We need for all the items. We went over there service pretty good return stop lady and they didn't even pay for the chips. What do you mean we didn't pay for the chips? I have my receipt right here. The G paid as well. >> Hands. DO NOT MOVE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? >> What is going on? >> Just hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. >> Sir, please. What's going on? Okay. >> These thefts don't start with thousands of dollars or some big time bank job. They start with a tiny little justification. The kind folks tell themselves to sleep better at night. >> SIR. UH-UH. GET OUT OF MY CAR. YOU DON'T HAVE A WARRANT. YOU DO NOT HAVE A WARRANT. >> OH MY GOD. CAN YOU DO SOME MORE investigating and just let me go home? I'm not a flight risk, please. And when that self-exuse machine runs smoothly, behavior keeps escalating until the legal system steps in and says, "That's enough." On March 26th, 2024, officers responded to a retail theft call at the Boon Beach Mall involving Foot Locker and Victoria's Secret. A woman was accused of grabbing merchandise and walking out without finishing the transaction. But the story didn't end there. So, what happened next? Hi. >> Do they still here or? No. >> Yeah. Well, I mean, she walked out that way, but God knows what store she probably like jumped into or she probably like ran out the mall or whatever. She seen me on the phone and when she seen me on the phone, she started like kind of like speed walking a little bit faster towards that way. I tried to call the finish line to see if they had seen like to come kind of like outside them too to see, but he was like I actually catch her on time. What was you remember what she was wearing? >> Yeah, she had a blue um pants like nurse scrub. >> Let's go back and see her though. >> Okay. >> And wait a minute. Um just watch her. >> Did she Did she come in here? Drop something. >> I'm not in the store. >> Believe it's called Traction. >> What's the name of the store? >> Attraction. I'm not >> 102. >> I just walked right here. >> I just walked in here. >> Yeah. Maybe this belongs to her. >> Tori's secrets. No. Um, >> these are not ours. >> No. She got heat somewhere and she's not >> and she you throw this stuff in >> as well. >> It's not us. >> No. Does she have that bag? >> Hey. Uh, >> she dropped >> detainer. Detainer right now. >> Appreciate it. Give me all this here. Give me all that. Put your hands on it. >> Why are you going to do nothing? >> But that's not You're >> It's not ours. >> You didn't see her do that. But But she came when she walked in, she came to this area. >> Yeah. I'm walking there. I'm taking my shirt. She came here. >> I got the sound because I thought that something fell down and I came here. When someone's dressed in medical scrubs, most folks instinctively trust them. That's the classic halo effect. A respectable uniform can make employees lower their guard at first, but appearances don't always line up with what's really going on underneath. >> What do we have? >> Uh, she's got stuff with security bands on it. >> Yeah, that bag's full of Victoria's Secret stuff. I mean, full full. >> Um, she dumped it in in here. I didn't see anything for Foot Lock right here. Uh, so she might still have it on. >> It's probably my mother's body. >> Your phone's in here. >> I'm call Can I call my sister and tell them that they they left me? They they seen you. Yeah. When they seen y'all, >> they left. >> They was down by Macy's. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. I I I'll get that. Do you think your your ID is in your wallet in there? >> Yeah. Mhm. >> Where you from? >> Copy. Lawrence liner. >> Where do you think it is? >> It's right over there. >> Alpha 951. >> Right there. >> Yeah. Under Pine. Can I >> We'll get a female officer over here and take care of you. We have a female totaling all this. It's going to be probably a retail felony, >> right? >> So, um, but we're not going to leave your family home. Right. >> I just want her to know in an ample enough of time, you know, so you just grab my cell phone. I can just tell her real quick. >> Yeah. Once she was allowed to speak with a family member, she pivoted the narrative, framing herself as a victim of circumstance, repeatedly bringing up her child looked like an attempt to build a moral shield, nudging officers to see her as a worried mom instead of a suspect being processed. Yeah. Yeah. She called me or whatever. I know you're not feeling good or whatever. Um I I caught a ride with Dedra them to the I ride with Dedra them to the mall or whatever at the at Boon Beach Mall. The police talking to you on the speaker phone or whatever. So I just wanted to keep or whatever for me cuz the girl in Fort Lera had called you on speaker phone. The girl in Fort Lera had called but I know Der them gone you know they when they see the police they ran so um they left me stuck out here so um you on speaker phone >> and um just um get my you know the girl I be with >> pull us down. >> Oh yeah, thank you. You know the girl that I be with or whatever. So, um, if you get a test or whatever, just go by and check on my baby. I was at the, um, boy Beach Mall. So, that's where they're going to take me from. I was at Fort Lock at Victoria Secret. Mama, you done told me. You done told me. Um, you don't speak a phone. Yeah, you on speaker phone. If I would have just went and did what I needed to do today or this week. DJ, >> you'll be able to talk to her again. >> Okay. DJ D had just left me. So, I just want you to know they got the um they they got all the keys, the car, and everything. So, they gone. You already know how that [ __ ] go. So, that's not Yeah, you going to have to get it from um I can't get on my phone. So, you're going to have to you going to have to call um you going to have to call uh see if uh call Damn, I would have to tell you call Big Cat Mike and see if he could um give you the number to uh Deer or whatever, but he said that I'll be able to make another phone call once I get down to the station. >> Yeah. As long as it's concerning your baby, getting getting it back to your mom. >> All right. >> Mom, I'll be done. You're [ __ ] kidding me. Just about to report it. >> Wow. We were just about to report it. She's right there. >> We were just about to report. >> Did you see her? Yep. She's got a mask. She got her. Could you just come out and take a look at her? See if the person that we're with >> truck >> Hey Doug, can you step aside? >> Doug, can you step aside? >> Yeah, bag. Y >> police coordinated with store management to inventory the recovered items. High-end lingerie and cosmetics were carefully documented. The selection and value didn't look random. It pointed toward intent, targeting items with strong resale or financial value. >> Itemized lists. Yes, we will. No, the panties. >> Oh my god. We were just looking through the drawer to see what >> Oh my god. >> 1400. >> Yeah, we noticed that she took back to look in the drawer. We saw that she's missing, but we didn't know that she took Beauty as well. >> She had a shopping bag also. >> Yeah, she was she was I went back there. She She got frazzled, but She had the bag and just belineed it after. >> She had a shopping bag also that she was putting stuff in >> in addition. >> So there was another one. >> I went back there and I wasn't leaving. I kept eye on >> she had a green bag. >> She dropped her shopping bag and just ran out. >> Okay. >> You saw her filling it up with >> No, I saw I walked back there. Her back was to me. I saw her bent over with her bag and she >> just kind of scrambled and quickly was like, "Oh, they don't have the socks." And after >> or you were suspecting her. Okay. All right. She probably had prior convictions which is uh >> report creates it to be a conviction of >> a felony charge. Got it. >> They're still uh tallying up over there. Yeah. >> Um, and move over to the bench. >> Okay, cool. Um, >> I'm going to give them the case number. >> Are you too? >> Are you going to run a criminal history? >> I did. >> Okay. >> She's going to have >> Did she forbation? Um, but there's >> Yeah. >> Oh, there's a thousand over there. >> Sorry. Supposed to be second. >> And then she'll get the enhancements for the other ones. >> Mhm. So, it'll be what, three felons. >> Despite being on probation, she allegedly continued shoplifting. That suggests a belief she could beat the system one more time. It's a common form of selfdeception, mistaking past close calls for proof you're untouchable. You already told her she's trespassing on the middle. >> So yeah, you are trespassed for a year. Meaning that from today to next year >> minute lobby. >> What do you got over there? That makes sense cuz all them surfaces was empty. >> Did she have a green bag with her? She had a dark green bag. This >> is not that one. >> No, it had words on it. >> I think it looks like >> Well, that's all we got so far. Maybe in the the other >> one had like a darker like kind of like a lighter kind of like >> like a plastic bag or shopping bag. >> Yeah, like a plastic kind of like that and it had words on it. Black words. >> Let me go check this place next door and I'll be back. If you could just tally that up. 20 uh 4194 >> 4914 4914 >> 49 >> 4914 >> 104 Thank you. >> Hi. >> We're just going to uh look around one more time. See if she dumped anything else. >> So, it's your first day. Yeah, that's where we found the first bag. >> All right. Uh, so just we just got to get the the total from Victoria Secret. So it's just two stores right now. >> Yeah. Um, >> I'll do the case from the other day. >> Second Street, 406 Street. No problem. >> In the end, she was transported to jail and faced charges of felony retail theft and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. With stacked charges and a prior record, this nurse could be looking at up to 10 years behind bars and fines reaching $10,000. And that's not even the whole picture, because behind that shopping bag was something more calculated than it first appeared. On December 26th, 2025, officers were called to a nail salon after reports of suspected credit card fraud. A customer attempted to purchase a $700 gift card using multiple card numbers, but each one kept getting declined. And here's what actually unfolded. >> You guys call? >> Hi, >> I'm doing all right. How about yourself? >> You got it. So, we had a client walk in. She a regular ran out of the park. >> Was that the lady that was standing up earlier? >> Hey, come here. Got one back to me right off. It's going to be towards the back of the back. Hey, come here. Put your hands down, sir. >> Listen to me right now. >> Listen to me. Put your hands right here. >> Let me see your hands. >> I will hit I will tase you. You don't put my hand. >> Please don't scare me, sir. >> All right. Relax your hands. Face face towards the back. >> Please don't scare me. >> All right. Come on. >> What is wrong with you? What are you doing, sir? Ma'am, >> you're scaring me. >> Let's go. I want to tell my mother. I got the hand. See the phone. See the phone. Ma'am, relax. Stop moving. Ma'am, stop moving. >> I don't want to slam you on the ground, ma'am. I need you to relax. You understand me? >> Stop moving. Stop resisting. Stop resisting. >> I have a medical issue. >> No, you do not. Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop moving your arm. >> Sir, >> stop moving your arm. My mom's looking for >> Can I come my mom, please? >> Relax me. >> She wasn't truly pushing back against the officers. She was resisting the reality closing in on her. When logic stopped working, she shifted gears, presenting vulnerability as a way to gain emotional leverage. It's often the last move when the mask starts to crack. Come on, mom. >> No. Stop. >> Is there any other >> any other person's involved? >> No, only her. >> Have her hang out right here. Take her will show up. >> Take her to the car. >> Make sure she has no >> ma'am. Relax. >> I'm just Make sure you have nothing on you. Relax. Relax. Stop. Stop. >> I don't have anything on my leg. >> Ma'am, I'm going to need you to relax. All right. Stand fast. Don't move. I need you to put your legs shoulder width apart for me, please. Shoulder width apart. >> I have no idea. >> What in the world is going on right now? >> Have a seat. >> What is going on? Just >> relax, man. Being detained. >> You're being detained right now. Question. When I told you to stop or when I told you to stop, you took flight. Okay. >> Yeah, but I'm scared cuz I'm literally You know why? >> Stop. >> Relax. >> Move your feet. >> Okay, sir. >> So, my question is you guys want to call? >> They call. >> They call, right? >> She said she has an appointment next door for her hair. >> So, soon as you guys came >> Mhm. I you know she should have walked in there and tell her she walk over here to let her know let you guys know that she's over there. >> Okay? >> You know but her mom or her family paid her transaction. >> Police continued gathering evidence, checking and cross- refferencing each card. As the details were laid out piece by piece, the bigger picture came into focus. It wasn't just about numbers. It was about a story being constructed, then steadily taken apart. All right. So, we got a call here for a fraud, obviously with the credit cards. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So, she randomly walked in. She wanted to buy $700 worth of services. >> Were the credit cards to her? >> How do you know it was not >> They're in her phone. They're all in her phone. She had like 17 different cards all in her phone and she >> mobile wallet. >> No. >> Or a picture. >> She wouldn't show me. >> Okay. >> Cuz I She's like, "You have to manually put them in." And I was like, "All right, well, show it to me and I'll put it in." She was like, "No, no, I'll I'll just do it. I'll do it." And she wouldn't let me see her phone >> or see if they were typed or if it's a picture of the card. So, I don't know. But it was all on her phone. >> Okay. >> And then they kept getting declined. It was like declined. Fraud. Decline. >> How do you know? Fraud. Fraud. Yeah. It kept saying fraud for a bunch of them. Two went through and then I had three clients call here and say, "Hey, Bank of America just sent me a message. Someone's trying to use my card at your business. It's not me. >> Okay. >> A woman walked in. She said she had her a chance and her mother with her and she wanted to pay for services. >> And how do you identify this woman? What was she wearing? >> Uh she was wearing a black t-shirt that said from me on it. Um and then she had short blonde fluffy wavy hair to her shoulders. >> Describe to me how she looked like in terms of is she black? She Hispanic. >> Uh she's Hispanic. And uh she was a little larger. >> Okay. All right. Keep going. >> I don't remember what pants she was wearing. I just remember the shirt that said Medaline. >> Understood. Describe to me what happened as you were saying earlier regarding to the transaction. >> Um so she wanted to purchase $700 worth of services. Okay. >> And so she told me to try to put it all on one card first. It was declined. It said suspected fraud. She gave me another card. It was declined. Suspected fraud. How do you figure it was suspected fraud? >> It showed up on my screen. It said it was declin declined suspected fraud. >> Right. >> So, um, two. So, then she was like, well, let me split two. I'll tried 100 on this card and 300 on a different card. Those ones went through. Um, and then she still owed another 300. So, we tried like seven more cards and all of them were declined and said suspected fraud. What stands out is that some transactions were initially accepted despite red flags. That raises fair questions about the business's verification process. In some cases, the rush to move customers through can mean cutting corners on proper checks, leaving the door wide open for fraud. >> Is there a way we could pull up those transaction that said it was clin? >> I looked. I don't know how to pull up like declined ones. >> You can probably get it through the credit card company. Maybe it's the history. >> No, cuz I went through the history. These are all ones that went through. >> What about the opens? >> Opens are just those are ones that went through, but those are ones just from today. >> Okay. Do you have the phone numbers for the individuals who called you? >> Which one did that? I think it was this one. >> Did you recall, ma'am? She You were like say 14 15 around there. >> How many cards did she use? >> Around 15. >> About 15. >> How many cards was the transaction on your on your guys' end? How many times did she use the cards? >> How many different cards? >> I manually put in so many >> guys. All different names. >> I didn't see the names there. She has the card numbers in her phone and she wouldn't let me look at it. So, she would she was typing the card in. >> Yeah. Were they Were they actually physical charge? >> No, they're all on her phone. >> On her phone. >> Everything's on her phone. >> Pictures of the card. >> I don't know if it was pictures of the card or if she had like the numbers typed in. She wouldn't let me look at it. 17. >> So, yeah, these are just >> I think you're I think it's going to be this last one that I just talked to right before I called you. >> A lot of scammers assume the victims won't notice right away or won't bother reporting it. That kind of overconfidence can backfire fast. When three card holders discovered the charges and called it in, everything shifted. What seemed like a smooth hustle suddenly became hard evidence. >> She came in here. She's using her car to scan. You're saying >> no. I had to manually type the cards in cuz she didn't have any physical cards. >> Any numbers? >> Yes. Cuz I said, "If you have all these in your wallet, you can just tap it. I don't have to manually put them in." And she's like, "No." And she's like this. And she's like, "Let me get this number." Okay. And then she was reading it to me. And then eventually she was just like, "I'll just type it in myself." And I was like, "Well, if you show me the card, I'll put it in." She was like, "No, no, no. It's it's fine." She wouldn't let me see what she was looking at. about 14 or 15 different numbers you typed in. >> Yes. >> Did she type in it any herself? >> Yes. >> And they all came up for suspect fraud. >> Yeah, except for these two. >> These two went through. So, and I don't know who these people are. >> So, I don't know if I should re refund it cuz it's probably not her cards. >> That's not hers. >> This is not hers. >> No, that's not hers. >> And those are hers. >> That's a different client. Yeah, these are the only two cards that did go through. All the other ones were declined for suspected fraud. >> How much did she $700? >> Uh, she tried to get 700. 400 went through. 300 >> 300 >> wouldn't go through. Well, I think she didn't get anything done. >> Oh, she tried to pay beforehand. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> She came in and was like she wanted to get stuff done, but I didn't have enough time. So, she's like, "I'll come in the morning." And I said, "Well, I have to take your payment then in the morning tomorrow." And she goes, "I'll just buy a $700 gift certificate now and I'll use it tomorrow." >> In the end, the woman was taken to jail and now faces felony credit card fraud and resisting an officer without violence. If convicted, she could be looking at fines up to $5,000 and as much as 3 years behind bars. What do you think about how the business handled the situation? Drop your thoughts in the comments below. And here's the twist no one saw coming. The next person in handcuffs once wore a badge. On May 3rd, 2025, an armed bank robbery sent shock waves through the entire area. What the suspect didn't see, however, was the hidden tracking device tucked inside the stolen cash. As the signal drew officers closer, every possible exit began to close in. >> Hands. heads. DO NOT MOVE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? CUT YOUR SIREN. Keep your hands out where I can see them. >> Hands out where I can see him. >> Get out of your car, please. >> With your left hand. >> Open the door from the outside. >> 26th Street. >> Open the door from the outside. >> Space. Step back here. Step back here. Turn around. Turn. Face away from me. Face away from me. Face away from me. Come back. Come back. >> Come back. Over here. Come back. Over here. Over here. >> What is going on? >> Just hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. >> Sir, please. What's going on? >> I got >> Sir, what? >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. >> What is going on? >> Quick. You got anything on you, ma'am? >> No. >> Stop. Stop turning around. I'm scared. What is going on? >> Stop. >> Stop turning around. Walk back this way. >> Can somebody please tell me in a minute? Relax. >> Oh my god. I'm so scared. >> Hop in. >> Oh my Jesus Christ. >> Just sit down. >> What's going on? >> Sit down for just a second. Give me just a minute. Okay. Right now you're detained. Okay. >> Oh my god. >> Roll down the window. What are you saying? >> What is going on? >> We're going to tell you in just a second. >> We're going to tell you in just a second. Okay, that's it. We're going to tell you in just a second. >> Relax. Stop kicking my car and relaxing. >> Okay, but you're making a lot of noise. I heard you from over there >> because I'm horrified. >> Okay, >> just let HER KNOW. >> SIR, PLEASE TALK TO ME. I DON'T WANT ANYBODY LOOKING IN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT a warrant cuz I don't know what's GOING ON. ARE Y'ALL LOOKING IN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT A WARRANT? Like a black hoodie right here. >> Looks like a black hoodie. >> Black hoodie right there. See the sleeve, >> SIR? UH-UH. GET OUT OF MY CAR. YOU DON'T HAVE A WARRANT. YOU DO NOT HAVE A WARRANT. >> THE SUSPECT was identified as a former deputy with 14 years on the force. Someone who once swore to protect the public, but allegedly used that same professional knowledge to carry out a bank robbery. Wearing a medical mask, carrying a fake gun, and passing a written threat, she made off with roughly $5,000. >> Just going quick because I I need to get to that funeral. I show you my bank account. I got money. I don't need to be robbing no bank. >> Okay. Well, y'all that figured out, okay? That's why we're here. That's why they're wanting to talk to you. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, we're going to put the cuffs in the front. This is crazy. >> Oh, put me on the live. I just want to talk as quick as possible. >> Okay. >> You have the right to remain silent. Okay. I overheard you say you were in law enforcement. So, I'm sure you probably read that >> once years and this is embarrassing. >> I got you. >> So, I'll tell you exactly how my day went. >> I came because I had to get some more stuff to go with my outfit for her hair or whatever. This guy, Ryan Herren, I've been knowing him since high school. Uh, he used to like me back in the day, but he sort of went down the wrong path. It's a white boy. >> Okay. >> So, he asked me to come by his house, uh, his dad's house. It's a brown house right there on 17th Street. And I stopped by there. And I'll be honest with you, they wanted to go get They do drugs. They wanted to go get something. I don't do drugs. >> Mhm. You told them out on the roadside that you didn't want to talk without a lawyer present. >> No, no, no. The reason I said that I know that I want to make >> No, I do want to talk. >> Okay. >> Um, the reason I said that is because I knew they didn't have any PC on me. >> I got you. >> And I wanted to just go ahead and go so I can make the funeral. >> Okay. >> But since I'm here anyways, I need to talk. >> Okay. So, just just so we're clear, you want to talk to me. You're not >> I I need to talk. Yeah. So Ryan Herren and who who else was with him? >> The girl I don't know cuz he he has drug issues and that's my friend. I've been trying to help him out. I was just like I got to go. >> Okay. >> I got to go cuz you know I got a funeral to go to my classmate. I'll catch up with y'all later. >> Okay. And where were you headed after that? >> Well I was going to go to that rainbow store over there in the uh plaza. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. to get some shoes to wear with my dress. >> Gotcha. >> And then I decided not to go there and I saw the cop behind me like I heard him say that I was trying to evade him. I wasn't trying to evade him. I turned in there because I was going to go there to get shoes and then I was like, "No, maybe I'll go check DW or something like that." >> When the situation started turning against her, she referenced family circumstances and personal faith. A funeral was offered as context for her urgency. Under pressure, many people lean on emotional narratives, hoping to soften the weight of what's unfolding. >> When did you do that? When did you when did you get out? >> Uh 2016. I was there from old 2003 till 2016. >> Good for you. What are you doing now? >> Well, now, okay. Um actually getting ready to start masseuse school. >> Nice. I'm supposed to go for my orientation on that on Monday, but I'm an influencer. I also do Walmart Spark and I do Uber Eats and all that kind of stuff. And when he's I don't know what kind of marker, but I do have markers in there because when I have my bins, I mark the the papers on the bins in case I have more than one order. >> Okay. Okay. >> But I don't know if it's my marker or if it's a different marker. >> I got you. Okay. Yes. from that money that was being stolen. There's a tracker. You're law enforcement. >> Well, it had to be tracking them. >> So, that tracker is going to show exactly from the moment that money hit that bag. It's going to tell me every second where it was when it stopped. >> Okay. >> Um there's video cameras. There's everything. >> I know. >> And in the bank, >> the female that put the note on the counter. >> Mhm. same nails. And you know what nail is missing on the hand without the glove? >> This nail has been missing because I do DUI or DYI stuff. >> I got you. But that's what I'm saying. Like it was you in the bank. >> No, it was not. >> It was you. >> It was not. >> Okay. >> Can I see the camera? >> I'm We're not going to get into all that. >> I was looking at these nails because I knew I had to fix these nails. >> I got you. So, you were the person I want to understand why. like >> it wasn't me. Can I see what you're talking about? >> I I'll see if I can pull it up and take a screenshot and show it to you. >> I will do that. But you have to make it make sense, okay? Because that tracker is going to show from the moment you left the bank. I have you on camera when you left the bank where you were going. I've already got those timestamps. I've already got the video. >> That's fine. What What bank was it? >> You know what bank? >> No, I'm asking you. What bank was it? close to that house. Obviously, >> yes, it was all, you know, what bank it was. >> You can wipe down a scene, but it's harder to erase physical reflexes. A broken fingernail became a key detail in the chain of evidence. And once the tracking device pinged, objective data spoke louder than any denial. >> I mean, it was brief. >> Okay, >> it was brief. >> And that tracker is going it's those trackers are very detailed. >> The tracker is going to show you that. >> Okay. Why did you >> Now, I don't know what they did on the way back there or where they went. >> I got you. Okay, let's not dig oursel further in. >> I'm not I You are not going to show I need to see this. >> I got you. I hear what you're saying. >> Yeah. >> But let's let's just go over the facts. Okay. >> There was a bank robbery today. >> Okay. >> Everything from that bank robbery was in your car. The person that did that bank robbery matches you to include your nails with the two same missing nails. >> Well, show me. >> And you're saying when they came back and you talked to him in the yard for a few minutes and then you left. >> Why would they go rob a bank? >> Maybe they got freaked out. I don't know. >> No, it's not true. >> You're not going to show me a picture of me in that bank. >> So, when you were stopped today, were you the only person in your car? >> Stop. Yeah. When y'all stopped me? But when you left that bank, >> Mhm. >> that tracker tells us when you're walking, what speed you're going, when you're going. You never stopped. Your car never stopped from the moment you left that bank. Only times it pauses is the stop light, the stoplight, and then shows you. >> It must have been a glitch. >> It's not a glitch. >> It must have been a glitch. >> That report is going to be in your file. According to reports, she later entered a guilty plea in federal court and now faces a potential sentence of up to 5 years in prison. It doesn't always take a bank or a weapon to trigger chaos. Sometimes one reckless decision is enough to set everything in motion. On April 15th, 2023 in Wisconsin, Fondelac County deputies responded after homeowners reported discovering an uninvited guest casually preparing sausage inside their private studio. And here's what actually unfolded. >> Ma'am, how are you doing? >> Hey, Sergeant Wilson Sheriff's Office. How are you doing? >> Hi. I mean no harm. >> All right. The woman appeared to believe that looking for a safe place justified entering someone else's property, but visible emotional instability and signs suggesting possible substance influence made the situation unpredictable, forcing officers to step in to secure the scene. >> Hey, can you just put your hands on your back, please? >> Really? >> Yep. Yep. >> Why? >> Stop. Stop. >> Hey, stop, Christine. Stop. >> What are you doing? I'm not doing anything wrong. >> Okay. You're being detained right now. Okay. But by then, the issue wasn't about freedom anymore. It was about an ego struggling to handle being in a weaker position. >> Please just walk. >> Oh, I can't. I JUST PISSED. >> CAN YOU PLEASE walk this way for us? >> Please walk. You can see them from here. >> Can we please walk? >> NO. >> PLEASE. >> I CAN'T. >> YES. Although she initially faced multiple charges from trespassing to resisting an officer, most were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. In the end, she paid a $443 fine for THC possession. So, what began as a brief lapse in judgment quickly spiraled into thousands of dollars in damage and a criminal record that didn't need to happen. On December 3rd, 2024, officers responded to an active shoplifting call at a Target store. At first, it was the usual explanations, but once the facts were verified, the story started to crack. When personal excuses collide with store policy and the law, what really gets exposed? >> We're going to have you come over here, too. >> We'll talk about that, but we're explaining to you right now. You're both being detained. Okay. You're not free to leave. We're going to have to get your information, figure out what's taken cuz the business told us that. So, >> no. That's bullit. I don't know what you expect me to do. >> That's what they've told us. >> What do you mean told you? We just literally just paid you. >> I got you, but not for all the items. >> What do you mean not for all the items? You went over there to customer service. So freaking good in return. >> Stop lying, lady. 50 bars. And they didn't pay for the chips. What do >> you mean? We didn't pay for the chips. I have my receipt right here. That's paid as well. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, she did. >> Nice try. >> Well, you want to go over there? Literally. >> I did. I did. I just >> She insisted everything had been paid for, saying it with total confidence. Yet moments later, she walked away without taking a single item. That contradiction alone made it hard to believe the story was being told straight. >> Hey, I think you got confused about where you're free to go. Okay, you're not free to leave. Turn off your arrest. >> For what? >> Shoplifting. Oh, [ __ ] leave out the door and we pay for it. >> Okay. All right. Let's go. Just going to wait here. >> And give me one second. I'm going to double lock this so they don't tighten on you. Okay. Yeah. >> Is this your receipt? Well, like three things. >> What's this receipt? >> What's this receipt? [ __ ] one. >> Which one? >> He said this one, right? >> Yeah. This one was good. We didn't see anything with that one. Okay. >> What's your first name? Right. What's your last though? Have you ever had one? Don't forget about this one. >> That's not mine. It's not yours. The vlog's a target. >> Once detained, her frustration became obvious. She denied any connection to the evidence. Even as her explanation shifted under high stress, the brain often defaults to denial before accountability. It's a reflex, not a strategy. slow today, aren't they? >> No, that's literally not mine. >> Yeah, I know. It's Target as long as theirs was in her bag. >> That wasn't in my >> That was her bag. >> That was in her bag. >> It was in her bag. >> Honey. >> All right, ladies. >> Going to take a couple pictures of you. It's just for target purposes. Okay. Why did you guys come in today? Just needed stuff. Personal use. You selling it? Feed >> the kids. Feed >> the kids. >> Cuz I have no cash. And I was trying to get a job as well. So I was going to be the next step after we got done here. She attempted to reframe the theft of high-end cosmetics as something driven by circumstances. But calling illegal resale a job signals rationalization, not survival. That's self-justification at work. Reshaping wrongdoing into something that feels acceptable. >> Where you sell it? >> You sell the stuff you get. Where you sell it at? >> Just whoever wants to buy it usually. >> How do you advertise it? How do you let them know you got stuff to sell? just go around and ask anyone that wants to buy anything >> just on the streets or is like their house or something you go to >> the streets the streets and yeah whoever basically wants items I guess >> you guys definitely know what you wanted that cosmetic [ __ ] >> all right so both of you guys are just going to be under arrest felony shoplifting Um, you have a felony warrant that we're confirming right now. Okay. >> I'm going to have you stand up. >> What's your last name? >> We'll get your stuff here in a second. Neither showed remorse for stealing, only disappointment that the plan fell apart. That reaction says a lot. The issue wasn't the wrongdoing. It was the failure. It reflects a value system that prioritizes gain over responsibility. What's up, guys? >> We're going to walk to the second car there. Do you have any needles or anything that's going to poke me? No. Any knives? Just no needles. So that's that's my main concern. >> Okay. >> Can't do it. What the f? >> Like even if I don't sit there and set foot on the property. And I can't lose anything. And I'm not trying to be bad. I'm not trying to be bad. Got you. >> And I'm like literally taking care of someone right now. And that's how like I get a little bit of my money instead of sitting there sleeping around or anything like that. Please drop your stuff off. Robert sit there and it won't take you. >> There's nothing I can do. >> There's no way we can ride. >> Just take a seat right there. Some help. >> In the end, both were transported to jail and now face felony retail theft, drug possession, and conspiracy charges. If convicted, she could face up to 24 months behind bars, $3,000 in fines, and 2 years of probation. After $1,000 slide downhill, what followed was an even bigger loss of control and a fallout far worse than the original theft. On May 19th, 2023, in Florida, a routine Walmart shopping trip suddenly escalated into a tense confrontation. A woman was caught taking merchandise while accompanied by her young son. But what stood out wasn't just the alleged theft. It was how she reacted once confronted. >> Man, if you grab me that hard. >> I'm telling you, you will walk with me. >> You will. I will. >> You want to play this game? Let's go. >> I'll drag you out to the car if you want to play that way. >> Are you walk on your own two feet? >> You're a joke of police officer. >> This side. >> You're going to have a real lawsuit on your hand. >> Perfect. Let go of my arm before I seriously need a ball. >> You want to threaten me now? >> No. >> You want to catch another charge? >> My arm. >> You want to catch another charge? >> Why don't you let go? >> Get in the car. >> Whoa. >> Get in the car before I throw you in the car. >> I really hope someone's recording this because you are >> It's all on recording. Get in the car. >> Ridiculous. >> Get in the car. >> You are such a piece of [ __ ] >> Get in the car. >> Oh my god. You piece of [ __ ] >> What the heck you doing? I just haven't searched her because of the female thing and so I just don't want to leave her too long without that. That was long tighter. >> Yeah. >> Sir, have a lawsuit on your hand. >> Get out of here. >> You're out of here. No, you're out of here. >> You just smashed my fingers. Get off of me. Get the off of me. You smashed my fingers in the door and I will kill you so hard. Instead of showing remorse, Karen responded with visible arrogance when her comfort was interrupted. Rather than addressing the accusation, she pivoted to criticizing police procedures, an attempt to gain temporary psychological ground. >> Are you going to keep going? >> Jesus, man. >> She also tried to keep us. >> No, I did not. >> Yes, she did. >> Look at my fingers. You're being cute. I'm not joking. >> What's so complicated about this? >> Oh, you know what's so complicated about it? You smashed my fingers in the goddamn door. All right, there's a battery charge. >> You better let me out. >> No, you're going to jail. >> What? >> You're going to jail? >> Going to jail for what? >> Battery on me now. Stealing from Walmart. Do I got to keep going? >> What? >> I'm going to keep going if you keep acting like this. >> It's absolutely ridiculous. Rather than face the shoplifting claim directly, she reframed the situation as unfair treatment. That exaggerated response suggests a pattern of avoiding accountability paired with impulsive emotion when backed into a corner. >> Hey, come on out. Take the step out. I'm not again. >> Okay. Take the car over this foot a little bit more. >> Intel 11. >> Go ahead for one. >> Are you still trying to get a hold of a guardian for a child? >> That is correct. All right, step four. I'll do the resisting and I got to see if she resisted the merchant as well. I might tack that one on there. They got her in there. So, I think she was just mouthing off, but she did go alone. So, I don't. >> While she shouted and lashed out, officers were on the phone with family members to make sure the child wouldn't be left alone. That contrast says more than words ever could. Not everyone who speaks the loudest cares the most. >> Sounds good now. >> Yeah. >> Perfect. Thank you. All right, we're going to get going up to the jail. >> One over 13. One over 11. >> Got it. >> 14. We just found a lot more merchandise stuff into the car seat. So, your price is going to go up. Stand by. >> Hold on. She's threatening all sorts of things. After repeated verbal commands failed, officers tightened control measures to prevent the situation from escalating further. Securing her hands and legs wasn't about punishment. It was about keeping everyone safe as tensions peaked. >> Yeah, she kicked me in the wrist. >> We're trying to get her back in the car. So, >> you ready? >> Step out. >> Great. Thanks. Come on, turn around. >> That's a little too aggressive, sir. >> No, he is being aggressive. >> I get it. Is a sentence like that enough to break through an ego that refuses to bend? The lesson may have been heavy, but Stubborn Pride still refused to let go. On October 21st, 2023, officers responded to a reported theft at Walmart. According to the report, several items weren't scanned and barcodes had allegedly been switched to alter prices. When confronted, the line between mistake and intent was put to the test. So, where does the truth really land? Hey, >> ma'am. Don't do that. >> She told me to act so bad. >> Who did? >> She did. >> We're having a conversation trying to figure out what happened. Okay. >> Don't stand over there. ask. >> Okay. So, the girl stood by me the whole time when I was talking to the My bad. When I was talking to the um manager who was just at the door, she was telling me, she said, "I saw the girl sitting there talking to you and rambling the whole time." So, that could have been the reason why you sat there and did that. But I told her, I said, "I don't want her to have anything happened to her as well, cuz she saw her use her discount card." >> So, it started from there. She was like, "It's a couple of steaks in there that's not paid for in your salmon." So, I did. They pulled this stuff out and she saw the stakes is all like all in my buggy. The stakes is paid for in that buggy. >> So then they said the salmon wasn't paid for. The assignment wasn't. One of them was and one wasn't. So she was like, "Okay, so it is not looking like you sat and stole all the stuff, but you just did have some things in the buggy that was not scanned correctly." So that's what I told her. She said, "Okay, from there we going to take this stuff out this buggy and you could go on about your day." And that's where we was at. So, I was helping him take the stuff out the buggy that was mis um that was miscanned and then the other stuff he kept. >> And you you're saying they weren't scanned because you were busy talking to your friend. >> I in so many words. If you want to sum it up basically, she was sitting right there and I'm she just was saying that she said you >> well, you know, there's cameras that are right above you that look down on >> right and that's what I'm saying. If you look on the camera, you see me talking talking. I'm just rambling, laughing with a keying and stuff. So when he came up, I ain't give him no issues. I did not. That why I say when he when he came up, he was like, "You going to have some of your stuff scanned." I said, "Okay." I'm like, "Okay, well, we going we can run through the buggies." You know what I'm saying? I'm not trying to run out the store. No, let's go through the buggies and see what's not scanned. But he scanned all like I said, all the all the other stuff. >> She had a worker helping her. >> No, she wasn't. That's what I'm saying. See, I don't want you to do that cuz she was not helping me. It wasn't help. It was just her. Honestly, if you look on the camera, the girl >> I see the I see the girl. I see the girl. She talked at length, layering detail upon detail to reinforce her version of events. But the longer the story stretched, the more gaps appeared. The truth doesn't need heavy decoration. And when a narrative gets too complicated, it often starts unraveling on its own. >> That's a justice suit. >> Huh? >> The UPC that was on there was $4.98. The justice is like $10 and better. That's the reason why it was in the blood. We took it back up there and had offer UPC. >> But what that explain that what that mean? >> It means it's not the correct price on there >> on both of them. That's what I'm saying. How could you >> say the other reason why we called the police? Cuz you remember we kept asking you for ID. You say you you didn't feel comfortable getting your ID. You kept >> because that cuz that's what I know. I wanted you to explain to me. I asked you just to explain. I said, "What we doing the ID for?" She said, "I'm going to give you uh it was for the banning." I said, "Okay." And like I want her to come back cuz that's what I was while you was doing that. I said, "Well, she told me to give you my name." She was like, "It's okay if I give you the name." Cuz I was looking. She told me to go on my phone and look for a picture. I want her to come back in here if I >> Okay. So, so right now the police are here and we're investigating a shoplifting. Okay. Shoplifting is a criminal offense. Okay. So, this is a criminal investigation. >> We need your identification. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> We we let you talk. We let you explain your story. >> Yes, sir. Yes. >> And it's been a few minutes now and now we're asking for your ID. >> Yes, sir. >> Sir, so you really trying to send me to jail and I we we just sat and talked about it like I don't I'm not understanding. >> Listen, I have a job to do just like they got a job to do. Like you have a job to do. My job is to prevent the store. I don't have no workplace. It's nothing personal. It's just a job. >> I get that. But no, what I'm saying is if we you just told me it was okay to give you my name and stuff. That's why it was to that point. >> Okay. I'mma figure why I don't trust people. I had a young lady yesterday did the same thing. She gave me somebody else information. So I don't trust nobody when they said that. >> See why you That's why I'm saying if you would have said that it's communication though. I would have definitely told you. >> Listen though. If you asking for it, this is all >> What are we looking at here? I do when I told her that she wanted to give her just my name, just my name. >> Explain it to her. >> She seemed to believe that paying for half the card would somehow make the rest quietly disappear. But systems don't run on feelings. Scan data and surveillance footage track every movement. There's no room for clever guesswork. >> All that stuff. I don't say all that stuff in that movie. There's no way that y'all thought that I honestly sat there and did that. I got food stamps. I paid for stuff from those things. >> So the the tag was manipulated on >> Yes. On the first one. >> Yes. >> Where are those items >> up there? Custom service. >> And that's what I'm saying. Which on there? I just >> Has she scanned them yet on the video? >> It's two of shirt. >> She This one that pink one. >> Yes. >> Both of the pants and the shirt came together. Like you you get them together. So I just took them just like that. I brought the extra the plus size one and the plus size top. They both have the same tag on them. So, of course, to me, that's going I'm going to go with it. I'm just I put the clothes on. Like, you see me at the uh thing. I tried the clothes on, see if I I could fit them. Put the jacket on. Like, I just did like a quick jacket thing. And then they have a you know, dressing room. Checked out the clothes. Even before then, you will see it was never it was the same way. We matter of fact, I didn't go in the dressing room for the pants. I checked the shirt out right there. Did the pants right then. >> She scanned the first four and then right here, she scanned the next four. That's what she's talking about. >> Mr. Eerson, what you see? >> I'm still watching. >> What are you What you coming up to with >> Not sure yet, honestly. >> Yeah, exactly. I'm saying if it didn't give you a If it ain't off the busy showing you me trying to like I'm telling you, you see that camera? The girl sitting there talking talking from the time I got up there to the time I walked off. >> So on here, this velvet hoodie that wasn't scanned. >> So it was scanned. It was just So, what on here? Wasn't >> everything that's on there that wasn't paid for, that went on the original receipt. >> Selfch checkout cameras don't just record barcodes. They capture hand movements and actual item handling. When a repeated pattern of missed scans shows up, transaction logs and video evidence can become critical in court. >> Me and Title have this exact same thing the other day and it was clear as day like the last. >> Yeah, but like Yes. But like on the camera you couldn't like >> everything in that cart that you'd see like got saved. But >> yeah, I guess that's what that was. >> Mhm. But then like some of the items were like the ones that were like I guess manipulated tags and so like the hoodie I guess had a different tag and so they weren't the same price. So they're reporting that they the stopper and check her bag or buggy and items weren't paid for. >> Yes. >> So she skipped the self check. >> Yes. >> All right. Miss, can you stand up for me? >> Sir. >> Yes, ma'am. Can you stand up? >> Okay. >> No big deal. Let's not make it any worse than it is. >> Listen, can I just Okay. What made you come to the decision? >> Uh the camera footage and what was found in your car. Unpaid for. So >> Okay. That's just No, I mean just a big deal. All right. >> Yeah, I got you. I got you. Can I give my purse to my boyfriend? >> We will. We will do that. >> Have a daughter's appointment in the morning and she needs to >> We will do that. >> So that's fine. Okay. I got you. So don't you got I got you. >> I got you. Can I >> not at this point? It's nothing we can do, y'all. My baby is artistic. Like it's really nothing we can do, y'all. Please. >> You'll be in and out. I just got to go get you processed. >> It's going to be all the way Monday. >> No, it's not you. >> It's a misdemeanor. >> You got a bond. >> So, well, in the morning, if anybody could get to the jail by the time you get processed, have your people ready across the street and go to put my head back. >> Oh my god, I'm going to be on the site. >> Honey, honey. >> In the end, the woman was arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft. She was processed at the county jail with a $1,000 bond set for release pending trial. When stubborn denial can't save the situation, what often surfaces next isn't confusion. It's plain old greed exposed under pressure. On April 9th, 2025, an emergency call brought officers to a Target store while a selfch checkckout transaction was still in progress. Merchandise had been concealed inside a baby stroller and certain barcodes were conveniently missed. But as the evidence surfaced, the explanations began to wobble. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. >> We're going to contact somebody over here. >> Stop. Put your hands up. Your hands up. >> Look at me. >> Hands away from me. Keep them up. Keep them up. >> Not a baby. Correct. >> No. >> We just want to make sure there's no child, no children involved. >> Okay. Last incidents we had with you guys, you guys had a weapon. Where's it at? >> I don't have a weapon. >> I never had an incident with you guys. >> Not with us. If there's an incident, we know who you guys are. >> I'm going to talk to you in just a second. Okay. Right now, Target's going to retrieve their property. I'm going to place over here, then I'll talk to you. >> Okay. >> Put over here. >> Appreciate. >> We appreciate that. >> Everywhere you go, there's cameras, right? Yeah. They can see exactly what you're doing. Not only that, but they recognize you that you're this is not your first time. >> Okay. >> Right. You can wear your sunglasses, your mask. That makes you stand out even more. >> I don't have teeth. That's why I had to wear a mask. >> You don't have what? >> Teeth. >> Teeth? >> Yeah. I just got them removed. So, >> okay. Well, regardless of the reason. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Uh, and here you are. And now we're here. Can you tell me what happened in there? >> We were being done. >> Okay. What do you mean by that? Taking stuff. >> Taking stuff. Now that stuff that you were taking, what do you do with it? >> Uh, use it. >> Use it? >> Yeah. >> How? >> For my kids, my house. >> Okay. I'm just asking a lot of people come boost stuff and they go sell. >> She seemed to understand that losing her temper would only make things worse. So, she softened her tone. Instead of arguing, she framed everything as being for her child. Just like that, the narrative shifted from theft to hardship. What's your sister's name? >> April. >> April. Yep. 1994. Mhm. The reason I know that is because again, you've been shoplifterss, repeat shoplifterss. This is not the only time they recognize you and they've had incidents with you. Now, I want to ask you about another incident. I you probably saw yourself on TV or something. March 19, a few months ago at the Dollar General, you're wearing exactly the same glasses. You're wearing exactly the COVID mask coverings or whatever. Nowadays, people use it only to cover their faces, to cover their criminal activity. What happened? You got shoplifted from that Dollar General. The the I spoke to the manager. I saw a video. >> Um I don't even remember. >> You don't remember? Cuz the employees definitely remember what you did >> and what you told them. >> What did I say? >> Okay. You don't remember pulling a gun on on them? >> No. >> Okay. Yeah. You're not going to remember. Or was that your sister? Cuz you guys getting the same charge. You're going to get charged with the same crime even though she didn't pull the gun. She's getting charged with the same crime. Unless she's the one that did it and you didn't. >> I don't I don't think we pulled a gun on anybody ever. I don't I remember we got she my sister did take some chips. >> Yeah. And actually that's that's exactly what they told me. >> Yeah. And then she uh yelled at the lady behind the counter. She went behind the counter and uh some guy came out running after us and calling us saying he's going to us up. And >> so you didn't tell me that and that's why I want to document your side of the story. You know what I'm saying? So she takes chips behind the counter. >> Yeah. cuz we went >> guy comes out which is the employee. >> Yeah, >> we tried to pay for them and then she grabbed them from us and she was like, "Nope, you guys got to get out of here." >> Admitting only to taking a few bags of chips while records pointed to a far more serious armed robbery case is a classic minimization tactic. In New Mexico, repeat offenses can elevate lesser charges into felonies, especially when prior history is involved. >> But no gun was pulled because we don't have fire. Okay. Did you tell him this is not worth your life? >> No. >> Okay. >> No, but I said that he I said he's a cuz why is he yelling at some girls? >> Something happened that he just backed up now. Why is that? >> Cuz I told him that I would have my boyfriend up. I told him it was ships. Like it's just stupid. >> And he was like, "You're right. You're right." Like, >> okay. again, I already knew your name, but you know, we these guys know who you are. Maybe not by name, but they you definitely remember you doing this stuff, >> and that's exactly why they call us. >> And once we come out here and we see you, we're like, "Oh, I know where this person I've seen this person before. You and your sister." >> Okay. First of all, I just want to apologize. >> Apologize for this for doing this. I mean, this >> Okay. And that's what I I was going to say. Anywhere you go is what? There's cameras, right? >> Yeah. >> Anywhere. >> Yeah. >> Anywhere you go, there's cameras. >> Yeah. >> All right. So, when they Not only that, >> you a lot of people shoplift every day. Then they get away with it. They come back and like, "Hey, we know this person. We know these girls. Hey, please. These girls are here again and they're repeat shoplifters, >> right?" >> Okay. So, and now here we are. Can you tell me what happened in there? >> Uh, okay. So, we went in. Our intentions were to go in and get some Pampers for her kids and um some other stuff. And I wanted to pay for it. I can't afford it. I mean, I thought my other check was going to come in sooner. It didn't. And so we decided to put it in her uh stroller. >> Mhm. So couldn't afford it. Decided just put it in the stroller. >> Yeah. I mean, like I was telling Mr. Garcia, I hear that I mean, we've tried asking for help and resources and nobody wants to help us. >> Yeah. Well, you know, to that uh everybody's had hard times. I've had them, but and I just don't see the the justification of doing not only that, but over and over. >> I know. I I agree. I know it's pathetic and it's it's stupid and >> I definitely will be the last time I'll ever do this. >> The remorse expressed at that moment appeared tied more to being caught than to genuine reflection. This is the last time is a familiar line in repeat offender files. A promise often spoken under pressure, rarely backed by real change. >> All the other stores once we put your name out there, your photo out there, they're like, "Yeah, she hit us over here. Yeah, she hit us over here." Uh, you know, the they're not new. This is 2 years old. Uh, the shoplifting statues once you reach a certain amount, that's organized retail crime. That's a seconddegree felony. >> Wow. If you still have misdemeanor in Farmington, misdemeanor in Las Cruises, we can combine those into a felony >> cuz it's New Mexico. Correct. >> So again, there's video everywhere. Right. >> Right. >> Now, here's a question. >> Cuz this is not your first time, right? >> I agree. >> A few months ago, March 19th, Dollar General, >> what happened that day? >> Oh, see that was a whole different situation right there. We went we went to pay for >> That's a whole different serious crime that's being investigated, >> right? and she uh she acted crazy. She didn't want to let me pay for the trips. I put money down and she took my money but didn't let me keep my chips. So, I went to grab my chips. >> You put down money? >> Yeah. >> You see that information? I didn't have. So, that's why I'm trying to get the >> Oh, yeah. See, cuz I went in there to buy all those chips cuz those are my favorite trips. And we didn't go in there. We didn't try to steal anything. And we didn't go in there. >> You didn't conceal anything inside your purse. >> No, I didn't. I didn't conceal anything inside my purse. I swear on my kids. >> Videos. >> Videos. I know. I promise you. >> There's videos. So when you say that it's >> Yeah. No, I bought I grabbed all the chips and I took them to the counter. >> Did your sister conceal it inside the purse? Who was it? >> Cuz what the weapon was my sister. >> The weapon? >> Yeah. >> And that's Well, I was starting from forward backwards, right? >> So once once you guys go outside, what happened? >> So we go out there and the guy comes out, he's like, "You guys are worthless." >> See, I spoke to him and he didn't he didn't tell me he spoke to you that way. >> Yeah. Oh yeah. I'm like, "I hope there's audio because you guys get pulled that and listen to it cuz he definitely did say that. When the consequences became undeniable, he shifted direction. The gun was no longer his. It belonged to his sister. In that instant, the line between protecting family and protecting oneself grew thin, and loyalty began to crack. >> I'm going to keep my chips. I was like, blank period. I honestly didn't know she was going to blow her weapon. I didn't. >> Okay. Well, gun being pulled when uh during a shoplifting, that's aggravated shoplifting. That's third degree felony. >> He took my money or she took my money, not him. She did. Uh-huh. >> He came from the back cuz he just heard the commotion. >> I honestly I didn't know she was going to pull the weapon. I didn't know. >> Okay. >> Oh, you like going to my kids? >> Yeah. >> Uh >> I didn't pull out the guy. >> Okay. Well, if you're if it wasn't you, then who was it? >> It was my sister. Mhm. >> Oh my god. I'm freaking the I can't breathe. relax. I don't know what they're going to do, but you know, there's been bond reform, so they've been releasing people. Once you get booked, I I'm not promising you anything. >> I'm going to go speak to my supervisor. I'll be right back. >> They're also repeat subjects for us. They observe empty with no merchandise. They made various selections, cosmetics, infants, grocery, toys. Um they observe concealing the items into the stroller. Um they then made their way to the front of the store. In the end, both individuals were charged with felony retail theft, burglary, and conspiracy. Thousands of dollars in merchandise were recovered. But lost integrity doesn't come back so easily. The biggest mistake these so-called Karens made wasn't stealing a carton of milk. It was believing hardship gave them a pass above the law. The theft is never just about what's taken. It's about the choices behind it. When excuses replace accountability, consequences follow fast.
