and you're taking care of your daughter. There wasn't found in here. >> Her slapping on him and then slapping herself. That's what I saw. >> From handcuffs on her front porch to hospital rooms and neighborhood streets, this mother repeatedly chose her emotions over her children's safety. >> I have beautiful [ __ ] >> Please leave me alone. >> You've got OFF OF ME. SO JUST RIGHT NOW I NEED YOU TO RECOGNIZE ME. >> And in the end, one question remains. Who truly failed these children from the very start? On April 10th, 2025, police were called out to step into a troubling family situation. A woman, clearly drunk, was accused of picking a fight with relatives. With two kids safety on the line, every choice in that moment carried real consequences. What's going on? >> All right, so my girlfriend got drunk. Her daughter's supposed to be having a kid today. Okay. >> Well, she got drunk. Who is this? This is her aunt. I called her to come get the kids because she was attacking me. Okay. >> Her mom come over to get her so she go to the hospital. Well, she was drunk, passed out. She wouldn't wake up. >> Well, around 9ish or so, 9:30, maybe a little later, she ended up waking up. Started blaming me. It's your fault I didn't go get to see my daughter. Blah blah blah. Started attacking me. attacked her son. I have video like she needs to go. She's got to go. She put her hands she beat the [ __ ] out of me in front of her hand herself doing like this. >> Hitting herself saying that she's going to say that I hit her and attacked her and all this [ __ ] >> And she's saying, "Oh, you hit me first." Well, you know, she told him a long time ago that he she's going to sit there and hit herself so that um and of course this is what he's telling me. Of course, I didn't I wasn't here at that point that she's going to hit herself so that he'll end up going to jail. But do you know that she's in there hitting herself now? >> She walked out right in front of >> She walked out in front of us and she doing like this slapping herself was like, "Oh, you going to jail? You >> hit me on my face." It's October. I go to work. I come home and I deal with her being drunk. >> I've been trying to avoid it, you know, cuz she got kids. But how many times do I got to get hit? >> She has a case open on her right now for being with the kids. from that video >> and hitting me like they told CPS they went to the kids at school told CPS they hit they hit him and hit me. >> Y'all are in a relationship? >> Yeah, I've been living here since we've been together for uh almost 3 years now. I've been living here with her since the end of September. >> I got work first thing in the morning like >> and if I take him and I I leave with him, she'll destroy everything. >> She'll destroy the house. I don't know if you can tell, but I've watched her get him. >> Yeah, she really does like cuz I don't want to press. I don't I don't want to say good, but she needs help. >> Well, the only thing was that >> I know it's domestic. I know. >> I know. Trust me, I know. >> That's why that's the whole reason I had her in over here cuz I knew if I didn't have no witnesses like like I said, I got videos and stuff, but it would have been her word against mine. All right. >> Can you let me in so I can talk to her? I could try. >> I have a key if you have to. Okay. >> Tell me her name again. Carrie Carrie. >> She'd openly said she would hurt herself just to get her boyfriend in trouble after an argument. With someone who thrives on manipulation, it's not about what actually happened. It's about what other people believe. The second police show up, she tries to use the kids as an emotional shield. >> Carrie, sheriff's office, open the door. >> My driver. >> Hey, what's going on? Um, well, it started with him. So, I tried to kick him out and scratch him. >> I tried to kick him out and he said, "I'm calling the cops." >> So, basically, that's what happened. >> So, you're saying that he hit you? >> He hit me right here and scratched me. >> So, I told him he needed to go and I I I shut the door and locked it and he's like, "I'm calling the cops." I said, "We'll call the cops." So, you didn't hit him at all? >> He's like four times bigger than I am. >> Well, here's the thing. Um, your aunt is saying you were the one hitting him and then let me let me let me talk. Let me talk. She's saying that she was cuz she came to get the kids and she saw you and then you went back inside and made a statement that you were going to hit yourself and so that way we would believe you that he was putting his hands on you. Cuz I'll tell you right now, the consistency of those marks on your chest appears if you did that. >> No, it's it's it's a punch that got me. >> Are you sure about that? >> I'm I'm completely positive. It's not the first time ever. >> Cuz like I said, your aunt who's right there going came get the kids said that you were the one hitting him. >> Saying that you were the one hitting him. >> Can I ask? >> So that's your girlfriend? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> And you're and you're his mom? >> No, I'm her. You're you're her aunt. Got it. >> I came to get the kids who were in the car for >> Gotcha. >> Now, one of the kids said she herself or something. >> Called other kids. >> Seven. I don't know what to say. She She favors uh There's nothing I can say that's going to make it any different. She favors him, but regardless, there's nothing I can say. >> So, I don't think that she would just be making that story up. >> I'm not making a story up. You >> No, no, I'm saying her. I'm not I don't know why she would just >> Well, she got here after. What am I supposed to do? Like just let him hit. >> Well, what I'm saying is she said she was here when this happened. >> No, she showed up afterwards when I asked her to come get the kids. >> So, why would she tell me that she was here and seen this? And listen and >> tell her come here and >> she didn't get here till afterwards when I asked her to come get the kids. >> Yeah. >> Hey, Caleb. In her mind, the title Grandma meant she could be drunk, aggressive, and still dodge accountability. The marks on her chest looked more like self-inflicted scratches than an assault. When the aunt called out the self harm, the woman immediately switched gears, attacking the aunt personally and trying to paint the witness as unreliable. >> You didn't get here until after things happened. When I started fighting back, that's a little different. >> Carrie, all I know, and this is all I know, cuz Noah was not here. >> Exactly. I was here >> listening to you hollering and screaming >> cuz he hit me in the freaking face. >> Brantley says you hit him. >> I didn't hit Brantley. >> That's Ask him. Well, you can't go ask them cuz they're down the road. >> Well, not only that, Kevin's been trying to >> How old are the kids? >> Seven. Okay. >> Are you serious? >> No, I have an open case already for Brantley telling the teachers that you hit him. >> And you're sitting there right in front of me hitting yourself like going crazy, slapping yourself. And then you attack him. And this is what you when your kids are in there, then they're going to have seen all this too. Now it's the case. >> That didn't happen till after you took the kids. >> And no, he punched me. And I'm sick of everybody taking this. >> You who is passed out drunk. I told you if you'd stay straight, Carrie, everybody would believe you. But as long as you're drinking, okay, nobody's going to be able to take on him and then slapping her. That's what I saw. You slapping Kevin. >> Well, he punched me in the face. >> Not while I was here. He didn't. He was here trying to get the kids >> you in the face where >> my hand. >> She was slapping herself, too. >> Yeah, that's different. I'm not I'm not going to sit here and lie. You don't need to lie. >> So So here's the thing. Listen. How do you expect me to believe that he punched you in the face? >> And that's not the same same mark that you put on your face when you put the same ones on your chest. >> I mean, you weren't here, so I don't expect you to believe it. Everybody believes him. I'm so sorry. Well, it's >> it's hard not to when you come when you do this >> when I do the right thing. >> And then your aunt right here is saying that you were slapping all on him. >> No. Did I? >> Yes, she did, Carrie. You were hitting him both sides of the face. Just like >> he deserves that he hit me. >> It don't matter. >> You're telling him you didn't way bigger than >> You can see the desperation start to leak out once the lies have nowhere left to hide. Thankfully, the aunt showed up at the right time and saw the self-injury with her own eyes. But the biggest turning point came from the most honest voices in the room, the two seven-year-old kids. >> I want to talk to them real quick and see what what they'll tell you. >> Talk to y'all for a minute. Okay. >> Hello. >> Nobody's in trouble. >> No, no, no. What's your name? >> I told you. >> Oakley. >> Oakley. How old are you? Oakley. >> Seven. >> Seven. >> We're twins. >> They're twins. Okay. What went on inside the house? >> My dad and my mom start a fight. My mom has to be on me. >> Okay. She hit you tonight. >> Yeah. >> Where at? >> On the ribs. >> The ribs? >> No, that was last time. >> You don't know where she hit you? >> She drinks fireball. >> Yeah, but I'm saying you don't know. >> Fireball. >> You don't know where she hit you? >> I forgot. Brantley >> painted a picture and mom liked it. And when we were sleeping, Brantley told Kevin and then mom said no. And when I opened the door for Kevin, mom like and we ran in her room and mom tried to hit us. >> Okay. >> Not you. She She grabbed the picture and and she throw the painting at at me. But she did slap Kevin. >> She did. >> Her stepdad. >> Okay. >> Yeah. He She didn't um He has a white shirt. He didn't um um touch >> He didn't touch her at all. >> Yes. >> Come on, Deputy Waters. Hey, you stand up for me. Hands on your back. >> Do not pull away. >> I'm sorry. Can I hit this one more time? >> Absolutely. >> Thank you. >> Do you have some slippers or something inside? >> Yes, sir. >> So, for him punching me, that's he's not going to get in trouble for that. >> Well, here's the thing. There's multiple people that's saying that you hit him. Nobody's ever Nobody's saying that that that he ever touched you. >> He did. >> Like like I listen to you. Like I explained to you earlier, you openly admitted to scratching yourself on your chest. >> I did, but he still punched me. >> Why? What makes you think that a reasonable person would believe that that mark that you have a mark right here? >> I do. >> That he did that when you openly admitted that you were doing this. >> You want to talk to my neighbor cuz they were here. >> I if they weren't out here, I can't say. Kids don't make up the smell of alcohol or violent behavior. At this point, the mother's resistance wasn't just aimed at the police. It was stomping all over her own child's right to feel safe. Inside the patrol car, the mask drops, and what's left is raw anger and an ego with nothing to hide behind. >> Grab me like that. I'm not fighting you. >> YES, YOU ARE. >> PANTS are falling. Oh, my pants go down. Good job. Good job. Well, if you cooperate, these things wouldn't happen. >> No, if you wouldn't be grabbing me like a psych. >> You're pulling and twisting. >> I'm not pulling. I'm talking talking. Not pulling and twisting. You're pulling and twisting. >> Is there anything on you that's going to get you in trouble? >> I hope so. >> Is there anything on you that's going to get you in trouble? >> I don't think you were safe. >> I don't care what you mean. You don't care about how safe. >> I swear to God, I'm about to bust a window. Watch me. Stupid. I HOPE [screaming] YOU ROTT IN HELL. YOUR OWN DAUGHTER DON'T WANT YOU. I'M ABOUT TO BUST OUT A WINDOW. YOU STUPID. GOD DAMN. THAT'S WHAT FLORIDA COPS ARE LIKE, HUH? A MAN hits a womb and y'all take me. That's That's cute. THAT'S REAL CUTE. WHAT YOU GOING TO DO? GO SUCK A YOUING [screaming] stupid ass cops. STUPID ASS MOTHER. YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME. LET'S ARREST ME, RIGHT? Stupid ass cops. GET OFF [screaming] OF ME. Get stupid ass. LOCK MY DOOR. OH MY. HEY. NO. NO. [screaming] NO. NO. NO. NO. [screaming] NO. IT'S NOT HIS HOUSE. I'M ABOUT TO BREAK SOMETHING. Y'ALL WANT TO GET [screaming] STUPID? >> Open this. I'M >> WHEN I open this door, >> shut up. >> STUPID PIECE OF [ __ ] THE [ __ ] >> ALL I'M GOING TO TELL you is you turn away. >> I already told you. >> Turn away from me. >> I already have. >> I hope a man hits you. Oh, let me guess. You too good for that though, right? >> SHUT THE DOOR DOWN. >> IN the end, she was taken to jail and faced a stack of serious charges, including domestic assault, property damage, resisting, [music] and fleeing. If convicted, penalties could reach $5,000, and up to 24 months of probation. A mother who can't control herself teaches her children fear instead of love. The scratches [music] on her chest may fade, but the scar in the kid's minds watching all of this can last [music] a lifetime. A mother gets stopped at the front door. And right after that, tragedy [music] erupts in a hospital bed. On April 28th, 2024, police were called to a pediatric unit after a disturbing report. Medical staff spotted signs of drug use right inside a hospital room. When a baby's safety is put in harm's way, it stops [music] being family drama and turns into a serious legal problem fast. Um, so we have baby baby's medically there, but we're holding physio because mom came in. I had a patient like 3 nights ago was like very impaired. He's nodding off falling asleep. Um, so if I put a tally sit in there, so there's a camera in there. Um, tonight I guess she got this guy. I don't know if this is dad or not. I'm probably going to know dad is incarcerated for this baby. So I'm not sure if that's dad. Um when we got here they were both here. Um but then she left at some point and um Tally Center called obviously not our charge thing that like looks at babies but they have a bunch of like stuff like that. >> There's a blue in there. Okay. >> Do you guys know what mom's name is? >> Muddy Bell. The reason why I'm here. >> Do you want to guess why I'm here? Get creative. >> Okay. >> Of course. >> I'm going to read you your rights before I make this make a before I do something. Okay. Do you understand each of these rights I have explained to you? >> Yes. >> That's been here with her. Okay. >> That's her dad. >> That's her dad. He was here the whole time and there was in here. >> What the I'll tell you where he's at right now. You guys can go and [ __ ] arrest him. He's not supposed to have it. And we're supposed to be getting clean. And >> so that's why we're That's why I'm here. Okay. >> She She had it. >> Did they take it away? >> Yeah, I have it. >> Okay. How like how much was it or what? >> It's burnt. There was a pill in it. >> Huh? >> There was a pill in it. It's burnt. >> Wait, what do you mean like a pill in it? >> It's the aluminum foil was in a square. Okay. and it was burnt >> and there was a 30 stamped inside the aluminum foil >> like somebody >> and she had it >> she had it in her hand. >> The moment an officer mentioned the burnt foil with drugs in the child's hand, her first move wasn't panic for her baby. It was blameshifting. She immediately pointed at her boyfriend, turning him into a convenient fall guy so she could step back from the legal heat. But tears don't erase a record and they don't rewrite what's in front of everyone's eyes. >> Where are you, sweetie? You doing okay? I don't see. >> He's okay. Who's that? Say hi. >> I know your mama. >> Happy hunt. [applause] >> If you're happy. >> When was the last time her diaper was changed? >> Um, I just changed her. There was a dirty diaper right there. >> Yeah, I just changed it. >> So, is there a reason why you didn't let the hospital staff attend to her? >> When? >> Just whenever. Cuz they can take care of her. Like, they can change her diaper. Oh, there's no reason they didn't let them change their When was this like when were you guys talking about? >> So, we had offered to put a sitter in here. Like a sitter in one of the blue scrubs and you didn't want her in here. Yeah. Um when I didn't want the sitter in here because that's the first time when he was going to stay in here and we were fighting. I like I just thought it was like kind of weird. Like not weird but like we were fighting. You know what I mean? I didn't I didn't want someone I don't you know just sitting right here everything. But the thing is, >> like I was fine with them coming in and out and stuff and like >> But the thing is is you got to understand it's not for you guys. It's for your daughter. That's what the sitter was for >> at that time. I didn't think that he like I really thought he was trying to work things out with me. >> Okay. >> That's why and we were talking and that night we were talking everything out and >> like you got to understand this is a very big thing right here right now. >> No, I know it is. That's why >> this is involving your little one. Okay. Almost falling off of the bed. >> When was this? How many times has this have the staff told you guys that she's about to fall off the bed? >> They haven't told me. You guys haven't told me anything. >> We offered you the crib to sleep on cuz you were passed out >> and you didn't want her to go in the crib. >> No, I said it was No, it's okay. She was fine with me. >> But you were passed out half of the time. >> What do you mean half of the time? It's night time. Of course. Me and my daughter were sleeping. >> She was sleeping with me. >> She was She was awake >> in the morning. She was awake right here. get vaccinated or something like that they'd said. And I asked my grandma about it. My grandma said, "Bull." And she called mad. So [ __ ] That's a lie. She's like, "Oh, they didn't get the the documents from LA Media and they need to get them from her and and this and that." But I the last time I remember my grandma taking her was probably when she was like 6 months old. I don't even know. >> Do you want to know probably know why? >> Why? >> Well, your daughter was born with in her system. >> Mhm. >> Okay. I know >> you ODed in January of 2024 within you were brought here. >> Me? >> You remember that? >> Officers quickly recognized Bella from a prior theft case back when she swallowed drugs to ditch evidence. She claimed she'd been clean for 3 days, but then admitted she'd been taking methadone and Subutex. That contradiction says a lot. It's not recovery. It's switching up the cover story while keeping a child right next to dangerous items. figure out who brought the inside the hospital. >> Him. I'm telling you right now, him. >> So, if it's both your bag? >> No, he brought it in. It was probably in his pocket. Just because my bag was up here and he was sitting up here with the baby and he put it down. Just cuz my bag is up here with my stuff when he put it down next to my stuff doesn't mean that it came out of my bag. >> Okay. >> How was Just real quick, cuz the CFD is going to want the grandma to come, but I don't want the grandma to come and get her. >> So, >> the baby. Yeah. So, what what what was up with the grandma on Wednesday? >> She just doesn't like intend to her either. >> Either. >> I don't know if just cuz she's a lot older or >> How old is she? >> It's just a break room. >> Yeah. So, maybe like >> nobody comes up here. So, when I do my thing with her, they don't interfere or something. >> So, just so you guys know, >> when you find it, do you grab it or >> Yeah. there. >> Did you find it right there? >> Yeah. >> And where where is it at? >> So, did you have anything right there? >> No. She was was in the bag. >> Was in the bag. >> Oh, okay. It's right there. I saw it. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So, you couldn't see the the circle? I mean, it wasn't it wasn't the second one was a supple. The first one like had like looked like a [ __ ] smoke. >> Yeah. Whatever. >> Is that one right there? Is that the one where she had >> the second one? Yeah. >> Check this out. Angel has schizophrenia. She has the child abuse charges. Um there was a lot of history with CFB. >> Oh no. >> Yeah, that's the grandma. >> So Angel is with the grandma. >> Oh no. She failed to tell us that. >> Oh no. >> Angel suffering from schizophrenia. >> Refuses to take care of us. >> Oh my god. >> Um. >> Oh my god. >> Grandma lied and said that. >> It seems like a little bit of a lift. >> Yes. >> Fear of getting caught started outranking her child's needs. A hospital room should have been a rare safe space. Instead, it got swallowed by the shadow of addiction. And the second police touched what she was hiding. The mask slipped off. What came out wasn't control. It was a full-on panic spiral from someone who felt their last grip on the story was slipping. >> Just come out here. Okay. Just I need you to turn around. I'm going to be detained right now. Okay. >> Where are your scabs from? >> Burning. >> Why are you burning? >> Huh? >> Burns from what? >> Where's your chair to sit on? >> Actually, we're going to go to my unit. Yeah, we're we're done up here now. I have charges that are going to be going to you. Okay. >> What? >> I'll let you know once I get to my car. >> Cuz I know where people hide things. >> Miss Gonzalez. >> Yeah. >> Why were you lying? >> Huh? >> Why were you lying? >> Don't pick up my boob for them to see. >> Nobody can see anything. >> You can see in the mirror, dude. That's what the That's not right. >> You know what else is not right? Having paraphernalia in the hospital while your daughter's sick is also not right. Oh, you can unbuckle me. No, >> I'm going to unbuckle your your hanging somewhere else. You're in a hospital. Nobody's right here. >> Stop moving. >> Why are you looking at me? >> Stop moving. No one >> stop. >> What are you trying to do, dude? >> She has something. >> You're going to get charged with possession if you don't give it to me right now. >> Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? >> Joe's going to find it. Y'all tell him to do a strip search on you. >> Stop showing them [ __ ] I'm not showing you anything. Where is it? >> Stop. Don't do that. Uhoh. >> I just want to hold my flashlight. Dude, >> stop trying to look at me. Police even offered to let her grab her own items in the bathroom to save face, but she refused, likely hoping to stall and ditch evidence. She fought harder to hold on to the drugs than to protect her baby. Meanwhile, the baby stayed heartbreakingly quiet. Innocence that fragile shouldn't be anywhere near that kind of danger. >> Stop. Stop it, dude. Stop. >> It's got to be in the >> Stop. >> Stop. No. >> Stop. Hey, you're putting your hand on my pants. Stop it. Stop putting your hand on my pants, >> dude. >> Don't kick. >> STOP PUTTING YOUR HAND ON MY PANTS. >> HEY, DUDE. Your hands are in my vagina. >> Yes, they are. >> Kid, don't do nothing. Something's falling. >> Yeah, something is falling. >> Stop it. Get up. >> Oh my god. >> Get up. >> Get up. >> Hey [laughter and snorts] guys, we need >> You punched me in the face. >> Cuz you bit me. >> Slapped me. >> Cuz you punched me. >> You bit her. >> Video. Did you punch me? >> I have my video. I slapped you twice. >> You punched me. >> Three times. >> You punched me. >> Cuz you bit her and you kicked her. >> I tried biting her. >> No, you did bite. >> Bite. No, I didn't. >> It's right here. You're going to sit right here. No, I don't want to sit. >> You're going to sit down. >> I don't want it. >> Miss Gonzalez, you're going to sit down. >> I don't want >> Stop. >> Stop. >> That's not my bag. >> Whose bag is that? >> Why? >> He put all the stuff in there. There's a video of you brought it in. And there's another one in there, too. >> Is that his, too? >> Huh? >> Is that his, too? >> No, that's mine. [ __ ] >> My bad. >> Jesus Christ. In the end, she was arrested and hit with a long list of charges, including assaulting a police officer, assaulting medical staff, two counts, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and child endangerment/ abuse. When drugs chew through a mother's instincts, what's left can be an empty soul clinging to lies just to survive the next minute. What do you think? Does mercy still [music] belong in the conversation when a child's life is the thing being gambled? And before anyone could even catch their breath from the hospital mess, the airport gate area erupts into chaos. On April 16th, 2023, police were dispatched to an airport to handle a public disturbance. [music] A woman was accused of ignoring security rules, yelling, running through crowds, and refusing to cooperate. What started as a routine situation quickly spiraled out of control. >> Hello. >> Don't touch me. >> We're not touching him. Yeah. >> Leave me alone. >> What's going on? >> No, no, no. Hey, I spoke with your husband earlier. I was the one to speak. >> You spoke with him already. >> I know. So, are you on the phone with him? >> Don't touch me. Leave me alone. >> Are you Can we talk? >> Don't touch that. >> Leave me alone. >> No, I am not stopping. You will away from me. You need to settle down and so we can talk. >> I'm sorry, baby. >> No. >> I am getting away from the people. >> Over there. >> Over there. You need to settle down. >> You need to SETTLE DOWN. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. >> YOU NEED TO settle down. >> NO, I WILL NOT SETTLE DOWN. >> YOU WILL BACK UP. >> YES, you will. >> You will back up. >> She's got a pen IN HER. >> NO. GET OFF OF ME. GET [screaming] ON THE GROUND. DOWN THE SETTLE DOWN. SETTLE DOWN. [screaming] >> GET THE GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF. GET OFF. Get off. No. >> No. >> STOP BITING. >> GET OFF OF ME. Get off of me. >> Roll over. You're making me hard on yourself. Back. >> Get the off of me. >> Your body can taste. [screaming] >> Which side do you want to roll? >> Once the perfect wife and mother mask slipped, what remained was pure fight or flight from an ego pushed into a corner. She wasn't just resisting the police. She was resisting the truth that she was no longer the center of attention. Somebody help me. >> Somebody help me. Somebody help me. Help. >> No, you're not. Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me. No. No. Okay. Get off of me. >> Stay right there. >> Get off. >> Please get off of me. >> We're not on you. >> Just lay right there. Get medical. >> Please get off of me. I don't need medical. Please help me, GUYS. GET OFF. NO. NO. Please get off. Wow. Oh my god. >> No. Please don't put me in a cage car. >> [laughter] >> Please get off of me. >> Get off >> of me now. >> No. >> No. Please. >> You need to settle down. >> I know you have a family, too. >> Just do it to me. >> All right. >> I have kids. >> I have beautiful kids. >> Please leave me alone. >> Just settle down and we'll get everything going for you. >> Leave me alone. >> Please. [crying] Just snake me up. >> If you don't when you start complaining, >> we can sit you right here. >> Me up. >> Are you going to behave? >> If you sit right here behave, >> you know, not kick ass. >> I wasn't kicking you. >> Yes, you were. >> I'm not going to negotiate with you when you're the person with the knee on my back. >> All right. Well, you're sitting on your side, so >> Yes. So, please hit me up. >> Well, no. I don't trust that you're not going to kick it. See, look. >> I'm not going to kick. I'm trying to get up. No, cuz you're not. >> Oh my gosh. What is this? >> I don't think we can trust you to >> What is this? >> We're waiting for the medical people to come here and get and take a look at you. >> I don't want any medical team. >> Did you bring my >> No. No. >> Get him away. [crying] >> NEVER MIND. [screaming] >> GET him away from me. >> If truth were a bitter pill, she tried to spit it out with lies to dodge responsibility. When aggression stopped working, she switched to passive resistance, going silent, stalling, playing helpless. One last attempt to delay facing reality. >> I don't want medical. >> Well, we got to get YOU MEDICAL ANYWAY. >> WE GOT to get you medical. So, you're on the way. >> Just No, just me then. Just take out your gun and me. >> No, we're not doing that. [screaming] >> I'm sorry, babies. This is normal for you babies. Babies, I want to tell you. Babies, please help me. Don't do this to me. >> Oh god, no. >> Well, they're going to try to talk to you, but >> they're going to try to talk to him. Behave. >> Oh my gosh. Why are you telling me to behave? I have done nothing wrong. >> Okay, so talk to me then. I'm I'm paramedic. >> I don't want a paramedic. >> Well, >> I need help. >> Sam. Sam, can you swap, please, with me real quick? >> It's hurting. >> No, Sam, don't come near me. Sam, >> don't put on gloves and don't come near me. >> You got a cut on. What? How'd you get down? Please sit down. Sit down. Sit down. >> Please. Please. Sit down. Sit up. Please sit down. Please just sit down. >> You want to get her feet up down there? >> No. Don't touch me. >> We're not touching. >> Please. Do you have a >> We're just getting lift up. You can >> No, no, no, no. Don't let them take me. Please. >> Please don't let them take No. Please don't let me Why are all these men on me and nobody's trying to help me? >> WE ARE HELPING. >> NO, you're not. Just put your feet up here and it really up. >> Oh, >> is there other sneakers? >> I already >> don't touch me. Please stop it. Why would you fall out? >> Please don't let them take me. >> Does she have any other family? >> In front of everyone, she was placed in a wheelchair like a piece of luggage that no longer fought back. By turning her own body into a human barricade to challenge law enforcement, her dignity slowly slipped away. That was the final price of prolonged defiance. >> Why are you running? >> 23, I guess. Go left. >> Just go left. >> Yeah. >> I'm sorry. This is happening to you, baby. Yes. >> Come on. >> 24. >> CAN you make some? >> No. >> Get off of me. >> If he gets off or going to >> We're going this way, folks. us. Ma'am, stop. Please come through here. >> Me, please. >> Thank you. >> NO, PLEASE. >> Come on now. >> Please don't take me away. No. >> Stop kicking. >> No. Please. NO. >> NO. >> Please get when you get here. Park behind you. Rescue. >> Let's hold her here. Let her sit in the chair right there. Sit down. Let her sit down. Yes, we got we are not going to play the game of walking around. >> Can you check my neck over here? >> No, it's not broken. >> It's swollen. >> We're going to be your left. >> Was that a bike? Yes, you've been there. >> Do they have >> No. >> Oh, they open. Sorry. >> Help me. >> You're making this a lot more difficult. >> No, don't. >> Watch your hands. She's by your hand. >> Grab her arms. You guys ready? On three. One, two, three. UP SHE GOES. MY ARMS. PLEASE PUT ME DOWN. I was walking. >> When the wheelchair became mandatory, she realized her freedom was officially over. In front of the crowd, she tried to negotiate for a shred of self-respect. But after all her earlier outbursts, officers no longer trusted her promises. >> I'll talk to you when we get down there. Okay. All right, ma'am. I'll talk to you when we get down there. >> Yeah, we're going to have to put on the stretch. All right. Back in. Back in. Back in. >> Yeah, we could. >> Hey. >> Hey. Sge. >> They say they're asking. >> Yeah. >> Yep. Amar's still coming. >> NO. DO NOT HIT me anymore. >> Hurry up. >> We got on the ground face. And as I was trying to flip her over, she stood up real fast and just holding on to it. Was she holding on to it? >> Oh, yeah. It was pulling away. I can feel it. That's why I was like, "Stop." >> Okay, we have to move the car up a little bit out of the roadway, but >> can we do her >> and then one to the to the >> Yeah, just just >> I think that's what they said. I just want to make it. I don't really know how >> it's going to be disorderly and >> resisting with go and you head up there. We'll take care of the rest for you. Keep me in the loop on everything that's going on. >> I'll keep you updated. >> Can you take that break? Soon as you get your ID, send it out. After being taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation, she faced multiple serious charges, including disorderly conduct, [music] assault, and resisting arrest, both with and without violence. In the end, she avoided immediate jail time and was placed in a pre-trial diversion program, requiring 100 hours of community service, [music] mandatory mental health evaluation, a written apology to the officers, and participation in community rehabilitation classes. [snorts] When strangers were still reaching out to help, one cruel phone call shattered what was left of family ties. On January 30th, 2024, police were dispatched after a call reporting domestic violence. A mother said her daughter was drunk and out of control. When the phone was ripped from her hand, every line of safety inside that home started to collapse. And that's when things truly began to unravel. I'm not pushing the phone. That's That's real though. >> Okay. So, who took whose phone? >> Nobody's kicking back. So, both mine. >> All right. So, somebody got pushed. So, you have two phones and you have one phone. >> No. No. Yeah, I do. And I do both of those at my time. Both of those are mine. Yep. >> Okay. So, what happened? >> My mom has been a [ __ ] this morning. Literally, we got up and No lie, she started cleaning the dishes. 8:00. Okay. I won't lie, we got into some arguments. It progressed throughout the day a little bit. Uh, >> she literally lost her mind. >> So, are we going to So, are we going to get here and the progression is going to end up with somebody being incuffed? Probably. >> No. No. Neither one at all. >> I know. Just typically when people see us and then run away, it's like, "Oh, that's the people we're looking for. That's the people we're looking for." >> We're here for y'all. >> Okay. All right. Well, just hang tight until I figure out what we got and then uh we're going to figure out if you stick it or not. So, >> yeah. No, nobody's really fast. We're good. >> Okay. All right. So, when you say stuff escalated, what does that what does that do? >> My mama, she kind of got mad at us. You know, we were hanging out. She's mad we don't have full-time jobs right now. She's been telling us to get a job. We're not going to hang around the house all day. >> Okay. You're an adult? >> Yes, we're adult. I mean, we're we're adults. >> Okay. All right. You both have the same mom? >> Yeah. No, actually a niece. >> Yeah. So, our moms are sisters. >> Okay. And both of y'all live here? >> Yes. Uh, well, definitely. I live there. She lives on Roondo a little bit. That was my brother. But we're together a lot. >> Okay. And where's your mom live at? >> My mom lives here. >> Okay. So, your mom lives here? You live with her? >> My mom was the one with the complaint. Jackie gave us. She's the one who called. >> So, y'all live together? >> Yes. Me and my mom. >> Okay. >> There she is. She's right there in the back. >> For the young woman, living off her mother wasn't a problem. It was a right. Every reminder to take responsibility felt like an attack. On one side stood stubborn youth. on the other, a mother who had run out of patience. Between those two clashing worlds, the truth was waiting to come out. >> What happened? >> Um, she has been on a road destruction for a while. >> Yes, ma'am. >> She moved in with me 6 months ago. We done nothing to help her. She got in trouble over the weekend. >> Okay. >> Y'all should have a report of that. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Um, I get up this morning. We had floors being done at 8:00. I said, "Hey, y'all got to get up." She comes out of the room, tells me I'm a [ __ ] [ __ ] It's like it's everything >> right. >> So I said, Sean, just get out of the house. I'm getting out. >> Well, they stayed outside all day. I stayed inside. >> I came home and I They're drinking. They had it in here on the counter. >> There's cameras. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I come out and I said, "As long, y'all find somewhere to go. My teeth are falling out." All right. >> So, um I said um y'all find somewhere to go while I'm not sitting around here drinking because I get mad and want to fight and >> Yes, ma'am. >> She come up to me. You dead snatched my phone. You ain't never been >> just being disrespectful. So, were you like videoing them or did you just have it and she snatched >> calling calling 911? >> So, you told her you were calling 911. She took it home. Okay. >> I'm not scared the [ __ ] mom. That don't bother me. >> And which one was it? >> My daughter in all black now. I'm an 8-year-old with me. >> Yes, ma'am. >> And the the other one wants to tell me I'm not going to take her. I said, "Yes, I am. I'm going to take her back home and I'm going to call the law." >> Okay. Oh, call the wall. The one in the all black small one. The real small. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. >> No. >> And then is the other one just her friend or >> my niece? >> Okay. >> Yeah. They don't >> Which one put their hands on you? >> My daughter. >> Okay. >> Yeah, my daughter. >> Okay. Do you Are y'all still living together or >> Yeah. Yeah. They She lives in the extra room. Never charge her nothing of your your house? >> Yes. Me and my son. This is my son and we live. >> Did he see it all happen or was he Okay. No, sir. Snatching a phone to stop a 911 call is often treated as obstruction of justice and can seriously upgrade a domestic violence case. While the mother sat in fear inside her own home, San couldn't or wouldn't see that pain. To her, her mom was just an obstacle to personal comfort. >> Some good things >> about just the dishes. >> Dishes at the bathroom. I'm not going to lie. Said, "Why did you swing the dishes at 8:00?" And she said it's 8:00. Like that's late, you know? Like 8 o'clock is early, right? Early. Am I not wrong? I said, "Oh my god, get up and see." >> So that night I was impressing y'all were drinking. Were y'all drinking? Have y'all been drinking today? >> No. So this is just always how y'all act. >> I think you know I might be going over apartments later. >> Don't be doing that. >> No, not for you guys. Totally different. Um yes, it was just the dishes and um we kind of got into a discussion about that and it escalated from there. People know, I won't lie, they have known me for a while. When I first wake up, I'm kind of a different animal. You know, it takes me about an hour to kind of come to and you know, she she spoke to me the last hour and it was it was rough. I won't lie. It was a little rough between us, but everyone knows that, you know, if she would have just given it 30 minutes, you know, we would have been fine. Nothing would have ever escalated, you know, but she just kind of fed into the beast. [laughter] >> Y'all know what that is. Y'all know how that is. And so was it just verbal? Y'all just yelling back and forth? >> It was totally just verbal. It was totally just verbal. >> Nobody put hands on each other. >> Yeah. No, no, no. It was my >> What? What's up with the phone? Because I'm going to tell you that that's a unique circumstance. I don't think that something happened with the phone. >> Yeah. Here comes the Boise. >> Something like that. >> Is that your phone? >> Was that your phone? Yeah, that's >> okay. So, okay. >> So, they no longer had it. >> No, >> it was just sitting right there. >> Okay. >> We can't go anywhere. We need to do some paperwork. We're going to be doing some basic domestic violence paperwork. Okay. >> S believed pushing her mother and grabbing the phone were just natural consequences of not getting what she wanted. So when officers announced a temporary detention, years of bottled up emotion exploded. Instead of calming down, both daughters chose to square off with the law. >> You are out of just right there. I need you to RECOGNIZE YOUR [ __ ] JAIL. What is wrong with you? >> Okay, hold on. >> Okay, hold on. I CAN GET UP. YO, I CAN [ __ ] GET UP, Y'ALL. >> YEAH, you got to >> Y [ __ ] ridiculous. >> I got to get >> Where are you going? You're in co. YOU'RE SO [ __ ] UP, JACKIE. >> You guys, baby. >> Okay, quick. >> You don't want to listen? >> Yes, I will. I promise. I promise. I think I want to hurry really bad. >> Hey, she been search. Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Put me down, baby. >> Stay back. All right. >> Okay. So, we're going to complete some Jesus Christ. We're going to complete some basic uh domestic violence paperwork. Okay. Um who is that individual to you? I know that's >> you pull her or your car over here. So, we won't both of them. So, probably about a week ago, they were out front of my apartment climbing around my condo. >> Oh, yeah. That's how she knew where I was. GROSS. SO, originally packet right here. Yeah. So, originally this was just going to be uh paperwork for DVD. However, now we're going to be doing Hey, you're going to have to take it. >> Hey, we're going to have to >> Once her world shrank to the size of a back seat, her ego went into full panic mode. Being ignored was unbearable. She kicked the patrol car window and screamed for attention, forcing officers to restrain her all over again. >> Shut up, >> QUICK. DO NOT [ __ ] do nothing. You're going to get >> she taking anything in there? >> Did she do anything? >> 40 closest. >> She do any other things substances? >> I'm not sure. I just I literally just came got home from work when y'all pulled up, too. So, >> OKAY. WHAT THE [ __ ] >> KICKING MY WINDOW. >> YOU GOING TO GET HOBBLE JUICE? >> WHAT THE [ __ ] I TALK TO HER. >> YOU AIN'T TALKING TO NOBODY RIGHT NOW. >> [ __ ] YOU. >> I WANT TO TALK TO HER RIGHT [ __ ] NOW. [screaming] >> Y'ALL BOTH GOING TO JAIL. [ __ ] YOU. >> You realize you didn't have nothing to do with this, right? And you acting a fool. You going to end up going to jail. >> I DON'T GIVE A [ __ ] >> KEEP KICKING MY WINDOW. You going to get hobbled just like your friend over. >> I THINK I'M GOING HOME, [ __ ] GET AWAY WITH ME, [ __ ] YEAH, WE CAN get >> it. She hit her head on the back. >> No, she was kicking my bar. >> That's what she was doing right there. >> A liar. I know you. >> You do? >> Why are you calling me Murphy? >> Murphy? >> I know you. You >> do. >> How about that? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Can I come Ash? >> Yeah, whatever. Y'all are a bunch of [ __ ] >> Sean, you got to calm down. >> You're a bunch of [ __ ] [ __ ] >> You got to calm down. >> You hurt me. [ __ ] God you hurt me. That's not how I feel. I'm sorry. Y'all will have the biggest [ __ ] lawsuit unit. I hope the [ __ ] gods you hurt me, [ __ ] I hope the [ __ ] god you hurt me. Hurt me, [ __ ] Hurt me, [ __ ] HURT ME, [ __ ] I HOPE THE [ __ ] GOD YOU HURT ME. DID YOU EVER DO THIS [ __ ] >> In the end, both daughters were arrested. The main suspect, San faced charges including assault on an elderly person, assault on a law enforcement officer, and violent resistance. Her cousin was charged with resisting arrest. If convicted, they could face thousands of dollars in fines while the family once again steps in to support daughters who refuse to grow up. What do you think about this mother's continued forgiveness? Does compassion still help, or does it quietly enable the cycle? From betrayal within blood ties to rage over a misplaced package, everything slips out of control. On August 29th, 2024, what started as a small argument over a misdelivered package ended up needing police intervention. A simple misunderstanding escalated fast, and it all happened right in front of children. When emotions outrun common sense, the line between a conflict and a crime gets razor thin. >> So, I came to this enemy. >> I got you. Are your eyes still burning? >> What the heck? >> Okay. >> All right. The kids are over there. Where are they? Outside. >> I don't know. dogs and not have no kids, but they didn't get sprayed. They were behind us. >> So, they didn't get sprayed. Did you get sprayed? Did they pour water on you and flush out all the eyes and stuff? >> All right. >> Yeah, I used Noah a little bit. >> No, you can use this whole thing. Just pour it on you. No, but you got to go down. So, those kids aren't yours. >> No, they were behind behind you. Just make sure the kids Okay. >> All right. >> We'll try to get you to sit down. But did he leave or did she leave? >> I don't know. I think they're in there >> in the 39. And if you go inside right now, you should do it before they hide it. They have all my stuff. >> So, do you know them? >> No. >> Do they have any weapons or anything like that? >> I don't know. But they were going inside like they were going to come out and get something, so I ran over here. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Sit on that golf cart. He's fine. >> Hey, open up, man. >> I'm opening. >> Hey, no, no. Hey, hey, hey. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. Come outside this house. Step out. Step out. Step out and step and go right over there. No, no, no. Step out and go over there. Go that way. Where is the person who did the pepper spray? >> The lady, she's right out there with the dress on. Hang >> tight. >> Go out to our car real quick. We're going to just keep yall separate. We going to question. You can go [snorts] with him. You're good. You can go with him. Go out to the car, speak with him, and I'll speak with you. We got to separate everybody so we can figure this out. Have a seat. So, I need water. >> I have water inside. I have water inside. >> Okay. >> Sit right here. Fresh air is what helps. So, let me get some water. Sit right here. Do not move. >> Here you go. You got to flush your eyes out. Pour in water and but you got to same thing. >> Oh my god. >> I know. That's right. I'll pour. >> The second officer showed up. The suspect immediately played the victim to grab the emotional upper hand. It was a classic move. Steer the spotlight away from her own violent behavior and try to shape the story first. But the neighbor mom's statement cut through that I'm the one being wronged act and exposed the entitlement she built her whole version of events around. Baby, >> she sprayed it all in her van while we were going to head OUT OVER A PACKAGE THAT WAS DELIVERED TO OUR DOOR. >> All right, thank [laughter] you. >> I haven't even caught that at work yet. I told them I would take it to the leasing office. >> The fire department's coming and I got >> No, I got you here. >> I need something here. You got a pet, but you got to keep showing your eye. Whose house is this? Yours? >> Yes. >> Who is she? >> A neighbor. I don't know. We were going to get lunch and she just walked up to the van, started yelling and screaming about the packet. She like, "Go in the house and get my package right now." I told her, I said, "I will drop your packages off to the leasing office once I get off work." I tried to get in the van and close the door and she opened it and just started spraying in the van. Pepper spray and then my husband got out and try to push her away from the van. Okay. >> And then I tried to grab the kids to come in the house and I called 911. >> Cover the baby. Can I go in the shade? I know. Go in the shade. You got spray, too? >> Yeah. He has your ID. >> My ID's in my purse right there. >> Okay. Did she spray y'all in here or did she spray y'all over there? >> She sprayed us right here in the car and was all over here. Where did she spray you at? >> And you were in the car when it happened. >> She was coming around trying to protect trying to move her from the car when she sprayed. >> Yeah, I saw her. >> Y'all looking to get checked out? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Spray. >> Yesterday we got a package and the package did not belong to us. The package is in the house by the door. One of the neighbors came to the door and I did come to the door. I just talked to him through the wall and I told him that my husband would take the package to the leasing office. Today we got another package while I was at work. So, it's next to the other package. They're both not opened or anything and it says eating 15 and we're eating 39. So, my husband just picked him up from school and came to get me to take us to get lunch. And this Mexican Hispanic lady comes walking to my door. Right when I'm about to close it, she grabs it open and she's like, "You need to go in the house and get my package right now or you're going to jail for felony." And I'm like, "Excuse me, ma'am. I already told whoever came to the door yesterday that your package will be at the leasing office. I'm not going back into the house and getting anything." And then she starts yelling and cursing. >> The real issue was a package delivered to the wrong address when there wasn't a quick agreement to hand it back. The suspect snapped, especially when the other family seemed willing to keep it. Anger turned into an attack right there at the car. And the worst part, she was still holding her child while she was exposed to pepper spray. That's not protecting your property. That's dragging a kid into adult chaos. >> Her physically, we didn't have no weapons, no pepper spray. We didn't do anything physically to her. I just told her her package would be at the Houston office. And she kept saying, "I'm going to jail because I stole her or her package." And I'm like, "I didn't steal anything. Your package got delivered to my door and come to your door and take your package." >> When you go to shower later, you're going to be real careful because if it's oil based, it runs >> then everything is irritated. So, anything that got pepper spray, wash them completely separate cuz it's oil. Let me go talk to her. What you got? >> Got the doctor argument. Him and the wife, right? And then he got in there, pushed her out the way, but you told me ID already. >> I don't have my ID on. >> Okay. >> I got it. I didn't go in it or anything yet. I just have it just so I can see. You got pepper spray. Okay. As legibly as you can, just write your first name, your last name, date of birth, and your phone number. >> I'm sorry for confronting you. >> No, you're good. Do you all live together? Yeah. >> From the beginning, tell me what happened. >> I came over because I knew my package was stolen. Well, I had a friend who came here yesterday and asked them and they said that they returned it to that office down there. So, I go today. I asked, "Do you guys have my package?" They said, "No." I was like, "Well, some people said that they came and returned it like a woman." And they said, "No, no woman's came here and they just came to check on me. They're coming to bring me water." They can tell you the same thing I just said. And this is my fault. I came cuz I know that it's them at 39E. I have a picture on Amazon of, you know, that's their and this is where it's it's my fault. I confronted them. I I knocked in the door. I said, "Hey, you guys," Well, I didn't knock on the door. They were getting their car. I said, "Hey, you guys have my package. Please, can I just have it back? I need it to work, to pay rent." She got out of the car really mad and aggressive and she said, "You didn't ask me nicely enough." And she's like, "I'm going to go and get you a package cuz you didn't ask me nicely enough." And I said, "Ma'am, please leave me alone." And she was being all aggressive and up in my face. And he's a big man. They were like coming at me. I'm shoved in between these cars. I was scared. She pepper- sprayed me. I pepper- sprayed her. And the kids were behind us in the car. And they got the spray both the spray cuz he You guys confiscated my pepper spray. She has one, too. We sprayed each other. And we all got sprayed. And she said, "You're going to pay. You're going to pay." And I said, "Sealing mail is a felony." >> She believed her rage was justified. So, she admitted spraying pepper spray, but then tried to twist the timeline to make herself look reasonable. Once officers started breaking down the technical details of the fight, that argument fell apart. There was no solid ground left to stand on. Just a shrinking excuse >> where you said you guys sprayed each other when you were at the car. >> Yeah, she was getting outside of her car. >> On what side? Driver's side or passenger side? >> Passenger side. He was on the driver's side. >> Okay. >> She pushed up in the car. She gets her pepper spray. She's like, "Get out." Like all in my face like you and I's nice enough. Get out of my face. This is my car. This is my property. I can't even like list everything she said. She was going off so fast. >> Okay. But you were >> standing at her car while she was attempting to get in the car, out the car. >> She was like just open. The door was open cuz she came out out of her car to talk to me about the package. >> Okay. >> Like she came out willingly to talk to me >> before the pepper spray happened. Did you create distance? Did you back up? Did you go a certain direction? Or did you kind of stay close to the car? >> No, cuz there was another car there. We were just both like pinched in between the cars. I should have like, you know, left the car, made distance as soon as she was getting up and out of my face. Like I knew she was going to attack me, but I don't know. I just stayed there. >> But you're saying so she pepper- sprayed you first? >> Yes. >> Do you remember which hand the pepper spray was in? >> I think it was her right hand. Hold on. She was It was this hand. It was your left hand. >> Was she facing you when she did it? Did she reach in the car? Was it outside? >> She was facing me. She got in the car to get it. >> Where'd she get it at? >> I think the car m she was picked up off the floor. It was really quick. like she was ready cuz like I said yesterday my friend came asking for the package too. >> Where did she get you? >> So I almost think she knew I was going to like come. >> Where'd she get you after pepper spray? >> She got me like over here. I rinsed it off with this lady's water. It wasn't so bad >> like eyes. >> Yeah, like my eyes are fine now. I got it with like all of this. >> So she pepper sprayed you. Then what happened? >> Then I pepper sprayed her. I reached into my back. You guys took my backpack. >> I got it. Yeah. >> I reached into the right, got it, and I got her. I always carry it on me. This is a bad neighborhood. >> Got you. So you got her. Then what happened? >> That's when we kept arguing and she got her kids because they got when we were both spraying each other, the kids got afraid. She got her kids. She went inside. Then her husband comes out and attacks me. >> When you pepper sprayed her, were you guys outside the vehicle? Was she inside the vehicle? >> We were both outside the vehicle. >> Okay. >> But the door was like open. She reached in to get it. >> Okay. After you said punch or slap? >> He punched. >> So it was closed fist or was open hand? >> It was closed. >> Okay. Closed fist. Okay. In cases without a neutral witness, inconsistent statements are a major red flag. Even if the other side had been unfair in some way, the suspect's decision to cross the line into violence seriously weakened her legal position. When your story keeps changing, it stops sounding like truth and starts sounding like damage control. >> No, I don't have pepper spray on me. I didn't pepper spray her. You can test my hands, my fingers. I did not pepper spray her. I don't have any pepper spray. No, I'm saying. Now, if you have it, ain't nothing legal with it. We just >> Now, I did say I'm going to go in the house and get my pet from the fire department. We don't We don't have cool things no more. We used to. No, we we have stickers. It's just at the pre headquarters. We do have stickers. >> Keep them on. I ran out. >> But we appreciate y'all. Y'all enjoy y'all Thursday. >> Sorry to set up. Miss Tasia, stand up for me, please. >> You got your phone on you. >> It was in my bag. >> Okay, we got your back. We didn't go through it or nothing like that. You face the tree for me, please. And just place your hands behind your back. I'll explain it to you the way I had explained it to them and we all talked about it and just so you understand as well friend want use the other one. So basically, hey I got it. I asked everybody for their stories to kind of see what all goes together. Basically just being placed under arrest for in the end she was arrested and faced a level one child abuse charge. Acting violently in front of children and directly harming them pushed this way beyond a neighbor dispute. What do you think? Can that I'm defending what's mine instinct ever justify putting children in the line of fire? One impulsive burst from a spray can pave the way to a charge that reads like a warning label threatening a child. On November 21st, 2022, police were dispatched to a bar in Kadat, Wisconsin after an emergency call from the bartender. A woman heavily intoxicated was causing repeated disturbances and verbally attacking other customers. The situation quickly slipped out of control. >> I love it. Under arrest, Anna? Yep. It's me. You want an ID? What do you want from me? >> Relax, Anna. >> Dude, these people are bogus. >> Okay. What's going on tonight? >> Can I just tell you the truth? I come here. I put $20 in the juke box. I turned off my music. >> Okay. >> Why? Cuz someone didn't like it. >> County. I'm in contact with the subject and >> Yeah. And they're not safe. >> Anna warned me. No. Listen. Tell them. They're not safe, dude. >> Who's not safe? >> Any of them. >> Just stay over here with me. >> I'm paying to be here. I don't have to be to be here. I choose to. >> That's true. >> She tells me these people don't like your music. I'm going to ask them, "Why don't you like my music?" You know what they said? Oh, I like your music. Yeah, you do. Cuz you're scared of me now. >> Okay. >> Is that ridiculous? I weigh 118 lbs. Scared of what? I don't have weapons. I don't have I have me. I'm real. Really? Take me to jail. I dare you. address the goddamn situation. Okay. I gave a whole bunch of money to some pieces of Once again. Okay. >> I want to hear my songs. If not, give me my money back. >> Should you ask for your money back? >> Yes. Oh, you don't think we've been through this, bro? >> I have no idea. >> Well, the money is in the jukebox. Then play my music. >> Okay. >> Right. Then you know Anna, I created her. >> Sure. >> She's real. >> No, I know. >> Right. You're really going to lose your job if I don't really get to the bottom of the is going on. >> I promise you that. As far as >> as far as anything, if I call you, I need you. If I don't and you arrest me, you're going to lose your badge, sir. >> Swear to God on my life. >> Okay. >> I have purpose. You know what it is? To put people away that don't deserve to be here. >> Okay. >> You might be one of them. >> Address the situation or arrest for that traffic hazard. The deer is still alive and complaining still out with it. >> Anything else? >> NO, I JUST >> WHAT ELSE THEN? WHAT else could there be? >> Kind of relax. Okay, >> dude. I don't know who you are. I don't even know you. I don't give to tell you my story. Not enough. Not enough. >> The anger started over something that seemed small. Having the music turned off. But to her, it wasn't about money. It was about losing control of her space. The moment she realized the police weren't on her side, Karen switched tactics and began firing off insults as a form of resistance. >> You're hiding behind. I don't give a truth. Is the truth. >> Sure. Right. Take me to jail. >> Tell me the truth. >> I did. Won't you get out here and tell them you lying? >> Can you go around the corner for me? >> Tell them the truth before I put you away, mother. >> Just go around the corner. >> Go eat some. You >> Hannah, enough. >> You dude, don't you think? >> Right. Take a test on you. Your hair grows like a lily. You're >> I need hair. I have >> I need you. John fired you, dumb. You got everyone else fired cuz you're a Come here. >> Don't talk to me. >> Well, you're don't get >> arrest me then. Charge me. Let's go about your goddamn decision. Hannah, >> get your goddamn camera on or whatever you carry to protect your self from real, you dumb >> off anything else. >> Are you done? >> I'm done talking to you. Well, you know, >> I was when you pulled up, dumb >> up to me, Anna. >> You're out of your car, sir. [clears throat and cough] >> Right. So, >> what the do you want to know? I just told you everything. >> Not sure why you're yelling at me. >> Cuz I don't like you. I don't even know you. And I know I don't like you. I like limited people. You're not one of them, sir. >> My circle's small and you're out of it. >> That's fine. How are you? >> I'm walking. Obviously, >> how would I know? Obviously. >> Obviously, I don't drive when I'm drunk. I'm not a >> I didn't say you were. I don't I don't >> I hate you >> for what? Hannah, come >> your job. >> Hannah, you're not free to leave. >> Good. Then I'll sit here. >> Okay, then sit here. >> You pig, dude. >> Okay, I'm sorry you feel that way. >> Nothing. >> So, quit talking to me. >> Are you my dad? >> I am not your dad. >> Are you my mom? >> Definitely not your >> So, do I give a what you think of me? >> Probably not. >> Right off, >> okay, Anna. >> Then off [snorts] again, >> okay, >> arrest me. I don't give a I don't like you, dude. I won't even give you the chance to like me cuz you're not worthy or ready. >> A clear-minded person would know that staying quiet is often the safest move. But trapped in an illusion of power, she chose non-stop yelling instead. Every word, every breath slowly turned into evidence against her. Captured on camera and recorded by the law. >> No one coming at me. >> Pig. >> Okay. >> Yeah, >> I already know it. And if you're not, well, then God strike me dead. But guess what? I ain't dead yet, mother. >> Okay. >> Now what? >> Do you feel better now? >> I do. I feel a lot better than I told you how I felt about you before I met you, pig. >> I'm glad I could help you with that. >> Me, too. Too me, too. >> So, my understanding of the situation, >> there's no understanding. Take me to jail. I'll explain it later while you lose your badge, pig. >> Okay. police station. >> God damn it. You know who I am. Chloe's not help. >> What's going on here? >> This pig doesn't help. He comes to my door. You know what he says? Yeah, I'll get Mike to move his cars. But does he know 2 days later he moves his cars? What do you want from me? >> So, how are you GOING TO GET HOME? >> WALKING. >> IT'S cold out. >> I don't give a yelling at me. It's not going to do anything. >> I don't care, dude. >> Isn't it an obstruction or something? I'm sure you got fines up the ass for swearing at you. Aren't you a cop? >> I don't care if you swear to me. >> Oh, now you don't care either. >> Makes you feel better. I don't care. >> I'd like to smash your brains, but I won't cuz I'm smart. >> Well, guess what? >> He'll be on >> for threat for threats to a law enforcement officer. >> For threats to a human for no reason, you're done, dude. Do it right. >> Hey, take those apart for me, please. You want to hold that for me, please? Thank you. >> Better hope I never get out. You're not safe. She's hurt, huh? >> My friend is pat down. >> Had it. >> You got anything on you? >> 437. 435. >> Get the out of town. >> Try to take my clothes off like you did last time, you pig. Take me to the hospital before I poke you in the eyeball with it, you pig. >> She wanted attention. She wanted a reaction. But the officer's calm response only fueled her rage as he went inside the bar to make statements. One truth became obvious. Karen had been pushing every boundary until there was no way back. >> Crazy. It has. >> Thank you for handling that. I'm nervous. She was >> She said she would have handled it, but I was scared. Well, I would have she spit in his face. She didn't spit in mine. She would have hit mine. Trust me, I would have hit her. I don't have a second floor. We're all press. >> So, we'll get on. >> What's that? >> The owner's friend. He's back there. He's worried she's going to like get windows over there's cages on the window. >> She's got the same hairstyle or the same she's got the same clothes on she had three days ago. She probably >> you want to fill this out thing that happened and what you want done, >> right? what what she did to you or what she did to others and and again how you felt and what you said to her and >> you said she started yelling screaming and she went down there >> per se statute what we have is harassment and it would either have to be repeated action followed up by the threats >> I told her of the bar I bartender is what? >> First spitting in my face. >> So, as far as her spit in your face, like I said, I'm going to be pressing some charges there. There is some discharge bodily fluids onto another person statue. >> So, that's that's what I asked you when I asked you if you wish to press charges. >> That's that's what I was taught. >> So, it's going to be that it's going to be disorderly conduct and it's going to be pressed with that. And then >> those three things. >> She told me she was going to like you're not >> I just like to conceal and carry and bring I'm not used to that. >> Again, you don't have to, but it's just why we like >> what I'm saying is I don't see so well, >> right? Sure. I can't see what >> Hannah's need for control was so strong that she was willing to use children's safety as leverage after being denied her request to turn the music back on. When her threats were aimed at innocent kids, her selfish nature was exposed for everyone to see. >> I don't. >> And then [snorts] sign your name after that one. >> It'll be okay, huh? [laughter] >> Just remember you I'm nuts me hanging out with you. I said, "How do you know I'm even with him?" Well, you're sitting by him. I said I'm sitting by Joy, too. And she was like, "You get that?" >> I said, "Really? I didn't know you knew me." >> She called you all the same name. She called me all of us. We were always It wouldn't have mattered what you said or who you were. >> Well, I mean, it was like >> But I I have never hit a female in my entire life. >> She was close. She would have slipped my face. >> She got right over here right in your face real close to you. I thought, "Oh, I turned around the uh I'm going to have to stick my hand over there and stop all this whole time." >> No, he wasn't cuz she spit one more time. >> My handwriting is not good either. >> Me neither. Cuz I'm used to taking orders that I write where I can understand. My handwriting is not. >> But anyway, get her out here and keep her. >> When she threatened my kids, I'm like, "No, I'm done. I'm done." >> I'll your kids. >> She started naming them all. That's awful. >> I know. She named my kids right off. >> Yeah, she knows your kids apparently. >> Did you put that in there? >> No. >> She probably could put that in there. And she named your kids. >> She was going to heard >> and she said she goes and so and so. It was like she just took it made my heart pound. >> She started start going to start people. Then I was like, "Okay, I'm getting a little bit worried now. Now look at me." It's like >> I think be going to jail. She'd be going to the hospital. >> Like what? No, we went in the hell. >> I thought I was going to poke her anyway. >> No, >> you told me not to. >> Yeah. What did she say about get some real glasses? Like I mean all the time. >> What's wrong with my glasses? >> You sign there. >> Yeah. >> After gathering all the evidence and witness statements, Anna was taken into custody and transported to the Chipoa [music] County Jail. The court later found her guilty of two counts of assaulting or threatening a police officer and one count of spitting bodily fluids at a public safety employee. As a repeat offender, she was sentenced to 3 years of probation. Will that journey be enough for someone like Anna to finally look in the mirror and take responsibility? And just as the price of anger became clear, another downward spiral was already beginning. On June 7th, 2023, police were dispatched for a welfare check after reports of a woman carrying her young child, knocking on strangers doors, and speaking in a confused, unsettling way. As her behavior became more erratic, concerns for both her safety and her child's safety grew urgent. >> She's been running around alleyways banging on people's doors. >> Don't even Who is she? Dad, come in the house. Come in the house. >> Come here and talk to me. There's a reason I'm here. >> Okay. >> Okay. Have a seat. Okay. >> Watch your little one. Okay. Okay. >> Show me. Get your ID card. Chelsea. Leave the door open. Please get your ID card. >> You want me out there? >> You can step. >> Okay. >> I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. >> It got it. You got your milk. Okay. ID card, Chelsea. >> So, we know who you are. My ID. >> Yep. Is it in my name is Chelsea? Okay. >> Okay. And the Zion is real. It's >> In many welfare checks, people in psychological crises lean on religion or high-tech theories to explain their confusion. But when words can no longer hide reality, the truth comes out plain and cold through something as simple as an ID card. >> I have all this and this is my ID. >> Wait, what's your first name? Chelsea. How do you How do you spell it? >> No. No. >> Is this? >> Yeah. >> No, that's >> try. Chelsea, when were you born? >> 221 status >> 1989. >> We're okay for now. >> Honey, >> got it. Okay, thank you. >> Right. People experiencing psychosis often become overly sensitive to light and sound, causing routine police procedures to feel like personal attacks. And when the baby was separated from her arms, harsh reality finally hit. There was no escaping it. >> Grandpa, here. >> Let's go to the bathroom. >> We just got to talk to your mom real quick. >> Okay, you got to >> You're not going to put me under. >> Just >> No, Dad. >> Do you see that right now? >> No. They're not putting you under Chelsea. >> Yes, they are. >> No, they're not going to put you under. >> Chelsea, we're not going to do that. >> Yes, they are. That was the moment reality turned its back. There was no way out. >> Yeah. I'll stop. >> What are you trying to do? >> NOTHING. >> YOU'RE NOT GOING TO win this. >> I'M NOT GOING TO WIN. >> YES. >> NO. >> Stop it. >> I'M NOT GOING TO WIN. She wanted the world to see how badly she was being treated. Many people in mental distress believe cameras will restrain officers or create proof to turn themselves into victims. >> I promise that I don't SWEAR IN GOD'S NAME OF PAIN. I NEVER DO. >> I NEVER DO. >> Take a seat. >> Take a seat. >> You're doing good. Good job. Good job. >> No. >> Take a seat. Please. >> Please take a seat. >> Take a seat, Chelsea. Thank you. I >> So, this is normal behavior for you? >> No, this is not normal behavior for me. >> What is causing this behavior? >> I don't know. My house. I feel like my house is. >> Huh? >> This isn't my house either. She was later taken to the hospital for evaluation and tried to run but couldn't escape the law. In the end, she was booked into jail and charged with resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. After entering a no [music] contest plea, she was found guilty and ordered to pay a total fine of $500. Before this tragedy could even close, alcohol pulled someone else into another downward spiral. On February 6th, 2025, police were dispatched to a residential area in Round Rock, Texas, after reports of a woman stumbling and falling into the roadway. Her behavior created a serious traffic hazard and raised major concerns about public safety. >> Hello. Hey, man. I kind of read through what what you were saying, so let me talk to her real quick. Hey, ma'am. Officer [ __ ] Rock Police Department. How are you? >> I'm okay. >> You're okay? So, what's going on? >> What are you doing? >> I'm coming to check on you. >> What do you mean by that? >> Well, we got a call that you were walking on the roadway, falling down. >> What's going on today? >> What do you mean? >> Where do you live? >> Who said that? >> Right here. >> Some random person said I was falling down. >> Yeah. >> Really? >> Mhm. >> Some random person. >> Okay. Well, I mean, you're slurring your words and you're swaying. Sir, did some random Why are you coming at me, sir? >> I'd like to know. >> Where do you live? >> Close. >> Have you been drinking? >> Sir, what is your prerogative? >> What's my prerogative to check your welfare? >> Hold on. >> Do you have ID? >> Oh, you okay? >> So, I don't appreciate that. >> Appreciate what >> you holding me. You were about to fall over. >> Am I hurting somebody? >> Is there anything going on? >> No. Here, have a seat for me. >> Is there anything going on, sir? >> Yes. You're intoxicated and you're in public and you're falling down. >> No, sir. >> Do you have ID on you? >> I do, sir. >> Can I see it? >> Sir, I'm not doing anything. >> Can I have your ID? >> For what? >> Because you're committing a crime right now. Okay. >> No, I'm not. >> Yes, you are. I'm standing outside this vehicle. A vehicle that you are in. >> This was a familiar pattern of control-seeking behavior, even while causing a disturbance in public. Her constant questioning of officers was a way to grab psychological leverage and cover up her anxiety. Instead of looking at her own unsteady steps, she focused on criticizing the badge in front of her. >> Do you have your vehicle and your ID on you? >> Hey, you're not listening to me. You're clearly intoxicated. I asked you nicely, sir. Uh, my hair's everything. I have a chewies right here. >> You have a Chewies? >> Yeah. >> So, you're not going to give me your ID? >> What are you being? Excuse me, sir. >> Can I have your ID? >> Why do you need it, sir? >> Cuz I need to figure out where you live >> and then >> and then we'll go from there. >> Okay, sir. >> Okay. >> But at the fact of the matter is, uh, that's a Chewy bar. >> Okay, that's good. I want to go poop. >> Okay. >> You think it's funny, but I like funny story. You know, it sucks with me, but I got to take [ __ ] Okay. >> Okay. >> So, like I got to do it now. >> Okay. >> And my friend's going to help me out. >> Your friend? Who's your friend? >> Not someone that needs to be like, "Oh, so my friend needs to take Sir." >> Okay. Can I have that ID? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yes, sir. Abso fuckingutely, sir. >> Okay. >> And then what? And then what, sir? And then what, sir? >> And then what? >> When I give you the ID, what happens, sir? >> I'm going to look at it. >> Okay. And then what happens? >> And then I talk to you some more. >> Why? >> You don't have your ID. >> I do. >> Can I have it? >> Yeah, you do. You got it. And then >> And then >> you ain't going to >> No. Sir, >> turn around. Hey. No. No. You're hurting me, too. >> Turn around. >> Ow. Ow. Ow. >> Hey, I'm sir. >> Turn around. >> Ow. That's a credit card. >> Okay. Find it. >> When excuses stopped working, aggression took over. She wasn't really fighting the officer. She was fighting the consequences she didn't want to face. After being handcuffed, she began crying and shouting to the crowd, trying to build a story of being treated unfairly. >> Ow. Ow. Ow. Mother. Ow. Ow. I love it. >> Can you hurry up? >> Sure. SURE CAN. >> Lean forward. >> Ow. >> Hurry up. >> Stop. Ow. You're hurting me. >> Thank you for bringing my attention. It wasn't tight enough. >> It's hurt. >> Okay. Twisting your wrist. This is why it's hurting. >> Why, sir? >> Cuz you're drunk in public. Just cut it off >> or just uncover and get one. Whichever one you feel like. >> You don't need more than that. Sir, >> here. I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. I'm still not doing anything. I still haven't done anything. >> The moment the cuffs went on, the arrogant mask fell away and was replaced by the role of abused victim. The most ironic part came when she was allowed to make a phone call. She used it to spread toxic accusations trying to reshape the narrative in her favor. He >> came to search me. He said I'm in Round Rock. >> Hi, Neil. >> I can't, sir. >> You can't look through there? >> I can't see it, sir. >> You don't see the me? >> I cannot see that, sir. >> I'm so sorry. >> You're going to GIVE ME MY STUFF, SIR? OH, >> she was fine. >> Yeah, I I spent time trying to talk to her before you got here, but didn't like she was doing that and I was like, "No, come here. >> I feel sorry for you." >> That's going to be a very loud drive. >> All right. Appreciate you. >> Always a good way to start the shift. >> The tough exterior slowly faded, giving way to visible anxiety. She began offering late compliments, hoping to soften the situation. But justice isn't built on flattery. It runs on truth and personal responsibility. >> Where's my Where's the >> Here, go ahead and step out. Okay. >> Are you talking about Who are you talking to? >> Nobody. Can you step out? >> Who are you talking to? >> I'm not talking to anybody. I can't remember. >> I know she's on bonds for she's been helping the respondent and the >> Yeah. for family violence. >> In the end, the woman was arrested and charged with public intoxication. If convicted, she could face fines of up to $1,000. What do you think about her paranoid reactions inside the patrol car? Do you feel the legal system is too lenient on cases involving disruptive public intoxication like this? On December 18th, 2024 in Florida, a panicked mother dialed 911 after stopping her [music] car right in the middle of the road, blocking traffic. She swore someone was following her and begged police to escort her to safety. But when officers showed up, what happened next was nothing like anyone [music] expected. >> What's your badge number? >> 89. Are you okay? >> Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just asking I'm just asking you to tell you that I'm >> want to see your ID >> and I want to know if is on so I don't we're here you out of the >> you need to get We had to leave in a hurry. I'm not I'm not on drugs. I'm not >> I'm not saying anything. >> I'm just telling you I've been up for days because >> Okay. All of this now concerns me because I have kids. So I am asking you for your identification. >> Okay. And I will give it to you as soon as I ask you if you can escort me to to a battered women's shelter. >> I'll get you all the information. Now I'm asking you again. Now, now we're we're changing the Can I see your identification, please? >> No, you cannot right now. >> Okay. >> It's irrelevant. I need I I didn't give you consent to open my door >> right now. You're being detained because I'm I'm >> You have to have the right to. >> I have no probable cause. >> 89 to 43. >> You have no probable cause. >> I'm going to pattern women's shelter >> and I need to see your identification. I'm trying to get you all the information for you, but I don't know who I'm talking to. >> Why does it matter? >> Because it does matter. Because I don't know if you're off to help, right? >> If I'm what you if I have a warrant? >> I don't know. >> I don't. >> Okay, you're saying that, but now >> you can run the place if you want to. There everything's legal. >> So, you don't have a license. So, I'm not escorting you anywhere. Now, now you don't have a license. >> I never said that. >> Let me see your driver's license if I'm escorting you anywhere. You have you have kids in the car and you're driving. Where's your driving license? >> My pars and I was not driving when I have kids. >> She called the cops for help yet fought them at every turn. When asked for her ID, she flat out refused. Instead, she demanded their badge numbers and questioned their motives. To make matters worse, there were kids sitting inside that car. Officers grew concerned, and the tension kept climbing as she dug her heels in and refused to cooperate. I don't know why you're looking at me like I I did something wrong. >> I'm not saying you did. Why are you so guilty? >> I'm not saying you did anything wrong. >> I'm I'm in a severe situation. >> Okay. So then So when when we're here to help you, why don't you oblige and so let us help you. I don't understand why you're >> asking for my ID and and cutting me off when I'm in the middle of telling you my story. Why? >> Because I want to know who I'm talking to because you >> and I want to know who I'm talking to. And I I've already given you my name and my badge number. >> Okay. So, can I finish my story before I give you my license? >> We're not playing this game >> from here. I just >> Okay. But this isn't NASA. This is a city. >> Coco Beach Island. >> NASA Police Department has their own police. >> Okay. >> I have rights. >> I'm not saying you don't. >> I didn't do anything wrong. I just asked for assistance. But but you're concerning me now and you have kids in the car and this is concerning me. >> What is wrong with it? >> Because you don't know where you are. You're asking us if we work for NASA. You're all over the place. >> No, I'm not. I'm >> I wanted to get you out of the middle of the road because there's I'm in the middle of the road. >> You are in the middle of the road, miss. That's the stop mark. >> I pulled up slightly because the car that was behind me has been following me. And so >> those are a couple of kids. They're going back to work. How do you know them? >> Because I talked to them. >> Okay, ma'am. Now, >> because they're Okay, >> your ID, please. >> You know them, right? I Okay, you come at it. You came at me with an attitude when I'm trying to explain my situation. >> No, I asked you for your identification so we can move off to the side of the road. >> So, we're out in the middle of the road. >> I'm legal. >> You're not go You're not going anywhere. >> I was parked on a side street right now. You're in the road. I'm not in the road. >> What do you call this? This is a road. This is a road. This is the side. >> This is a side street. I'm not in the middle of the road. We can come back. We can go back and forth. You know what? >> I'm calling my lawyer. >> The woman insisted she'd broken no law. But parking smack in the middle of the street, that's a clear traffic violation. It gave police every legal reason to ask for her ID. Still, she lived in a reality of her own making, painting herself as the victim, the cops as the enemy. And she refused to comply with even the simplest requests. >> Put your seatelt on. Put your seatelt on because now we're leaving. >> You're not going anywhere, ma'am. >> You don't have the RIGHT YOU DON'T HAVE >> YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. YOU'RE not going anywhere. >> Your body cam's on, right? >> Yes, it is, ma'am. >> Yep. And I'm and I'm going to uh record you too because I know my citizens right claw and I know that you're being very suspicious and combative with me and you won't even listen to my story. >> I'm trying to listen to you. >> How if I say I need to go to a domestic violence shelter, wouldn't you want to be concerned for >> Yes, but now but you're off. >> You need to know who I am and cut me off and then say, "Has she anything to >> We just want to know who we're talking to is all. You're not. So up until this point, you're not in any trouble or anything. >> But he the his approach and the way he came at me >> is that I broke the law. They were looking at the puppy. >> How old are you, little one? >> You don't have to answer him. >> How old are you? >> Three. Three. >> I'm a responsible mother. >> She's 10. >> I had to leave the house. >> 10. >> I had to leave the house, please. >> Okay. I'm not saying you didn't. You called us to help you. We came here. >> Put 20 20 cars. What you doing? >> We came here to help you. >> You need this many people to escort someone >> right now. It's not an escort. >> You're acting. >> We want to find out what's going on. >> All of this is because you're acting erratically. We're trying to figure out what's going on and we can't help you because you're not cooperating with us. >> I I'm not I wasn't even erratic. I said people are following me. I'm not being delusional. I'm not on drugs. I'm not >> Okay. I haven't had sleep but I >> and and you were talking about the blue car that was behind you, right? Or blue green car. >> They've been following me in circles. They live in in But you interrogating me, right? >> We're trying to figure out what's going on. >> So you thought that I was them? >> No. >> So what? So you must know them then. >> Sorry. >> Okay. >> I don't I This is irrelevant. I'm calling my lawyer because I haven't broken the law. I asked for your assistance and now you're you're trying to pin things something on me that I haven't done. >> She kept throwing around constitutional rights as her shield. But in practice, those rights don't excuse you from a lawful investigation, especially not when children are in the mix and the violation is plain as day. Her arguments fell flat, exposing a fragile defense built on denial. >> I'm free to go because No. >> No, you're not free to go. >> Yes, I am. >> No, you're not. you. Yes, I am. Cuz I haven't broken any laws. >> You're not afraid to go. >> Yes, I am. Now, yes, >> I want to drive, >> baby. >> I know you want to drive right now. But listen, >> can you get please get in the seat belt and then we go get lollipops. Okay. Please, cuz mommy mommy can get in trouble when you don't have your seat belt on. Okay. >> Yeah. So, I'm going >> No, you're not going anywhere. >> You don't have the right to miss. You have no problem. You're not driving. >> You have no problem with us. >> I'm not car seat. >> We didn't see any kids in the car seats when we pulled. >> No, no, no, no. Step out of the car seat. No, no. You are not >> I didn't do anything. I'm not on the roadway. >> You are literally in the middle of an intersection. >> Stop. >> You got your around. >> I'm going to tell my lawyer YOU WON'T HAVE EVEN >> You have no problem. You have no problem. >> I ASK YOU TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. You can get out of the vehicle and start. YOU GUYS I asked >> You're You're breaking the law. >> No, I'm not, man. >> Yes, you are. >> I have rights as a citizen. >> And you don't have the right to resist. >> You're doing it right. I didn't even resist. >> And then we had problem caused basically kids not being in this car seat as >> I WAS NOT DRIVING THE CAR was not in the >> Then came the physical struggle screaming resisting even trying to run. She refused to face the truth. Her actions had real legal consequences. At that point officers had no choice but to use force. They pulled her out of the car and placed her in handcuffs to get the situation under control. I guess you guys know who she is, huh? >> Have a seat. Have a seat. Have a seat. >> You guys sit down. Yeah. Okay. >> Sit down. Have a seat. Have a seat. Please. Listen. Don't make it harder for yourself. Just have a seat. I'm not you. You're going to make you guys are going to >> stop over me when I'm talking. You're not >> I didn't break the law. I'm a citizen of the United States. >> Have a seat while we figure out what's going on. You're going to get sprayed. Just have a seat. >> That's the That's the right car. >> I didn't even do anything to you. Tell what's going on. >> Huh? >> What's going on? >> What's going on? >> Yeah. >> You're going to jail. >> That's if you say so. I'm not going to argue. That's what court's for. >> Excuse me. >> That's what court is for. >> I'm not going to. >> And there's no statement. There's no >> Hey, you're not going to reach >> probable father. >> You can't take me to jail. County Jail. Ma'am, >> Boulevard County Jails, which is a violation. You are not parked and you are impeding the flow of traffic. >> There was a car behind you that was trying to get around you. You're you're in the middle of the road impeding the flow of traffic. >> The road would be in the middle of this main road. I was on the side road on the public side of the road to a woman because my phone doesn't work. >> This all could have been avoided. >> Yeah, if you would have communicated a little bit better. I I tried my best. You did not want to listen to a word I had to say. >> Is this a prison >> or a county jail? >> Tony. >> So, how did you legally arrest me on that alone? >> Because it's a misdemeanor. Resisting. >> I didn't bring that. >> You did, ma'am. You didn't give me your ID. You failed to identify. >> I didn't I don't have to. I didn't do it. >> You were in the middle. Okay. We're We're going over and over this like like it's a margo round like we're at the circus. >> No, actually it's not that simple. >> You were in a car. >> I was in a car >> on the roadway a side street in the city of Cocoa Beach. >> Yes. >> With children in the car. A car that engine was run. No, the car was running. >> It's called standing >> and it was not moving. >> Standing in the middle of the road. You're impeding the flow of traffic. Now that's my probable cause to identify you to write you a citation. In the end, she was taken to jail, charged with two counts of resisting an officer without violence, obstructing traffic, [music] failing to obey road rules, and violating child safety seat laws. She posted a $1,000 bond and was later released. At court, she plead guilty to several charges and walked away with $45 in fines. On February 16th, 2025 down in Florida, police got a call after a witness spotted a little kid locked inside a car. At first, it looked like just another dangerous situation that needed fast [music] action. But the truth that unfolded right after, nobody saw that twist coming. >> See if I can't get >> Hi, how are you? Can you open the door for me? Mommy's coming out. She said open the door. Can you open the door for me? She's coming out right now. Thank you, baby. Uhoh. It's a home. Mom, where is the mom? >> I don't know where the mom is. >> She's okay though, right? >> Yeah. Are you able to call her like on a PA to the front? Christine. Christine, if you can come to the front, please. All right. Let's just [ __ ] around. She's in there. Did Did you ask her if she could come out? >> Yeah, I asked her if her name was Christine. She said, "Yeah." And I told her to come out and she said, "Okay." But she was just showering, so I don't know. >> Yeah, she's in there. >> Yeah. It says she was showering, but she's coming out. Should we talk? >> Okay. >> Is my daughter okay? >> Well, let's talk over here. >> Okay. >> She's okay now that the car is open. >> Oh, I literally went in there for like 5 10 minutes. >> Okay. Well, other people have said otherwise. Okay, >> even 5 10 minutes, that's fine. What if something happens to you in the gym? >> Oh my god, you scared me. I thought something happened to my daughter. That's all I cared about. I almost >> If you cared about it, then you wouldn't leave her in a car off. >> Oh my god. I thought it was like 15, 20 minutes she was sleeping and I was going to come right back out. You scared me. >> Do you have your driver's license with you? >> Um, it's all in the car. >> The car? >> No, not at all. I can actually show you a paycheck. >> Okay, >> I'm working. This This is like a mistake. That's why I was scared. I'm like, let me run out. I can show you my paycheck. >> Okay, I'm fine. >> Okay, I can literally pull it out and show you. She's been in here for 2 hours. >> Okay. Can you Is there like Can I see it on the computer? She said she's been in here for 15 minutes. >> 71 hours. >> 2 hours. She said she'd been here 15 minutes >> from the very beginning. And Christina's story didn't add up. First, she said she was in the gym for only 5 to 10 minutes. Then, suddenly, it turned into 15 to 20. And showing up from the locker room, that was proof she'd been hanging around a lot longer than she first admitted. Her story started cracking right away. >> What was your name, ma'am? >> Christina. >> Christina. Do you want to go to jail for child abuse, or do you want to tell us the truth right now? >> I'm definitely telling you the truth. >> You checked in the gym at 7:27 this morning. >> Do you know what time it is now? If you ask her, I came back out. I went >> It's 9:00. You've been You've been here for almost 2 hours. >> I I will tell you. I'm telling you the truth. I walked back out. I >> Okay. Regardless, she was still in the car >> for like 15 20 minutes. Yes. I That's true. >> Okay. >> But I can literally tell you I walked out. I >> All right. Let's go get your driver's license and uh we'll go from there >> and I can show you my paycheck and everything. >> You feel better. We'll see you later. >> Thank you guys. I appreciate it. >> All right. No problem. >> And I'm so sorry. I know you guys hate me right now, but I promise it's a mistake. >> Can you give my partner your ID? >> Yeah. And you can call her. They came to help me with my car. I literally And you and I literally had a flat. >> I'm not worried about your vehicle right now. Put your bag on the hood. >> My god. >> Yes. Let's step over here to the front. So, do you want to tell me what's going on then? >> It's the It's the honest. I wish you would believe me. I promise you. I can show you the text method my And I think you can even go to the tire shop. Can I tell you what happened and then you can kind of see if I'm if I'm guilty or not? >> I'll hear you out. Let's start with this. >> What time did you wake up this morning? >> I woke up this morning probably like around 6 something going on 7 because and I'll tell you I'm trying to tell you. I have proof. Okay. >> You woke up at 7:00 and then what? >> I called to see if there's a nearest gym. So I normally go to the gym. I do a good workout and then I driving back. The reason why we're here I have proof. I'm trying to tell you kindly my car. We got a flag. I'm glad I weren't on 95. I want you to think I'm a liar. I My daughter's the most important thing to me in my life and I've never done anything wrong. >> Says otherwise and I don't want you to feel like I'm the right thing. I don't even think she's a happy child. She's not like my daughter. She doesn't even know what's going on. She's never been around a cop before and that's how I found >> over and over. She kept saying my daughter is my whole world. trying to paint herself as a loving mom who just slipped up. She wanted the cops to buy that this was just a harmless mistake. Then she kept tossing in that tire excuse like repeating it would somehow make her lies sound more believable. >> I don't have the um flat tire that blew out. So this this tire that was switched out >> again. >> Oh, I just >> That has nothing to do with anything right now. >> I'm just telling this has never happened. I'm trying to say that was the reason why we're here. It's tired. >> So, the reason you're here is because you were taking a shower and working out >> because of the tire. >> Do me a favor. We can hang out over here so my partner can talk to her. >> Yeah. Yeah. But we can make sure she's okay. >> She's okay. >> Did you Did you think about if she was okay when you left her in the car by herself when you went to work out >> for the first time? I didn't think >> you can hang out. You can hang out over here. She's fine with us. >> Bye, Miss Christine. Let me talk to you without your daughter. Okay. Let's go over here. >> So, I'll ask you again. >> Where were you last night? >> I was Oh my god. Can I show you my phone? Is would it be easier if I show you my phone and the my you got off work at what time last night? >> I got off of work probably around 8 or 9. >> Okay. So then what were you doing driving at 11:00 at night? >> No, I was driving around 9 something from Fort Lauder Delta down there. The tire blew out around 10:00. a man named Moses at 5. What happened in between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. >> The time around I don't know what else you're talk I don't know. I'm not looking at the time. I'm telling you after work I drove around 9 to 9 something 910. >> What county and city are we in currently >> in Lake Worth? Right. Palm Beach. >> Where do you live? >> I live in Fort Lauderdale. My friend lives in Boon. >> Okay. >> So I drove to Palm Beach and the car stopped in in Palm Beach in Boon. >> Okay. That's that makes a little bit more sense. He's asking you, "Why are you over in this area?" And that's what my friend lives in Palm Beach. >> After your tire was fixed, then what happened? >> Then after that, we stayed at her house for a little bit. We came here. I drove. I said, "Let's go to Crunch Fitness." So, this is my first time here. She said, "Oh, we just opened December 31st." >> Can we go back for a second? Where did you Where did you spend the night last night? >> Last night after I went to her house, I stayed with them for a little bit and then after that around 5:00, we drove here. So, I wouldn't even say we slept because we were up with the tires the whole time. >> But the more questions they asked, the more she tripped over her own words. Simple details, where she was, how long she stayed. She couldn't get them straight. That shaky story showed a woman way out of her depth exposing the second real pressure hit. >> I came here, I came back out, I stayed with my daughter, and I went back. >> So, I'll say about 20, 25, 15. And then I >> check in the gym. You were in there for about 15 minutes, right? I was in the gym and I came back out. I stayed I stayed out probably like 30 40 minutes >> and then what >> and then I went back I went to the gym 15 25 15 minutes shower 10 minutes came back out and they're like are you Christine? I'm like yes and then that's like the >> So 15 minutes and then you came out for 30 minutes and then you went in there for another 20 minutes. So 30 + 20 is 50 minutes plus 15. >> I honest I honestly wasn't >> that's an hour and five about an hour and 5 minutes. No, I was I was in the gym for about 25 30 minutes and then I came out. I was >> saying in total >> in total about an hour and 5 minutes. You were checked in the gym for almost 2 hours. So what happened to the other hour that we're missing right now? >> When I came back out, I came back outside because my daughter was sleeping. So I had to make sure she was okay. So I came back outside. I stayed. She was still sleeping. And then I spent time with her and I'm like, "Okay, let me work out for a little bit. Maybe you'll be up after." And then I think and then that's when you guys see, >> right? But I think like your 15 20 minutes is probably a little bit longer based on the fact that you were here for >> I'd say 15. I was working out 20 minutes >> over you to jail today. >> Thank you. I appreciate it. >> Okay. >> Very very much. >> It's not a there for a thank you or anything like that. >> I know. I know. I'm so sorry. >> Um what I am going to do is I'm going to make a report. This isn't the first time that you've left your daughter unattended in the car while you're in the gym. Okay? Just hear me out. Just just hear me out. Okay? I don't need the stories anymore. I'm going to notify DCF. They're going to pay a visit to you at your house. Check on the welfare of your child. Okay. Do not let this happen again cuz now that it's on record, I guarantee you would be going to jail next time. >> Okay. >> Do you mind calling your father to have him come pick up your child so we do not have to give her a DC? >> Can you tell me why? >> Because you left her unattended in the car with it off. >> But I literally I literally I went in there for like 25 30 minutes. >> Regardless, it could be 5 seconds. Can you guys literally like see the tire that blew out? Can you stop? >> The tire has nothing to do with this. Nothing to do with this. You understand that, right? >> For a moment, it almost looked like she was going to skate. At first, the cops didn't cuff her. But after talking with their higherups, reality set back in. Leaving a kid trapped in a car isn't some oops moment. It's a dangerous call she made. Add her lies and her brushoff attitude, and the officers had no choice but to step in. >> You want me to try to call him? Please >> face the >> Please don't do this. Can I Okay, let me I'll call my dad. >> Okay, I'm going to take care of that. I'm going to have you on speaker. Okay, stop. >> Do not do that. >> Just let me call my dad. Let me call my dad. Let me just let >> Okay, we'll call him in a little bit. Okay, right now that's not going to happen. >> Please let me call my dad so my daughter is safe. At least I can call her grandmother or something. Please >> just take a seat. >> Can I at least call her grandmother? >> Take a seat. I don't want your child to see. I don't think I'm I might faint. Can you please let me talk? >> Take a seat. I don't want your child to see. >> Keep drawing. She's okay. They're just talking. They're just talking. >> He just has to speak to her in the car. >> The seat. >> Take a seat. >> Gabby. Mommy is Mommy. She's going to come. >> I just called him twice. He didn't answer. >> Tommy's fine. We're not going anywhere. Okay. We're just hanging out. All right. Dear doctor, >> we can call a fire truck for you. It's not going to change anything, though. >> I think you might have to. I'm not I'm really >> Your daughter's going to be here by herself with him >> cuz somebody You're not coming out. >> Please don't hurt her. >> You're not coming out of those. Why would we hurt her? Why would we hurt her? This is the example you're trying to set for your daughter right now. Like, we're the bad people. You're the one that left her unattended for 2 hours in a car. We are not the bad people here. All right? So, don't try to don't try to pin us to be that in front of her. She's going to jail right now for a child. Okay. >> She I don't know why, but she's having a hard time understanding of the totality of the circumstances of what she did wrong. Okay. That's neither here nor there. Her story is just very very inconsistent of what's happened from yesterday until the moment we met her. Okay. I don't know what's going on. It's none of my business. My concern is her child. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, I appreciate you coming out here and taking the best of your child. Um, let's see if she wants to talk to you. I'm sure she will. >> The whole reason you're handcuffs has nothing to do with your tire being blown out. It has to do with your decision of leaving your kid in the car unattended. Does that make sense to you now? >> I'm so sorry. >> I did take a little bit of look at your record. You've had, you know, quite a few traffic infractions. It's not a big deal, but some of them are not seat belting your child. Okay. I've seen all up and down the state of Florida. You got to make sure that you're making smart decisions for your your little girl cuz again, you're her mom, right? You're you're in charge of her. The rescues here and they're going to check you out. Okay. >> She was hauled off to jail facing serious child neglect charges. And in Florida, that's no joke. We're talking jail time, probation, mandatory parenting classes. She could even lose custody of her daughter. Now, it's all up to the judge. But the risk she took that day might cost her everything.
