Well, right now you are to tanks. You're not free to leave. If you try to leave, you will be arrested immediately. Jessica Twitchell >> Nine different incidents? Nine different incidents. Yeah, so >> number 10. This is number 10. Okay. Being a mother means being a protector, but for these women, a child is nothing more than a shield for their own greed. I'm trying to call the girl that have my car so she can tell them like I'm going [music] to jail so she can pick my baby up. This is my job. I'm very confused here. Okay, the car's stolen. All right. The line between family and felony has never looked so thin or so heartbreaking. That's your daughter? Yes, I'm going to call her. >> [music] [crying] >> One has to wonder, is there any regret or is it already too late once those handcuffs click shut? I didn't even walk out the store and I'm getting charged for what? Theft? On February 20th, 2026, police arrived at Walmart following reports of a brazen theft. Instead of protecting her child, this mother chose the most cowardly path, abandoning the toddler to save herself. Here is what happened when officers detained the woman she was with. We are in the middle of getting a training receipt right now. So, she was with another party. That party had purchased her items at a man checkout and walked out. >> Okay, come back. >> She um attempted to Are you calling for someone to pick up your order? I'm calling because the person I was with She stole her attempt to push out first receipt twice and was stopped both times by the door man. She came to this side, jumped up to cover to customer service to call for her party, they never came. She walked back into the store. I think they paid for everything. Okay, well I'll I'll talk to you after. She Where where is her mom at? You have no idea. I was here. I called I actually gave the registers. I did try. Yeah, I called you back. She's not answering. I'm I'm straight to customer service. I was My thing was we were going shopping for them. It It You could potentially get arrested. You want this little girl to go with diapers for them? Find her mom. Bring that Figure it out. Where is her mom at? My love, I don't know. I was here. She was supposed to pay for her [ __ ] >> No car. You walk here? Taxi? From where? From where? Where I'm going to call Diphus if you don't call her. Where is her mom at? Her shelter. This is crazy. >> her mom's name? Brandy Solista. I've been over over the phone. Yo, at this point I'm about to call Diphus myself. Yes. Yeah, like at this point I'm about to call Diphus myself cuz the fact that I'm coming here All right, Sadie's in front of me. I don't want to have this conversation. It's really doesn't have anything to do with this. I'm calling Diphus. I don't care what they have to do. I'm calling Diphus and I'm getting the kids ready. I don't care about me. I care about the kids. She fills the silence of her fear with aggression, using the child's image as a shield for her supposed innocence, but it's all just a performance to distract from the reality of that shopping cart. I don't know. It doesn't really matter. I told them I'll pay for what I got to pay for, but half the [ __ ] is Randy's, so she's going to have to take accountability for what she was supposed to pay for. No, no, you do cuz you have cards. You're responsible. So, I'm responsible cuz I have a card for somebody who was putting in my cart? Bro, because I'm [ __ ] Randy, don't put me in a shitty ass position and I'm probably going to get locked up because she's a lying ass [ __ ] I'm at Walmart. I have my food stamp card and it's in her wallet. I was supposed to pay half of the food and then she was supposed to pay half of the clothes for her and Sadie and Jason and William. I don't went to the [ __ ] customer service like two or three times on top of to line asking for her name. She didn't show, up, I figured, "Okay, she's paying." I called her, she didn't answer. So, I just figured she was outside. So, I'm I didn't even go outside yet. I'm like halfway out the store, and then they [ __ ] checked me. I'm calling her, she's not answering me and all that thing. >> I have Sadie with me. Like, for all this, I would have never came here with her. I mean, she apparently she's getting in the shopping list. Okay, can I just reload it and reload it? >> Yeah, and I've been thinking that I'm paying for half of it, and she has my card. I don't know, nobody can find her. I'm in the office at Walmart. They're trying to locate her, they cannot find her. I have Sadie with me. I told them I said, "I'll pay for whatever's in the cart." If she left, I'll pay. They're not letting me leave. I'll pay for my [ __ ] for my [ __ ] I'll pay for it. But, all the clothes that was in my cart for Sadie, her and all the boys, I'm not paying for it. I was supposed to pay for a couple of the food items. As you can see, she's trying to play the victim to gain sympathy. However, the cameras don't lie. They show her moving from door to door trying to sneak out alone long before this. Thank you. Are they Well, they were going to come and get me and her. Who's coming? Um my son's father, her uncle. Um but, you have no location of Brandy? Because I was supposed to pay for four items. Everything else in that cart was her. And I called her, I made sure I went to the same ones, they didn't give me no answers. I figured I was okay. Like, I figured I was okay when she didn't show. And I didn't walk out. And I Like I'm saying, I'll pay for whatever the heck her [ __ ] is. Excuse my language, but I'll pay for my stuff. I'm not paying for hers. She was going back to the shelter. What shelter? >> gave her a ride to her home. >> So, your car is here? No, I took a taxi. I actually with the storm going on, my car skidded off the road. What about her stuff? Did Did she actually take anything? Her only stuff in the She's going to send stuff in the She was left inside. She was left She was left was stuffing the cart the other chick. But I don't know if we have footage of that or not. This lady here tried to go out the other door first, then she then she tried to go out that garden door. So she didn't move. She didn't. Well, we don't know. We have the other girl on camera stealing stuff. >> I was sure um man I can't I know because she paid so we I think she left the clothes Dakota can tell you better. But did she conceal it at all? No. No? No, she had a big pile of clothes. I didn't know. She took some stuff and left the clothes. That's what I was told. I was following this girl but we never had her the other girl stealing trying to take anything out of the store. No, not no not to our knowledge not to our knowledge no. It would just be her for now I mean. I'll What what's her uncle coming? Uncle uncle no. All right. Come on Cindy Mariah's right here. I'm going to make sure this is all right. Can I see? Yeah. Mariah come up here stay right there. Right there stay right there. At this moment her arguments completely crumble against the video evidence. Sadly, she doesn't realize that legally participating in a theft makes her responsible for every single item in that cart. Yo, I'm about to SPAZ BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO BEAT THE [ __ ] OUT OF HER MOM. NO. SO YEAH. Close the door, please. Bro, this is ridiculous. I don't DO THIS [ __ ] I DON'T DO ANY OF THIS [ __ ] SHE'S supposed to be here. I don't know what the [ __ ] she had a burgundy and black one on. And then a green one. It's ridiculous. Can I press charges? Like I would like to press charges. Can you calm down cuz >> I was not aware that y'all seen that I have called her multiple times. I don't get in trouble. Like I would like to press charges at At point. I would really like to press charges. I would really get in trouble. Like, I would really like to press charges because I really thought like I called her name multiple times and I made sure of it. >> What's the What's Randy's last name? Salister, I believe. >> Salister or is it not Snyder? >> charges on her. What? >> Because I don't get in trouble. I realistically like I called her name for a reason multiple times. I don't >> What do you want to press charges on her? >> The whole incident. Like, I'll pay for the four items that I came out of the I thought >> Hey, we don't negotiate at all. >> No, I understand, but I'm sitting here saying I would like to press charges. >> You You can press charges on anyone for anything at this courthouse. You feel like you want to press a charge, go to the courthouse. So, I'm going to have to what? Get detained and >> Well, you are You are detained right now. We're just confirming everything. Cuz I As you can see, I don't want to customer service and lay-in's multiple times. I called her. You can You got everything? Yep. I can pay. Like I said, I I have the money. It was just a misunderstanding on my I don't ever get in trouble. I'm not trying to get in trouble. Like, I really thought she was responsible for what she did. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. It's almost laughable how she threatens to sue her partner just to avoid going down alone. Beyond the shoplifting, she truly is a talented actress in the role of a victim, but the officers have seen this play far too many times. Can you stand up for me, please? Of course. Why are you guys grabbing me? You're being told and not listening. So, I'm guessing she's not getting locked up by just him. She didn't steal anything. Are you serious? >> Just going to search real quick. Are there pockets? Can you put that in my purse? I'm going to search with my back hand, your waistline, okay? >> my I have to. He's just going to be with the back of his hand. He's not going to back my Just go ahead and make sure there's no weapons in the area. Don't go like towards your crotch or your butt or something. You guys have watched them. You seen me sit here and call out her name multiple times. >> What is that >> I didn't even walk out the store and I'm getting charged for what? Theft? Um I'll be out of here in a little while. Feel his arm here cuz he's got a clicks through everything. Very good. Do you know what it's like it's small handcuffs? You got like [ __ ] hands tight as hell. Like I'm a dumbass [ __ ] Steal it from here. And I've been telling you I don't want to multiple people out of the camera name and I'm the one getting charged. Like this is ridiculous. And you're arresting me. And you're arresting me because you can't find somebody else who was actually doing this [ __ ] Shop lifting, yeah. Made the attempt? I made the attempt. Yeah, doesn't mean you're guilty. I made the attempt. >> Doesn't mean you're guilty. I made the attempt and I have to sit here and say somebody's name multiple times, but Walmart cannot Find her shoplifiting and they only found you. Y'all got the [ __ ] upper hand. Is this your jacket or No, it's not my jacket. You know what? It's Target lawyer and attorney. I don't want to answer any of questions. >> Her signature, please. Is that um It's not mine, so I don't know. Do I wear a 2T? No. And while you're at it, can you please give my purse to dad along with my vape and my phone? Well, we're going to search it first make sure there's no contraband or anything. >> All right. If she's here, yeah, we can do that. But we got to get her out of here when I witness her. We waited long enough. Well, maybe if you you want an extra dollar for mhm. Not necessarily. With you? >> Yeah, you're upset with us like WE >> CUZ Y'ALL NOT DOING YOUR JOB. >> WE ARE. You're not. You're not. You shoplifted. You exited out the door. That defiant attitude is nothing more than a shield for an ego shattering in front of the crowd. It's only when the handcuffs click shut and she's led to the car that the reality and perhaps the regret finally sets in. You're mad at us for doing our job, which is No. NO, NO, NO, NO. I'M MAD at you for not doing your job. How you got to be sitting here saying she's going to pay you for No. You guys told me You guys told You guys told You guys You guys You guys are hurting my [ __ ] You guys are hurting MY [ __ ] Y'ALL GET THE [ __ ] off me. Yo, real [ __ ] Unhook my [ __ ] They're too tight. Y'all about to [ __ ] y'all up. I'm about to [ __ ] y'all up. Y'all get the [ __ ] Yo, relax. Get the [ __ ] off me. GET THE STAY BACK. I'M TELLING Y'ALL TO GET OFF ME FOR A REASON. I have a [ __ ] fractured wrist. Get off my wrist. Yo, y'all are hurting my wrist. Y'all are hurting my [ __ ] wrist. Y'all a bunch of [ __ ] [ __ ] Get the [ __ ] off me. And like I'm telling Y'ALL THE TRUTH AND Y'ALL DON'T WANT TO HEAR ME. Hi beautiful. Hi, how are you? >> I'm good. How are you? I can't complain. Do you have anything on you that's going to poke me, stick me, prick me? All right. Please spread your legs. All right, have a seat. All right, slide on down. So, this is going to be tight because you have thin wrists. So, I'm just letting you know, do not try to slide out. You will be charged. >> Oh, I know. Trust me. In the end, she was booked for retail theft, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest. If convicted, she faces 60 days to a year in jail and fines up to $5,000. But, the real victim here is the child left with the trauma of seeing a mother flee and a family member in handcuffs. Leaving your child behind to escape is bad enough, but our next mother takes this madness to a whole new level. On May 29th, 2024 at a Walmart in Florida, Madison Rubone gave the world a disturbing lesson in parenting. Instead of diapers and toys, she turned her 6-month-old stroller into a getaway vehicle for $150 in stolen goods. This young mother's confidence quickly evaporated the moment she stepped into the interrogation room. Arrest [clears throat] her. Sorry. That's okay. So, the total you have let me give you the grand total. I got two receipts. 148.70 combined. The stuff on the left she said this is her sister don't know. There's no ID and she doesn't want to talk. And then this one here she gave me the false information first her name but since told me the truth her name is Madison. And that stuff she concealed so all together they concealed around the baby in the stroller. And pushed it out the GM door. Nice. How old are you? 14 got you ever been to jail before? All right you both have the right to remain silent anything you say or do can be used against you in court. You have the right to consult with and have present an attorney before during and after questioning. If you decide to speak with me about the incident you can stop AT ANY [screaming] TIME. DO YOU UNDERSTAND your rights? Okay. So what what stuff did you conceal? Um earrings and a lipstick. No ma'am. And then the other stuff was in the bag. No all of that. And then the other stuff was there. It was seven and the shoes was there and then the long brown and then the other stuff was there. All right so this stuff here? Yes. What's what's Walmart's policy on juveniles? For her we won't be prosecuting. You won't? No and we do need a parent or guardian. >> [crying] >> All right do you want to prosecute on the I'm sorry? Do you want to prosecute on the adult right? >> Yes. Okay. That indifferent look on her face is nothing but a mask for the panic brewing underneath. Ironically while the 14-year-old with her is legally innocent Madison is facing heavy charges for involving a minor in her crimes. Oh. >> [crying] >> I'm sorry. >> [crying] >> I DON'T KNOW. I I I I HAVE [screaming] TO BE WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES RIGHT now or one OF US IS SO, SAM, IF YOU want to escort her to the restroom >> [crying] >> the bathroom AND WHATEVER. >> [screaming] >> YOU JUST GOT TO NO, YOU CAN'T LEAVE THIS area right now. You have to wait until somebody else Your hands in front of you. Unbelievable. Let's go. What's the other girl's relation to you? She is um right here. She's my neighbor. Your neighbor. I swear I parked it here. Look up your car. Yeah. Okay. Could you just So I can drop the bag where you want me to drop it? I'll grab it. This one right here? >> if I got my tampons? Yeah. Okay, where are those at? They're back there. Mhm. I don't know. What do you Yeah, whatever you want to The way Madison's story shifts from she's my sister to she's just a neighbor shows a calculated pattern of lies. While she is escorted to the restroom, the officer takes a moment to try and reach the 14-year-old girl. I'm going to explain to her the the policy of Walmart and everything like that. All right? And how old is she? 14? 14. All right. Listen to me very carefully and very carefully, okay? Have you ever been in trouble with the law? It was a good time. Okay, what happened? Just curious. Um Well, it wasn't like this. It was just like in a house like a There was a lady there and that's she was like Okay, were you Did you get arrested or anything like that? Okay. All right, well, listen, when you steal from a business, it's retail theft. You obviously knew what you were doing was wrong, okay? You can go to jail for that. Because of Walmart's policy, their policy is to not prosecute juveniles, cuz we were all young and dumb once. We've all made mistakes. We've all done stupid stuff. All right, so you're not going to be charged criminally today. All right. What I will tell you is hanging out with people like that is going to [ __ ] your life up. I And And Yeah, I get it. I understand. And And maybe she's a good person at heart. So, I'm I'm not I'm not saying that she's a bad criminal person, but from my perspective, she's rolling around in a store with two juveniles, a toddler, and And you, you're almost an adult, but not quite. Or I'd be writing a report on it and, you know, giving you a court date and that sort of thing. For her case, she stole quite a bit of money or of items that are worth quite a bit of money, 150 bucks. And the aggravating factor is that you're a juvenile and the little one is a juvenile and it's in her presence. Poor parenting. So, maybe you have kids someday, don't make those same decisions. So, you know, with what you do now can have a drastic impact on your life. Mhm. Yeah. So, you're you're you're getting off pretty easily here, okay? But, you know, you Just because you're not an adult doesn't mean you can't be held accountable. Stepping into the role of a stern father figure, the officer knows that separating the child from Madison is the only way to save the girl's future. Soon after, the arrival of the mother and her blunt, harsh words might just be the wake-up call Madison needs. You have your ID, ma'am? I'm on it. You know I shouldn't Yes, ma'am. Is this your daughter? Yes, unfortunately. >> [crying] >> So, whose idea was it? What about your truthful bars? The pants, the shirt, the video I sent you. What? They do what they do, don't they? You've got a child, a 6-month-old baby, and you're here with her shoplifting. Thank you very much. The aggravating factor in this scenario is you have two juveniles that you're responsible for here. I have said you have nothing to do with her. How many times have I said stay away? What was she stealing? >> And And this No, that's fine. And this business of oh, they shouldn't be arresting me or whatever. You committed a crime, so we make an arrest based on our judgment of the facts and circumstances, not whether You and I are not >> We're making We're making an ideal with this or that. Is this what you stealing? Yes. Why? Was she stealing toiletries? You don't need stuff, Madison. You've asked for enough money to buy stuff. You don't need to steal. The shirt. No. Just stop it. You don't worry about me, darling. Stop it. Because where you're going you won't be by yourself. Is Is the actual country you're wearing United Kingdom or Wales or England. >> England? Yeah. I always get confused what's considered UK and Yeah, I'm not Irish. Yeah. Okay, right. That's Northern Ireland, right? >> [laughter] >> Okay. Here's the kicker. Madison wasn't in need. She simply chose to steal. This isn't a story of survival. It's a clear example of pure arrogance and a total breakdown of basic moral values. Where's the father of the child? You don't know where he is? He's not Not Not Not involved in the situation. Okay. He kind of just dipped when he found out I was pregnant. Got you. And I'm not I'm not making judgments on it. I just if he wanted to come pick up the child or if he's a Mexican or Sorry about that. Um do you have any questions for him? Basically, she She took some stuff. She's um a juvenile. Walmart elects not to prosecute, so she's getting off scot-free. She's still being listed as part of the report. Um They should They probably should stay away from each other. All right? Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. Yeah. The petty theft is not going to be a lot. The con- you know, the fact that you were uh responsible for two juveniles at this time, that's what's going to you know, be the the higher amount. But, I can't see it being more being more than 10. Could you not put me in handcuffs? I promise I won't do anything. Yeah, that's fine. It's just not really that comfortable. Well, listen, ma'am. Getting arrested isn't comfortable. I know. I know. All right. And you seem You seem to be listening to me. You seem to have this attitude of like, "Oh, well, I did wrong, but you know, everything will bend and flex for me." And that's not how it goes. You're in the custody of the state now or the county. All right. All right, let's go. I'll get with you later. Yep. I'll be right back with my phone and my keys. Yep, you got your phone with you? What are you going to do with Yes, I got them here in my pocket. So, my phone is >> Yep, yep, yep, that's fine. All right, we're going to go this way to my car, okay? Can I get my phone and my clothes out of my car real quick? You need to what? I need some of my clothes out of the car. What do you need your clothes for? >> You shouldn't need anything cuz they will not let you take anything with you need. You're going to jail. You're not You're not going on to a holiday, yeah. In the end, Madison Rabon was booked into the Suwannee County Jail on charges of retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She is now permanently banned from all Walmart locations. Since this story broke, the online community has had plenty to say about her choices. You know a mother is fed up when her answer to is this your daughter is yes, unfortunately. Why is the 20-year-old hanging out with a 14-year-old who's not a relative? Weird. Her blaming the 14-year-old is crazy work. What do you think about this woman's choices? Drop your thoughts in the comments below. But believe it or not, she's an amateur compared to our next warrior who had the persistence to rob Target 10 times in a row. On November 16th, 2024 at a Target in Utah, Jessica and her son arrived under the illusion of being invisible. After nine successful tag switching heists, this ghost believed she was above the law. But today, this mother's superpowers have officially expired. Well, I need to talk to you. I'm just getting my car done. Yeah, this is going to have to wait. I just need to get my son home. Okay, this is going to have to wait. >> to my house and then >> I'm not going to follow you to your house. So, thank these really nice people for attempting to help you and if you still need help and we're done, then I can help you, okay? Okay. Okay. All right, thank you. Can you call my son's dad to come get him? Uh we'll see what happens, okay? So, here's the thing is we got called here. Target is saying that you were caught trying to steal some items from them. So, we're going to investigate that and if that's the case, we'll go from there. If it's a misunderstanding, then we'll go from there, okay? But right now you are detained. You're not free to leave. If you try to leave, you will be arrested immediately. >> All right. Do you have a cell phone on you? It's dead. Okay, this is what I'm going to have you do. I got to move my car cuz there's a bunch of people trying to get out and stuff. I'm going to have you just come up towards the front of the store in a little second, okay? This way you don't try to drive away or anything like that. My car is dead. Huh? That's a fair point. Okay, um I'm still going to have you go up towards the front of the store cuz I'm going to move my car up there so it's out of the way, okay? Well, sir, sit down. Why are you putting down his information? Well, because you were caught shoplifting with a minor with you, which means you're also going to be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. What does that mean? So, basically in the state of Utah, if you perform criminal acts in front of a minor, it's called contributing to the delinquency of a minor cuz it leads him to believe that that's okay to do. In reality, Jessica wasn't worried about her child at all. She was simply turning him into an emotional hostage to bargain for her own freedom. However, that performance quickly fell apart once the security team identified her face-to-face. >> has not scanned or if it did scan, it's ticket switched with a different item. Okay. That worked before. [laughter] What's her? Um we have that much evidence on her plus this, okay? Um I have not filed these yet. I was going to and but you know what? She's probably going to come in. I'd rather catch her myself. She came in, caught her myself. >> So, >> Well, this is >> We caught her. Jessica Twitchell. >> nine different incidents? >> Nine different incidents. >> Yeah, so This is number 10. This is number 10. Okay. Yeah. I'm sure you're aware of how like if we catch her, we'll address this one and then you do the online reporting for the other ones. >> Fortunately, I'm aware >> Unfortunate, yeah. >> [laughter] >> I'll be honest, I totally like it definitely puts both of us, but I mean if I had to now do nine different reports on this, I'm Yes. Absolutely. There's more important things for you to do. It It adds a big chunk to me, but I understand. >> I completely understand it. We want to cooperate with you guys as much as we can. So, she selected a whole bunch of stuff. Um went into the fitting room. Okay. Um of course, we can't see what's happening in the fitting room, but when she comes out, she has the same stuff that I can re-identify what she went in there with, including some of the items that are that are in here. Okay. These gummies, so I select those. Most of the stuff that's in here I saw her select. Okay. And bag and tie this bag shut. Okay. And when she comes out of the fitting room, we can see that it's in there. Some of the stuff she paid the right price for. Most of it has been price switched, which is part of what she does. She goes and gets a clearance tag, tears it off the merchandise, and puts it on. Vestibule, I head out. She comes over to Starbucks, puts in an order, leaves the order there. I don't know why. And then starts going out. I stop her, ignore name. Most of these, the reason why we didn't stop her is because we weren't here. Okay. Um we knew that she stole. We knew how she stole. We run that credit card. Here she is again, stealing again and again and again. So, we In a professional like Jessica, we see a clear moral downward spiral. She treats shoplifting as a survival skill, an actual job, rather than a crime, blurring the lines between right and wrong until they disappear entirely. >> I asked, "Do you have somebody that can pick up the kid?" She says, "No." And he's like, "Yeah, my dad." And she's like, "No, he's out of town." Well, you have roommates. Yeah. No, I'm not calling the roommates. I'm like, "Listen, it's probably a really good idea for you to get somebody down here. I'm giving you that option to call somebody because I don't know where you're going to go from here, but I know that I'm going to be calling SGPD." So, she then comes up with, "I've got to go to the bathroom." Which we are we have to comply with that. >> Right. I can stall a little bit. I tried to stall a little bit. Said, "Hey, I'm just going to call this in. As soon as I'm done calling it in, we'll walk you to the restroom." I call it in. "Let me have your identification." "I don't have identification." Okay, well what happened to it in the last 10 seconds? So I'm like, okay, well we've got your name. Yeah. So I told told dispatch, "Hey, she's not being compliant. She's going to probably run." They dispatch you. I hang up. We start walking around. I'm like, "Don't do anything stupid." Before we left the store, I said, "Listen, don't do anything stupid." I'm not. I just have to go to the bathroom. Okay, do you want to take him with you? Yes, I do. Okay. I'm like, okay, great. She's going to be line up. But I can't physically stop anybody. >> Okay. As soon as we get to the door, she goes out. I'm on 911. Okay. The dispatcher know what's going on. You drive in. Before you got here, sorry. That's the [snorts] other fun part. Where it just went like, what is happening right now? So she goes out. We watch what car she's getting into. We're standing on the sidewalk. The little boy gets away from her and starts running through the parking lot. I'm like, holy crap, this kid's going to get because he's this tall and it this is a really rough parking lot for accidents and whatnot. So >> [snorts] >> we come off the sidewalk into the crosswalk. He runs up to me saying, "I'm scared. I'm scared." And I'm like, "Buddy, give me your hand." And I took his hand. I said, "Listen, just go with your mom. You're going to be okay." She comes running up and I said, "Listen, don't leave. Come back in with me." She's like, "I'm taking him home." Okay, we're calling 911. The police are on the way. She goes out to her car, puts him in the car, goes to the trunk, gets jumper cables out. And I'm like, no way. I couldn't write a movie. When the child reaches out to a stranger for help, the grim truth is laid bare. He isn't running from the world. He is running from a deeply unstable mother. It turns out his mother's arms haven't been a sanctuary for a long time. They've only been a source of fear. >> available number for tonight. >> For the dollar amount? >> Yes. I can try to go get it. Can you try to get me something? It's going to be a while and I don't want to make you wait. So here's what we're going to have to do is >> Well, I can probably if I get a register going, if I can get one of these registers, I can probably get some of it at least. You yourself? >> Well, I can get Morgan to log me in. Okay. Yeah. Here's the other is if you can't get me a number it's not going to be like a make or break deal. It's a lot easier to say this person took x amount of dollars from Target or took x amount of dollars in merchandise. Well, honestly, with the history, the fact that this has happened multiple times, I'm going to take her to jail. Okay. So, like I said, I mean, I'm I'm going to guess even if it's an estimation from you guys, >> 500, less than 1,000? >> I mean, what do the freaking vitamins themselves even cost? >> Those are like 14, 15 >> is what 35, 45 >> 28, yeah. I I can try to go get this for Are you okay if I open this too bad cuz that's what I said to Absolutely, our merchandise is in there. Okay, I just want to make sure. >> I think that's that green Hooter's right there. >> Yeah, that's that green I think Some of this may not be ours because she came in with this bag. >> Yeah, she came in with the bag, but I don't know what all is Dollar Tree. If you can't find it right away, just don't worry about it. Just set it to the side. That's going to take a while. Okay. I'll be honest, just estimation, over 500 or under 500? Over 500? >> clothing? Today? Yeah. Over five today? >> Over five, and honestly, I I won't be shocked if it's over a grand. Okay. Well, the range is 5 to 1,500, so for the class A. >> 1,500. All right, so we'll just go with the class A, and I mean, honestly, if it ends up not being a class A, we can change the charges. It's not that big of a deal. So, we'll go class A over five. Okay, so what reason do you need Um the only other thing, can I get Can I watch a little bit of video footage? Meanwhile, Jessica is busy trying to rewrite reality because she can't face the image of a thieving mother. She constantly asks about her son, clinging to her role as a parent just to avoid the cold, hard truth that the handcuffs are coming. Yeah, sister is coming to pick up him. She's on her way right now. He's got a coat in the car Okay. that I don't know how to grab, but it's just in the back seat. Do you want to roll the windows and everything up on it? Yeah. Okay, let's go do that right now. Okay. So, that keeping you warm? Uh A little bit better? Kind of, but Good. I still want to go in the car. Yeah. Yeah, you're getting arrested. So, if we can get him in our car, if you're good with that. >> Yep, that's totally fine. Okay. All right. Are you Kimberly? Oh, hey. Listen, she's right here. Perfect. Okay, hang tight here for a second. All right, let's go. Turn face, sir. Place your hands on top of your head. Yep. >> Yep, interlace your fingers. This guy's got some tats and stuff on her hand that I just saw. I don't really want to touch him. So, Jessica, I'm going to search you real fast. That's money, so we're just going to We're going to count it just so you know what it is. We'll put it out there in front of you, and then we'll make sure it goes with you. Okay. So, you got 20, 30, 40, 50. So, 50. You got 1, 2, 6, 7. $58 in cash, and we've got at [snorts] least three quarters, some nickels, and some dimes. All right, they're going to recount it in the jail for you. Just so you're aware, I mean, you kind of know how this goes, but like, if I miss something on you and you take it into the jail, it's a felony charge, okay? So, anything I missed on you that they're going to find in the scanner? No? Okay. Last question, do you have anything on you that you concealed that belongs to the store? No. Any clothing items or anything like that? No. Okay, just making sure. They said you spent some time in the dressing room, just checking to make sure you didn't like throw a couple of sweaters on or anything like that that belong to the store. No. Okay, nothing like that? All right, perfect. Question, I know you paid Target some money. Uh-huh. Do you remember how much you charged your card for? Watch out so I can close the door. >> I paid cash, and it was like >> cash? $130. $130? Ultimately, she was taken to jail and charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. With the stolen goods valued over $800 and a history of nine prior incidents, Jessica faces a class A misdemeanor. This could mean 6 to 12 months in jail and fines up to $2,500. Stealing 10 times is one thing, but it's nothing compared to the all-in mother who decided to take her kids for a stroll in a stolen car. On October 26th, 2023, a local preschool was thrown into chaos when a school employee pulled up in a stolen vehicle to drop off her child. A stolen license plate led the police straight to the school gates. Let's see how this model mother tries to explain away a stolen car. Do you have your ID on you? I don't. Okay. You don't have any ID? I'm sure it's somewhere in my bag, sir. And these are all your children? They are. I work here. I just got back off the bus. I'm trying to get my car. >> why we're here. Do you see that? No. No. We're not here for DCF. I don't have any ID. I don't have any DCF either. Do I look like a DCF agent? No, and I'm really confused. Did you rent the car? I don't know. My boyfriend. Oh, your boyfriend rented it, huh? Who's your boyfriend? Woah. Woah. Yeah. Do you guys want to call him? Who's your boyfriend? His name is Henry. Well, his name is James. James? Yeah, just tell him to come out in a minute. I'll Well, anyway, do you guys know what's going on? The rental cars usually have a big giant uh It's a brand new car because I'm trying to help my school van. My boss was there and then Huh. Do you have your ID on you? Good to have your ID. Like I really didn't do anything. I'm Woah. >> This is my job. I'm very confused here. Okay, the car is stolen. Okay. Can we call this guy because This guy? What do you mean this guy? >> Can we call him? Please because I don't know. He let me use the car because my car is in the shop. Okay. Are you on the rental Are you on the rental agreement? I don't think so. Then you can't drive the car. Okay, listen. I Honestly, I had no idea. I literally don't know what's going on right now. I just told you what's going on. >> Okay. I didn't steal the car. My boyfriend rented it for me. What's his name? >> from Enterprise. James. >> James what? >> James Joyce. James It's okay. No problem. I'm just But it is a stolen car. Why? So, we're not with DCA, but we're not I don't know what else you have going on in your >> What did I do? I do have a lot going on in my life because my kids pooped their pants at school and they think it's my fault. Tina, please, I'm not okay. I'm not okay. That's right. Remember, he rented me the car because my car was in the shop. He hasn't been making the payment. He told me it's stolen. So, I like can't breathe. I can't we back it up? It's my job. You know he like, "What happened to the car?" We tried to All right. All right. All right. You're talking very fast in circles. Where do you live? I live in Jupiter. Hidden behind her worries for the children is a calculated performance of manipulation. She tries to play the poor mother in need of help to distract the officers, but unfortunately for her, the stolen vehicle tells a much different story. Is he in trouble? Should I know something like that? I'm thinking he's a great guy. My address is That's my mailing address. I live off Haverhill on Caribbean. How long you been with this guy? We've been talking for like 3 years. I mean, How can you do it for 3 years? Yeah, because I don't It's a me thing, not a him thing. I just I'm busy. And in my eyes, he is perfect. A great change from what I'm used to, but I need better. So, I'm not It's not clicking for me at all. Okay. Well, he obviously didn't pay for the car and he just let you have it and How long has he not paid for it? A long time. Cuz it takes It takes Usually it takes the rental car companies usually at least >> He did that to my car insurance, so I'm Now, if his address is correct on the insurance, you know, on the paperwork where he rented the car, if his address is correct, then yes. But I'm sure they've made multiple phone calls to him. Then they have to send a certified letter to whatever address that he provides. Now, if he provided a wrong address, then maybe not. But he obviously knows, you know what I'm saying? Like if I rent a car for a week and I don't pay for it. Can I use my FaceTime then? So he could see that I'm like what the Excuse my what the What my language Excuse my language. Yeah, you can follow. Is there anything illegal in the car? Um I have my gun in my bag, but it's not together. Okay, your gun in your bag, but it's not together. But it's in the back seat with the kids. The clip is not in the bag with the gun. It has nothing in the head. It's an empty gun. You have an empty gun. Okay. Do you have a permit to carry a gun? I got a permit. I've been summoned here. Scary. With their masks and all that. >> Oh, I'm I'm aware of curfew. So yeah, um I just had to protect me and the kids. I thought we didn't have >> it's a good idea to put it like in the back seat with the kids? It's not loaded. Okay. There's nothing in it. The clip is not in it. Where is it? In the front. What what good's the gun going to do behind your seat with the magazine up front with you? I know. I mean if you're going to protect yourself, I understand. I get it. We tell you all carry guns. We all carry guns. >> I didn't have it together for a purpose. I did So you you were thinking I'm going to keep the bullets case I needed it. And then I'm just going to throw the gun in the back with the kids. I mean no, the gun is in my bag. I just moved the bag because I have so much crap in my car. Anything else in there? No, there's medicine. pills We're not here Listen, we're not here to take you to jail for >> I did try to renew it last week. I called three different places. We're not We're not here to take people to jail for a tiny little bit of Now if we find freaking coke or we find freaking >> no, no, no. Xanax or we find freaking other things, then it's then it's a whole another thing. So we're going to check and see what else is in the car. You want to come over here and stand in the shade real quick and talk to this young guy. She deludes herself into thinking she's a protective parent while her reckless decision to bring a weapon onto school grounds is the real threat. Through a distorted sense of logic, she has blurred the line between keeping her child safe and putting them in direct danger. All right, well, we're not done quite done with her yet. So They have it. The problem is the car. They can take the car. I can give her another car to use. But But, the issue. She needs that you guys take the heart and be done with this guy. Well, there might be more issues than that. So. >> That's why I said that. >> going to we're going to wait till we find out what we have found in the car cuz yeah, we'll see. Did you find the rounds up here or not? I got the magazine up front. All right. This is up front. An loaded magazine. I got the firearm in the purse like she said. Right in front of one of the kids. Then that purse is smart. But. >> Okay, yeah. I'm going to check over there. Two kids were sitting in the back seat. This purse was sitting literally on the on the floor. Hey, we don't want to jack you up, but uh it'd be less of a headache if we just freaking inventory it and tow it. How long are you guys going to be here for? >> how long are we here? I mean, it takes tow trucks are supposed to get here within 30 minutes. So. Oh, you're not going to release it to me? I mean, we can. It's more of a hassle cuz we got to verify who the heck you are and what the heck's going on. And he said you get paid either way whether it gets towed or doesn't get towed or Yeah, I mean, this is I mean, um I mean, I was going to make a phone I can make a phone call right now. Just give me somebody. You got Yeah, it's up to you. I got I got We got to know this pretty soon. I can't We can't sit around here for like an hour, you know what I'm saying? So, Like how do I know you're not calling your best friend's next door neighbor and say, "Hey, do me a favor and tell him you're the freaking I mean, tell him you're the Enterprise guy." And like, you know what I'm saying? Like I don't know I mean, I don't know Do you want to give me the number? I don't know. I can't I I I don't There's somebody you know you want to do. Yeah, we have our own enforcement hotline so we can call and ask them. But, if it's some guy in freaking Cincinnati, Ohio, then he's not Really going to know what's going on. If you have stock in Enterprise and you're worried about saving the money, I mean, it's that's part of your job. I don't know what you what you do for that. I mean, obviously you recover cars for them, but I'm not trying to make it more difficult, but we just have to verify who you are. Not not that I I don't know I mean, I can get I guess I I don't know how can I help you verify that? Can you have them send me an email? Yeah, I I was typing it right now. From you? No, from San Filippo. Oh, yeah, I'm saying from them. From them, yeah. From some supervisor that has like an official email from them? Yeah. Yeah, that would that would work. As long as we have some kind of documentation that says, "Yes, we can release the car to you." Okay, I mean this this won't help, right? This is like the work we do. She deludes herself into thinking she's a protective parent, while her reckless decision to bring a weapon onto school grounds is the real threat. Through a distorted sense of logic, she has blurred the line between keeping her child safe and putting them in direct danger. Where are these kids? No, they're not Oh. You want me to put them in? I want to put them in the car. Are you good? Uh so who's this Tina lady to you? She's a boss, friend? That's my boss. Your boss? >> She just knows because I'm the kids' parent, she just knows what's going on. I tell her everything. >> That's good. She's like a mom. The vehicle's getting towed. What do you want to do with all the stuff in it? Can't stay in the vehicle. They're going to need football stuff, so The the whole car's full of crap. Can I get like a cart from in there and bring it out? >> Hey, can we use that cart? Yeah. Excuse me. Help. April. I need the cart. Would you mind taking all of her stuff, putting it somewhere? That whole car has got like a whole backseat full of like football stuff. Yeah, and the the Enterprise guy has actually showed up to pick up the car, take the car. And I have them Can we help them unload or no? Uh you can. Yeah. Can she help too? No, she's going to stay here. Okay. The whole trunk is full. So here's the deal. One, you can't be driving the car. Two, you can't be having the pills in there. Pills are against the law. Is it okay for Tina to take your purse? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fine. Okay. I travel with them for a reason. Do you have a relative to come pick up all your stuff and your kids? Why? Why can't I take them home? You're going to jail. Cuz you're going to jail. But for what? I didn't do anything. Well, you did. So the pills are not legal, and that's a felony. And so when you have felony pills Why are they not legal? I bought them from CVS. You can't just put them in a freaking >> I bought them Well, I got them from my grandpa. You can see the hole in my mouth. Yeah, the Yeah. >> I needed it. It was only a couple for a tooth. Yeah, but that that's against the law. You can't have those. And you obviously you can't even carry a gun while you're committing a felony by carrying pills. And driving a stolen vehicle. And driving a stolen vehicle. >> understand, I had no idea it was stolen. The pills are for my mouth. I cried. I just gave them You could see it. The good mother act crumbles as her arrogance hits a legal brick wall. In a desperate move, she clings to a ridiculous excuse about a tooth cavity to hide the dark truth about the oxycodone she's been concealing. >> honestly did it How many pills do you have? There's three oxy in there. That's the hole in my mouth. And it's in pain. And yeah. She had a pill. You can't have controlled substances. Yeah, possession of And carrying a gun while having controlled substances. >> told you the gun just because of where we live. I've been robbed here before or tried to. This guy pushed me And it was in the back seat with the kids, which is not good. >> bag. All right. Unloaded. Like a lot of Like a lot of It is. Okay, she's going to be a while, so Can I give the police your kids today? Can she release her children to me? I mean And I can call your mom and have your mom pick them up for me. I They don't need to come see all this. No, I I agree. I mean, you're you seem like a responsible adult, so if you're if you're good enough to take the children from her and she trusts you with the children, I mean, obviously I'm sure you've had background checks and you're not some crazy Yeah. Can I see your ID? I'm never going to done here. You can come back. I'm going to go get another car and some bags and stuff to make it easier to drive. Are you good with that? Kids going to her? Yes. Send me your mom's phone number, okay? All right, take your money or you want your money to come with you? Can you give it to my mom? Do I really look like I would do something wrong? It was an unloaded gun. I'm a single mother taking three kids. >> Well, unfortunately, lots of people don't look like they would do something wrong and accidents happen. >> I'm at a preschool. But, please, how can accidents happen? The gun is not loaded. It's an empty gun. First rule >> Well, lots of people get shot and they think that their gun's empty and they >> was empty. You guys The gun was empty. There was nothing in it. >> This time it was, but sometimes people put bullets in it. >> do that. First rule of gun safety I get that. That's That's not what was That's not what just happened. I'm not Listen, first rule of gun safety when you take the test the I'm not saying you Whatever test you took before you got a gun or whatever thing you read tells you you have to have your guns locked safe and secure when they're not being used. You can't just have a gun loose in a purse. Yeah, right now you remembered. Maybe one day you don't. And the trigger gets pulled by a a pen or a key. Now you have an accidental discharge in your car. Well, I'm I'm not saying I'm calling DCF over a gun. They're called anyway because of the situation, right? No, I'm not saying that. What I'm telling you is you can't have a gun in the backseat with kids. I I don't think you're understanding like I understand it was unloaded. >> I understand what you're saying. I do. I really do. But, lots of people even even law enforcement officers think their gun's unloaded and shoot themselves all the time. Well, you can go to jail. My gun's unsecured, I guess I'm not. So, I'm going to jail. You hear me? They told me I'm going to jail. Thanks a lot, kids at the preschool. Goodbye. Ultimately, she was taken to jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, use of a firearm during a felony, failure to return a leased vehicle, and child endangerment. If convicted, she faces up to 5 years in prison and fines of up to $5,000. Driving a stolen car with your child is risky enough, but this Gen Z mom-to-be decided to go all in on her luck with $5,000 worth of stolen lottery tickets. On March 28th, 2023 at a 7-Eleven, Destiny, a pregnant young woman and a new hire of only 2 weeks, decided to turn the checkout counter into her own personal casino. Instead of serving customers, she was busy gifting herself stolen lottery tickets. Let's see how this short-lived career came to an end. 39 to 31 Hello. Hello. Hey Destiny. Yeah, hey there. Excuse me, sir. Yes, sir. Are you Destiny? Yes. Can I Can you come talk to me for a second? All right, we'll go in the back. Have you run into him? Yes, sir. Okay. Uh so, I'm just going to wait for this other officer to come. Okay. All right, so you're Destiny? Yes. Can you confirm your date of birth for me? June 2nd, 2000. All right. So, do you have any reason why we we're here talking to you? No, sir. No reason at all? Okay. So, we've It's been brought to our attention um that on three d- three different occasions um that there are short some lottery tickets. No, sir. Okay. Um so, I'm going to read you your rights, okay? And then we'll go from there, okay? Okay. So, you have the right to remain silent and Destiny still tries her best to play the innocent employee hoping this is all just a big misunderstanding. But, the moment the officer begins reading her Miranda rights, that hope vanishes. It's the ultimate signal that things have become very very serious. So, do you have any any knowledge on what I'm talking about? Any missing lottery Yes, I yes. So, so what's going on? Like, some I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't take a lottery ticket. So, you're you're taking lottery tickets? But, I paid for I paid for some, but not all of them. You paid for some, but not all of them. Okay. Um how many would you say you've taken? Not a lot, cuz I've been paying for most of them. Okay. Um have you had any winners? Um not all the time. But, you've had some? Yeah, but it's most of them that I've done paid for. Like, I have receipts that I've paid for. You can even have my house receipts. Okay. So, on on on some of the tickets, you're scanning them and then you're So, you're scratching off the barcode at the bottom, scanning them, and then taking money out of the register. Not all of them. I do all of them. Yes. Okay. Um so, you don't know you don't know how many you've taken. Okay. Um is there a reason you're doing it? No, sir. Are you hurting for money? I mean, some of it, but I mean, I I know we all are. Times are tough, but You can be honest. We're We're not here to like yell at you or anything. We can be totally honest with you. We can be 100% honest. Just no real reason? No. Okay. Um how long have you been working here? Like 2 weeks. Oh, 2 weeks? Okay. And so, we have 3 dates in particular. Mhm. Does that sound right? I don't You don't know? No. Okay. Um so, there's there's a lot of tickets missing. I'm going to be honest with you. It's almost laughable how she insists she just owes money rather than admitting to stealing. Yet, the second the officer reads out the total amount missing, she goes dead silent. She knows her little game of lies has finally reached the end of the line. On the 22nd, the lottery register showing negative 20 over $2,300. Well, see, I know I never I never got that. Hold on. Hold on. I'm sorry. I misspoke. On the 22nd, So this is face value. I'm not talking about cash that you're taking out of the register. So the ticket the ticket value, okay? On the 22nd is over $1,200 worth of tickets. On the 23rd there's over $1,700 worth of tickets. And then yesterday there's over $2,300 worth For example, $50 per ticket. So that adds up that adds up. So I'm not talking about cash. So So that you said I stole over $1,200 worth of tickets. Basically, that's that's what I So there's $5,318 worth of tickets missing. And y'all said And they're all coming they're all coming They all like I stole all of them. So what I'm So what I'm saying is based on numbers provided during your shift, second shift between 2:00 and 10:00, these are the numbers missing. So it would be you. It is all me basically. So from what we're being told is you're the only you've been the only one here on second shift between 2:00 and 10:00. Is that correct? Yes, but And then there's the That's the amount showing missing for those 3 days. But I know I did not Wow, that is crazy. But you have you have taken tickets without paying for them. >> have not taken all of them. That amount I'm I'm I'm being real. I know I haven't for real. But you have taken tickets without paying for them, scratching them off, and cashing out, and keeping the change. >> Not all of Yes. I'm I understand you're saying not all of them, but I'm I'm asking you that is the case. You just don't know. You don't know how many tickets you've taken. You don't know how much cash you've taken. But you Okay. All right. Do you have any questions for me? I have questions for you. I'm just Buried too deep in her own mistakes, she's stunned as the walls of her delusion finally crumble. And when the cold handcuffs appear, the panic truly sets in. Not just for her, but for her 5-year-old child left waiting alone at daycare. So what I need what I need So So listen to me. Don't Don't pull away from me. Just wait. We'll explain everything. Stop. You're going to make it worse. We're going to add a resisting charges. Let me We will explain. Don't make this worse. Put your hands behind your back. Just give me a second and I will explain everything. How old is your child? Who's on the list? 39 at night. I want black female 10-15. >> [cough and clears throat] >> All right. So right now, you are being placed under arrest for It's a felony charge for the the dollar amount that was taken. Um So felony grand theft. That's what you're being charged with. Okay. Once you get down to the jail, once you get booked and processed, they will allow you to make a phone call. What time does your your daughter's school close? At 5:00? Okay. If I were to call the school, So that's what I'm going to ask you. Do you think if I call the school, Okay, there might not be any other reason I mean there might not be any like But he's trying to explain to you Are they allowed her to pick up the kid because she's not on the list? That's what I'm saying. If I call the school, they may allow it. Even with the officer on to help with her child, her primary fear is being exposed. Instead of showing remorse, she's busy telling her friend to keep her jail time a secret. For her, protecting her image seems far more important than facing the law. >> going to be a long conversation this is. This is what's happening. >> I understand. Come on. Come on. I got to Don't I'm doing this as a I'm doing this for a favor for you. I don't have to do this. Where you at? How far? Um okay, because you going to have to get Taliyah girl. They taking me to jail. Hurry up and come up here, please. Cuz I got to You at the light right by 7-Eleven? All right. By the time you I'm be walking out, you probably pulling up, hopefully. All right. All right. We'll go this way. I have a question. Do you have anything else you need? You have a purse or anything? Okay. Takiya, come to the car. Come to the car. What do you need? Huh? What do you need? We need >> got a baby. I understand that. Bro, who you want me to call? Are you calling me to >> Yeah. Okay, Destiny. What you need me to do? Okay, boo. I need you to one You want to pick Taliyah up from school. I know that. Okay. Um What's your mama's number? I don't know her number by heart. Jeri's number? Mom. Mom, okay. So, they going to take me to jail. So, I'm going to I'm going to call you when I get in the Mom, I'm going to tell you when I get to work. When I get I said when I get when I get to the jail house.
