you're going to jail reference what listen you pushed a pregnant person at the Dollar General the other the day I never pushed anybody Thursday January 2nd 2025 Flagler County Florida police receive a call from a Dollar General Store on Market Avenue reporting a robbery and an alleged assault officers head to the location to take statements and gather necessary information to identify the perpetrator I'm Tyler and this is your daily dose of crime hello you have a second somebody can cover you or we yeah all right cool all right so what happened um well I got called up front because I guess she was walking out with with a lighter with other items and so I just came up and sorry this I'm going to put so she's been here before she's always up to no good doing stuff but usually we don't call the cops because they don't get to her in time and it doesn't make a differ difference but so she comes she comes back in by the time I come up front and she's trying to pay for the light and I'm like whatever I'm just going to let her pay for it so she can go she doesn't have any money for it she's like digging around and then she's like can I just get a cheaper one I'm like fine and really I'm just trying to get her out yeah so she grabs another one and she's trying to give me like change and I'm telling her like this is not enough to cover the lighter and she's like well didn't I give you change and didn't I give you this give you that and she's just like skits it out or whatever and I was like you didn't give me enough and um so I'm walking over there towards the lighters with her um she's trying to walk out with it past me and I was like you're not leaving with the lighter and then she just puts her hands on me and then goes out and she like pushes you out of the way okay do you have video of that by chance or anybody can access it um I can see okay are you the manager yeah okay it seems that a woman who frequents the store has been causing problems and is involved once again but this time however the consequences could have been so much worse the altercation began over a simple lighter when the woman refused to pay for it in an attempt to flee she pushed one of the employees who had tried to stop her and this was not the first incident with the woman and employees are getting fed up with her behavior but what will the police do about it yeah before I came here I mean we were relatively close I looked all over the you know Plaza Public's area kind of thing prob do you know her name by chance I don't but she comes in and she's always trying to return stuff and she and I'm like sure she's just stealing it and then trying to return it she tries to get beer and cigarettes all the time I got to go back a little further she's like a blonde wig I haven't seen her in a while like she hasn't been in here in a while she's a white lady yeah she's white she older like what what um she's can't be more than 40 I don't think so this is her she had already went outside mhm did you just want to like see what she looks like uh just the if possible I could see her like pushing you okay but yeah both see what she looks like and also that and what I'll do is if is there any way that this could be emailed to me like snipped I don't really know not I can record it on I'll get my uh camera record it and I was I was asking him like cuz she had taken it out of the packaging over here cuz it didn't have a barcode on it yeah I don't know what she's trying to do here and whoever called um said that are you pregnant yeah okay how many how far along eight months oh my goodness yeah do you want to pursue charges honestly I wouldn't have even called the other lady was being a little more aggressive than me but I mean to be fair she shouldn't be doing stuff like that so but it's totally up to you yeah we can okay just cuz I feel like she needs to some she's crazy yeah is this her this is her here yeah so she's just grabbing and touching I'm telling her and she's like I want this one instead and I'm like okay that's fine like I don't care like just give me the change and then at that point she's like didn't I give you some money already and I'm like you didn't yeah but she didn't actually make it outside with any merchandise no she did oh she did is it gone gone now like she took it she took it I mean it's just a lighter it's not a big deal but at the same time like you just keep letting people get away with it they're just going to keep coming in and doing it and how much was that lighter like two bucks maybe maybe $2 she didn't have enough for the lighter and I said and I had the lighter in my hand and I said you're not taking it unless you give me the rest of the amount and then she runs over there grabs another one and is like well I'm just taking it the victim is 8 months pregnant which escalates the situation security cameras capture the scene but the woman's face and identity are hard to make out due to her wig officers will have to investigate further to obtain more information and determine the woman's identity the lady said $144 and she gave her $130 or something like that and the lady the the C the employee said you you didn't give me enough and she's like here and she like threw a penny or a dime I don't know what it was and she said I'll just and steal it so the lady goes down and the the employee goes out and she said you're not you're not leaving yeah and she's standing there and the lady you know as she's going she's pushing her and then she open hand like pushed her so that's when I went out and I said how dare you put your hands on a pregnant woman yeah for a lighter you [ __ ] backhead I did I I I was so livid and um I said over a lighter did she take off towards like Town Center or something well she went behind so oh I see okay yeah so I don't know if she like I tried to look in the woods like there was some balloons back there but I didn't we could not find her but I'm sending out like an attempt to locate and everything like that she had Sil bike like yeah it looked like a pricey bike you know um a mountain style type bike beach cruiser what uh a bigger one not like a BMX or nothing no no no definitely like a high you know High style but she had something of her face looked like she maybe had a wig on yeah um some I guess she the manager the lady she pushed said that she comes in often and like does this kind of all the time and like returns stuff or tries to return cigarettes yeah yeah she was definitely on something right yeah she did have Arizona um can I don't know what was in it but she did have that and of our lighter like well for your I don't know but I was I was Furious no I get it and that's you know and luckily you know she wants to pursue charges so that's what we're doing yeah as soon as I identify her but you know to go through this process first right um you know basically a little synopsis of what you told me okay you know it could be brief your basic information up top okay and then right there okay if you could okay I'll wait for you want to take sides up to you one of the witnesses testifies and her story coincides with that of the victim some shots are recorded by the cameras but this time police have a brand new piece of information the woman when leaving got on a silver motorcycle and the direction she was heading in can be recorded by cameras to find her location officers are reviewing the cameras to quickly go to the address of the aggressor but nothing assures them they will be able to find her [Music] easily Sheriff's Office hello how you doing you mind if I talk to you for a minute well I need to talk to you for a second ma'am I need to talk to you for a second okay I want to talk about were you at the Dollar General earlier today no no no can you tell me what happened there you don't know what I'm talking about no sure okay I went and got some food that's to you went and got some food yes where'd you get a where'd you get food at U at Publix at Publix yes and you didn't go to the do Dollar General at all all right um so listen we have we have video footage of you in the Dollar General okay so I'm just trying to get your side of story on things obviously you were there so what what happened that's not what I said why are you changing the story BR come on I woke up I just told you I woke up okay put on my mouth um and and I just walked out of public and public I went Street okay were you riding your bike I just oh you walk upon arriving at the suspected woman's home an individual answers the door but refuses to give a statement what she says doesn't match the facts and her behavior becomes highly suspicious especially considering that she refuses to leave her house and her story seems to be inconsistent I know you before you said you ride your bike all the way to Daytona so oh yeah I usually ride my uh P bike which is upside down right now it's upside down I mean like I'm fixing a wheel on it but um it's actually at the sorry it's is see you do swap of the tire I'm to sorry I'm just so tired you don't have your bike here I got my bike you do I thought you said it was upside down somewhere no it's upside down I took off the tire I have the tires oh is it in the back do you mind if I just look at it I can't hear you so you weren't you weren't at the Dollar General at all you didn't go there to get a lighter no know okay what time was that but it took me about me about an hour to an hour and yeah do you remember what time you went there was it this morning just wash my face yeah were you wearing that that you have on um no no I we um I just wor great pants and uh some like what you what top did you have on I don't remember you don't remember were you wearing your wig is there anything else you want talk were you wearing your wig no no okay all right after several attempts the officers give up they can't force her to leave the house much less to testify if they don't have the necessary data to prove that it really is her or coincides with the description of the suspect since the woman isn't where ing a wig and they can't see if her motorcycle matches that one in the recordings police will have to continue with their investigation what nobody expected was what would be found only a few days later hey Maria hello hey we had um some car brakes in the area throughout the night you kiding me no what no you guys is like the fif time you guys come over to my house listen what I'm saying is we've had some car breaks in the area throughout the night and we noticed your car was unlocked we want to make sure nobody is was trying to get into your car no it's fine it's fine okay do you want to check your car to make sure why would I want to Che my car to make sure nobody broke into it call what is the purpose of your arrival two two houses down there's somebody's car they got broken into we're just making sure every neighbor around hasn't got anything taken out of their vehicle uh no I don't we just want to make sure so we can document it appropriately yeah no no no I just want to get this car out of here um I don't know maybe is it your car or um it's mine in my guess okay we just want to make sure well it's unlocked so we just want to make sure nobody was trying to it's not even running it's I don't know something's wrong with the radiator or um what do you call it uh it's like a one system I no the uh the windows yeah it's fine the windows broken it is yeah my dad's supposed to pick it up or maybe I don't know what he's going to do there's a bunch of stuff in the don't worry about it but thank you don't worry about it you sure I'm positive thank you I got to get back to work have a nice day do you happen to have any cameras I wanted you over here so I could I thought you were going to grab her that's I was trying to I trying to lure her out I needed to come out further I wasn't she went in there Monday January 6 2025 5 days after the robbery officers returned to the woman's house but not for anything related to the case but for an assault in the neighborhood that happened the night before in one of the houses the woman once again reacted defensively in a very suspicious way but as soon as officers saw her leave the house they were able to verify that she was wearing the same wig as the woman from the Dollar General the only evidence that officers were missing was to confirm that it was actually her now the officers had to be careful in order to to be able to arrest her Maria Maria stop for a second come here what do I need what do you need I need to tell listen okay I don't need to stop for you I need to work you do okay listen to me what do you want all right so right that I never aggravated somebody that's up to the never do that that's up to the judge to determine the judge put your feet in oh my God are you kidding me now what's that um I would never hurt anybody I would never start you don't have to hurt anybody it's the pushing okay I I never to get out of the store I I never no no no I was just trying video I'm saying I swear to God I swear on my life I would never push her I would never do that she um honestly I gave her the money and I think I was 10 cent short um can you grab my cell phone please can I see your Miranda card please real quick though I'm just going to read you your Mir Miranda rights okay Maria I'm Deputy CL of the flager County Sheriff's Office you have the right to remain silent anything you say can be used against you in court you have the right to talk to your lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions or have him with you during questioning if you cannot afford a lawyer W be appointed before you for any question if you wish with with these rights of Mind are you willing to talk to me okay yeah yeah the woman gave her side of the story and it coincided with the facts but clearly softens what really happened saying that she had paid and that the victim had misinterpreted her to begin with the amount she says she paid was not the value of the lighter so there was already an irregularity in her story where's the keys at first um uh I'm not sure uh I just I don't remember can we go through it to check no I rather not all right well then you're not going to be able to get your keys I don't know what to tell you um uh the keys are fine just uh it will be locked uh so don't bother yeah just put that back and lock your door uh no I need that I need my cell phone we're not bringing the whole back back okay oh so hot so cuz they're going to search it at the jail if we bring it just so you know um there's I just want my cell phone that's where on the dresser I'm in the middle of like you want me to lock the door or leave it unlocked um I really don't care uh just leave it unlocked that uh yeah we'll get the cell phone so listen I'll talk to you when you so you did go to the Dollar General that day I was on the second I don't I don't remember when it was I don't but you remember getting a lighter and stuff like that um I don't know I don't uh I remember yeah I remember being for lighter yeah yeah but I'm not sure what the date was for it okay no problem but it was during the day and then you got out of the were you riding your bicycle then I don't uh I don't recall I don't know but so when you were leaving the store did you push anyone or no I really didn't okay did anybody get in front of you or anything like that when you trying to leave um I can't believe that I would never do that I would never do that to somebody I would never push or hurt somebody so what happened when she got in front of you I think honestly I'm not sure why why they don't like me I paid my intention was completely right I think I dropped 10 cents okay uh and I tried to pick it up and maybe she thought that I was doing something wrong is this your cell phone and yes please all right we'll bring it with us okay um and uh yeah I don't know honestly did you guys see me pick up to 10 cents I I don't on the video listen I saw you bending down it was I didn't really see the full like other than what I needed to see you know what I mean so what I'm trying to ask you thought that I wasn't paying and my attention was so when she got in front of you what happened then did how you get out she blocking you know just kind of just pushing me then then how did you get out of the the store if she was blocking you uh kind of just I don't know just kind of you didn't touch her at all no didn't touch her not at all I was my my my intention was to go outside okay uh I you know I'm not sure why she was bling get do that to BU the entrance and not CER I guess she was in fear that you're taking the lighter or whatever but again I I I can't speak on what she did or what anything like that so right now we're going to be going down to the jail um and if you have any other questions or anything you can ask me on the way if you want to argue anything you can do that in the judge of first appearance Hearing in the morning okay I get you we'll talk on the way okay we're going to start driving thanks bro I'm going to go right up this trespass while I'm there again do I even need to have it necessarily signed I guess for our end but I'll go later you can go back and get a sign that's what I'll do yeah Maria grv age 34 has been transferred to the Barry Hall Sheriff's Detention Center and is being held on a $6,000 bond for charges of aggravated assault on a pregnant woman shoplifting and petty theft
