So, you're gone for 35 to 36 minutes. The car, according to the medics, the car was cold. Inside the car was cold, and your child was freezing. >> Nothing is more sacred than a child's trust. Yet, some mothers treat that bond like a burden they can simply walk away from. >> My daughter left school before she could get here. >> I've been door dashing all night. I dozed off trying to make money. >> Really? Just stay up. Be honest. Because I don't want to overshoot. >> You got two kids. They look up to you. that makes smarter decisions. >> Today, we look behind the glass and into the dark corners where convenience outweighed a life and where the law finally had to answer for the unheard. >> Um, unfortunately, I have the duty that I have to take protective custody of your child right now. >> Okay. On December 17th, 2025, a 2-year-old baby wearing nothing but a diaper was left behind in a dangerous parking lot. When supervision is neglected like this, leaving a small child to face such grave risks, the police have to step in to protect that tiny life. And this is the heartbreaking truth behind it all. >> Ma'am, are you are you Chanel? Ma'am. Ma'am, hello. Hi, your son's okay. Can you tell us what's going on? >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Anything tell me what's going on? >> Ma'am. Ma'am. Ma'am, >> I don't need to talk to you guys. >> Yes, absolutely do. What? >> You don't even know who I am. >> Are you Chanel? >> No. >> Okay. So why you coming over here then? >> Ma'am, you're not going in this room. You need to tell us what's going on. >> Call three. >> Call three. Mom is uh tell us what's going on. Your son is okay. >> My daughter left before I could get here. >> Okay. >> Let's see what's happening. >> Okay. Just just tell my >> ma'am, can can you just talk to me here? What? So what? >> Ju just explain to me why why am I >> She left She left before I could get here, sir. >> My daughter left to school before she could get here. >> I've been door dashing all night. I dozed off trying to make money. >> Okay. >> What's your name? >> My name is Chanel. >> Okay. Is your last name Quintana? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> She called me She called me at 7:00. >> Okay. I miss her phone calls. >> I I got you. Just take a deep breath here. >> Instead of showing any real remorse, this woman immediately hides behind the struggling worker excuse. She even tries to point the finger at her own daughter. It's a sad sight. A mother who simply refuses to face the mess she created. >> Them to grab my son for me before I get here. And so that's what they're doing. They're holding my son for me. That way you guys wouldn't >> And you said your daughter was watching. >> They were sleeping. Yeah. So, we're in the room. >> What's your daughter's name? >> Does she got a phone number? >> She's a school, sir. >> No, I asked if she had a phone number. >> She has She has a number. >> I'm not calling her right now. That's not one of those goofy WhatsApp numbers. >> I love my son. I don't want to lose my son. >> I got So, uh, last night you were Door Dashing. What time did you start? >> Uh, I started around 9:00. My mom scanned her face and started door dashing. >> Okay. By 12, I was like, I want to keep door dashing, but I'm ready for bed. But I kept door dashing. >> Okay, I got you. So, you you started door dashing at 9. Your daughter was with the kid the whole time? >> Yeah, all night. >> Okay. And your daughter? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And how old is your >> Okay. So, your daughter said that >> she was leaving to go to school. >> Yeah. She's like, "Mom, where are you? I'm leaving. I'm like, >> and I told her, okay, I'm coming. I think I'm right. I'm almost there. I was I parked my uh I I pulled over and parked the car by uh North Avenue in Elmherst. >> Yeah. >> I She woke me up calling me telling me, "Mom, I'm about to leave. I got to go to school." And I said, "Okay, just tell to watch Logan for me till I get there. I should be no more than 20 minutes." >> Yeah. >> I came here as soon as I could, but I kept hitting traffic. >> Okay. So, I'm just going to be completely transparent with you here, okay? just because of what happened today. Um, unfortunately, I have the duty that I have to take protective custody of your child right now. >> Okay. The mother's reaction at the scene showed a clear struggle as she faced accusations of child neglect. Her explanations about the pressures of work just weren't enough to stop the legal gears already in motion. >> I I need you to listen. Okay. >> Ma'am, I understand. >> Ma'am. gentlemen. >> Ma'am, so what I need to do is I need to contact DCFS. Okay? It doesn't mean you're not getting the kid back, you know, later tonight in a week, whatever. But we're I I need you to I need you to to get it together right now. Okay? Cuz we got to talk a little bit more. >> No. >> Okay. Because what what happened today was unacceptable. >> Okay. It's like 30 35° out and >> Oh no. >> Your your child was roaming around in the parking lot and could have gotten run over by a car. My baby. I I have no choice. Okay. >> So, what what I'm going to have you do what I'm going to have you do is I'm going to have you come downstairs with me. Okay. >> No. I'm going to No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I I need to have a further conversation with you. >> In the meantime, what I am going to have you do is I'm going to have you sit in the back of my squad car. You're not going to handcuffs. I'm going to have you stay back there just while we Right. Right now, you are detained. You are not under arrest. You do some more followup. So, let let's go downstairs and you're going to turn to the right. We're going to go over my squad car on the other side. Okay. >> So, why Hey, real quick. Why were you running across the parking lot over there? Where's your car? >> My friend didn't want to get they don't want to be over here. What's worse is that her job actually allowed her to have her child right there with her. Yet, she chose to cast the baby aside. When she ran out of people to blame, she started acting like the victim, hoping we'd trade justice for pity. >> When you were door dashing, you weren't driving. We're going to go over this way. >> No, they were driving, but it's my mom. It's my mom's account. >> Okay. >> It's my mom's account cuz I don't have a bad >> Okay, I got you. So, real quick, just stand at the back of my car. >> Okay. Um, do you have anything in your pockets that >> Yeah, I have stuff in my pocket. >> What What do you got in there? >> Gum, nail stuff for nails. >> Okay. Do you have any weapons on you? Knives, anything like that? >> Sharp. >> What is that? >> It's like a nail thing for nails. >> Okay, I got you. >> So, you don't have any drugs? Nothing like that? Okay. >> I don't do drugs. >> Okay. All right. Come over on this side. Okay, I'm just going to have you >> Okay. >> Hey, you're not in handcuffs, so just chill out. Okay. Right now, you are detained, so I'm going to have you stay here and just relax. Okay. I don't deserve my baby. I don't deserve my baby. I don't deserve my baby. I don't deserve this baby. I'm a piece of [ __ ] They're going to take my baby. No, they're locking me up. >> She's putting on a grand performance of self-loathing now, trying to prove she still has a conscience. But don't be fooled. It's just a desperate attempt to manipulate her way out of a heavy sentence. >> Hold on. Don't say nothing. >> Okay. You got your phone on you? >> I do. >> I'll take that. >> What? I'm going to jail >> right now. Now you're under arrest. Okay. You're under arrest. >> But you're not telling me why >> you're under arrest for endangering the life of a child. >> But how? I But I told you my daughter was telling me she's taking people away. >> No, I wouldn't purposely leave him. I didn't purposely leave him. No, I didn't purposely leave him. No. NO. NO. NO. NO. I didn't leave him. I didn't purposely leave him. I love my son. >> What are you doing? >> I love my son. >> Okay. What are you doing right now? >> You're trying to You're trying to lock me up. Like, I don't love my son. I love my son. I would never leave him. >> Hey, you want to come over here real quick? >> Leave him. Why are you doing this? I told you what happened. >> Listen. Listen. You don't need to talk. You do not need to say anything. And you know what? Because >> I just don't understand. You told me to talk to me. Okay. So, I'm going to read your Miranda rightites. >> Why are you locking me? >> Do you understand each right? >> Listen, I'm not done. >> You told me you >> Once we get back to the PD, I'm going to ask you more questions. Okay? So, but until then, you don't need to say anything. Okay? >> Ultimately, she was booked on child endangerment charges. But here's the part that gets me. After a quick medical check, the baby was sent right back home with her that very same day. Now, that is a decision that has a lot of us wondering about that child's future. But honestly, even that mess is nothing compared to how this next mother just up and left her kid. On August 12th, 2022, officers in Georgia spotted a car sitting just a little too quiet. Behind those windows sat a mother drowning in a mess of her own making, where one bad choice after another was stripping away her future. Here's how it all unfolded. Okay. Well, maintenance has been watching on camera for about 20 minutes and they said that nobody got out of the car, so they were just >> concerned. I was making sure I had got everything. That's >> I got you. All right. Do you have your ID on you? >> Yeah. >> Here. Step over here. Step away from the car. Leave the stuff in the car. Leave it in. >> You want to get my ID? >> We'll We'll get your name. You step over here. Why are your pants down? >> My pants on and my is bloated. Okay. >> Go and step over here. Okay. >> I can guarantee that doing is not going to help your period. >> Step over here. >> So, what upstairs? Cuz my kids are upstairs. >> You're not free to leave. No. What is this stuff in? >> No. I said I was about to go. I didn't ask if I could go. I said I was about to go upstairs. >> So, what what is in the tin foil? it there. There was one um um >> if you got kids out there, why are you in the parking lot doing math or why are you in doing math in general? >> Really to stay up to be honest because it I don't want to oversleep for my children to go to school. >> You know, they make caffeine for that like energy drinks and soda and stuff like that. >> Yeah, I know. I know. I mean, there's not >> is like the the next like >> extreme, right? We're going to pat you down. Make sure you don't have anything in your pockets. >> So, you just been doing something because you got fresh residue on your pants. >> No, that's ashes from my cigarette. >> Okay. >> Is this right here? >> Huh? >> Is this >> No, that's >> What is this? >> I'm not. >> You don't know what's in your car? >> I'm not sure what that is. >> That's what I'm asking. You don't know what's in your car? I can figure it out. >> We'll figure it out. Just hang on to her for a second. You can take a seat. Actually, just detain her for now. >> Is it? >> To make a bad situation even worse, the discovery of illegal substances inside the car only complicated things further. It's a stark reminder of how poor personal choices can lead to a direct threat. Not just to a child's safety, but to the very right to raise them. Is this piss? >> Is that pee? >> No. >> What is that? >> It's fake pee. Okay. >> Oh, okay. That makes it better. >> I just died. >> Here you can pop a squat right on the hood of your car. How old are your kids? >> 15 and seven. >> Seven. >> 15. >> Okay. You think uh you should be doing that when you got two little ones, two young ones? you know, but I I really was just cuz I didn't have any money, so I really was just going to borrow some money from somebody and I came back. Yeah, I did do some So, I wouldn't go to sleep cuz I >> You got two kids. They look up to you. Got to make smarter decisions back. >> I just gave this lady a ride and she dropped it in my bag. >> Hey, hey, >> she dropped it in your bag. in your own purse. She dropped it in your purse. >> She dropped I'm telling you exactly. >> Okay. Before you answer any question, >> ma'am, you're under arrest. >> Before you answer any questions, we're making it clear that you are under arrest. >> We're going to read your rights. Okay. >> Why am I under arrest? >> Cuz you got three massive bags. >> Telling you where they came from. >> You have the right to remain silent and you very welcome, but use your right to stop talking. Understanding these, do you wish to speak out of attorney preference? >> Yes. >> Okay. So why do you have all these >> and do not feed me the be some lady just dropped it in your bag. >> She she because she lives in this and she go she was scared >> and she got out my car and she was like she d she she was like hold the screen and I was like what is it? She was like just stuff I just just hold it and I drove here and that's when you guys I didn't even get a chance to look at it yet. I didn't even know what >> you don't have you do. So you don't have to look at it to know what looks like. >> But I didn't know how how much. You said three massive bags. I didn't know how much it was. I know she >> it don't it don't matter. You still got kids. You don't even hold for or anything for anybody. >> I can't stay here. >> There's nobody here. >> In a desperate move to save her image, she spun a whole story about being set up. But this isn't a fight against the police. It's just a plain and simple attempt to outrun the reality of those serious drug charges. >> You make your own decisions. >> I just have to go to school tomorrow. >> Well, then I guess you shouldn't have been here. >> Smuggle some. >> I wasn't smuggling. >> Step that way. >> What? >> Away from the vehicle like that way. >> You also have a scale in your bag. If I wanted to, I can press I could press intent to distribute right now. He has scale, several baggies. All right, let's get her to a car. We'll bring a car down closer to where we can watch her. >> Is there any way I can make a phone call with my kids or anything? Figure it all out. >> I next step. What room are you staying in? Is anybody in there with your kids? >> No. >> How old are they? >> 15. >> Okay. Why are you leaving your kids alone in the middle of the night? >> I didn't That's why I'm saying I gave her that lady a ride to the store. She met somebody and when I took her back home, she got spooked and then I came right back. Um, she told me her name something. >> You gave a girl you don't know a ride. >> She's her name is L. She's just known the street as Mo. That's all. I mean, it doesn't that doesn't help you at all. >> She's in the back of my car. There's a ton of Do you want to bar her? She says >> Yes, I do. >> She says she has kids here. So, it may be one of those situations where we bar her starting tomorrow where she has time to get the kids and all that stuff. >> Well, I mean, I ain't going to hurt no kids, but that right there is cost for her time to come back here. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, however you feel we need to do it if she's got kids here. >> Okay. >> Okay. Uh, I'll call you whenever we do that. We can do it. We can do it. >> Trash and all, but they have my cell phone number. >> Okay. We can do it over the phone. >> Text you the other day. Perfect. Yeah. What happened? You got aation or what? No, she got um like seven ounces of in her car. >> What? >> She was using. That's your sister cousin. Cousin, >> your best friend. Okay. >> Well, she's under arrest. Um >> I'm sorry. I keep reaching. I'm sorry. I'm sorry about that. >> Did you call somebody for the kids? We're going to work on that. >> Once the drug evidence was laid out plain as day, she suddenly became all cooperative. It was a clear tactic to keep control over her kids. The fact that she'd rather trust some shady acquaintance over the legal system tells you everything you need to know about where her head was at. >> So, are you comfortable with him watching your kids or do you have anyone else that will um that can come and watch the kids? It's either that or defects. >> She's saying um you'll watch her kids. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Come. Come on. Just for a little bit. Okay. >> This is very crystallized. So, you'll get your phone, uh your wallet, but your keys. But if he's going to be watching the kids, he's got to have the keys, right? But you'll get the keys to your car. >> Oh, sorry. I'm just >> I know. I know. It's a respect thing, man. >> I appreciate it. >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. Jeez. >> Oh. Mhm. Give me two seconds. I'm going to weigh these before we do anything. >> How you feeling? Not that. >> Hey, you going to step that way just for a second? Just for two seconds. I'm >> sorry. Sorry. And >> you're okay with that, ma'am? >> Y'all need me? >> What? >> What's your phone number? >> Big old 8 g of >> me. Very, very positive. It is fresh and strong. >> Being so quick to hand her children off to a friend shows how far she's drifted from what really matters. For people in this life, getting cuffed is just a job hazard and the well-being of the kids. That's just an afterthought. >> 46 36 46 or 46 36 >> Wait, what? >> You're a great person. >> I don't honestly like me though, man. And it's kind of you going to be on Kale. >> No, it's not because it's 12:00. It's checkout time. >> Next time, don't give people rides and if they're going to say, "Can you hold something?" Check it and see what exactly they're giving you and if you can get in trouble for it. >> That's crazy. You can't even come to your car while you rent the room at You know what I'm saying? It'll be done with that. Won't do no talking about none of that [ __ ] >> What's up, man? You went to school in Athens? Nah, hold on. I've been here for a while now. >> Did you go to school here? >> Yeah. >> What's your name? >> Raheem. What? >> Oh, you >> arrested you before. >> You haven't? >> Yes, I have. >> You haven't. >> You never knew. >> You used to be in trouble. >> No, I did. >> Or somebody used to give your name. >> My brother. >> Handcuffs on anyway. >> Perfect. Okay, I do that. >> All right. Take that off. I know we told you before, but you are being placed under arrest. Okay. >> But we're going to switch cars, so you can hop on out. >> That's my bag. >> Do you want him to You want to take your bag with you or do you want him to have it? >> You want your phone? >> Your So your bag has your debit cards, your phone, and your car keys in it. >> You want your phone? >> You just want your phone and your car keys? Phone and car. >> I have everything else. phone and car keys. >> Just take the whole thing. >> Yeah, we'll go with the whole. We're just going to take the whole thing. >> What you want to do? It's up to you. >> It's up to you. Like >> there was some money in the bag, too. Like >> everything that was in the bag is in the bag. >> Thank you. >> You have things in the bag. I just want the phone. >> You only want to bring your phone. Oh, cool. There you go. Cool. Got your phone. Mad. >> I'm just going to do possession. I'm not doing intent. >> Yeah, I agree. >> I mean, you can do in the temple, but >> I car this one. >> I agree. >> In the end, she was hauled off on charges of possession of methamphetamine and schedule one controlled substances. Even with 8 g of meth and a digital scale in her possession, she walked away with a conditional release. Now, that is some serious mercy from the Athens justice system trying to save a family instead of just throwing away the key. She got three years of probation, a court order to finish rehab, and a $100 fine. And then we have another case, yet another example of the devastating fallout when someone's carelessness puts a child's life on the line. On March 18th, 2025, Alaska police were shaken to the core when they rescued a little angel left out in the freezing cold. When a mother chooses indifference over protection, a heartbreaking story starts to unfold. And this is what really went down at the scene. >> She is not here. I need her phone number. She called in to dispatch the mother. Can I get her number? Uh, let's see. Give me one second here. >> If I set this here for a second, is this yours? >> Never mind. I got her. >> I ain't going to leave. >> I've already spoke to them. >> Briefly. Briefly. We spoke over the phone. Okay. >> And you do the weight. >> Yep. Yep. Yep. Um, do you have an ID with you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can I see that, please? >> Yes, please do go warm up. >> U, the medics have your son. >> Okay. >> Um, I I don't know the whole, but I trust them. Okay. They're medics. Okay. Um, your son was I guess. >> Can you flash my >> Of course, preliminarily, this is just info that I've gotten so far, was that you nobody was here. The child was screaming. >> Screaming gone. >> What's that? >> Yeah, he awoken up when I was gone. Most likely. >> Most. Yeah, I would assume so. Right. They could not locate a parent or legal guardian at all. And they called the medics. The medics came. The child was cold. Freezing cold. The vehicle was freezing cold. I mean, that's I mean, he's your child, right? >> Yeah. >> I mean, that's dangerous, right? >> That is. So, I mean, under the circumstances, I I directed them to take emergency custody of the child and then it sounds like at some point somebody got a hold of you. Yeah. >> And and >> I came out and just >> So So I'm sorry. It's Lillian, right? >> Okay. Lillian, so tell me what why >> I know that was a dumb move. I know. >> I mean >> I know. I'm going to stand up to it. That was I don't know. Deep down, admitting her mistake is really just a calculated move to shut the investigation down. By calling herself stupid, she's hoping to dial back the charges. Trying to pass off a life-threatening choice is just a momentary lapse in judgment, all while fishing for sympathy. >> So, what is so important? Um, usually when I see this, it's because of drugs or alcohol or something like that, but what is more important than freezing to death in a car? >> Exactly. >> Okay. So, please walk me through if you would try and put yourself in my shoes for a second or I'm trying to put myself in your shoes. Like, was this where you were parked? >> And I just kind of It was going to go in and out. Like, it looked like it took 15 minutes. It took 15 minutes. Well, I'm going to be honest with you. I think Bobby pulled the video. Let's Let's check. She just emailed me the video or texted me the video. Let's look here with a datetime stamp. And then 853 is when you're walking out because I mean obviously you heard this commotion and >> 20 minutes. >> Let's do the math. 818 828 would be 10 minutes. 838 would be 20. 8.48 would be 30. 8.48 49 50 51 52 53. So, you did 36 minutes. Am I doing my math right? 48. >> About Yeah. I'll go along. That was a dumb move. >> I'm going to sign up right now. That was a long >> Okay. Um, have you had anything to drink tonight? Okay. You said I think you said you don't drink at all. Okay. I could smell I could smell the marijuana coming from the car. How long has it been since you smoked marijuana? >> Uh, has it been a few hours? Has it been Okay. Um, about how long? like 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours. What? >> About 6 hours. >> About 6 hours. Okay. >> Once she saw she was stuck, she went from defiant to completely submissive. That reckless decision of hers just proved she wasn't thinking straight. Her own arrogance put a life on the line. >> Uh, is English your first language? >> Okay. And do you know the alphabet? >> Yeah. >> Again, don't get offended. I have to ask. Do you know how to count from one to 100? >> One to 100? >> Yeah. I'm not asking you to do, but do you know how? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What I'd like you to do is tell me the letters in the alphabet without singing the song. Just from the letter E and stopping at the letter P. Just from E to P. >> E to P. >> E to P. E F G H I J L M N O P. >> Okay. Um, now I'd like you to start at the number 69 and count backwards and stop at the number 54. 69 backwards to 54. >> 69 68 67 66 65 64 63 62 61 60 what? >> To 54 >> 60 59 58 57 56 55 54 >> Okay. Now, can you do me a favor? Move your bangs out of your eyes. There you go. And then, can you close your eyes? This isn't a trick. I just want you to stand with your eyes closed. Stand as still as you can. Now, tilt your I know. Tilt your head back. There you go. Okay, you can open your eyes. I'm looking for eyelid tremors. I'm also looking for balance and coordination of which I don't think you're you're high right now. I don't think you're drunk or that those are the those are a few of the tests. Now, I have a whole bunch more I could do. I don't think we need to at this. >> She felt pretty good about herself since she wasn't shivering. But the truth was in the baby's temperature. Even after warming up, it was only 36° C, 96.8° F. That's serious hypothermia, folks. A little later and that child wouldn't have made it. explain that to me in layman's terms like is that the beginning of hypothermia or >> so that's that in record that was a record temperature so it's an actual core temperature >> okay >> so it wasn't so it's even though like when your skin is cold on the outside your inside temperature is what matters >> okay >> so um that temperature tells me that he was cold for a decent amount of time especially >> what was the temperature >> I haven't been down exactly upstairs but 96.98 >> 8 y >> I mean that after 30 minutes of in our care with us warming them up. >> Okay, >> there's much smarter people that do math to tell you exactly how long. He was dressing us with a little hoodie on and a jack knot. He was secured in a car seat. >> When I got there, the bystanders told me cuz you know for hypothermia or cold medicine like what's going on? Like there's this child in this car. So I walked over to the car. Car was off. Ambient air was cold. Very strong smell of >> marijuana. Yep. I can smell it. Yep, I can smell it. But with I mean cold enough that we like kind of got some heat packs and we wrapped him. We had him wrapped up pretty good. He's much more lively than he was. Obviously he's cold. He was >> you know he doesn't know us, but he's doing pretty good now. We've given him just a little bit of water, no food, but he's he wants the water. Like he's thirsty. >> Um >> but yeah, he's acting much better now. Uh the only assessment I did was the physical assessment and kind of palpated some stuff and we took that temperature. So, but he's been doing pretty good with us. Um, and I've almost got all my documentation done. >> That baby's temperature was the blow that finally broke her confidence. It was the moment she realized she couldn't control the game anymore. The price of her neglect had officially gone beyond her selfish calculations. >> There's a couple things that we need to discuss real quick. Um, like we had just discussed already, and I I don't have you in handcuffs right now or anything like that, okay? um because you've been cooperative with me this whole time. Um I'm going to explain if you have any questions for me. I'm going to explain as much as I can about the process. Okay. Um but I did have a couple of questions for you and because you know you're being charged with a crime, you're not free to leave. Um I need to read you Miranda rights or Miranda warnings. Okay, here's the thing. Um and I'm not trying to This is a serious matter, okay? And you know that and I don't and I'm not trying to downplay it but >> at the same time we are all human. >> I know >> we make mistakes. >> Correct. >> And I know I learned from it today. >> And that's that's that's the secret to life. It sounds like you've already learned the secret to life. Now none of us is perfect. We all make mistakes. What's important is that we recognize when we make the mistakes and we change and we don't make them again. Right. I canically say I've make big changes in my life. You know, I I was >> That's awesome. >> I used to have I used to be in trouble all the time, but you know, I don't do it no more. You know, >> right? >> I don't drink. I don't use >> How did you make that change? I I had made the choice first off the first step was going to treatment and then the treatment I packed the tool box and I used that tool box until I left treatment. >> Perfect. They gave you tools. >> You pack that toolbox and you use those tools. Right. >> Finally, she was hauled off to jail for firstdegree endangering the welfare of a child. In Alaska, that's 2 to 5 years and a fine up to $50,000. Social services is involved. Now, with her history and this incident, that child is likely headed to foster care or a relative. Now, we all feel for the victims, but this next child, well, they were a flatout nightmare for every officer on the scene. On January 11th, 2025, a rather bizarre 911 call brought officers face to face with Casey. Instead of a typical crime, they stumbled upon an emotional time bomb where pure naivity and a twisted sense of entitlement were just waiting to explode. >> What's What's going on? Tell me what's going on. Tell me what you need from me. Hey, can can you just sit up? Look at me. I want you to breathe with me. Okay. Just Just I just want you to get calm first so we could talk. Okay, that's >> I don't want my mom to bring me in. >> To bring you in where? >> I don't want her to bring me in the house. >> In the house. Is she home? Is there a friend that we can uh call to come and come and be with you? >> Call my mom. Can you call my mom? >> Yeah. This is your phone. I I don't know your mom's phone number. Hi, this is uh Officer Rodriguez with the Middle Sex Police Department. Is this This is Casey's mom. >> Hi. We're out here in front of your house with uh Casey. She's having an anxiety attack. Would you be able to come home? Oh, Connecticut. Your mom's in Connecticut. >> Okay. She She's going to call her sister cuz cuz your her mom is sick. So, she's going to call her sister to come and come over here. I just don't want to leave you home alone. Can you call a friend to come and be with you? >> I have no [ __ ] friend. No, >> it doesn't matter cuz if it happens this one time, right, it's you said it in my presence and it's on camera. Casey, >> you're dumb as hell. >> It's it's it's not my >> She flipped the switch from victim to manipulator the second her personal demands weren't met. That blatant disregard for the law stems from this delusion that everyone is there to serve her unconditionally. Suddenly, the police became nothing more than a punching bag for her tantrum. Mom, I'm actually Yo, I'm not trying to catch a charge. I'm not going to the [ __ ] hospital. >> There's no charges. >> So, I'm not going. >> There's no charges. >> I'm not going. Don't touch me. >> We're not going to allow you to hurt yourself. >> Me the off. >> Arrogance is a powerful thing. Casey actually believed she stood above any basic code of conduct. She tried to use her own life as a bargaining chip, forgetting that an officer's first priority is absolute safety. That little lapse in judgment led her straight to the consequences. >> I'm not doing nothing. >> You're walking away. Listen. I'm not doing it. >> You are not under arrest. You're in protective custody. >> EXACTLY. SO WHY ARE Y'ALL TOUCHING ME? >> To prevent you from running away and from hurting yourself. >> No, you're Ow. >> Okay. The ambulance is here. >> Are you going to >> Do you want us Do you want us to sit you up? >> You got me handcuffed. >> Yes. And you're in an uncomfortable position and I recognize that. Do you want us to sit you up and bring you to the steps? >> Go. What the >> All right. The moment she lost physical control of the situation, her bloated ego went into a full-blown meltdown. She kept trying to use logic to justify her behavior. But honey, a crime scene is never the place to try and haggle for justice. >> Whispering, doing all thating [ __ ] And you know what? You know, you know >> I can't make him do anything. I assure you. >> No. >> Do you want me to go in my >> Can you just look at the at Damus? The The hospital is >> I can'ting afford theing ambulance. >> You have to go. >> She even tried to weaponize a bathroom emergency to force the officers to compromise. It was a series of bizarre antics designed to put maximum psychological pressure on the police. But again, a crime scene just isn't the place for making deals. >> We will get your phone. >> We will get your phone. >> Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? >> Is it in your bag? Please don't do that. >> You You alreadying know this. You're up. You already know what the I've been going through. >> I I do know, but you know I can't cut it out. You know, it can't be any other way. >> Give me um You got a phone? >> Let me Hold on one second. You got You're going to follow? >> Hold on. >> We're going to hang out for now. >> You got to stop moving, though. If you just sit back, he'll let go of you. He'll let go of you if you stop moving. She said she doesn't mean it. >> She did say she did she doesn't mean it. Um, but obviously in in our presence, >> we're we're we're obligated. >> If you want to be some mad at someone, be mad at me. I the one who made the decision that you are going to the hospital. They're just transporting you. In the end, she was hauled off to jail to face charges of disorderly conduct and battery on an officer. On top of jail time and fines, Casey is looking at a mandatory mental health evaluation and likely a long stint of probation. Now, if you were that officer, would you have the patience to stay polite with someone calling you dumb from the very first minute? Let me know what you think. But all that arrogance is just a drop in the bucket compared to the tragic way this next family decided to clean house. On December 27th, 2025 in Fargo, a post Christmas reunion spiraled into a family tragedy when substances overrode reason. A veteran son, a man once defined by discipline, chose a path of pure aggression against his own father. >> Got a son here who's under the influence of something and wouldn't let me take him home. So, told him he better go peaceful. >> Hey, how's it going? I got my body cam on. What's going on today? We're >> all good. Um, we're I >> think we're about to get >> in the >> You Cody, does he live at this address? >> No, we live up in He's from North Dakota. I'm from up at Fargo, Morehead. >> Okay. And what's he doing over there? >> Visit my daughter and the grandkids. And somehow he uh found something to alter his state of mind. >> Okay. >> And I was going to try to drive him home, but he wouldn't fasten his feet seat belt. And then he wanted to take the key out of the ignition and slam it and park. So there's no way I could safely drive home. >> So you guys both drove in this vehicle. You were house passenger. He drove when we came. >> Okay. >> And he was supposed to drive home cuz he's generally a good driver. >> And this is family. >> Yes. My daughter. He got into something. And that's how he was last night. And we thought this morning he would be in better condition. >> Hey Cody, >> I have nothing to say. I'm all good. I I have uh >> No, please don't touch my stuff. >> You're good. >> Okay. Uh, fifth amendment. Please do not touch my stuff. Do not look in got >> that's different. I'm just trying to talk to you. >> He's not gonna everything up. Why the did you do this? >> Because I gave you a warning. I said sit in. >> We're not doing anything. We're not doing anything. >> I told you they're going to take you down so you can sober up because you >> No, we're not. >> You can't be here. Yeah. >> No, we're not. >> I'm afraid that's you. You don't have a choice. >> No, we're not doing anything >> right now. I'm your guardian. >> Cody, can you just talk to us for a second here? 100%. >> Turn around. >> Can Can we Can we step over here and talk or something? >> 100%. >> Are those shoes? >> Acting all high and mighty is just his way of masking how pathetic he feels now that his logic has crumbled. Admitting he's high was the final blow to his pride. Forcing him to blame the whole world just to avoid the cold, hard truth of his own mess. >> Threw my phone or something. >> Did you have something to drink last night or something? >> Oh, yeah. I did. >> Cuz I could tell you're kind of appear intoxicated. You feel like you still are under the influence of something. Okay. Just alcohol. >> Yep. I did. >> And then that's causing an issue between you and the family here. Is that what the problem is? So, you got to understand, right? His concern is he doesn't want you in behind the wheel. And I guess when you guys started driving, >> I'm not going to touch you. >> No, you're fine. You're like you're like stepping backwards. So, >> no, I'm not. >> Go ahead. You close your door. You're fine. >> N was security forces. We're We're all good, dude. >> Okay. >> We'll end up crashing because he grabbed the steering wheel if you're trying to put it in park or whatever. You already did that here. I couldn't even leave. I've had enough. >> You can talk right here. What are you going to tell me? >> Dude, >> I don't have time for this. You're not yourself. So, >> I didn't do [ __ ] >> When my daughter doesn't want you around their kids in this state of mind, that's what you did. >> Can I see your gloves? >> That's your gloves. >> Okay. >> What are you stalling for? >> Can I see the other ones? >> The other what? >> Your other hands? >> No. There you go. >> Nope. the other. >> There you go. >> Okay. But >> there you go. >> That's my phone. >> Yes, it is. I told you I needed that to find my way home because I don't have GPS on my phone. All I have is flip phone. Remember? >> Okay. But I need that >> to do what? >> To stay here. >> You're not staying here. >> Okay. >> Does not want you here. >> I don't want you here. >> So, my partner just went and talked to them. They want you banned from their their residence now. So, >> okay. >> So, we got to Hold up. Cody, stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. We need to find a We need to find a solution here. >> Yep. Listen. >> No, you need to listen. I'm trying to talk to you, but you're not talking. You're not listening. >> Go ahead. >> We need to find a solution. What is the solution here? Because they don't want you here anymore. >> My phone's right. >> He's concerned about you and then you guys were trying to drive and then you started throwing [ __ ] around. >> No. >> Cody is using a tossed phone as a shield, trying to paint his father as the villain to dodge the heat for his reckless driving on the highway. Even with an eviction notice staring him in the face and panic setting in, he's still stubbornly clinging to his victim act. >> Your opinion? >> I could. >> Can you sit down in the car and just act normal and not try and grab the gear shifter or do anything while he's driving? >> No, I could go sit in the basement. >> They don't want you in the house. They don't want you in there. >> Give me my phone. >> For what? What are you going to do with it? Lindsay had it already with the GPS in there so I could drive home and now it's shut off. So >> I'll drive home. Yeah, you'll drive home. >> You can't drive a vehicle. >> Maybe I should let you drive and then they have a reason to arrest you. >> Good. You guys are >> what? >> We're just trying to come to a conclusion where can you just be be civil with Cuz this is your father, right? >> Yeah. 100%. >> Can you be civil and just sit in the car so he could take you somewhere else? >> No. I'm I'm >> They don't want you here. So, you're going to be trespassed from here. Do you understand that? So, you're not allowed to be here. So, you need to leave. >> It's like a restraining order, Cody. They don't want you on their property because you're this whole situation is just getting blown up for no reason. >> So, that being said, you don't leave, then you'll get set for trespassing. So, I'm going to go >> What do you want? I'm going to go do this. What do you want to do? >> Hey, Cody, you were just >> Don't touch me. >> Cody, no one's touching me. >> Don't touch me, >> Cody. He's He's fine. He's fine. >> I'm going to >> Cody, >> can I reverse this back? >> We can't, dude. >> Don't touch me. >> No one's touching you. You're having a civil conversation. What happened? >> What do you want? >> I want you to sit in the passenger seat. No, I'm not going to cuz I'm not going to get aing DUI. >> The passenger seat. >> I'm not driving. >> No, I'm driving. >> I'm not. Yeah, you have the keys. >> Yeah. So, >> the passenger seat. He said the passenger seat. >> I'm not driving. >> Come on. >> No. >> Don't touch me. You're driving. >> Okay. I'll show the driver seat. >> Reverse it. Then >> you come around the other side. >> Cody, can you can you get in the seat? You guys have to leave. >> No one's touching you. What are you talking about? >> His bruised ego has turned into blind stubbornness. ignoring his family's pleas for him to just leave. He's disregarding every medical and legal risk just to protect this little delusion of safety he's built. When common sense leaves the building, all that's left is recklessness. >> Your family's concerned they don't want you here cuz you're acting up. You're trying to do all this crazy [ __ ] Go get in the passenger seat so your dad can drive you home. What's your passcode for your dad so he could just GPS? >> What's your password? >> Don't touch my phone. >> He just wants the GPS. >> Don't touch my phone. >> I have your phone. >> Don't touch my phone. Don't touch it. >> Turn it on. Turn it on so I can get the GPS to know how to go home. >> No. Put the keys in. >> Just don't touch anything. >> We already went through this. >> Put the keys in. >> Put your seat belt on. Put your seat till you put your seat belt on. >> Cody, you need to listen, dude. Put your seat belt on. He's going to drive you, but he needs to know the math. >> Okay. Put your seat belt on. >> Turn it. >> No. Not till the seat belt's on. >> Start it. >> If you don't follow what I tell you here, you're sure as heck ain't going to be doing it when I'm going >> Sure. >> 70 mi down the highway. >> Start the truck. >> You got that paperwork done. Put the keys in and start the truck. >> Put your seat belt. As soon as this started seat belt goes on, I'm shutting it off again. >> Got it. >> There you go. >> Yeah. >> Can you give your dad the GPS so he knows where he's going? >> Nope. >> Cody, he needs the GPS. >> No, we're not. >> Okay. How do I How do I get home then? >> Here's our trespass notice. Okay. You're not allowed to be here. >> Can you read that to me? >> No, you need to leave the property. >> I can't read it. >> No, that's right. So, you're supposed to be on the way home. Okay. >> Well, drive. >> Okay. You got the key. >> If you're prior military, dude, why are you acting like this? I'm prior military. You know, you shouldn't be behaving like this. He's your [ __ ] dad, dude. >> I know. I >> So, give it So, put the key back in there and give him the GPS. Stop acting like this. Start the GPS for your dad. >> Slap in so I can find my way home. >> Talk about being a service member, dude. Act like one. Just start the GPS. Cody, come on. >> Cody, at this point, man, you are trespassing. Back to bed. If you refuse to get off this property, you will be cited for trespassing. >> You can't be here. >> After that, you will be taken to >> This is a restraining order. You cannot be here. >> I gave you a >> I handed you stuff. >> Then why are you standing there instead of sitting >> who the was end up with? We have >> You can stay here and I'll drive home. >> With his veteran's honor and tatters, Cody decides to just trash his own image to let his aggression run wild. refusing to put on a seat belt. That's the end of any self-discipline he had left. He's got nothing left to lose now but his own bitter rage. >> You never know. >> You got to go back over there. >> No, do not. You're trespassing this property. You've already been >> You cannot You cannot block me. >> You're not allowed to go. You cannot block me. Do not touch me. You want a lawsuit, dude? Do you want a lawsuit? >> Relax. You got >> Let go of me right now. >> Stay over here. Come on. Let Let go of me, dude. >> Stay over there, >> dude. There's a literally >> sweet. >> All right, I'm going this way. >> There's a longer process. >> Cody, you're going to get charged with two different things today. Okay. >> No, I'm not going to get charged with anything. >> No, that's why you're at the jail. >> Nope. Nothing. >> So, you're getting charged with trespass. Okay. >> Nope. So you'll have a court date of January 15th, 9 in the morning, law center here in Bloomington. >> Zero. >> You're also going to get charged with resisting or obstructing a police officer. That same court January 15th in the morning. Believe it or not, you need to put your hand up here >> so you can take the other handcuff off you and get processed so you can get released. Now put your hand up. >> Dude, I already did this when I was in the military. >> This isn't the military. >> Stop breaking my wrist. >> I'm not. >> Stop. >> I'm not. >> Okay. I'm not release. >> No. No. No. No. No. No. No. Stop. No. No. No. I'm tell I'm telling you this is not what >> Dude, I'm Dude, I'm telling you, >> dude. I was just telling you to >> Are you listening to me? You >> I told you I'm not even doing anything. >> Listen, I'm not even tensioning. >> Just relax. >> Don't touch my chain. Don't even touch my chain. >> In the end, he was hauled off to jail on charges of criminal trespass and obstruction of justice. If convicted, he's looking at a $2,000 fine and could be barred from his daughter's home for a long, long time, leaving a family rift that might never be mended. One brat is a handful, but a whole family losing it on a plane. Now that's a real disaster. On June 27th, 2023, at the Orlando airport, a canceled flight sparked a total meltdown. In the middle of all that exhaustion, one man decided to use arrogance as his weapon, turning a shared frustration into a scandalous confrontation. >> No. So, I told I'm going to have Lance come over and I've already told everybody I'm like people that keep doing this stuff to start trespassing people out of here or moving them out because they're like pushing on the plexig I know they're upset, but they're like pushing on the plexiglass. This big guy right here is like in this lady's face like this. I'm like, we're not going to sit here and play this game for an hour. If you guys can't control yourselves one at a time, you'll be trespassed in the airport. That's it. >> Right. And unfortunately, they need to put their food down and not >> Well, they're they're trying, but these people are like I mean, they're screaming at me, telling me all kind of crazy stuff back there, too. So, >> give them flight. >> Yes. But and they're trying to rebook them. But the only option is the these people the only flight that's going out is not tomorrow. It's the next day. >> Right. So, they're upset, understandably so. But the only solution that Spirit can give them is the manager saying, "We can only rebook you. We can't we can't refund you. Can't do whatever." Like, "Maybe you can do corporate." >> I don't know. Just from what I understand, if a flight is canled, they're supposed to reun. >> Yeah, I understand the frustration, but the man there's like three managers back there and they're like, "Listen, all we're doing is we can rebook your flight, but people are like, "I want my money. I want this on top of that." Right. And I understand that. No. >> Hey, so when when uh somebody from Landide comes over, just let them know we're going to start like Can you ask them out? >> Are we closing this whole out? That's it. reached by security. Everybody right here listen the counters the counters are closed for right now. Okay. The counters are closed now. The counters are closed for now. >> Oh, I'm glad they're closed now. >> A major lapse in judgment made him see the police as nothing more than airline staff. When the law didn't come with a side of ticket solving, he took it as a personal betrayal, trying to demand his rights through a display of pointless aggression. >> Listen, touch me. Listen, everybody's everybody can't act right and I'll be on my way. >> We're closed now for temporary temporary for now. >> They're not doing anything. And I'll be on my way. >> Don't touch me, bro. Keep your hands. Don't >> put your hands in your mouth, >> [ __ ] [ __ ] choking me out. >> Hey, get this dude off of me, man. >> You just caught that [ __ ] boy. >> Get this dude off of me, man. >> Now you got a place to stay tonight. >> Chicken counter is where you're at. Don't worry. >> I'm not fighting y'all. >> [ __ ] >> Now I got a [ __ ] PLACE TO STAY. >> I can't limp on one foot. >> My leg is broken, dude. >> My leg is broken. >> I don't know why. How How you trying to push me? My leg is broken. Y'all got to get a gurnie or something over here. My leg is broke. Holy [ __ ] All right. All right. Yeah. Yeah. You guys good? >> Hey, get my breath for like 30 seconds. You choke me up. >> Hey, my we one time complaining of a broken leg. Okay. I don't want to leave without >> I'm begging you to let me go. >> Let her go, man. My kid, my son over there, your team, >> man, y'all got to know. Thank you. 216 3708342 me. I have a disability. She strong ME. I HOPE Y'ALL GOT the wrong camera. She took me in her. >> Yes, she did. Walk her out. >> Yes, she did. Y'all had it on camera. Thank you. Both husband and wife were desperately clawing for the control they'd already lost. While the husband refused to be backed down, the wife jumped in to defend her partner, regardless of what the law said. It was a case of blind complicity that pushed them both straight into a deep hole of trouble. >> Oh, no. He's catching he's catching more than that. More than the battery. >> I just saw when I was on trying to get him off, I saw you were on it. I couldn't see. He No, he had he had like raised my throat and I was like I was like out like I couldn't breathe at all. I'm like black out. >> Yeah. So I was I was blacking out for a second. I was like [ __ ] I was I was swinging. I couldn't get anything around. >> Yeah, we got cars here. >> He needs broke his leg. We just have it's just her and him. I think 10:15 went to the office to the kids are probably sitting outside the office. >> So originally I push his hands away. >> Well, I saw I was standing there and I saw him. All I was people in front of me. I had to push him out of the way cuz I saw him do that >> and then it was just you were all over. >> Well, he he was doing this. >> He was he was doing this with and he was doing this and I was like, "Bro." And I pushed his hand away. He's like, "Don't [ __ ] touch me." And he hit me and I was like, "Bro, do not do that." I was like, "You need to step away right now." And I put my hand like this and he [ __ ] hit my hand. He pushed me and then we just went down. >> Oh yeah. But >> she was on top of me pulling her up. Yeah. It was crazy. >> I'm trying to pull hand. >> Yeah. >> Once the aggression stopped working, he flipped the script and played the victim to bargain with justice. However, the medical team's report stripped away his little performance of manipulation. You see, the truth just can't be hidden behind a cheap act. >> This lady said like, "This guy's trying to grab your gun or something, Brandy." >> Oh, he choke he he made me pass out. >> Oh, jeez.
