just listen. >> No, we don't work like that. >> Are you going to trespass? >> If you trespass, then we can take >> Yo, CAN YOU GUYS LISTEN? >> JUST STOP YELLING. Just stop yelling. Let him >> I'm trying. The only reason I'm yelling is because of the contract. >> Okay, let's move over here. [cheering] I'm not scared to talk. You know what I mean? >> I'm not getting your face. All I'm trying to say is that you guys are going to come at me and my friends are standing right there when there's a whole group of five people doing the same thing. I'm not yelling at you. >> A different way to go about it, right? So, right now, what you doing is >> what am I doing wrong? >> You going to let me talk or you going to keep cutting me? >> I'm not cutting you off. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong to get trespassed. That's crazy. You have two choices. You're going to go back to your seat or you're going to get trespassed. Which one is it going to be? >> Which one is it going to be? >> Why are you talking to me like this? I didn't do anything wrong. >> Are you going to go back to sea or you going to get trespassed? >> Sir, I didn't do anything wrong. >> Are you going to go back to sea or you going to get trespassed? >> Are those people getting trespassed? >> Are you going to go back to >> Listen, there's a group. >> Although she was given opportunities to cooperate, her agitation increased and she refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing when repeated requests to leave. went ignored. Officer commands gradually lost practical effect. That refusal to comply became the tipping point. >> I'm not doing anything wrong. No, >> no. >> I'm not doing anything. [music] >> No, I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm not doing anything wrong. >> Yo, I'm not doing anything wrong. No, y'all are big, mad, aggressive. I'm not doing anything wrong. >> Trying to give you options and you don't want to take the options, right? >> I'm just trying to tell you. I'm trying to tell you. You want to trespass me? Trespass the other five people doing the same. Not doing anything wrong. I asked you. >> Yo, I asked the dare question. Y'all want to tackle me, bro? I didn't do [ __ ] No, cuz you guys are looking at me like I'm drunk as [ __ ] I really didn't do [ __ ] I'm just trying to talk to you guys. >> Listen, we tried to talk to you multiple times. >> I did. All I >> I got my body cam. Don't worry about >> That's fine. I want that. I want that. I really do. Y'all, you're not going to treat me like I'm a fugitive. I DIDN'T WANT TO SIT DOWN. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS STAND AT THE RING. I DID NOTHING WRONG. >> For a second, >> ma'am. I did nothing wrong. These guys are not listening to me. I didn't do anything wrong for a second. We're going to have a conversation [snorts] in a minute. >> I wanted to have a conversation from the point, but Mr. What's Can I see? Can I see? Please. Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Franco. No, it wasn't Franco. It was Aurora. They don't want to listen to me. >> When I walked up 203 204. Is this recording? >> Yes. >> Please. Thank you. I knew it's for the court case cuz it's ridiculous. I walked up the 203 204. My tickets are 204 Q, right? [snorts] I asked the bouncer. I said, "Hey, 204Q is very high up. Can we stand right here at the rail? He said, "That's fine. If you want to stand here, though, it's going to object other people's views, so I need something to tell them to calm down." I said, "Whatever you need, I got you. I got cash." He said, "Give me $20. I'll keep them calm." I hated him. >> She cited the money she had paid as justification to remain in a restricted area. But a private transaction does not override venue safety policy. asking officers to retrieve her payment reflected a misunderstanding of authority and responsibility. >> And he told me, "That's fine." Then this gentleman right here in the bucket hat walked up and said, "You can't stand here." I said, "I just gave this gentleman $20 to stand right here. If I can't stand right here, can I please get my money back so I can go to my section?" And when I went to him and asked for my money back, he said, "That's not a possibility." I was like, "Listen, you just told me if I can stand right here, it's $20. Like, I'm not trying to make a scene for anybody. I barely had anything to drink. I just want to have fun at this concert. [snorts] He said, "Listen, whatever you gave me is whatever you gave me. If you can't stand here, you can't stand here." And then all of these officers walked up telling me to go to my section. And the second I tried to explain that to Mr. Wheeler and Mr. Auroro. They didn't want to hear the explanation. I wasn't trying to argue and go back and forth. I just wanted my money back. Give me my 20. I will go to my [ __ ] section. That's that's it. Like, I didn't do anything wrong. >> [snorts] >> I did nothing [ __ ] wrong. >> Relax for a second. OKAY. >> WELL, NO, BECAUSE THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. I WAS JUST TRYING TO have a conversation, but these two guys are too high in power that they don't want to listen to a [ __ ] person trying to talk to them. I did nothing wrong. I'm not a problem. I'm not. I walked up told me she stay an hour show up there. She's trying to stay us $20. You need to stand here. I said, "Okay, let me go a m trying to calm her down. Trying to calm her down. Trying to calm her down." At that time, Usher came back and I said, "Look, give his wallet my money back." He went in his wallet, gave the woman, gave her $20 back. >> Gave her $20 back. and he was $20 back. Right. So at that time off you see she would not stop arguing would not start arguing and she started swimming around and I lost the other hand as >> security confirmed she had already been refunded $20. Despite that she refused to exit and began flailing her arms. That physical escalation directly contradicted her earlier claim that she simply wanted her money back. >> Nothing talked about nobody read you your rights earlier. We're going to read them to you so I can ask you questions physically. >> Yeah, but you you have physically already arrested me before my rights were read. So you >> you were detained. We never said you were arrested. >> You told me I was under arrest. You did. You did. You said if I don't comply with your words, I'm under arrest. And you did exactly that. And it's on your body. >> So reading your rights, we don't do anything wrong. I want to explain something to you for a minute. I don't have to read you your rights until I want to ask you questions about something that you're accused of doing. Okay. >> I didn't do anything wrong. >> He's going to read them to you and then we'll ask I'm going ask you some questions and then we'll >> I will not answer any questions. I will answer questions and then Miranda rights can be read. >> That's we can't do it. >> Well, you guys have physically already arrested me. It's past detained because detained means you lock me up and you question me beforehand. I am now in a physical point where I'm not able to leave. I have no freedom of nothing. I am arrested at this point. I'm in your guys' legal obtain. So you reading me my rights right now is not changing when your officers should have read it out there. >> That's not We don't have Listen, you >> you reading me my rights is agreeing to me being under arrest. And Miss Brinkley, I did nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong. >> Too much. >> I did nothing wrong. >> Listen, now you are officially under arrest. Okay. I'm going have you step up and I'm escort you to my car. No, cuz you're Why are you being so aggressive, Mr. >> We gave you multiple times to talk to you? >> No. You've been this aggressive from the point because I tried to talk to you when you came down there. >> When you came down there, I tried to tell you if you wanted me to go to my section, that's fine. The people to the right of me, there was five people that were standing at the rail, the direct so we can have a conversation. >> But you're not listening to me. You're not listening to me because it was a simple conversation from the point. that you want to you you want to be so aggressive with your power for no reason. I'm not the problem. >> She declined to acknowledge her role in the conflict. The stalemate suggested an ego unwilling to concede control from the officer's standpoint. Further explanation offered diminishing returns. What's >> the point when arresting me for you? >> Can you okay ask a question ma'am? >> Can I ask question without reading your rights? >> Yeah, but you arrested me before reading my rights. Not you never said that. And I want the I want the body camera footage of that because not once did you say I was detained. >> Like this is ridiculous. I did nothing [ __ ] wrong. >> Come over here. Come here. >> Y'all want to question me for what? I did nothing wrong. Y'all got people out here that are speaking in real [ __ ] and you're worried about me. I'm not the problem. Abuse of power and it it'll get brought up in court. This is ridiculous. This is [ __ ] ridiculous. I did nothing. Mom, I asked you if you want to treat me like this. The people to my right, can you treat them the same? And y'all got mad that I brought that out to your attention. This is [ __ ] ridiculous.
