Kids are fixing to have beat because I'm the only one protecting them. >> I'm sorry. >> Get up. >> Kill you right now. Stop. Do you understand that? >> If you think a bad mom is just a hot temper. Watch how one minute of losing it can wreck a kid's whole life. >> Never harm my daughter. >> Please don't never show you something. Okay. >> What is this? Listen, I'm giving you 5 seconds. If you don't, you're going to jail. >> These cases hit back to back like a blade. Arguing with the law turns into charges. Drunk turns into disaster. Shoplifting turns into cuffs. On October 21st, 2025, a domestic violence call brought officers to a home in Palotka, Florida. What started as a dispute over who had the right to stay there quickly peeled back layers of smug self-certainty, a sense of entitlement, and [music] the moment a so-called moral mask finally cracked. >> I'm dealing with. >> He said he owns this house with his >> I know it's your grandpa's house, right? >> My grandfather me and my mother in the leaks cuz he's not that much longer. He's actually in the hospital right now. Uh, and but he's put me and my mother on their sleeves seven months ago. >> You can get however you want. If you need to lift that window up, push the AC unit in unit. >> I'm not going to do that because breaking [ __ ] >> All I'm saying if I mean there's ways to get out without breaking. You have four ACs. >> But getting in the kids face, yelling at them, those are kind of things we don't do, especially to our children. But when she told them that my son's left puberties right around the floor. So his body is already starting for the testosterone blowed up at me while I was literally on the phone loose the dispatcher and like dude I regret this. I'm like literally on the phone look go to you alone and then got more and more of the argument. >> I would just go somewhere else tonight. Do you have other places to go? But you need your house. >> Here's the thing. You know what I mean? I get I get I get what you're saying. >> At what point is this going to >> benefit you? That's the thing. >> I'm waiting on my sister to show up because my kids were with my sister and if I can get my kids to leave the house, >> then I will leave the house, too. >> You think your kids will leave that? Is that boy there yours? >> Yeah. >> Your son? >> They're both mine. >> They're both yours. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Want to make things better? >> Yeah. because they love their cousins more than they love me and their mom. >> It's play time when they get to go. So, you know what I mean? So, >> I see. >> Which again, I'm not going to force him. I'm not going to do any of that. That's part of the reasons why I wasn't on the phone trying to snatch my dude get to the [ __ ] bedroom. You know what I mean? I don't spank my kids by any means, right? >> Which, you know, nowadays, you can't really spank your kids. >> Yeah. That's just >> You can spank them. You just can't. I mean, you can't do it out of being angry. You got to do it out of this. >> We still don't do that. You know what I mean? No, I I don't really respect kids that old anyways. >> I understand. >> More along the lines of taking video games. >> The father was kept outside while the mother barricaded herself inside with their two kids, ages 8 and 11. Instead of putting her children's emotional well-being first, stuck in the middle of all that chaos, she stayed locked in on holding her territory. Her need for control outweighed her motherly instincts. And the second officer confirmed the father had a right to enter the home. She blew up. Press the window and go in. >> It's >> Did she put her hands on me while I do this? >> You call the police. >> Yeah, that's better. >> We'll stand right here. >> All right, gentlemen. I appreciate your time. I had to deal with this [ __ ] >> Hey, if there starts being an issue, okay, make sure separate separate yourself >> and start recording on your phone. Anything? >> Yeah, that's probably what I'm going to end up doing. Go back to my house >> at 23rd Madison trailer with no tag pulled by a van. >> Come outside. Come outside. We have to talk now. We have to talk now because Come outside. It's about to be an issue. >> Yeah, it's an issue. He's right here. >> Let me let me explain this to you. The kids room. Let me explain this. It doesn't matter. Okay. No, he is allowed. Let me let me tell you. He is allowed to go inside this house regardless of how he gets in. It doesn't matter. He's lived here for a longer. >> No, he hasn't. He just moved in 4 months ago. >> Okay. Guess what? That's a long enough time. That's long enough. >> Legally. No, it's not. >> Oh, you know the laws. >> A little bit. Yeah. I've only been a while since I not because you don't know that. THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS. >> You're not breaking in. That's why I'm TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW in you cannot make threats like I'm going to shoot you in your head >> for breaking in every goddamn residency here. >> HE LITERALLY THREATENED MY SON. >> He threatened my son TO HELP. >> HE to he can come breaking in. >> It's not breaking in. >> But I can't shoot him. But he can shoot orers my 11year-old son. >> I'm not arguing. >> You don't deserve a badge. Get the piece of [ __ ] back in the house. >> I'm telling you. Okay. >> Good for you. >> You know better cuz you know it. You know me from GameStop. This is [ __ ] Come escort him to his bedroom cuz that's the only spot he's allowed in here. >> Hey man, >> escort him >> to his bedroom. We >> are escorting him. You just walk in. >> That's the only thing he's allowed to be >> now. He can walk anywhere in the house. >> How' you pass your PT, boy? >> House. >> She didn't take responsibility for her aggressive behavior. She pivoted to accusing the father of threatening the 11-year-old. It's a familiar self-defense move. Cast yourself as the only protector so your hostility suddenly sounds justified. Things hit a peak when she spit toward the officers as they were getting ready to leave. Have a >> good day. >> Have a good day. This is going to be a problem. Should >> you spit at me? >> Yeah. >> No, I spit on the ground cuz I have blue in my mouth. Prove it. Prove it. [ __ ] >> Listen. Listen. I'm telling YOU RIGHT NOW. >> AIDEN ATHENA, I LOVE YOU. THIS IS YOUR DADDY'S FAULT CUZ HE'S A CHEATED PIECE OF [ __ ] >> CALM DOWN. >> AIDEN, GET INSIDE. COME HERE. >> AIDEN, GO BACK IN THE ROOM, PLEASE. >> LISTEN, [screaming] >> don't call your daddy like that. Go, Athena. This is I love you. You dude, >> my kids are a goddamn teacher. >> God damn, you fat piece of [ __ ] >> How the did you pass your PT? >> Oh, y'all, man. Oh, y'all. >> I don't give a >> All right. >> You dude, you piece of [ __ ] I pray you die on the way to the office. >> Stop spitting. >> No you, dude. You don't care about my kids. Come on, P. Get it, boy. [ __ ] [ __ ] >> Put me in or move. One of the two. You're not allowed to do this, dumbass. >> Right here until you get hurt. Well, go ahead. I don't >> I think I was going to search you. >> Oh, okay. Well, you're being recorded, by the way. >> I have my bun. >> Good. That doesn't mean that y'all don't delete [ __ ] dumbass. >> Being arrested in front of her kids felt humiliating. To claw back some sense of power, she tried to cut the officers down and disrespect them. But underneath that was pure projection, dumping her failed relationships and personal loss of control onto someone else just to soothe her own shame. >> I hate y'all. every last one of you. And you have all used to come in goddamn GameStop all the time. You know what I went through with him [ __ ] >> Yeah, you're new fat boy. They don't let cops as big as you on their squad and ain't no way. >> I'm not sure why you're talking right now. >> Cuz I care. >> You're not in very great shape. >> I don't care. >> See what you just did to my wrist? >> I did not tackle. >> You see what you just did to my wrist? >> There's no There's no cut. >> There's no There's nothing there. There's no cut down. >> You're a full [ __ ] I hate y'all. >> All right. I'm sorry you feel that way. >> No, you're not. Why do you Why do you do that? >> Do what? >> Act like a narcissistic piece of [ __ ] >> I'm sorry you feel that way. >> Do you beat your wife, too? Is that why you don't care? >> I promise you I don't. >> I promise you look like you do. >> That's horrible. >> It is, isn't it? You look like you beat your wife. That's why you don't give a [ __ ] that my kids are going to get the [ __ ] beat out. >> What are you doing? >> So, I was just We need to start. Kids are going to get beaten. If you could, you know, check on them, make sure they're still alive after today. She starts, she looks like she does cocaine. Nose looks terrible. Even her stature. Take your glasses off. Let me see that pupil dilation. I know how crooked Putin is. I've seen it. >> This is a horrible example for your kids. >> You're a horrible example for human beings. I don't don't shut the up. Don't talk to me. >> Don't talk to me anymore, dude. My kids are fixing to have beat because I'm the only one protecting them. >> I'm sorry you feel that way. >> You, dude, >> you beat your wife. I can tell. You feel better? Good. >> There you go. Take shoes off, too. Don't forget that. Let's keep [ __ ] >> Get up right now. You stop. Do you understand that? Turn around. Get up in your car and START LISTENING. QUIT SLAMMING ON ME. >> You don't have a right to do that. >> I took my shoes off for you. You >> Once she was in the cruiser, her whole energy flipped. She went from hostile to apologetic. Her voice softened and she started talking about feeling betrayed. When she realized the tough girl routine wasn't working anymore, she poured out the real pain. A cheating husband and a broken mirror. The strategy changed, but the reality didn't. >> I'm going to do this real quick. Okay? I'm I'm going to talk to you. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything that you say can and will be used as evidence against you in court. You have the right to consult with an attorney. Have them with you now or anytime during questioning. Cannot afford an attorney. One will be appointed to represent you. If anytime you wish to stop talking or have an attorney present, all questioning will be stopped at your request. Okay. Do you understand these rights? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you want to talk to me? >> Okay. Let's talk about this. >> Let's talk about this. >> Okay. So, I'm >> sorry if I said mean things about you. >> I don't care. I hear that stuff. >> It's not okay. I just It's not okay. I wouldn't say it if I wasn't upset. That's really not okay. >> I know the whole I get it and and be honest with me. Were you upset and you let your emotions go? >> I literally have all this congestion and everything and I'm trying to sp I didn't know you were still standing there. I promise. Like I don't spit at people. That's assault. I know that I can get in trouble for that. No. And then yes, when you tackled me and we hit the ground, it hurt and I got mad and then I started splitting and yeah, I should have been spitting at you and I'm sorry for that, but at the time you just I you didn't care about the kids. It's all I care about are my kids. I don't care what happens to me. But in the moment, I didn't care. And I'm sorry for that cuz like I said, we just got back together after being separated for 8 years trying to fix things and then he goes to cheat and then I find out it's a horrible thing to know. >> I had to go to work my first day at work after I found out and that's where the broken mirror came from, which I talked to the officers this morning about it cuz I broke the mirror with myself. I broke it. And I went in the bedroom and took it out on the mirror instead of slapping him. And I told the officers when he took them out of school this morning and left to go to his sisters with them. [snorts] Um, I didn't know what else to do. There's nothing like there's nothing I can do. And every time I try to ask for help, nothing gets stuck. >> And and you got to understand from our point, I I promise you, if I could do something, I would do something. >> Nothing ever gets stuck. >> And I'm [snorts] sorry. I promise you there is so many resources for stuff like this. Don't feel like you're helpless cuz you're not. Okay? >> I don't have monkey. >> Well, there's guess what? There's resource centers. Okay? You go to a resource center. >> I'm telling you right now, if you think I've I've heard this, we I've had this conversation with tons of people and guess what? It always works out for them. Okay? You got to go seek resources. And I promise >> I'm going to jail. Take care of the kids. >> Listen, >> she doesn't care. She's just as two-faced. She She beats her kids, too. She doesn't care. >> Let's just get this taken care of. Okay. >> In the end, she was taken to jail and face charges including battery on a law enforcement officer and nonviolent resisting obstructing an officer. What happens next depends on her prior record. If this is a first offense, she may get some leniency through a plea deal or a pre-trial diversion program, often resulting in fines and probation instead of a long jail sentence. One mother slips in her child's eyes. Another slipped straight into a criminal file over a so-called fence law. On February 23rd, 2025 in Florida, police lights [music] flickered on over a roadblock. Normally, that's a crystal clear warning, but this mom treated it like a challenge. And from that moment on, the situation took a turn nobody [music] saw coming. >> You're going to turn around right here. You're going to go out the same way you just came in, and you're going to leave or you're going to go to jail. I don't know how to make it any more clear to you. >> I'm going to contact my pastor in the morning and I'm going to give him a Buer >> and a Williams >> and you guys will have to answer to this in the morning. You don't have a proper goodbye. >> Please leave. >> You don't have You don't have cones up. >> 30 seconds away from going to jail. I don't want to hear anything else from you. I want you to leave. >> 30 seconds from going to jail because you have your lights on. >> Your daughter's in the car. You don't need to be doing this. do not have >> a procedure park. Why are you with your vehicle? So, I'm supposed to see your lights and automatically assume >> I'm supposed to assume >> that the road is closed. Can you please leave? >> I'm supposed to assume. >> Can you please leave? You're about to do You're about to do something that is going to be very bad in front of your daughter. I'm not violating you. >> You are violating the laws when you're not leaving when we tell you to leave. That is a crime and you will go to jail for it. No, you're wrong. You're lying. What? You did not stop me before I approached your vehicle. >> It's just us here and we really don't have the time to be dealing with. >> You did not. You did not stop me before I approached your vehicle. >> You were not with your vehicle. >> That doesn't. >> So, I'm going to continue to proceed forward. >> No, you're not. >> And my church and I is going to take care of this. >> You're going to go to jail. >> I have no way to turn around. >> I told you to make a three-point turn. >> Where? Right here. >> You're standing there >> cuz you're not moving. >> Get out of my way. Put it in reverse. Make a 3. >> No, I can't reverse with your vehicle behind me. >> It's We're not playing this game. You need to leave or your car will be on that tow truck next. >> Not a single word of accountability. Right out the gate, she chose confrontation. The dangerous driving gets brushed aside and she goes straight to attacking police procedure. In her mind, her religious identity becomes a shield. Some kind of higher authority she believes should put her above the officer handling the crash scene. We don't have the manpower or the resources. >> Okay. So, Officer Bergeer and Officer Williams. >> Sergeant Buer. >> Officer Williams and Officer Buler. >> Why is this so hard for you? Why can't you just leave? >> We're simply asking you to leave. >> So, why would you have a traffic light on and allow people to proceed? >> We're not allowing people to proceed. You're the only one proceeding >> where there is no no way. >> We have been out here for over an hour and you're the only person that has done this. You're the only person. We haven't had an issue with anyone else driving. Yes. >> How is it blocking the road? >> Parked in the middle of the road. You had to go around it in order to >> So why is it not at the traffic light at the intersection? You allow people to proceed through the intersection. >> Other people are smarter than you. >> Stop them. >> Other people are smarter than you. >> I have a bachelor's degree. >> You should use it and use your common knowledge and turn around and leave. >> You at this point have to leave this scene. We have asked you way more times than we should. You are. This is your opportunity to now put your vehicle in drive. Turn your wheel to the left, make a U-turn, and then go out the way you came in. That is this that is the clear directions that I have given to you. And if you refuse to do such, you will be going to jail. >> I'm going to record it. I'm going to record the barriers that you set in place. >> Ma'am, you need to leave. >> Get out of the car. >> No sir. >> You're under arrest. I'm I'm going to make a phone call to my mother. Excuse me. Please don't be violent. >> We're not, but I'm giving you I want to make Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Please exit the vehicle. >> Please exit the vehicle. >> Okay. I'm exit. >> Walk to the back of your car. >> Put your hands behind your back. Hello, little one. Are you okay? >> Yeah, I'm okay. >> Okay. Is this your mommy? >> Okay. Is daddy at home or grandma or anybody? >> I live right next to my grandma. >> You live right next to your grandma? Okay. >> Dropping degrees and credentials during a traffic stop doesn't keep you from getting arrested. Her stubbornness leads to the inevitable. She's pulled from the car in front of her daughter and the child ends up being the calmst, most truthful person there, admitting they just left a party and that the chance to simply go home was lost because of the mother's own choices. Okay. Um, for this next exercise, we call it the walk and turn. Okay. So, what I want you to do is I want you to we're going to use this line right here where my right foot is. Can you see this line that I'm pointing to? >> So, it'll be your right foot. >> Correct. >> Uh-huh. >> Do you see this line that I'm pointing to? >> My left foot. >> Correct. Yes. Yes. I want you to put your right foot on that line, please. Before I do that, do you want to do this exercise in those sandals or would you like to take them off? >> No, they're fine. >> Okay. So, I just want you to put your right foot on this line like I'm doing. And then I want you put your left foot directly in front of it with your toe touching your heel and your arms down by your side. Okay. Nine. If that was my front one, I would leave this front foot planted and I'd make a series of small steps like this to turn around and take nine heel toe steps back down the line. Okay. Can you give me example since I'm on this line? >> I just did, but I'll give you another one. >> No. Facing facing the same way. >> I'm not. So, for my safety, I'm not going to do that. >> Can someone else help me, please? Cuz I'm a little bit confused. >> Okay, I'll do it again. >> If we're facing that way, >> yes, but I'm not. It's the same thing. Regardless which direction we're facing, I'm not going to turn. >> So, if I do something like this, >> that would be an improper turn. >> That would be improper. I don't want it to be improper. I don't either. >> So, can you help me with what kind of turn I should make? Absolutely. First, you can put your right foot on the line and your left foot in front of it. I would appreciate it. >> Okay. So, my left foot's on already on there. >> Yes. I want you to put your right foot on the line and put your left foot in front of your right foot. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You need to switch. >> My left foot's on the line. >> Right. You need to put >> So, it needs to be like this. >> Correct. With your with your heel touching your toe >> like this. >> Correct. And your hands down by your side. >> Okay. >> Okay. You have any questions? >> Uh, I do. >> Okay. I'm here to answer them. >> Okay. So, I'm like one >> Hold on. I didn't ask you to start. Go back to where I asked you. >> I'm just g Okay. Okay. >> So, right. >> You want me to start like this? >> Yes. Are you ready? >> Okay. I'm writing. >> Okay. You may begin. 1,00 1,002003 1,004 >> 100, 105 1,006, 107 100, 108 100, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 109,0, 2011, 1,2,3, 2014, 2015, 2016. Why'd you stop? >> Uh cuz my feet work harder. >> When it's time for the sobriety test, talking your way out gets real hard. The walk and turn tells the story. She can't follow directions, keeps interrupting, then blames it on a sore foot. Wanting to control the moment is one thing. Your body being controlled by alcohol is another. And that's when the tears start because the perfect mom image is cracking in real time. Yes. No. >> Yes. I just see my daughter looking at me, [snorts] >> so I got a little bit emotional. >> I understand rightfully so. So, do you understand the the instructions I gave you? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you have any questions? >> No. >> Okay. So, go ahead and tilt your head back. Close your eyes. Put your hands down by your side for me. >> Just Nope. Straight down by your side by your pants seams. Yep. Just leave them right there for me. Okay. Left. Right. For this exercise, um, I'm just going to have you turn around. Um, just going to have you quick turn around and take a look at those lights. And then I want you to, you're a Christian woman, so I want you to put your hands like you're praying in front of you. And then do that behind your back. >> [snorts] >> You're under arrest for child neglect and driving under the influence of alcohol. >> I would like to >> I have no answers. >> You have to answer that question. >> You have to answer that question. So if not I have my attorney. >> You're going to get charged with another misdemeanor if you don't give me your name. >> My attorney. >> Right. You have to give your name or it's another charge. So please please just don't do that to yourself or your daughter. Just say your name. >> Question. That is something you have to provide by law. >> So why am I being under arrest? >> He already explained to you. What's the phone? What's the phone number? What's the phone number for your mother? >> Let's get the phone number so we can call her so we can come pick up your daughter, please. It's cold outside. >> You said left to my I >> your mother's phone number so we can call her to pick up your daughter >> or she will be released to the custody of the Department of Children and Families and they can come take care of her. I would much rather release her to your grandmother, your mother, her grandmother. >> What is her phone number? Give us the phone number so we can call your mother to come pick up your kid. Otherwise, she's >> What's best for my child is for you to not abuse your authority. >> Okay. >> All right. Ready? >> Okay. What is her name? So way I can >> I'm going to sue the state of Florida. >> She'd rather catch extra charges than give her real name. And it's pretty obvious why. Once her identity is confirmed, she's no longer the doctor or the devoted church lady. She's just another DUI case in the police system. After that, she's transported to the station for further processing. >> Right to remain silent. Anything you say can or will get you a law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have her present with you while you're being questioned. If you want to hire a lawyer, want to be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions statements. Do you understand each tricycle? I just want to ask. >> So, you can ask whatever you need to ask. In just a second, I just need to know if you understand. >> I can read it to you again. >> Were you not supposed to read those to me before you put me in the vehicle and set me off? >> Correct. >> You don't have to. >> No, ma'am. >> That's your statement. >> Correct. Okay. >> Like I said, you don't have to hold anything or grab anything. You're just going to take a big deep breath. Put your lips on this piece of plastic here and blow like you're blowing up a balloon. Keep [music] going. Keep going. Stop. So, take a big deep breath [snorts] and blow through the tube like you're blowing up a balloon. Okay. Take a big deep breath [snorts] and wrap your lips around a piece of plastic and blow through your mouth. Yep. Just like that. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. [music] Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Um, this is also not an incriminating question. Um, do you know the legal limit for blood alcohol content in the state of Florida? I'm sorry. Breath alcohol content in the state of Florida. >> I've disclosed I want to answer a number of questions without my attorney. >> Okay, that's fine. So, the breath alcohol content the legal limit in the state of Florida is 08. Uh, your breast sample was 0.15. >> So, I'm not a mathematician, but you are intoxicated as far as the law is concerned. >> In the end, she's arrested and initially faces child neglect, a firsttime DUI, and nonviolent resisting arrest. Later, the charges are reduced to DUI with a passenger under 18 and non-violent resisting obstructing. She's released after posting a $7,000 bond. If convicted, penalties could include up to 1 year of probation and a 12-month driver's license suspension. When one mother loses to the law somewhere else, a small child's cries pull police into something far worse. On August 17th, 2025, a 911 call sent police racing to the scene under urgent conditions. A mother and her young child had managed to escape and call for help. The suspect was gone. With time working against them, officers quickly deployed aerial units to track him down. >> Yeah, >> the one on the left. >> Yeah. What happened? When I pulled in, the door, front door was open and there was a guy on the ground and that little kid in his lap and he had it in choke hold and the mom was like screaming, "Help, help." >> Screaming like at him or just out. >> She's saying, "Help." >> Okay. >> And then another kid went in the window was banging on him. I was like, "Help, help." So I called and she climbed out of the window with like a 2-year-old. I was like, "Please call the cops." And the mom Yeah. I'm like, "I'm on the phone with them right now. we need to get the kids out of there. And she went back inside and then they shut all the blinds and I don't know what's going on now. >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Is everybody okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Mommy, >> who is my baby father? Um he was upset for some reason and he's obsessed over me, I guess. I don't know. He strangled me and started picking me up and throwing me everywhere and yes I tried to run out to get help and he like pulled me by my hair and I was trying to yell. >> What was he wearing? >> I I think it was like a purple like a car racing [ __ ] >> That wasn't before, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Are you guys you okay? >> Yeah, the kids were fine. They literally were taking naps. They this whole they all just woke up >> cuz basically somebody called because they saw I guess him holding a kid out in the driveway. >> Holding me. It was me. >> Oh, holding you. >> It just looks like it cuz he's tall. >> I got you. >> I ran next door, too. They have a ring. Um, >> is he white, black, Hispanic? >> I'm Hispanic. So, he's like a like your skin tone a little darker. [snorts] >> Mommy. >> Mommy. >> Possible DV strangulation. >> He was like, "Oh, you're not leaving. You're not leaving me." Just like >> the front door. Where did you go? >> You came out the front door? >> No, I when I went back inside um when I looked at my phone, he stole my phone. He wasn't let left me without phone or nothing. >> So you guys married? >> No. No. That's just my baby dad. He he helps me out here and there with the kids when I go to work. >> But he doesn't live here. >> No, he does not. >> Okay. >> From the very start, the woman, both a mother and a victim, tries to normalize a moment that is anything but. Please don't touch my daughter. Please don't be my daughter. MY DAUGHTER. WHAT I DO? Y back down In the end, the woman is taken to jail and faces charges, including resisting an officer, battery, and disorderly conduct. This case makes one thing painfully clear. When we use our children and moral posturing as tools to manipulate others, we don't just risk our freedom, we lose our integrity. Before the airport even settles after the fight, a drunk Karen turns a quiet home into the next crime scene. On October 6th, 2025, in Brookfield, Illinois, a quiet home was shattered when a car plowed straight into the living room. The wreckage was the obvious part. What grabbed officers even more was the driver's cold, almost detached reaction behind the wheel. >> Anybody live here? Anybody live here? She's probably at work. >> Okay. What happened? >> Um, my foot the wrong pedal. >> Who? >> My foot has the wrong pedal. >> Your license on you? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. >> You know their phone numbers and stuff or anything? >> I think we got her phone number. I We got keys to her house. If you get that phone number, >> go get the keys. >> Okay. >> And try to get the dog over to our house. >> All right. If we can get a phone number for me, I appreciate it. Thank you. >> So, you were going northbound. Explain to me, even if you hit the wrong pedal, you could still stay on the roadway. How did you end up in a house? >> Good question. >> That's why I'm asking. >> Yeah. I did fall asleep. Were you on your phone? >> So, how'd you end up in the house? >> I hit the wrong pedal. I was going to feed my son from school. >> You're going what? >> My son from school. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, even if you hit the wrong pedal, you could stay on the roadway. How did you leave the roadway? It >> happened so fast. Officer, >> did you have you had anything to drink today? >> No. >> Have you taken any medication that would like alter your ability to drive? >> No. Do you take any medication? >> Yes. >> Just put a number in the cab on >> the doll like uh I heard I heard a dog in here. >> I do enjoy. I hope so. >> Do we call it soaked up? I don't know. >> It should not is a state of opinion. Does it impair or does it not impair? It does not. >> So, you don't know how you left the roadway? >> Uh, I hope so. >> So, my husband Dan Miller is going to park. Um, she's my son right now. Um, >> but he wasn't in the car with you, right? >> So, how would he explain to me how you left the roadway? >> We got to write a report. So, in the report, I have to try to make sense of how your car left the roadway and could have killed somebody if they were >> I was going too fast around the corner. >> So, which way were you going? Were you going north? this way. But where we come from? >> Before she even faces the damage, she picks a different story. She frames it as an accident, like intention never existed. But the moment the questions hit basic logic, how does an entire car end up inside a house, her memory suddenly goes blank that I don't remember becomes a psychological shield, a way to dodge a terrifying truth. >> I was coming um this way. I was on Jackson Avenue. eastbound on Jackson Avenue to northbound on on um this road here and um I turned too fast and I turned too fast. >> Central, you just advised that homeowner that the dog is at the neighbor's house and it's fine. >> You want to go to the hospital? >> No, I'm good. Thank you. >> No, you just have amnesia. Can't remember how you put your car into the house. >> I already told you, sir. >> Yeah, you told me nothing. You told me you don't remember. I didn't say that. >> You said it happened too fast. >> Yeah, I got it. I'll get it. I'll get it back. I got it. I wonder I gave it to the officer. He's got it down. I'll get I'll get it. >> So, you were going eastbound on Jackson. You made the turn and you hit the gas instead of the >> How fast do you think you were going when you hit the house? >> Most people when they turn, they're turning like at 15 10 15 mph. >> Yeah. >> All right. Let me get your insurance policy information and know what's your phone number. So, looks like my sergeant has a uh a PBT in his hand. You said you didn't drink. It would obviously benefit you if you just blew into it. So, we can put in our report that you blew zero. You willing to do that? >> No. >> No. If you do that, you go to hospital. Get your blood draw. So, >> otherwise, they're going to turn this into a DUI investigation. So, if you didn't have you didn't have anything to drink, it's in your best interest to blow into the PBT. I can't force you. I'm not I'm not making you, but you're telling me definitively that you had nothing to drink. You said it multiple times. So, if you didn't, >> that should register zero. But if you choose not to, >> then we have to do our job. And part of our job is looking at this as a possible DUI. So, did you have anything to drink today? >> The emotion that shows up isn't remorse. It's panic over her image collapsing. The I was just picking up my kid story line starts falling apart. And as soon as the PBT breath test is mentioned, the fake cooperation drops. What replaces it is pure defense mode. Again, I'm not forcing you to do this, but if they don't do it, what they're going to end up doing is they're going to transport you to the hospital in custody and they're going to draw your blood and we're going to get it right from the bed. >> If you're cooperative, it'll put things into perspective a little bit quicker for us so we can understand what happened. >> But if you again, if you don't want to cooperate and you don't want to do it, that's your prerogative. Okay? >> Nobody's making you. All I'm asking you to do is tell the truth. That's it. >> All right. She's going to blow into this. Okay? push my mouth over it and like bump blow and just keep blowing. Okay. >> Keep pushing out. Push. Push. Push. Push. There you go. Keep push. So, how long have you had >> Okay. Your blood alcohol shows 0.1 95. Okay. All right. So, what you do is you going to step over here real quick for me. >> All right. Just stand right here. We'll do some uh so go ahead and put your phone in your in your satchel there. Okay. And just go ahead and face me. All right. Put your hands out your side. Standardized to your sobriety test. You're going to participate in those sobriety tests. How many of them? >> Well, I'm wearing like that shoes. >> You have shoes. Just put them all the way lay off. That's your choice if you choose not to put the shoes all the way lay on. >> I do the barefoot. >> You want to do it barefooted? >> I want to do bare foot. >> All right. Take your satchel off if you want to sit it down over there as well. How's your You have any other medical conditions, medical issues? Nothing. Okay. How's your overall overall health? >> It's fine. Okay. Any contacts in your eyes? All right. When last time have you have you consumed alcohol? >> I'm not going to answer that. >> You don't want to answer that? The test show that you're okay. All right. And that's why we wanted to ask those question. Give you a chance to prove that you're not intoxicated. Like I said, I mean, >> so the field spray test would do that. >> No. Well, you still blew over the leg. So, we're getting we're doing a field sprite test as a complete process. And now, and as you're talking now, I smell the alcohol coming from your breath. >> All right. And I have a small silus after I smell it. So, that's why we're doing these tests. Okay. >> Her breath test comes back more than twice the legal limit. And every excuse before that instantly caves in. What's striking is that even after crashing into a house, she doesn't look obviously drunk. That points to possible high alcohol tolerance, something you often see with long-term heavy drinking. >> Situation of this test. Okay. I'm going to move my finger back and forth across your face. Okay? Then keep your head straight and you're going to follow my finger with your eyes and your eyes only. You understand? You do not have any contact. Correct. >> Okay. So, I'm going to reach towards you. I'm not going to touch you. Okay? It's going to get the proper distance from you. All right? So, just stay there my finger tip right here. Okay? Keep your chin down and lift your chin up. Okay, keep your chin like this. Just let your eyes go up on its own. Okay, do one more time. Keep your chin level. >> There you go. All right. So, for the second the second portion of this. All right. You doing me a favor? You're going to place your left foot. So, pretend like this is an invisible line. Here's here's the thing. You have shoes right there, but you can put on and not walk on your heels. You want to put the shoes on to do this? You're going to have to walk back. >> They're the slip-on shoes. I mean, I don't >> They're not slip-ons. They have a heel. Are they too small for you or something? >> No. >> Okay. I'm just giving you an option. Your shoes versus your bare feet. >> Thank you. Ready? >> And you're choosing your bare feet. Yes. Okay. So, do me a favor. Feet together like so. Hands out your side. All right. Pretend like there's an imaginary line that goes straight down. Okay. You're going to walk straight on that imaginary line. Do you understand that? Are you sure? >> Yes. >> All right. So, do me a favor. Place your left foot on your imaginary line. Your right foot in front of your left like this. Heel to toe. Okay. Keep your hands at your side. You're going to stay in that position. Don't move and don't start walking until I tell you so. You understand? >> Yeah. >> All right. So, maintain that position. Okay. When I tell you this, when I tell you to start. Nope. Stay back in the position. Don't move from that position. Arm keep your arms pinned to your side like like this. Pinned to your side. >> Heel to toe. See how I'm doing? >> Yeah, I got it. >> All right. So, when I tell you to start, not until I tell you to start, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps straight down this line. Okay. >> Put your hands up your side, man. Stay in the position. Do not move from that position till you told to. Okay. It's the third time I'm telling you this. Okay. >> Once you reach your ninth step, you're going to take a series of small steps. You're going to turn around and you're going to continue to count nine heel to toe to toe step back down this direction out loud. Do you understand? >> Yeah. >> You're going to keep your arms at your side. You're going to look down at your feet. Okay. It's going to look something like this. All right. Nope. Back in the position for the fourth time. Don't move from that position. So I tell you to do so. Do you understand? You sure? All right. So don't move again. It's the fourth time you did that. So just like this. Look like this. 1 2 3 all the way to nine. Not three to nine. Do you understand? Are you looking at me? >> Yes. >> All right. Here's a step. During field sobriety tests, she keeps breaking position even after repeated warnings. She acts like she understands the instructions, but her body tells on her with every step. When your brain is getting hit by a high BAC, every moral mask becomes fragile because cognition is slipping and control is gone. 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 2 3 4. All right. So, fin thing. Let's go ahead and put your feet put your feet together on left side. Okay. When I tell you to do so, you're going to lift either foot of your choice. Right or left, doesn't matter. Lift off the ground. It's going to be six about 6 in off the ground. It's going to be parallel to the ground. Do you understand? You look down at your foot. You're going to count out loud. When you count, it's going to be like 1,00 1,002 1,003. Okay? Something like this. Okay? Parallel to the ground like this. 1,00 1,002 1,003 1,004. Do you understand? >> I understand. >> You're going to keep going till I tell you stop. All right. 6 in off the ground and parallel to the ground. All right. May begin. 1,00 1,002 1,003 1,004 1,005 100,00 6007 1008 1090 101234 >> like this >> 1567 too high up. You got to be parallel. All right, >> what number you end up end on? >> 21. >> All right. So, how much you say you have to drink? how to answer. >> You don't have to answer it. Okay. So, obviously you blew over the the the double twice leave limit. Okay. You said you had some alcohol, but you won't tell us how much. Okay. I understand that. Uh go ahead and turn around for me. >> You taken into custody under for DUI. Do you understand? Put your hands together like you're log one in custody. Can you see if you give me a female officer for a search to you have any knives, weapons on you, anything? Look who you got real quick. All right. Hey, your stuff's going to come with you, but uh put your glasses on. That's what you're doing. All right, we'll put this all together. You want slippery shoes on? Go ahead. Put these in your your purse. All right. In the end, she's taken to jail and faces charges including criminal trespass and nonviolent resisting, obstructing. She later entered a no contest plea and had to pay over $550 in fines, cash in hand for a hard lesson in pride. After the house crash and the refusal to comply, the story swings to a different case. An irrational woman getting fired. On May 15th, 2024, police responded to a call about a recently fired employee causing a scene at her workplace. What should have been a routine termination meeting quickly turned into chaos as the model employee image collapsed the moment the truth came into the light. >> Yeah. What's going on? >> Don't be Don't be put on the fire alarm. I don't like that. What's going on? >> What's the problem here? Why am I here? >> Check this out. I don't want to hold that. >> Do you want to hold this? >> No, I don't. >> Why? >> Because it's not my stuff. >> It's not your stuff. >> No. >> Are you trying to be dumb on me? >> Am I trying to do what? >> You look so dumb. Just be calm. You see how I hurt my finger? >> Okay. >> You got a bad background check. Yeah. >> Well, the background check doesn't say anything. I don't want it. >> Do you have your ID? >> Yeah. >> Can I see it, please? >> You cannot shut my door without asking me. >> I don't need to ask you. >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> What's going on? >> 2141 calling. >> Clear. >> Yeah. >> She's been here for I think a week working. No. We got an alert saying her background's not clear. >> Okay. We told her, "Please call this number. Go do what you got to do. we'll fix it. You're not fired. But she went haywire on my HR lady upstairs. >> Okay. >> So, we all of us could Could you please just go fix this? So, she kind of left, but she tried to pull the the pull station on the way out, but missed. And then she tried breaking the sign over. She yanking on the sign. So, we're like, "Just go." And she This was >> half an hour ago. >> Yeah. Okay. Can we see what's going on? >> We'll go to call. You're being issued a trespass warning for this property by the employees of this um >> employees. They hire me without checking my background. Okay. >> They make me work in that building >> instead of checking my background. >> I'm going to go to 12. >> What you guys know? You guys know the game here. >> You guys have been playing game with people. You guys are not helping with people. >> We're not playing a game. We were asked to trespass you. >> I don't trespass. They make me work without >> check. There's nothing. >> Okay. It sounds like there was confusion in the background process. Okay. >> Okay. So, what you see? >> I'm just a human being. >> Okay. I understand that. >> We're trying to figure out what's happening. We don't even know what's going on. Okay. That's why we need you to identify yourself. >> When she's shown the failed background check results, she refuses to even take them. It's her way of protecting a self-made reality bubble. In her mind, if she doesn't accept the information, then the information doesn't exist. No matter how clearly the company and the officers explain it, >> my work, >> you guys can only do so much to help her. Honestly, >> this has been about an hour. So, >> my work is >> just pick up your stuff. All right. I don't want it to blow away. >> You guys are messing up this program. >> What are they building here? >> I don't know. >> Oh, >> just a dirt. Told you you're trespassed. So you need to get your stuff and leave. >> What stuff? That's my car. >> Okay. So then you need to get in and leave. >> I've had enough. >> Pick up the wire, get in the car, and get off the property. We're not pulling fire alarms. We're not playing games today. I will take you to jail for trespass after warning. >> I don't play games. I come to work. >> It's not a discussion. Have a great day. Thank you. >> You're not the boss. I am actually. >> I have to talk to your supervisor. You don't. Okay. What's >> You can talk to my supervisor in handcuffs or you can get in your car and leave. Pick it. >> Let me go show you guys something. >> No, there's no show. No, >> I'm just going to show you something. >> Okay. What is this? >> Listen, I'm giving you 5 seconds. If you don't, you're going to jail. >> Yep. I'm trying to teach you guys. What is this? This is a roof. >> Two on the go roof here. >> You got to leave. Three. You're not going to wear this uniform and try to treat an NBA. No, I know my right. >> You're refusing to leave the goddamn STATE SYSTEM. HEY, COME DOWN HERE so we can talk. Come here. >> People can't help you when you're acting like this. Come down here and talk. >> I'm not trying. No, I'm a grown woman here. >> You're not acting like a grown woman. You're on top of a car. >> You guys are crazy. I'M NOT HERE FOR LOVE. >> THEY TOOK OVER MY ART. THAT'S WHY I'M HERE FOR WORK. I KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS CASE. >> I still go for All right. Can you going to come down or are we going to >> Yeah. >> hang out up there the entire time? >> Yes. I know. That's dark. Let's see. >> All right. >> Human. >> Well, come down. >> Help me. >> All right. We'll come down then. >> This is about taking up space when she's losing ground logically. Standing higher up, she starts lecturing everyone about civil rights and the law rules she's actively breaking. Then she begins taking pictures of the officers, basically setting up her own evidence just in case she needs to retell the story later in a way that benefits her. I'm taking pictures. >> Okay. Well, do you want to come down here so we can talk like adults? >> Yeah, let's do it. >> Okay. >> Why are you scratching your skin? >> I'm not. >> What's going on? >> I'm not risking anything. >> Have you taken any substances today? >> No. >> Okay. >> Leave her. All right. Come on. >> Would you like help? >> No. I can do it myself. >> Watch. Let me get you. I island people warrior. >> All right. Now you're under >> uhoh. >> You're under arrest. >> Why? >> Because you failed to leave the property and you were trespassed. >> Ouch. [snorts] >> We asked you to leave. You refused to leave. Instead, jumped on on top of your car. >> Ouch. YOU GUYS ARE DONE. >> Stop resisting them. >> That one's locked. >> Stop resisting. Ouch. Stop resisting. You're all tensed up. >> You're making you bad. >> It's disappointment. >> Crazy. >> SEE, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED. >> THAT'S NOT YOURS. CALM DOWN. >> QUIET. >> NO, we're only doing you. >> You guys are see you. What? >> Just follow up. >> You guys are just playing games here. >> Have a seat. All right. >> I know. I know what I'm doing. >> You're getting in the car. >> You are very much that. >> Don't hurt me. >> Get in. >> Then get in the car. I've had enough. >> God bless. >> That's why I say you got to stop. Stop. >> What are you doing? >> She's trying to swim. She's sitting. >> We want to just plop her and we'll wait for you to do that. >> They don't want ME TO LEAVE. STOP CUZ THEY'RE PLAYING. >> All right. >> No, you got to stop. >> Go ahead. >> In a split second, the roll flips. The defiance disappears, replaced [music] by collapsing to the ground, crying and shouting about pain. When control is gone, she grabs the last option, framing herself as the victim in front of everyone watching. >> I don't do anything. You're hurting me. >> Yeah, you don't listen. So, >> I understand. I know who you are. >> You're getting charged with two things now. >> No. >> Yeah. >> What you think? I didn't harm anyone. >> You're just trying to make up your own just so you can't get paid. >> We'll watch her. If you just want to fill out the affidavit, that's fine. >> Just stop it. >> Are you going to get Are you going to get in the car or no? >> I have to get >> Are you going to get in the car? It's yes or no. >> Listen, you're going to jail. You're just making this worse for yourself. >> Stand up. >> Indeed. I cannot move. It's numb. It's cuz you're sitting on there. >> Come on. >> Why is every Why is everybody so dramatic? Oh my gosh. >> Come on. Let's go. >> Do you want me to carry you? >> Stop. NO, I'M NOT. I DON'T TO BE DONE IN MY BODY. >> NO, I'm not stupid. >> I know what's going on in this world. >> I'm so sorry. >> For her, the patrol car door becomes a truth cage. She uses her daughter and her mother like emotional leverage, playing the family card to dodge consequences. And while she insists she's naturally sober, her paranoid talk about identity theft gives her away and undercuts the whole act. All right, enough screaming. >> I want you guys to see my >> Enough screaming. Come on. >> No, please. >> Stop. I didn't do anything. YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND ME. I'M NOT DOING ME. >> YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY. [screaming] >> CAN YOU GET IN THE CAR OR NO, [laughter] >> YOU GUYS ARE PLAYING GAMES. STOP PLAYING GAMES, TOO. >> GET IN THE CAR. On August 14th, 2024, police responded to Valley View Apartments after a 911 call reporting domestic violence and a possible stabbing. After detaining Wall-E, officers returned to inform Desiree that both she and Wall-E were under arrest for domestic violence based on the injuries found on both sides. Desiree exploded in protest, insisting she couldn't be arrested. It was her home after all. >> Iowa City. >> No, he's going to come be with the kids just for tonight. >> Why would I go to jail? >> He's got some wound. >> Why would I? He did that. He's crazy. I understand what you said, but we also had to go off on what we saw in the evidence in the case. Right now, you guys both sustained injuries, but he definitely got some. >> So, so we don't have to do this in front of the kids. Have someone come be with them so we can walk out that way. So, you're safe and sound right here. No. >> You walking. >> She refused to cooperate, screamed at officers, demanded to change her child's clothes, and begged not to be arrested in front of the kids. But when officers tried to restrain her, she lashed out, kicking and even spitting at them during the struggle. >> Y'all just ain't going to let me take care of my kids or nothing. >> Where they at? >> Right on the table. Just knock it off. >> In the end, both Desiree and Wall-E were taken into custody. She was charged with aggravated domestic violence along with additional charges for resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. Wall-Ally faced a matching charge of aggravated domestic violence. If convicted, DCF may get involved and both could be facing extended jail time, especially given the violence directed at law enforcement. On February 1st, 2025, police responded to an urgent call from the legal representative of a widowed woman suffering [music] from dementia. When officers arrived, they were met with a 75-year-old woman who flat out refused to leave. But why was she even there? And what exactly was happening behind closed doors? What's going on? >> My mom has power of attorney for my aunt. >> Okay. >> Her husband died like three three four weeks ago. >> Okay. >> So, her business partner from California, his business partner from California showed up here and is trying to get her trying to take her back to California with her. >> Why does he believe that he has any right to do that? >> Because she's nuts. She has round care here. >> Yeah. >> She pays for 24-hour care. Okay. >> They want her in California so they can get the money. >> Died and now she's And then my mom's stuck dealing with it because she's the closest uh they don't have any kids. So it's just my mom, >> okay, >> as the is the power of attorney. >> Okay. >> So she's not this this the lady that's here. She's not going to talk to you. She's very uh >> she won't speak to me either. She won't she won't speak. I don't even know her. I don't even know her full name. Ann. >> Okay. >> Your daughter. >> How you doing, guys? So, what's going on? >> Ask them. I don't know. I We >> There's two sides to every story. >> Well, best thing is for you to contact my attorney. >> So, you guys don't want to talk to me? Okay. >> Sorry. No, no. You uh >> you can do what you want to do. >> How you doing? >> I'm fine. I love you. >> Oh, just peachy. What's going on? >> Well, I'm power of attorney for my aid. >> Mhm. >> She has to She's been determined. She's non-decisional by the doctor. I have the paperwork. >> Yeah, that's what they were saying outside >> and they're pressuring her about coming back to California. Um want to know who's going to buy the apartments. using Google Translate to try to talk to her to Japanese. >> Anne had taken Michiko back to California despite knowing full well her health could decline. It became clear she wasn't thinking about Micho's well-being, but rather chasing her own agenda. According to the caller, Anne's actions were cold, calculated, and disturbingly opportunistic. It was as if she saw Michiko's illness not as a tragedy, but as a tool. >> You guys don't want to talk to me? Do we want to do we want to head out? You don't want to leave? >> When we head up from here? >> Yeah. From the the residence. >> From the residence. >> I'm going tomorrow. >> You're going tomorrow? >> Yes. >> What are we doing here now? >> Talk to my train, please. >> No, I'm just asking a question. This isn't >> I know, but >> in regards to anything with >> No, I don't want to talk. >> You don't want to talk? >> No. Sorry. >> No. I mean, if you don't if you don't want if you don't want to talk to me, you don't want to talk to me. I'm just trying to understand. >> Good looking dude, but I shouldn't. >> I appreciate it. You're going to make me blush, but at the end of the day, I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. Understand you're here. Is there a reason why we're camping out? I'm being respectful. I would appreciate if you were you would do this. Who did what before? >> She came out here and stayed in this room. >> Okay. But I what I'm asking is did [snorts] the guardian give you permission to stay this time? Looking forward. She doesn't want you here. Then you don't you don't stay here. >> Why would you say that? She doesn't want us here. >> No, she would like you guys to leave. >> What you doing? >> She just told me. >> I think she wants everybody to leave. >> They don't want you here. He's kicking you out. >> We don't want to sign You don't have to sign a no trespass order. We don't want have to sign that, which >> um if you talk to me, >> I understand. saying I could I could talk to her, but she even if I talk to her, whatever she says doesn't hold any water because she has power of attorney. >> Yeah, but >> Mko has dementia, correct? >> I'm an MD. >> I Okay. I regardless from a legal aspect, she has power of attorney. Correct. >> I don't know. >> No, she she does. >> I think she can make decisions. >> Okay. Well, even if she does make her decisions right now, in the moment, she has power of attorney. So, that trumps whatever she's saying right now. >> Okay. I'm not going to go 12 rounds with you. From a legal standpoint, she has power of attorney. She doesn't want you in the residence, so she's asking you politely. >> Legally, the person holding power of attorney had the final say, above anything Anne wanted, or even what Micho herself claimed to want given her mental state. Officers tried to reason with Anne, hoping she'd walk away peacefully, but she wouldn't budge. Eventually, they had no choice but to consider [music] tougher options. Oh, >> hi. >> What do you want? >> What do I want? >> I'm just I'm just here to talk. >> Somebody called you. >> I did it. I did. >> You did? Yeah. Okay. Thanks. I don't know about that. >> It's okay. >> I'm sorry this is happening. Are you done praying? >> Yeah. Yeah. I pray a little more. >> Pray a little bit. >> Yeah. >> I don't I don't want to disturb you. >> She did she did say if we want Ann to leave to make her go home. >> Okay. What? >> Step out with me, please. >> Why? No, I'm on top of her. >> No, you you come and step out with me. She She asked you to leave. >> Pardon? >> She asked you to leave. >> She did. You tell me. You want me to go home? He said you want me to go home. If you want to go home, please go. Okay. You don't go home. Please stay here. Thank you. >> I'm sorry. What's your name? >> Ann. >> Ann. Ann, can you step out with me, please? >> And do we really need to go the route of giving you a trespass so you can't come back here? >> No fights. Nothing. >> She doesn't. No, you can't do that. >> You're not understanding what I'm saying. >> Do you want to pray with your go? >> Yeah, I have to pray. You know, >> she's praying for >> I'm sorry. I have to pray. >> No, you you do. You do. You need to do >> everybody, you know, not myself. >> Do you need privacy while you do that? Okay. Step out with me. >> She's praying. >> Do I need to explain this? >> These are trespass notices. So, you guys >> can you step out with me so I'm not talking over >> here? Ma'am. >> Ma'am. >> Well, now I got to set everyone here. >> Ma'am, can you step out with me so I don't talk over it with her? >> No. >> Okay. >> So, you guys are going to be trespassed on the property. I'm going to give you this. If you refuse to leave, you're going to get a ticket or $300 ahead. If you refuse to leave after that, you're going to be leaving in handcuffs. Is that the route we want to go? >> Say that you said three things that they contradict. >> No, >> that is not contradicting. She understands perfectly. What started out as a civil dispute quickly crossed into criminal territory, refusing to leave after being lawfully ordered to do so. That's trespassing, and no amount of emotional storytelling could change that. Anne kept arguing, using the wishes of a woman legally deemed incapable of making those decisions. It didn't hold water. >> If you don't leave after that, >> you're going in handcuffs. >> Who followed me? >> Diana is doing it to us. He just said Diane is doing something that maybe kicking me out. >> I understand. >> Let her. She understands, but she's not listening. >> Power of you. >> Power of attorney. >> And if yes, explain it to her. She knows her. >> I'm not explaining. I'm not explaining to her. >> Okay. I need IDs. >> ID. She's in the kitchen waiting. They she's gonna see you're gonna see me in handcuffs because Diane's kicking me out. >> So, we're refusing to leave. >> Yes. >> Okay. Wait. Do you have an ID on you? >> Yes. >> If you don't leave right now, >> you're going to camp >> now. >> Correct. You need to collect your belongings and head out the door. >> What What was the whole like ticket then? >> If you refuse to leave, you get a city titation for trespassing. If you refuse to leave after that, that's where obstruction of justice comes into play. Oh, is this the ticket? >> That is a trespass notice. So, if you're refusing now, you get a $300 ticket. So, I mean, if you guys want to add a couple $300 tickets and a charge, we can go that route, but I would prefer not to do that. >> What do you call trespassing? What you call trespassing? >> That's a warning. >> It's a warning. >> For what? >> For trespassing. >> I'm in her home, not Dian's home. >> You stay here. >> And I don't want to go 15 rounds with you. She has power of attorney. She's asking you to leave. I'm asking you politely. >> No, no, no, thank you. >> Okay, I'm going to get the tickets. >> We got body cameras going now. >> Yeah. And they can get >> Please help me. >> I want to pay. Open the door. Please come. She was >> Thank you. >> Look at the cops are coming here to arrest me. >> I'll get out of the way. >> They're coming. Please arrest me. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> How's it going? >> Oh, I'm sick. All right. >> Trespass and then I was giving you a ticket and if you [clears throat] refuse to leave after that, you were going to leave in handcuffs. Correct. >> Yeah. >> So why why won't you leave? >> My best friend died. I was not notified by them that he died. >> And I haven't been nobody called me. I don't know if he's I heard through the dead and they sent a notice that they the funeral was a day before. So they wouldn't let me come. So I picked out this weekend to come after I get got composed to visit me to go and to go to the cemetery and we did that. My airline ticket leaves tomorrow. I have >> she of many many years you know family my husband >> okay but here's the thing >> you're being asked to leave. You're you about save your wealth. >> I'm saying no I live night >> but you don't have that option. You do not live here. Soon the cracks started to show. Anne spiraled, torn between frustration and desperation, grasping at emotional justifications to cast herself as a victim, not a manipulator. She wanted people to see her as a misunderstood friend, not someone taking advantage. But legally, none of that mattered. From here on out, every act of defiance would be treated as a crime. >> Handcuff me. >> But that will happen. Well, >> they're going to handcuff me. It it will happen if she doesn't choose to leave on her own. And I don't want that. >> I told them my plane ticket goes tomorrow night. >> He He don't want to use >> here. They're going to stay here, >> right? For one more night, >> right? >> And it's not up to her. >> Well, it is up. This is her home. >> It's not up to her. >> It's up to the power of attorney. And the power of attorney is making that decision. But you totally understand what's going on. You're manipulating the situation. >> Well, no. For her asking me to leave to visit my best friend. Are you kidding me? 40 some years. She's gonna have me arrested because she doesn't want me to stay here. >> Can we get her out of here? >> I'll go sit in the in the kitchen. >> Yeah. >> Don't touch me. >> Well, don't block me. >> You're taking up way too much of our time. Is this your purse? >> Look it. >> They won't let me come. >> Don't do it. Don't do it. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Yeah. Excuse me. Excuse me. Let me through. Excuse me. Excuse me. >> Excuse me. >> No. No. No, please. Don't do >> Excuse me. >> Look. I don't. >> All right. We don't want to arrest you, but that's what's going to happen if you don't leave. >> I'm leaving to want to see my airline ticket tomorrow night. >> You're leaving right now? >> No. Cuz I've done nothing wrong. >> Yes, you have. You're trespassing. >> You're trespassing after you've been asked to leave. >> No. >> And now I'm giving you a lawful order to leave. And if you don't, you're obstructing my order. I'm the supervisor that's in charge. Okay. I don't >> She's >> You caused us to take you to the police department. >> No, you did. Your actions. Your actions. >> Why? Cuz I don't. >> Because you're an adult. You were an adult. >> She's an adult lying. >> Yes. >> Yes. >> I'll give you one more chance. >> I've done nothing wrong. You leave on your own accord >> tomorrow. Tomorrow 7:00 >> right now I will not arrest you. >> Okay. I've done nothing wrong to talk. >> I don't know. I mean >> I've done nothing wrong. >> If I get her out I I can't bring you here. Whatever. >> Yes, you can. >> No. They're going to call. >> There are plenty of hotels in town. >> No thank. >> If she has the power of attorney and she calls her name. >> See No. See the power of attorney. It's for health. >> Do you want to get your resisting charge? >> No. See the >> Stop pulling please. You're going to hurt yourself. I'm >> You need a hand. You don't have Thank you. >> I don't want to pull you out. Okay. >> It's only weight and not enough weight to carry down. >> Huh? >> Not enough weight cuz only 8 lbs. >> Even as she stood just steps away from the patrol car, officers gave her one last chance. But Anne's stubbornness sealed her fate. She was arrested, charged with trespassing and obstruction for refusing to leave a home she had no legal right to remain in. That decision could now cost her a $300 fine and a permanent no contact order. On June 29th, 2025, police responded to a call about a man found unconscious behind the wheel. But what started as a medical emergency quickly turned into something far more serious when they discovered his license was suspended and the vehicle was filled with alcohol and drugs. He's passed out on the wheels. Got no container. Just hang hang tight. Keep an eye on him. The next vehicle in, we're going to we'll block it in. Bang order. He's got white powder in the console there. Open up. Open up the car. Na. Keep your hands up and open up the car. Open up the front door. What's up, my man? Unlock the front door now. Unlock it. Put the car in drive. Don't reach for nothing. You understand? Keep your hands up. Just let go. Don't step by the car for me. No, man. >> You got any weapons on you? >> No, sir. >> All right. Turn around for me. Turn. I just want to make sure you don't got any weapons on you. Okay. And then the key is just >> I just Okay. I don't want you reaching for nothing. Okay. Thank you. Just let it go. >> I don't want you reaching for anything. Okay. >> Over here for a sec. And I don't want you to fall. All right. You're not that steady on your feet. Okay. >> Grab a seat right there. Well, you passed out behind the wheel. So, >> all right. Grab a seat for me. >> Passed out behind the wheel. >> Yeah. You've been sitting through these last two light cycles. Passed out behind the wheel there. Okay. Do you have any medical problems? Uh, Guinness open 5.6 alcohol volume cold to the touch. Bag 57 right there in the console. Multiple bags. So, you don't have a valid driver's license. >> What's What's this suspended for? >> Tickets. >> For tickets. That discovery shifted the situation from a routine stop to a full-blown criminal investigation. Realizing the trouble he was in, the man began to panic, doing everything he could to wrigle out of what was coming. >> How much you had to drink today? Anything from last night? >> I can't hear you. >> Everything from last night. >> What's in the car? >> Well, that's that that thing's half drank and cold. It's definitely not from last night. >> What a beer. >> Yeah, the beer that's in the concert. fire from passenger. All right. >> Okay. I've explained to you basically how we've got to where we're at. Okay. You were behind the sleep, behind the wheel there for two light cycles. All right. You have an open container of alcohol in your car. You have some narcotics in your car. All right. But on top of that, you have some bloodshot glossy eyes. >> Okay. You were unsteady on your feet getting out of the vehicle. All right. These are indicators to me of impairment. All right. So based on that, I'm going to request at this time that you can feel you perform field sobriety exercises. Okay. So I can make sure you're safe to drive. >> I ain't going to drive. My mom right there, she can take the damn car. >> Okay. Well, we're we're past that right this second. Okay. Right now we're dealing with what we're dealing with. >> Yes, sir. >> Come over here to this line for me. All right. You may begin. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Turn around. >> I explain the instructions to Yes, sir. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. >> Go ahead and turn around for me. All right. Put your hands together like you're praying for me. >> All right. So, at this time, sir, I am placing you under arrest. Okay. It's going to be for DUI possession of narcotics. driving an unsuspended license with knowledge. Okay. Hey, >> he agreed to a field sobriety test, but failed it almost immediately. When officers moved in to cuff him, he resisted and started making demands, asking someone to hand cash to his mother, who had just arrived on scene. From that moment on, everything escalated. >> Over here, >> relax. What? Why? Why are you acting that way? Cuz you already come on, bro. Okay. Why are you acting that way? Relax. For what? Give my mom my [ __ ] Okay. As soon as I make sure there's nothing in it, I will absolutely give it to her. >> Okay. Well, relax. >> Relax. Could have did all that already. >> Do what you want. Relax. >> Relax. You were nice, [ __ ] You got my hand up in the air. >> You put your hands in the air. >> You got my [ __ ] in the air. Straight up. >> Okay, then put your hands down. There you go. Okay. Nobody did that. You did it. >> What you talking about? >> Then this will go to the county jail. Well, they'll keep >> Go ahead. Go ahead. Well, do what you got to do. >> Well, I don't want to keep But I want to give it to your family. >> Thank you, man. You ain't go ahead. Do what you going to do. >> $97. Okay. >> Yeah. You um >> Which one's mom? >> You are. >> What? What did he I do? I want to see recording. >> I didn't stumble on anything. >> Okay. Well, you don't know how to conduct fields of pride exercise. Number one. Okay. So, you don't know what we see. >> I've seen them done. >> Number one. Okay. Number two, you also don't see the large amount of drugs in the car or the fact that his driver's license is suspended with knowledge or all the other things going on here today that you didn't see, sir. >> So, respectfully, >> back up. Back up. >> Hey, back up. Back up. >> Back up. >> Back up. I'll tase you right now. Back up. >> You making it worse. >> Back up. >> You making it worse now. You're making him on the ground. >> Go hit him. Go hit him now. >> I'm not going to tell you. Back up. >> He's back. That's why he keep back up, but he's not charging him. What the [ __ ] >> Stay off the road. >> Tensions boiled over as his father stepped in, defying officers and challenging their authority. Despite being warned, the man's father kept interfering. Meanwhile, his son was violently resisting, thrashing so hard officers had to take him down. Moments later, he began to seize, forcing officers to call EMS and request backup. >> Okay. >> What's he doing? Pulling away, >> huh? >> Yeah, he wouldn't. >> He said if he was going to West Palm HQ, he's going to fall out. So, here he goes. >> Start a supervisor out this way. Change it to a signal one with a 1015 and start us medics, please. No, we're not going to give him anything. >> No, we're going to have medic come check him out. Just keep him in this in a recovery position on the side. Okay, >> that's all. >> Sir, if you don't stop, you're going to go to jail. >> Hey, put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. No. No. No. We're done. Put your hands behind your back. >> You are under arrest. >> Let me get my wife hand. >> Let me get my wife. >> Back off him now. >> Back up. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Back away from me right now. You have to do it. >> No, you're not going to punch me. >> I'm not trying. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Let me get up. >> Now, >> let me get up. >> It's hard to imagine how many times this family has drained public resources. All to shield someone found passed out at a stoplight, driving on a suspended license, drunk and high. Instead of cooperating, they closed ranks and fought against the very people trying to keep the public safe. >> Hey, calm my hand. >> Get off my hand. I'm not your hand. What the [ __ ] you talking about? Hey, >> exactly. >> Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. I'm I'm cool with you. Stop manhandling me. >> Let's go. >> Can you please let me go? Let me go. You bought this one. I don't care. >> I deserve it. >> Right here. >> You okay? >> Yeah. I got a couple scratches. >> In the end, all three were arrested and taken to jail. The driver was charged with driving on a suspended license, [music] refusing a DUI test, DUI, and possession of a controlled substance. His father was charged with assaulting an officer and obstructing law enforcement. His sister was also charged with assaulting an officer and violently resisting arrest. And on top of that, she had a prior arrest on record. These are serious crimes that could lead to heavy fines, revoked licenses, and time behind bars. Assaulting a police officer and resisting with violence are felonies, and they can carry long prison sentences. On January 16th, 2025, a dropped 911 call triggered an urgent response from police. Officers were dispatched to check on the situation and make sure everyone was safe. But what they found was something no one expected. >> Did you know that? >> Oh, no, I didn't. >> Yes. >> Well, I think usually my mom and I have fights every day. >> Are you okay? >> Are you one of the police cops? But >> I'm sorry. >> One of the cops pulling over the corner. >> No, no, the phone number was attached to you in our records. >> Oh, yeah. I really called. Sorry. I just woke up with her. I'm delirious. We were I don't know what we're doing and she said um yeah so we're just we're actually all just napping and um her her uh counselor is napping. She know >> I'm sorry. What? >> Her counselor is just napping on the couch. She she was she had an appointment she canled. >> So her counselor is napping on the couch. >> Yeah. >> Where? >> Right here. when >> she just literally like pulls covers of her eyes 10 minutes she just pulled covers of her eyes 10 minutes in this house. >> She just she just we were like we're going to go check. Okay. She's like yeah I had already cancelled my next appointment. So um I was >> So the counselor here? >> Yes. where >> she got up. It's really hard to wake up. [snorts] >> Well, why don't you sit if you're having these spasms? >> Sorry. Yeah, I need a medicine. >> What kind of medical history do you have? >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. Can you >> Can I What? >> The woman who answered the door seemed confused, [music] disoriented, and inconsistent in what she was saying. Her state suggested a loss of control, possibly from drug use or medication. She first denied, then admitted to calling 911, revealing a tugofwar [music] between her fading awareness and her instinct to hide something. >> What are you doing? >> Is this just like is a wireless track and stuff? >> Well, we got a 911 call from your phone. Oh, from my phone. >> Yes, from your phone. >> Oh my god. >> I'm kind of concerned >> about your state of being at the moment. >> No, no, no, no. I'm right. Let me just clear this up. >> Is he here? >> Well, if it's past 4:30, he should be here. >> It's not past 4:30. >> 4 It's not past 4. >> 3:30. >> Nope. >> Is it? >> 3:20. >> He could verify last night. >> Okay. So I go into the bank and I roll charging the other day also. I'm in the back. Can I get an ambulance for you just to check her? Um so the thing is is >> I >> I know I'm extremely tired right now because there was a lot going on last night. Um it it was just a mess and so I was going to handle it but I do it tomorrow and I handle what >> handle the mess like >> handle and um I do bother him as he died and he woke up >> freaking out seven There's no came. >> Her mental state began to unravel further, rambling, shifting topics, showing signs of serious cognitive disruption. She mentioned a messy night and expressed concern for someone unnamed, hinting at possible hallucinations or distorted memories brought on by substance use. Guess [screaming] he dropped it. I think she called and one of the times it was a long voicemail like two minutes >> and she's just saying random stuff like that cuz um I'm on the other side. >> What time did you fall asleep? >> Um I fell asleep chill. Okay. No. >> No. >> 8:30 this morning. >> No, no, 8:30 at night. >> You f to sleep. Last went to sleep at 8:30 at night. >> No. >> I haven't been sleeping, Mom. 2 three hours. Just having contact prescriber about it. They're handling it. They're coming up with something to help me sleep through the night. >> Not like knock me out completely. I've never been knocked out. So, what I'm saying, >> well, what what did you take today? >> What I'm saying is is that I do my normal I always normally prescribe medication like what we want to do this weekend and he's like, >> "No, I don't have this right now." That's why I'm like, I'm your [ __ ] right now. >> So, sure enough, I um I go sk. Okay. At what time was this? >> After No, he was happy to see us when picked up. >> What? >> He was happy to see us when he picked up. He came straight from work to pick us up in the j. >> Mommy. >> So, what what what kind of medications did you take today? >> Okay. So, what I'm saying is I take melatonin this and that. So, I took two gummy melatonins. Her fragmented, unclear recollections showed she had lost touch with reality. Erratic sleep patterns and unclear use of medication suggested she might have been trying to cope with a deeper psychological or physical issue, but in a dangerous and unmonitored way. >> Sorry. So yeah, he has been working in 93 $800 in child support. >> So this really hard for us to help us a lot. >> What's that? >> Okay. >> Where are these gummies? You ate the Ben or the the melatonin gummies? How many milligrams are those? Do you know where those are at? >> Oh, I had a baggie. I had literally I was taking more. I had a baggie from our suitcases. >> And how many did you have? >> Two. I can show you online which ones. They're like 5 milligrams. >> And where's the benadryil? >> Well, just tell me. I don't want you to get up because your legs aren't working. >> Um, >> what time did you take those at? You said >> 12:15 because you were saying >> I'm saying what? >> No, I'm telling her. She was saying stuff by 1:00 still and we weren't asleep and Yeah, that's good. sell two hour. Sorry. Because they said she'd be getting lost and loser since she's dating older. >> No. Yeah. No, I was just like I I don't do that. I I don't think really works, but um I used to take it all the time, but it works and it works. But I was um I was so exhausted. Officer's suspicions deepened when she admitted to taking melatonin and bonadil. Though her account kept changing, her judgment appeared to [music] be clouded by delusions. It became clear she was likely self-medicating a serious condition, but in a way that put herself and others at risk. >> Can I talk to you? >> Yeah. Is taking my meds? >> That's not my job. No. >> What are your meds? >> What what what meds would he be? >> Crawler. That That's not >> Well, there's lots of them, you guys. There's lots of them. Can you just not >> We'll worry about that in a minute. >> Okay. But also, she needs to eat. Tell her she needs to eat right now. So, is that is that her is that her father? >> Is that my woman? >> No. >> Okay. Does she Does she know how to take care of her? Does he Does >> No, not his wife. >> She was first taken to the hospital for evaluation, then later to jail. In the end, she was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
