little boy who ran in front of the traffic. I slammed on my brakes. My heart stopped, of course. >> Sometimes tragedy doesn't show up with screams. It shows up in the quiet absence [music] of the one person a child should be able to count on >> and I got mad and then I ended up throwing my phone and I didn't even know it hit until I saw him bleeding. And then >> my daughter, [music] >> don't touch me. [screaming] Don't touch me. Don't hurt my daughter. No. >> A child waiting on mom. An adult spiraling out of control. And the fallout spreads slow and heavy like darkness filling a room. This isn't something you watch just for [music] the shock factor. It's a reminder. Please don't make your child grow up having to raise themselves. [music] On May 4th, 2025 in Ohio, police were dispatched after a 911 call reported a fight and threats when a mother came to pick up her child at the father's home. But once the body cam came on, what unfolded looked nothing like what was originally reported. >> This dude, he told me as I'm I'm knocking on the door, he opened the big door and talked about something. You you He's like, "Okay, I'm getting him ready. You go wait in the car." I'm like, "I'm not waiting in the car." I hang up the phone with him. I call his nana. His nana like, "I'm not in the house right now. I can call his older brother." His older brother came open the door. Now I'm in the house talking to his nephew, the little boy that's sitting on the couch. He talked about he wants to come with me. All type of [ __ ] I'm on the phone with my mom with me. >> So you said you put your hands on him. Grabbed him by his >> Yeah. Well, he was pointing in her face. She said she pulled his hair cuz at this point in time, she got her son in her arms. Why is you making it a problem every time she pick up her son? >> You have a corridor. Does he have like corridor to visitation? >> No. Why do you let him? >> I let him get the baby because of his nana. >> He lives with his grandmother. >> I know. But >> and I told him I just told his nana that I don't want the baby to be un unfreaking supervised without her being around because I don't trust him. He always doing something weird and it's always something that Nana's not around. And now she's with the church and she don't have the baby. I'm I'm asking him like, "How old are you?" >> I'm 23. And so it sounds like to me you're making a huge effort, right, to like drive to a different state >> to let a dude see his kid who causes a problem every single time. >> I gave him to the grandmother, but he causing you the problem. N >> the grandmother had called and asked if she could see the baby trying to do [ __ ] >> So my daughter was under the assumption that the grandmother was going to have the baby. Everybody in that >> mother went to church and the baby because she knew we were leaving out today to go back home. >> She didn't think her grandson was going to give my daughter a problem with picking up the baby because obviously she may not be aware of the all the other problems he didn't gave her when we always go to pick the baby up. >> Yeah. >> So today it was just a different type of problem. Now he put his hands on her. Now he put out a gun on her. >> You know what I'm saying? So, like after today, I doubt if she even bring the baby back up here. >> That's my daughter. I'm not going to we're not going to let him see him no more. >> This moment isn't really about a pickup. It's about power. The mother doesn't show up to make things safer. She shows up to take back the [music] respect she feels was taken from her. She moves like someone who's learned she has to fight just to keep her right to be seen as the mother. And in the background, the grandmother reads like quiet permission, soft enabling without ever saying it out loud. >> Service notes, it states that she called us over here. But she in our call service notes, it's stating that she even stated to the call taker that she slapped him first and then Okay, I just I just wanted without her getting up. I just wanted >> So when she was on she was on FaceTime with me cuz I called her and asked her cuz what time are we getting back on the road to go back to Pennsylvania. She said I'm here getting the baby now. She was banging on the door and I can hear him yelling get the off my door. >> She was like just give me my son so I can leave. So I guess she called his grandmother and the grandmother called the older brother and he came and opened the door >> and um on FaceTime and this is only what I'm witnessing. Um, she walked in the back, she got the baby, the baby's hugging her, he's talking to me on the phone, >> and he I hear him calling her all kinds of and stuff. And I see his finger in the camera like touching her face. >> So I seen her, she pulled cuz he has dreads. She pulled his dreads and said >> like kind of like pushed him back and told him, "Get your finger." >> She was like instigating. >> Yeah. And why she holding her son, called them. She said that they were in the parking lot that my daughter had just called the police and everything. So we sat here, but my son also pulled up too because he don't like me hitting on his sister. >> Yeah. >> So, >> yeah. I mean, I understand that we don't want anything more to transpire. I mean, >> and then I guess he knew he went in the back and got a gun because my daughter was actually about to start fighting him. >> Yeah. >> And he know how my daughter is. She will fight a guy. >> She box. She not supposed to be fighting, but he know like he won't be able to physically beat her street wide. So, he went in the back and got a gun and started pointing at her and told her that she was going to today. in front of another minor child that's in the home. >> Um, is your daughter going to be a little more calm and be able to talk to me, you think, if I try to get that story from her? Cuz I mean, at the end of the day, I mean, I got to hear her statement and stuff and then we want to go talk to him, especially if she doesn't have any visible injuries right now. Um, prosecutors might feel kind of funny about signing a charge. So, I just want to try to uh talk to her and figure out all we have going on. The most dangerous moment is when the mother has the child in her arms. All that tension loads into her body and the child gets pulled in like a piece of the dispute. It's not that she doesn't love her kid. It's that she uses the child as a human shield to protect her anger in the moment. And no little kid deserves to carry that. >> There. Do you have any injuries on you right now? Okay. >> Do you have any injuries at all or anything that I need to be aware of? >> I don't know. Is it a mark on my face? I'm not >> I know I got a busted lip in the inside. >> All right. You want to show me that >> at the top? >> Okay, I'll take a picture of that. >> Too much, bud. Yeah, he still put his hands on me. He's about to get what the he deserve. >> What's your What's your What's your first name? >> He's not listening. >> Can you see what type of vehicle >> you went over there to pick up your child? Okay. You guys started an argument. He was tapping your nose. >> I was knocking on the door so I could get inside the house. The screen door is locked >> and he opened the big door. He's telling me, "Okay, don't rush me." But I already told him about 7 minutes ago that I was on my way. I'm at the smoke shop getting some freaking mouth so I can smoke. >> Okay. >> And I go around there. I'm knocking on the door. He opened the door. He told me to stop rushing him. He's going to get him ready and some more stuff. So I hang up the phone with him. I call his nana. His nana said that she's not at home. She was still at church or something like that. She said she was going to call his older brother. His older brother came open the door. And now I'm in the house talking to their nephew and his nephew all talking to me and while I'm still letting him back there get my son ready. And as I'm done talking to him, I walk in the back of the room where where I know his bedroom is. And I see my son. So I grab my son, he hugging me. I'm talking to him. I take him out in the living room and now he's telling me I'm scared of his girlfriend. She saw me and some more [ __ ] I don't know. But if it was really a problem with his girlfriend and me, why didn't she just beat me up? I walked 20 minutes somewhere and all the way back here kicking my socks off crawling the bed and now she got somebody texting my phone talking about where you at. >> I got the Toyota. >> So what did he like what do you do to your like my face calling me all types of and all types of stuff as I'm holding my son and I >> do what I need the best to defend myself and I pull him by his hair and he turns around he slap me. Now everything drops out of my hand. My son is on the couch. His brother talk about he's doing too much and some [ __ ] After he saw me, he ran to his room, grabbed the gun, waving it in my face, talking about I was going to some more [ __ ] So, I'm trying to call my brother. My brother's not answering the phone. So, I she my mom end up calling her because the phone got knocked out of my hand. So, she don't know what's necessarily going on. >> Her behavior shows she's looking for instant punishment, a fast police intervention that restores her personal control. The officer, meanwhile, stays locked on sequence and evidence. When she's repeatedly pressed about who started the physical conflict, she doesn't pause to weigh what this is doing to the child. She stays focused on defending her emotional status and staying right. >> You're going to listen to me. You're going to listen to me. You're going to listen to me, okay? Cuz you're not listening to me, okay? You keep saying that. You're going to go to jail, okay? He's not going to go to jail. You just admitted to me that you pulled his hair and then he slapped you. Okay? So, technically, you started the fight and now you're telling that he's going to That's not poke into my face. You're not understand. Diamond, I'm trying to be very calm with you and try to explain this to you. I'm trying to keep you from getting hemmed up. Okay. But you are digging yourself a hole hole. Okay. >> You are literally saying he's going to end up stuff like that. That's not good. Okay. That's all in my body. Okay. Would you like to go to jail to keep from arresting her right now? And she's not understanding this. Okay. He keeps saying she keeps saying he's going to end up stuff like that if we don't do something. One, she pulled his hair first. She started the physical altercation here. Yes, he that's still I mean as men, you know, we don't want to be putting our hands on women, right? But she started a physical altercation. She's now stating that he's going to end up we don't do anything. She could go to jail. Okay. Especially it's all on body cam. So if anything happens to him, you have enough to rest diamond right now. I know >> for what she's saying. Okay. >> Cuz she don't have no weapon. We don't >> No, I understand. I understand that. So what it's called is aggravated menacing. I know she's very upset. Okay. But I'm trying to explain something. She admitted to me on body cam. Okay. Yes, he was in her face, but she grabbed his dreads first and that's when she got slapped. Okay. She physically grabbed him first. >> That's what I told you. I said she feel like she can beat the man. >> But my point is is like she start she's starting that. Yes. He's in her face and that's I mean obviously I mean we got the we got the kid. I mean look he's been crying, right? And we want to think of the kids. Can I talk to you for a minute again? >> All right. I'm just going to move you behind your back. Okay. Why? Can you take my stuff out my pocket? >> Yeah, we will. >> So, right. >> I don't understand. She's just upset. >> I I explained that to you, though. I I mean, I explained everything to both of you >> to for her to be careful, and she was not careful >> cuz she's upset. >> I I I get that, but still, that doesn't that doesn't change things. >> Police try to serve as the anchor so the situation doesn't cross the line, but the mother just wants to win right now. Once she's cuffed, she flips into blaming the entire system. The grandmother says it's because she was sad. But here's the problem. Being sad doesn't explain losing control. And letting that slide is what makes it truly dangerous. >> My AirPod, >> we have an officer that will grab it all out. >> Okay, look. Get my AirPod on the ground right there. >> All right, we'll get there. All right, let's take her over there. >> Clen, over here. Unless you need gloves. What are you doing? >> I can't eat my gun. >> Stop. What's that? >> Like I said, >> just chill out. >> I told you, Diamond. >> That's a handcuff. >> All right. >> Yeah, we're we're not speeding through anything. We're take we're going to make sure everything's taken care of and we do everything correctly. >> So, y'all still not going over there to him? >> I'm going to go over there. I I since you guys are family, let me talk to you guys over here real quick. Okay. So, like I explained to both of you guys numerous times, I told her to stop saying what she was saying. She proceeded to keep saying that he's going to end up. Okay, this does not mitigate anything that happened over there. Okay, where she's hemmed up right now is what she was saying in front of us. Okay, we're still going to do our due diligence and go over there. But her stating multiple times after we've told her to stop, okay, that he's going to end up, okay, is domestic violence menacing because they share a child in common. And in the state of Ohio, domestic violence is a preferred arrest. Okay. >> On us. All right. Cuz there was talk of a gun. That's why I'm asking. All right. >> Oh, you must talk to the female. >> Uh, yep. So, what's going on today? >> Basically, she came to pick my son up. Um, I simply told her when she got here, she could wait inside the car, you know. Nobody was being rushed or anything. She said she didn't want to wait. So I said, "Okay." I waited, got him dressed, got my bag. >> I told her, I told my people not to let her in the house cuz I knew how she was going to act and I knew how she was. My nana texted my brother said, "Let her in the house. This is her house." He let her in the house. Simple. I said, "Okay, give me five minutes." Got the bag ready. Got the clothes ready. I said some little [ __ ] She said some little [ __ ] [clears throat] Went back and forth. I gave him my son. As soon as I'm turning away, pull my hair yanked me. So I mushed her on her face like out of the house. >> And then and then after I did that, after I did that, she come outside throwing [ __ ] at my nana's window, banging on the door. >> You can't you cannot come here. You cannot come here and think you about to run [ __ ] You don't you don't do that, bro. >> Let them know this ain't the first time. >> And this is Who's Nana? >> That's Nana in a dress. >> Okay. All right. Do you mind if I talk to you inside real quick? >> Okay. I I raised my sons not to hit women at all. And if push come to shove, now I don't do the violence, but if push come to shove, he got my daughter right here and me to handle the women that that don't know how to handle theelves. >> But I refuse for my son to get a domestic violent charge. He's a good boy. In the end, the woman is taken to jail and faces charges tied to serious [music] threats and domestic violence under Ohio law based on repeated threats to harm and her admission that she helped start the altercation. If convicted, penalties may include up to 180 days in jail, fines up to $1,000, a no contact order, plus ripple effects on custody rights, and a lasting criminal record. Childhood pain often starts with something that seems small and ends as a memory that never fully heals. On August 9th, 2025, police responded after neighbors saw an 8-year-old boy dart into heavy traffic and nearly get hit. No adult was with him. He didn't know a parent's phone number and then he suddenly ran back home, setting off a bunch of scary questions. >> Uh, what's this? >> How old are you? >> Eight. >> Eight. >> What are you doing out here? 8 years old by yourself. Where's your mom? >> She's there. >> Hello. Hello. Sheriff's Department. Where's your parent? >> Where is your parent? >> He went to work. What? >> Call them now. >> I don't have a phone. >> You don't have a phone? >> I don't know their number. >> You don't have a phone programmed? >> Do you know their phone number or something? >> So, how long you been here by yourself? >> Huh? >> You got a brother? >> No. >> You live in your home? >> Mhm. >> Why you ran away from us? >> So, he was going to enter a restaurant. No, we're not. We're not going to arrest you. Didn't your mom Didn't your mom and dad tell you not to run away from the police? Just wait right here. All right. The problem isn't the kid's behavior. It's the skills gap that comes from being left without guidance for a long time. An 8-year-old who doesn't know how to find an adult for help is often a kid who's gotten used to figuring things out alone. And the first officer's stiff approach accidentally makes that gap even more obvious. >> Hello. >> All right. How you doing, man? Mhm. >> All right. >> How about I have anything? >> Mom is not home. Do you have any information for her? Like a phone number or something? >> Yeah, but she usually here too. >> He almost got hit by a car. >> He got hit. >> He almost got hit by a car. He was found wandering out on >> the you. >> Well, he's not supposed to be home alone like this. >> No, you're not. The uncle is there. >> Who? >> The uncle. >> He's there. The uncle not here. >> You said his name's Dave, right? >> Yeah. Usually he come here when he's >> Nobody's there. We're knocking on the door. Nobody's answering. >> I got so busy. I have to do something. I have a baby and I have doing work at home. >> Understand. Do you have phone numbers for >> Yes. Let me let me get it. Get my phone. >> Okay. >> Upstairs. >> Thank you so much. >> Hello. Hi, Miss Hunter. >> This is her. >> Hi. How you doing? This is Deputy Store. Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The reason why we're calling is because Haven, he was found wandering in traffic and almost got hit by a car >> and then we end up following him to here cuz he ran all the way back to his house. >> Who? >> So he eloped cuz he elopes. He's Oh my god, this damn child. >> He what? >> He elopes. >> What's elop? I've never heard that term for a child. >> Elo when like a child wanders. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Well, I understand. But the thing is, who is supposed to be here watching him? >> He's He's with Menende at 6 cuz my uncle just left for work. >> No, he's not. He's been in the house by himself. >> Yeah, he's supposed to be in her care. >> Yeah, but he never made it to her care. That's all right. >> So, we're supposed to arrest her for child neglect and not you? >> It's not a matter of child neglect. >> This is a matter of child neglect. There's somebody not watching this kid. There's nobody here parenting him. He doesn't know how to call for help. He doesn't know anything. and he doesn't have a phone or anything to call. >> I don't know what's going on. >> Ma'am, I'm sorry, but you need to come home like right away. >> What's alarming here is how unreasonable this is. The child doesn't know basic safety info. He can't even remember his mom's phone number, something he absolutely should have been taught. He runs out in just his underwear, nearly gets killed while the mother keeps saying she doesn't understand what happened, even though the officers are spelling it out plainly. >> Tell me, why are we here? What happened? We are driving or we're here today because I was driving. So I was heading south. Um and right before I came to maybe and there was a little boy who ran in front of the traffic. I slammed on my brakes. My heart stopped of course. I don't remember. I think I dropped my son off at Astro. I went back to the mobile to see Well, no. I did go in the gas station, too. And I I explained to this young boy. I said, "Do you understand that I almost killed you with my car?" He didn't understand. He was looking at me. He was like, "Huh?" I was like, "Where's your parents?" I was thinking they were across the street, maybe. I mean, I was just keeping an eye on him. So, I walked out of the Shell gas station. I dropped my son at Astro and then I went to the mobile gas station thinking he's either going to come across the street, maybe he's here, maybe I could tell his parents, maybe something. So I see him then come out of the Shell gas station and again he ran into the street >> while cars were still >> while cars were follow while cars were coming. >> Okay. >> Um I didn't pay too much attention but I did follow him home. He almost got hit over here too because he crossed the street and a car had to swerve here. >> Oh going down. >> No going right here in this neighborhood. >> Oh wow. Okay. >> Somebody was coming in the because I followed him all the way home and somebody was >> I stayed on the phone with 911 and I kind of kept a distance from him. >> Yes. So, as they were turning this bend right here, he crossed the street, didn't even look again, and almost got hit. That car had to swerve whoever was coming out of this neighborhood. Um, so then I pulled up next to him. I was like, "Do you need a ride home? Where's your parents?" >> Yes. >> And he was not answering me. He like kept like fast walking like to get away from me. >> Mhm. >> And then I saw him just come here and then an officer pulled up next to me and they said they got it and I left. >> So, just for the record, I just want to make sure did at any time did you see any adult near? >> There was no adults. The boy moves fast to avoid strangers, stays quiet, and doesn't know who to turn to. An unsettling survival reflex. If that patient woman hadn't stayed with him, called 911, and walked him back safely, the ending could have been tragic. And when the mother finally shows up after work, the true depth of the neglect starts to come into focus. >> Hi, good story, the one you were talking to, and that's Deputy Brown. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> How are you? You want to >> you want you want us to here or you want to talk to her by our house or something? >> By your house? >> Oh, daughter. >> Yeah. >> Y car. Um and we um law enforcement waiting here for a parent. How long y'all been waiting for? >> We've been here from right about 7:00. Yeah. >> So about 2 2 hours and 30 minutes. >> Mhm. >> I got to ask you a few questions. What do you current work? >> I do multiple stuff. Um I have my own business. I do wholehealth. So it depends. >> You have any other children? >> No, just him. >> Who all live in the home? >> Me, him, and my uncle. My uncle. My uncle's home. >> He's home. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Cuz I was report that he was at work. >> Yeah. He's home when he got home. >> Since when? Cuz we knocked on the door. >> He passed you guys. >> He passed us. >> The guy in the black security suit. >> No, we didn't see nobody in black. >> You didn't see nobody in the security suit? >> Yeah, he was on the phone. He said I thought he I thought I heard him say like high officer or something our evening. >> No. >> Yeah, he's inside. >> So what's his what is his name? >> Dave. Dave. >> Dave. >> We've been sitting there the whole time. Ain't nobody walk past us. >> You sure? >> You can check with him. He's upstairs. D A V E. >> So normally he's if my uncle's home, he's he'll stay with my uncle. >> So when you left today, was your uncle home? >> No, my uncle wasn't home today. He and he got home ear earlier than I did, but he normally stays with my neighbor or her daughter comes over. >> So with the instant day, so you you can't verify that he actually went over there cuz I cuz >> he went this way, but to verify that he actually like went in the house. I didn't see that part, but he always goes over there. I've never had any issues with him not going over men. >> Instead of owning it, I didn't confirm the babysitter. She keeps rebuilding a story where the child did have supervision and was still safe. The tension isn't in her volume. It's in the short repetitive questions and the little contradictions stacking up. Piece by piece, it leads to the same clear conclusion. No verified guardian was ever actually seen. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Should I call him down? >> I probably you come down. So you come outside. We got to speak to you. What is it? >> Someone outside has to speak to you. I >> think DC has to talk. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's the DC. >> Did you go to work today? >> Sure I did. >> So when you went to work today, was here? >> I went to work this morning. 15 minutes to 10. I left him. He didn't wake. >> So when you left him, his mom was here. Correct. >> Both of them were here. >> What time did you return home? >> I leave her 8:35. >> What time you got here tonight? What time I get tonight? Yeah. What time? >> I'm telling you, when I leave, we deliver 8:35 p.m. I have to take a Uber. I work at Wellington. >> So, I reach here about 5 minutes to 9 somewhere nearby there. That's my regular time. >> His mom was at work that night. Where will he be? >> If his mom is at work that night, >> yeah, where will Haven be? >> If I'm here with you, I mean, if I'm here, he'll be here with me. If I don't go to work, you'll be here. >> Okay. So I'm saying so both you guys working like today like tonight where would you come home at 9 where would be? I >> I don't know. I don't understand this. >> Both of you guys going to work at the same time right? Where would Haven know me stay? >> That that don't happen right now. >> Okay. But if it did happen where would where would Haven be? >> I think she left him by the neighbor around there. >> Okay. Okay. Thank you. That's all. >> All right. So you understand the whole circumstances of everything how this all works right this time. You're under arrest for child neglect. Yes. As far as your child, would you like your neighbor to keep your child playing with her? >> I think I need to call my mom cuz I don't know who's >> wrong. Resty. >> All right. >> Is that okay? >> Yeah. Yeah, that's fine. >> To the left. Left. >> Can we go this way? >> I prefer this way. >> But our cars are right here. >> Oh, you >> wait. Can you Can you close it? Yeah. Only in Florida. I'm getting arrested. This is This is crazy. >> I'm a little boy. >> Oh my god. >> This mother flips the consequences [music] into a broken system narrative to protect her image. In the end, she's taken to jail and faces child endangerment neglect accusations for leaving an 8-year-old alone for hours with no supervision and no real way to get help, creating an obvious risk of death. Possible outcomes can include arrest, probation or short jail time, fines up to $1,000, DCF involvement, parenting classes, and potential custody limits depending on severity and prior history. When irresponsibility hurts kids, it also teaches adults that hitting people might come with no real consequences. On September 30th, 2025, a 911 call reported a domestic altercation happening right in front of children. Police were dispatched to secure the scene, verify violence, and stop things from escalating. What they encountered, though, revealed a story far more complicated than the call suggested. All right. I know uh I'm sure the other officer asked you everything, but can you just go through it with me again? So, you guys are sleeping in bed in your in the first room on the left? >> Yeah, me and um he broke in with a butter knife. >> And that was to open the door. He didn't like wave it at you or >> No. No. Yeah, but like the door was literally locked. I tried to. >> Is that where you guys both usually sleep? >> No. Usually, she has her own like bed and everything. And >> is that So, that's your room, not her room. No, it's her one of her brother's rooms, actually. He has two other kids. >> Okay. But they're not here, right? >> No. Okay. >> Where do you Where do you and Mark normally sleep? >> In that room. >> In the front room. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, >> he was out. >> He comes in. Was the argument in the room or was it out of the room? >> It was in the room, but then it was when he he literally woke me up. I don't know why because I don't know why. >> Okay. And I was like half awake at the time. We were just I was like, "Why are you even in here?" Like, "Get away." And he wouldn't go away. And then I stood up at the point. I'm like holding her. I'm like, "Why are you even in here?" And when I stood up, he like went and laid in the bed and started like laughing. This is my kid, but like just being an [ __ ] >> Okay. and I got mad and then I ended up throwing my phone at him and then he gets up and starts laughing at me. >> Did the phone hit him? Cuz I know he's got a mark on his head. >> Yeah, it like I didn't even know it hit him until I saw him bleeding and then but yeah, it did. Um the top of his head. Um >> this is the kind of storytelling meant to legalize feelings, not uncover truth. She frames herself as violated to justify her anger while keeping distance from the consequences. The calm tone of her narration sharply contrasts with the child's role here. Not someone to be protected, but an emotional properly. Oh, you're okay. >> Oh, you're okay. >> Okay. Okay. >> You're okay. It's okay. Let me kiss it. Let me kiss it. It's okay. Um, >> so then you guys get out of the room >> and then, well, no, actually, and then I uh he got out and went to like wash his face or whatever. I ended up going back into the bedroom with her and I literally moved I moved the bed in front of the door. >> Just turned into like like he didn't want to talk. We were just start like it was just yelling again. >> Okay. And then it was a bunch of like back. >> What was the yelling about? Just him being in the room. >> Me? Why are you Yeah. Like what are you doing? We wereing asleep. Why are you in here right now? Like you weren't even know about it. >> Okay. >> Um and then there was Yeah. multiple every single time we were arguing it was cuz he kept coming back by me. I never was trying to be by him. And then there he was like in my face and like just um like making these stupid like you know like just you know what I'm saying? And I he was like in my face and my bed is >> okay. Where was that at? In the kitchen or in the hallway? >> Like right outside the room kind of thing? >> I don't know. Maybe it was in the I don't know. >> Okay. Is it your dad or his dad in the basement? >> Mine. >> Okay. >> All right. Did he hear anything? Did he ever come upstairs? >> No. >> All right. Do you think he heard anything? >> He probably did. I don't know, though. I feel like my um my dad and like Mark are like weird. They're like friends. >> Okay. Better good relationship at least. >> But yeah, >> all right. Even a laugh becomes an insult. In her logic, he deserves punishment. Moral exemption kicks in. Not to injure, but to teach a lesson. And with a child watching, the pressure to win right now and hold status inside the home pushes everything to the edge. >> You hit him in the phone >> in the head. >> Thanks, Mark. I don't care. >> I mean, I do care, but like, why did you get back inside? Go back inside. You think this is Here we go. >> All right. Alyssa, can you do me a favor? >> I just need to take some photos of you. Do you have any injuries on you from any of this incident? Okay. Would you mind um either putting in the stroller or if she's okay just walking around? Okay. Let me just take a photograph of you. Okay. Uh, no bruises, injuries, nothing from today. >> Can you just put your hands up for me? Thank you. >> Phone. Okay. All right. Can you come over here for a second, Elissa? I got to talk to you. All right, listen to me. >> I know it's not a good situation for you, especially with the drinking and all that, okay? >> But, you know, we can't hit people. We can't bite people. We can't throw stuff at people. Okay. >> Right. >> I know. What's your What's your dad's name in the basement? >> Scott. >> Scott. Okay. How long has he been living here for? Mark, these are not the ones. >> They're in the bedroom, my thing. >> These are not the right ones. >> Um, >> has he been living here with you guys the whole time? >> Those are Logan. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> Has he been living with you guys the whole 2 years? >> No. Um, oh my god, I'm so sorry. >> She never pauses to see her child standing in the middle of the chaos. She's busy guarding a wounded ego. The lack of visible injury says something important. This is about power, not self-defense. Knowing it was wrong but not feeling it is a familiar sign of shallow awareness where emotion has blown past self-control. >> Like rehab, whatever. But >> for him or for you? >> For him. >> Okay. >> But no, no, either one of us. >> Do you drink too or just smoke or? Um, okay. Like I don't I drink, but I don't get >> socially drunk. No, not I don't even do anything socially. I just >> like if I I'll make a drink every now and then here and takes me forever to even drink it. But um yeah. Okay. I mean he >> Where are we going? >> Just walking around. He um I will say he didn't want to really talk to me about what happened. Um more of trying to protect you, right? >> Not really. He's does I mean he's >> So how long have you guys been together? So you've been living here for 2 years, but how long have you been together for? >> Like four. >> Okay. >> So together for two. Had your daughter. >> Right when I Yeah. I >> I've wanted to be with him since the night and I found out I was pregnant. >> Gotcha. Sounds like you guys need some kind of family therapy, right? To get drinking or whatever or tempers under control. Whatever you guys are doing now is not really working. >> You know what I mean? >> Yep. We're having trouble with shoes. Sorry, Alissa. >> Um, I don't know. >> You got to like I get it. >> I don't freaking know anything. >> Um, all right, Elissa, come here. >> All right. I got to place you in a rush for domestic battery. Okay. >> What the >> She doesn't ask if her child is okay. Instead, police step into the protector role, trying to steer the moment away from punishment and toward repair. This isn't cold cruelty. It's impulsive behavior wrapped in constant self-justification. And that kind of chaos is exactly what sinks deepest into a child's memory. >> Go to the Darian Police Department and then we'll get you all the information we need. Okay. Here. >> Can you can you just tell that he needs to >> to freaking tell my sister to tell someone that I might not go to work tomorrow? >> Yeah, absolutely. And you can make phone calls, too. Okay. It's not a big deal. >> Can you make sure the dog gets back inside? >> Yes, I will. >> Yeah. >> What's the dog's name? >> Louie. >> Louie. >> Blue. >> Louie. Okay. And I'll get your shoes before we leave. Okay. Besides your phone, your purse, your wallet, anything else you need? >> I don't even need that. >> You don't need it? What about your phone for phone numbers or anything? >> Do you have everything memorized? Cuz you'll be able to make plenty of phone calls. So, I want to make sure you have the opportunity to do that. Okay. All right. All right. I'm just going to go across your chest. Okay. Do you have anything that's going to poke your safety? >> Would you mind taking the dog back when you get a chance? Thank you. Do >> you have anything on at all? >> I'm going to grab your phone. So, >> the best I could do with shoes that I can find. >> Thank you. >> I'll grab your phone just in case. Okay. So, you have it. Come on. This is really messing your feet. So, >> all good. >> Yeah. >> Okay. If you want to put your shoes on, I'm just going to double lock your cuffs so they don't tighten up on you. Okay. All right. Go on the other side of my car. Okay. Out right here for me. Just unlock the back door. >> All right. Seat first. >> There's a little pocket behind you. Give you a little bit more room for your hands. Okay. >> My sergeant grabbed Bluey. So, he's back in the house. I'm going to grab your phone. Are you sure there's not anything else that you need? >> Okay. And then we're going to go. In the end, the woman is taken to jail and faces domestic violence charges for throwing a phone that injured her boyfriend. If convicted, typical penalties can include up to 90 days in jail, fines up to $2,500, 2 years of probation, a no contact order, mandatory anger management/DV counseling, and possible CPS review since it happened in front of a child. From the illusion of moral exemption inside the home, the camera opens the door to a far darker truth, one that follows the child straight into the classroom. On May 25th, 2024, police responded after a school [music] reported that a classroom discipline incident had crossed the line, raising concerns that a teacher put hands on a student. The event was caught on camera. DCF [music] was notified and officers had to verify exactly what happened. >> You this guy here? Oh, okay. Yeah. Where'd you get it from? >> Uh, somebody just dropped me off. That's all. >> All right. I just want to talk to you real quick about like the whole school thing. >> Yeah, cuz I need to talk about that cuz I'm confused. >> Okay. >> I am really confused about this. >> Uh-huh. >> I am. >> Okay. Well, I'll wait for my partner to come talk. >> No problem. >> Yeah. >> This good enough right here? >> Yeah, you're fine right there. That's fine. >> All right. Yeah. I'm so uh I was so confused, man. I've been there. I've been doing that going on 26 plus years. >> Yeah. They said that you were hired there in like 2013 or something like that. >> No, we know what it was. I was hired in 98. >> See, it used to be county ed took over, but then neutral took over. So, I've been there like 26 years. >> Okay. Um I'm going to I'm going to read you your rights just cuz like I said, the school called DCF. >> I'm going to jail. >> Well, I didn't say you are. You aren't. Oh, >> I'm just saying I have some questions for you about the whole thing. >> Well, before I ask you any questions, I have to advise you if you're right. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. >> You have the right to remain silent. >> Did you get a phone call today from them? >> Yes. >> And what exactly did they say? >> Um, they said there was an incident with >> today between him and another teacher. >> Okay. >> Um, they said that uh the teacher disciplined him. >> Um, they caught it on camera, but they couldn't really specify if he did or not. They were telling me at first, >> but um >> Did they show you the video? >> Yes. And I'm trying to get access to it within a day or two. >> Okay, I'll deal with them. >> She's the director. I'm her supervisor. >> We We've been dealing with this all day. >> I was going to say I saw it happen like 11 something a.m. >> Yeah. >> When it happened, we took care of it immediately. >> Did the police get called at that time or No. >> No. Um what we and what we do is internal we call DCF. We've already called DCF. We've already called licensing. Um, >> yeah, we do self-report. >> Sure. Yeah, I figured as much. >> Um, >> he's been terminated. >> What stands out is how proactive the principal is. She moves fast. Termination, pushing to pull his teaching credentials and contacting DCFS. Meanwhile, the suspect tries to use his years in education like a shield, like his resume should protect his identity. But once the timeline and evidence get lined up, the truth starts to lock into place. What happened was was having issues in his classroom. His teacher was initially bringing him to me. >> Okay. >> And Mr. Robinson Kate was standing in his doorway and told her, he kind of intercepted her bringing him to me. >> Oh, so it's not his teacher. It was a different teacher. >> Yeah, it was a different teacher. Um, and when he did, he said he was going to talk. Well, he took him in the bathroom and brought him back out to his teacher. And at that time, I heard crying in the hallway. So I went out there and I asked him what was wrong and he kept saying he did it. He did it. So I told the teacher I said let me bring over here in my office. Let me calm him down and I sat um down you know put had some calming music on. >> Sure. >> And let him you know relax and breathe and he ended up coming down and so he kept saying he did it. He did it. Well Mr. said she was like yeah Mr. Robinson said that um he would talk to him. So I was like okay let me go back and review the camera so the baby keeps saying he did it. True. >> So when I reviewed the cameras and that's when I seen that Mr. Orson had took a bed into the bathroom and I seen the same go like this. >> Can I see the video? >> Yes, you can. [music] >> Do you understand each of these rights? I have explained to you. >> Yeah, I understand. >> Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me? >> Yeah, I'll talk to you. >> Okay. >> So, what exactly? >> What exactly happened yesterday? >> Okay. What happened yesterday is I'm confused cuz they called me in the office and they said, "Uh, Mr. Robertson, the lady on the she was on the three-way phone, right? >> Mhm. >> And she was the uh head start director. I'm sending you home for the day because uh you were seen whooping a child Mason in the bathroom. >> Mason. Who's Mason? That's what they told me. Boy talking about >> they told me Mesa. That's why I'm confusing. The school confirms the conduct and officially frames it as misconduct. He responds by pivoting away from what he did and into identity games, names, mixups, technicalities, classic distraction. What he doesn't realize is the police have already watched the full security footage. >> I went to the bathroom. Let me stand up. So they the girl brought him down there. I went to the bathroom and I told him, "You need to stop doing what you doing. You need to stop. You so hardheaded. You come to school to Ike up and show out. You see the video? >> I watched the video. Yeah, >> that's all that's all I was doing is how come both go from Mason Coleman this director >> told me that. And then filler uh uh Ashley Bar. Now y'all telling me it's a bagel. She see me every day. She don't know. She just know me by. They call me Uncle Pocket. So that's what she know me by. >> Okay. Yeah. So I go from Mesa and so they had the door closed, right? So I was down like this. You need to stop doing what you do. You don't come to school to show and blah blah this and that. That's all I was doing. >> That's all that was. >> Okay, I'm going to be straight up with you, right? I watched the video. That does not look like what happened. Okay, >> but the you don't they don't see me hitting nobody or doing nothing to nobody. >> That's pretty clear. Yeah, you swing back your arm and you come forward. >> No, I was doing this, but but the door was Why >> the door's only It's a half door. It stops half. >> But they didn't see me hitting him or nothing. But I don't understand how I go from Mason to >> I don't know about that part of it. I know that after that incident in the bathroom, he left the class and he like was crying in the hallway and then >> he came down the whole crowd. >> Correct. Yeah, I know. >> Yep. So, >> yeah. >> Okay. So, you're saying you didn't hit him at all? >> No, I didn't hit him at all. >> So, why would he say that he >> I don't know, but I didn't hit him. >> Right. Cuz when they talked to you about it in the office, she said that you told her that you were given permission by mom to help him pull up his pants cuz he's diaper training. >> That was a totally different child. >> He uses the door to block the camera's view. One of the biggest tells is that he knew he was in trouble before police ever arrived. He buys himself time to build a new story, but the story doesn't hold together. The evidence chain paints the same brutal reality. He blew up his own career over one wrong act against a child who wasn't even his student, you know. >> Well, listen, that that's what they said. I watched the video. It seems to be consistent with I just not damn time down here. I was down like this. You need to stop doing what you doing cuz you ain't come to school to show why. >> Okay. All right. So, here's the deal, right? Just put your hands behind your back. Uhhuh. >> And turn around. >> Can I call my son while I want to lock my door? >> Turn around. >> Okay. Call your son. Okay. >> Here. Face him. Turn that way. There you go. >> All right. So, you are going to be placed under arrest. Okay. >> Okay. >> Just put your hands together like you're praying. Well, like palms together. There you go. Yeah. >> Perfect. They too tight or they good? They >> What's this over here? >> Oh, that's the hell I need that. >> Okay. Yeah, we can. >> You want to take your phone or you want to leave it in the house? >> Well, I want to call him. >> Okay. Yeah, we can do that. >> Uh, >> all right. I got your phone. I got your wallet and stuff. Let's go to my car real quick. >> I can't take them. >> They're not going to let you take those into jail, though. >> What about do with that address? Huh? >> That just dropped on the floor. Tell them what you think it is. >> I just grabbed them and put open the door and put it on the thing. >> I think I got another one. Do I need my wallet? >> If you want it, if you don't want it, we can put it in the house for you. >> I would say take it with you because then you'll have a credit card and stuff when you get out. You can get a taxi home. >> Or you can whatever. Call your son and come get it. The door's open. >> Yeah. You said you have another extended engine in your pocket. >> This will be a determinant. >> The narrative slips out of his hands and every sentence pulls him further from the truth. When status collapses, people cling to tiny details to feel like they still have control. But what hits viewers hardest is this. If there hadn't been video, what would that child have had to be believed? >> I called you at like 4 in the afternoon. Turn. >> I can't speak to my phone. >> What job are you at? >> I've been working at UPS. Oh, I thought you meant at the school. >> Oh. Uhuh. >> I didn't know you had two jobs. >> Yeah, I've been for two years. >> Oh, okay. All right. We'll take all your stuff. All right. Cool. So, let me ask you this then. Your your son just called you like a few minutes ago, right? >> No, I came from that way. >> No, no, no. Your son called you cuz I heard him talk to you on the phone. >> Yeah. >> He called you in front of me, right? And then he said that >> he asked me how long I'mma be. Yeah. Told him I was on the way. >> No, he you said you at your girlfriend's house and you weren't coming home. >> No, I didn't say that. >> That's what he told me. >> No, I told him I'll be there in a few minutes. >> Okay. >> And so why didn't you call me back? >> Well, you ain't need no number for me. >> I called you like five times yesterday. And I left you a message on my phone. >> I left you a message like 10 minutes ago. Put >> it on my phone. >> Yeah. Your number's uh 16. >> I let my son know, right? Okay. Is it open? How do I open it? >> What? >> Your son? >> No, my son. >> Yeah. You said you want me to call your son, right? >> Yeah, he in that blue car. >> Oh, he's in the car. Okay. Oh, no. >> I'll put the uh air on real quick. All right. >> In the end, the man is arrested and faces a child abuse [music] charge. Money penalties and jail time might be temporary, but the heaviest consequence is permanent. His work, reputation, and everyday life. And honestly, he may rebuild his life in some way, but his name and honor will likely never fully come back. When DCF steps in because power got abused, the story doesn't slow down. It snaps straight into the next danger. A minivan rolling onto an airport runway. On September 5th, 2025, police responded to an almost unheard of report. A minivan had entered an active runway at an airport in Washington. Once the area was locked down and everyone was identified, the biggest question wasn't what happened. It was how a vehicle got past airport security in the first place. [clears throat] >> Thank you. >> Hi there. >> Hi. >> My name's Officer Kid. I have to let you know you're being recorded. So, what's going on? How did you get into the airport? >> I don't know. I just followed Yeah. Did you come through a gate? I don't know. I just followed the Can you take the car off for me? >> Sure. >> Thank you. Um, and it didn't take you through a gate or anything like that. >> I don't think so. I just followed the route that it said to go. >> Okay. Cuz that's not realistic because it would never take you onto a secured airport lot because it says it sounds like when they found you, you were on the taxi way where planes drive and land. >> Okay. which is a a big deal that you were on the taxi way. >> Yeah, I didn't I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry. I was just trying to get back home. >> Okay. Have you had anything to drink today? >> I mean, I just had a drink at brunch. >> Okay. Do you have keys for the car? >> Yes. >> Can I snag your room really quick? >> Sure. Do >> you mind stepping out of the car for me, please? >> Sure. >> What was your first name? My apologies. >> Linda. >> Linda. Okay. Thank you. And we're going to walk right back here to my car. Okay. That's perfect right there. Um, so you can look at me. There you go. Um, my concern is that you've had something to drink today that you now are impaired and you're driving on a secured airport property where planes are taxiing and now you're putting people at risk of being harmed because you're driving on a taxi way. Is that clear? >> Okay. >> Okay. Would you want to do some tests for me? Make sure you're safe to drive today. >> Sure. >> Okay. So, I'm going to we're going to come back here cuz there's a nice there's nice lines on the road. Makes our life >> She tries to shrink a life-threatening danger into an innocent mistake. Like she simply took a wrong turn, but no GPS routes you through a secured gate onto a taxi way. That's the moment her story loses traction. And when the story breaks down, the body starts talking. Clear signs of impairment surface. No argument needed. >> Can you see my pen? >> Yes. >> Can you see where my finger meets the pen? >> Yes. >> All right. So with your eyes and your eyes only without moving your head, can you follow the pen? >> Yes. >> Okay. There you Blake. Sorry. Looks like your eyes are watering. Don't not trying to blind you. So this next test is called the walk and turn. What I'm going to have you do is plant your left foot on that line. Put your right foot directly in front of it and your hands down. >> Okay. Now you go back three. Just do the test as I instructed. [clears throat] Perfect. Thank you so much. Okay. Um, so for this test, go and put your feet together, hands on your side, just like you're doing. This test is called the one leg stand. So, what you're going to do is raise whichever foot you would like. I don't care. Approximately 6 in off the ground. Keeping your foot parallel to the ground. You're going to look down and you're going to count aloud. 100 1,002 1003 until I tell you to stop. Okay. All right. You may begin when you're ready. Code for fields. >> When was your last drink? >> I don't know. Like 30 minutes ago. I don't know. >> Okay. Well, right now you're going to be under arrest for DUI. Put this head on on top of your head, please. Oh, no. Would you be okay if I Is your watch a stretchy band or is it have a buckle? Feet on the bumper for me. I'm going to read you something, then I'll try and get your watch. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right at this time to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you are being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before questioning if you wish. Do you understand each of these rights? I've explained to you. >> Yes. >> Okay. Having those rights in mind, do you wish to speak with me? No. >> Okay. So, I want to get that watch off. I don't want to get ruined by the handcuffs. Um, if you want to go ahead and turn around, I'll try and mess with it a little bit. >> Drivers in this state often make the same mental error. They confuse being polite with being safe to drive. She's cooperative, sure, but that cooperation actually makes the impairment harder to hide. Short-term memory slips, time perception warps, and without realizing it, she talks herself deeper into trouble. >> What happened in all the talk to you in a second? >> Anything else? >> Uh, I'll ask her. These are her keys. I don't know what she wants. I mean, they're going to have to tow her car off then. >> I have to do that. Well, probably her purse, right? >> Yeah. Let me check with her. Probably her phone, too. I'm going to try. I don't think she has a prior, so if I can release her, that would be great. But I'm going to talk to her and finish. >> Linda, have you ever been arrested for DUI before? >> No. >> You have you ever been arrested at all? >> No. >> Okay. So, I want to get you home today. I don't want to take you to jail if I don't have to. Uh, we still have to process you for the DUI. Okay. >> But it'll take a lot less time out of our both of our days um if I don't have to take you to jail, right? And then you get to go home after all this is done. Okay. Um, so what we're going to do is I'm going to take you back to the police department. We have like the breathalyzer machine. Okay. And if you're good to give me the sample, um, I'm going to read you some stuff, some paperwork, and then we'll do that and then I can get you home. >> Okay. >> Okay. Does that make sense? >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm going to get your buckles here. You want to lean back if you can so I don't just a second. Get together. Okay. I just wanted to you can step out for me. Thank you. And we're going to go through this door here. You want to take a seat on that bench for me. Okay. I'm going to take these cuffs off and we're going to put you in these. If you want to face that way, you can just get to the edge of the bench. Thank you. There's no denying she created a serious danger. But because she cooperates, she's still treated with basic decency. That's how the system works. Force scales with behavior. And that's a lesson a lot of Karens and so-called sovereign citizens need to face. Cooperation protects you far more than confrontation ever will. >> So, warning, you are under arrest for driving or being in actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and or drugs. Further, you are now being asked to submit a test of your breath, which consists of two separate samples of your breath taken independently to determine alcohol concentration. If your driver's license is suspended or revoked, your commercial driver's license, if any, will be disqualified. Do you need me to read any of that again? Would you like to read it yourself as well? >> Okay. And then could you open your mouth for me? Do you have like do you have a tongue piercing? Do you use any kind of like chewing tobacco, anything like that? Okay. Go ahead and open your mouth. Lift your tongue up for me. Just have to make sure you don't put anything in your mouth. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to hold this out. You're going to wrap your lips all the way around the top of the tube. Okay? And you're going to blow long and consistently like you're blowing up a balloon. Okay? So, big deep breath in and then blow when you're ready. You got to blow. You can't make any noise. There you go. Keep going. There we go. Okay. So, we're going to do the same thing that we did last time. This will be our last test. As long as we get a good sample, okay? And then we'll work on getting you out of here. So, there you go. Keep going. Keep going. You got to go for a little bit. You're doing great. Keep going. I'll let you know when to stop. Um, your husband's coming to get the car. Do you think he'd be able to pick you up from the PD to take you home? >> I think so. It depends on the time we have our kids that come to that go off on the bus. So, >> what time do they get off the bus? >> Like 4:20. >> Okay. If not, I can always get you right home. Okay. >> The female officer handles the situation with professionalism and real humanity. Still, the story doesn't end with whether the driver was drunk. The bigger issue is airport security itself. How was a civilian vehicle able to reach the taxi way at all? This was a rare stroke of luck where no disaster followed. >> If there's anything else we can do, >> no, sorry. Um, she has all the paperwork. She got the citations. She has a copy of her test results. Um, and the DO DUI hearing request form. Um, so if she does decide she wants a hearing, she can fill that out and send that. Um, >> should I talk to you for a second? Is it possible? Nothing. >> What are the test results? I just don't I'm just confused because I got lost and I don't know why I'm penalized for getting lost. >> Shouldn't be your test results on that page right there. >> Okay. >> We can chat over here if you prefer. >> But just for a second. >> Yeah. I'm not expecting us to change the situation. I just try to understand. So >> yeah. So what happened if you would like to know? We got a call about a vehicle that was driving on the taxi way at the airport. Obviously it's a secured. How she got in? I have absolutely no idea. Um, and when I contacted her, flirted speech, typical behavior, um, that we see when somebody's intoxicated, and so she [snorts] was subsequently arrested for DUI. She performed field sprite test for us. Um, obviously didn't prevent any issue. Um, she did the breath test and we have the results for that. So, she's being cited for the DUI. >> Okay. I just think there's a modern mental health thing, you know, associated with that. Um, again, whatever, but I I know it's not your problem. I I can have empathy for the situation and to be completely honest that's going to be something that you would want to share with the court. >> That's that's what I was saying is just like talk through that situation. Okay. >> Because we can't obviously >> do and I appreciate the empathy with holding the I [clears throat] appreciate all that. I just try to you're as surprised as I am about >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean like I said we um >> we have to do what we have to do but the court should reach out within two weeks. I kind of explained to Linda, but I'll let you know, too. If you don't hear from them within 2 weeks, I would reach out. It has my information on there. It has a case number. If you don't hear from anybody, you can always give me a call. Um, and then my entire report will be completed today. And so, if you guys do want a copy of my report as well, body camera, everything. >> Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to Well, anyway, I just You know what you're going to do. >> You can do um a public disclosure. You just do it on the city of Arlington website. So, >> in the end, the woman is released, but issued [music] a court summon on DUI and reckless driving charges. If convicted, she could face up to 364 days in jail and/or fines of up to $5,000 per charge, along with a license suspension of 90 days or more. When a runway disaster is barely avoided, the camera rolls on, revealing a scene that's even harder to stomach. Police responded after reports of two women extremely intoxicated, causing a disturbance and no longer able to keep [music] themselves safe. As officers worked to control the scene, one woman suddenly began vomiting and fading out, forcing police to shift priorities from enforcement to preventing choking and calling for medical help. >> You got 3 seconds or I'mma pull you out and you can hit your face. Which one do you want? >> Look, man. >> You're under arrest. >> I'm literally I'm literally corroboring with you guys. back. I'm >> behind your back. >> I'm literally going to call her brother right now. >> You're good. You're good. She can't She's not even anywhere near able to move. >> Calling my like I'm literally like >> Well, now you're not. We give you plenty of chances. Now you're under the last time I checked. I said here, >> I get it. It's getting away. I'm leaving the car. I'm trying to get in the car. >> I'm trying to work with you guys. >> Ma'am, get in the car. >> They had no money and they said I don't have money and everything. So, he came back. >> No, we we called >> and then I got here. I said, "Ma'am, we pay for the tax. Shut up." So, we're back. >> I do not have money. >> Don't turn. Just stay like that. >> Yeah. No, you're cover. >> Yeah. I mean, >> it should be a citation to drop, but unless they're backed up. So, >> yeah, >> we're going to walk you over here. We'll get you, baby. >> Sway for me. Turn around. Don't look at me. There we go. Now, go this way. Walk. Take a step, please. >> Okay. >> She's in the car already. >> Christ, that was my toe. >> We're good. Come on. >> You're fine. Don't Don't spit. Don't do not spit. Please. >> All right, man. >> Whatever you were just about to do, please don't do >> cuz that would be a bad day for you. Okay. Don't spit. >> All right. Sit. Face it. Face here. Turn around. >> Put your foot in first. Go ahead. Get in. Oh, don't start cuz I'll pull you in. Please go in. >> I know. I know. >> Okay. >> Let me I can put my own put my >> Okay. Go in. >> Get in the car. >> Ma'am, right now it's only patient. If you don't get in the car, you're going to get you're going to get a misdemeanor. All right. >> You're going to get obstructions in the car. >> No. I I don't know. >> Put your foot in. I'm holding you so you don't fall. Get in the car. >> Stay in the car. >> Hey, get in the car. >> Get in the Get in the car. This stops being about arresting a drunk and becomes about managing a body that's lost autonomy. She speaks in a cooperative tone as if staying calm alone might turn everything into a small misunderstanding. But her actual behavior, slow responses, and delayed compliance keeps increasing the risk. >> 1095 to females to the Gwinn County Jail. Oh, Papa 2432 to radio pausing my transport. Uh 1095 is vomiting all over herself. Hey, hey, keep your head like this. >> 1872 radio. Show me what that last unit signal for. >> Keep your head up. Keep your head up. >> 1872. 1872. >> Keep your head up. Okay. Keep your head up for me. Okay. Keep your head. No, no, no. Keep it just how I'm holding it. Keep it just like this. Okay. >> I want to make sure that you don't choke on your vomit. >> Okay. Okay. So, keep it just how I'm holding it. >> Some bad decisions were made today, huh? Drank a little too much. You'll be all right. Keep your No, keep your head the way I'm holding it. Okay. >> Stop it. Stop it. >> Are you okay? >> I'll get you. >> Hey. Hey. Stay awake. Stay awake. >> Stay awake. >> I am very nervous. >> You're also very drunk. >> No, >> you threw up. Just straight alcohol. Listen, >> I I am okay. >> I understand that. That's what we were trying to help y'all with. Okay. >> I I am okay. >> You understand that? >> I am okay. >> Okay. Well, we're going to have an ambulance come check you out. >> I just want to go on. >> I know. Let put it this way. Hey, y'all work with me. I'm going work with you. I'm going try to make this. Why would you guys >> I know. I understand. >> She's cooperating. She's trying to tell me. She's trying to say she just wants to get out of here. She's covered in what I'm assuming is tequila and tacos. >> Drunk. uh had quite a bit to eat and drink. She began to throw up and soak on herself. So >> it was like a falcon of vomit. >> Do with that information, you know. >> So you go up there and obviously one's fine. If the other one gets deferred, just drop one off and then just drop the other one off. Put a citation in the pocket. I mean, that's kind of what we have to do. >> This is the classic conflict between words and the body. Her mind clings to I'm still in control while her body is clearly slipping away. When someone demands autonomy after they've already lost it, the danger goes beyond nausea. It crosses into the thin line of airway compromise where life is genuinely at risk. >> Huh? She's asleep. If you could try to keep her semicoherent. I know your hands are cuffed. If you could just try to however you can. I'm just trying to make sure she's okay. Like ultimately this is minor, but that could be a major issue. As long as she's breathing, that's okay. Deal with whatever else, but as long as she's breathing, it's good. We're almost at the jail. Okay. Another day in paradise. All right. Go ahead, step by. Okay, Veronica. So, I got two. This one is able to come in. The other one is like passed out drunk in the back seat. So, we're going to get her in the transport chair and bring her in so you can see her. >> This is the first one. >> Hey. Hey. >> Hey, wake up. Yeah. >> Okay. Well, I've still got one in there. >> That's fine. We'll get her to take care of and you can give you can just show them the ID and write down her name and phone. Okay. >> Hey, wake up. Wake up. Sit up. sit up. Oh god. Uh to be honest with you, I'm going to release her on citations. So, >> okay. >> Cuz I don't know if she's going to be able to walk in here. And he made a pretty clear statement. If they're not walking in here, they're not saying, >> which I'm going to keep my comments to myself. >> Yeah. So, I don't know. >> Thank you, though, ma'am. I I I do appreciate you. >> A jail cell isn't built to save someone whose physical condition is collapsing. Once she's going limp and vomiting repeatedly, this is no longer punishment. It's life or death. She gamles with her life to preserve the right to stay silent and pass out. Police can reduce force, but they can't reduce their duty to save a life. So, she's rushed to the hospital. >> Hank, stay awake. Stay awake. You are currently puking and you're probably going to be choking on your puke. Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake. >> Stay awake. >> No, you're not. You're puking. >> You are puking all over yourself. You are falling asleep. You are going to choke on your vomit and die. So, you need to stay awake. Do you understand me? >> Or do you understand what I'm telling you? >> No, I I do. I do. >> Okay. So, stop falling asleep. Stop going to sleep. I understand you're drunk, but you need to stop going to sleep. Okay. All right. Keep your head tilted forward. >> So, I'm going to keep talking very loudly so that you stay awake. >> All right. >> Stay awake. >> Yes, sir. >> How much did you have to drink tonight? >> One and a half. >> You did not just have one. How much did you have to drink tonight? One and a half. That's not true. How much does you have to drink tonight? If you say two, I'm going to laugh. Stay awake. If I can't sleep, you can't sleep. And I'm We're both staying awake on this trip. >> Come on. Hey, no. No sleeping. I already told you no sleeping. Yeah, we're going to get to the hospital. You're going to get a ticket and that's that. Stay awake. Stay awake. The officer keeps her responsive, making sure she doesn't drift into deep sleep, a critical medical requirement. His steady insistence on stay awake is careful and humane. He could have been harsh or judgmental, but instead he chooses patience and compassion even though the conditions are clearly unpleasant. >> Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake. Hey, do me a favor. >> Yeah. >> Sing your ABCs for me. Sing your ABCs. You know ABC D. You know that one. Sing that. >> Yes, sir. A B C D E H. >> Okay. >> H I J. >> There we go. >> H I J K. >> There we go. >> H I J K L. >> Okay. >> A L M N O P. >> There you go. >> N O P. >> Okay. >> K. >> Uh I think it's a Q. You have a Q. >> No. Yes, sir. And I'll play Q. >> There you go. >> A Q R X >> S. Okay. >> Q R X >> S. Yeah. >> T U K N X U T I L. >> No. >> I think you're making up your own. Uh, >> no. No. No, no, no, no, no. >> I think you are. That's okay. But that's just not right. [screaming] >> Ambulance that didn't see me right here. >> She puked in my car. We're all having a bad day, so I'm good at that. >> What? What's this? >> That's puke. That's pee. >> If it's any consolation, it's majority tequila. So >> coming through grab her right in the office. >> You're getting the ticket tonight. Okay, that's that's it. Getting a ticket for disorderly conduct. You are intoxicated in public and you refuse to leave. You're only getting disorderly conduct and you're only getting a ticket. And guess what? You get to go home tonight. >> In the end, the woman still faces charges for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, typically handled with a citation. But due to the medical danger, treatment takes priority over jail. If the last scene made your stomach turn, the next one will make your heart skip a beat. Glass explodes. On September 21st, 2025, police responded to reports of a loud argument between [music] two women at an apartment complex. As officers moved in to verify identities, small details began stacking up, revealing a situation far more complicated than what neighbors had simply heard. >> What's going on, L? >> I'm just trying to make a a report to my car. >> What's all this about? I um I was in an argument with my my domestic spouse. We wasn't hitting nobody. She just ran and took the car. The only car that we had. So obviously that's not like a cool thing. You can't do that. So I told you guys. That's where we're here. That's where I'm at. >> What's the tag number for the car? >> This is the next problem. Give me one second. >> What's your name? >> Kayen. They don't want I don't know. I just have a brain tag right now. >> Here's the register key. >> It's um registered to my brother and my sister. >> Your call has been forwarded to voicemail. The person you're trying to reach is not available. At the tone, please record your message. When you have finished recording, you may hang up. >> She has her whole family. Oh my god, this is crazy. >> Can you call her? She has a phone. You want me to walk down and get my phone? >> Yeah. Like this is insane, bro. Hey, >> how are you? >> I'm good. How are you? Who is this? >> This is Deputy Yo from Lake County Sheriff's Office. >> Oh, hello. >> Can Can you tell me what's going on? >> Um, I was kicked out of the home. >> He wasn't kicked out, [laughter] sir. She wasn't kicked out. It's on the video. >> I literally have a camera. I was told to get out and then screamed at the garbage all over the floor. I don't know if you guys can see that. um how dirty it is outside the apartment right now. But I was told to leave I was told to get my stuff and as I went upstairs the rest of my clothing I was then kicked again. They were being cursed at as well. Not by me by the person you're standing next to cuz I can hear her. And um I just wanted to get out the house. My cousin was going to come and pick me up but I was in a really unsafe >> So you're saying you bought the car? She's saying it's her sister's car or her brother's car. Did Did you guys >> concern? It's It's not It's not a big problem. I'm right here. You're going to see me pull in right now. I'm about to park the car back in the parking spot. I was never stealing the car. Like I said, I was getting away from the situation because it was a handy situation and I didn't need it to be something more than that. So, I got out the way as fast as I could. >> Okay. >> From the very first moments, the suspect shows a familiar belief shared by people who treat 911 like a lever. Whoever calls first must be the victim. Unable to control her partner or even the car, she tries to control the outcome through the system. Calm on the surface, but underneath is the same goal. Getting the system to punish the other person [music] on her terms. >> So, when she gets out of the car, >> I'm just going to take my keys and go back upstairs. That's all. >> No yelling, no screaming. >> No, this is my car. That's all I cared about. That's the only reason I called you guys. >> And she she lives here, right? >> She stays with me. Yeah, but she she wants to go. She's lying, saying I held her hostage. Any of that, sir, I have a video. That's my thing. Like, she I can just show you the video. >> We're arguing about a baby, a child, a small little child. He's not upstairs. >> Nephew. >> My nephew. Look at that. >> Look. Look. No hitting. No. No. No. She hit me. Thank you very much. I'm glad you got to see that. I walked back in the house. >> She's with the cops right now. No, she's not with the baby. >> Walk back in the house. >> An argument about the baby. We just need to leave each other. We could, but I don't want lies. I just don't want lies. She told the cop I'm having a mental breakdown. I was calm. >> It's fine. Then be calm. All you need to do is be calm right now and just be like, I just want my car keys cuz this is my source of this is my apartment. Period. >> She can go tell her mom. >> I didn't try to, sir. I tried to have her arrested or I asked for my car back. >> Arrested for that. You told him I stole your vehicle. >> You did? >> Officer, isn't that the charge? >> You stole my vehicle, love. >> Why are you two yelling in the parking lot? Knock it off. >> I walk back in the house. >> Per usual. I said I was taking the >> banging on the door. >> Per usual. I said I was taking the baby to a hotel and she started arguing with me. That's [laughter] >> Tell me that's not crazy. >> I said I was taking the baby to a hotel. This started arguing me, fighting me, telling me that the baby's more important than her. Actually, he is. >> That's exactly what happened. >> You did. I have it on recording. >> That's exactly what happened. >> I have it on recording. I'm going to post it. >> I'm not going to post nothing. But that was weird. Sir, >> that baby is crazy. That's some sick. Oh [ __ ] I'm not opening this door. You spit on me, you hit me. It's a dub. >> That's I was hiding in the laundry room. >> I didn't do nothing to her. She has no marks on her face. Nothing, sir. Okay. >> Honestly, all I care about is the car. That's it. >> Okay. >> I will go to my grandpa's house. She lives. He She can do whatever she wants. >> You guys share the car. >> You guys are both saying that >> you have money tied up in this car. You have so >> you have something. Yeah, but I can't tell who does and who doesn't. Oh wow. >> So I can't make her give you keys. >> Sorry. >> I don't know who this car belongs to. It's registered to somebody else. >> His name was My name is Kay. That's my brother. >> This is a classic power struggle. She wants the system to strike for her. Yet fear is being pulled into it herself. Her arguments keep shifting, reflecting that anxiety. When police refuse to play the role of ally, her emotions lose their anchor and cooperation quickly flips into confrontation. You also didn't. I think it's really disgusting and crazy. >> Yeah, I know what marijuana smells like. I can't stand in there right headaches. >> I would never do something like this cuz I have eggs. I have skin problems. I'm not supposed to be touching garbage like this. None of that. Do >> you got like a dust pan you can use to scoop that up? That's kind of gross. It's >> freaking It's terribly gross, man. This is I can't even I really don't understand how this happened. >> I don't either. >> Go get all that. Let's get this done. >> Hey, Mr. Officer, can you please tell her that I wasn't trying to have her arrested? Cuz that's ridiculous. >> No, I wasn't. >> Yo, >> I wasn't. >> Go get your ID. >> She open for me. >> I need to get in here, bro. My wallet. It's >> upstairs. I told you. You took it upstairs to put your partner card. I need your ID card before you go. >> I have to look through all these bags for my ID. I'm so sorry. I have so much. >> Let me try to get it in there. >> No, I said I want my >> Kaitlin. Having a reporting someone stealing your card makes them get arrested. Am I wrong? Right. Get out of here. It don't matter what you want. The police will arrest you. It don't matter what you want. >> Something that don't either. >> It isn't yours. >> If you don't stop arguing, I'm going to take both of you to jail. You're disturbing the peace. Be quiet and get your ID card. >> I don't know. >> Find it. >> Yeah, >> I'll get a statement from the dog. >> Down for me. Yeah, you flip it down. >> Okay, that's no problem. You're good. >> And I was a chauffeur so many years. I didn't open them. I just threw them in. I told everybody that has to be >> there's no arguing. There's no talking. He just said there's no arguing. >> I can leave. I'm fine with that. >> I have no problem. Do you? >> He's got your ID. Nobody's >> got a picture of your ID. It is lying. I called her mother, her dad, her cousin. >> Stop. >> I called them. No. Go. >> No, I'm not going to stop. >> Talking K. You did this, bro. >> And you're going to go to jail for it. >> I'm not going to go to jail for nothing. All she had to do was show ID and stay quiet and it would have ended there. But ego takes over and everything escalates. She drags family into it to keep control of the narrative and force officers to pick a side. Her refusal to let her girlfriend leave peacefully makes one thing clear. Control is still driving every move. Sir, >> I'm not doing nothing about that. That she called the cops on me. I'm sorry. Yeah. >> Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. Get out of the car. >> Oh my god. >> Kaitlin, please get out the car. >> I'm so scared. I don't like situations. >> You don't have to be scared. You have to [laughter] find your ID card. >> You found your ID card. >> Unlock the door. Unlock the door. >> Unlock the door. >> Please don't hurt. >> Please don't hurt. >> Unlock the door. >> Push the unlock button. Dude, >> I can't see you. >> You're not listening to the police. >> Just please call me. >> Push the unlock button. I know it's bright, man. I can't come. >> She's under arrest. She lock the window. >> I'll lock the door. How do you lock the door? >> I want to lock the door. >> Don't hurt my daughter, please. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch me. >> No. Don't leave me. >> No. You >> get out of the car. [screaming] >> Go. Please. Please don't hurt him. Please. >> What is wrong with you? >> I'm [ __ ] for having >> That's so crazy. >> Go home. You're not making nothing better. Please go home. >> The hell? >> I'm so confused on why you guys did this. What? What threat am I to you? arrest for resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer. >> Battery? >> Yep, you hit [laughter] me. >> I hit you. >> This is crazy. >> The sound of shattering glass is the end of that control. It's not just force. It's the moment the illusion collapses. Once she's pulled out and restrained, she instantly shifts into the role of the absolute victim. With no story left to hold on to, her body becomes the last language she has. >> Get off of me. What the hell, bro? [laughter] >> I called you guys. I will never call you guys again. >> You all right? >> Yeah. >> You tried to help her and she's ignored you. >> I'm sorry, though. >> No, y'all are good. I'm glad you tried to help. >> She's going to go to jail. Then she can bond out. >> Are you her brother? >> I'm the brother-in-law. That's my father-in-law. I'm with >> Are you >> No, Jason. He's literally around the corner. >> Be quiet. >> No, no, everybody. >> But um don't stand here and have laws like that. >> My problem is at jail. I'm scared of her being. >> Oh, they have to right there for each other and they hot for each other. >> No, it's it's his car. It's his >> It comes back to you, right? >> Yeah. to take your kids off the white car. >> They're in Well, I think that that other lady >> get the tag off the white car. >> I I'll get it, bud. Just hide. No, she's right there. She has the keys. >> Oh, that the tag's expired. So, I got to take it. So, they're going to have to go pro you. You'll have to go up to the DMV and get another one or the dealership, whichever. >> Do you have to impound the car? >> No. No. She's >> just a tag. Just a tag. >> Can I at least follow you guys to make sure she's fine or no? Like I can't. >> You have to go all the way to And then once they go through the door to the salad court, you can't go. You just be driving behind a car with her in it's a wasted trip. >> That's where they take her. >> Yeah. to very sit outside the jail for however long it takes them to process her and then I wouldn't find out how >> probably not until morning she'll probably go to first appearance in the morning. >> In the end, the suspect [music] is taken to jail and charged with violent resistance against law enforcement and disorderly conduct. She's later released after posting $6,000 bail. If convicted, potential penalties could reach 3 to 5 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. When the chaos passes, the truth starts catching up to the one who tried to lie their way through it. On May 11th, 2025, police responded to a 911 call about a domestic violence dispute. [music] The woman made serious allegations against her boyfriend and said she feared there might be a weapon involved. When officers arrived, they had to separate both parties, secure the scene, and verify the details. >> Did you call us? Did you call police? Ma'am, >> did you call police? >> Yeah. >> Do you have a knife on you? >> No, I do not have a knife. >> Cuz the dispatch mentioned that you may have a knife on you. >> I have this on me. >> Just that? No. No sharp objects, anything? >> I have nothing on me. >> What happened tonight? >> Well, we just got into it and he was acting crazy. He I don't even want to get into all of it, but it doesn't matter. Um >> Well, obviously you called us for assistance, right? >> Yeah. Well, I mean, like he was. So, I was like, well, then I'm going to too. >> So, okay. So because you saw him on the phone with police, so then you called after him. >> Yeah. Because I'm not going to sit here and act like I did everything wrong when he's the one that was acting. >> Okay. >> Like >> Okay. Obviously you guys had some situation going. Okay. That's why we are here, right? We just want to make sure that you are guys okay. Obviously you guys had some argument going, right? >> Yeah. >> So are you hurt at all? >> No, I mean I'm fine. >> Not no not you have no injuries on you or anything like that or nothing physical happened or something happened? What happened? Huh? >> No. No. What was the allegation you made over the phone? >> Uh, for I've known her for 2 years, but we've been off and on for the last couple months. >> Okay. Um, what happened today? >> Uh, we just found an arm >> about >> it was literally over every just anything stupid. It was nothing serious. >> Okay. Um, you mentioned that uh something >> sexual may happen, right? Or no, you just exaggerated. >> I was exaggerating. >> So, nothing happened. You're not a gut assaulted. >> No. Even while triggering an emergency response, she keeps a calm tone and speaks in vague, non-specific terms. That mismatch suggests 911 is being used more like a power move than a true request for protection. Her body language doesn't match the level of the accusation she's putting on the table. >> Quick question. How has her shirt got ripped off >> or ripped? >> I fell. >> I'm sorry. >> I fell. I came out of the apartment and we were arguing and I fell. >> You fell? What do you mean you fell? Well, I we I've been drinking. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So, I >> So, how how his shirt got ripped if you fell? Did you like try to >> I was just babbling to reach so I didn't fall. Like I was trying to catch myself. >> Catch and then you caught his shirt and that's how they got ripped. >> Yeah, it was very >> How you were falling though? >> Yeah, because I tripped. I >> tripped on what? Tripped how? >> Like over my foot. >> Over your foot. Inside or outside? >> Outside. Like outside on the here, not not inside of the >> No, it was outside. There's >> What made you trip though? Like just your over your feet? >> Yeah. So like not these steps, but over there by the front door, there's like a little ex like a little dip and I just literally tripped. It's kind of stupid, but yeah. >> You don't have any weapons on on you, right? >> I have. I have one. >> Do you have your ID with you anywhere? >> Not on me. No. You have a picture of it or anything? >> No weapons? you. No. No. I >> No weapons in the like none of you guys have like firearms inside. >> No, I'm not allowed to have firearms. >> Okay. Just came back from work. Maybe >> we just moved in the fifth. >> Yeah. Yeah. But how long? Um >> he just >> How long you guys been arguing before we showed up or >> like not even an hour? >> Nobody's judging a simple stumble. What stands out is the constant rewriting. First she says she almost fell, then she says she didn't fall. You can hear the responsibility dodge. A truthful person might be messy on details, but they're usually consistent. Someone trying to protect their image changes details based on the listener's reaction, and people can feel that immediately. >> Well, I was hanging out with my friend Becky. I'm um been friends with her since 2020, and he said I was outside with some guys and and was talking to us about >> outside like here. >> Yeah. Yeah. Like down there. And anyways, but yeah, so that's really >> So he got mad over that you were with someone that he didn't know. >> Yeah, he got talking to some guys and Yeah. >> Okay. And then All right. And then what happened while you guys were arguing? We just kept arguing and we came outside cuz he was going to leave and I tripped like something like that and I fell and I just >> as you were falling down you said you were trying to like catch yourself and by >> then you grabbed him by by the shirt. >> Yeah. >> And then so when you were falling down you were up like in front of him or you were in behind him? >> I was in front of him. >> In front of him. Okay. >> So how was his shirt first? If you don't mind me. Um, it was like a little corner like that. All >> you were in front of him, correct? >> Yeah. >> So, how does you falling? I >> was trying to catch myself. I just I wasn't really >> Well, you were falling forward. >> I was falling backwards. I was in front of him. >> You were falling backwards >> and you were trying to like reach. >> Yeah. Okay. Can I see your hands real quick? >> Yeah. >> And then is that was is that was outside or inside when you were falling? >> What happened to your finger? My nose. I have a >> You were outside when you were falling or you were inside when you were falling? >> I was outside right in front of the door. >> Outside. Okay. Did you Did you end up falling or No, >> I No. I mean, almost, but No. >> You didn't fall down. You were able to like hold to his shirt while you were >> like It wasn't a like a Oh, no. >> Okay. >> Yeah. No. >> So, you you were you were not pushing around or you guys were not pushing each other around? >> No. Nothing. like um >> so everything was fine when he showed up and then you guys you know end up in a bed and then you guys start arguing >> and yeah >> so how he found out that you were outside >> I was I told him >> okay >> literally just talking to them cuz they asked me about their dog that had ran away and after seemed >> the real driver here isn't fear it's the refusal to wear the label of being wrong she wants an instant referee to validate her before the feeling of losing can even land. Once the system becomes the lever, the story has to keep shifting because if the logic breaks, the power breaks with it. >> Were you outside with some people? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I was just talking to them because they said that their dog head ran away or whatever. And but I was with my female friend Becky, >> but he got mad when he saw you. >> I tripped over literally a curb like that. And that's how the shirt got ripped cuz I >> You guys had sex after you were arguing outside or >> before? >> Before. When did he see he saw you outside? >> Just coming from work, right? That's what he told me. >> Like we didn't really we got in an argument over the text like text messages. >> Text me. Okay. >> Cuz then I mean like when he came inside we were fine and then we started to have sex and didn't let it like go too long and then Yeah. >> Oh. What giving up the text? Um then that was the argument and we came outside cuz he was going to leave and that's when Yeah. So I told I accident >> Okay. You hit him a couple of times and then with a knife, with this part of the knife, not with the edge part, you hit him couple of times. Is that true or it's not true? >> No. >> Okay. Can I ask you to just put your hands out of your pockets? I I trust you have anything sharp or anything that might hurt me, but still, let's keep it >> Yeah. It's cold. >> No, I understand I'm cold as well, but please keep your hands out of your pockets. There we go. Thank you. >> One detail flips the whole thing. a statement that she hit him with keys. Police tighten the frame with questions that leave no room to wiggle. Yes or no, true or false. This is the moment the moral lie detector kicks in. A liar needs gray space to survive, but emotions don't justify ruining someone else's life. You're going to whatever you called 911, right? >> Yeah. And clearly on the 911 call, I heard the voicemail voice message saying that he raped you, but you just said we had sex. >> Did he rape you? He didn't rape you. But if you can go south, >> he didn't. He would like sit there and do that. Yeah, I know. I didn't want to like say that, but I was just upset. >> Did he rape you or did he? >> No. No, >> he didn't rape you. >> No, I >> Why did you say over the over? >> Because we were arguing here. I was upset. >> You were upset. That's why you you lied. >> Mhm. >> Well, you you're saying some somebody raped you. That's a big deal. Now you're saying he didn't rape you. You cannot be lying to the police stating that somebody raped. Somebody can end up in jail because of something like that. You know, right? Turn around now. Turn around. >> Oh, yeah. We're just fine. >> Um, this one is mine. I've got it. that you shouldn't have anything to >> start going on tomorrow. I'm going to go to see Mike in a second. Watch out please. He showed me a video. He hit him a couple of times. What happened? >> Good. >> Yeah, we just have a random cat, you know, trying to do all this drama around here. >> Not this one. Let me know. >> Not this one. She hit this car. >> She hit his car to the one driving. And just to let you aware, she's overwhelmed with a kind of toxication. >> Okay. Where who who were we talking? >> Where she the one in the pink. >> So she was driving one car. >> She's actually super super bright. >> So which cars were involved? >> This one. This one. >> Correct. >> I don't speak English. Well, you just spoke English to me right there. >> I don't speak English more than that. >> What do you speak? >> Swahili. >> Swahili. Okay. >> Put your car on. Put it on. >> It is on. >> It is on. >> Put it on. >> Um, >> so what do you want? >> Is anybody in the car with her? >> This your key. >> We'll be ahead. Don't lose your key. >> Can I get your license, please? >> Don't ask me for that. I don't have it. Okay. Well, you're going to need it. So, can I have it, please? >> I don't have it. You can look up the >> You can look up the >> Happened to your car. >> H >> How' this damage happen to your car? >> The devil. >> The devil. Okay. >> For what? >> To investigate this action. I don't have a ID. It's just look up my name. >> Okay. If you don't have an ID and you were driving a vehicle and you don't have a license, that's a crime. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, you're saying that's what happened? >> Yeah. I was >> I wasn't driving. >> Okay. >> Right from the start, Wendy refused to hand over her documents and blamed the devil. A sign of panic, delusion, or intoxication. Maybe she thought extreme denial could somehow help her escape the consequences. But the law doesn't work that way. >> The accident happened. This one. >> What accident? >> This accident. You don't know about this accident that you caused? >> I caused >> Did you hit the other guy? >> Did you hit this vehicle? >> Why you not qu questioning the other? >> I just was. Did you just see me question? >> Did he Did he answer your >> He told me that he was sitting in that spot and you came and you hit him. >> Oh, wow. He was in the club. >> Okay. And that's fine. So that's why I'm asking you what happened. >> Why is he fine? And what I'm telling you is not believable. >> Well, do you want to assist us? Cuz we have to do an investigation to know what happened. Oh yeah. >> What's an accident? >> So we know who's at fault. >> He's at fault. >> Okay. So tell me why. >> Just explain to me what happened. >> Listen to him. You know >> out? >> No, I was leaving. >> Okay. So which way would you have been going? >> That way. >> So you going that way? >> Yeah. >> And then what? >> And then he hit me. >> How did he hit you? >> I just need to know cuz I didn't hit you. Like come on, man. >> You see why the bumper is falling off? Yes. >> Yeah. >> So you that's why he hit me. >> Did was he You would have been behind him then? >> No, I was No, I was backing out. >> Backing out >> and then you know how you back out and you turn a corner. He came right through me. That's how I lost that bumper. >> Okay. So, which spot did you back out of? >> Actually, uh I want to see where the Subaru is because I was going into the You know, you see Sorry. You see where it says open? >> Uhhuh. >> I was going in there. >> So I back out. >> I back out that way. Going that way to exit that way. I don't have insurance, but I have the other get it. >> Let's go get it. >> Okay. Let's go get it. >> Let's go get it. >> Is your name Wendy? >> Yes. >> Okay. No ID though. >> I got ID. >> Okay. Can I see it? >> No. She's getting me some documents now and then we can >> I'mma do I'mma deal with the female. You giving me a trigger right now. >> You might as well go off. Let me deal with her. Whatever she got to say. You think you guys are in the same cahoots, right? >> Before watching this video, I didn't realize I could understand fluent Swahili. Turns out Wendy was just so drunk, she started speaking English instead. And now she was arguing like a native speaker, just not with any logic on her side. >> Yeah. I had to pee. >> I get that. >> And then I had to [clears throat] go home. >> Okay. Where do you live in town? >> I live in Tacoma. >> You live in Tacoma? >> Yeah. >> So, what do you need from me, ma'am? >> Okay. So, you know, I think it might be this thing. Can I get this? This? >> Yeah, that's fine. >> Oh, that's >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> So, you know the thing that the tabs come on when you get license plate tabs? >> That's not it. >> No, this is a sticky lube. Anyways, >> what about this? >> Yes. Who's Kaye Bennett? >> I think it was a previous owner of this car. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> But you own it now. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, she came here earlier and she was trying to come in, but she was intoxicated. >> So, we did not let her in. >> So, you guys didn't serve her or anything? >> Nope. She did not. She came here drunk >> and we told her we cannot let you in. >> So, she was just walking around, walking around, walking around. She's been walking around. >> Thank you. >> Let's see. Anything else? >> What about it? the accident. >> I mean, I was literally just getting out of this parking lot. This guy >> hit me >> and now he's claiming I hit him. >> You know what I mean? Like I was literally just going home. >> Yeah. >> And then my I have an iPhone and I also have an uh an Android. >> Oh, okay. So both phones were not I mean if I woke up at 5:30 what time is it right now? Probably 3. >> It's 5. >> You see? So >> so you should know what time it was. I get it. >> But from here I know where I'm going. >> So anyway >> yeah. >> So no no no no no no. I wasn't here for 4 hours. >> Okay. >> That's okay. So, at the moment, I want to do some SFSTs with you. Do you know what that means? >> What is that? >> It's like some tests to see if you had any alcohol today. Would you be willing to do those? >> I had alcohol today. That's >> okay. How much did you have? >> I want to say like four shots. >> Okay. >> What time was that at? Like when you went to the beach today? >> What time is it right now? >> Five. >> So, I want to say the last shot I took was about an hour and a half ago. When the bar confirmed she'd been drinking and wandering around for hours, her story completely fell apart. Cornered and exposed, Wendy seemed desperate, clinging to denial with everything she had, even as the truth closed in. >> Here is because I needed to use the bathroom. >> Yeah, and that's totally fine. >> And it's familiar to me, so I came here. >> Yeah, I get that. I'm going to leave mine on my head. Okay. >> But you going to embarrass me in front of all these canyons in this. You want to go behind my vehicle so that I can >> I don't care. Actually, if you really want to know the truth about it, I came here to use the bathroom and buy some snacks. >> I just want to do >> which I'm still waiting for. >> Okay. Eyes only. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. And did you have um anything besides alcohol today? >> I mean, I was here to get some snacks cuz they do sell like Kenyan sausages and Kenyan snacks. >> So, in this next test, I'm going to have you back up. And this is a good line that we can use. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm all right. >> Can you count? You can't hang on to that. You got to balance. >> Okay. Let's start again. >> Let's do it again. >> Yeah, let's do that >> one. >> Okay. And then the last one. Do you want to do the last one? >> What? One last one. >> One last test. >> Just tell me. Let me do five steps in front of you. Have all that. >> You want to do it again? >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> Huh? I'm just going to go in class. She stumbled through the sobriety tests, failing each one. Clear signs her judgment and coordination were seriously impaired. With so many red flags, officers had no choice but to cuff her. A rational decision backed by undeniable evidence. >> Uh seven >> seven. Go ahead and face away. Okay. I'm going to put you in handcuffs at the moment because we have belief that you may be DUI. Okay. Do you know what that means? >> Uh, driving under the vehicles. >> Yeah. Do you have any of those? You know how many? >> Um, maybe in the past. >> Maybe one in a few months. >> Face the vehicle. Okay. >> Why can I not blow a breath? >> You will. That's what we'll go to the station. And then if you don't station, >> it's close. >> Who's going to get me out of there? >> I'm going to take you to the station. >> Do what you need to do and I respect that. But when I tell you, >> hey, >> the back of the seat is a trigger. It is a trigger. >> I believe you. Let's get in the seat. Back seat and then we can talk about it on the way to the station. Okay. >> Are you going to be driving? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> My It's time to blow. You got some some juice in you? >> Yeah. >> Um so once you blow, keep blowing until I tell you to stop. Okay. >> Okay. >> You got to blow as long as you can. So big inhale and then big exhale. So, how do you want my mouth position on this? >> All the way on it >> like >> Yep. Okay. Blow, blow, blow, blow, blow. Big blow. Keep going. Go. Blow. Actually blow. >> Okay. So, in and out. >> Not in and out. Just once you get to this, it's just only out. Blow as much as you can. >> Okay. >> Blow. Love blow. No. Hang on. You blowing. Mhm. I don't believe you. Now it's going. Blow. Keep going as long as you can. Keep Nope. So, you want see when the beeping stops? >> What does it mean? >> It's not You didn't blow enough. >> Okay. >> Okay. Let's get it. >> Let's get it. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm going to have you take a big inhale. And then once you go onto that thing, >> Yeah. just blow blow blow. >> And once the beeping begins, that noise, you have to keep going. And >> I can't stop. You can't stop till I tell you. So that beeping will will beep and then I'll tell you when to stop. Okay. Blowing. Okay. Go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Good job. Keep it up. Keep it up. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Good. That's enough. >> In the end, she was charged with DUI. On May 30th, 2024, Palm Beach County, a frantic 911 call from Ulta Beauty had police racing to the scene. Three female suspects were caught red-handed shoplifting and bolting toward a getaway car, but by the time officers arrived, they were gone. So, did they really pull off the perfect escape? [music] Here's what happened next. >> Um, I couldn't recall much. Um, I know two walked out together and they ran in that direction and then that's all you saw. What did What did they >> There was a third girl that came out after the first two. They each had a basket full of stuff. Okay. And what did the third girl do? >> Um, she was kind of just walking. So I told him to work on right away cuz usually I make the report so when you come [music] it's ready for you guys. So I lit he said he was going to tell you guys to hold off until the report was here. >> It kind of doesn't work like that. >> Okay. If it's an in progress call and we're coming to it, we're coming to it. I mean, we can't just, you know, >> No, that's fine. >> You know what I mean? You're probably the one right there with a basket and then the other two. >> It was like a goldish. We thought it was silver, but when you drive off and you hit it, it's like that silverish gold color. >> Silver gold color. >> Did it pink? >> No, it's like um you metallic. >> Yeah, like that like like you receive those Camry, the Toyota Camry that has that. It's not a brown champagne color. >> That's champagne. Thank you. Champagne is the word I'm looking for. I can't put that in your mouth. You're telling me the color is >> champagne? It was shipment day today. >> Witnesses said the suspects took off in a champagne colored Infinity [music] FX35 with a Florida temp tag DP09977. They knew exactly what to grab. High-end items only, quick, coordinated, clearly planned. But thanks to sharp descriptions and that tag, police locked in on the car not long after put all the windows down, please. Hello, Agent. I'm going to make you sit back down if you want to sit back down. >> It's like that for real. >> Yes. >> The infinity was stopped. Brianna behind the wheel, Natalia riding shotgun. Neither had a valid ID. When questioned, Natalyia tossed out a fake name, Caitlyn, and danced around every question about [music] her friend. That's basically holding up a sign that says, "I'm hiding something." >> If y'all already gave me your name, why they ask me for y'all names? >> She gave me a wrong name. >> So what? That's the name she gave you. I don't know. I'm not going to give y'all. >> We're just We're just asking questions. >> Okay. Is that against Is that a law though? They >> So once that [ __ ] be to be nasty and tell you ain't getting a [ __ ] out. >> Then came the complaints. They talked about past arrests, having a car impounded, even being on probation. You'd think that would keep someone out of trouble. Nope, not this duo. Police searched the car and along with stolen goods, they found kids toys. That's right. >> Y'all just bought all that stuff yesterday. I got a receipt up there. >> We're not going to take any of the stuff. You get sitting AC. They were both charged with grand theft, but you wouldn't know it from their attitude. Laughing, joking. One even asked to keep her jewelry so I look cute in the mug shot. When suspects treat arrest like a photo shoot, you start to realize the real problem isn't just the crime. It's the mindset >> that that thing. >> Bro, I want it on my mug shot. >> Okay. >> You don't get to wear take it off before the mug shot. >> No, they not. I've been to jail before. >> And we know I go there like every day. >> This can't come. On March 3, 2023 in Texas, four women were being watched by store security after they were seen repeatedly [music] stuffing items into their bags without ever stopping at the register. Police were called in immediately, but when they arrived, the case took a twist. No one expected. >> Who are y'all bringing in? >> The turquoise for sure. Uh the dark blue one and then the brown one for sure was giving her the stuff electronics. >> Just not the red. Yeah, the redhead actually paid for this thing. Dang. $446. Two rings. >> So, this is the bag that has everything in it. >> Yeah. Her her and her the red one's the only one that's on her island. >> So, she's wearing the thing that >> Yeah. >> she took. >> And then the one that she the one that she put on is that gray one that she has her holding. And that's not paid for either. >> What? The bodysuit thing. It's like a cardigan like like how that blue one is. It's just like that one just right. >> And where is that? >> The turquoise girl is holding it in her arm cuz she had took it off the hanger and put it on her >> so almost for one last item. >> They're going to be at selfch checkckout right now. >> All right. Two and three. They're best workouts. >> Who was y'all three? >> For what? >> I paid for all my stuff. >> The unpaid merch. I have to go. >> What you see in my bag for I paid for this. >> I'm not getting my bag. >> The group included both teens and adults, each playing a role. One to distract, one to cover, and one to pretend to pay. But once they were taken into the interview room, the act fell apart fast. Everyone started [music] scrambling to shift blame away from themselves. >> We know. Yeah. But we need to see what I don't have and I'm naked. So what are y'all talking about? >> The gray sweater and then everything that was in her bag. >> Oh yeah. >> So why? Cuz you're the one that put the gray sweater on and handed it to her. >> I took the gray sweater off. Y'all can run the cameras back. I took it off and I put it right there. She picked it up. >> What's in the bag? >> What did they conceal? >> Big lighter, which is the big lighter and the crush. You have to register twice. >> We'll pull up the receipt for the card again. Can we see your receipt real quick? >> I wasn't even called inside here. But this is my daughter. She's underage. She's 17. >> This is my daughter also. >> Okay. So, here's the reason why she's in here as well. She was over there selecting the the camera, the Polaroid camera and stuff. And when she was selecting it, she gave it to her. They were all walking around together while she was taking the spider wrap off. They were in front of her taking the spider wrap off. other stuff. So, this is everything. This is what she was selecting for her to conceal. >> I didn't cash back. >> Um, and then this is what she started to conceal over there. So, we'll get a receipt for all of this and then we'll figure out about your sweater. >> Okay. This is the sweater right here. Thank you. And the light. Thank you. >> I paid for this letter. I'll put that on the thing and grab this one. >> 2143. >> And then did you pull it up for the cardigan that she has on? Correction is anything that you telling me at this point if this false information can't >> police took a soft approach. No handcuffs, no Miranda warning yet. They simply compared each woman's story to the surveillance footage. No pressure needed. The contradictions spilled out on their own. Who took the items? Who helped? It all became crystal clear. >> Don't have one issued anywhere. >> Where y'all from? We're from Orlando. >> Came from Orlando to Houston. >> Houston. No, but I heard over here for you party. >> I would appreciate the number. >> We on vacation. Like I really apologize on behalf of my cases. >> I got you. >> So unfortunate my hands are kind of tied at a certain point. Uh it's basically on them. I'm just responding to their district attorney and stuff, >> right? So it's well number one is do they want to prosecute? If they want to prosecute then I have to find all this stuff. I have to call the district attorney to see if they want to take charges. There's no way that I can sell them. They just pay for smoke. >> That is That's up to them. That's not me. >> Well, I told her to put it on there and she said, "Okay." And I give her the extra one back. >> It's not on there. >> But it's a misunderstanding. >> So, what's the story with that? She said that she told the lady to put it on there, but it's not on there. >> Hot dog. This is her receipt. >> My question is, what are you determining as stolen? Just this stuff. >> She would have took from her to what how much is that? >> It's $16.98. >> Okay. How much was How much was the hot dog? >> That's That's going to be up to you guys. I mean, this stuff is pretty much a no-brainer. It was all concealed. Oh, so the employee said that when she gave she told her they didn't have no barcode. So the employee asked her would she would like to go back to the department and get it. She said no that she had and then she asked her about this one. She said that she paid this the last time that she came to the store. >> Okay. >> No, she never asked me nothing. We didn't even have a full converation. >> And so the lady asked her if she wanted to go back to get it cuz she asked her how much it was. She said around $169. >> The green hair picked it off. >> So she took it off. She picked it off. took it out. >> When the receipt didn't match what was in the bag, one suspect started fumbling for excuses. Then the mother jumped in. Her defense was so forced it was almost rehearsed. Her reaction not that of someone caught off guard, but someone who'd done this dance before. Not just a partner in crime, possibly the one who taught the routine. >> Yes, ma'am. This is Officer G with the uh Umble PD. I have a theft for you. Uh we were dispatched to Walmart in reference to four black females. They said that items were being concealed in a black purse. Uh we made seen they went through selfch checkckout. They did not pay for anything that was been concealed in the bag and one of them walked out with like a cardigan without paying for it. Uh so the all the items were held by one person. when the items were concealed, either somebody was standing next to her and they did not appear to be paying attention in my opinion or she was by herself. Now, some of these items were handed to her by one of the other items. I can't hear you and you're accepting theft on the one. Thank you. >> The district attorney did accept charges. Go ahead and stand up for me and turn around back. How do I um how do I how do I get her? >> So, transport is like bonding around or whatever. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, what's going to happen is she's going to be transported to the umble jail. I'll have to send the charges to the DA once they they get to it can take anywhere from 6 to 12 hours to do those. Okay. So, now if she doesn't have any history and all that and she qualifies for a uh like a $100 bond. Okay. Now, you can she qualifies for what's called a true trip. Okay. It's kind of an involved process. It involves going downtown, paying the bond, which is like $100 and some like a $15 sir charge or whatever. Um, they will give you a piece of paper, you bring it to the ULE jail, she signs it, you get a thumb print, you have to take it back downtown and they will give you a release paperwork, then you come back to the umble jail and then I release her there at that point. But for any reason, be it uh history or or whatever um they deny, then she'll have to be transported downtown and she'll have to see a judge before. In Texas, police must get approval from a prosecutor before making an official arrest and filing [music] charges. This step-by-step process shows how seriously they take it. Not just to catch someone, but to make sure the case holds up in court. >> Like I said, this can take anywhere. Well, if it's denied, like I said, it can take it can take 6 to 8 hours before we'll know that. Um, and then she'll get transported and then she will have to call you. I don't know what their time table is down there. >> Okay. And can she make calls to uh out of state number? Um, I would imagine so. >> But yeah, we'll grab we'll grab her cell phone. >> Yeah, we'll take her cell phone. That way she can call you from that from at least the emblem. >> All right. >> Show one female custody. >> Okay. Go ahead. >> All right. M. What's going to happen today is you're going to receive a citation for theft under $100. Okay. Sign a citation. is not admission of guilt or innocence. Just stated that you understand you're being sided for that you have to contact or appear before the court which is the city of Humble Municipal Court. Phone number and address going to be on the citation. >> Why do I have to go on the court though? You can pay it before then. >> Yeah, you can handle it before then. If you want to handle it before then, >> you got to handle it before then. You got to >> Well, basically the thing is if you don't handle it before then, you do have to appear on that date. If you want to handle it before then >> Yeah, that's that's all that information is here. you can contact the court and kind of they can step you through that process. Okay? So, that's going to be completely up to you. So, go ahead and give me right there. I'll be extra >> as long as there's no yelling or problems or drama or anything like that. I don't have a problem with that. >> Okay. >> Can I get the paper? >> Can you get what the paper? >> Oh, yeah. Your copy. >> Thank you. How long is it going to take you out to Busher? >> Well, like I told your mom, it's going to be before the charges come back. It could be 6 to 8 hours. >> In the end, the lead suspect [music] was charged with theft of property under $750, a class B misdemeanor in Texas. That can mean up to 180 days in jail, a fine of up to $2,000 or both, depending on her record and the judge's ruling. On March 8th, 2023 in Florida, it started with a routine license plate check. That's how officers crossed [music] paths with Jasmine, a woman driving on a suspended license with an active order to seize her tags. But instead of cooperating when pulled over, Jasmine chose to escalate. And just like that, a simple traffic violation turned into a full-blown legal nightmare. >> Stop. >> How you doing? License or registration, [clears throat] please? >> 45. >> As soon as I get your license, I'll be glad to tell you. >> 1549. >> Thank you, ma'am. Jasmine, the reason why I'm stopping you is because I run the plate. Your license actually comes back suspended and you have a seized tag order in reference to your car insurance. >> Oh, I mean you do. >> No, I went to the courthouse yesterday. >> Uhhuh. >> Right. You made the payment, but you didn't take care of everything else. >> How do you know? >> Because it says in my record >> I just did it yesterday. Maybe you didn't say I couldn't drive. >> Okay. Well, I'm telling you you can't drive. Your license is suspended. It's not. If I went to the courthouse, >> Jasine, when's the last time you had a ticket? >> I haven't been pulled over. You're the first one to pull me over. >> So, you've never had a ticket before? >> No. Only red light cameras. >> Red light cameras. Okay. Has your license there ever been suspended before? >> No. >> No. Okay. And the address here, is this correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you just moved back here? >> Yes. >> Okay. And what do you have there? You were trying to show me something else. What's this? >> This is the paper. That's >> okay. This shows you live in CMI. The paperwork that you filled out yesterday. >> I'm sorry. >> Well, because you have to have the correct address on your license. That's a civil infraction. >> The Cassini one. >> The one on my ID. >> Okay. Well, why would you write incorrect information? You didn't write. >> As the officer returned to the patrol car to run her info, the truth came out. Jasmine's license had been suspended four times, completely contradicting her story. But instead of waiting in her seat, she lost patience, stepped out of the car, and marched toward the officer. A bold and dangerous move in a tense moment. >> Have a seat at your car. >> Have a seat at your car when I'm done. Ma'am, I don't care. You have a child seat in the car. >> Okay, listen to me. You don't have the right to get out. >> I have the right to do whatever I want. If I can get out of my car and get out of my car, you cannot tell me I cannot get out of my car. >> Yes, I can. >> How can you not? You're not my boss. You're not my dad. You don't get >> There's a Supreme Court ruling that says you need to get back in your car. Now, get back in your car. >> Let me see the paper. >> Google it. Get back in your car. >> I'm not googling. That's >> okay. Ma'am, you're losing your car today. I'm impounding the car. I'm taking your license and I'm taking your tag. >> How are you? So, if you want to call somebody, come get you. That's the best thing. >> I'm here by myself and >> Well, I apologize. Your license is suspended four times. You have an FR suspension. >> And you have not cleared everything up. >> I just I show you the >> Everything is not cleared up. >> What do you mean? Then why didn't you tell me that? I asked her any other problem. She didn't say nothing. >> Well, I'm telling you what there is. I will give you all the court. >> I will give you all the information. Your car is getting impounded. >> What do you mean by that? >> It's going to go to the record yard. It's going to go to police impound until you get a valid license. So, you physically go down to the DL office and reinstate your license. You owe money because you're not allowed to drive. I cannot let you get in a car and drive again. >> I went to the courthouse and she said they >> I'm just telling you what's going on. >> Well, you could take it up with the clerk. >> Hey, Ron, come on over. Ma'am, I can't I can't help it if she doesn't do her job. >> I can't help that. >> How are you? >> You not understand what I'm telling you. I think >> Go stand by your car >> and then you're going to talk. >> Go stand by your car. Go stand by your car. >> I paid over 200 car. >> You're this close to going to jail. >> Don't give a [ __ ] When officers informed her they'd be impounding the car, Jasmine exploded. And just as backup arrived, she made a sudden move, jumping back into the vehicle, possibly to drive off. The officer had to act fast and with force before things spun completely out of control. >> Get out of the car now. What is your problem? >> Get out of the car. Turn around. Put your hands on the back. >> What is your problem? >> Get out of the car. >> What is your problem? >> What is your problem? >> Relax. Relax. >> You're hurting me. You're hurting me. >> Relax. [screaming] >> Get off of me. >> Relax. >> You're hurting me. Get off of me. [crying] [screaming] >> Get off of me. Get off of me. How did you get my hands? You [ __ ] Get off of me. Go to toilet. [screaming] >> Go to the ground. >> No, I don't want to go to the ground. I have to go get my [ __ ] No, you are not putting these on me. What are you doing? >> Roll over. Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. Oh my god. Get off of me, please. >> Get off of me, please. [crying] I'm only [screaming] 13 lbs. Stand up. >> My arm to my hand. Stand up. >> You [ __ ] [ __ ] What the [ __ ] Oh my god. Why did you get my kiss? What is wrong with you? >> She did it by the book. At least in her mind, yelling, arguing, running, resisting, [music] and blaming everyone but herself. Even after she was restrained and cuffed, Jasmine kept protesting, claiming innocence while being placed in the back of the patrol car. What happened to you? What the [ __ ] You can't take off on a traffic stop. >> Get in. It's all on video. >> Get in. >> I was at the Get in. >> You're such a dick. >> County 249. >> Show the black female. >> Yeah. >> All right. Thank you. >> Yes, sir. >> Negative. All units being cancelled. We appreciate it. Thank you. >> Huh? >> I got I got one. >> Yeah. >> Wrong. Well, unfortunately, when you fled from the shop, you did something wrong. When you didn't listen, you did something wrong. >> I was >> So now now And then when you when you punched me when you punched me on the ground. Yep. You swung and hit me. >> Now it's battery. >> It's all on video. >> You know how to throw a ball. >> Okay. It's all on video. >> I don't know how to throw a ball. Ma'am, >> no. >> Ma'am, it's all on video. >> You all right? >> Yep. Am I able to call my mom? >> No, you can call you can call your mom after you get booked into the jail. >> Atrest. >> Why would I arrest you? >> Uh because you ran from the traffic stop. >> I didn't ran from the traffic stop. I was at the red light. The light turn green over at the world. Got out the car at the courthouse. Did you not just drive off? >> Yesterday. >> Did you not just drive off? >> No. Yes. >> Inside the cruiser, she kept going, complaining of injuries, denying every charge, and refusing to take responsibility. Her refusal to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation or show any remorse could seriously hurt her case in court. >> You'll go to jail today. >> She lied. >> Unfortunately, you go to jail today, you'll get booked, dude. >> Okay. So, when are you taking me? >> When I'm ready. It's my time. I will get done and we will head that way. >> So inconsiderate. You hurt me. I'm bleeding. You hurt my both of my legs. >> And you said I punched you. I can't even throw a punch. >> I've never even like fought like that before. What are you talking about? You said complete. You're trying to tell me 30 lb girl was being threw a punch where both of her hands behind her back. That's a lie. >> Yeah, we're good. Thank you. >> You're good. >> No, we're not. >> Just one. Just one on a traffic stop and she didn't believe her stuff was suspended. And >> I believe you. >> Then she decided to jump when when her car was getting ready to get impounded. >> You lied. >> She jumped in a car and took off. Nobody got hurt. No one. >> I'm hurt. >> I'ming hurt. I'm bleeding in my head. >> You can't give her there 51. We can respond to people while it's a DNR. >> Nope. You can't leave. We're going to the jail. >> Then let's go. What are you waiting for? >> We got to wait. >> How much do you weigh compared to how much do I weigh? Doesn't make any sense. >> You say I throw a punch for what? To make you feel better. I did not throw no punch. How can I throw a punch? Want to go to the courthouse to find out why this lady likes me. Wish you knew I would get in this predicament. Doesn't make any sense. I did my part. went to the store to find out what's going on with my lady and she lied to me so my heart can't stop. I cannot afford to get that out. I have to take care of my kids and this is wasting my time and my kids time for no reason. >> And then you got to tell somebody, "Oh, are you okay? What has happened to you? >> You got to go home, open up a cold beer, right? >> Who's going to feed my fingers? Who's going to put my [ __ ] kids to bed? They're going to wonder where their mother is, but she wants to pay her money. >> She made her choices. Now, who exactly is she planning to blame? In the end, Jasmine was booked and charged with resisting an officer with violence, resisting without violence, and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement. If convicted, she could face several years behind bars and steep fines. The court will take everything into account, her past violations, her attitude, her behavior during the stop before handing down a sentence. On February 2nd, 2025 in Walmart, Ohio, a woman was caught intentionally miscanning $31 worth of merchandise. And with Walmart's strict policy against thefts over $25, police were called immediately. But what started as a minor shoplifting case quickly spiraled into something much more intense. >> What you got? >> So, um I was observing her. >> Okay. >> Um I register eight, I'm sorry, nine. >> Okay. >> I didn't see her um scanning the shoes. She gives the name as Jessica. Um, you can get information >> and uh we already told her that you know more than $25 we want to put a trespass and she already got it. So, >> very good. >> And here's the training receipt for >> just set it down. I'll grab it. Thank you. >> We're not pay for it. >> All right. >> How do you spell the last name? >> D T A R E. >> Okay. You don't have any weapons or anything on you, dude? >> No. Like >> Okay. All right. So, why did we skip stuff today? What happened? >> That it was an accident. I was in a hurry mostly and I thought the EDT would kick the, you know, the shoes cuz I have the money and then I thought it scanned. It even popped up with the round thing, you know. So I thought it went on there but it didn't. >> Okay. >> Like if I even thought it didn't, I would I would have stopped so easily. Like I I >> Okay. >> I'm just going to read you your rights real quick before I ask you any more questions. Okay. Jessica, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you. >> My grandma, it doesn't. I'm so sorry. Like, >> okay. How often do you shop at Walmart? >> Not very often, honestly. Like, I My mom passed away last year. Like, I don't really do >> Where do you normally shop at? >> Just in town where I live in Riven. Like, I I don't have a problem. >> Have you ever been caugh shop with >> No. or no. >> Jessica's response was defensive from the start. Even though Miranda writes must be read before questioning someone in custody, her reaction showed an attempt to dodge accountability. She claimed she thought she paid for everything, leaving room for doubt. Even when the evidence clearly contradicted her, >> you can ask the judge and everything. I even said I was in the wrong. >> We're not We're not I don't know what you're talking What's in your pocket. Don't touch it. What's it? Don't touch it. What is it? Uh, >> what are [laughter] you doing? >> It's >> God. I'm Oh my god. >> Please don't. >> Ow. Grab her bottom. Grab her behind. Grab her. Ow. Grab [screaming] your >> You're hurting me. Why did you break >> Why did you hurt me? I'm going to kill you guys. Break my arm. Stomach your stomach. >> You're going to break my arm. I wanted you to let go on me. >> Loses views. I'm going to go the cub. >> Yeah, I know. You're going to be sued. >> Cob got one. Oh, why you hurt me out? I was your knee tapping my face. >> Here, bend her down. Just get her. >> I'm going to see you guys. >> I'm going to see you guys. I'm going to see you guys. No. Get out of this. >> She me with it. >> No, you hurt me with pregnancy. >> Ain't nothing in my hand. But you [ __ ] trying to me. That's me. >> Yeah. No, I'm bleeding because you guys hurt me with whatever you guys had. >> Open your hand. Open your hand. Damn. >> I'm bleeding if you guys get off of me. >> Open your hand. You're going to get chased. >> Call the lawyers. >> Open your hand. >> Okay. Well, get [screaming] off of me. >> Open your hand. She dropped. >> Why did you guys hurt me? >> She dropped it. It's in between her legs. >> That's okay. I'm going to call the lawyers when I get to go to jail. As soon as things escalated, she began yelling, accusing officers of hurting [music] her, and threatening to sue. A common tactic meant to overwhelm law enforcement or lay the groundwork for a [music] future legal defense. But all it really revealed was a confrontational and uncooperative attitude. >> Guys, get my back. >> We'll be back. We'll be back in. Let's go. >> Let's go. >> I wouldn't have my shirt. >> No. Let's go. >> Okay. I'm going to call the cop. >> Let's go. Let's go. Great. Call him. Let's go. >> Push up against. >> Yeah. Why didn't you guys hurt me? >> Okay, let's do let's just search it first. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Search me for what? I didn't have nothing with me. >> It's for a >> piece of for [laughter] at least in the car. My feet are wet. >> I don't have nothing with me. So whatever the hack color apparently it didn't work. You're a two grown man holding a little woman. Really about black. Huh? I don't have nothing. >> Hey, will you just just shut up? >> Yeah. Well, you guys shut up. I got you guys. >> Two of you. >> You guys are jumped on me. Two of you. I am trying to stand up. >> I know you are. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to piss on you. >> I wouldn't do that. >> Yeah, that's whatever you guys pounded me. I am trying to stand up unless your lap. >> Yeah, I knew. Just sit. She's good. >> That's >> Well, actually, I didn't check your coat. >> Oh. Ow. Yeah, I'm going to do all this dates. >> Stop. >> All this dates. >> Stop. >> What if you got off of me and let me sit in the car like you guys would other people? Or are you guys really that I'm a chick? >> Yeah. And you guys are choking me. Look. Look. >> Choking me. Choking me. >> Why are you guys choking me? Why are you guys choking me? I can't breathe. >> Can you guys get off of my neck area? >> Well, get off of my neck and let me breathe. >> On your neck. >> There's two of you. Okay. Look at my jacket. Is it not going up in my throat? >> I got unlock it. I got it. My arms are coming out of the handcuffs and next you're all going to get me in trouble for it because you guys are rough out. >> It's going to get adjusted. Just stop moving. >> She tried blaming the officers for her injury despite the fact that it stemmed from her own resistance. When a broken meth pipe was found on her, it became a key piece of evidence for drug possession. Pushed into a corner, she accused the officers of planting it. Another familiar strategy to shift blame. >> I am relaxed. What are you guys doing? I am relaxed. I am not struggling. Why won't you get off of me? Does it look like I'm struggling? >> Not now. You stopped. >> Okay. Well, cuz you guys won't get off. >> You're still pulling away. >> You guys are hurting me. You guys are choking me and you want me to not struggle. >> Can you guys tell me I can breathe? Like >> you guys stop. I would participate now. Can we participate? Oh my gosh. [snorts] What the? >> Look, I'm going to seat belt. >> Look, look. I need to get the jack on. Please check. >> You all right? >> I'm cut pretty bad. >> Sliced me open. >> My hand was in her hand when she crushed it. >> She's broken. Broken pipe all over the ground here, too. >> So, it was a use of force. She got she crushed the pipe in her hand. >> She's hurt. She's cut somewhere. I don't know where. >> She's like >> I also got cut pretty bad on my thumb. >> But it's really for her right now. >> Okay. >> Cuz she's got to go to jail. >> Thank you guys. >> She can walk in. Believe it. I'm not opening it until someone else is up here. >> Why? >> Cuz I can't. >> Yeah, I do. I get it. I know. And she's out of her cuffs again. >> All right. >> She's Her hands are like wet and bloody. >> She slipped her cuffs twice. >> She slipped them. This is the second time. I think it'll heal fine. All right. I appreciate you guys. >> Thank you. Yep. Thank you. She slipped her cuffs again, so she's not in cuffs currently. Somehow she got him off twice. >> Please don't >> keep your arms near. >> Police still followed protocol, calling an ambulance to ensure her safety even as she [music] continued to resist. Both she and the officer were injured, a direct result of her destruction of evidence and aggressive behavior. At one point, she even managed to slip out of her handcuffs multiple times, highlighting just how volatile the situation had become. >> I can do that right now. >> And do not fight with him. >> You guys don't attack me like earlier. >> Do not fight with him. >> I wasn't earlier. I swear to God, I wasn't fighting with him. >> Let's go. >> Step out. >> See, >> just step out and listen to him. >> Can Can he let go of me, though? I >> have to hold on to you. Listen. Step out. Step out. >> You guys are going to do this. What's your name? Of course. That was your name. I'm trying to step out. >> It's Jessica. Step out. >> No. >> And put your hands behind his back. >> So, but can he get away? Cuz he already grabbed me one time. >> You need to listen the first time. >> Yeah. >> Do it. >> But can put your hands behind your back. As soon as you step out, >> you're going to be handcuffed. We'll get them for you. You're getting >> and Jessica. >> Jessica. Okay. >> You can you just not touch me then cuz it makes it worse. >> Get I have to hold on to you. You're my responsibility. Yes, I do. Do you want to sit in there with her? She does not like me. Go ahead. >> I'm going to walk inside real quick. >> My body cam got turned off at one point. >> Mine's been recorded. >> Has yours been going the whole time? >> I Mine was Mark and Mark, but it's still recording. I'm going to let him know. [clears throat] >> Look, look. I'm sorry, but my my fingers really are going numb. >> What? >> My fingers really are going numb. >> Okay, you slipped the cuffs two times. >> Look, look. That and that's because >> we only got about a 15-minute drive. Jessica was ultimately transported to jail and charged with obstructing [music] official business, felony drug possession, and resisting arrest. She later plead [music] guilty to all charges. Depending on Ohio law and her prior criminal history, penalties could include jail time, fines, and other courtmandated consequences. On February 6th, 2024 in Palm Beach County, two store employees were accused of using the payment [music] system to quietly siphon money out of the business. Every move was caught on camera and the receipts told the rest of the story. Police stepped in immediately, but here's the shocking part. They still thought they could get away with it. >> Hi, how are you? >> Nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you. >> Thank you. >> I have like a very little bit of a story. No problem. Um, so she stole approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise. >> $954. >> Okay. >> And stolen merchandise. >> Okay. >> Amongst other things, but we only going to be prosecuting for the merchandise that she took it. >> And what's that value? >> 950. >> Oh, 950. Just that. Okay. >> Yeah. The total my total case value is,22, but $68 is from somebody else. >> There's somebody in the office with her right now. they finishing up what they're doing with her or >> we we are done. >> I just ran for you guys. >> We we'll go by your statement. So pretty much just uh actually let's just do that real quick and we'll get your information. Raise your right hand. Everything is the truth. Nothing tell you that right. Tell us what happened with this employee. >> So the employee um was caught doing pass off benefited from pass off merchandise. >> Okay. Can you explain again the pass off? >> Yeah. So basically she was acting like okay she is a customer and somebody else was ringing her and those items although they were scanned they were immediately deleted off the transaction. >> Now you're saying that somebody else was scanning for her. >> Somebody else was scanning. >> So somebody was helping her. >> Somebody else was helping her. >> Where is that person now? >> That person is coming and I'm interviewing her right after this. >> Oh. So you have two people >> today. Yes. >> So both of them benefited from each other. So this person coming in ranked this person that I have in the office and this person in the office ranked the person coming in. So they did it towards each other. >> What is the total of both? >> I'm treating them separately. >> We're not that's not that's not how it works. They're in cahoots. They both get charged with a felony for the full amount. >> I can provide that information. It's my case file is in the office. >> All right. >> According to police, the two suspects were quote helping each other. They weren't even close friends, but somehow they both ended up stealing from the same place they clocked in every day. It was like an unspoken deal. No words needed, just a silent rule. Commit the crime. Keep the secret. >> Your name, bro. >> You got to speak louder. >> I guess you have an idea why we're here. Yes, sir. >> Okay. You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. Do you understand that? >> Yes. >> Do you understand those rights which I have read to you? >> Yes. >> All right. With those rights in mind, are you choosing to speak with me? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. So, yes, sir. >> What happened? >> Take merchandise that she >> You took merchandise that >> you didn't pay. Okay. How did you do that? >> The cashier. >> You say a cashier rang it >> and then they would take it out. Like you mean by taking it out, you mean canceling it from the >> transaction? The transactions. Okay. And you said you were doing the scanning or somebody else was doing the scanning? body else. >> Okay. What is the other uh cashier's name? >> Lette. >> Lette. So, when did this start happening? >> To be honest, >> I don't remember exactly like the date when it happened, but I know it's more than one time it happened. >> This happened more than one time. >> Yeah, it's nothing. >> Now, are you getting this merchandise for what? Your family or you trying to sell it? >> I I'm not selling it. The thing I don't really I don't know why why I really do that. >> Are you stating you don't know why you're stealing it? What? >> So, so what are you doing with the clothes when you buy once you get them? >> It It's like I It's stuff that I take to pay for, but she just take it off like from me and my kids. >> So, are you saying she's doing you a favor? >> Well, I guess cuz it's nothing that we talk about. We never talk about it and she she >> Have you done that for her? >> I I did that for her cuz she did it for me. I >> So, both of you guys are taking being nice to each other, giving each other free stuff out of old name is Don. Yes, sir. >> And she never said why she wanted to do that for you. >> We never talk about it to be honest. >> Is this a friend of yours? >> No, I don't know her. I know her since cuz I started working here before her. >> Okay. >> It is just crazy cuz it's nothing that I planned. It just happened to be honest. It's not like something that I need. >> The first suspect couldn't even remember when it all started, just that it happened a bunch of times. Her confession was vague, full of contradictions and weak excuses. Like she was trying to hold back the guilt that was bleeding through every word. >> As far as like, let's just say it happened today. How later on did she expected you doing to do the same thing >> for her? >> Yes. So, let's just say if I buy now, would she come back the next day and say, "Hey, you hook me up." Or >> No, we that that's the thing. We never talk about it. It just happened. So you did it automatically because she did it for you. >> For me? >> Okay. >> And how did you pay for these things? Cash. >> My card. >> Your credit card? >> I never go nowhere. I've never >> But listen question now. You're saying that you would pay for all this stuff? Were you Were you Were you going to pay for all this stuff or you just saying that because you got caught? >> No. I'm willing I was willing to pay for it >> after you got caught. >> No. >> So let me ask you this. This had been happening for a while cuz we know it's been happening for several months. [snorts] >> When were you going to pay for the stuffing? >> I was say I was going to tell her like we need to stop this. >> That wasn't the question. >> I don't know why I'm doing it. That's the thing. I don't know why you start in the first place. I just like I wanted to talk to her. >> Have you ever been arrested before? >> No, sir. >> Never been arrested before in your life? >> No, sir. No. >> Here's here's what's going to happen in a few moments. At this time, you are under arrest. Okay? You are going to our county jail. You are going also as a felon. As a felony because the amount total goes over the felony threshold. >> Okay. >> Do you have somebody that's taking care of your kids? >> Just my daughter. >> How old is your daughter? >> She's 18. >> Okay. She's fine. She's an adult. >> She's going to go in your car. Yep. So, stand up for me, please. Do me a favor. Turn around for us, please. >> What's the threshold these days now? >> 750. >> 750. >> Yeah. 750. Um, so she has to go all the way and she has to wait till first appearance. >> First of all, >> the officers kept it calm, professional, and smart. They gently brought up her family, a well-known tactic that tugs at the heart when logic fails. When the facts don't break someone down, feelings usually do the job. You can call. Yeah. Well, you're going to have unlimited phone calls from jail. So, let's walk. Let's walk out there. Let's go. >> Show me. >> Which one will be the easiest way to get her to our cars? >> This way. >> This one. >> Can I go ahead and stop the other one? >> Yes. As we're leaving, make sure. Yes. If you want, absolutely. Do do that. >> Right here. >> You know that this is something that should have never happened, right? between her and you and there's some consequences after the actions, right? >> So, we have to copy this part of our process and um they want to be able to speak to you. Okay. >> This is set. How are you? >> I'm good. How are you? >> Deputy Martinez Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is Corporal Udell for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Obviously, you know what we're here for. Okay. You already spoke to her about it. That's their investigation. Now, we have to do our investigation, the criminal investigation part. Okay. Have you ever been arrested before? >> No. >> Never. >> You're 18 years old, right? >> I'm recording warning before you make any statements. You have the following constitutional rights. >> Any statement can be and will be used against you in the court of law. You understand that? >> With those rights in mind, are you choosing to speak with me? >> All right. And what is the what is the code worker's name? >> Jody. Do you know her last name? >> Walk me through it. You said you gave items. What did How did that happen? How what did you do? You just walked out with the items, gave it to her outside. I guess one day it started with her asking me to check her out in the register. So I did as I was scanning items. She like whispered to me to take some off. >> The second suspect, just 18 years old, admitted she followed the lead of the older woman. She voided items off her seats at least eight times. No threats, no pressure, barely any conversation, just silent compliance. Quiet, yes, but legally that's still a conspiracy. >> Didn't say it. >> Okay. And what did you what did you say to her? >> Well, I didn't say anything. >> And you just did it? >> Yeah. >> How often do you do this? >> I don't know. >> Okay. One time, two times, more than three, more than four, more than five? >> More than three. >> Just three or more than >> more than three. >> So, we're talking about what? Five, 10, 15? >> Estimate eight. >> Every time she bought an item, did she always ask you or did you just automatically started doing it for her? You thought maybe I should pay for these. You just walked out with the items. >> So, she will only go to you. She wouldn't go to any other cashier. >> Yeah. Sometimes >> you never asked her for anything. You never came up and said, "Hey, here's a whole bunch of clothes." >> I don't know. >> Never. So, what made you do this? >> I guess like the fact that if I didn't like maybe it'll be a hell for me here. >> How would that help you? Like stealing stuff? I'm not I don't I'm not following >> by being on her good side. at her side. >> Why would you have to be on her good side? Did she threaten you or something? >> You should be on the good side just by working with each other. I mean, you don't have to be stealing from, you know, trying to steal together. Friend is going to jail right now for a felony cuz she stole over $950 some dollars that you helped her with. You have approximately $75 worth of stuff. That's considered a misdemeanor. You are going to jail today. I'm going to make that clear to you. You will be under arrest today. Okay. So, here's what we're going to do. I'm going to have you sign up. You can go ahead and give that tag to her. Not going to need that. All right. She's terminated. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> You don't have any weapons on you or anything like that, right? You never been arrested before, right? >> Can I spit on my gun? >> Yeah. I'm not going to get you for a glittering. That would be real cruel of me to to hit you up with that ticket. All right. The deputy Alba here is going to go ahead and check you. Where you from? Where's your back? >> Mexican. All right. So, at this point, everything that Deputy Alba says goes. All right. I just got to go do some paperwork. You come this way. >> Just watch your head. Okay. In the end, both suspects were [music] booked into jail and charged with felony theft because the value of the stolen goods exceeded $750. That's a thirdderee felony in Florida. Up to 5 years in prison, a $5,000 fine, probation, or all three. On top of that, they'll likely owe restitution, lose their jobs, and carry a criminal record that could shadow every job application from here on out. On December 2nd, 2023, at a 7-Eleven store, the store owner made a shocking accusation. It wasn't a random thief. It was one of their own employees behind the theft. Police showed up fast, ready to confront. [music] But as the truth unraveled, this turned out to be way more than just some petty inside job. >> If she loads up a cash app card and she does not put the money in, I'll be cash short. >> I'll know it right away. >> Okay. >> But what she does is she does a refund on gas. >> Okay? So, we will never be able to find out because it'll be a anything happens in 7-Eleven on gas goes to a credit card shortage. >> Okay. >> So, it goes in a credit card shortage. I'm like, this is how the system is set up with 7-Eleven. >> Okay. >> So, we were looking for we were looking for where is the money and then short in the gas. >> Mhm. >> We would never focus on the on the >> cash app >> on the cash and the cash load card load and all. This is very strange. This never happens. She loads of a card a cash app. >> Mhm. And then immediately next transaction is $300 loads up and then next transaction is $300 cash gas refund. >> So that actually raised my my quiry. I'm lucky because since the time she joined we are having we used to be very tight. Now we are having variances like swings you know crazy and we don't have no explanation for that. He's the manager by the way. >> Okay. >> He's helping me out with his child. It's supposed to be his day off. So, okay. Got >> um uh so I went up there and we went up I can pull up three last 3 months here. >> Okay. >> So, we went up there and we actually total up and it's the same models of Rendium. It's the same kind of card. I think that's that's app she has like like $80. She was on the shift right here and she was doing a night shift. She's all by herself. >> Okay. >> There's no customer on the gas register. So, $80 she loads up on a weard whatever the the app is. So, she loads up around $80 here. >> Okay. >> And right here, just to run. >> Okay. >> And then she immediately does a refund. >> Okay. >> I think I put a wrong paper here. >> How much money total would you say? >> All I total up is $2,250. >> $2,250. >> You have the record for >> last 3 months. >> The mind of an inside thief always starts the same way. spotting a weakness and betting no one's watching, Cassandra found a loophole in the gas refund system and quietly cashed in. Doing it during night shifts when no one's around shows how calculated, bold, and sure of herself she was. She truly believed she'd never get caught. >> How you doing? [music] >> Was there an issue with the gas? >> No, I didn't have an issue with the gas. >> Nothing happened with the gas? >> No. Well, a guy came in and he was going to get gas, but then I hit cash and then he just paid the card. >> Okay. >> Other I didn't have an issue. >> Nothing. Right. Machine all fine. Everything was fine. Right. Everything was great. Right. >> Yeah. Did I know? >> Anything with the with the car? Anything that happened? You remember? >> Nothing. >> So, I'm going to talk to you. All right. I'm just going to read you these real quick. I'm going I'm going to need you to tell me verbally if you understand them or not and then I'm going to ask you a couple questions. All right. >> Okay. >> Any statement can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you understand? >> Yes. >> Okay. Now, the reason I read you these cuz we're doing an investigation on behalf of 7-Eleven cuz they they feel something happened between what he was just asking you about. Um so now I'm going to interview you and I'm going to see if you're willing to talk to me of course about it. You want to talk to me knowing these rights? Um, I don't have nothing to say. >> All right. So, basically, um, he called us cuz obviously like he was saying you there's some money missing, some transactions that was going on, um, while you're on shift. All right. So, can you elaborate on that? What's going on with that with those transactions that he was talking about? >> Um, well, I'm not sure. Like I said, it wasn't nothing that really too much happened. Like I've been gone for a while. So coming back uh it was like only only mistake that what is it? >> No, go ahead. >> Only mistake that I can think of is you know like when we ring up stuff and you hit uh cash out then you have to redo it like refund it or whatever the case is. But other than that I didn't have no issues yesterday. Like don't get me wrong, um I forgot like how to do the gas thing, but even still with that, it wasn't the lady that was here. She helped me, but it wasn't nothing. >> At first, Cassandra did what most guilty people do. Deny and deflect. She tried to stay calm, but her body language caught on camera told a whole different story. You could see the tension, the nerves, and that creeping fear of being found out. uh the owner um he was telling me that he has video footage all right of you trying to select do a transaction for gas >> but there is no customers at at the counter at on those times. So >> now I know I did go in like if it's money left on the thing, we take like we clear it out. We hit the before we close down, we hit the thing, we close it out, we come back to the register, we refund it, we put in a brown bag, but I don't see where I went to the gas. I don't know. Like I don't know where I went to the gas and it wasn't a customer in front of me. If that makes sense. I said I'm not sure because I didn't have no issues really too much yesterday with anything. Like I had that one incident, but not to where it had anything to do with gas or anything like that. Somebody did come in and pay >> um and then I made a mistake and hit cash, but I redid it to where he paid with his card and then I remember to refund it. But other than that, I don't I don't recall, you know, messing up or doing anything to where it would be $300 short. >> Okay. You being truthful? >> I am. >> You are being truthful. >> I am. Okay. She scanned it. She what? So she scanned it. She scann the the app. >> The app. >> Yeah. >> So is there like a piece of paper there that she scans >> the form? >> Cash app. >> Okay. >> Cash app. >> Me. I'll give you one thing. You have a cash app. >> Uhhuh. >> Come to me. Hey, I need $200 loaded on my computer. On my on my cash app. >> Okay. >> So I I said, "Okay, let me have the cash. I'll take $200 from you. I'll scan the barcode. >> Okay. >> And I'll take that and then the money gets loaded up through the computer system. And so you don't have to carry the cash. It's like you can use it anyway you want to use. >> Oh, okay. >> Okay. That's what it's like a like a loading up the card. How much total was it in all the transactions since I did it from around $2,25? That's short. That's >> the 7-Eleven owner, basically a silent detective. He'd gathered the receipts, the missing $300, and most damning of all, video of Cassandra running gas transactions with no customer at the pump. And now her excuses were about to crumble. >> I didn't I didn't scan my phone. Like, don't get me wrong, sometimes I put in a number so that we have more rewards, but I didn't scan my phone. >> The video shows you do. I have 15 videos showing you doing it and then next transaction you cancel the gas. So that makes more sense. We I've never seen this happening. Obviously I'm losing money every time you do that. So if you can just let me know and I'll we'll go our way. But tell me what what's going on. I mean you don't want to want to make it for longer. You can deny as much as you want. Yesterday, I personally I didn't I didn't I didn't do anything as far as I didn't do anything yesterday. I like I said, I cleared out the gas. I cleared out to where um like like you said, we go to the thing and clear it out and come back, but other than that, no, I didn't I didn't I didn't do anything yesterday. >> How about the days prior? >> I've um I've loaded I loaded money to cash out one time before I have. But other than that, I have not >> You loaded money to see I'm just trying to I personally >> is employees don't load up their own cash app. >> Correct. >> So why are you doing it? >> That's the reason why you're doing it. Why were you doing >> I mean I did it that time because I needed the money but other than that that was it. >> So you needed the money but you didn't put So you didn't have the money then you loaded up but you never informed me did you? >> No. Okay. That >> you actually loaded the um >> I'm not sure. I'm not sure what year it was. >> A month ago or two months ago when I was here last week. >> It was probably last month. >> Sorry. >> I'm I'm pretty It was probably last month, but it wasn't >> last month. Beginning of the month. >> Um I'm not sure. It probably was the beginning. >> So you loaded up because you needed the money and you didn't harm anybody else. And that's it, right? He gave her a chance to come clean. Just be honest and he'd let it go. He seemed like the kind of boss everyone wishes for. Kind, patient, and ready to help if you're struggling. But she didn't take that lifeline. Instead, she played the sympathy card, pretending to be pregnant. She didn't just steal money. She shattered the trust of someone who genuinely cared. I got you gifts when I went to this India and just came back. I have gifts for you for all my staff. So, I just want to know if you really need the money, why would you not tell anybody? I have Alex here. I have myself here. >> Is it Let me ask you one more time. Is this the only time you did or >> Yes, that's the only time. >> I'm not going to ask you again. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Is this the only time you did? You know, >> why she should be touching that cash register without a customer present? >> There's no need. >> Like even if you go to the gas and when we clear it out and come back, we refund it and put it in. There's >> no refunding, ma'am. >> Right. But at the same time when you I personally when we don't have when you're doing the rewards number you tell us to stop using our phone numbers cuz they recorded you're talking two different things. >> I'm talking about No. So >> no I I know >> again I'm telling you if you tell us the truth you go our way. >> Wait I I need you to be honest with us. Okay. Cuz if you're not honest I'm going to pull all the footage and we're going to get detectives involved and it's going to you need to be honest. >> What were you doing in this picture? >> The video. >> The video. Why are you touching the screen? >> I was refunding gas and voting on cash app. >> I don't feel like you're being honest with me. >> I'm being honest. Okay. >> How long has this been going on for? >> Just last month and then now. >> Okay. So, this has been going on since last month. >> Yes. But I haven't I only done it twice. Well, three times. >> Okay. When was the third time? >> I'm not sure. It was last month as well. The 7-Eleven is involved in this. >> What you say? >> 7-Eleven is involved in this. So that's why I'm telling you, please >> I understand. >> Tell us the whole thing and we move. >> I understand. >> Load up. You have too much weight on your shoulder. Just let us know. Go from there. So >> how many times an idea? >> Three. >> Three times. >> Three times. >> How much money? Um two two and then the three. >> So 700. >> This is just yesterday. >> All right. Gosh. >> Can we talk to you, sir? Outside. He's pregnant. Put him in the front. >> Yeah. We're going to get you all your stuff. >> Did you get dropped off here? >> You have anything on you now, dear? No. >> Did you hear it? >> Okay. >> In the end, Cassandra was arrested and charged with [music] grand theft for embezzling $2,250 using fraudulent Cash App transactions. She could be looking at serious prison time, hefty fines, and being forced to pay it all back. Maybe probation if she gets lucky. But her record, it's ruined on March 5th, 2023. At first, it was just a car with windows tinted too dark. Nothing major. But that was just the beginning. When the driver started weaving through traffic and boldly parked in a handicap spot without a permit, officers had no choice but to step in. What they found behind those dark windows, a situation far more alarming than anyone expected. >> I got him. >> Hey, can you come over here, please? >> Hey, roll the windows down. Hey, windows. windows. >> Yeah. I can't see. >> Huh? No. Pulling you over cuz you're a tent. You got a driver's license. >> Um, no. You going to have to look up my name. >> You have a handicap sticker? >> No. You just you just follow me and stop me instead of um pulling me over. >> My bad. Let me record it. >> No. Step out. >> Step out. Turn around. Hey. No. No. No. Don't play that. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. >> I ain't even do nothing. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop. Put your hands behind your back. >> M cuz I'm recording. Like that's crazy. I ain't even do [ __ ] You just pulled me over. >> Hey, you're getting pulled over for this window tent. >> Put my tent. So why you restraining like weed in the car? >> They ain't got [ __ ] to do me. What the You >> stop. Come on. >> You know you get no [ __ ] You don't get no. You don't get no [ __ ] You doing >> for 10. Stop. You don't get no [ __ ] show you a woman. >> You sound so ignorant right now and everyone's looking at you. Congratulations. Look at you. Just put me >> Look at you. >> Whatever reason look at me. I'm looking at me. Hi guys. >> No one's talking. >> I don't give a nobody like you ass cracker. I'm literally coming my eyebrows. You puss my [ __ ] tent [ __ ] Give me a ticket. You you holding my arms and [ __ ] >> Go down now. >> Don't give a [ __ ] about money. You >> okay? Even after being cuffed, the woman refused to calm down. She screamed, cursed, and called the whole stop ridiculous. Her anger didn't ease up. Instead, she shouted obscenities and tried to draw attention from everyone nearby, acting like she was the victim of some huge injustice. 13 on the front. >> You're going to jail. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Awesome. Doing our job. >> Hurry up. Take me to jail. [ __ ] [ __ ] Bubbles for your puss. >> Puss cracker. >> Where is that at? >> Serge right on the seat covered up right there. >> Open that damn door. >> Perfect. >> Open it up. >> I love it. >> Unbelievable. >> Thank you for not reaching for that. >> Okay. Why would I reach for that? I'm not I'm not a [ __ ] threat. I would just get my eyebrows up. I reach for that. You want to kill me? >> You want to kill me? You have a concealed weapons. You want to kill me. >> All right. You have a concealed weapons. >> That's not mine. I pointed at you. I'm not I'm a female. It's like five. It's five. Do y that bad? Did y'all miss that bad? >> But when police searched the vehicle, things took a turn. Not only were the windows illegally dark, but they also found a loaded gun tucked under a child's jacket in the front seat. An incredibly dangerous discovery. The woman lashed out, but her wild unhinged stare said more than her words ever could. >> You going to go to jail for weed? >> Hey, Corporal. She She was going to try to flee. She She was doing this little circle and then she just kind of like freaked out and pulled in here. But she was doing this ridiculous circle. So the car will she can see everything. >> Hey, so Sarge, it was underneath this. >> Yeah. >> Under right >> concealed underneath. Okay. Okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I could I could smell it, too. I thought you saw like a I thought maybe you saw something and see, but yeah, I could smell it. >> No, I saw the bag in there like >> Yeah, re and then there's like shake and crap all >> you can read better than better than that. >> Where's the serial number? >> Right in this little window. >> Uh 45774586. Yeah. Yeah, that's it. >> Bro, I don't know what these white things are, but they're literally everywhere. Corv, what the heck do you think this is? >> I don't really know. Let me see. This look like I don't know if it's gum or like >> Where are you finding it? >> I found a couple under the seat. I found one over there under the car seat. This one was in a book bag in the back. That is weird. >> Inside the center console, officers uncovered marijuana and a digital scale still dusted with drug residue. They ran the serial number on the firearm, checking for links to any open cases. Strange white substances scattered throughout the car. are only added to the suspicion. Nothing about the scene felt right. >> No, they might be. >> Yeah, like a marshmallow. Like >> the ones I go in the hot chocolate or whatever. >> Yeah, that's what they say. >> They might be. >> Hey, big What's he saying? Her name is >> Mike. J A N I E I A H M Y E R S. I ain't got a lie. >> 26th July, 1996. >> Relax. >> Yeah. No, cuz she the one who understand. You're You're playing the victim. It doesn't work. Stop. Stop. No one. No one's helping you. No one. No one. Everybody knows you're wrong. You're wrong. You got guns and drugs. Stop. Stop. >> Okay, that's fine. >> So, this isn't yours? >> It's in the same bag. >> Okay. Stop. Stop. Stop. You ass nerd. Go a kill me. >> Keep talking. You keep talking. You keep talking. >> You keep talking at them. Keep going. >> And you too. So when you stop see >> just go run her. Go run her. Go run her. >> It's it's it's it's not a >> common. >> She's wild. Huh? >> That's all I think. >> Is that >> Yeah, that's what it looks like. >> All right, cool. >> That's probably why she got pregnant. She kept dropping them under the seat. >> You probably need to make sure she takes those with her to jail. >> It did kind of look like the mar the like mini marshmallows are hot chocolate. It's hilarious. Then came another blow. An open alcoholic beverage container sitting right there in the car. That meant she could have been driving impaired or at the very least violating open container laws. It was yet another offense stacked onto the growing list. >> She's wild. [laughter] >> Jesus Christ. Why are you so loud? Why are you so loud? >> The thing that I found the funniest was she's trying to get everybody hyped up and everyone's just like >> I know everybody's looking at her like what is this crazy lady doing >> Hold that for me real quick. >> At least give her at least give her four of them spot too spot. She was crazy, dude. You hear that? >> So nasty. >> She is. She was way out of control. >> Just a mad woman. >> You going to have fun going to the jail? [laughter] >> Oh. Uh, Sergeant, where was that bottle? Is that alcohol? What% alcohol? >> We're towing your car. >> That's fine. I know. I just get out. I know. >> I car me to jail. Throw it away. [laughter] >> Like what dog? Must be you. >> There's no air vent between me and you. So it it must it must be you. It must be you. >> You know there's no air vent between me and you. >> You know that, right? >> Smell. Oh, I smell like that. >> I'm not going to smell you up. You're weird. >> Eventually, the woman was booked into jail and hit with multiple charges, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of over 20 gram of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting without violence. If convicted, she could be looking at up to 5 years behind bars, plus traffic citations for the initial stop. On March 14, 2024, two teenagers were caught quietly stuffing merchandise into their handbags at a local store. Security suspected they were planning to leave without paying and [music] quickly called the police. But what happened next was even more shocking than the theft itself. I'm giving you. Don't reach for it. Oh, I'm sorry. >> What? Nothing. Yeah, >> but we didn't take nothing. >> You attempted to take stuff and then you went back into the store and ditched it. >> We didn't though. We had stuff in our hand. We never left out with it. We >> This lady was on that officer. He was on the phone with the asset protection guy and said they even got you on camera. Okay. So, all the stuff that you'll be able to see too. Okay. We didn't just show up here out of nowhere if you know what I mean. >> Yeah. >> So, just go in front of the court cameras and they'll deal with it. So, we got to we got to get charged today. >> There's a lot of questions we got to answer. Have you you know, have you been arrested before he tells that? >> Yes, we have. >> Okay. Have you been arrested before? >> Everybody still needs to see that. Exactly. >> I know. I know that the lost protection agent wants her. >> She does. So, I have to figure out what she loed on her that >> you didn't successfully take anything, but the attempt at Right. >> That's so irritating. >> We're just going to take her. I'll identify her and then I'll meet up with you guys in a second. Okay. >> Going to take her Both girls were detained, but they kept denying everything. Totally unaware that just hiding merchandise is enough to be charged with theft. That kind of naivity didn't just show poor judgment. It revealed a serious lack of legal awareness. >> Okay. This is stuff they initially pushed out. >> Uh yeah, they concealed it in their bags. >> Okay. >> Uh most perfect. Uh, anyone else with them that you know of? >> Just the two that I spent. >> Just the two. >> Um, could you uh come up with like a receipt on this? How much? Like this. >> You want it combined? Otherwise, I can try to figure out. Unfortunately, that one um I don't have I didn't have this on camera. >> Said we're 100% that she >> concealed cuz she had the Nike things. I thought she had socks. We're just not sure what all because they brought the stuff back in. So, we found it all. >> So, I say we just do a combine to order together >> and for both of them for Yeah. Well, they pushed it out. So, >> right. They walked out. >> Conceal. We're good. Um, so he's going to get a receipt and start working on that, but there's enough for her, too. Um >> Um, so I know he's going to get a receipt for that and work on >> I'd imagine. Do we have any priors with them? >> Yes. or I don't know if we do, but they do both have been arrested for just do all county with it regardless. We'll set it up together for combined total. >> We'll get through this. >> We're as decent with you as you are with us. >> So, we're going to pull the squat up so you don't have to walk in the rain. >> I'm going to put you in a nice dry, heated squad and we're just going to figure this out. >> Okay. This is our supervisor here. So, I'm just going to follow everything that we're expected to do. >> I already checked this. >> Same for everybody. Same for everything that put you in the squad. >> And that's just going to go with us. >> Okay. >> I'll put it in the front with us and it'll just stay with you. >> Police confirmed that both had prior theft charges. But this time, they weren't scared. No panic, no remorse, just cold silence and passive resistance. This wasn't their first rodeo. For them, stealing wasn't a mistake anymore. It had become a survival strategy. >> Yep. We'll just throw another quickie at the squad. >> So, one quickie just for before we put you in the squad. Go ahead. >> We just don't know what you have to say. >> Okay. Cuz we did not leave out the store with nothing. We had stuff in our hand, but we did not leave out with nothing. >> Don't look at the videos. We're kind of going by what we have. >> I cannot be doing this stuff. Like, I'm so irritated. Like, this is >> Yeah. Yeah. We'll let you as soon as we can. We'll let you use the phone. >> Okay. >> Yep. >> Yeah. We just got to figure this out. >> And if you have to go to the distance, does she go with us? >> Uh, it just depends on Yeah. So, if if if if she's not arrested, you are, she can't stay with you then, >> right? Yeah, I understand. But we'll figure it out. >> Okay. >> Okay. And like I said, as soon as we know things, we'll let you know. You're being decent. I appreciate it. So, I'll just let you know everything I know. But I'm going to hang out with you until we figure it out. >> See what they need. >> This is ridiculous. I'm getting picked up, too. >> So, I'm going to go to the >> Well, how did you steal? You know, you guys have to steal. >> I didn't go to county. >> Okay, there you go. That's your answer. You're going to go to go to county. Why my phone right there too? >> How long does it cost? I have like got to be at work. One of the girls revealed she was pregnant, using it as a plea for leniency. She was terrified of being separated from her child and family. But the truth is, when they committed the crime, they weren't thinking about the baby. That only came up once handcuffs were involved. Her pregnancy became a lastminute shield, not a reason to do right. 14. I send the photo here. >> Just going to just put everything in your purse. >> I got to go to work. >> Hey, listen. I was going to do Okay. All right. Um, I'm going to double check to see which car are you guys in. >> Three. >> All right. >> Officer Pat is standing by. >> This is ridiculous. >> I got my car up over there. Where did go? >> I think maybe the moon. H why you got >> that's a requirement unless you want to sit down right now. You do that >> call yours and that's just something that they require us to do cuz believe it or not people intentionally fall over and act like we push. >> What happened? >> We getting this is ridiculous. What's your 20? >> Depends. >> So, what's going on, sir? >> Huh? >> What's going on? >> We're organizing stuff. We're figuring out what we're going to do with the car. You're going to get you in a squad here and then probably going to jail. Okay. >> I'm going to jail. >> Mhm. >> Why? >> For retail theft. >> Why am I going to jail? I didn't take nothing. >> For a retail theft, we already Okay. >> Jail. jail at W County Jail. Okay. >> Why? >> Because you committed a crime. >> No, I didn't, bro. So, I got to go to jail. >> Sounds like it. >> Even after officers explained that the security footage alone was more than enough evidence. She kept arguing. Not because there was any doubt, but because she just couldn't face the reality of her actions. >> Hi. Who are you? I need you to wait outside for me. Okay. God, >> not right now. If they have time to set up, that'd be great. >> Penny wasn't just running. She was putting on a show. She slammed on the brakes to throw off the cops, tossed trash, and even a remotec controlled car out the window, and just for good measure, flipped them the bird. But she had no idea that just up ahead, a deputy from the next county was already setting up a spike strip waiting for her to take the bait. That had appear to be a good spike. All four tires should be going through Milson now. Passing County O still northbound on 12 102 mph. Looks like the tires are starting to deflate and a lot of smoke off the tires. Going past W. Get on your stomach. >> I can't breathe on my stomach. >> Most suspects hit a spike strip and call it quits. Not Penny. She kept going, which usually means one of two things. Full-blown panic or drugfueled determination. Then instead of stopping like any rational person, she switched seats and bailed out the passenger door. A move that screamed, "I've done this before. >> I can't breathe anymore. Papa, please >> stop. >> Put your hands up. >> I just can't breathe. >> We're going to move up and handcuff you. Some play possum, claiming they can't breathe to stall for time. Penny. She was all over the place, crying, screaming, flipping from fear to rage in seconds. That kind of emotional roller coaster isn't just nerves. It's a classic methamphetamine meltdown. Penny. >> Penny. >> Yes, sir. I don't want to be around these people no more. I don't want to be around. >> You're not around anybody except for a bunch of cops. >> They were behind me. Do you have an ambulance coming? >> No, not yet. >> Do you want an ambulance to come check you out? >> Okay. >> Driver will be Penny. You want to stand by with her? Just keep an eye on her. >> Yep. She's all over the place right now. Well, she already admitted to Christina to using heroin and or meth like 4 hours ago. Okay. >> I don't know if that was her just randomly saying it or if it was questioned. She has not been Miranda. As soon as I flipped around, she punched it before I even literally got like straight into there. I had eyes on her the whole time. >> She like scooted across to the passenger side, bailed out, yelled, "Leave me alone." >> The moment she admitted to using drugs, cops had no choice but to get her checked out. The last thing they needed was a suspect oding in custody. >> Alone. Penny, you sit up for me. Penny. >> Penny, we need to get you. Sit down. >> You'll sit up for me. Okay, >> then I know you can breathe. Okay. There's more going on here when she >> way >> inside. I don't want to do this. >> How old are you, Penny? >> I'll be 53 if I make it. Yeah, my forehead is bad. I feel woozy, lightheaded. I've only done this three times. >> Sit still. So, you can't go to a mental hospital. >> Move to the left. >> Point your legs towards the front. I'm going to get you buckled. Okay. Okay. >> And then we will get you to a hospital. Is it cool enough back here? >> Yes. Thank you. I don't deserve this. >> I cranked up the air for you. >> I died. I should have died right there. >> We don't want you to die. >> We got to try to stay nice and calm for him. Okay. Watch your leg here. I'm going to shut the door. >> And I don't need prison. I've been in prison all my life. Second time this year I have shaved my head and I'm not right. I steal. >> Stop pushing yourself up on the bed here. You're going to push yourself right off on the stop kicking. >> You see me. >> We're going inside. We're going to the left. She's hiding at place today. She's going to be really sleepy cuz she hasn't slept in 3 days. And this is what we're going to have. And they said don't bring her back. There's nothing that you're going to do. When it was all said and done, Penny was locked up and hit with secondderee reckless endangerment, fleeing and bail jumping. But here's the thing. This wasn't just another car thief. Penny was a repeat offender with a serious drug problem. On April 14th, 2024 in Walmart, Florida, police were called after a report of shoplifting. The suspect, Natalie, had already been identified on store surveillance. But when officers approached her, it quickly became [music] clear this wasn't just about a petty theft. I don't want to put you on the ground. >> You're not going to put >> Natalie's desperation started to show. Cornered and out of options, she got louder, accusing officers of having bad intentions, trying to stir confusion and cast doubt. Her arrogance came through loud and clear when she claimed to know the law better than the people sworn to enforce it. >> All right, >> I am Pence. >> Okay, go ahead and put your hands behind her. Go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> Be easy on her, please. >> I'm trying to, but she's not being easy on me. >> No, you're literally not supposed to touch me. >> They're on their way. >> You are not supposed >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You're not supposed to touch me. >> 66 10 12 the suspect. I appreciate it. >> I You know, I've been done 20 years in prison. I >> She's stupid. She tried a new angle, spinning a more detailed story, hoping to turn suspicion into sympathy. Her goal to convince officers and anyone watching that she was simply caught in a misunderstanding. But at this point, it was just a lastditch effort to dodge the truth. >> You never got to pay. He just was pushed into the room. >> Yes. >> Which what side was it? Was on the left side or right side? >> As you're coming out of Walmart, it would be on the left side. Her behavior only made things worse. When police tried to place her in handcuffs, she screamed, thrashed, and warned them not to touch her purse. >> Can you grab my glasses off my hand? >> You just put your hands on me for no reason. >> Actually, for a reason. >> It's not me. >> Stop talking and listening. The body cam footage spoke for [music] itself. She compared Florida law to New York's, claiming things were more lenient back home. It was a desperate lastminute attempt to justify the damage already done. >> The drunkness wasn't the problem. It >> No, it was because she was pushing me. I didn't do anything. I'm not the victim. My husband's drunk. I'm trying to get him in the hotel. Do not put your hands on me. I understand you're a police officer, but I would disclose for this, too. You don't know what happened. She's acting like she had a reason and she did it. >> Problem is public, right? In an open setting and it's domestic. At which point, let me put it this way. The state of Florida, right? Different from New York cuz I know we deal with a lot. I deal with a lot of New York. >> I'm from New York. So, you know, I know how that works. And like I said, I'm I'm about to go to the academy. I went to school for all this. >> I know. But New York is different from Florida. If I go to the academy in a month, >> I know, but the uh so the the the laws are not the same for Florida and New York, right? I don't know. Uh New York, >> it's a lot different. We would have been in our house right now. This would have been an appearance. >> I said, New York has a lot more leniency in regards to certain things. Florida does not. And I know she's not allowed to put her hands on me. >> So, actually, she is allowed. >> She's not. I I I went to school for this. >> What she's telling you? >> So, New York law must be different. on a criminal investigation. >> She just wants um brownie points and she must have a quota. >> You're not listening to Walmart. >> It's true though. I did not disobey her. I stopped when she told me to stop. >> I did, sir. I stopped when she told me to stop and I sat my ass on that curb. >> But she cannot do that. She's not allowed to do that. >> So listen, if you if you go into >> like you're going to [ __ ] my whole career up because what? Because you wanted [ __ ] a quota. >> It's not It's not a quota. She'sing my career up is what she's doing. She'sing my career up. I did not do anything. I did not disobey her. I did not disrespect her and I did not um what do you call it? I did not resist arrest. I did not resist arrest. >> Listen, when you're in cuffs >> and I am very my family is very wealthy and I'm I >> She repeated her claims of innocence, boasted about her social status, and insisted the officers had it all wrong. They fell off. >> I swear they I didn't take them off. >> And just turn around for me. Let me get these on you. I can't. >> I just I don't understand why. I don't get it. I don't get it. I do not understand. >> All right. I'm going to go ahead and help them out. >> I don't know why. I'll be right here. >> I don't want to go. >> Hold on. >> Just do. >> I don't understand. >> All right. >> I'm not trying to >> I mean, maybe. I don't know. >> Can we go? Cuz I want to get this over with. I'm so tired. >> Are you banging? Yeah. Can we just go and get it over with? Man, >> that's what he's doing. He's got to write the report. >> I need to call I need to call my mom. I need to talk to my kids. >> Yeah. >> Eventually, she was booked and charged with resisting arrest without violence, a misdemeanor offense. Penalties could include up to a year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. The charge stemmed directly from her refusal to cooperate during a domestic disturbance investigation on March 11th, 2025 at a Napa auto parts store. Police were called after the store manager discovered that employee Jaime Brewster had been secretly issuing refunds to her own card. Each refund seemed small, but together they added up to thousands. And now the truth couldn't stay buried any longer. >> I got my my female employee doing fraudulent returns. Okay. >> So, she's basically scanning items and then taking her phone and tapping and doing the refund to her to her >> to her on items that she hasn't purchased and and really haven't been returned. She's doing the >> Okay. So, there's people there returning. >> Not there's not even people there. She's just picking an item in the store and then returning it. >> Okay. So, Okay. Wait. So, it's basically she's picking the item. She's scanning it and then I can she's that she paid for it which then she's returning it. >> Right. >> Okay. >> So, I've got her for about $200 on camera, but I can tie her credit card back. Of course, we just got turned on to this yesterday. Um I can tie her credit card to about $2,100 for a return. >> So, how how do you were able to get the title of the credit card? How do you get that? >> Because of her credit card number being at the being on the transaction and it's the same credit card that she uses to pay on her personal. >> Okay. Do you have all those transactions already that shows the two like the,000 something like that? So you got on camera doing $200 worth of it. >> U but you don't have the other 200 the other amount but you have the transaction of her credit card. >> Well her is it a credit card or is it a bank card? >> A debit card. >> It's a Visa card. So, cuz usually debit card is the one where you cuz once you get over the limit of a credit card, if that's your limit, they're not going to keep refunding you more money into the credit card. So, you sure it's not a debit card? >> Well, it's a Visa card. That's tell her personal card. So, she purch So, she purchased these stuff and then ask for refund back for this. >> No, this is just showing what she's actually purchased compared to >> the past. So, it's nothing on the crown. Okay. This Okay, this is just something in the past, right? But um how were you able to find out that? Okay, you got on camera and then all the the cards to her, >> right? So if these are the ones we have her on camera, which are the most recent, the last three here, this is her actually making a payment on her account of stuff she's purchased. Same >> same card as the ones that are going in here. >> And these are the last four digits of card. >> The manager didn't just guess, he came prepared. He pulled transaction records and security footage before calling the cops. That made all the difference. Instead of chasing rumors, police [music] had solid proof to work with from the jump. >> Total is $2,132.65. >> It's going to be a little bit higher than that cuz we have to pull one more transaction when we get over there. It's probably going to be anywhere from $50 to $70. >> And these are different days or >> Yes. >> How many days have you been doing it for? So it started 11 1 >> and then >> and then it's >> multiple days. Sometimes she did it twice. >> So it's been going So it's been going from >> it's been going on since November 1st, 2024 all the way to making it seem like >> March 7th of 2025. >> Everything you told me nothing but the truth that help you got. >> All right. Perfect. And first another thing I got >> you guys want to prosecute first charges on her. Okay. >> And we follow through. I I got another case with y'all right now on the external tab. >> So, she's getting it ready and she actually has it hid underneath her desk. >> She put >> she gets tape ready. >> She used to work at O'Reilly's >> and I think she got fired from O'Reilly for the same thing. >> She's been with y'all since it opened, right? >> No, she's only been she's been with it about five or six years. >> And does like a Apple PE type? Yeah, ours are tap. See the little black thing right there? You'll see her in a second. She's going to slide over. >> You can see the card. You saw the red card on her screen. >> Then she she slides over. Now watch. The total is $2,132.65 65% that she got refunded back to herself >> with without even purchasing the items. So, she's basically so she's basically grabbing items, scanning them, >> and acting like they're return items and then she's getting money. Okay. >> Uh let's see. I don't see her see if she's still in the store. >> She's supposed to be working today, correct? >> Yeah, she was there. We just watch she was there. Now, sometimes she'll run out and get a >> At first, Jamie was careful avoiding duplicate refunds so no one would catch on. But recently, she refunded the same set of spark plugs three times. That slip up blew her cover. Changing up the items each time showed she was thinking it through. And word was she'd pulled a similar stunt at O'Reilly's before. Now the police were just waiting for her to return from break. >> Hey Jamie, how you doing? I'm deputy from the Pal County Sheriff's Office. This is Deputy Cortez. Um, so there is situation going on here that was brought to our attention. Before I start asking any question, I'm going to read you your Miranda rights. Okay. >> Um, everyone that I read you, you're going to tell me you understand them. Yes or no? >> Okay. >> All right. Um, >> I do. >> You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. You understand that? >> Yeah. >> Yep. Um, any statement you make must be freely and voluntary giving. Do you understand that? >> Yeah. >> You have the right to the present. It was brought to our attention, I guess, that they did an audit on their end in the account um reference to like refunding and when they saw they have you on camera getting items and refund them to your account >> to your card >> to your bank card >> or credit card, whatever card you were using. >> The only time I've ever done that was for when I did a purchase for Joe and he had me do something else for him. Who's Joe? >> Have you been doing this from March to November now? >> I mean from no from from November to March. So November of last year to March of this year. >> Um >> Yes, sir. >> You were? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Any reason why were you doing all these refunding and refunding them back to your account? Cuz we have a total of almost $2,000 something dollars. >> No, sir. It was parts that were purchased and never picked up. Most of them. >> Okay. So, parts are big because that you decided on your own to refund it to your account. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And I'm sorry. >> Okay. All right. >> Jamie came back ready to deny, maybe even explain it all away. But with so much stacked against her, timestamps, card data, surveillance video, there was nowhere left to run. Eventually, she admitted everything. At that point, more lies would have only made it worse. All I need to say is of course you're going to be terminated today. Um I need your keys. >> Yes, sir. >> Um your last check will be here tomorrow, >> but you cannot accept that check until um all of your uniforms are turned in because of course we paid for all those. >> No, I paid for these shirts. >> You paid for the shirts. Okay. So, well, if you paid for them, that's fine. I I remember that now that you did pay for the shirts. Um but your check will be pro prrated. Um, and I think you owe owed us like $25 um on your account. So, that'll be taken out of your account. >> You're like, "What kind of belongings do you have here?" >> Just my personal belongings that I have. >> Can we Here's what I'll do cuz I'm going to trespass you from the property as well. You can have someone come up and pick up your property um at a later date and they can come and Greg can help you get that. >> Yeah. So, or she can come with us too like to pick up your belongings, but we have to be friends. You can't come on your own. Hey, I need you to come get me, please. I'm being arrested. Just please come get me. I'm I don't know. I need you to please just figure it out. I I don't know, babe. >> You want to put everything whatever you want to put in your truck. >> Are the keys in your purse? >> Um, my keys should be up on my counter. You have nothing in your pocket or anything like that? Okay. >> Take this. Take a >> Once Jamie confessed and the police confirmed it met the threshold for a felony, they made the call. She was under arrest. No yelling, no resisting. She just stood there handcuffed without a word. That silence said it all. resignation, regret, and the weight of what she'd done. >> They probably put him in the car, too. Can't go nothing to the jail. [clears throat] >> We'll go to the car and get the keys. Okay. >> All right. All right. Just standing right in front of my car. You got to put your hand like if you're praying. Yeah. We're going to go with you got slim wrist to wear. I'm ready. That's good right there. All right. >> How long have I been? >> A while, right? I'm disappointed. >> Jamie Brewster was charged with organized fraud and grand theft after embezzling over $2,000 through fake refunds. Under Florida law, she could be looking at up to 5 years behind bars, a $5,000 fine, and an order to pay every cent back. These stories aren't meant to entertain. They're meant to stay with you.
