prone to both physical and verbal aggression let's get started police were called to an apartment in Ohio on February 9th 2024 when a couple got into a fight the suspect was Michaela a 19-year-old girl who had a disagreement with her partner she also reportedly participated in aggressive conduct including choking and beatings last night uh she so you're you're the one that called I so no my friend Dominique Smith he's the one that called he's my friend so last night she choked me you want to walk over yeah we'll go over here she choked him three times I know you're in paf and there's a scratch too but she did choke me and then she also slapped me in the face okay pulled me by my hair and I do I knew you guys probably would think it looked like a hickey but I did record the conversation of her saying like I did put my hands on you and stuff and I basically gave her she doesn't have a car so I basically gave her the option of I will take you back to your hometown or I'm going to call the police like I need her out she's she be takes my phone so I can't contact anyone so I told my best friend I said look here's my address if I don't respond I I need you to call the police within x amount of time so like cuz in I kept looking out the window waiting for you guys and she would not come and basically like I said she puts her hands on me she screams takes my phone and I even locked her outside for a little bit just to try to see if her mom would come in pick her up something like that does she have any weapons or anything like that in the apartment okay no guns or anything no no guns no gotcha no um you said all this happened last night has this kind of been an ongoing thing um so she kind of started putting her hands on me in December this is what it looked like last night mhm and so that's what that is that's what it looked like last night um but like I said I have a recording of her saying like I didn't mean to put my hands on you and stuff just cuz she I heard her when she was outside on the phone with her friend she's like they're not going to believe you they're going to say it looks like a hickey you're not going to get me arrested all that kind of stuff I literally gave her the option before I had my friend call you that I said I will take you back but you need to leave either the cops are going to come and get you or I will take you back but you cannot be here anymore like I can't I can't do this how long have you guys lived together for um about a year we moved here in July 1st I think is when we moved mov here but she's been like she lives here like she does get mail here residency but she also like goes back to her homeown for like weeks sometimes a couple weeks at a time or so you guys been dating for longer than that and even pulling her hair the victim's voice was tense and the evident wounds on her neck portrayed The Dread she was feeling and the victim stated a wish to quit the relationship which triggered been here for a year and I get mail that comes here and um I told her I said I'll leave but I don't drive she does and she didn't want to drive me cuz I live 2 hours away so she asked me to find somebody who m in Columbus and I've been trying to find somebody but I don't have nobody okay and um so she walked me outside and then I was begging her to let me come inside she let me come inside and then she turned off the Wi-Fi cuz my phone's off and it only connects to Wi-Fi so I couldn't text nobody and then she just actually me leave before she called y I didn't know she called y but before she called y'all and then I said I'll leave but I was asking her to turn on the Wi-Fi so I can get all my arangement set up where I live and then by she turned on the Wi-Fi when y'all got here so okay basically that's it but we was arguing yest today and okay what happened yesterday when you were arguing not much BR just the same [ __ ] okay so what's up with the necks on her the marks on and I think she knew I was at the point of like holy [ __ ] like you just did that to me and so I grab I actually went to grab my phone and she took it and I was like I just want to make sure I can so we are going to arrest her um and I'm not saying that's because you want this um but we have an obligation because it is domestic violence um because you guys live together you guys have been in a charges this is the likely sentence Michaela received strangulation serious criminal violation depending on the circumstances strangulation might be prosecuted as a second third fourth or fifth degree crime the most serious second deegree crimes may result in lengthy jail terms domestic violence depending on the gravity of the offense penalties vary from a fourth deegree misdemeanor which can result in up to 30 days in jail to a third degree felony which can result in a lengthy prison term resisting arrest depending on the gravity of the ACT a misdemeanor punishment can result in a brief jail sentence and a felony charge of resisting arrest can result in up to 18 months on May 2nd 2024 the authorities conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle that crossed the center boundary line a you cross over the center line so please get back in your car no I'm like okay well you got to listen to me this isn't request she wouldn't listen to me like you going have to give me your ID I was wife to leave y need to call it a day here she's had too much to drink you know I just kicked her out and he started to kind of get aggressive and come up on me and he had a drink in his hand so I kind of had his like his control in his not controlling his wrist but had his wrist hit Bay so he didn't attack me out of nowhere and he was like you just touched my wife k wife out I'm going break your neck and I was like no sir you're not you're leaving and then he basically came at me and when he did I took him down right here we were rolling around and then Chris came up and kind of saved my ass we Dr him outside we Dr him outside I noticed he had a gun and I was infantry in the Army so I took his gun make sure it was cleared and got hit away from him and then got here okay Sor thank you
