You live back here or what? >> You live back here or >> Can you please help me? >> Help you? We can try to do that. You have a driver's license on you. Where you coming from? I'm pointing it down at the ground. >> But it's with me. >> Okay. >> So, you don't have any ID on you? >> Don't do that. Ah. >> Hi. >> What's your first name? >> They don't have a first name. >> You don't have a first name? Didn't you just say your first name was Hazel? >> Anybody else in the car with you? >> I ask you a question. What's up? Can you please switch this off? >> Get what off? >> This light. >> I'm turn this light off. >> Standing right from >> Yeah. >> Is that your kid in the car, too? >> Nice. >> 6120. Stay up here for me. Where do you live at? >> What? Don't do that. >> You're going to fall. >> I am going to fall. Please. >> Well, quit trying to walk down here. Like, no [ __ ] >> No [ __ ] Please don't do that. Please. Please. Please. Please. >> Get away. Godamn. Leave me alone. Get back up there. Are you going to go to jail? >> From the jump, the woman kept begging officers to turn off their flashlights, likely to hide her bloodshot eyes or sluggish reactions. And when they realized there was a child inside that wrecked car, the stakes went from bad to terrifying. Her erratic behavior only made things worse. >> Walk back up the hill. What's his name? >> Oh my god. >> Go up there. >> My daughter is our house. >> Go up there or you're going in cuffs. >> So I can get him out. >> It's a daughter. >> Go up there and I'll get her out. Go up there. >> I have up there. >> I understand I up. I understand I mean get her out. >> I understand I up. >> Go up there. Go up there. >> Even from my eyes to your eyes. Go. >> What are you asking me? >> Because >> you're not making any sense. What are you asking of me? >> Please don't call it in. >> Call it in. I'm already out here with you. This is not getting ignored. Go stand up there in the road. What is her name? >> Go stand up the hillside. That's what I'm asking. >> I hear you. I know this. >> Move before your child's putting a [ __ ] ammunition. >> My child take the pants off. My child's taking the cuffs. Move. >> My job to save the head. >> She's getting ready to drive your damn car. >> She's taking the She's taking the car. >> Give me the keys. Keys. >> Take the keys off. >> Stay in the car. Please >> stay in the car, hun. Stay in the car. Walk up here for me. >> Please >> walk up here. Walk up here. >> Come on. >> I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. I hear you. I hear you. >> No, you don't. I'm not being disable cuz you're not listening at all. >> I'm listening to you. >> No, you are not listening at all. >> Please don't do my daughter like that. >> I'm not doing her like nothing. But I'm getting ready to do you like a DUI. >> It's fine. Please don't get me. >> What is your name? >> Don't let her Don't Don't cry like that. Don't Please though. My name is H. >> Hazel. She know. >> How do you spell your name? Hazel. >> H A Z E L. >> Where are you staying at then? Your house on Fourth Street burnt up. >> Mhm. We're staying at 154. >> What's the hotel name? Just make that easy. You're staying at Welcome Suites. You're staying at >> uh extended stay. Are you staying at Linta? >> Extended stay. >> You're staying in extended stay. How have you been? How long have you been there for? >> Damn. Since last Tuesday when it fires. >> As the conversation went on, Hazel's panic spilled into talk about a burned down house and where she'd been staying. The officers kept their cool, asking sharp questions to piece together who she was and what was really going on. That back and forth wasn't just small talk. It was key to confirming her identity and figuring out her state of mind. >> Shots did you buy? >> Skin shots. >> Like small little shooter bottles or large bottles? >> They're in the car. >> They're in the car. All right. Well, two little shot bottles shouldn't do this to you. >> I know. >> So, what else did you have to drink tonight? >> A lot of shots. >> Just a couple shots. Anything else? Any narcotics, pills? No. >> You on any type of medication or anything like that? I'm just shots. >> Okay. >> A lot of shots. >> Is that the only Please don't let her see. >> When you say lot of shots, how many? >> Please don't let her see. Please don't let her see. >> Don't let her see. What? >> Please don't let her see. >> If I arrest you? >> Yes. >> I won't. >> She's five. >> Five. >> She was dead when it's caught on fire. >> Do you have any other family in the Who do you live with at extended stage? Some tests here tonight. Make sure that you should have been driving. >> You're not going to do that. >> Keep your feet together for me. >> Okay. >> No. Look at me though. Put your hands down at your side for me. You can keep it on. That's fine. I can see your eyes. What I want you to do is look at the tip of my finger with your eyes. I'm going to move my finger back and forth like such and I want you to follow it with your eyes just like you did. That was perfect. Okay. All right. We're going to begin. Okay. Keep your head just like that and follow my finger for me. Okay. I see you don't have glasses on tonight. Do you normally have glasses? >> No. >> Okay. >> That made me nervous. >> I made you nervous. >> Mhm. >> How'd I make you nervous? You were already in the ditch. >> I know, right? >> Do you know how you got there? >> I don't know. >> Look. Follow my finger back out here. Keep your head straight. Say maybe back out. >> I did. >> Okay. >> Well, it doesn't look like you hit the telephone pole. >> I won't hit no. >> Okay. So, you say you had about three shots is what you say you had. I'm going to say you had a lot more than three shots. Okay. I'll offer you a chance at affordable breath test to see how bad you are. Do you want to take one? >> I didn't stuff up. >> Okay. Well, you wrecked your car. >> I have a lot of stuff. No, I didn't. >> And your daughter's in there. >> It was still hurt. >> You're coming with me. Okay. So, let's walk back this way cuz I told you I won't I will not arrest you in front of your daughter. Okay? But I need you to be cooperative. Come on back here. >> Mine. >> Here's what's going to happen. Are you going to behave? Cuz if you behave, I will handcuff you in front. And >> you don't have to handcuff me at all. >> I have to handcuff you. Okay? It's part of our policy. Hold on. Listen to me. You got to handcuff. Hold on. Listen. >> I'm going to put you in the back seat. >> Hold on. And then I'm going to let your daughter sit in the back seat with you. >> But if you can't behave, then I'm not going to be able to let your daughter sit back there with you. Do you understand? She swore she only had a couple of drinks, but anyone watching her could tell otherwise. That's the classic drunk driver line. Downplay it. Act like it's no big deal. Still, the officer gave her chance after chance to walk away without cuffs, especially with her daughter right there. >> Going to go handcuff behind your back. >> I understand that. >> Do you want them in front of her behind your back? What are you going to do? >> No, I do not. I understand. Please listen. Listen. Can you listen to me? >> Are you listening to me? >> I am listening to you. >> You want to in front of my daughter? Well, you weren't listening for me. So, >> I'm listening to you. >> I'm listening to you back here. >> Can you listen to me? >> Hey, >> turn around. >> I'm I'm listening to you. >> Turn around. >> Can you listen? >> You're not listening. I'm telling you. Turn around. >> Are you listening to me? >> I am. I said turn around. >> This is bad. Please. I'm listening to you. >> You rude as hell. >> You see? >> Well, because you're not listening. >> Start listening. >> What you mean listen? >> You are not listening. You're not listening to me. I'm very This is I'm very respectful. I'm very respectful. I am. >> You are. >> Don't do that. >> Get in the car. >> I'm asking you nicely. Get in the car. >> I'm asking you not to Don't do that in front of my daughter. >> Get in the car under arrest. >> Get in front of my door. I don't know about being under arrest. Don't do that in front of my daughter. >> You're the one doing this. >> What you mean you doing it? I was lying. >> Get in the car. >> I don't give a about two in your car. I don't do that. Get in the car. >> In the car. Jesus. >> Hit my daughter in the car with me. They calling DCFS. Go. Go. >> Hazel, calm down. [Music] Hazel, >> I'm sorry. >> Calm down. >> Calm down. >> Oh my goodness. >> What you mean? Oh my goodness. >> But once the arrest came down, everything shifted. The officers had to manage not only a combat of drunk, but also a scared child caught in the chaos. That's when Hazel's tough act cracked. Anger turned into regret and her focus shifted to worrying about her little girl. >> Her keys are here. I'm just going to take her. Will you look through the car for me? She's got a son. She says it was with her cousin in East St. Louis. See, we find maybe a cell phone and call somebody. She's too I'm not going to be able to let her sit back there with him the way she's acting. She said they're staying at extend day, but she said there's nobody else. So, >> your daughter's going to meet us at the police department. Oh, she wasn't about to >> All right. >> Please don't blame my daughter. >> Hold on a minute. Let's have a nice talk. Okay. I need you to settle down. >> Okay. >> Well, it's important that you settle down because that's how we get you in and out of here quicker. >> So, the quicker we get you in and out of here, the quicker you're reunited with your daughter. >> I don't know. She don't know. >> Well, she's not coming back in booking. She's not going to see you in handcuffs. Okay. >> Okay. So, I need you to come out, walk back there, but I need you to stay calm and not get silly like you did out there briefly. Okay. >> Okay. >> Can you do that? >> But I don't want her to see. >> She's not going to see. She can't even come back and book him because we have other prisoners back there. So, she can't come back there anyway. She's going to be in a room out here that you that she can't see you. You can't see her. We're going to give her some coloring books and >> she a Well, I understand this, but here's the problem. Okay. I have to get a hold of someone, an adult, to come and get even when I get you released, I have to have someone to release you to. Someone's got to come and get you. Do you have someone that can come and get you guys? >> No. >> Going in. >> I just want to take her hat off. Are you okay? Put your hat right. >> I'm very pissed off. >> Huh? >> Where's my daughter? >> She's on her way to the police department. That's what I keep telling you. Yeah, I don't like that. >> All right, I need you to kick off your shoes for me. >> Why? >> Cuz you can't go. >> Well, let's right now, but you can't go in with your >> No, you're not. No, >> it's I didn't. >> It's just ID. >> You didn't feel like saying it that it was in there. >> Okay. >> All right. Turn around so I can hook you up. I'm going to sit you down here and handcuff you to this. >> In the end, she was hauled off to jail, hit with charges for DUI, child endangerment, and resisting arrest. With prior DUIs on her record, plus no license or insurance, she's now staring down serious jail time, heavy fines, and even the loss of custody. And just when you think the nightmare might be over, along comes another Karen ready to throw herself headirst into disaster. On July 15th, 2024, Jessica dialed 911 after a nasty fight with her boyfriend right in front of their kids. At first, it looked like just another domestic violence call. But when officers showed up, things got a whole lot messier. >> Come in. So, we're good to come in or not? >> I said come talk to her. >> Okay. >> You want to call the cops every time? Good. Get arrested. Go right here. Bye. >> Stepping out that way with you so I can talk to her. >> What's your name? Don't talk to me like that. Go away. >> Hey, Stephen. >> What's going on, man? Thank you, sir. That's how you approach me. Correct. That's not how you approach. I'll make sure I let him know to talk to you. >> Get the out of here. Now >> you want to make this video your phone's ass over. >> She's saying other [ __ ] and it's not happening. >> Okay. >> Just verbal. >> No, you said that and I said if that's what you want, I'll go do it. You're damn correct. That's what the I said another woman's >> just been a verbal. >> Yeah, I did say you acting like this is going to drive me into another woman's arms. You're right. That is what I said. Stephen, >> can I speak with you? Right outside the hall here, man. No. >> Has it been verbal? >> Yeah, it's been verbal, commander. >> And what's your date of birth? >> For what? >> So, I'm investigating investigating a crime. >> I didn't commit a crime. >> So, I'm here for a domestic violence call. So, by law, Hold on. Let me speak, man. By law, I need your first violence. >> How do I know that? Okay. >> So, right now, I I've got your first and last name. I just need your date of birth. Okay. By state law, when I'm investigating a crime, I have to get that information. >> Well, I'll take you to jail for concealing ID if you don't give me your date of birth. >> For what? >> I just said concealing ID. >> Okay. And you have my name. >> I have your name, but I have to have your date of birth. >> What crime did I commit? >> That's what I'm investigating. >> Obvious. Okay. You're investigating. You're trying to figure out what crime I committed. You have to have reasonable articulation of a crime in. >> So, are you going to give me your date of birth or not? >> You going to arrest me? >> Well, give it under threat of arrest. You are correct. If you're not going to give >> under threat of arrest, I will give it to you. >> I will arrest you if you do not. >> Okay. Under threat of arrest, I am giving up my fourth amendment right which was on camera >> under threat of arrest because I have not committed a crime >> and that's what I'm >> and you are now committed. >> The boyfriend played it cool and cooperative. But Jessica, she barricaded herself in the bathroom, tossing out legal buzzwords she'd picked up from audit videos online, acting like she knew the law better than the cops, hoping it would keep her from being cuffed. >> I don't know. You can't just come take somebody's ID cuz you don't know what crime >> I was called. A female said I need officers here now. Massachusetts >> and she's not really wanting to talk to you. >> So you're going to investigate me for a crime that I didn't commit because somebody you called you doesn't want to talk to you. That doesn't make sense. >> It's also disorderly house which you and her are going to be cited for. Okay. This is the second time we've been here. I stood outside that freaking uh window right there and I could hear both of you yelling and screaming. So that's another crime. Okay. If you guys didn't commit in a household member, then that's fine. There is another crime. >> Do you live here? >> I do. I own the place. >> So, usually the home >> for my babies either, huh? >> So, now I'm being charged with a crime as well. >> Correct. >> Yeah. I'm being charged with this orderly [ __ ] because of you. But I'm still going to go to jail for it. Thank you, Jessica. >> You're not going to jail. It's going to be a citation. >> I didn't do nothing, fool. >> You want me to go to jail, too? >> Put her in cuffs. >> I'm not doing nothing. No, you can't me for nothing. I can't even do anything. Just make your day. Just relax. No, just let go of my hands. Let go. You pull away your hangers. You're >> I want to sit down, Jessica. You're being detained at this moment. You need to complain. >> I'm being detained for what? For yelling at you. For freedom of speech. >> You're being detained at this moment. So, >> explain. We are both. >> Oh, okay. Put your hands behind. >> I thought I will resist, Stephen. I willing resist you want me to go to jail. That's what you wanted. >> Jessica, if we have to ask again if you're going to jail for your >> I will place my hands by myself. I swear to God right now. >> I swear to God. Place her hands behind your back. >> Okay. Well, to keep this to keep this scene safe, we're putting her in handcuffs. >> You need to relax. >> I'm I want to call >> No, you're not. >> I am the surgeon. I want to go anywhere. >> Stephen, I swear to God, >> can I take your phone? >> Can I grab >> No, you're not touching me. >> Okay, you want to sit down now? >> Leave me the alone cuz I didn't do nothing. >> But her attitude only lit the fuse. The second she resisted handcuffs. What could have stayed a civil dispute turned into criminal charges, resisting arrest. All that denial wasn't strength. It was her pride crumbling under pressure. >> You can see that you're hurting me, bro. Can I do them up? >> I have men. Can I do them up? >> Yes, that's better. >> Don't do that again. You're killing me. Do not do that again. >> I've done it so many times, bro. You guys need to do your job better. >> Do not do that again. >> It's easy. I can do it again. >> It's all good, Stephen. You got your way, Stephen. We're done. We'reing done, fool. >> Jessica, where's your ID at? >> You don't need my [ __ ] ID, you fool. >> What's your date of birth? >> I have every right to tell you. You don't need nothing from me. >> What's your date of birth? >> I'm not telling you. Okay. If you don't tell us about >> You can't arrest me for not telling you. >> That's going to be. So that's >> Yeah. Then if you wouldn't mind just standing up for me. Okay. >> You just said you weren't arresting me. >> So >> I didn't do anything. Dude, I've never been to jail before in my life. These are my world. I'll lose my kids if you take me to jail. >> Can we step outside and talk about this? >> No, cuz I'm not going to jail. >> Please just step outside. >> I literally didn't do anything, dude. So, you did resist when we went >> and then I said, "Let me do it myself because I have PTSD. You can't arrest me for having PTSD." >> Jessica, can we step outside so it's not any louder for your kids? >> I'm not going to get arrested, dude. >> Just I just need you to listen to me. >> I do watch those audits and they say, "Oh, you can't ask for my name. You can't ask for my ID. You can't rest." >> I want to take your legal advice from audits. So, you are going to jail. >> I didn't do anything. No, please. I've never been to jail. Please. >> We need you to walk this way. Please, >> please, Stephen. I beg you to do something, dude. >> Can we not do this in front of the kiddos? Please. >> They're my babies, Stephen. They're my babies. >> Stephen, I've never been to jail. You know that I'm going to freak the out. >> Please, Stephen. >> We need you to walk away. >> Please, Stephen. Please. >> I made a decision. I told you to stop. >> I didn't do anything, though. I left him. My goodness. Please. Please. Please. Right. This way. >> My son's crying. My son's crying. Please. My baby's crying. My baby's crying. Stephen, my baby's crying. I'll be in there, dude. They won't let me out. >> We need you to watch. >> That's why you're going to jail. >> The real heartbreak. The kids stuck living in filth and chaos, forced to witness their mother's downward spiral. You can still picture that bathroom scene, right? Instead of screaming matches, what those kids needed most was a safe, clean home. me, dude. >> I had to force your hand behind your back. >> God, please. My kids are Please. I'm begging you, dude. I won't do anything. I'll sit in a police station all night. Please. My baby crying. My baby's crying. My My son is crying. My son is crying. My son is freaking out right now, dude. >> [ __ ] I really >> I don't have anything. Do I have anything? >> I just got to make sure. Jessica, >> just right here in front of the hood for me. >> I didn't do anything. I really didn't do anything. >> I'm going to keep those up for you. >> But I need a chicken for this. Okay. It is going to go with you. >> They're going to beat me. You don't understand. I didn't do anything. I've never been to jail. Please. >> I'll leave for the night. Can you just take me somewhere for the night and I'll leave? All right. Okay. >> Why though? I didn't do anything. >> You resisted. I told you. >> I didn't I wasn't trying to arrest like he said. I watched those audits. They said, "Oh, you can't arrest me. Oh, you can't get my ID. Oh, you can't get my name." I'm telling you, dude. I've never even known about this. >> I'd be cautious on taking legal advice from people on YouTube. >> Just real quick, you were right. >> Real quick, I need you to listen to me. Okay? So, look at this cuff. See how tight it is? >> I'm going to loosen it. >> Come out. See? >> I know. I'm going to loosen it because that's way too tight. I can see it rippling your skin. Okay. But if I loosen this, you cannot slip out of it. Okay. It's going to be another charge of >> I'm not going to slip out of it. I'm not stupid. I didn't even do anything. This is literally wrongfully arresting me cuz I have mental problems. >> That's not why >> I said I'll just go somewhere else. You can drop me off somewhere. The gates locked. I'll tell my dad to just put me in there even though I hate that place. >> Tom, I'm only telling you this because you already did it. Okay. So, just make sure you don't slip out of these cuffs again. >> When she dragged her children and health issues into the mix, it wasn't raw emotion. It was a lastditch tactic trying to guilt the officers into letting her walk. Classic avoidance. The refusal to face consequences head on. >> I lost my kid. >> We didn't do anything to make you lose. >> I didn't do anything. I let you arrest me, bro. If I was going to roll your wrist, I would have ran. Dude, I would have tried to run. >> You didn't comply. >> I did, though. I said, "Let me put my hands behind my back by myself cuz I have PTSD and I'm scared." >> Well, whenever you get out, you can request the body cam footage and see it from our perspective when you flung the door open and just started screaming at the top of your lungs. >> That's That's not against the law. >> Okay. And when we tell you to turn around, put your hands behind your back. >> I said, "Can I do it by myself though?" >> And >> I was willing to do it, officer. >> How do you know that? Okay. How do we know that? How you were just >> looking at my record? Literally, I have nothing on me. >> Are you going to let me talk? I'm trying to explain to you why you're going to jail. Okay. You tensed up and refused. I had to forcefully I had to forcefully put your hand behind your back. Okay. >> I'm fully arresting me. >> All right. Well, you are going to jail. >> So, right over here to the side for me. Jessica, >> you're a true [ __ ] prick. >> Okay. >> You are trueing prick, dude. I swear to God, dude. I will have your job. >> I did nothing wrong. >> Putting you in the back. Okay. >> I don't care. I don't care. You guys are going to lose your job. I have mental issues. You are not legally allowed to do this. You have to take me to a hospital. I want to go to the hospital. Literally, I'm going to end up trying to in there. I can't take this. I just want to go to the hospital. I just want to go talk to somebody. I just want to go talk to somebody. >> This is your phone, correct? >> No. Duh. >> Okay. So, I'm going to have this in my left hand. So, if you could just go on and swing your legs out for me and we'll watch. >> Should I just make you force me? >> This will be a lot more simpler. This >> I don't really care, dude. >> Well, thank you, Jessica. >> I don't even know which way to go, but I'm I'm apparently thinking it's this one. I really >> This door over here. No, you're good. >> Like I said, I never been to jail. I don't give a >> You're completely fine. I'll show you over here. >> Yeah. Mhm. I hope you asleep real well after seeing my son cry for his mommy when I did nothing wrong. >> Can you just stand right here to the left of the door for me? I ain't stupid, but I ain't respectful after you lie to me and tell me you want to build trust with me. >> Okay. >> You tell me I'm not being arrested. Then you told me just let me put the handcuffs in front of you and sit down. You want me to just leave? You asked me. And then you told me that you want to build trust. How is this supposed to build trust when I didn't do nothing? >> Jessica, we've already explained to you what you've done. >> I didn't do anything. In the end, Jessica was booked on charges of resisting arrest, concealing her identity, and disorderly conduct. If convicted, she could be looking at fines up to $1,750, probation, or even jail time, depending on the state's laws and how heavy the judge's hand comes down. And in the middle of her so-called legal show, one haunting image stood out. A mother handing her little boy over to the cops. On August 31st, 2022, cops rolled up after a 911 call about a domestic violence incident. The report said a teenager had pulled a knife during a fight and injured his younger sister. But as the truth unfolded, the story twisted in a way nobody expected. >> Are you all right? >> Yeah. >> Uh, you have a knife on you, buddy? >> No, I have one. >> You put it right there. >> I appreciate that. I'm going to make sure you ain't got nothing else on you. All right. What's your name, dude? What do you mean hell? What do you mean? [Music] King, what's this in the store? You don't. >> You know it's protruding through your damn pants, right? >> Yeah. >> Cut your pants off with it. >> Yeah. A weather weapons on you, homie. >> Mm- You said you're 15? >> Yes. >> Is your mom hurt? >> No, my sister is cuz she pushed me. She tried to drag me out the house and then she pushed me cuz I didn't want to go to school cuz I have a headache. And la yesterday I put my head down in school and then the teacher started making a problem out of nothing. And then that's when she tried to pull me out the house. I pushed her and she ran up to me. So I punched her twice. >> Your mom your sister? >> My sister? Yeah. She's hurt. >> She her nose is bleeding. I'm pretty sure she's fine now. She tried to lie and say I stabbed somebody. >> No, no, no. She just said that you had a knife. So we're just We got to make sure obviously that we're here that nobody's uh hurt other than your sister's nose, right? But anyway, so you don't want to go to school? I got a headache. Yo, she said truency. Then what? Then she tried to pull me out the house and then that's when I punched her. >> Who? Your mom or your sister? >> Why your sister try to pull you out the house though? >> Because she was trying to put me out the house. >> How old was she? >> 16 17. >> Well, don't she got to go to the same school as you do today? >> Where' she go to school? >> She goes to school next week. She starts next week. >> You guys go to different school? Oh, yeah. Gotcha. >> All right. So then, so she punches you or you punch her like she's pulling you out of the house. >> Yeah. Push your hand. Then she run up towards me with her fist out. >> So you that that and punched her in the nose. All right. So walk me through what's uh what's up with your little 9-year-old brother. How'd that happen then? >> Because he was like, "You know about to hit my sister. You know I'm about to do that." And then he grabbed the knife. >> This knife? >> No, not that. He grabbed like cake >> and then I charged at me and slapped him with a >> Adrien fit the picture of a rebellious teen to a tea. Skipping school, pushing back against authority and carrying a knife he swore was for protection. He admitted to punching his sister, but spun it as self-defense after she came at him first. Classic teenage deflection. Guilty, but still trying to justify. >> You uh so you had this. Did you threaten your mom with this or anybody else? Just be straight. If you did, it is what it is. But no. >> All right. Uh do you uh take medicine for anything, man? You get like, you know what I'm saying, like depression or anything like that? >> No, I get depression because of my mom. >> But do you get treated for it? Do you see a doctor for it? So, I mean, I'm not This means this is coming from a guy who like trust or wants the best for you, but you understand like this reaction to the to your life problems. You could benefit. You may be depressed. You ever thought about like maybe going down and talking to a doctor about it? >> You know what I mean? Like, this is not a normal reaction to stress. You know what I mean? Cuz life is going to throw you, you know, messed up situations and stressful situations. And so, you're not on probation or anything like that too, right? She tried to threaten to call the police to escort me out. >> Yeah. No, she did that for sure. >> And she probably going to try to press charges or something. >> Just put your hands back. >> What you doing, bro? >> What is you doing? >> Put your hand, man. It's really not working. >> Get off. I didn't do nothing, bro. Okay, that's what's going to happen. >> I didn't do nothing, though. >> I didn't do nothing. Come on, bro. Come on, bro. I didn't even do nothing, bro. Get off of me for real. Get off of me. >> Get off of me. Get off me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop it. Stop. >> Get off of me, bro. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Get off of me. My stomach. You don't want to hurt me. >> Put your hands on your back. >> Get off of me. Get off of me. >> Not listening. Put your hands on your back. >> Get off of me. >> Put your hands behind your back. He opened up about depression tied to his mom, hinting at real pain underneath all the anger. Instead of seeking help, though, Adrien lashed out. And when officers tried to arrest him, he went from talking to full-on fighting. His mom jumping in, making the take down even harder. >> They're playing right now. Turn around. Stop the ground. Turn around. Whoa, buddy. Whoa, buddy. My eye. My >> just comply. >> Oh, I can't >> the best you can. You don't want to hurt you absolutely end up hurting [Laughter] my dad. I called him in his eye. >> You can't do that. >> No, [ __ ] See what they did. >> Stop touching me. Stop resisting. >> Resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> Just recording. >> Just stop resisting. You just >> let go, buddy. >> Let go my neck. He's also in hospital. >> I will monitor you. >> That's not how it works. We have to take him to the hospital in the jail. >> You're poking your fingers in. >> I seen what you did, bro. I seen what you did, bro. You ain't got to lie about it. You don't put your That's not professional. >> This a kid. >> It's a kid. He's still a kid. >> Fingers in his eyes. >> Back up. Back up. Back up. >> Trust me, mom. >> Back up. >> Back up, mom. Thank you. >> No. No. >> Just don't stop doing that. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. You hurt you. >> Put your hands behind your back. Listen. >> You acting stupid. Please put your hands behind your back, Adrian. >> Please put your hands behind your back, Adrian. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Here's the twist. The mom was the one who called the cops to begin with. But the moment her son was restrained, she flipped, accusing officers of going overboard, yelling about excessive force. That contradiction made the arrest messy. But the core issue wasn't the cops. It was a family dynamic built on conflict and weak boundaries. >> Still need a supervisor. [Music] >> Slow down, but continue. three years. >> Hey, when you get a second >> All right, that's going to be a couple minutes. >> You cannot live in a hot. >> We need to actually drive. >> Let's get him to the car. I think >> don't resist. >> Yeah, no more. >> Don't resist no more. >> Give me try. >> No, don't resist. Come on. We're going to take down Calm down. We've been doing this for 4 years, baby. Calm down. >> Calm down. >> Okay, Mom. We're going to take him to the car and let him take anywhere. Go downstairs. >> Come on, Adrian. Let's go. >> Go down the stairs. generator. >> Mom was hitting on me. >> Yeah, mom was number two. [Music] >> Cuz you were putting your fingers in my eyes. >> No, buddy. >> You were putting your fingers in my eyes, bro. >> He's cut. I'm I'm good. You get that last round. I don't know. >> Come on, boy. No. >> Get off of me. >> Just stand up. Just stand up. >> I don't want to. >> Stand up. >> I don't want to get off of me. I want >> I just want to me. >> Stand up. Let's go. >> Get over me. Let's walk. Come on. >> Stop. >> Get up. Come on. You get your duck. >> I got to let go of the leg. Get over my neck. >> Get over my neck. Get off the car. >> Adrian, get in the car. >> Please get off of me. >> Come on. >> Afterward, her distrust was crystal clear. She accused police of lying and covering up even though she was the one who dialed 911. The truth, if you can't control your kid and you bring in law enforcement, you can't turn around and blame them for stepping in. Accountability starts at home with parenting and environment. >> Could you come downstairs? Your son wants to talk to you. We have need you to sign some paperwork. >> Talk to me about what? >> I don't know. He said he wants to talk to you. >> He want to talk to you? >> If you don't want to talk to him, you don't have to. But >> okay. Um paperwork for what? >> For you. >> What does it say? >> You are going to be summoned. You are not going to be arrested for interfering with the arrest of your son. >> Interfering? >> Yes, ma'am. This >> Oh, so I guess that's why so I guess it's really necessary at this point to press charges because he >> Well, he he's >> he was ging my son's eyes out. The example of all of them. >> They they go off of you, >> right? >> So if you make him feel like it's okay to gouge out a 15year-old's eyeballs, >> I will watch the body cam. That's my job. >> But don't do But what you just did was not right as a super body cam. That's what I >> um I'm not going down there and talk to him. I'm not signing nothing. I'm not. Matter of fact, I'm not opening up my door anymore. >> My hand. I did not physically go to to fight him. >> I was telling him to stop what he was doing. >> Okay, I understand that. But what I'm what I'm telling you is that you're not going to jail. You when you go to court, you go to court and you tell your side of the story to the judge and that's how that goes. But as of right now, this this is where we at. >> My side of the story is on all on that video, all on that body cam you was wearing. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Did you feel like I was interfering with y'all or helping y'all? >> Speaking. Okay. At the beginning, yes, you were trying to help, but at some point >> start dodging my son's eyeballs out >> at some point. Then you became violent. You were trying to pull you were trying to assault him and trying to pull him away from us. >> These things are happening. He should hold a partner accountable for what he did. You didn't see him guarding his eyeballs. He's going to lie in front of you on his jaw. >> And this is why we don't respect y'all, bro. That's why you can't get no respect. You a liar. You just lying in front of me. You're lying. Like you didn't witness your your partner do what he did. And then you run around. No one respects y'all. That's why. That's why you a liar. Can't respect a liar. Hold your partner accountable. What he's doing is not supposed to be done. He's not supposed to be ging people's eyeballs. I'll get her. >> In the end, Adrien was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest while his mom was summoned to court for obstructing law enforcement. If convicted, Adrien could face serious consequences. Juvenile detention, probation, or worse. So, here's the question. Who really holds the blame here? Is it the cops who had to act or the broken family dynamic that pushed this teen into rebellion in the first place? On October 6th, 2024, officers rushed to a Denny's in Florida after a 911 call about a domestic violence incident. Witnesses were shaken after seeing a couple physically fighting in front of children. But when cops stepped in, the truth turned out to be even uglier than expected. boyfriend. >> I want my stuff off of my boyfriend and I want to vlog on my date. >> It's your boyfriend. >> He's in there. Go ask him. He's the one who wanted to call you. >> Hi. >> Say your name one more time though. >> Na na na quasia. >> Yes. >> What did you say his name was? Quante. I'm the one that called. >> Okay. Um, >> what did you see? >> The gentleman is inside. The one that they were there was an altercation. Um, inside they the two were beating each other. They were yelling, screaming in in the restaurant. Basically, it was just an altercation. The lady, the way I hear, she wanted the shoes off. That's all I heard. But there was a a domestic basically. They were hitting each other. Um, when there's kids involved, you know, that's why I call. >> You're You're good. What What uh >> what started it? You said the shoes. >> Yes. Apparently the shoes. >> Okay. And who is the one wanting the shoes off or >> her? >> She wanted to take her shoes off. >> Yeah. >> Talk to me. Sit down. >> Um, >> did you witness anything? >> No, I'm her mom. >> I was on the phone and she called me. Then the phone fell >> and I called her back and she said she was here. I got I really She won't talk to me at all and I've got to get some type of information from whatever he says because if she don't give me nothing, I'm just have to go by whatever they say and I'm not going to have her side. So, it could go against her not having her >> nothing. I just told him to get out the room and take off my stuff. >> Get out of the room and take off your stuff. So, did what did he have on that was yours? >> Everything he has on is mine. Basically, >> his clothes and >> they're in a relationship. That's her kid's father. She paid for his outfit. They're having an argument. So, she told him to give it back, which I just explained to her that he doesn't have to give it back cuz it's a gift. >> Who is she to you? >> That's my um my girlfriend. >> Girlfriend. Whose kids are they? >> Mom. One of them is mom. >> Wow. Okay. Uh where were they during this? >> Huh? >> Where were they during >> They were they weren't there? They weren't They weren't um they weren't here. >> Okay. Uh were they in the room? Were you You have no clue. They were in the room when you left. Yeah, that was with your mom. >> Independent witnesses quickly backed up the story, giving police solid ground to work from. And from the boyfriend's own words, it was clear she wasn't just some victim in this fight. She was stirring the pot herself, demanding gifts back, lashing out, and turning a heated argument into a full-blown brawl. >> On your body, did you get hit anywhere? No. Did >> you say no? Okay. And did you hit him anywhere? >> Huh? No. >> No. Okay. So then boom, I was I was I was on the phone. So then boom, I hung out the phone with my grandma cuz she was hearing all she she weren't really understanding there was a lot of [ __ ] a lot of noise going on. So I hung up and I walk out. She following me out here. I walk off over there. She pulling on me. She just pulling on my shirt. She hit me a couple times in my face. >> What you some employees is saying they was having to watch the kids while y'all were fighting. >> Nobody watched my kids. >> I'm just telling. >> Yeah. Oh yeah, we we >> want to talk to him. Yeah. >> How long y'all been together? >> [ __ ] For a couple years. Probably about about four years now. Four, five years. >> Any previous issues >> like this? >> Yeah. >> No. No. Hell no. No sir. >> Did you see who hit who first? >> Um the woman hit him first and then he after she hit him, he hit her. >> Where did he hit her? >> The face. >> Where'd she hit him? >> Face. Like was it a punch or a slap? >> Like a punch. Like on >> they were punching. >> So he didn't swing on her. She sw >> that boy that baby belongs to. >> No. >> Um all all I know is the the little boy that's my baby. >> Okay. >> That's personally mine's. >> Okay. >> Um >> the couple had been together for four or five years. She had four kids, only one with him, and they were bouncing between hotels just to have a place to stay. Still, she chose to throw punches in a public restaurant. According to witnesses, she was the one who kicked things off, escalating everything beyond control. [Music] >> Let's just go back to the car for now. >> I'm trying to find my keys. >> Your keys? >> Yeah, because I don't know if you have any. >> Well, we can do that, but we can't do that right now. So, let's go back to the car right now. Okay. Wait till you get this done, then we'll go from there. >> [ __ ] told me to leave. I was just leaving exactly like they told me to do, right? >> I ain't do nothing wrong with nobody. >> You all right? >> Why you call me? >> I couldn't. She wouldn't have had the phone when I tried when I tried to call. >> You didn't hit her. She didn't hit you, right? >> She hit me. I didn't touch her. I'm not checking her. >> Things looking up for you? >> Things looking up for you? So, I'm talking to fellow over here. >> Why they say I was trying to press charges? >> It's domestic. >> Domestic uh the state takes over prosecution. >> The uh state takes over the prosecution and she's got to go for tonight. >> Without searching touching, >> I don't want her touching me. >> She has to searching. I don't want her. >> It don't matter what you are. >> No female. >> Okay, that's just >> that's it. You just need me right in the chest. >> I don't I'm not >> Hey, stop. >> I want you to get >> I am if you get the away from me. >> You telling me to stop. I have a freedom of speech. I can say what I want to say. >> Tell you. >> Okay. Excuse me. I'm trying to tell the cake. >> I asked her to go past the parking stop. >> I don't get a car. >> Why? >> If you make this a worse situation or impede their investigation, then you could be arrested. >> I'm not doing that. I work for a lawyer. I know my rights. I'm not impeding an investigation. >> I'm standing right here. How am I interfering with investigation? >> Well, when you start walking over to them and you have >> over there to there. I didn't walk over there. >> I saw it. Go ahead. >> I do not want >> Look, you're going to you're going to hit up the house and your mom. There you go. >> Before being cuffed, she fought the female officer trying to search her, pulling away and refusing to comply. Once in custody, she broke down in tears. Her mother begged to step in and calm her, but instead of listening, she refused to cooperate, wouldn't answer questions, wouldn't hand over her phone. All right. >> Can you just let me talk to my daughter to have her calm down? Just let me let let me talk to her so she can calm down. >> If if I saw you calm and staying calm, then then that would be a good situation. >> I'm calm, Sergeant. I'm calm. Let me talk to her to calm her down. That's all I'm asking. She's already going to jail. I'm upset. >> I can't talk to her before I go. >> If both of y'all calm down, I may think about it. >> I am calm. Oh, I do not want to go. >> Uh, make sure that >> we need to make sure you have the kids information. >> Yes. >> And is she okay with >> you okay with uh mom? Is she okay with mom? >> She's good with the kids going with her mama. >> Okay, >> one more question. Does she want her cell phone to go to her mom? >> Okay, one more important question. Do you want your cell phone to go to your mama? >> I need you to answer for me. I'm trying to be nice. >> I'm I asked you cannot talk to her >> and we can't because y'all are both called up. >> I'm not. >> So, answer my question. Do you want your phone to go to her? Your kids are going there. >> To talk to her before I go. >> Yes or no? [Applause] Stop. >> I got the camera. >> Hey, Clay. >> My mom. >> Can you Can you Can you listen to me for a second? >> The heartbreaking part, she had four kids of her own. Yet, she cried for her mom. Meanwhile, those children sat quietly, calm as stone. Chilling proof that chaos wasn't new to them. It was their normal. Rather than focusing on her kid's safety, she focused only on herself. >> Can you calm down? >> Can you Can you calm down? >> Yeah. >> I will let your mom talk to you, but I need you to calm down and I need you to stay calm down cuz listen, I'm a parent. You're a parent, right? >> Yeah. >> That's your number one job. >> If you make this worse, it's going to be harder on you. And we don't want that. Okay? What's done is done, but don't make this worse. >> Can you hear me? And look at me. >> Do you see that? I'm being very sincere in this. I don't want things worse for you. Okay? So, stay calm. What's done is done. He has no say in it whatsoever. The state takes over the prosecution when it's a domestic related situation. >> I will suggest that you are able to talk. Okay. >> But it's up to him. Okay. Yes, sir. >> And just whatever that answer is, tell me you'll take it. >> Yes, sir. So that he wants to take his kid. >> No, I don't want him over there. No, >> if mom doesn't want mom. >> No, that I was just saying that over here. I didn't know what the situation was. That's all I'm saying. >> We'll let we won't keep that change. >> Okay. >> Your mom will. >> So, we calm. We going to stay this way. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> I'm going to get it cuz I don't want to. >> Okay. I'm good with letting the situ as long as >> Where's your phone? >> Right here. >> Huh? >> Right here. >> Can you give them your phone? I'm You going to have to wait to go to court for me to get you out, but you can't kick that car or make it worse cuz they not going to give you no bond. >> The bomb man, he will rebond you out. He will reborn you out. But you have to be calm. You cannot kick the car. You can't do none of that. Okay. Were they taking him? >> She is gone. >> I'm saying they taking him. >> Yes. Cuz when in these situation, unless there's a written rule by a judge, mom will have the say. So mom is going or kids are going with her mom. By the end, she was hauled off to jail on charges of domestic violence and battery on a law enforcement officer after shoving the female cop. Florida state prosecutors took over the domestic violence case. And with assaulting an officer on the table, she could be facing felony charges, prison time, and steep fines. One painful love story wasn't even over yet. Before the tears could dry, this family was already drowning in another tragedy. On March 24th, 2024 in Florida, police pulled over a car going 60 in a 45 MP zone. At first, it looked like a routine traffic stop, but the moment they approached the driver, the whole situation took a turn no one saw coming. Do you have your driver's license or not? >> Give me one second, sir. [Music] >> You need to identify yourself. So, can you please do that? >> 134. >> Try getting his ID. Missouri. >> Can you copy a Sorry. Missouri 28. >> Yeah. Well, we want to get your ID and you're not giving it to me. So, can you please hand me your ID? >> There's more reason. >> You have to hand me your ID. You have to give it to me. Just a 14. She's not giving me her driver's license or anything. She rolled the window back up on me. Like, you can This will go a lot easier if you just give me your ID. Yes, you do. You have to present your ID. You have no option. >> ID 134. >> Missouri. You have to present your ID. You have to present. You have to present your ID. Yes, you do. You have to present your ID. 134. >> Can you get a supervisor? She's refusing to give ID. She's saying she doesn't have to and she wants to speak to a supervisor and she rolled the window up. >> Hey, show me your ID. Show me your driver's license. >> I just showed you. >> No, you didn't. >> That's just as valid as my driver's license. >> Why can't you show me your driver's license? >> I have my driver's license, but I'll >> then show me your driver's license. If you show me your driver's license, we will we will go about our thing and do our thing. But if you keep messing around, we're going to go about a different way. >> The stop was by the book. Clear traffic violation. Yet, the woman flat out refused to hand over her ID. She flashed it for a split second, then tucked it away, stalling and demanding a supervisor. Classic delay tactics to make things harder for the officers on scene. >> Okay. Can I see it? >> Flying. Here it is. >> Well, how am I going to see it when you hold up for a half a second? >> No, you can't go. information from the lady. >> No, you can't go. I want to see your ID. You're not showing it to me. >> He's right here. >> Okay. >> But you're not showing You're not showing me your ID. >> Yeah, you're about to speak, but you're not showing me your driver's license. >> When you hold it up like this, I can't see it. Let Let me write it down then. >> No, she just gives you the information. Well, >> I want to write it down. So, we stopped her for 1645, no tag, and then one brake light. She said she'll have to ID herself. She showed me her passport. Now, she held her driver's license for like a half a second. >> All right, ma'am. Listen to me. This is a lawful traffic stop, which means you have to identify yourself, present your driver's license, and prove trace insurance. If you refuse to comply with our investigation, you will go to jail. Okay? for what crime did? >> For obstruction of justice. >> What crown did I commit? >> Obstruction of justice. If you're notstruction of justice, >> if you're not going to comply, that's what's going to happen. >> Well, we'll drag you out of the car and take you to jail. That's how it's going to happen. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Now, do you have your driver's license? >> I just She held it up for a second. >> I showed you my passport and I showed him my my driver. >> You don't need a passport to drive. You need your driver's license. Oh, look. So, we all have to go by it. >> You can show it, but I don't. >> Okay. Here's where we don't argue on the side of the road. Ma'am, we just take you to jail if you're refused. Hand it to me. >> I cannot give you my driver's license. >> Okay. Then we're going to have I know who you are. >> I am. >> You want to come on this side? >> And I don't >> cuz now we're about to take it cuz I'm done. >> Hey, Jesse. Would you mind stay on that side? >> Unlock the door >> cuz we're going to we're having you step out. >> Go to the option. Even when the supervisor showed up and calmly explained this was a lawful stop and all she had to do was provide her license, registration, and insurance, she still dug her heels in. He gave her every chance to walk away without cuffs, but she kept refusing. Testing their patience to the breaking point. Do you see it? Hello. Where's your >> Let me see it cuz I got to take the camera's not on. >> I got to take it back. I got to take it back to my car. Here, hand it through the window. I got to take it back to I got to take back it to my car so I can write some some stuff. >> Are you going to do that or not? Because this is the last warning. We're just messing around too long. >> I just said here's my >> Give it to me so I can take back to my car. >> Hand me your ID. >> Hand me your ID. >> Is that what I heard? >> Yes. Hand me your ID. This is the last warning. Hand me your ID through the Hand me it through the window. Told you who we are. >> We told you who we are. Hand it to me through the crack of the window and we're good. >> Give you my money. >> Okay. Well, the door's locked. So, >> all right. Well, >> you have the window break, >> sir. >> This is my child. Y'all don't push me. >> But it's best if you cooperate. >> How old is your child, ma'am? >> Don't worry about it. >> All right. All right. Just take it. >> Hey, open the door. And we don't want to break the window. Open the door. Open the door. Open the door. >> He's right there. Open the door. Oh no, there's no more. Open the door. >> Open the door. >> Open the door. >> Come here and open the door. >> Step out here. >> Step out. Step out. Come here. Turn around. >> No, we're keeping. >> Don't worry about it. You hear the kids call? >> Take her back. Hey, step right. >> Can you tell my child where y'all taking me? >> Yeah, we'll tell him. Go. >> Okay. You all right? Why is your mom not cooperating, dude? All I wanted was her ID. Hey, >> hey, you want to look at me and talk to me, man? >> Huh? How old are you? >> You're old enough. >> She the tag. I think I don't know if they actually got her information if you want to run it. >> The damage didn't stop there. In front of her own son, she modeled nothing but defiance. The boy mirrored her contempt, showing just how quickly kids absorb what they see. Instead of teaching him respect and responsibility, she passed on her own bitterness, setting him up for a harder road ahead. >> How old are you? >> Because I need to know. Do you have anyone around here? >> To where? She got a Missouri tag and everything, but I'm trying to get him to tell me stuff. He's not telling me anything. Say he's old enough. >> And you'll have to go to jail until you figure it out. >> Bro, look at me. Look at me. Do you have anyone out here that can help you or come pick you up? Where are they? >> Hey, man. saying where she's from. >> Hey, >> are you are you from here or >> No, I'm from Missouri. We came up here for vacation. >> You came up here for vacation? >> Yes. >> Like, do you have anyone up here with you? Who? Where? >> He's in Pensacola. He's calling now. >> Who's calling? >> My child. >> No, he's not. He's not calling anybody. He's not talking >> because he's upset. I get that, but why don't you just cooperate and listen to us? >> Sir, you have my ID >> now. After the fact. >> After the fact. >> I'm just saying you didn't give me anything. You wouldn't talk to me. I had to ask over and over. >> I have weapons. I don't >> We're not using We're not using I told you what the reason. >> My child is by ourselves. >> Yes, I get that weapons. >> But could We're not out here hurting people like that. We're not doing that. >> Well, I told you. >> I don't know. It's a lot of stuff that's said and >> so how can who can come get your son or who can help your son? >> I would like to see if y'all you know can but once the cuffs clicked everything changed. Reality hit. Suddenly she gave up her info let officers contact her family and shifted from combative to compliant. That swing suggests her earlier defiance came more from fear or maybe a warped sense of her rights than real conviction. You didn't want to give me your ID because you're afraid of law enforcement and we would steal your ID. >> It's been stolen from me before and I had to keep going through the riff raff and run around to get my ID back. >> Well, that's not the case. That's not what was going to happen. >> Well, I have to be precautious and that's why I showed it in the window. >> In the window. >> All right. Give me one second. >> All right then. >> Who can get him? I know you don't know. >> And she said she didn't want us to hurt her cuz we got weapons and she wasn't going to provide ID. >> Also saying she didn't know who we are. >> She said she wanted she didn't provide ID because we'll steal it. >> Right. >> So she wants she wants a verbal warning. So I'm going to take her to jail for it cuz I've had enough. We've asked her plenty of times. >> I don't know. So she said someone's in Pensacola that he can call to come get what about the car? >> That's good. >> What about the car though? Maybe we could tow it. >> Unless there's someone else here. Let me ask. >> Hey, he's calling. Is it his stepdad? >> Okay. He's calling his stepdad. >> Is there anyone that can drive the car? >> His stepdad should be able to told you. I know, but I told you who I was. I told you what I the reason for the stop. >> I understand. Well, you should have listened when I asked numerous times. I I had a supervisor come out and help talk to you and you still refuse to listen and ID yourself. So that's not going to happen anymore. >> I apologize, sir. Have y'all come? >> Yeah, it's it's way it's way it's way past it. You're going to jail for it. Okay. So So you have your ex coming to get him or your husband, he's coming to get him, right? >> Can he take your car also or do you want me to tow it? >> Yeah. Can he take the car or no? Now we'll tell you no job. >> Okay. >> In the end, she was booked for obstructing justice, refusing to hand over proper ID, and interfering with the investigation. In Florida, that can mean jail time, probation, and heavy fines, depending on how the court views the severity. So, here's the real question. Will that boy see this as the wakeup call it should be, or will he follow in his mother's footsteps, learning to fight the law instead of facing it? On June 1st, 2024, police got an urgent call about a mom who had abandoned her young child. The kid was hurt and needed medical help fast. But when officers arrived on scene, what they uncovered left everyone shaken. >> Hi. >> You swinging? >> Is this your kid? >> No. Some lady come up here in our yard about 20 minutes, 30 minutes ago. >> See over here, baby? Hey, you want to say a word? And then she just took off and walked walked over. >> Come here. What are you doing? What's wrong, baby? >> You're hurt. Can you go ahead and have EMS 1051 to evaluate? He's consular breathing. He says his tummy hurts and that it looks like he's pretty scraped up pretty bad. >> What was your name? >> Uh, Tabitha. >> Tabitha. You said you know the lady. She lives on Quill Hollow. >> Uh, I don't know the lady. She just ran down. >> So what exactly happened? >> She said they come in the guard said she got a hold of our water holes and was spraying the trail. So I come out to see what's going on with this little boy out here and they just >> in the yard and she want to talk to me. >> Is fine. >> So I called my wife. I just said maybe you could talk to her. >> Y'all don't know this lady at all. >> No. That ain't the first I've ever seen her. >> Where did she just walked up and left the kid? Mr. Christopher, can I speak to you over here really quick? Okay. So, did they tell you what's going on? >> No. They She left him outside or something. >> She walked him down here and walked away. She left him with this random gentleman and left and they tried to get her to take him and she wouldn't take him. >> Do you know why that would happen? >> No, I don't. >> This is common normal. >> No. No. saying, "This is the first time ever." >> Witnesses told cops the mother had flat out walked away from her child, ignoring desperate pleas to stop. They even had proof it was intentional. While one officer listened to the witness's account, another knelt down to comfort the little one, crying about stomach pain and a scraped up leg. >> I mean, you know what? We're going to We've We've got to do an investigation, man. >> Yeah. >> Do you mind hanging out with us that way that we can talk to her separately and everything? I mean, obviously, you seem like you you rushed home from work. I'm not sitting there having >> any any they >> this is the she called. >> I'm going to have him just medically checked out. Like I said, he looks like he's got some rash >> and I want to make sure he's okay. He said that his tummyy's hurting. >> That's fine. Yeah, >> he'll make me feel better. I know it'll make you feel better. >> He has stomach problem. My parents done told me that they take him to the doctor like some kind of stomach problem. He has I got stomach problems. >> You got a bug? >> I don't know. I got stomach problems, too. >> He's over here. Um yeah. So he says his tummyy's hurting and he has like I noticed on the back of his legs especially I wanted to kind of just have that evaluated that way he's >> drop off though like was he straight left him so like >> walked into the front yard >> left him and walked away >> yeah I just wanted to make sure >> then out of nowhere the mother came back instead of rushing to her child or showing remorse she was cold and dismissive answering questions half-heartedly showing no concern for her kid's condition her attitude spoke volumes Huh? >> That's the girl. Dropped them all. Dropped them off. >> Okay, go ahead. Do your thing. You already know what though. >> Yep. Come here for a second. >> What's your name? >> Hie. >> Yeah. >> All right. What happened? Like, why? Why on these people's yard? >> Uh here. >> You what? >> Here. You thought You thought I was here, so you dropped him off. I was at work. He just showed up a couple minutes ago. Do you hear me? Okay. >> You That's the only reason why take anything today. >> Sure. What was your plan like was here, right? Oh, what is he? Okay. Did you you bring him inside or you knock on the door or anything like that? >> No. Uh, is that how you usually drop them off or was that something that just kind of unusual for you today? We just It didn't make a lot of sense to us. So, I'm just trying to ask some questions so we can understand. Help us understand like what you were thinking and what was going on so we can work through this. You know, that's all we want to do is work through this. >> I don't know. >> You having problems today? Something we can help with maybe. >> Oh, hey. Look like he believes she's losing her mind is what he just said when she walk >> 25. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Either that or I don't know what's going on but he's saying she's not right that she's not right. >> Okay. >> Is it probably 53 and just assuming it's 25 or it won't tell us. >> Okay. But her your eyes >> Hey y'all just do me a favor and hang out over here that way that they can talk. I know. I get it. I was going to say I understand you're trying to Hey, you go by Chris. You're the cury trainer, too. >> I've never at that store. >> Does she work for anything? >> She gets a SI [ __ ] Social security [ __ ] >> buddy. I hate to say it, but this this ain't >> no YouTube work for my parents. I want to be somebody. >> No, no, no. If your parents have the ability to care for them, I mean, obviously I'm going to be able to see him. >> Hey. >> Witness testimony painted an even darker picture. Possible mental health struggles. But instability doesn't erase legal accountability. She claimed she thought her husband was around, which is why she left the child, but police weren't buying it. Weighing whether this was negligence or something more deliberate. >> Do you do you know these people, the people who live here? >> No. Uh does anybody live the house with you? >> No. Symphony and English. >> Oh, is that him over there? >> Yeah. >> And he stays with y'all on the weekends. >> Is that right? >> All right. Do me a favor. >> Bring them out. Stop tensing up on me. >> Easy, easy, easy, easy. Have you ever been here before? To this house? Okay. Do me a favor. Just walk over here to the car. You're just going to lean on this car. All right. Turn around. Face me. Turn around. Face me. Turn around. Turn around. Lean on the car. Just lean normal. Okay. You're just going to stand there for a second. >> They tried to yell at her and was like, "Ma'am, ma'am." She didn't even stop. Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to let you call your parent. They are the legal guardians. Go ahead and do me a favor. Go ahead and call them. Where are they coming from? >> Hello. >> Hey. Is this Mr. Carl? >> Yes, it is. >> Hey, Mr. Carl. I'm wondering if you could come over here where we're at. I want to let you know before anything both the children are okay. Everything's Everything's fine. They're going to be released into y'all's custody due to the mother going to jail at this point. Okay. >> All right. Cuz this is the first weekend we let him have them and and like two weeks now we thought everything was going the right direction. >> Yeah. It's it's okay. We'll kind of explain more once y'all arrive. Um obviously I just know that y'all are how far y'all are coming from. Appreciate y'all very much for coming so quickly. >> Oh no no no. Them babies are the most important things in our lives. >> I I believe it. Trust me. Okay, >> that's my stepdad. >> All righty. Uh, we'll be there as soon as possible. >> When officers contacted the child's legal guardian, the priority was crystal clear. Protect the kid. The guardian explained that the family had trusted the mother after a long separation only to be betrayed by her recklessness. That made her actions sting even more. >> That's his wife. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> I didn't know if someone else was calling. >> No, no, that's wife. He called his wife because he didn't know >> what was going on. super honestly this is a she straight up walked up ignored him as he's trying to get her attention to he does not know who she is has no relation they are complete strangers to each other and that needs to be in the APC as well that they are complete strangers to each other >> and she randomly left here he's in a very dirty condition >> and a very poor condition EMS even had to respond to evaluate his condition what does she say out on her side. >> She said so much of nothing. I I as I was like, "What? What's going on? Why over here?" She goes, "Well, I thought my talk seconds." >> Yeah. She was I thought my She said uh she thought the husband was over here. Um I was like, "Do you know these people?" She said, "No." Um we asked her if she took anything. No. Do you drink it? No. Okay. >> Um, you decide to answer these questions without a lawyer present, you will still have the right to stop answering at any time. You also have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to a lawyer. >> Do you understand these rights as I've written them to you? Do you understand these rights? >> Do we need to have you medically evaluated by EMS? >> What What's go What What is Do you want to talk to us about what happened today? No. Okay. Turn around and face towards the car for me. I'm going to search you. >> Spread your legs for me as far as you can. I got you there. You're not going to fall. >> Why are you soaking wet, darling? >> Why are you soaked? Did you go swimming? >> No, baby was water. >> You what? They clean with water. >> Oh, baby sprayed you with water. Okay. >> Going this way. Okay. >> We're going to go behind this these two cars right there and we're going to go on the other side. Okay. >> In the end, she was arrested and charged with child neglect. Under state law, that could mean fines, prison time, or both, depending on how the court reads the severity. And just as one mother lost custody through her own neglect, another dragged her 15-year-old daughter straight into handcuffs. On April 19th, 2024, police were called to a Florida high school after reports of a violent disturbance. What started as two teenage girls brawling with the mother of one of them jumping into the fight quickly spiraled into chaos. And when cops stepped in, the whole scene went far beyond anything they expected. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out, man. >> Get help me because I have a lung disease and I cannot >> I don't care about your lung disease. >> I'm glad you said that. >> We're not suffocating you here. We're putting you in handcuffs. We're just We're just putting you in handcuffs. Okay. >> Okay. Just come over here, man. >> I don't want him touch me at all. You can suffocate my daughter as well. Please don't have him near me at all. I don't want him near me at all. At all. >> Just talk to me. Okay. >> Okay. Yeah. I don't want Give me a moment. >> Throw the window down and I can't breathe. Yep. 42. Here, I got you on both sides. So, you get get a cross breeze. All right. >> Feel like I'm about to have a panic attack. >> We'll get it figured out. >> Just just hang tight for a couple minutes. I'll talk to you. [Applause] >> Any unit not on scene can turn North High School. That man right here. >> Can you please get me out the car? I will not do nothing. >> Let me let me talk to you. >> I can't breathe. I have a lung disease. I cannot breathe. My mother have anxiety attack. Please give me out the car. >> Okay. You got you got cross breeze right here. So talk to me right now. Your daughter and the other girl. >> We have messages of them talk about they was going to jump her ass to her. >> That's why you were walking her up here in the first place. I was walking her up here in the first place to make sure that they wasn't going to jump her into and to take her to talk to the principal. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I got to get the other one. It was wild. And >> yeah, >> it's the parents are the problem. >> Are the parents out there causing problem? >> That's mom in the back of the cruiser there. >> Mom's in the other cruiser, huh? >> Yeah. And rusted. >> What a mess. >> And I saw come like, "No, you're not going to fight. He's there trying to They doesn't matter." >> Yeah. So, >> and then when you got to get physical with them, all of a sudden, you know how you're a police officer. >> But it was two girls. >> The mother kept shouting that she was a good parent, only there to protect her daughter. She denied starting the fight, but her yelling at officers, blaming others, and refusing to calm down looked more like excuses than truth. Meanwhile, her daughter avoided direct answers and ended up in cuffs. >> Offunch me. >> I don't care. You'll be in my house. Hey. I swear call my mom right now. Call her right now. >> I got it. >> I swear to God, bro. That's weird. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Officer here. That's a sign of concussion. I feel we need to call 911. >> I didn't even know that all that I didn't even know that any of this was even going to happen to be honest. I'm like, "Wait a minute." I'm telling her like, "Wait, wait, wait, wait until we get into school." They couldn't wait till we got in the school to talk, >> right? They're just >> My daughter got she got to, you know, open up the door. They both The girl was yelling, she was yelling, she got out the car, they walked up, I hurried up and got out the car to keep them from fighting. >> So, but the little girl started disrespecting me calling me. >> You miss. Do you need I mean, I guess. Well, do you need the paramedics? >> I don't know. My head. He punched you in the head. >> How old are you? >> I'm 15. >> Who punched you in the head? >> The police officer. >> So, yeah. Yeah, let's do one cuz there was a use. >> I remember you from Jennings. >> What's up? >> We didn't go to Jennings before I got to >> I did go to Jennings. Yeah. Now I'm on the streets though. What's your name? >> Did I ever have any problems with you at Jennins? Well, that's good. Sorry you're dealing with this though. >> I read you and >> I'm understanding why I got arrested. I didn't even do nothing. That's the crazy part. I did not hit no kid. I didn't even bring her up here to fight. She go to this school. Like I would never do nothing like that sitting here trying to make kids fight. Like I don't be on that type of time. Even the lady even the lady seen everything. That principal he I couldn't even stop. He was like he was like are you her mother? I said yes. I was trying to walk to the office and next thing I we didn't even get to get to the damn door. You see where they they >> both mom and daughter painted themselves as victims insisting the arrest was unfair. It was a clear dodge, a way to sidestep responsibility for what they'd done. Then came the explosive claims. The 15-year-old said an officer punched her in the head while her mom accused police of beating her all over. >> My name is Sergeant Burton. What is your name, please? >> Hi. I'm not here. I'm here to investigate the use of force that occurred between you and the officer. I'm not here to talk to you about why you're being arrested, but if you can, in your own words, kind of like give me a background of what happened prior to the use of force and what the use of force was. Like what happened? >> Like when you first got to school and then what happened from there? >> Okay, so I came to school. My dad dropped me off in the parking lot. I remember and I didn't even see the girl that I was supposed to fight. I didn't see the girls. So they was in a big parking lot over there and she was yelling at me when I was walking into the building. She was like, "Come get this f. Come fight me." >> Can you even tell me what you guys were beefing about or what the issue was? >> So she mad about a boy that she used to mess with in seventh grade and I'm with him now and she don't she just jealous. >> Was this like a police officer shows up? >> Honestly, I blacked out. I can only remember half of it, but I just remember me having her hoodie or whatever and they told me to let go and I got punched in my head. I don't I don't even know. I was just screaming and reacting cuz I got punched in my head by him. >> Cuz try to remember cuz I mean it's going to be on video. So I'm not going to say that you're trying to lie or cover up cuz I know when you're in a fight, you're not going to remember everything, but try not to leave anything out cuz it's going to be on the video of course. >> Yeah. >> So you would you say it's a mutual fight or somebody attack somebody else or >> No mutual? >> What do you remember? What would the officer be? >> I just remember him punching honestly and he was on top of her. I We was both on the ground. Me and the girl was on the ground and then I got up and then she was still on the ground. He was on top of her and then I got just got punched in my head and I asked him, "Why did you punch me?" And then Mr. Khain was trying to pull me back and stuff. >> All right. There was a teacher there present also uh doing at the time that the punch occurred. Anything? >> I asked him. I was like, "Why did you punch me?" And he was like, he had said something. I can't even remember what he said >> cuz I black out in any fights I get in I black out. >> All right. Well, where where were you hit at exactly? >> Up on my right side. >> Well, here. I'm going to come around the other side. >> Sergeant Burton launched an internal interview with another student witness. That girl admitted what the others wouldn't. The fight wasn't random. It was planned. This revelation painted mom less as a protector and more as the instigator who encouraged her daughter to brawl over a boy. The reason I'm talking to you cuz I know you had a a fight with the other girl and the officer got involved and the other girl got struck. Do you remember anything about what the officer did as far as how he tried to break up the fight or what he did physically? >> He was suffocating me. I told him that I couldn't breathe. So, I mean, so all right, the other girl tried to explain to me that you guys are have a problem with each other and you're going to you wanted to fight each other and you guys did end up getting into a fight and then while you're fighting, of course, the officer is going to get involved to try to break it up or whatever. So, what do you remember after you started fighting? What happened once the officer got a hold of you >> after I started fighting? >> Yeah, cuz you didn't you didn't grab on to you till after you guys were starting to fight, right? >> Um, I don't even remember. I remember like he was punching me and stuff and I had a bra and he was pushing on me and I was like I can't breathe and I was trying to get him. >> So I mean when he was on you what what part of your body was he on top of? >> Like my whole face like my face >> like with what part of his body? Do you remember >> his two arms? My hoodie was >> Okay. All right. Thanks. Hey, I forgot to ask you one question. The officer indicated during that fight at some point somebody was grabbing onto his gun holster. Was that you? I don't remember. >> You don't remember if something like that happened? >> No, I just remember Mr. Kain having his hands on me for real and me still trying to get to the girl. I don't remember. >> What's the What's your teacher's last name again? >> Mr. Mr. uh he a principal principal. His name is Mr. Fain. >> Okay. I'll be talking to him, too. Okay. >> And he arrested me for no reason. He said I hit him. I I I said the camera's right there. They going to see I did not hit him. One of the kids probably hit him. I didn't hit him. >> If you want to stand outside while I talk to you real quick. Uh, what was your name, please? >> My pants. Can you pull my pants up, please? They falling down. Yeah, they falling down. I don't want them to come off my body cuz I don't even know if I got underwear on. >> You want this thing hanging out of the back? >> They wanted to fight and then the opportunity to pretend itself and they started fighting. Right. >> We was trying to go to that office and they had already started fighting before I could stop them. And it was a principal or gym teacher right there and he asked me was her mother, but they were she was walking ahead of me and I was trying to hurry up and prevent them from fighting. The officer got between them and they started swinging with him in the middle, but I think he think I hit him, but I did not hit him. >> The contradictions stacked up. The teens swore they never touched an officer or grabbed at his holster. But both Officer Evans and the school principal reported the opposite, that one girl deliberately reached for a cop's gun. The principal's testimony became the lynch pin, confirming mom's role in fueling the fight and proving the extreme danger of her daughter's actions. and you're in trouble. >> I tried to walk her to that door. >> They started fighting. >> She's in a separate car. >> They started fighting before I could even break them up. He He got between >> if you want to put the officer's name right there that hit her in the face. Can we record that? >> It's all going to be part of my package. It's going to be on the be documented. >> No, you're document. >> I haven't even seen the footage yet. I don't know what happened exactly. I'm going to go. >> No, I'm a sergeant. >> We handle use We handle use of force complaints. >> But said that's why I'm here. I'm not here for her. >> Well, he been nice to me. Hold on. Hold on. He been nice. >> Hold on. Hold on. You can wait. You can wait or you can leave. >> Oh, you feel big and bing. >> Okay. Keep running your mouth. Keep running your mouth and you'll be in handcuffs and going with her, too. I will talk to you when I'm done. >> Calm down. >> Or you get the hell out of here. >> I investigate. the force that Evans used. >> Yeah. >> Not, of course, I need to know kind of like the build up. >> That is correct. >> Why he's arresting him and what for? That's nothing I in control of. I just got to make sure that if he uses force is a reasonable, I'm sorry. Can you take this other maintenance on the highway? >> You were out there with him. Yeah. >> Before the fight even started blows before Evans got there. >> He was there. He put out pepper spray, you know, basically. And I didn't hear if he said anything, but basically >> giving him a chance. >> Give him a chance and not to do it. admit didn't >> okay >> immediately and then mom's beat her ass beat her ass. >> Did mom actually join in the fight at all or she just basically >> she was just basically saying it was okay. No, she >> hyping them up and >> hyping it up. >> Yeah. All right. So he goes to try to separate. >> So basically he's just trying to separate. He gets one, >> you know, or tries to get on there. I grab the other um and trying to pull her off, you know. >> Did you see him get struck at all? >> I didn't. It was too too chaotic. Yeah. I mean, so what do you think her goal would have been by grabbing >> it? And it could have been anything, but you know, >> if I grab and I know in that time anger, if I do have it, I accidentally pulled the >> Anything you want to grab is probably the worst thing you can grab. But >> yeah, >> that's the thing you want to try and grab. >> Yeah. >> But she's also still actively uh fighting the other girl at the same time still as he's trying to >> Well, after I and I No. Well, cuz he got in the middle, got on the one, I'm grabbing the other, and you know, she she don't want to quit, you know. So that's when So that's So I can tell you this. So then, you know, I sent Kevin, she she's grabbing for your gun. I mean, I told him that cuz >> I don't know. I don't know what the >> So he turned around and he popped her one. >> In the end, all three were taken to jail. The mother was hit with charges for trespassing in a restricted area and disorderly conduct. The two girls face charges of assaulting an officer and disturbing the peace. Convictions could mean fines, probation, or even jail time. And behind it all, a mother who dragged her own daughter into violence over an old flame, teaching her kid to fight for revenge instead of to walk away. To top it off, she even parked illegally in a handicapped spot as if the rules never applied to her. From the shock of a mother and daughter falling into the same trap to the tragedy of a bitter love triangle turning into a dangerous assault on December 31st, 2024, police were called out after reports of a woman breaking into her ex-boyfriend's house. At first, it looked like a simple trespassing and property damage case. But as officers got closer, the story took a sharp, unexpected turn. >> Well, hey, it's just us. It's just us talking. What's What's going on today? >> You guys getting a bit? >> I don't know. >> Well, how do we get >> I'm not leaving though. >> Okay, that's fine. How did we get to this point, though? >> Um, he cheated on me. >> Okay. >> Okay. And then you you brought it up to him, I would assume. Sir, can you please stick around in my room? >> You guys was dumb. He does this all the time. >> Why was that dumb? >> Because when he doesn't want to tell the truth, he calls the cops. Look at the rap sheet. >> Okay. Um, when you guys were arguing, were there any threats made to each other? >> See, mental and emotional abuse. Okay. Okay, I'll agree with that. Yeah, absolutely. But all I'm going to say is if if he says one thing and then you're not willing to say anything at all, >> I want to know the truth >> about about the cheating situation. >> When did this happen? The whole cheating situation. >> Please, >> you don't want to talk to me at all. All I can do is just hear him lying. >> Would it be easier if we pull the door and step inside? >> Chelsea started out calm and cooperative. She said she only came to confront her ex about his cheating, complaining that he always called the cops whenever she pushed him to tell the truth. But beneath that calm tone was frustration boiling over. >> Can you Can you tell me about what happened though with the argument? They're in his threats made against each other. >> Listen, >> no, I'm not afraid of him or anything like that. He's not He's always telling me to shut the up and everything like that. >> I got you. Did Did he Did he threaten you? Did you make any threats to him that you're going to harm him? >> Did either of you two put your hands on each other or pushing, fighting, hitting? >> No. >> Okay. Was anything broken during the argument? >> God, what the tablet that he's cheating at me with? It's not broken. No. I'm not getting into this. You guys are police officers. Not literally [ __ ] coming in here to fix a [ __ ] problem. This isn't really a [ __ ] problem. And that's why I'm like, he's so stupid. He's going to call the cops. >> That's cuz he's afraid. >> Okay. I just I just want to play. You said that there was no >> afraid of the truth. >> You didn't make any threats to him. He didn't make any threats to you. >> No, I told him I'm hurt, dude. Can I not be hurt? >> Okay, I get that. No, I get that. When uh when we get dispatched to something like this, there's certain questions we have to ask. Okay. >> So, that that's what I'm running through right now to see if if anything criminal actually happened here. Okay. >> So, we have to get through things. Oh, >> if you'd walk me through the beginning to the end, I'd really appreciate it to the argument that happened >> just to fill me on what's going on. >> All I have asked is to tell me the truth. >> Okay. >> Soon her bitterness spilled out. She snapped that the police didn't understand her pain, calling her ex stupid for involving them. Then she slipped. a casual admission that she'd tried to grab his tablet. That detail flipped the narrative, pointing to a crime that went way beyond a lover's quarrel. >> Worried about that. I just hope that you take that in consideration. >> I'm not here to start trouble. >> I'm here to have the truth >> of a loser. >> I know you you told him this. I can hear you was the one of your guys talking. What? What is he even I just don't understand why why it's an issue where he has to feel like you guys are his counselors. Like he's called here. >> Miss, >> what? >> Do you live here? >> I just moved out. >> Okay. So, >> my address is here. I would love answers. >> Okay. Well, we're going to talk to them and we'll come back and try to get some answers. >> You cheated on me. I have a right to be mad. >> I never cheated on you. I got that [ __ ] >> So basically he told her not to come over. She doesn't let her. She booted the back door and broke the trim, forced her way in, damaged the tablet that he had and has been throwing stuff around since it >> get out of my room. There's something that I want of yours. >> Hey, Chelsea. >> But the truth. >> Why are you in here today? >> I'm not leaving without the truth. I'm not doing it. >> Do you live here? >> You don't stay here. >> I have a call for you. >> Now's your chance to justify what why you're here today. Okay. >> I've already said I want I want the truth. He can have a >> I am trying to have a conversation with this man. >> Okay. It is not. I'm upset because he literally would push me till I react and wants that. Do you understand why people do that? >> Did he communicate to you that he didn't want you here today? >> Um, does it matter if he wants me here or not? I mean, I want the truth. Is he giving me that? >> Do you live here? Do you stay here? >> My address is here. Ask him if I have mail. That'd be great. When the ex-boyfriend told officers about her property damage and forced entry, the situation escalated from a messy breakup drama to a potential criminal case. Now cops weren't just refereeing a domestic dispute. They had probable cause for an investigation into burglary and vandalism. >> Says you've never lived here. Is that >> I've never lived here? >> Okay. >> Are you saying you do live here? >> I don't live here. I don't live here now. My address is here. I used to live here. I moved out. >> Okay. So, why would you force the back door open and make yourself >> He already kicked the door open. So, don't all the damage. He already did that. Don't let him lie to you. >> It looks pretty recent. >> Why would you kick his door? >> He's already dam the trim came off, but he's already kicked the door open. >> Okay. So again, why did you force the door open and come in here? >> I told you I want the truth. >> Did you break his tablet? >> Did you break his tablet as well, Chelsea? >> I didn't break his tablet. No, it's not broken. Do you honestly know what he does on it? God, >> I can't believe. >> I'm sorry. I was so mad. >> All right, Chelsea, can you go ahead and hop up for me? I'm going to place you under arrest. Okay. >> No. No. Don't. No. Please don't. Don't. No. Please don't put me under arrest. Please don't. I always said was >> Confronted with the facts, Chelsea doubled down, denying everything. No longer playing the role of the wounded partner, but instead someone scrambling to dodge charges. Yet once the cuffs went on, her guard collapsed. She broke into please, insisting she only acted out of heartbreak and rage. >> I don't want to please. I never find it. Please, please, please, please, please, please do not. Please do not. >> Go on. Stand up. >> No. No. Please. Oh my god. Please do not take me out of here like this. Please. No. Please don't take me out of here like this. Please. I always do this. I'm sad. I'm I hurt. I'm mad. Why is that a crime? I hurt. Can I do something? Please don't. >> Let's walk out. >> Let's walk out. >> I can't walk outside like you can. >> No. Please. No. >> If you can, you will walk out. >> Please do not. Please. >> We're going to walk out. >> My kids. >> Let's go outside. [Music] >> Please, please, please. >> We're not doing this. Okay. >> Not a good idea. >> Pick up charges. Don't do it. It's literally going to be 20 minutes and you're going to be back, >> please. [Music] >> In the end, Chelsea was taken to jail and charged with trespassing, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest. If convicted, she could face fines, probation, or even jail time, depending on how harshly the court weighs her actions. While patrolling in Genoa City, Wisconsin, an officer spots a silver vehicle flying down a 25 mph zone going 70. Behind the wheel is 34year-old Britney Anderson. So, we're trying to figure out who you are. >> Okay. No, it was on my phone. Sorry. That's all. >> We just need to know who you are. >> So, >> you have my name, >> right? But we need your date of birth. You literally don't have to say anything else. It's fine. >> What do you need my date of birth for? >> Because we in order for us to run you through the computer, that's we need your last name, first name, and initial date of birth. Otherwise, we can't look you up. You're not in our in-house or anything. So, which is good. That means you must not have much of a record. >> That's right. So, but >> only going to prolong this whole thing. >> I mean, I talk right now. >> Okay. Well, >> like I said, it would we're just trying to figure out who you are. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against you. >> Eventually, officers ID her as Britney Anderson. No criminal record, clean background. Still, she stays tight lipped. She's transported to the hospital for blood work and a sobriety check. >> Down to your side. Okay. Do you understand the test? >> I think I just lost count. One, 100,00. >> Yes. two 100,000 3,000 like that four 100,000 5,000 >> In the end Britney is charged and convicted of two felonies for fleeing and eluding DUI multiple traffic violations. On June 25th, 2022 in Wisconsin. It was supposed to be just another Saturday night. But when officers arrived at the scene of a crash, they found something that made everyone pause. Three young women, all under 21, had wrecked their father's car after a night of drinking. >> Get you out of the car. [Music] Arie. >> Who? >> Aries. >> Who's Aries? >> Okay, you need to take your arm out of you. >> Well, I don't want to cut your arm. Take the door open. >> Help me. >> If you're not going to comply with us, we're going to have to ask you to cut the door open. And I don't want to have to do that. >> What's her name? >> Ary. >> Well, your name's Ary. >> No. You guys, >> this is the driver and I guess there's a couple more. >> Take me to the hospital. >> All right, it's okay. Do you have your ID on you? >> Yeah. >> Can I see it, please? >> Okay. Thank you. >> There. The rest of us are on the way. Okay. Do you want me to take it out of there? Is this you? >> No, it's my this one. >> This is you? >> Yes. >> Michigan? >> Yes. >> Okay. How much did you have to drink? >> Um, two or three. >> Two three. Okay. I'm just going to grab your phone number real quick. Okay. Just give me a second cuz when the ambulance gets here, I'm sure everything's going to move really quick. Okay, you can just sit right here. Okay, just stay right here. I'll be right back. Okay. >> I just need someone with me. >> Okay, no problem. If you can Can you give me Can you give me a minute to just walk to my squad? I'll be right back. Okay. >> Can you I just need >> Can I have you stay with What's your name? >> Laura. >> Laura. Laura's going to stay right here with you. Okay. I'm going to be try The best thing you can do for us is just try to stay calm. I know that that's hard. Okay. Just breathe. Okay. So, what I need you to do is take a deep breath in, wrap your lips short, and blow like blow. There you go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Keep blowing. Okay. Hang on. We'll We'll do it again. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Here you It's going to We're going to do everything we can. Okay. >> I'm so >> All right. Take a breath in. Deep breath in. Okay. In. Okay. Now, blow. >> Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Blow. Good job. Okay. Good job. Okay. >> I'm so sorry. I'm just so sad. >> Okay, Lexi, your your blood alcohol is a 183. Okay. All right, just so you just so you're aware that that's where we're where we're at. >> Lexi, one of the girls, was the first to speak up, and her cooperation helped officers quickly assess the situation. But no matter how calm she sounded, the breathalyzer told a different story. A blood alcohol level of 0.183. That's not just over the limit. That's the kind of drunk where your brain and body are running in slow motion. >> Okay, who's sitting in the truck? >> I don't know who it is. I just know God has so much planned for me and I failed them. >> What's that? >> How many people in the vehicle? >> Oh my god. >> One here. She said she hit her head, didn't have a seat belt on, and whoever's in the other vehicle. >> I'm so sorry. >> Andrew, what do we got? >> So, we got a 183 in the ambulance. She hit her head, didn't have a seat belt. One trapped in there being combative. Not really sure what the name is cuz she's saying like the whole nine yard. >> Who's the driver? >> The one that's Lexi and the one that's in the back of this ambulance. It's okay. >> It's going to be everything. She gave me a PBT. So, >> okay. So, this one's being a little combative. How many more people we got? >> One more. Was in a truck somewhere. I don't know. >> Open the door. How we doing? >> Okay. >> Yep. >> Okay. Who's Whose car are you in? One of the one of the firemen's here. >> Who are you all here with? >> I'm with Emily and Lexi. >> How old are you? >> I'm 20. >> Okay. Who you staying here with? >> I'm with Lexi. >> Okay. So, do you have any adults or anything? >> No. We're at a hotel. >> Okay. What's your name there? Kira, >> doing a little drinking tonight there, Kira? >> Yeah. Okay. Well, just stay tight. I want to see what's going on. Obviously, we got some people hurt and then we'll try. Are you hurt at all? >> Um, I hurt a little bit in the hip, but I'm okay. >> Okay. You are okay. We're just worried about you. When I was coming home, my wife said she was following me. She goes, "Hey." She goes, "There's a car in front of me on Double Z. I live on Apple Port." >> Okay. >> And I was behind my wife. I go, "Where? I don't see them." She go, she go, "But I'm home now." She goes, "They made the corner going by, you know, you know the area." >> Yep. >> Okay. She said, "They made the corner uh by Hawkers there." And uh so I went that way to see if I'd see them. She goes, "They're not going to stay on the road." Turned around, came back, and the car just gets hauls ass out of uh Good Shores. >> Okay. >> So I pull behind them, but I'm not fast. And they weren't going. They're all over the place, >> right? >> So they pulled over and the girl that you guys down there, Emily, uh she was throwing up. >> Oh, so they actually were pulled over. >> I I pulled them over. So my wife called to find him. I said, "Yeah, they just pulled away." I said, "I'm going to turn around." And I turned around the intersection and they turned left here and all of a sudden she just hauled and I was like, "Holy, did they not know this?" >> There was no blood, no screaming, but the tension in the air was thick. Every move the officers made was more than just standard procedure. It was a careful effort to reconstruct what had really happened. Without the help of an observant witness, they might never have figured it out. >> Pictures of this? >> I got pictures of most of it. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um >> I didn't get real close cuz they were all in trying to >> and they're going to transport her. I I have to double check, but >> Lexi, I'm going to hang out with you for a second. Okay. >> Okay. >> How What's going on? >> I'm just trying to make sure I feel okay. >> Yep. Yep. They're We're We're doing the best we can. What were their names? >> Emily. >> Emily. She's in the car. >> And Car. Okay. So, Cara was out walking around and was fine. Okay. She's sitting in a different truck that she want asked to sit in. Okay. And Emily is she's in the car. I don't really know what her >> I'm not going to argue with you. >> She arguing. Yep. >> No, it's okay. It's okay. We We will get through it. Okay. >> Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Oh my god. [Applause] >> I'm sorry. I don't mean to make you, but can I But can I hug you? >> No, not right now. Okay. >> Okay. I I appreciate that, but not not right now. Okay. I >> Is there anything? >> You can if you want to hold my hand for me now, you can. Okay. >> So, they said that they weren't really unless she wants to ride in there to try to keep her comfortable, calm down. They don't know medical reason for her to go. Otherwise, she's doing the whole I'm having a lot of anxiety. I need attention, whatever to calm her down. But, >> okay. So, what we want to do and if we can >> Yep. Take the one female and her then. Yep. >> Transport her with her to the hospital. You can follow behind. I'll stay here. Take care of the accident. >> So, how where are we putting uh that girl and the driver? >> We'll work it out with EMS and see if we can get them in there. >> Okay. Yeah. All right. >> All right. And then I'll take care of the accident. We'll hook up later. >> From there, we have two of them and then he can transport one. >> We've got the two that need some clearing here. >> Very good. Grab her >> and you can put her in your car. Follow the ambulance. These two can go. One needs treatment. Other is OWI. That one just needs to stay stay focused so we can go home. >> Okay. >> Y we got it. >> Amid the confusion, police and medics moved like clockwork. Coordinated, focused, and calm. They weren't there to judge. They were there to save lives. Still, you could feel it in the silence. This was a crash that never should have happened. >> Is I'm going to take you to Sturgeon Bay. Okay. We're all going to go to the hospital so I can get everybody's IDs. Everybody come. It's a little better environment than being out here. Okay. And then after that, we'll see about getting you to your hotel. >> Yeah. I'm going to be honest. It's not the most comfortable back here, but at least All right. So, just pop up in there. Just put your seat belt on real quick. >> I can't see. >> So, do you remember what exactly happened after you sped off? >> She kind of just went straight. >> Just kind of went straight. So, she didn't necessarily wasn't on the wrong side of the road or anything or >> she like tried to hit her brake kind of, but she knows she was going too fast. >> Okay. >> Yeah, >> she must have been going really fast. >> Oh, yeah. She drives very fast. >> So, out of curiosity, how how fast do you think she was going if you had to take a guess? >> Probably 60 mph plus. >> 60 plus. Okay. Come on. Come on. This way. >> Driver. >> No driver's Lexi. What is she being transported just for a ride? >> For a ride and we need to do PBT and plus she going to need to get her back to her hotel and her hotel's in. >> Grab a PBT for her. >> Yep. Do that right now. >> Yep. Deep breath in. Low. There you go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. All right. >> Do you have her info then? >> Uh, yep. This is her license. Mike said you were at a 136. >> Okay. >> You want Yeah. Well, hang on. Okay. So, you were So, you were drinking Al Johnson's, right? >> Okay. How did you get the uh how did you get the drinks? bartender. I have a fake ID. >> You have a fake ID? Okay. Pretty good one then or what? >> They didn't check because they were too busy. >> Well, they didn't even check it. >> No. >> Okay. How did you get this one? You just went to Wisconsin and said I needed a DL or what? >> How they got the fake? >> Yeah. >> website. >> Oh, this isn't even a real one. >> No. No. The Michigan one is real. >> Okay. >> But what started as a case of drunk driving quickly became something more. Turns out Lexi had used a fake ID to get alcohol that night. And that opened a whole new investigation, one that now included the bar that served her. She hadn't just wrecked her night. She may have dragged a local business into legal trouble, too. >> Do you think you had No. >> Um, maybe three or four mixed drinks. I have probably like four or five shots. >> Okay. >> I was like, okay, this sounds terrible. I'm good at driving. I'm intoxicated, >> but I don't know. >> Not the best idea. >> All right. I'm going to give your friend a ride back to the motel then. Which friend? >> Kira. >> Kira. >> Is she okay? >> Yeah. You You want to blow a gun real quick just to see if it went up or down or say? Okay. >> Just whatever you got to do. >> Well, I I want it needs to be fair for you and all that stuff too, right? Like we got to go protocols, but I just want to see where you're at that you didn't go up. If it goes up too high before I take you anywhere else, you got to come down. Okay. So, just deep breath in. Blow. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Good job. All right. So, you were at.186 I think before and now we are at.163. So, you are you are going down a little bit. So, that's Is she able to move around and do something for me or do I need the doctor to look at her or what's going on with her? >> Uh, well, she has a seat collar on, but I >> Yeah. Well, she said that she's got scoliosis and she always hurts. So, >> I think Doc's going to go in there right now. >> Is he okay? Cuz if if he can get her to clear, I'd like to try to do some fields with her. Well, she's pretty drunk. >> But I still have to go through my due diligence before I can actually arrest her. Unless she tells me she can't. >> Okay. >> Yeah. My hand just hurts a little bit. >> So, I'm going to sit you up just a little bit. Okay. >> No, it's fine. >> Um, tell me if it if it hurts. All right. I'm just going to a little bit more. Is that cool? >> No, it's fine. Sit up. >> Can you set up that? Good. Okay. >> Yeah. No, I'm good. >> All right. So, this is a little bit going to be a little bit odd cuz like we got this going on in here. Um, but so I'm just going to I'm going to do the eye portion of the things for you and then um if he says it's okay, maybe we'll go out in the ambulance bay and do the rest of it. Otherwise, we'll just I'll just make the call on that. Okay. I know it actually really strainful, but that's what I need. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Back to this way. All the way. >> Okay. And now this one. Just a little bit. >> All right. And I have one more. This is kind of goofy cuz it's going to go straight up. Okay. Follow it as far as you can. >> Okay. >> No, not far. Sorry. Just straight up. Both of them. >> Okay. Wait, >> blink for a second. It's It's I I realize she's walking just fine. Okay. Your your leg hurts pretty bad. >> My heels even. >> Yeah, that makes sense. >> Okay. Here's the Oh my goodness. So, here's the deal. Because you obviously hit your legs. I am going to not I'm not going to make you do the rest of the test. >> Oh, no. It's okay. It's okay. >> I don't want you to get hurt any worse than you are. Plus, you >> I'm just a little sore. you might not be able to to perform it to the best of your ability and give me false positives on that. >> Okay. >> Um, that being said, you admitted to drinking. >> Obviously, obviously, we had the the crash, right? You're I do have to place you under arrest for for >> In the end, Lexi was taken in on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, causing injury. She wasn't cuffed on the spot, but the process would continue at the station. If convicted, she faces a felony charge, up to six years in prison, and a $10,000 fine. The question now isn't just what happened that night. It's whether this moment will be the wakeup call that changes her future. What do you think? Could this be the turning point she needs? Coming up next, what happens when a stalker gets caught red-handed by police. On May 16th, 2023 in Pulk County, Wisconsin, police got multiple calls about a sketchy red car circling around a local campground. When they moved in to check it out, they noticed the exhaust was loud as hell and the plates didn't match the vehicle. So, yeah, they had every reason to pull it over and figure out who was behind the wheel. >> Well, I do. >> No, you don't. >> Yes, I do. You have a loud exhaust. >> Doesn't matter. >> And the plates don't come back on this vehicle. So you just go around everybody >> when I feel like it. Yeah. >> Why don't you give me your ID? >> Give me your ID. >> Why? >> Huh? >> Gotcha. >> Yeah. >> 919. Another car. Your ID. >> So why won't you give me your ID? I didn't hear your name. >> Valor. >> Valoran, that's your name? >> Okay. Is your driver's license through Wisconsin or Minnesota? >> I'm just curious. I kind of got to know so I know who you're who you are. >> 3143. >> Well, I need to know where your ID is out of so I can run it properly. >> I know. She's not coming back. I've been I've been doing this since before you were me and there's a police officer. >> Okay. Why? Causing issues. >> Yeah, cuz I'm causing >> Well, I don't know why you >> I don't know why you can't give me your ID. >> I told you my name, dude. Away from my truck. >> Gotcha. So, your first name is is what again? >> Ballard. >> Ballard. I'm just trying to understand. >> Do you understand now? Ballard. >> The officers approached by the book. clean stop, legit reason, stayed respectful and professional the whole time. But Valard, he came in hot. His attitude was aggressive right from the jump, and you could already feel things were about to go south fast. >> Unless they match up, right? >> You got any insurance on this or no? >> No, not for insurance. >> Yeah, I know. Not >> Well, you're in >> you're in Wisconsin. Yeah. >> Okay. So, you have to have insurance to operate on a public roadway. >> Okay. So, where are you living at these days? What's your business at the campground there? >> It is my business. >> Sure is. We've gotten eight different phone calls on you. [Music] >> Okay. I've >> never met you before in my life. >> That'd be fine. What was the deal then? Sure. >> You're on paper out of where? >> Wisconsin or somewhere else? >> Where? What state? >> I think it does matter. >> Do I have to? >> I don't think so. I don't think so. >> Yeah, I think I do. >> So, your license says you moved out of state. It says nothing about reinstated back to Indiana. I paid my license off. I have my license. True. And what I'm trying to tell you is it does not say you have a valid driver's license in Wisconsin because my system says you're not valid. >> Well, my system trumps your word. >> Everyone knows what you >> have nothing to do with your driving status. >> You're nobody. >> That's fine. >> So I can leave. >> No, you're not. When asked for license, registration, and proof of insurance, Valard gave vague answers, said he just bought the car, didn't have insurance, and wouldn't say where he actually lived. While he danced around the questions, the officers ran his info. That's when his secret came out. >> What's that for? You're not getting right now. >> No. So, >> you're still detained.
