Don't you put your hands on me. I think you can work for me. >> When reckless egos crash head first into the law, chaos doesn't knock. It kicks the door down. >> You're out of the car. >> The is wrong with you. And if you put my car on this thing, I'mma beat your ass. Now, >> a drunk teen with a gun, a woman swinging at a cop. One bad decision spirals into total collapse. >> Somebody can bring it down. THAT'S WHY I PUNCHED YOU IN THE FACE, >> OH MY GOD. OH MY GOODNESS. >> And in the wreckage, the loudest voice screaming injustice is the one who lit the match. On August 31st, 2023, what started as a simple traffic stop over an expired license plate turned into an all-out confrontation. A woman resisted arrest, then suddenly attacked the officer with a pen. And that was just the beginning. >> Have a picture because I damaged my laptop. >> That's missing all the numbers from here over. >> Well, I have right now. I'll go back to the house. >> I don't have a lot of good news for you. Um, they want to they want your tag back as well, so I have to take that. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Whatever you got to do. >> Yeah. >> So, give me a give me a second to take the tag off and then we'll come back up here. I'll get you out of here. Okay. >> I'll take it off if you see me. >> I got it. >> No, pardon me. >> Please go have a seat. >> It's my car. I'll take it off. I did not ask you to get out of the car. >> Why are you putting your hands on me? >> I did not ask you to get out. Have a seat. >> I can get out of the car if I need to. >> I'm literally taking >> This is the last time I'm going to ask you have a seat. >> I'm trying to get someone out of the car. >> Yeah. >> Why are YOU >> Don't you put your hands on me. Get your hands off of Get your Get your hands off of me. I do not know you. >> Get your HANDS OFF OF ME. I DON'T I DRAGGING YOU. I'M TRYING TO GET MY LET ME GO. PUT MY FOOT DOWN. >> AT FIRST, the suspect played it cool, acting cooperative, even offering to remove the plate herself. But it was all an act. Within seconds, a routine citation turned criminal. Though not caught on body cam, the report says she slapped the officer's window, injuring him, then grabbed his radio and tried to stab him with a pen. Who's that? >> I can't breathe. >> Don't do that. >> I'm trying to say I >> don't do that. >> I just said hospital cuz I couldn't >> I can't breathe. >> I'm sorry. I can't touch. I was pregnant a couple days ago. >> Can you are an unkind person? I trust that I will help you take off the tag off of my car. >> You're a kind racist ma'am. 94 >> in the gas station parking lot. >> He's bleeding. >> You did the ground now. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> On the ground. DUMP HER. >> WHY ARE YOU PUTTING me on the ground? >> In the car. I'm freaking out in my stomach. >> Hands back to back now. >> Hey guys, >> it's okay. Everything's going to be all right, guys. Okay. >> I don't want to put my weight on my stomach. >> Okay, give me this one and then we'll try. The ground is I'm trying to get out of my >> Sir, is there any weapons in the car? >> Do you have any weapons on you? >> Yeah. I'm just going to tie you down real quick so you can deal with the kids. >> Stop it. >> This wasn't just a traffic stop anymore. It became a violent assault. And worse, it all happened right in front of her children. Police had to interview witnesses to piece together the full picture and assess how dangerous things really got. The >> officer had her by the leg. She was hopping. He was telling her to get down. He told her to get down once, but then as I got closer, I could see he appeared to be in distress. He was bleeding from two to three areas on his face. >> Okay. She looked at me. I looked at her and I'm like, "And what did you do?" >> Yeah. >> Get down. >> Tighten it up. >> Okay. Tighten it, please. Please take me out. >> Take back. >> OKAY. PLEASE. >> ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO POK or stick me? >> No. I just got I just got paid. I'm a better I'm better. >> All right. Hit the kids so I don't have to listen to this. Okay. >> They're scared. >> I know. I get it. I get it. >> We had a spire tag. We got fix the car. Go pay the tag stuff. >> I got you, man. I got you. >> And I told her, "Let the officer take the tag." I said, "Let the officer take the tag off." >> And all of a sudden, she started struggling. She reached for the officer and took the pen out. >> Okay. Wow. >> Put it to her right hand. My impression was she was going to use as a weapon and stab him. >> Okay. >> In the face of the neck. That's what I thought. >> Yeah. Okay. >> And I I I screamed at her, got her attention. I reached over and took it from her. >> Awesome. Thank you for doing that. >> And that's when all the >> police arrived. Thank you so much for what you did. Yes, sir. >> You're not going to get enough credit for it, but you know, just know you did an awesome thing for us. So, um, thank you. >> Yes, sir. All right. >> I promise I won't even breath. >> Take a breath. >> Take a breath. >> Take a breath. We're going to set you up. Okay. >> Can you please help me up, >> please? >> I promise you I won't move. >> She's just Jamaican and crazy. I told her I said, "Let the officer take the tag off the car." She said, "She wanted to take it." I said, "No, let him take it off. I'm military. Let him take the damn tag off." >> She driving the car. I said, "I don't know what's going on." So, you She was the driver. Okay. >> No. I said, "Let's take a Uber." >> Do you have anything illegal on you to try to cut me sticking apart? No. Hold on. Can I please get my phone? >> One witness, brave and quick thinking, snatched the pen out of her hand, likely preventing something much worse. Even after being restrained, the woman kept screaming and refused to cooperate, still trying to control the situation. $2. >> You don't have anything in your bra? >> Just the underliner. >> It's unhooked in the front. >> It's unhooked in the front. >> Okay. >> Okay. Well, you have something up in your bra. I just can't see what it is cuz it's sticking out. So, when we get you in the cruiser, >> we'll look. Sorry. >> What do you have up in your bra? >> What do you have up in your bra? >> I don't It's part of the It's a front attachment, bro. >> It's just told her to let the man take the tag off. I said, "Baby, let him take the tag off. It's a tag. We going to pay the fines and you can get another one." >> She said, "I don't want to take it off." She's a girl. >> That has nothing to do with it. >> I know. I told her, "Don't get out of the car. I I'm military, sir." >> Yes, sir. I can understand that. We appreciate it. >> Ma'am, you're leaning away from us. I'm sorry. >> Watching my car. You're going to turn around. You're going to sit down and you're going to face me. >> You want me to turn this way first? >> Turn around. Face me. >> Okay. >> Sit. Thank you. >> Okay. >> Now, I can see you have something in your bra. So, you're going to keep facing me. >> Okay. >> And I'm going to unmove your bra and just see if it's just the front clasp that's undone. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> It's just the front clasp. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, while you were struggling, it came undone. >> Is that true? >> There's nothing in my hair, miss. Okay. Well, we got you. Go ahead and put your feet in. Okay. Put your feet in for me, please. Hold on. I will ask you one more time and put your feet in. Thank you. >> Officers placed her in the patrol car while another officer calmed her children and reassured the witness that she'd be transferred to a different unit. Meanwhile, they discussed possible charges, including child endangerment, since the violence unfolded right in front of her kids. >> And this is trigger shows you. >> You okay? >> Yeah, I saw him falling. They're going to put her in my car here, but then they walk to a different car. This one's mine. >> Why is the yellow take up officer? >> Uh, military. >> They might just be making sure nobody's coming into the parking lot is my guess. I I don't know. But I mean, you heard her screaming. I didn't hear them call. They might They'll probably get a rescue truck down here to check her out if anything happened to her. I said I I didn't hear. I got here after the fact kind of. >> But now it's kind of the point where everything's now it's calmed down. So, everybody's going to figure out what's going on. End of the day, just >> nobody's dead or anything. >> Just went to the park with the kids, >> right? >> I said, "Baby, go pay get the toxic. Just go pay the rest of the fines and see how much the tag is, >> right?" Yeah, the fines are easy to replace. >> Bad deal, obviously. >> Oh, yeah. I'm sure. Yeah, probably. Well, I don't know if it's aggravated. >> I don't know what they >> I would charge her with um >> I don't know what the original >> I would charge her I would have to entertain neglect or child abuse, too. Doing that to the police in front of kids. The same as you're committing a violent crime, a felony with a children's present, you know. Is that hot? >> Is AC on? >> Yeah, it is. >> Okay. >> I just want to make sure cuz it is high. It' be much worse. >> So, there's going to be an officer that's going to meet us up here. She has more of your property. Um, so we're just going to hang tight for a minute until she meets us here. She's She's on her way. So maybe five 5ish 10 minutes. >> I didn't have any property. >> Not like a phone or anything. >> That was all in my car. >> Okay. Well, I like I said, she she has something. >> She was taken to jail and hit with a long list of serious charges. Battery on a peace officer. Aggravated battery on a peace officer. Resisting with violence. Resisting without violence, armed robbery for grabbing the radio, obstructing police communication, criminal mischief, child abuse, and driving with a suspended license. If convicted, she could face years behind bars and heavy fines. Charges involving assaulting officers usually carry harsher penalties than regular crimes. And child abuse that could cost her custody of her kids for good. When handcuffs can't restrain the ego, some suspects still [music] think they're in charge. On June 9th, 2025 in Illinois, a woman was ordered off a bus, but flat out refused. When police showed up, the argument [music] exploded, and out of nowhere, she pulled out pepper spray and blasted it straight at them. What unfolded after that chaotic moment shocked everyone. >> And I paid for a bus, a monthly bus pass. Just let me You're going back downtown anyway. Let me do your roundabout. He was like, "You can't stay on my bus." I said, "Okay, that's fine. when you get to your last stop, I'll get off the bus and I'll get back on. He told me to get off the bus and I got off the bus. I tried to get back on. He completely just left. And he could have just took me downtown. Like, why he make it so hard like that? >> He could have just took me downtown. >> Come up here. >> I hope I get murdered. >> You can't leave that. >> I don't give a [ __ ] I don't give a [ __ ] I paid for a monthly bus pass. >> You're not allowed to ride the bus today. You made threats towards the bus driver. You're not going to get on the bus. >> I don't want to get on the bus. >> Actually, work. >> You have to get off the property. >> Two hours back home. I missed work. >> Then walk. >> I don't care. >> You're not allowed on the property. >> Push it today. It's not my call. You made threats to me. I don't care. Arrest. I don't care. I'll get out in 4 hours. I don't give a [ __ ] >> You get out tomorrow, though. >> That's fine. I don't care. >> All right. Come here. Let's go to jail then. Leave me alone. >> You're out the property. Come back on. You go to jail. I'll make sure I tase you. >> You take up. Of course you take up for THAT WHITE RACIST WHO LEFT ME AS A BOSS. I NEVER START PROBLEMS up here. Get off here. I'm a hard. >> You come back today, you go to jail. Easy as that. >> You're ugly. properties here. Oh, baby. >> You're on the property. Get off. >> Get away from me. >> Trans one. From shouting matches to direct threats, her behavior quickly crossed the line into disturbing the peace, forcing police to step in. Asking her to leave was the reasonable move to deescalate. But the second she pulled that pepper spray, a civil dispute flipped into a full-blown felony assault on law enforcement. >> Come here, young lady. What happened? >> All right, come on over here. Put that on the car for me. >> Where's the mates at? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> What you got in here? >> What you got in here? >> I have my phone. >> Transit one. What's your exact location? >> Can I use >> I got I got >> I could just use an ambulance. >> Yep. That's what I need for >> you. I can't see. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. So, what's going to help is you guys got a bottle of water. >> Uh, no. Actually, I do. You want to hold on to her right here. run this around the corner to him. He's just on the other side of Als. >> Can you just wipe my face if you >> Well, we can wipe it cuz that's going to make it worse. >> I got some on my head and I was trying to wipe my tears. >> I get it. Okay. So, what I need you to do is turn your head to the side. >> It's not an emergency. It's fine. I can cover this before. >> All right. I'm going to rinse your face. Okay. >> 13. >> We're going to take you to jail. I don't care. We'll get there. Actually, let's have a seat on the curb here. >> All right. You want to tilt your head to the side? Want to start blinking? >> Even after being taken into custody, she stuck to the same story, claiming it was all self-defense. But body cam footage told a different tale. It was a clear attempt to dodge responsibility. Meanwhile, officers focused on tending to their injured partner and kept their professionalism even while staring down the woman who had just attacked them. >> All right, I tell you what. We're going to get you in the car then if you're good. >> All right. >> They they took her over. >> Yeah. Seat will roll down the window, get some air going. That was locked. Okay. >> Yeah, I'm good. >> You good? >> Yeah, she got to be in the eye. I mean, she got to be right in the right eye. >> All right, let's get you checked out, man. >> So, you need to get checked out. Let me take you up to the hospital. You want me to take you up there? >> I'm going to get checked out. I just got to get this out of my eyes. >> Were you [clears throat] here when I told Jared what she had done? >> No. >> Just basically she made some general threats towards the bus driver. It's okay now. >> They asked to have her removed for the day to come back tomorrow. So, I was talking to her about it and she got upset and eventually she was popping me with pepper spray for no reason. So, she was just mad at the situation. >> I got a towel. >> You got one? You got a towel? >> Thank you. >> I'm just paying you. >> All right. >> What's What's the school's name? >> I don't even know. I didn't I wasn't even going to go that far. She just told her really You just told her to get off the bus, leave. And >> yeah, she was just walking back and forth. I was talking to her. She get all upset. >> I told her, "Well, >> you made your bed. You laid in it. You can't come back today." >> Yeah. >> And then she got mad at me, said something and sprayed me. >> Anything I can do figure out, Ben? >> No. >> The right side's getting a little bit better. >> We got two little water bottles that we need. Oh, perfect. >> One officer explained that the attack came right after her heated fight with the bus driver. completely unprovoked. Even in holding she wouldn't back down, she kept making threats promising she'd be back. >> What's that? >> I said, "I'm coming back up here as soon as I get out of jail. I'm going to come back up here and I'mma finish I'mma finish what I would I didn't get a chance to do. [snorts] I don't care. 62 copy. Relocate with this female suspect at the house lot. They analyze me. So weird. >> Do you want us to uh let them handle the booking for whatever's going to go happen? I'll take you down the station. Get a shower or something. >> That's fine. >> Get the [ __ ] off you. >> Yeah. You need >> your car locked up. Secure here. >> Yeah, that's it's all good. Yeah, that's fine. >> All right, let's get you the station. Take care of the >> I got him. I got >> She was all upset. >> Hey, I'm going to take him down so we can shower the [ __ ] off. All right. All right. So, what do you got for her? Egg bad. >> Just a egg bad to me. >> What was the initial Well, it doesn't matter. You can cover the initial contact. >> Just May, I guess made some general threat off. >> Yeah, >> I get in the bathroom, take this [ __ ] off. >> I got >> wipe myself down. >> I got a uh I got a towel if need toss it afterwards if you want to dip your head in one of the showers and use the 11. Can you tell this Can you tell that supervisor? Excuse me. >> Can you tell that supervisor that her bus driver is going to get it when I get out of jail? Okay. I'll come back and I'll get arrested. I don't care. I have nothing to lose. That bus driver got me fired from my job. So, I have nothing. Literally, he can kill me. I don't give a [ __ ] I have nothing. And they're they're alwaysing with people. But when you with people who got [ __ ] to lose, I really do not give a I'm coming back. I swear to God, I'm coming back. >> I don't care. Nope. I'm coming back. I am coming back. I don't need medical. >> I'm fine. >> What's that? >> I don't need medical. I'm fine. >> Can we get a set of vitals on you? >> No. >> I guess she wasn't preper sprayed. I think she rubbed her eyes with her hands. >> I guess I'm going to flush out your eyes if you want. >> No, my eyes are fine. I had just a little bit in there cuz I wiped my tears. It's fine. I did a a quick flush. >> All right. >> She repeated her threats again and again, refused medical care, and denied the effects of her own pepper spray, desperate to stay in control and hide any sign of weakness. In her mind, violence was her right, and she wasn't about to accept the consequences. >> Apparently, you got a message for your arrest for intimidation, too. >> I don't give a >> You want to talk to me about it? >> No. How long we're going to sit here? >> Oh, no. I got to >> just book me in. You can just book me. I don't care. >> Yeah. >> Um, sounds like M. Davis, you got charges today for an accident on police. >> He was walking towards me. So, I'm claiming self-defense. >> And then you had a message for intimidation, which you don't care about. >> I don't care about that one. >> Okay. >> Speech. Tell that bus driver he's going to get it. >> Don't kick my car. >> I'm not kicking. I'm punching. I'm punching your car. >> He's going to tell that bus driver I will stop until he get that bus driver there. He's going to get it. >> Tell that bus driver that I'm coming back for him. That one right there. Bus three. Tell him that and I won't stop cuz he got me fired. Tell him that. >> Okay, you are banned. And I'm coming back and I don't care. >> I don't care. Then I'm coming back. >> I have nothing to lose. I'm coming back. >> Hey, stop doing it. >> Add another charge. I don't care. He needs to know. He needs to know. >> He can't hear you. >> You're going to [ __ ] get it. I hope you get murdered. You're going to [ __ ] get it. I hope someone murder your ass. You're going to [ __ ] get it. You got me fired. I hope you get murder. You're going to get it. I'm coming back for you. I swear to God. >> Stop kicking my car. >> I don't care. Arrest me for 33 [ __ ] years. I don't care. I have nothing. >> I don't. In the end, she was hauled off to jail, charged [music] with aggravated battery on a police officer, and with making criminal threats. If convicted, she's staring at up to 5 years behind bars and fines as high as $15,000. Her violent outbursts and threats after the arrest only make the punishment more severe. >> Okay, >> all right. >> Okay. On November 7th, 2024, a student caused chaos at school, refusing to follow directions and using highly inappropriate language. The school staff had no control left. Police had to step in. But when they arrived, things took a turn no one saw coming. >> Let's go. >> Then you can come back and do whatever you have to do. >> So, what am I going down here for? >> They're going to tell you. Thank you. It's a great decision. >> What am I going down here for? >> That's a great decision. You're the office. >> All right, y'all. Sorry. Let's go. >> Let's go. >> The wrong person. Let's go. >> I'm not You keep [ __ ] with me. What am I going down here for? >> Okay. For what? >> They don't have to give you >> For what? Come talk about it. >> Okay. Hello. Hello. Okay. Soon as I get to school, soon as I GET TO SCHOOL, the man around. Here you go. Go in the office. I'm like, I'm going to take my picture. He like, no, you're not doing that. So, I get in the room to take my picture. HE CALLED THE POLICE. EVERYBODY, CUZ I'M trying to GO IN THE OFFICE, TAKE MY PICTURE. I'M LIKE, I GO TO THE OFFICE. AND THEY MAD LIKE THEY GOING TO DO OFFICE NOW for what? But what? I still don't have a reason. WHY AM I HERE? >> NO one really knows why she kept slapping her leg every few seconds. It clearly wasn't about mosquitoes. At first, the officers kept their distance, but her attitude and the way she spoke made it crystal clear. She had no intention of cooperating. She kept demanding answers and pushing for explanations. And when none came, things spiraled fast. >> So, we just sing the silence. Can I go take my pictures? Y'all just stay in here. >> You're not taking your pictures. >> Well, >> he told you that. Well, I'm not taking my jacket. [snorts] >> Do you want to search her back? She smells >> Yeah. Can I talk to one of y'all? >> Yeah, sure. >> Okay, let's do that. >> Hello. >> We can't hear her. I'm going to give you one other option and then I'm going to have to be forced to do something because you want to get in my face. Do you not have a moment to talk to you or no? >> I will call her from an office phone. >> For what? She on the phone already. >> That's okay. I will call her from an office phone. I'll let her know what's going on. >> All right. What's going on? Let me know. >> We'll talk to her in there like >> Okay. Tell me what's going on. Okay, I'm stopping from touching me, bro. >> Stop resisting now. >> Bro, >> stop resisting now. >> Get off of me. >> No, you're done. When Makia shoved a staff member, that was it. The last straw. The officers had no choice but to use force. At that point, she crossed the line from words to violence. And it showed just how desperate she was to stay in control. She wasn't just a stubborn teenager anymore. She was becoming a legal threat. >> Coco, cut you down. >> Stop. >> I'm noting resistance. Get the off of me, bro. >> Youing pushing me and [ __ ] I'm not resisting. I'm sitting on the [ __ ] dead. >> You're making it work, >> bro. IF I WAS RESISTING, I WOULD BE YOUR RIGHT NOW. Even in handcuffs, Makia kept fighting, not to escape, but out of sheer frustration and rage. Deep down, she knew she'd lost, but she wasn't ready to admit it. So, she thrashed and struggled like it was her last stand. You >> want to take a seat? >> I'm straight. I'm sitting now. >> Take a seat now. I'm not asking. >> Coco, but >> enough. Take a seat and stop resisting. Chill out, boy. Hold up. Hold up. Come on. Hey, just sit down. >> Just sit. Relax. >> I can't. >> What is that? [clears throat] >> I don't know. >> Oh, it's all shaking here. Okay, then. Okay, let's go to my office, please. And you can either do I can walk. >> All right, let's go. >> Well, too bad. I'm being I'm chill out. >> Yeah, he better move cuz he know how to >> stop resisting. >> I can walk. Move, bro. >> YOU CAN'T FIT THROUGH THE SAME GODDAMN [ __ ] >> MOVE. OKAY, MOVE, >> GIRL. Shut up. >> Sit up. We're going to go to this seat. >> I want her hand handcuffs behind her back. >> Yeah, >> clearly she was resisting and fighting. Um I couldn't get them on her back, but I had to like get them on. >> Stop resisting. >> RELAX. >> GET OUT MY GET OFF MY NECK, BRO. >> All right, she's double locked. >> All right, let's go and sit her down. >> Sit down. >> Well, you're about to get searched, so don't shove me. >> Okay, you're going to obviously >> Can you get youring hair off of me, bro? I don't need you to touch me. Who the caught this? Like take her out of here. You want to touch all over my neck and [ __ ] What's up? >> Take a seat. >> I don't have nothing. >> What are you searching? I have so much. It's a pot. >> Don't care. >> It was obvious this school never taught her how to handle emotions. Every move she made was impulsive, emotional, and reckless. Only digging her deeper. She kept resisting. But as the charges were read out one by one, her defiance started to fade. Silence took over. That's when reality hit. This was serious and it wasn't going away. Well, just sit there then. So, you're now in custody obviously for battering on a schoolboard employee, battering on a law enforcement, also res resisting with violence, and obviously the possession of marijuana and everything else that you have. So, and then obviously you you guys that you I mean I think she resisted All right. So, I'm Deputy L Cook. I'm the school resource deputy and Mr. Kennedy can kind of explain a little bit about what happened beforehand if I already did. >> Okay. So, explain to you a little bit about what happened. Um, I guess she walked past him. Um, he had some discipline that he wanted to address. She wouldn't have it. I'm sure she was using profanity, refusing to comply with his order. Um, started yelling and he called me. I heard the yelling at which point I responded. All right. She went into a classroom that was doing pictures. It was active classroom, too. They were doing their computer work. And she started yelling, refusing his orders and things of that nature. At which point, we try to escort her to the dean's office. Um, so she's going to get charges for all that. Um, she is 18 years old. She she does not go to juvenile court. She's going to go to the branch jail. Uh, she's going to get battered on a school on a excuse me, on a law enforcement officer. She's gonna get resisting a law enforcement officer of violence and then she's going to get campus disruption. Okay, so that's two felonies and a misdemeanor. Let everything go with your mom so that way you don't have property to you might let me take that off. So go ahead and try to move to where I can try to help you get that off because that can't go with you and any other kind of jewelry would definitely be helpful. Okay, >> that's all her property. Okay, >> no problem. You don't need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong. It was her. >> No, >> it's no reflection on you. Okay, sir. >> At this point, they're adults. They make their own decisions. And this is what happens. You make a wrong decision on that line. Okay. So, she needs to learn. >> Just like you said, this is her opportunity. All right. This might help. All right. All right. So, you've been searched. Go ahead and enter. Let me get that real quick. >> Okay. You all right? Watch yourself. >> I move both of my >> You didn't You got You caught it. Good job. All right, there we go. >> She was taken to jail and officially charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest with violence, disrupting school operations, and possession of both nicotine and marijuana. After a plea deal, she was sentenced to one year of house arrest, 2 years of probation, and 50 hours of community service. On March 11th, 2025, police were called after a heated argument [music] spiraled out of control. At the scene, they found signs of domestic violence, a man with visible injuries on his face, and a woman who openly admitted she'd hit him. But the moment the handcuffs came out, the story was far from over. >> Real quick, >> what's up, man? What's going on? >> Yes. >> What's going on with your eye? >> I got beat up. >> Okay. Is >> there altercation out? >> Nah, not today. >> Not today. Nothing happened today. >> What apartment are you going to? >> 606. >> 606. Who live in 606? My home girl. >> Well, first someone was arguing up here. I just assume they were in their apartment. >> Hey, Janette. >> Oh [ __ ] >> You're good. Where's your sister at? >> She in the shower. >> Okay, cuz we're out here with Oh, dog. Cool. Yeah, it's all right. Absolutely not. >> Cuz we're not here with her boyfriend. >> Yeah, she in the shower. >> I know. Can she talk to us real quick? Cuz he was about to come back in the room and I'm guessing that's not a good idea. >> Come back in here. >> Yeah. >> No. Hell no. My kid's in here. I ain't going for that [ __ ] >> I know. Can you grab her real quick? >> Oh, she just have her come talk to us. I appreciate you. >> Um, she said she need a minute cuz she >> That's cool. No worries. That's fine. >> I appreciate you. >> Y Yeah, literally right when we came up, someone was arguing, so I assumed he was already in. >> And then as soon as we walked past both ways, it just stopped. I was like, >> "No, there's >> this." >> That dog was big, >> was it? >> Kind of dog. >> Was a king Corsa, I think. Oh [ __ ] >> You didn't look happy to see me. >> No. >> So, how did how did how did this altercation between you two start? >> [ __ ] If she ain't call She kept trying to kick me out cuz I need a space to sleep. I can't sleep in my car. It's cold in there. I can't have my gas. I don't got no gas. And I I don't got no job right now. So, she gave me like $150 to bring her up here. I'm supposed to get back. >> Yeah. >> The boyfriend revealed that money troubles [music] and relationship drama were fueling the fight. Financial stress so often pours gasoline on already volatile relationships. His sense of betrayal and hurt was exactly what police usually see in households where abuse becomes the norm. >> Do you hit Have you hit her back? >> Never. That's the thing. I've never Well, let me not lie. Today was the only time. And she kept calling me I'm like, "Oh my god, stop." So, I just backhanded her on the Mount Popp real quick. Like, stop calling me like, "Jesus Christ." >> Yeah. >> That was the only time out of a whole year that I've ever touched her. She hit me and she kept kicking me in my face and I hit the side of my glass. >> Okay. >> And I still defended her. I said, "She's hurt. It's okay. She's hurt. Don't nobody yell at her. Nobody hurts at her. Don't talk [ __ ] about her. She's just hurt right now. You know what's crazy? She's in there with another. She meets introducing a nail. >> Hello. >> Yeah, he came back down there. >> I remember. >> Oh, you went for the police. That's so cool. >> I'm so sorry we had to be in this like, you know, situation. >> What's going on? Um, he needs to go back to North Carolina. >> Okay. >> What happened tonight? >> Uh, we're anxious. He took me down here. Um, the agreement at first was that I was to stay and then I changed my mind. But it don't matter. He just need to leave. >> Okay. >> He's very emotional and I just I want to like I just want him to leave me alone. You know what I'm saying? I've been wanting to go home for a while. I'm finally back. I'll be going to Alabama soon so I can have more stability. Okay. >> So, were you guys both in North Carolina and he brought you back here? >> I moved to North Carolina from Texas um when we were still together >> with him. >> Yes. 5 months ago. >> I just caught a DB charge down in North Carolina. >> Oh, God. >> I don't want him to get charged down here cuz I want him stuck down here. I just want him to go home. >> I get you. >> I'll be right back. >> The man admitted he'd struck her in the past, complicating the situation even further. >> [music] >> Yet, he still tried to shield her, downplaying her role, something officers see all too often in abusive relationships. At first, she calmly asked him to leave, but the shoving and hitting that followed may have been both real and a manipulative tactic to flip the narrative and make herself [music] look like the victim. >> I can't lie, I usually do be starting it. Like, okay, >> I would like get upset and put my hands on, but that's not what happened tonight. Um, I actually was just trying to get him away from the apartment because this not my place, you know, and the people here, I don't know. I can't control what anybody else does or if they feel like threatened or whatever, you know, if they're I don't want to bring this drama over here in the first place. So, um, >> so this is your brother's apartment? >> This is my friends. >> Your friends? Okay. >> Well, I do kind of look like him, don't I? >> No, someone else thought it was your brother. That's all. Um, >> okay. So, he brought you here to stay >> and he thought he was also staying but >> or that I'm coming back with him and he's mad cuz I'm not coming back with him. He said I'm not leaving unless you come back with and he stay and it's just like >> how would he get a mark like here? >> How' he get a mark here? >> I'm not staying no more. I don't have a lawyer. I don't cuz last time I was in North Carolina as soon as I was like like because it was a situation where he was trying to kidnap me for real and he was like I'm not leaving unless you smoke with me and I didn't tell the police until I couldn't think straight and I was just like yeah >> I get you. So it's not incriminating anything. He's just got a mark here. You've got a mark here. So >> that was earlier and >> this was from earlier. >> That was earlier on South Hawkins. It would be >> I don't know if I got a call if y'all remember that. If y'all got that specifically. >> What What time was that? This was like early when it was still sun out. >> Oh no, no, we were not there. >> Stop talking. Nobody was there. Nobody showed up, but they said >> Okay. >> What happened in the parking lot then? >> Um, he snatched my phone. >> So, I was walking down. He was at the door. He was like, "Just talk to me. Just talk to me. Just talk to me." I'm like, "No, I don't want to talk to you." So I kept I walked down the stairs and I went down the stairs and it was on the stairs talking and then it got physical and then um I was just kind of couldn't think straight. So then um he snatched my phone. >> Her story didn't line up with his and she even admitted she was usually the one who starts it. At that point police weren't buying the excuses anymore. When asked about the injuries, she refused to answer without a lawyer. A move that showed [music] both self-p protection and a clear attempt to avoid accountability. >> Physical struggle. Yeah. >> And then did he take off in the car while you're still on it? >> Uh-huh. >> Okay. >> Yes. I was on top of the car and he was driving. >> Did he like like >> actually run you over? Like did the tires >> I was on top of the car already. >> Okay. >> Took off and you fell off. >> No. >> All right. So, I hate to be the bear of bad news, but >> you want to arrest me? >> Yeah. Go ahead. Just make this easier. All right. Go put your hand behind your back. >> I'm being arrested again. >> Y'all going to charge me with DB? >> Uh, yes. Then, >> oh my god, I'm going to be in there for hours. >> Can y'all tell them that they're arrest Can y'all tell them that you're arresting me? >> Yeah, I will. In the meantime, let's >> your phone or anything. >> I hope you're happy. Oh my god. >> It's not It's not his decision. Let's >> not do that. >> It's not his decision, dear. >> In the state of Ohio, it's preferred. Meaning, regardless regardless if he wanted to pursue charges or not, the outcome would be the same. >> Don't Don't [ __ ] along. >> You talk to me is not going to make me feel better. Like, bro, I didn't even do nothing. Like, he literally snatched my phone. Like he was driving with me on top of the car. >> But did you see his face? Have you seen his face? >> What does that mean? >> He's beat up really bad. >> I did not beat him up. >> You just said you headbutted him. >> I headbutted him because he was restraining me. He stole my phone. >> So So >> he said he sent my money on Cash App to himself. >> Sorry. You said you headbutt him because you because you stole your phone and then after >> No, it's camera. >> It's camera footage. >> Don't question and point like why did >> I'm not talking about no. >> She already had a history of domestic violence and by her own words she was often the aggressor. Still, she acted shocked when officers placed her under arrest. [music] She couldn't accept being labeled the abuser while still insisting she was also a victim. That denial was written all over her face as they put her [music] in the back of the squad car. >> Is your second baby charged with him? >> Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. >> Okay. Damn. >> Got to listen. Any weapons on you? Spread your feet. >> Spread your feet. Stop. >> Do you have any weapons on you? Do it look like I don't have any weapons. >> I'm asking. >> It ain't It ain't about. >> All right. [ __ ] marks on me. That don't mean nothing. Like I was just bleeding. That don't mean nothing. >> Go ahead. Stand up straight. Stop. Stop doing that. Stop doing that. Stop. Keep your feet spread. What is you doing? My feet are spread. >> God, they wasn't. You can't. >> Well, they are now and you're g to me. >> Yes, because now I HAVE MY FOOT IN BETWEEN YOUR LEG. >> Stop playing with me. >> I'm going to I ask you one more time. Nothing on you. No drugs or anything. Take it to county with the earring. >> [laughter] [laughter] >> Oh my god. [crying] Oh my god. Oh my god. [laughter] READY? [screaming] [crying] [screaming] [crying] [laughter] >> All right. Go ahead. Step out. Just stop that step. Okay, I got to switch out your cups. Watch your step. >> [laughter] [screaming] >> In the end, she was booked [music] into jail and charged with domestic battery. Because of her prior record and her open admission that she struck him, this could count as a second offense. That means possible jail time, probation, fines, and mandatory counseling programs on anger management and domestic violence. >> Do we really do job interviews at a stage? On December 11th, 2024, cops were called to a job center after a woman was accused of trespassing, cussing out and disrespecting [music] employees. When told to leave, she flat out refused. What happened next cranked the tension up higher than anyone expected. >> Yep, no problem. >> Um, I'm the one that I call. My name is Caroline. I'm working here from DPS services and I just only here taking interview from abs and budget carrentos in six car rentals. >> Um, I have one applicant. She didn't give me her name or he didn't give me his name. She came here. >> It was a man and woman or just a >> He say that he is both. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah, he came here. I just only sitting down there with those two lady. They all present the situation. The only thing that I say is man, I have your driver license so I can check that in our system and no, I'm not going to give you my information because I'm not going to work with you [ __ ] >> And very disrepairful. Um the overwork that you >> when they left did you see where which which way they went? >> This way. Um when she left they all present the situation and I have one person that he presented situation that he say the same thing. Hey stop disrespectful. >> All right. We'll circulate the area try to make contact. The person was wearing all black is white. >> Yes. Black. >> Black shirt. Black pants. What kind? >> Yes. Um >> jeans or green tumble? >> So like you know like they do. >> Okay. green like the same color basically outfit >> and basically black and black. >> All right. And it was a black maybe male female >> Hispanic white >> black. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You have your ID? Just so I can write down who I'm talking to and then I came out and we going to try our best to make contact. >> Oh yeah, >> that's her. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Oh my god. Let me move a car for $50 an hour full time. Let me just dwindle myself to a stupid job. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Like I >> So when you got there, you're like, "No, I don't want this shopping." >> I was like, "Ew." And then she started speaking Spanish as if I didn't take Spanish, too. >> All right. >> And I was like, "Babe, where's Caroline?" Never Oh, she actually called. >> Are we here now? Oh my god. Cuz I have I have something to say. >> Go for it. >> Yeah. Literally, I was like I'm already like I already left a message to actually Caroline. It's Caroline and it's like And I'm like, "Are you Caroline?" She's like, "No." And I'm like, "Ew, this is really disgusting." Do we really do job interviews in a stupid office? >> I guess some places do. >> No, it's crazy. No. Where is the club? >> A I'm coming up with I got my socials for this $13 an hour. Like, this is so stupid. >> So, I guess I just lost. She claimed she'd been offended by an unprofessional interview process, looking down on the very people she needed help from, even while applying for a $13 an hour job. The fact that she openly admitted to insulting staff shows either wild overconfidence or just an excuse to cover her bad behavior. >> I just was like, "This is ghetto. Y'all are ghetto." I left. I said, "This is stupid." >> Are you serious? >> And she was like, "I'm going to call you." And I don't know where she thinks she is. And I was like, "Babe, how much you get paid?" >> Do you get paid to be a [ __ ] I might have called her a few. >> I call her a [ __ ] >> I will admit that. Did you get paid to be a [ __ ] >> Cuz you're a [ __ ] >> How much you get paid? And how much? Cuz I could I speak Spanish. I don't No. No. But I took that. >> Yeah, I can't. But I can pick up on words. I'm from Florida. I'm not I'm really dumb. >> You're you're it's this is this situation is stupid. I should have put myself into it and then it was just dumb. I've never seen somebody do a job interview and they don't go in a room that's closed and I never been on a job interview and talk to somebody with the hiring. I'm like where's the hiring manager? And she's like oh she's here right now. And I'm like this is ghetto. >> Okay. So you're not going to take people into a room and like hire them and do that and we're all waiting like for $13 an hour. This is stupid. You shouldn't even call that. You wasted my money 30 $40 to get down and I'll talk to you. You're wasting my money. You wasting my time and you waste my time cuz you're a [ __ ] She's a [ __ ] She's not Caroline. >> I already talked to Caroline. It was Caroline. I don't know who I >> was. I don't know. >> That was Caroline. I just spoke to >> that was Caroline. >> Well, Caroline >> from my experience. >> Yeah. >> Um, so how how did you get here? You took like a cab or an Uber or something? >> Yeah. I was just actually calling it. Look, I have it right here. I have the right away back home. Right. >> Uber. >> Are they on their way? >> Number 1190. >> When officers asked for her ID, she dug in her heels, insisting she wasn't wrong and didn't have to give them anything. That move showed her blind faith in her own private logic, ignoring the actual law. She carried herself like she was smarter than everyone else, tearing others down, even though [music] she was the one sitting there unemployed. >> So, I've been wondering to people cuz I'm like, "Oh my god, who do I call?" They're going to be like, "Danny, why would you even did you really make your mother drive a car?" >> Caroline is a [ __ ] >> She's a broke [ __ ] actually. And just keep it real. >> Let me ask you, do you have ID with you? Um, you Lily, my whole wife is in here, but there's no reason for me to get in. I'm drinking coffee. I did not be interested. >> I know you're drinking coffee, but >> at this point, they've kind of wanted you on the outside of the building. >> Right now, you're actually you guys being here when you step outside and I still have my I'm drinking coffee. So even you guys right now and me talking your mind. >> Yeah. >> And I will Caroline going to be a big one for the rest of her life. >> That's what I do think cuz the first thing she did she looked for a male. She's like, and I was like, and she was like, "Oh my god, sir, sir." And I was like, "Oh, she she a hoe. I already know. Carolina, [ __ ] She a hoe. Why would you even do a job? Are you the hiring manager?" And she is, >> but she's so disrespectful. And why would you even You bring people into a room like the whole situation was just ghetto. Three chocolate. >> Go back to >> No, I won't. What the I have I just been eating. I got two Cuban sandwiches and drink coffee. Like, are you serious? >> Cool as ever, she sat back sipping her coffee, saying she didn't do anything wrong and had no reason to leave. In her eyes, the job center simply didn't meet her standards and should be dismissed. She wasn't there to land a job. She was there to make noise. >> On the way? >> Yeah, I'm good. I'm good girl. I just don't like the whole like it was ghetto. I'm not used to that. >> I was like this is >> and she was just like and then everybody's like sitting I think it's >> I can't even put my finger on it. >> Like you you don't do if you're hiring people as a hiring manager, you don't put everybody in one room and and put them on a tie. Everybody you don't hire people and say, "Oh, you come at this time, right?" And you have people in a room. This is not a casting calling Hollywood, [ __ ] This is a $13 an hour job. >> So I'm not sitting here waiting. >> Yeah. It's either Yeah, we could do this over the fall. Do I take the car there and go there? This is I don't know who the you are or what you get paid, but [ __ ] Caroline. >> Caroline. [ __ ] >> Oh. Oh, she called probably called you after. >> All right. >> All right. Thank you guys. >> Take it easy. >> I respect y'all. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> You are unbelievable. >> You were given one command. Don't go back in. >> Not to go back in. You were told. Yes, I can. >> You're not allowed in there anymore. >> I That's I'm not allowed where you have to trespass me. Yes, >> there are things that you have to do. You have to trespass me. >> I'm not in somewhere you can't trust. I need to get in my Uber and I want my stuff. Search my bag. >> Yeah. So, I'm gonna search all your stuff. >> Oh my golly. So, I'm gonna lose my Uber. Oh, and you got my coffee. >> Oh my god. >> Ma'am, you have There's something wrong right now. There's something wrong right now. >> No, I want to get in my Uber and I wanted to give her a tip. No, >> there's nothing wrong. >> She bragged about being generous, but piled on demands for any job she'd take, constantly bashing the hiring process as unprofessional. Even after she was cuffed, she kept shouting that she was innocent. Instead of owning up, she blamed the cops, the staff, and the whole system for what she called a stupid situation. >> For tipping her and >> No, no, no, no. For trespassing. For trespassing, you were told not to come back in a bunch of times. >> You were told not to come back in a bunch of times. >> Go. That's not Ma'am, please. How am I resisting an arrest? Oh, am I in? Oh, wait. Am I arrested for what? >> Yes. For trespassing. For trespassing. You >> can't ma'am. I'm sorry. >> You have to literally trespass me. I gave her a tip and I drank coffee. >> All right. >> So, you are like right now my Uber's there. You're doing too much. You don't look smart. >> Ma'am, you don't want to be >> You have I don't Please. >> But you are resisting right now. >> No, that's a $6 charge. If I >> I am NOT RESISTING ARREST. WHY AM I ARRESTED, SIR? >> Trespassing >> because for I gave her a tip >> for trespassing. >> You can't I have TO BE TRESPASSED for trespassing. >> You cannot arrest me for trespassing if I'm Where are we going? >> To my district office. >> Thank you. I mean, you should take first or something. I could have I don't know. You already checked in. I'll have I don't know what we're doing right now. He's so annoying. This is the stupidest thing I've ever done with my life. He's searching for drugs. At least I look cute. And he just looks so stupid on his little remote control Mikey thing. It's just I don't know. Like, is this real? I can't I can't believe this is real. In the end, the woman was hauled off to jail, charged with trespassing because she refused to leave when told, and with resisting arrest for fighting the officers who tried to escort her out. [music] The penalties could range from fines to probation or even jail time depending on how serious the court sees her stunt. On April 18th, 2023, police were called to an AT&T [music] store after reports of a violent assault. A suspect, unable to control herself after a failed date, lashed out, attacking an employee [music] and trashing the store. But what happened next was even more shocking. >> The employees are now in the safe room. Okay, I'm at the door. I don't know how I'm going to get in when they're in the safe room, but I see this young lady. >> Sit down. Okay, I got her. I can't get in here, but I got her on the floor, but I'm still locked outside, but I can't get in. The lady's laying on the floor. Lay down. Lay down. We're trying to make her like to try to open the door. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I got the lady with her hands up, but I I can't get it to them. So, they're going to they're going to have to come open this door. >> Okay. >> Hey, Charlie 40. I'm with them at the back door. >> Which way? Through here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. We got to figure out what's what. >> Let go. >> Let go of your hands. There you go. >> We're going to roll you over and stand you up. Okay. >> I can roll my hand. I >> I can't shoot nobody. I don't have a damn >> I understand. Don't shoot me, please. Nobody's going to shoot you. >> Please don't shoot me. >> Is that all right? >> After cuffing nausea, officers immediately interviewed the victim, Tim, to piece together the backstory. This was a crucial step in the investigation, collecting firsthand [music] details and securing early evidence. >> What happened? What's going on? >> Who Who's going to be my primary person here? >> Him. All right. You've been nominated. >> So, tell me what happened. >> Well, come back. Okay. You can talk to me out there. >> No. Yeah, I know. >> Met her yesterday. Sold her a phone yesterday. Here. >> Okay. >> I remember outside her work. >> I'm sorry. Say again. >> Got her phone. So, where's this knife at? >> Ask. >> Witness interviews became crucial. Testimony wasn't always reliable, but it gave investigators the context they needed. Conflicting statements [music] between the victim and witnesses made it harder for police to pin down the truth. >> It's like 11:30 this morning. >> Uhhuh. >> They were just drinking and stuff. And then the two one the one over here and then the girl who flexed up they got in a fight >> and she lost. But blood stains on her clothes told another story. When officers confirmed the victim's wound [music] was a stab puncture and not just a tear, her composure snapped. She lashed out in fury from the back of the patrol car. >> Oh no, I fell. >> Oh yeah, you fell. >> Yeah, I completely >> That's not a puncture. >> No, no puncture. >> Is that a puncture? >> No, it's not a puncture. They don't know. They just still did put a band-aid on it. There's no punctures. >> There is. >> I'm not asking you. Go to the >> I got to go to the grass, but you are okay. >> Don't intimidate yourself. shut the up and get out these people. >> Diana's sister was released since the evidence and testimony weren't strong enough to hold her. But with both victim and suspect refusing to cooperate, the case grew even murkier. Police urged Diana to separate from her cousin for safety. But she refused. Moments later, when officers circled back to arrest her, she bolted out the back door. Did she leave? >> She leave. >> No. No. No. >> Can you just grab her real quick? >> Yeah. She >> Okay. >> She ain't out there. >> Copy. Yeah. I think she went out the back door. >> Okay. >> Chill out. We good? No, we don't want to take you to jail. Be cool. You good? >> You want to flirt with no girl? Co. >> Hey, where your car at? down here. >> Y'all have a nice day. >> You too. >> I'll be back. >> Yeah. Lift myself up. It'll be better. >> Go ahead. >> All right. Put your legs. >> Oh my god. Sh. I've been on a world dumbest criminal. [laughter] In the end, Diana, the prime suspect, was captured and booked on felony assault charges. If convicted, she could face serious prison time, heavy fines, and restitution to the victim. The exact sentence would depend on state law and how the court judged the severity of her crime. What started as polite requests quickly spiraled into a full-blown standoff. A woman later identified as Melody was found hiding out in [music] a hotel maintenance area with her Mustang blocking the exit, flatout refusing to leave. When things got completely out of hand, the hotel had no choice but to call the cops and shut this dangerous game down. >> Stay here. >> Stay wherever I want. Where are you? You need to address yourself. >> What's your car? for that Mustang. >> Yeah. Why is there a problem? >> The problem is what happened over there. >> The problem is is she's a witch. From the get-go, Melody's hostile attitude, total lack of respect, and refusal to cooperate screamed [music] trouble. Turns out she had already come dangerously close to crashing into a patrol car and caused a mess at a BP gas station earlier. When officers made a second approach, she kept resisting and ignoring direct orders. >> I've done nothing wrong. I'm staying at this hotel. >> Police told you you're placed under the Baker Act. Okay. We have the right to detain you for the purpose of >> I have not done anything person. Well, what's your issue? >> You're going to be Baker acted. That's what's going to happen. [screaming] >> In the end, she was booked on charges of resisting arrest and an outstanding warrant. If convicted, she could face fines, probation, or even jail, depending on the severity of the case. On July 21st, 20124, police were called to a parking lot after a family dispute erupted. The ex-boyfriend showed up with a baseball bat, instantly turning the scene into something far more dangerous. [music] But this was only the beginning. What happened next would escalate even further. >> Okay. Yeah, he was with Tanya. Okay, so basically the whole background is that two people in the park, Manny and Tanya, they're a couple. Okay. >> So Tanya came out with him. >> Okay. >> And then when this whole situation happened, they were walking out. I don't know what they were doing. They were talking and then they we were well, we weren't here. Manny was here and he started coming out probably I think the way he was writing it, he said that they were he was yelling >> and did you tell them? No. >> So why are they in your car? >> We Okay. So if he's my brother and then then just >> So you know them? >> Yes. >> You don't know. >> Well, hey speak with Speak with him. Speak. >> Hey, man. >> Put your hands on him. Get over him. >> Hey, you want to work with him? He only speaks Spanish. Uh, so do you guys know him? >> You know him? Okay. How do you know him? >> He's an old friend. >> He's an old friend. Okay. What was going on today? >> Today we were just hanging out. We haven't seen each other in a while. He wanted some help earlier, so we went to the store. I just helped out I just helped him pick out some stuff. >> Okay. >> And then we were up here. We were just talking and then it was just time for us to go. So we come down. >> You guys were up here? >> Yeah, we were up here. >> Okay. And we were coming down and I see him down here. So I'm telling him >> you two were just up here and he was down here. >> He was down. Those two were up there. >> We were up there >> and he was >> I was just down here. They were together. >> Got it. >> Got it. Okay. >> And then we were just right here. I was telling him, you know what? Some might go down. Um I was I basically told him I was like, "We're not together no more. I don't know why he's here. Might go down. I recommend you stay here. I don't want you to come down." >> Who are you telling that to? >> To him. >> To him. >> Yeah. I was like, I don't want anything to happen right now. >> You two together. >> From the start, officers interviewed witnesses to gather the facts and assess the risks. Tanya's testimony confirmed there was a very real threat, pushing the situation beyond a simple argument into a potentially violent crime. >> So then then what happened? >> The reason I started telling him and warning him was because when I was up here, I had gotten a text telling him, "If you don't come down here, I have a bat with me. I'mma break his windshield. So when we came down here, that's >> to do that either. Okay. >> So when we came down here, I give him the warning because I kind of already know it's when I go down and when I'm coming over here, he already pulls it out automatically. And then that's when she starts going down. We start arguing. I'm trying to take him away. >> Okay. I know you already told everybody it can be frustrating. You have to redeem yourself, but what's what's going on? >> So this is my ex-girlfriend, the one that's telling me, >> the taller one or the taller one. Taller. So, she lives with me. >> Okay. >> I have her location and they told me she was leaving. I was at work with my mom and I just I texted I was like, "Where are you going?" She told me she was coming to the mall. I found out she was with him and I don't know him. So, and we live together, so I'm worried about where she is. I came to see where she where she was. I see that their car is parked there. So, I wait for them. I had a bat with me. I told her, "If you don't come with me, I'm going to I told her like I I'll do something to his car." I didn't do anything, but I She comes down. She's like, um, denying coming home with me. I just want to take her home. I told her I was like, I'm not here to argue with you. Um, that happens. I, uh, at one point I have my bat with me, but she takes it out of my hand. I'm not hitting her with it or anything, but we're near the we're in between the bars on the concrete side. >> And so, I'm trying to get it back. I'm like, give me the bat. I'm just I'm trying to go home. We're kind of just tussling over it and then just like um it slightly hits his window. It just bends it in though. It doesn't hit it at all. Like there's no dent or anything. >> What got bent? One of the >> side window. You know how they bend? It just went forward >> like it just moved it. I guess >> is that when the the bat was in it or how did it get? >> We were just kind of tussling, fighting for it. >> Oh, for the window like trying to like >> for the bat so I can have it back. >> Okay. >> But it is like the side window. It's just >> the like the side the rearview mirror type thing. Are you talking about that interview like the one that moves this way? >> Oh, I see. I see. Okay. So, it just >> The ex-boyfriend's behavior wasn't about jealousy. It was about control. He stalked Tanya, felt betrayed, and chose violence. Swinging the bat and smashing a car mirror, he left behind hard evidence of just how quickly things had spiraled. >> And we're just going on about that. He He's like nowhere to be seen anywhere. I'm like calling for him to come out. Okay. And then >> do you think he was in the car at that point or >> he wasn't? He never came out to the car cuz the whole time they were upstairs. I don't know where. When I was here, I saw them come down. They ended up right here and only she came out cuz she wanted to talk to me. Just her. >> Gota. Okay. >> So, we're we're just trying we're basically just um arguing. I'm just trying to tell I'm just like just get in the car. We'll go home. We're basically both fighting to get each other to go home. She wants me to leave. I want her to come. So, she wants to go with him. And I'm just trying to find figure out where he is. He literally left out of nowhere, but she was like, "He's going to call the police." And I told her, "I'll call the police." Like, you like just basically hit me with the bat, even though it wasn't on purpose. Like, I was just kind of threatening so she would leave with me as a >> Oh, okay. So, like as of today before this whole incident, >> kind of like, well, I thought, well, this morning we were fine. That's kind of why I had no idea we were like she was going to come here with him. I thought she was here alone, so I was just going to come pick her up. >> Okay. But then my sister got home before me and she told me she left with someone and she described the car to me. So I found the car and I'm just waiting for them to come out. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> So I can take it and we live 5 minutes from there. Not even that. Like >> Okay. >> So I'm just trying to go home. >> So is this like did you have some suspicions that this was like somebody she was seeing on the side? Is that kind of why >> cuz cuz I got the suspicion today that she was going to um she was talking to him today and then she left the house. She turns off her location. I figure she's with him. >> Okay. Has there been any hints of infidelity in the past or like >> Yeah, but it was solved and so like right now we were trying to fix so I'm pretty sure we were good. The morning I left we were perfectly fine. We weren't arguing at all. >> Okay. >> I just got upset that she she didn't let me know she left the house and she was home alone and like we have cameras that let us know she leaves which is fine. It's just like I >> Their stories clashed sharply. While he claimed he just wanted to settle things, his action showed otherwise. He even waved at the body cam and tried to pin the blame on Tanya, accusing her of injuring him. >> Okay, so you guys come down. >> Yeah. >> And uh Manny is here. What happens in that confrontation? >> Well, they don't confront each other at all. We were I was with Gio over there in the corner and that's when I was telling him everything. >> So, he just stays there, but at some moment he like walks back up >> and then does. >> Yeah, Daddy does. So, I come over. The man is sitting in the car. >> Which car is it? >> The black one. >> The Volkswagen. This one. >> So I I'm walking in, he gets out of the car and right away get in the car. We're going home and I was like, I'm not going home with you. So that like I think I it was like a when he came out he got the bat or it was after I said I'm not going home with you that he went around and got the bat and that's when he was like I'm going to go I'm going to get the windshield blah blah blah. So I tried to take the bat. I was like, "You're not going to hit this weight on [ __ ] You're not going to >> Whose car is this? >> This is Manny's." This one is Gators. We wanted to hit Gotcha. I understand. Okay. So, he says, "In the car, we're leaving." We say, "No." He gets out with a bat. >> Yeah. And >> And then I get the bat. We're like fussing over it back and forth. Eventually, he gets hit in the head, but it wasn't on purpose. We both had the bat. It was the the the tugging. >> Okay. And then he opens the car, pushes me in. I'm like fighting to get out. The I don't know if the guy happens to hit him again or just >> He pushes you into his car. >> Yeah, I'm in the back seat in the back and I'm trying to get out. >> Were you telling him anything? >> I'm literally yelling. I'm like, "Please let me get out. I don't want to get in here with you." I'm like telling him all this stuff. He's like, "I don't care. We're going home." Blah, blah, blah. And >> at this point, the bat have been dropped. >> It's just it's it's not near us. Tanya's account revealed a direct attack. Forcing someone into a car against their will can be considered assault or even unlawful imprisonment. His erratic behavior underscored how dangerous blurred boundaries can become in a toxic relationship. >> Manny's car in the pass in the not passenger, the passenger. >> Is that because he forced you in because you >> also because I was p I was pushed in. >> So he pushed you in the car. >> Yes. >> And eventually just kind of gave up trying to get out. No, I I I got out and then he was like, "I'm gonna go call him." So, he starts walking over here. He's calling him. He was like, "You he was like, you're so scared. You can't even come out." Blah, blah, blah. He was like, "This is the type of guy." And he was saying that he was like, "This is the type of guy you're messing with." I was like, "You don't even know. I told him not to come down here because I knew how to get and all of this stuff." And then he was like, "No, I don't care." And then he goes back again, pick gets the bat, and I take it back. And at this point I'm like like holding it high over me and he's like trying to reach but he can't. And so he just gets frustrated and he walks over here. He's waving at the cameras and then he like >> 30 seconds over there. >> Oh okay. >> He's waving at the camera and then I'm like tell he's like comes back to me. He was like look at what you did to me. I can call out the police on you for this. I was like that wasn't even on me. Like did you show the camera because we were going back and forth. That wasn't on purpose. And then he was like, "Okay, I don't care. Like, I'm going to steal all of it." >> Um, so in Washington, right, anything that's considered a domestic relationship, which includes roommates, uh, spouses, girlfriend, boyfriend, anybody, right? >> If there's any physical act that's unwelcome at all in between anybody in a domestic relationship, it's considered assault for domestic violence and it's a mandatory arrest in the state of Washington. All right. Okay. So, at this time you are going to be placed in custody for >> In the end, the suspect was arrested and taken to jail on charges of domestic violence assault, a serious crime. In Washington state, that charge triggers a mandatory arrest. [music] Penalties could include jail time, probation, mandatory anger management counseling, and steep fines. On November 1st, 2024, police responded to a report. Someone believed Marcel was driving drunk. Officers quickly arrived at the scene, but when they asked her to do a simple sobriety test, she flat out [music] refused. And that attitude, it only made things worse. >> Ma'am, I'm not asking. I need you to step out of the vehicle. >> I'm having an anxiety attack. >> You having an anxiety attack? >> Yeah. >> Are you having anxiety attack because a officer stops you and thinks you're drunk? >> Why are you having an anxiety attack? Ma'am, I need you to step out of the vehicle now. >> I can't. Yes, you can. Do you have your ID on you? Hey, I need you to look at me. Can you look at me and open your eyes? >> I'm having a panic attack right now. >> Well, I'm having the paramedics come to check you out. [snorts] >> Okay. And I'm having a panic attack. >> You keep telling me that. I hear I >> I'm having a panic attack. >> You keep telling me that. >> And you can have my >> I'm just What? I'm just I'm just waiting >> here. Here. I'm not drunk. >> Okay. Everything you've told me to tell me you're not drunk leads me to believe you're more drunk. >> I'm not drunk. I just want to go home. I get to Marcel. The more you get up here, the more I'm going to take you out of this vehicle right now. >> Can I come and get you? >> Please. [laughter] Can you come get me? >> Can I talk to >> Can you please come get me, please? Our house got destroyed from the hurricane. Just please don't take me to jail. >> Michelle, I need you to hand me the phone. >> Please just let him come, guys. Hi, this is >> Marcel. Marcel. Hey, >> I need you to listen to me. The paramedics. >> I work on the medical field. >> I have to see patients this morning. >> That's good for you. I need you to do something for me. Okay. >> For FD to come evaluate you, you need to step out of the vehicle. >> Yes, you can step out of the vehicle. That doesn't mean you're going to jail, [laughter] okay? But I need you to step out of the vehicle. All right. >> I just want to go home and go to sleep. I'm so tired. I'm so sleepd deprived. I just want to go to sleep. I'm so tired right now. I just want to go to sleep. >> Come on. >> I just want to go. >> Step out of the vehicle. >> Don't touch me. I just want to go to sleep. >> All right. You can do this willingly or you can do it in handcuffs. Which one do you want? >> I understand what you want. This is >> First, she claimed she was having a panic attack. Then she said she was just tired and exhausted. But no matter what excuse she gave, one thing was clear. She wasn't cooperating. All they asked for were a few simple steps. Instead, she insisted on going home. Her repeated refusal raised big questions about whether she was fully aware of what she [music] was doing. >> Get out of the car. Out of the car. >> Out of the car. Now, you got to step right over here in the grass. So, after you can evaluate you, stop all you want. >> Right here. Watch hands. No. Don't lie. How much have you had to drink? >> I had a jello shot. >> Okay. How many jello shots? >> One. >> At what time? >> Yeah. >> Two hours ago. >> What else have you had to drink? >> Nothing. >> No other alcohol in your system? >> Water. >> What have you taken? >> What have I taken? >> Yeah. Prescription narcotic elicit substance. >> Like supplements. >> I I don't care about vitamins. >> What have you taken? H I'm not the one being investigated. >> You look like I gave birth to you. >> Okay. So, I'm just going to check your eyes real quick. Um pretty much what you're going to do is you are going to look at this green light right here. Okay. >> Yeah, sure. >> Can you put your feet together? >> Yep. >> Got his hands to your side? >> Yep. >> All right. What you're going to do? >> No, I don't need you to raise your hand. All right. What I want you to do is you're going to look at this green light. Okay. >> You're going to follow with your eyes only. >> Absolutely. >> Okay. You're not going to move your head at all. All right. Just follow with your >> Do you mind if we just move on to another evaluation to make sure you're still okay to drive? >> Can I just go home? >> No, not right now. Right now, I just want to make sure that you're okay to drive. >> Take care of my husband. I have to come get my car. I just want to go home. I'm so tired. I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning, take my daughter. >> Listen, I can get you on your way. I'm We're just trying to make sure you're not impaired. >> If my husband can come get my car and drive it home, I don't even care. Like you don't think I can drive it right now, but I just want to go home. >> Okay, we can't do that right now, but I need you to just >> Are you willing to cooperate? I'll cooperate. >> Okay, so you want to move on to the next evaluation? >> Yes, sure. >> What's up? >> Just let me go home. I'm so tired. Do you understand? I've worked over 50 hours this week. I just >> I'm so tired. >> I'm >> Even after officers calmly explained the test, Marcel couldn't stay focused. Her answers didn't make sense, jumping all over the place. She tried painting herself as a hardworking, responsible woman, working 50 hours a week, up early every day. But her behavior told a whole different story, and it was loud and clear. >> Spit your gum out for me. On December 4th, 2023, police were dispatched after a witness reported a woman on a motorcycle swerving dangerously, falling over three times on the highway, and unable to get back up. But once officers arrived, the truth behind her reckless behavior turned out to be even more alarming. >> I was about to call in here. This gal is on this motorcycle. We was behind her. She was bobbed and we went all over and she dumped here three times. Tried to get it up and just fell over again. So she's not capable of driving. >> So no one hit her. She just fell over. >> No, she she just fell right over. >> Okay. What's going on? >> Have you take your helmet off on me? >> Yes. Do you have any pain? Are you in pain? >> Yeah, I know. You're talking to him. But before YOU CALL THAT SUCKER MY COAT. >> She had already crashed multiple times and couldn't even stand. enough reason for officers to suspect she was under the influence. And when she refused to cooperate during the sobriety tests and started blaming the police, that only made things clearer. Her erratic behavior was textbook denial from someone trying to hide just how far gone she really was. >> Are you doing okay today? >> I am. MENTALLY, NO. BUT ME PHYSICALLY, I am. >> OKAY. >> PLEASE ASK ME ABOUT MENTALLY. >> WELL, you just said you're not doing good mentally. What's going on today mentally? I NEED MY KIDS. I NEED MY FAMILY. >> YEAH. So basically this is why >> she failed nearly every field sobriety test. When she refused arrest and tried to grab her phone, officers had to restrain her. That's when the emotional crash hit. Suddenly, she started asking about her child, then spiraled into full panic, screaming, begging, resisting. She even FOUGHT BACK PHYSICALLY. I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE IT WORSE. I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE IT WORSE. PLEASE, AT least just get my kids. LET ME GO, MY GIRLFRIEND. PLEASE. >> All right, let's go. Please. [screaming] I'M NOT TRYING TO GO DOWN. She thrashed, cried, pleaded, and struggled. A heartbreaking display of someone mentally unraveling. This wasn't just fear. It was pure denial. A desperate attempt to avoid facing the consequences. >> What the [ __ ] do this? >> You can take care of the bike. >> Yes, I can take care of the bike. I have somebody on the way here to help me with the kids so I can get the bike. Driving under the influence, DUI, resisting arrest, and thirdderee assault for biting an officer. Depending on local laws, she could be facing fines, license suspension, mandatory treatment, or even jail time. And with a child in the picture, the long-term impact may be far worse than just legal trouble. On July 29th, 2024, police pulled over a woman for a simple traffic violation, changing lanes without signaling. It seemed like a minor stop, but when they ran her information, they found out she'd been driving without insurance for over 30 days. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. >> Good. I'm officer, CPD. What's in the bag? >> I'm [music] getting my driver's license. >> Driver's license. >> Yes. Cuz I seen you behind me when I switched lanes. >> Yeah. So, that's the reason for the stop is the lane change. >> That's why I turned my signal on when I changed lane. >> Okay. >> Is that a problem? >> No. >> You said yes. >> I said no. >> Oh, okay. >> Is this your car? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. You got insurance? >> No, I have not paid my insurance this month. >> How long? Uh, it's been probably about over 30 days. >> Over 30 days going in here. >> Going to the coke off to my daughter. >> Okay. Right down the street from my where you just >> Sounds good. Ma'am, I just want to talk to you out here real quick. >> No problem. >> You walk step back with this officer. Can you pass me that bag? I got to talk to her about what's in it as all. There any weapons in the car? >> No, sir. >> No drugs, nothing like that? >> No, sir. >> Okay. I'm standing up there with him real quick. Do you have anything on you? >> No, sir. >> You want to sit in my car so you're not out here getting wet? Unless you want to stand out here. >> Either or. It doesn't matter to me. >> Okay. If you want to stand out here, that's fine. Here, just stand at the front of the car. Nope. We're going to look through the bag. Stand at the front. You're saying just the booze. >> Why do you need to look through my bag, though? >> She can't be driving around with open alcohol in the front. >> The bottle hasn't been touched. I said booze in my tray. So, I mean, >> but I could see just when you were fiddling around that it obviously had been drinking out of. >> That bottle hadn't been drinking out of for 2 days. So, >> but you're still driving around with it is the problem, right? I just want to make sure there's nothing else in here >> because I know it's your job. >> Why don't you take a seat in the car? That way you're not getting stoked. Okay. This won't take too long. >> Nothing in your pockets. >> No, sir. Nothing. You're more than welcome to check me. >> I'm just going to check up the back or if you want to pull out a car. >> Yeah, >> that's fine. Why can't I sit in my own car for that? >> Is I'm going to get him out of the car and we're going to check your car and then we'll get you on your way. >> Oh god. When officers spotted a bottle of alcohol, she didn't admit to anything. Instead, she jumped straight into denial, insisting she hadn't been drinking. This kind of reaction is typical of people trying to avoid responsibility. But once police told her the car would be towed, the situation spiraled fast. >> You are still not free to leave. >> But I'm not under here, you're going to car. No, I'm not because you did not tell me I was under. >> You're going to get three tickets. You're going to be under arrest three times. Can you guys step out here? Here's your bag back. And then three tickets. October 28th. >> You don't even have to give me the tickets cuz I'm going to pay for my car insurance now. >> That doesn't change anything. There's still >> No, this is stopping you guys from being able to take my car tonight cuz I have no ride. So, if I have my insurance, then that'll stop you guys from stop taking my car. So, it's not. >> Yes, it does. >> So, let's not go down that road, okay? Cuz they're going to tow your car regardless. >> No, they're not. And I'm not standing outside in the rain to talk to you. >> They're going to tow when they're in there. I mean, it's not really going to accomplish anything. Yeah, I get that. Hey, what if she refuses to get out of the car for you guys? If she refuses to get out of the car, are you guys just going to hook up to it or what? >> I can just hook up to it. >> Yeah, >> I back up to it. I need you on her rear bumper so she can't take off. >> All right, great. So, let's explain this to her one more time. >> Listen, the car is getting impounded. >> At that point, her mindset became a mix of raw anger and delusional confidence. She genuinely believed that paying for insurance on the spot would magically undo the legal consequences. Her threats to sue and constant claims that she knew her rights only made it clearer. She was trying to assert control she never actually had. >> I think No, no, sir. No, sir. Y'all think only y'all know y'all rights. Absolutely wrong. I know my rights. He's not towing my car. So, Reynolds, if you put this on the thing, you're going to be sued. So, you might as well just give up on it. I'm speedy. >> You might as well get up and give up on it. >> Damage your CAR. IT'S ON YOU. >> What are you doing? >> I know my rights. That's what I'm doing. >> I know my rights. You're not going to tell me. >> Okay. I'm going to give you one last chance to get out of the car or you're going to jail. >> I'm not going to go to jail because I know my right. So, with that being said, I'm not going to stay out of the rain. We're going to start there. >> Okay. I'm not going to ask you one more time. You either step out of the car and your car is impounded or I'm >> put my car on this thing. I'mma beat your ass. Now, with that being said, I'm out of my CAR AND Y'ALL STILL DON'T RUN. >> Let's go. >> Because I know MY [ __ ] RIGHTS. Y'ALL DIDN'T READ ME NO RIGHTS, SO THEREFORE I KNOW MINE. >> DO Y'ALL KNOW Y'ALL? >> You're not being inter. >> DO YOU KNOW? EXACTLY. SO, WITH THAT being said, With that being said, I can show you my [ __ ] insurance card. Insurance is paid for. Nope. >> And it was paid before before this [ __ ] tow company got here. >> You already told me that you haven't had insurance for the past 30 days. >> Exactly. BUT IF I JUST PAY FOR MY CAR INSURANCE because someone helped me pay for my car insurance, >> you can't tow my car. >> At least I was being honest with y'all. SO NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID, YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO BE A THAT YOU BARELY GOT THAT YOU BARELY HAVE. >> ARE YOU DONE? >> NO, I'M NOT DONE CUZ I'MMA REACH YOU RIGHT BEFORE you caning read me mine. >> With that No, I'm not. I'm not. I'ming not. No, I'm not. >> All right, you guys can hook up to it. >> The to y'all. I know my >> people who think they know the law rarely get the ending they expect and this time was no different. As her illusions crumbled, the panic set in. She couldn't accept what was happening. Hang out over there. >> Can y'all let me go? All I was doing was turning MY CAR OFF. >> I GAVE you plenty of opportunity. >> All I was trying to do is get the rest of my stuff out the car and turn off my car. >> You would have to do that. >> PLEASE. OKAY. THAT'S all I WAS TRYING TO DO. CAN Y'ALL PLEASE LET ME go >> in the car? >> All I was trying to do is turn my car off. And y'all are manhandling me >> in the car. >> Can y'all let me go, please? >> In the car. >> Can y'all please let me go? Y'all are hurting my arm. Can y'all please let me go? >> Get in the car or you're going to get yourself hurt. >> Get in the car. >> Can you please uncuff my arms? >> Stay on the sidewalk for a minute. >> Not allowed to get that back. >> Not right now. >> Listen to me. Get in the car. This isn't going to go well for you. >> Y'all are trying to take me to jail for no reason. All I was trying to do is get the rest of my stuff out the car. >> Get in the car. She began throwing out wild claims, including harassment by a female officer and even sexual misconduct, all in an attempt to discredit the police and flip the narrative. It was a lastditch effort to gain back control and justify her own behavior. >> Once we go back to the police department, >> this is the whole problem. I'm steady. I'm steady standing to you guys. All I want to do is make when I got out the car, I did not feel my cell phone in my pocket. >> You want to do it? open the door to get my open the door to get my phone out the car. On July 31st, 2024, police were called to the scene of a hit-and-run crash involving a woman who fled after the collision. But as they were still working the case, something urgent happened nearby. An elderly man suddenly collapsed. And from there, [music] everything took an unexpected turn. >> Even though she'd be vulgar and stuff, basically I'll have y'all take pictures of each others and then have to go through insurance. But once confronted with surveillance footage, she was forced to admit the truth. Her unwillingness to cooperate until backed into a corner showed she had no intention of being honest unless she had no other choice. >> Okay. Hey, I have one detained in the car. She's not free to leave either. Uh they both tried to walk away and I told them not to. So, whoever is driving, I'm going to go check the cameras going to jail for hit and run cuz they tried to walk away before giving their info to this lady. >> Damn. [ __ ] >> No. Take seat over here for me. Can you turn her shut off? >> No. 60 here. >> I'm saying can you turn it off? >> We'll do that in a little bit. Okay. Right now, we're trying to figure out what's all going on. >> Oh, what's going on? >> Hey, sir. >> Your video camera right here. Can I look at it, >> please? >> Hey, Jay. Listen. I'm going to read you something real quick. Does not mean that you're going to jail right now. Just ask some questions for you about this whole situation that's going on. Okay. So your right to remain silent and safe to use against you in court. You are talking to a lawyer. Understand your rights, Jana? >> All right. >> I assisted Yes or no, ma'am. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Hey, so who is this? Your coworker you said? >> Yeah, my coworker, my best friend. >> What's her name? >> Deja. >> Deja. >> And y'all both work at the blade? >> Yeah. >> Are y'all just on break right now or >> trying to get ready to go home? >> I guess y'all just got off of work. >> Yeah. >> Who drove over here? That is all over here. >> In what car? >> Yeah, they got cameras all around this parking lot. >> Dwan, come get me. I'm I'm right here by five guys in Petco. Come get me, please. Please. Come on. Hurry up. >> Were you driving the vehicle? Just be honest. Understand there's a camera. Be honest. >> Was it a I don't know. How do you not know where you're at in the car? You driving the car. >> Okay. I said somebody hit somebody. I don't What? Did somebody get hit? >> Meanwhile, police began verifying the information of the woman who admitted to driving. Even after confessing, she showed little cooperation, acting indifferent and dismissive of the law, as if she still didn't grasp the seriousness of what just happened. >> Driver. >> I was driving. >> You're driving? >> Yep. >> Okay. I was now that I think about it. I was >> I can deal with that. I don't I don't care. >> Why didn't Why didn't you stay? You give us all your information. >> I went in there and I came back. >> That's not how it works. And you're all going to crash. You got to stay at the scene. >> Let me um if you don't mind, let me go get my work phone, record this real quick, and I'll come right back. Okay. >> I was right. Like if I up her car, I don't have no problem with that. I was trying to I was trying to I was over there. I was trying to get out the little ass part of space. I up. I [ __ ] up. >> Why didn't you just stay? >> I don't know. I'm I'm over it. I'm trying to get over this little parking space. I'm over it. We already had a We already had a rough day. A a rough day. >> Off your day rough. >> What you mean? I was rough. We please, [crying] please. [laughter] >> Ma'am, did we get your name? >> Janine. >> Okay. So, you're involved in a crash that I'm now required to do a crash report on. So, you have to identify yourself. >> Okay. Here's your key. >> She's a passenger. She's the driver. So, >> who is the driver? >> Her. >> All right. >> How do you spell Jana? JH, why you shaking? >> Huh? >> Why you shaking? >> Cuz I just fought your friend. >> H, >> calm down. H A N >> E E. >> What's your last name? >> So, what's up? >> She's going to jail. >> What? >> Why? >> Whenever I told y'all to stop, y'all are walking away. She physically resisted me trying to put her in the car. Throughout the incident, officers stayed professional. They didn't let excuses cloud the facts or the law. Although the driver was allowed to leave since there was no arrest warrant, she remained combative, directing defiance toward both the police and the victim. Her excuses grew more unreasonable, making it clear she still wasn't ready to take responsibility. >> You're going to get home. >> It's right there. >> Okay. >> I ain't telling that. I'm going I'm going get >> Okay. You're not free to leave yet. >> So, what's up? I'm waiting to see if you have a warrant or if your license is good. You're not taking her car home. >> License is good. >> Okay. >> So, you're free to leave, ma'am. You can stop talking to her. >> You can leave. >> Okay. Have a nice day. >> You have an idea. >> Don't go in this car. >> I told you not to. Don't go in this car. >> Okay. Did I open the door? >> Leave. >> Did I open the door? >> Leave. >> Did I open the door? >> I got other stuff to do right now. You're directly in the middle of it. >> If you don't leave, I'm going to >> your paperwork. >> Um, >> that's what it is, brother. >> Fair enough. >> That ain't got nothing to do with me. Please give me a alcohol TEST RIGHT NOW. PLEASE. [laughter] OH, PLEASE. You can give me an alcohol test right now. Please. [laughter] So, she's going to jail for resisting me and for hitting run into you because she never did at any point she offer her information or anything. She just cussed you up and down and left, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, do you swear that that's true? >> Okay. And I got it on video her pulling in and getting out and everything. >> Oh, I'm sorry. >> So, just give me a second. Um, and then I'll get the your paperwork and you can go. >> Anything else? After leaving the crash scene, she was formally charged with resisting without violence and leaving the scene of an accident. She later completed a pre-trial intervention program which spared her jail time, but not the legal consequences. On June 28th, 2024, police were called to a hotel after staff reported that Alana, an intoxicated employee, was causing a scene, damaging property, and assaulting co-workers. Management had lost all control, but once officers stepped in, things escalated fast. >> All right, go bear with me >> and quickly fill me in. What's going on? >> Um, >> cuz obviously we're at roll call. So, we >> inebriated. I was She was inebriated. I came up to tell her to clock out, you know, go home. >> She's under the influence of like alcohol. >> Alcohol, I believe. All right. Was there any like when she's on the clock? Was there any threat? Things like that. There was something about Violet in the past or something. >> She called names stuff like that. No, she was >> I don't give a >> Put your hand. >> Put your hands behind your back NOW. >> YOU GOT TO DO THAT. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm going home, bro. I want my stuff. This what they do. And you want me to call him on me >> like I really did something I don't give a >> m you call him before I punch you in the face >> 133 dispatch one female >> on me and said the police is here I can bring it down >> THAT'S WHY I PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE >> hey I'm not going to tell you again stand the LISTENING UP and this [ __ ] knocked me down to stand up. >> 133. >> Okay. Okay. SHUT THE [ __ ] UP, [ __ ] >> DON'T TALK TO ME. DON'T TALK TO ME. Neither will you. >> Don't talk to me. Don't talk to me, Melissa. Don't ever talk to me again. >> Don't ever talk to me again. Never. NEVER. AND I WAS SO GREAT. She refused to accept that she'd been fired and claimed she was being treated unfairly. Her verbal abuse and resistance were a defensive reaction to feeling cornered. But once the cuffs came out, Alana exploded, screaming, thrashing, and unleashing pure rage at what she saw as a violation of her freedom. >> NO, I GOT HANDCUFFS ON. >> GET THE OFF OF ME. >> THAT DON'T MEAN STAY ON ME, [ __ ] >> LET'S GO. >> I'M NOT DOING NOTHING TO YOU. I'M NOT DOING NOTHING TO THE PUBLIC. Get the off, [ __ ] STAY THE [ __ ] OFF. This [ __ ] WANT TO STAY ON ME. AND I SWEAR TO GOD, WHEN I SEE YOU, [ __ ] I'M SUCKING OIL. >> YO, stand up. Let's go. >> Nope. >> I'm going to drag you out this car again. SO, JUST DRAG ME AGAIN. Y, [ __ ] You stupid [ __ ] Yeah, you dumb ass [ __ ] You want to get me in the car like that? You want to get me IN THE CAR LIKE THAT? YOU DUMB ass bro. >> Get in the car, >> man. I ain't do [ __ ] to nobody in this drive. >> Stand up. >> You think I really did? >> 133. >> You stupid as >> standby, >> bro. You stupid as [ __ ] ON BLOOD. [ __ ] ON BLOOD. YOU STUPID. DAD, GET THE OFF ME, [ __ ] >> Why you shut up? >> Shut up. [ __ ] YOU. SHUT UP. YOU FAT [ __ ] YOU A DIRTY ASS [ __ ] YOU A DIRTY ASS COP. YOU A DIRTY ASS [ __ ] HURRY UP AND GET me the out of here, [ __ ] >> I haven't IDed her. She's an employee. Uh, she was intoxicated. Management told her, "Hey, you need to go." She said, "You just telling everybody that's off." pretty much. There's no physical threat, just that she's going to beat people ass. >> I'll kill you. I swear to God, [ __ ] I CUT YOUR THROAT. >> SHE destroyed the whole third floor, like the uh cleaning cart, all the like the towels, tossed them everywhere. There's >> She had been drinking on the job, punched another employee, and was fired for being [music] aggressive and out of control. Yet, even in the back of the patrol car, she kept screaming and cursing, desperate to claw back some sense of power. Even though it was already long gone, her anger had nowhere left to go but straight at the police and everyone around her. >> [ __ ] I'M HEY, [screaming] I'M COMING BACK UP HERE AND I SWEAR TO GOD, OLD BLOOD, I'M BEING YOUR ASS. >> WELL, if you want to, I'll roll down the window. Obviously, I can't tell her she's fired, but you're the boss. You can. And then that she's also a trespasser on property. You're not allowed. WELCOME TO COME BACK. [ __ ] I'MMA split your [ __ ] on fire. I'm splitting your [ __ ] >> All right. Do you want another charge? >> [ __ ] It ain't going TO BE A >> ALL RIGHT. You're fired and you're not allowed to come back here anymore. You come back here, you're going to be arrested for trespass. All right. >> She understands. >> I'm going to get you that form you can fill out real quick. >> Shift that we weren't aware of picked up while getting drunk. getting drunk while she's cleaning the room cuz she's housekeeping crap. >> She punched Melissa first. She ripped Melissa's hair out and then she had to do it again. Melissa took off and I convinced Alana to go get away. And then Dawn came upstairs and I was like, "Dawn, you need to go." Like cuz I Alana got riled up again cuz you need to go. Alana turned around, looked at me and said, "You've been stealing my tips." And I was like, "I would never steal from me. Like I'm trying to look her in the eye. Like I would never steal from you. Why? Why? Please, you need to stop. And she's like, "The cops are coming." I said, "Yes, I know. So calm down. Like you're making it worse." And then she goes, "Fuck you." Bam. >> Mhm. >> All I said to her was, "Please put your music down. [ __ ] you. You don't understand. These [ __ ] be high and drunk everying day. And y'all doing me like this because I'MING BLACK. THAT [ __ ] be high every day. She be high. on you good. >> All right. >> I'm not playing enough to see the game. >> All right. >> Yeah. I look good. Look at me. I look good, [ __ ] I need to smile. Silly [ __ ] [screaming] >> Witnesses later confirmed what police had suspected. Alana wasn't just disruptive. She'd been physically violent and had damaged hotel property. The breakdown inside the cruiser showed she was beginning to realize how serious this really was. But she still couldn't face it. >> Oh, me? >> Yeah, >> man. I got straight up blue hunters right now. Go to my house. Go to my house right now. We can squash this [ __ ] You need like five 600, bro. >> If you take me to jail, I'mma kill them girls. I promise you. Please take me home. Cuz if you take me to jail, I'm killing them girls. I don't want to go to jail. I don't want to go to jail. >> Okay, everyone's on scene. Making my way up to the front. >> I don't want to go to jail. Please advertisement. This is not a game. Please do your job. This ain't this ain't no game. I I want to get done and I want to get the out of here. I ain't did [ __ ] to nobody. All right. No, no, no, no. Can you put my socks up and can you do my shoes, please? And I smell like must [ __ ] a little bit. They probably won't call again. I'm not even going to cap. I'm slapping one of these hoes after I get up out these cuffs. >> Boom. Right here. >> Shut up. >> After her breakdown came something worse, indifference. She flipped back into denial, shouting threats and insults, especially toward co-workers she believed had turned her in. >> Shut the up. >> WAIT TILL THEY GIVE YOU THAT GODDAMN FOOD AND SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH. >> A question for you. >> You like one of my kids, baby. What's your last name, sir? >> Hey, YOU NEED TO SHUT THE UP, PO. >> [ __ ] YOU AIN'T NEVER BEEN TO BLOOD. YOU TALKING ABOUT DON'T NOBODY KNOW YOU. >> HEY. HEY. HEY, SHUT the up. >> [ __ ] I KILLED YOU AND YOUR MAMA, [ __ ] [ __ ] ON BLOOD. WHAT'S UP? Let's go. YEAH. YEAH. You done? >> Shut the UP. >> SHUT THE UP, [ __ ] I KILL YOU. >> YEAH. AND MY [ __ ] REAL GOOD. >> NO, IT IT DON'T MATTER THOUGH. EVEN IF IT DO, [ __ ] MY [ __ ] PAY ALL THE BILLS. STEAK IN THE NIGHT, >> [ __ ] >> We're going to walk this way. >> We're walking to jail, man. >> I want you TO GO TO JAIL, MAN. >> EVENTUALLY, Alana was taken to jail and formally charged with disorderly [music] conduct, resisting an officer, and making criminal threats. The result, she spent 29 days behind bars and was hit with an $800 fine for her violent outburst and refusal to back down. On July 24th, 2023 in Athens, Georgia, [music] police were called after reports of a violent domestic dispute. A frantic woman claimed her roommate had kicked down her door and attacked her. [music] But when officers arrived, the story began to unravel in ways no one expected. The problem is you when you put your hand on me put my hand on you. Don't put your hand first. >> You a liar. >> Okay. Hang tight. Hang tight. >> I was in my room. >> Okay. >> As a matter of fact, tell me. >> When I OPEN THE DOOR, YOU HIT ME FIRST. >> Hang tight. Came in my room. >> Hang tight. I'm going to go talk. Okay. So, what's up? >> Every day there's a problem with my baby. >> Okay. >> My baby got 88 D. She got mental problem. Every day one her man s they yelling at her all day. I'm tired. >> Okay. >> I don't have nothing. >> Yeah. That's my sister. >> Okay. >> That's all it is to it. >> That's your sister? >> Yes. >> The to you that you got into it? >> Yes. >> Okay. Walk me through the kind of the physical altercation. >> Huh? >> Walk me through the physical altercation that happened. >> She was about to jump. I busted in her room. She hit me. I hit her back. >> Okay. So, you busted in her room? >> Yep. She hit me. I hit her back. >> Okay. Where'd she hit you? >> She Well, a whole bunch of hair pulling. >> Okay. So, she pulled your hair. Yeah. And then you was the altercation over >> the kids. They bad as hell. And I told them cuz I walked in the bathroom. The youngest one got the blow dryer in the sink. So I was yelling at them about that. Then she come talking about I'm being mean and how I talk to her just like I talk to my child. >> But evidently it's a problem because y'all talk to my child like that daily. >> Gotcha. >> Come over here Callie. >> All right. So what happened? >> Okay. My niece her she been fussing at my niece since she got here. And you fussing at y I ain't been saying to your child. My niece they whatever they did I said okay. Well, y'all why y'all leave the thing up in the sink right there? I said, "Why you keep sitting here um yelling at my child at my niece? Cuz you've been doing this since she got here." So, I thought my niece in the room with me. >> Okay. >> So, I said, "Well, you then she come busting. She kicked in my bedroom door cuz my boyfriend had locked the door. She kicked my door in and she died on the bed on me in front of my niece, which is what she was for in the first place. She came in there." >> As officers listened to both sides, cracks appeared in [music] Mia's version of events. At first, she claimed she fought back. Later, she admitted [music] only to pulling hair. Meanwhile, Relle's statement about the door being kicked in was backed up by the broken frame, strengthening her credibility. >> Door. >> Yeah. >> And came in the room and she hit me. >> When you So, did she hit you with a closed fist, open fist? >> No, she just dived over on me. >> Like dove on top of me. >> On top of the bed. >> Okay. And that's when she pulling her. >> Yes. And that's when he was started breaking it up, but my door was locked. So, why did you kick my door? >> I got you. right behind the door to get the door open. So I'm telling you, see I got another dog in my room. So I'm telling >> like open the door, let the dog out like he he bite you, but he like he mean he see them. >> Can you spell that for me? >> M I Y >> Ca. I'm on parole. >> Okay. Date of birth >> 1994. >> Okay. So >> you want to hang up the phone for me? >> Hold on. I'll call y'all back. >> So you're on parole, right? >> Yes. Why are you busting in people's rooms and fighting? >> Sir, >> sir, I wouldn't even try and fight. >> Okay, >> when somebody hit you, aren't you going to hit back? You stop to protect and serve yourself, right? >> I got you. But the the the main factor here is you're busting into a closed room that she's in, right? She's inside of a room. You already told me you busted through the door >> to begin this whole argument, right? >> And then you So, you busted through the statue earlier. You said y'all were pulling each other's hair. >> Yeah, but I didn't hit her. I held her down. I didn't hit her. >> She hit me. I didn't hit You held her down. >> Yes. >> And started pulling her hair, >> huh? >> Yeah. That was holding her down. >> Okay. So, >> argument begins hallway over the kids in the sink. The or the uh haird dryer in the sink, right? >> Mhm. >> She goes into her room, locks the room. >> No, it wasn't locked. >> Closes the door. >> It wasn't even closed. It was behind it. It wasn't closed. >> So, the door wasn't closed. >> No. >> Door was open. You walked right in. >> Okay. And then what happened? She hit me and I hit her back. Her back. >> So where where did she hit you? >> I don't know. It swung and I hit her back. >> She just swung at you? >> Yeah. And I hit her back. >> And you hit her back. When you when you say you hit her back, what do you mean by that? >> Well, I really didn't even hit her. I grabbed her and swung her on the bed. That was it. We didn't even hit each other. We just pulled hair. >> Okay. So nobody hit each other. >> No, nobody hit nobody. We just pulled each other hair. >> Okay. So who pulled whose hair first? >> Her. She pulled your hair first. >> Oh yeah, we're just we're >> all I know she hit me. I hit her then. Well, it wasn't even a hit. After she swung, I grabbed her and threw on the bed. I didn't even hit her. >> When pressed, Mia doubled [music] down, but her story fell apart. She denied the door had been locked, then shifted details [music] about who started the fight. Her contradictions revealed a loss of control. She was making it up as she went. >> Is she going to hit me? how my nose get busted and my my face get stretched if you ain't hit me. >> So I I got you. >> Yeah. >> Got time for these games. I'm not going to >> Are we all good? >> Are we all good, man? >> Okay. >> Hey. >> Hi. >> What are you doing? >> Hello. >> Is the door busted or anything like that? >> All right. But then right here door was >> the door automatically closed. >> Yeah. Yeah. Automatic closed and then you could you lock it right here. But see >> if you came in I'm standing over here. >> Yeah. They do on the bed like this. So it pushes the door so like it's hard for me to break. >> Yeah. So the door automatically closes. >> No, it's a bag behind it. But you know >> there's a Oh, the bag behind it. So this that whole thing. Okay. And she Did she ever punch you or was it just kind of ensuing through the hole? >> And so you So I'm in the middle of like she th on her and [ __ ] like that. I jumped in the middle best I could. And I mean you see she a good girl and her girl smile. I'm in the middle. Get out the way. I'm trying to make sure the dog don't bite down one of them nor me. You know what I mean? So when >> I tell the boat like y'all stop brother go like >> so when she walked so when she busted through the door what happened? >> [ __ ] she go on top or >> All right. So if the door was not locked why are the kids on scene saying the door is locked? >> Them heard me. >> Okay. >> You wouldn't lie. >> Huh? >> You wouldn't lie. >> I'm just trying to figure out what happened. Everybody >> I'm just saying you want to lie. >> Okay. All right. So, >> all I'm saying this is a little much cuz >> I I don't even understand none of this. >> I got you. Okay. How did she get that scratch on her face? >> She has lupus and she has lupus flares to where she sits and pick her face. >> Okay. That that's clearly like a fingernail scratch to the face. >> Oh, I didn't see it. >> Didn't see it. >> No. I went into my room, called my mother, then when I came back, y'all was here. Kylie, come on. and you guys. >> Scratches across Rochelle's face became undeniable proof of an [music] assault. Mia tried to explain them away as symptoms of lupus, but the marks clearly matched fingernail [music] scratches, not illness. At this point, police had enough to make the arrest, but Maya still refused to accept reality. >> You're under arrest for battery. Okay. Family violence. >> Can I please wait until somebody come get my baby? This is >> How far are they? >> Who's coming to get your child? I don't know. >> You make cool with me cuz I'm going to give you two handcuffs. Okay. I'm not trying to hurt your shoulder. >> Please wait until somebody come get my baby. This is crazy. >> Is there somebody? >> Can you please reach back here and grab my phone so I can call my mom? >> I sure will. Let me just double this for you. Okay. >> You do nothing for me to be giving But this is crazy. This is really crazy. Yeah. Can you press the little recent thing down there? >> You got anything on your Ruby? >> Yeah. >> This is real crazy. >> Can you please wait until my mama get here so I can make sure my baby is safe? >> Hello. >> Yeah. >> Can y'all please? They locking me. >> Come on. >> This is not even right that I'm the one being locked up in this. >> Are they just slides? >> Where Where are we going to find the shoes at? >> Need a pair of shoes. Where are we going to find those at? I've never been in your house. >> And that's why I don't understand why I'm being the one locked up for right now. >> I'm going to talk to this. Who? Who is this? Your mama. >> That's my sister, bro. >> Hello, >> Rashelle. Bro, you know this ain't right, >> man. >> Okay, I'm going to put you in Hey, come here. >> You I don't I don't even want to talk to you. I promise we got to get in this car. Talk to you. Okay, >> I don't I don't want to talk to you. >> How How I'm not understanding. >> Searching me as you will. >> Oh, >> that spoke to her. Um, but we'll wait around till somebody comes and gets the child. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. We'll be here. >> That's how this works. >> Okay. This ain't right, bro. >> Well, >> I understand that you feel that way. >> I'm >> there's a court system. >> She constantly interrupted the officers, [music] refusing to listen. Classic behavior from suspects who feel they've been treated unfairly. As the truth closed in, her anger gave way to helplessness with fear surfacing and worried please about her daughter. >> My charge said, "Are you okay with her going to grab some stuff to get your >> I don't have no say so, do I? >> We're trying to help you out here." >> How? And I'm being locked up for nothing. >> Well, the other option is since nobody's here to pick your kid, we call defax. >> So, >> yes. >> Go ahead. So this right here is the you said you're familiar with this. >> The victim bill rights. Okay. So we got some numbers in there. Is this her child? Mhm. >> Okay. Uh her mom. >> I just popped through. >> Okay. Are you good with taking care of her till they get here? >> Okay. So I'm trying to help you out. That's fine. Yeah. They've already been here. They on their way. >> If y'all going to take me, I'm ready to go. Okay. All right. Walk this way. Did you uh get the uh crime crime victim's bill of rights? >> Can I at least hug my baby? >> Huh? >> Can I at least hug my baby? >> Do you want her to see you like that? >> I don't, but I ain't got no choice. She already seen me get handcuffed, sir. Can you please bring my baby so I can kiss her? Please talking about do I want for her to see me like >> I got to make sure my baby all right. >> I got you. >> Did you feel something going on? I would have felt better. We all got locked up. >> So like I was trying to explain to you earlier. We have to identify a prominent a prominent uh suspect. Okay. You busting into her door into her room starting the whole thing. She's got marks on her face. She has lupus which the marks came from. I ain't putting there but >> I I'll can I ask you a question since you are an officer? >> Yes, ma'am. >> You have kids? >> Do I have kids? No, ma'am. >> But if you had kids, could you be somebody talking to your kids, popping your kids for no reason? >> I understand. >> In the end, Mia was booked into jail and charged with domestic battery for breaking [music] into her roommate's room and initiating the attack. If convicted, the consequences could range from fines and probation to real time behind bars depending on her record and the severity of the offense. >> This Karen is extremely racist, behaves rudely, and gets exactly what she deserves. >> This Karen flies off the handle at the police after her boyfriend runs off with her dog. In today's show, let's all get together and meet these rebellious Karens. We'll start with a young lady who had too much to drink and ended up dozing off right in front of a Taco Bell entrance. On December 11th, 2021, the police got called out to a Taco Bell after someone reported seeing a woman passed out in her car in the drive-thru lane. The cops showed up fast and here's what went down. >> You need to put your car in park. >> Okay. >> What's going on? I'm just ready to go home. >> Okay, we're going to be step outside the vehicle. >> Okay. All right. >> Nope. You're stepping outside the vehicle. >> Okay. All right. Well, I'm just going to go. >> No, you're not going to We're have you step outside the vehicle. Okay. >> Okay. How can I go? >> Nope. You're going to step outside the vehicle. >> Step out of the vehicle. >> Come on. >> I know. But it's cold. >> It is cold. Huh? >> You have to rest. >> She's a I need to talk to you first. So, >> all right. All right. Can I >> I need you to step outside the vehicle. >> Okay. All right. All right. All right. >> Nope. Nope. This is the last time I'm going to ask you. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. >> Dozing off in a public drive-thru is a pretty big red flag. This could mean she was hammered or under the influence of something else. Along with that open can of beer, while it doesn't immediately prove guilt, it's solid enough evidence to justify a deeper look. Now, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right this time to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each of these rights as I've explained them to you? Okay. So, what's going on tonight? >> I'm just trying to get home. >> Okay. How much have you had to drink tonight? >> Um, not much, honestly. >> Okay. Yeah. >> So, you weren't even able to follow instructions? Let's walk over here. >> All right. So, you're asleep in the drive-thru of Taco Bell parking lot. >> Sorry. >> Can I help you something? >> I'm so sorry. Can I get a jump? >> No, we can't. We're not allowed to cuz >> Okay. Sorry. >> Sorry, man. >> So, tell me what's going on tonight. >> Um, honestly, I'm just tired. Want to go home. >> Okay. So, >> how much have you to drink tonight? >> Um, not very much. I went to pick my friends up from the bar and I went in to give them a jump from home and then I ended up staying for a little bit and then I was hungry and I went to the drive-thru. >> Okay. And then you you fell asleep. >> Yeah, I'm tired. It's been a long week. It's been hectic for the finals and stuff, so >> I am tired, but >> Okay. >> I'm not drunk driving, but >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> There was a beer in your cup holder. >> Okay. Thanks. >> So, you were drinking and driving? >> No, that was not mine. >> Okay. But it's open right next to you. >> Yeah, that was mine from like 2 days ago. >> Okay. I think >> field sobriety tests, FSTs, are the standard go-to for checking if someone's too impaired to drive. She did poorly, which not only confirmed she was under the influence, but also gave some undeniable visual proof. >> Have you taken anything else tonight? >> Um, nope. >> Are you sure? >> Yep. >> Cuz you're you're having a real hard time sitting still, which tells me maybe you took a stimulant. >> No. >> No cocaine or anything like that? >> No. I'm just I think I'm just tired, a little overwhelmed from finals and stuff, but >> Hey, will you hang for this first test? So, I'm I'm going to be giving you a couple tests. Um I'm going to be evaluating you based on your ability to perform the test and your ability to follow instructions. Okay. >> Okay. >> Um are you taking any medications in the last 24 hours? >> No. Are you under the care of a doctor or dentist? >> No. I'll get it back to you so it's not bothering you. >> Thank you. >> Do you wear contacts? >> No. >> Glasses? >> No. >> Okay. So, for this first test, I'm going to have you do is go and put your feet together and keep your arms at your sides. You're going to stand straight and look straight at my pen. Okay. >> Okay. >> You're going to look at the top of my pen. Can you see it? >> Yep. >> What color is it? >> It's blue. >> Okay. You're going to follow the top of my pen with your eyes and your eyes only. Okay. >> Okay. Move your head. >> So remember, keep your head still. Okay. >> Okay. For this next test, what I'm going to have you do, I'm going to put you in what's called the starting position. Okay? So, you're going to imagine that there is go stay there. Um, we'll face have you face this direction. Okay. >> Tried to follow instructions but struggled with doing them right. That doesn't necessarily mean she was being difficult. Her motor skills and focus may have been shot because her blood alcohol level was through the roof. >> One, two, three. >> Okay. >> I took three. You're going to take nine. >> Okay. >> Do you have any questions before we begin? >> Nope. >> All right. You may begin. >> One, two, three, four. 5 6 >> Remember to keep your arms at your sides. >> Seven 8 9 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 >> All right. 1,002 1003 >> All right. Do you Do you not understand the instructions? >> Do you need me to go over the instructions one more time for you? Okay. >> You're going to lift the foot of your choice 6 in off the ground. You're going to look at your toe. Keep your arms at your sides. You're going to count out loud in this exact manner. 1,00 1,002 1,003. You're going to continue until I instruct you to stop. >> All right. Do you have any questions? to hold the foot. >> Yeah. You're going to lift your foot 6 in off the ground parallel to the ground. >> No walking. >> Oh no. Okay. Okay. I'm ready. >> You may begin. >> 1678. >> All right. You can stop. One last uh thing I'm going to ask you to do is if you'd be willing to provide a uh breath sample to our uh portable breath test. basically won't replace any evidentary tests we might ask you to do later. >> Okay. >> Are you willing to provide a blood sample? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, how much did you really have to drink tonight? >> Um I um I was doing my homework for like two days straight. >> Mhm. And then I went to Bala and I had like I think I had four beers and then I I just was going home. I'm just tired. >> What time did you have the beers at? >> Um I think that's about 10:30. >> About what time? >> About 10 or 10:30. >> Okay. do is you're going to take a big deep breath and blow as hard as you can. Okay? Okay. All right. Big deep breath and blow as hard as you can. Blow harder. Blow harder. Blow harder. Blow harder. Blow harder. Blow harder. Blow harder. Okay. Now, this isn't going to be a surprise. >> Um 08. >> Yeah, this is 249. >> Okay. That's quite a bit above the limit, right? >> Yeah. >> On actually. I'm so sorry. >> All right. So, you are under arrest still. Okay. So, we're going to put your hands behind your back. So, you're under arrest for DUI. Do a quick search of you. Do you have anything in your pockets? All right. So, I'm going use the back of my hand. Check your chest area. Check your pockets. Well, you know, you can't be driving under the influence, but it's not the, you know, there's a chance for you to turn everything around, too, right? >> All right. I'm going to check the back of your pocket. >> Check your other side. [snorts] What's this? >> Um, I'm not sure. I think it's from the seat. Oh, it's a tissue. >> Tissue. Okay. >> There's nothing inside the tissue. Nothing. No. >> Okay. Have you taken anything other than alcohol tonight? >> No, just a lot. Alcohol. >> Too much beer. >> Just too much beer. >> So, >> okay. >> I'm so sorry. >> And even while you're back here, you're still being audio and video recorded. Okay. >> Okay. >> They took her back to the station to finish up the paperwork. You might have noticed she was rocking a Budweiser hoodie, which makes it all kind of ironic. Got to give her credit, though. Despite being drunk, she was polite, cooperative, and showed the cops respect. >> I just need to get the tears off my chin. >> Okay. Well, I'll be jealous handcuffs once we get inside here. Okay. >> All right. >> This direction, walk straight and then turn right and face the wall. And then you go and go inside there. Um, so you are arrested for DUI um, driving under the influence. Uh, is this your have you ever been arrested before? Okay. So, you haven't been arrested uh for DUI previously. The maximum time we can hold you for is 6 hours. Um, it's likely you'll be let out before then. Um, so you're not going to be in here for all weekend or whatever. Does that make sense? So, we're just going to go through um this process and then we'll go from there. Okay. So, I'm going to read you some things. Um these are your constitutional rights. You have the right to remain silent. You have the right this and then just try. Can you keep your hands uh on your lap, please? Thank you. And then just confirm you don't want to sign this right now. >> Okay. All right. So, signing this just says that I have read to you all of that. >> I want to just deny all of it. >> Okay. >> Just No, I don't want to answer. >> Okay. >> Sorry. >> So, you don't want to sign this? >> Nope. >> Okay. All right. So, are you refusing the breath test? >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> All that. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Um, before we continue, would you like to speak to a lawyer before you make that decision? >> No. No. >> You do not want to speak to a lawyer? >> Okay. And you don't want to take this test? >> Okay. Do you understand the In the end, she was arrested and charged with DUI? On August 23rd, 2023, a police officer spotted and pulled over a woman who was speeding and weaving through her lane. Here's what went down next. >> I'm Officer Queen. The reason I pulled you over is you were speeding. Do you have your license, registration, insurance? >> Have you had anything to drink tonight? >> No. >> Nothing at all? >> Not at all. >> All right. Give me one second. >> All right. Norma, you said you haven't had anything to drink tonight? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. You have any narcotics or cannabis or anything? >> Okay. Listen, between your driving >> with your speeding and your your drifting, I told you you were speeding. You was doing 69 and a 50 and you were also bouncing in the lane and you you passed that other car really close. All right. So, I'm concerned. I want to make sure that you're not driving under the influence. Okay. >> No, no, no, not at all. Seriously, no. I live around the corner. I went to town north. I have to work tomorrow 9:00 in the morning. Like, I'm I'm not look like >> I want to make sure that you're not under the influence. All right. So, come on out me real quick. We'll make sure that you're not and we'll be on your way. All right. >> Make sure what? >> Make sure you're not under the influence. Make sure you're not driving under the influence. >> No. Listen, I'm not going to do any test. I'm not an influence. I want to >> Okay. Well, you got to you got to come out of the car. I asked you to exit the vehicle. You have to exit the vehicle. Okay. Get out your lawyer. I should call my lawyer. >> No, you're not allowed to call your lawyer right now. Just go ahead and step out with me real quick. >> What's going on? Like, >> you're being instructed to exit the vehicle, ma'am. So, go ahead and exit the vehicle and we'll explain everything to you. Okay. >> Even if you called your lawyer, your lawyer's going to tell you if the police tell you to get out of the car, you got to get out of the car. >> Do you mind if I call somebody? >> Yes, I do mind. So, go ahead and step out of the vehicle. Okay. >> Can they call it after? Like >> Yeah, you can call after. You can't call right now. No, but >> you're being instructed to exit the vehicle. >> Exit the vehicle. >> Supposed to listen to >> You're being instructed to exit. Come on. >> After dragging her feet for a bit, the woman finally got out of the car, but insisted on keeping her phone in hand and wasn't thrilled about how things were being handled. >> So, I turn off my car. Whatever. >> It's up to you. Just come on out. Just step out with us. >> So, do you mind if I have my phone or something? >> Yeah, you can leave your phone on the back there. We're recording also. We both have cameras on the back of your car. >> I'm sorry. It's just >> No, no, no, no. You're not allowed back into the vehicle. Come on over here. Okay. So, let me explain something to you. Okay. I want you to do roadside sobriety exercises. Okay. Are you going to let me talk or are you going to talk over me? >> Can I Can I say something? >> No. You've been saying stuff behind the wheel when you weren't getting out. Okay. So, now I'm trying to explain it to you. You wanted me to explain it to you? >> Yeah, for sure. Can you put the light down? >> Don't worry about the light. The light's fine. I ain't bothering nobody. Okay. >> It bothers me. >> Okay. Well, you know what bothers me is your lack of cooperation. Okay. I'm trying to explain something. >> I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to. I didn't. >> So, let me just explain it to you here. Let's come on this side of out of the roadway. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> All right. So, go ahead and just stand right there. Okay. So, listen. >> I want to do roadside sobriety exercise to make sure you're not under the influence. Okay. You got glassy, watery eyes. I can hear a slur in your speech the way you were driving. And you're kind of acting a little erratic right now. Okay. So, I want to make sure that you're not under the influence. Okay. >> No, it's not crazy at all. >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Okay. >> I'm safe. Everything's very like this is >> He's just trying to explain something to you. >> Yeah. But I I don't know if like I don't know if you're going to be like in trouble or something for saying something wrong that I don't understand the language. >> If you say nothing at all, you won't get in trouble. If you let him talk, let him explain it to you. >> Okay. Then afterwards, >> we're getting a translate. >> All right. Thank you. >> Keep her there. Let me see. >> Okay. What are they going to do? Attack you. Keep you there. What does that means? >> It means stay there. >> Keep you there. Seriously, what are they going to do? >> It means stay there. Don't go in the car. Don't go over there. That's what it means. I'm a wild animal or something like that. >> I don't know you. You don't know me. We're not friends. You didn't want to come out of the car. >> I'm not afraid. Like the guy is like telling me that I doing all like >> He explained everything to you. He wasn't being rude. He wasn't being disrespectful. >> He wasn't, but I didn't understand. So, I don't want him to >> Well, he was trying to agree to something. >> Listen, he was trying to explain it to you, but you kept talking over him, >> but I don't understand what he's saying. Imagine somebody telling you something, you don't understand the language and you're like, "Oh, I say yes." But then he did say something that I was driving and I was and I was speaking. Yeah, I'm foreign and I'm like driving. I live around the corner. Like, I don't know how to think about driving. I drive here every day. Okay. >> Calling for an interpreter was a smart move, making sure the driver fully understood the situation and avoiding any bogus claims later on. Still, it looked like she understood basic English, but was stalling on purpose. She kept interrupting, which only cranked up the tension and slowed everything down. >> What's your name, officer? >> Officer Flink. It'll be on your ticket when you receive it. >> Officer one. >> Officer Flink. >> Flank. >> Yeah. >> So, what is the purpose of this? What do you want to do if I'm drunk? I want to make sure that you're not under the influence. >> Safe. I'm like 2 minutes from my house. >> Okay. Well, there's a couple major intersections between here and your house and a lock. >> What do you think I am? What do you think I'm like this? >> It's not up to me to think. Okay. >> It's up to me to make determinations based on on factual evidence. Okay. >> Then what is your evidence against me? >> Well, that's the thing is that I'm trying to discuss this with you with these exercises. Are you going to keep talking over me? >> You know what? That's that's the problem. That's where this translation is the issue is that you don't listen. You just talk 100%. That is the issue. You haven't listened since you got pulled over. You just talk over me. And that's why now I got to have a a translator come out here so that you can try to understand it a little bit better because you're not listening to me. Now listen or are you going to talk? >> I understand. >> Okay. So, I want to do roadside exercises with you to make sure that you're not under the influence. If you are not under the influence, you go home. >> Can I ask the question? >> Go ahead and ask the question. >> So, what is the exercise on? >> There's three exercises. One of them I'm going to check out your eyes. The other one you're going to walk the line. And the last one, you're going to balance on one foot. And if you can do those things, >> what was the last one? I I couldn't understand. Bounce on my feet. Balance >> again with the interruptions. balance on one foot. >> Do I want to I have a question. What did I get? >> Right. They they're all going to be explained to you. Well, you didn't raise your hand on that last one. You kind of just interrupted me like you've been doing. Okay. So, the first one again, I'm going to check out your eyes. >> The real problem was that she got it. She just didn't want to listen. The cops stuck to protocol and patiently explained every step. That's super important to show they were being transparent if anyone questions the arrest later. >> You want to go ahead and try the exercises? We'll wait for the translator. We'll wait for the translator just so that later on we can't say that you didn't understand a certain thing. >> It is unbelievable. >> Do you mind if I walk into my car? >> I mind. >> As this officer said, you are detained right now. You're not free to go. You're not free to move about this area. >> Detained. >> Detained. >> That means you stay right there. You don't move. >> Arrest. >> No. There's two different things between being arrested and detained. >> Let her know she was stopped for doing 69 and a 50. She was drifting in her lane and she passed the car in close proximity. exercises. You're not going to dispel my concern that you're driving under the influence. Do you understand what that means? >> No. >> If you don't do these exercises, I'm not just going to say, "All right, she didn't do them, and I'm just going to walk away." >> I understand. >> Okay. >> Next, you will force me to make an arrest based on the totality of the circumstances as I know them to this point. Do you know what that means? >> No. >> It means that if you don't do these exercises, you will be placed under arrest regarding everything that I know up to this point. your driving pattern, everything I'm seeing, your attitude and so on. >> So, what can you She's saying that she doesn't trust you because you're a bad cop and you're making things up. >> The beginning like you're just >> Okay. So, >> but my integrity is not in question here. Your sobriety is in question. >> I'm not sorry for that. >> Yeah, but I'm I'm sorry that you just know about my solarity. Like you just don't like me and I think like I don't >> No, I just don't like I just don't like impaired drivers. I don't care about you as an individual. >> 65. I was >> No, you weren't 65. You were 69. >> No, I wasn't. I was 69. >> Well, that's a matter for the courts, okay? Do you understand everything that this officer explained to you about if you don't do these exercises, you're not you're going to force me to make an arrest? >> He was out in the process. >> She started to look panicked, which is pretty common when someone being arrested doesn't totally grasp the legal process or it might have been nothing but crocodile tears. >> Are you willing to do roadside exercises? >> Not with you. >> All right. place under arrest. >> Okay. >> You didn't say they're going to arrest me. >> Oh, yes, I certainly did. >> That was the whole thing that we explained about. It will force me to make an arrest. Okay. Hey. Uh, she's asking for her cell phone or whatever. >> Yeah, we'll get that. Come over here. >> You're normal, right? >> Yes. Can I ask some questions before I get my cell phone and everything? >> Yeah, you can ask them over here. We got to search you though before you get in the car. Come on. >> No. >> Yeah. All right. >> Okay. You have anything illegal on you? >> No. >> Anything that's going to poke me or stick me? Anything that's going to poke me or stick me? >> No. No. >> Nice and wide. Lift your tongue up. You got gum in your mouth. You chewing gum in the bath. Yes, you split it up. Thank you. >> Open up again for me. Nice and wide. >> Lift your tongue up one more time. >> But can I ask a question? So, I want to go to jail. So, tonight all night >> 8 hours and then you'll be released. >> Okay. >> During a search, they found a box with a pipe for smoking weed. In the end, she got hauled off to jail and faced charges for DUI, obstructing an investigation, and possession of marijuana. On June 30th, 2023, the cops got called out to a residential area to file a report on an accident and help settle a dispute. Things escalated because the suspect wouldn't own up or cooperate. Her behavior clearly came from her prejudices and flatout refusal to handle things in a legal, civilized way. Here's what went down when the police arrived. >> You sure? Cuz she about to go. >> Well, she has it right away. They met up with I I have two kids from >> So, what happened? I find you on the street. I hear you from the cop in your nose. >> Ma'am, I'm ask one more time. Just step over here. >> Hello. >> Thank you. >> Call your brother. Call somebody black. >> You should take them back to Mexico. >> One more time. >> Take it back to Mexico. >> Go back to Mexico. >> That's your car. THE WHITE CAR. >> YES. [screaming] RIGHT off the bat, the officers took the smart approach by trying to calm everything down and gather info from the passengers instead of getting into a head-on clash with the suspect. But the woman wouldn't just refuse to cooperate. She started spewing hateful nonsense, making the cop's job a whole lot harder. >> All like she stuck out of car. They just kept going. Isn't it like a Oh, you can take a report or something like that. >> So there is a report going to be made. >> Is you were in the car with her? >> Yeah, I was in the passenger. So, I mean, if she calm down, we can actually get this stuff rectified. But her acting like this, ain't nothing going to get fixed. >> I I I feel you. I I understand that. But somebody has to do something. If you want to go in her car and get her documents for me, cuz the report is going to be made regardless. >> I need her license, registration, and proof of insurance. All that needs to be inside the crash report, right? And then we'll take a story from >> whoever, whoever was driving, we we'll ask these questions. But her yelling and trying to fight the people, we can't we're only getting one side of the story. She's not even given a side of a story. They sped up. They sped up. >> Okay. I'm trying to figure out you have your license. >> Come on. >> Your car is pretty much >> what? It's pretty much what? >> I don't know if it's drive if it's driveable. >> I don't think so. Will you help me out and ski? Well, >> you dumbies. I was spitting you ON YOU. WHOA, WHOA, >> WHOA. RELAX. RELAX. YEAH, we're going to have to we're going to have to call for something >> for nobody else cuz stupid had ME RUSHING HER AND YOU >> CAN you explain what happened again cuz I couldn't hear. >> So she was driving. >> She was driving on heels. >> Stop right there and nobody nobody was coming. She kept driving. This car just came all over this zone like >> just kept going and stopping up. It just kept going and just kept going. >> Is there like coming? >> Yeah. Uh-huh. >> Somebody's coming to pick y'all up. >> Okay, cool. >> Undable, right? >> No, it's not. >> It's It's not. It's not. I don't know what to tell you. It's easily fixable. You just can't drive it right now. >> How much is it fixable? >> I don't know. When the record gets here, it's okay. So listen, man. Go to your car. Go to your car. Your car. Your car. Your car. To the car. To the car. >> Do me a favor. No. No. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. You can't sit in the middle of the street. >> Stand up. >> I don't want to. >> You have no choice but stand up. Stand up. You have to stand up. You have to stand up. You don't want to sit in the middle of the street. >> I don't want to. >> At least sit on the sidewalk because your car is coming down the street. I don't want to have to pick you up. >> Okay. Can you stand up for me? Can you please stand up for me? Just stand up. >> Help me out. I need help. >> So then listen, you can come over here, right, and have a seat. Just sit down. Sit down and relax. It's okay. All right. Just have a seat. >> She's got no business calling anyone ugly. Maybe she should invest in a mirror. The way she pointed fingers and refused to take responsibility shows she was looking for trouble on purpose. >> You're ugly. I'm not going nowhere. I'm not going nowhere. Leave me alone. Look, >> I'm not about to chase her down. >> I'm not I'm not chasing her, bro. >> It's crisis. It's crisis. >> It's crisis. Give me a >> It's crisis. It's crisis. >> Listen. We should get told, bro. >> She's clearly out of >> GO TO MEXICO. GO TO MEXICO. Go to Mexico. Go to Mexico. >> Live where YOU LIVE AT. LIVE YOUR HOUSE. I you put together >> you car. >> No. How about that? >> The police realized they couldn't keep this under control by talking it out and decided to go ahead and arrest her. That was the best call to keep everyone else safe and stop the situation from going completely off the rails. Yeah. What's up? You're not on my way. >> My car is still >> They escorted her to the cruiser to take her down to the station and she kept on taunting the officers the whole time. I I'm not the one. I'm not the one for tell you. Thank you. Swag. >> Thank you. >> We'll be going by tomorrow. We'll be going by tomorrow. >> Excuse me. The officers explained it was a civil issue, not a criminal one, so there wasn't much they could do. But the woman kept dialing 911 with a nasty attitude which forced the officers to come back. >> Call me 10 times. Are you calling me because they >> Can you hang up the phone? Can you hang up the phone? Do you need medical attention? >> No. >> We're here. So, how can we help you? >> I don't need you here. I need you to go get my dogs. >> No, you're not. >> Okay. Eventually, she got hauled off to jail and slapped with charges for assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and abusing the 911 system that could land her with fines and some time behind bars. On August 28th, 2022, officers spotted a white Chevy Tahoe flying through a residential neighborhood before crashing into a parked car in someone's front yard. The driver took off [music] on foot like it was second nature. And here's how it all went down. Tyler, a white Chevy 927. He's about 100 milesPH. It's a black male. He just he just 1050. E1050 with another vehicle. Uh I'm in 1131 block. Lexington and Tyler. He's on foot. Blackmail. Where is he? Where is he? Ah a 9712 and I have not located the guy. >> Yeah. Where? >> Okay. Is anybody hurt? >> No. Thank god they have three little kids. We're going to go get the kids. This is the mom. >> Okay. Nobody's hurt inside the car. >> Okay. Was this a park car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do we know where the guy went? That's what I'm trying to find. >> He had a red shirt on. >> Okay. Black male. [music] >> Last scene west on Lexington between Tyler and Grant. Black male, red shirt. >> You see him or no? >> He did behind where? You uh went that way. >> This guy ran like someone who's done it before. No hesitation, no looking back. To him, consequences are just the cost if you get caught. But right now, freedom's the only thing that matters. >> CM124 headquarters. Copy. A second 28. This will be a struck vehicle. Were they Were there kids outside when this happened? >> I don't think they were. >> Okay. Is everybody accounted for? >> Okay. >> Okay. Who lives here? >> He does. >> Okay. >> Whose vehicle is this one? >> That's his. >> Okay. >> What concerns me is we've got people with like open garages and how, you know, people are home and Yeah. So, >> I saw him come through there. Um, >> I'll call my house, which is two blocks away, and just tell him to close the garage door to tell that route to all the neighbors. >> Yeah. What you after him for? >> Driving really fast down state. I lit him up and he just took off at 100. So, I discontinued and >> 100. >> He had been going at least 100 down the street. >> Yeah, I saw. >> That' be my guess. I I stopped way back there cuz >> this is in game, man. There's houses there. You can't make that turn. >> I Yeah, I don't know. >> Um, can I get your information? Do you have a driver's license or whatever for for your vehicle? And then insurance information. It was parked, correct? >> Okay. >> Yeah. No, I just got home. While patrol units swarmed the neighborhood, one group of officers spotted him just a few blocks away, hanging out near a liquor store like it was any other day. Calm as ever. Either he's got nerves of steel or he actually thinks he's invisible. >> I think he's going to be in front of the liquor mart right now. Does appear to be Malik. Stop. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Malik, you're under arrest. >> Fleeing an officer and warrants. Warrants. Warrants. Out of breath. >> That's what you fled from officers like last week for, isn't it? The warrants. >> What? I haven't even been in town. >> Just keep playing stupid. Whatever. I don't >> I haven't been in town, bro. I just got out of jail a couple days ago. >> Okay. Maybe you got picked up on the warrants. 133 headquarters. Tattoo Malik's in custody. >> Hey, what happened? >> What's that? >> What happened? >> I'm going to take you back to the car you fled from. >> I didn't flee from a car. >> 133 to 124. I'll be around your location. 104. I literally just >> Sorry. >> Hey, I got warrants from last week. >> Well, that I don't know. I didn't realize you' gotten picked up on those. >> Yeah. >> You're still in there. >> You You said what? >> Hey, >> what? >> What did you say? >> Oh, I was talking on the radio. I didn't realize you may have gotten those warrants taken care of. >> Yeah, I said I just got out. What's that? >> I say I just got low. >> Did you? >> Yeah. Damn. What happened here? When they finally cuff Malik, he plays it cool, acting like he's got no [music] clue what's going on. But surveillance footage, eyewitnesses, and a quest card left in the vehicle all point in the same direction. He wasn't just a suspect. He was the guy trying to outsmart everyone. >> You got an idea. We pulled up and he goes, "Damn, what happened here?" >> He left his stuff in the car. There's a phone. His quest cards. He's on the other side. But >> yeah, you're lucky you didn't get yourself killed. >> What are you talking about? You're lucky you didn't kill any little kid either. >> So So >> is that shining red and blue? >> And on top of it, I got your car. Your cards are in the car. >> Hey, >> you like I said, >> hey, that doesn't that doesn't mean I was driving. >> You like I said, that doesn't mean I was playing, >> dude. I saw you. I tried to pull you over when you're doing probably 50 down uh coming to the roundabout. >> Why? >> Yeah, I I got time for you, man. I didn't know if this is a stolen car or not. It could. >> And then I need to know who's going to tow it. Unless we just want to have a toz tow it. >> Wait, break down. >> I'm coming south on State Street by the roundabout by the churches. Okay. >> All right. >> And as I'm coming to the intersection, I see this car just flying down um what it Hamilton flying down Hamilton going west. And he comes to the roundabout and he's almost on two wheels with the roundabout. >> And he just keeps going. He sees me and just goes. So then I go through the roundabout. Light him up. He makes the turn on uh whatever Tyler here and at that point I had the red and blue lights on. He just guns it. I called out the 1080 and then I immediately said I'm going to just continue because he was clearly going about 100 miles an hour and then right as I was, you know, slowing to a descent, I saw him kind of break around this curb and then I saw the I saw the vehicles move in the air. >> So he these kids have been out not too long before that. So, we're lucky that somebody didn't get >> So, I heard there's one stone. >> I'm not going to talk to you about that right now being that you're in custody. Um, >> but if you'd if you'd like to talk to us, >> well, you know, >> go ahead. If you'd like to talk to us, I can certainly we can certainly get your rights read to you before we discuss the case. >> Yeah, it's my it's my friend Adam. His >> dad's only so I can drive it. >> Mollik ends up shooting himself in the foot figuratively. First, he denies everything, then accidentally admits he was behind the wheel. Just like that, he goes from possible suspect to confirmed driver. No setup needed. He does all the work himself. Turn for me. Okay, we're going to go up to this caring car. >> Yep. >> What's that? >> Cuz I'm supposed to go home in 20 minutes. >> Oh, my partner's going to drive you down to the jail. >> His pants like how dirty his pants are. >> Yeah, he clearly I mean he's sweaty. He's clearly been running. He admitted now that Adam told after literally after I told him, "I'm not going to talk to you about Did I ask him any questions?" >> No. >> So, I'm not going to talk to you about the case. If you'd like to, I can review your rights first. >> Well, it's it's my buddy Adam car. His dad uh is out of town, so he let me drive it. >> Okay. Make sure Phil knows that. >> He just admitted the driver's car. So, after I told him not to talk about the he said it's my If you're wondering if it's stolen or not, um it's my friend Adam's dad's car. His dad's uptown. Adam told me he could drive it or told me I could drive it >> or told me I could drive it. >> And then he asked for his stuff back and I said I'm going to be putting it in the evidence. So I don't know if you want to keep the all of his property since he was denying fleeing and it's clearly in there. >> Yep. >> Do you have questions? >> Um well I was just saying like I I wasn't running from him. I was running across the highway cuz I didn't want I didn't want to get hit by a car. >> So as soon as he told me to stop, I stopped and Okay. But that's what he said. He said I ran for him. >> No, no, the plane comes from the vehicle. >> Oh, never said I was driving either. So, just keep going to jail. I just got charges dismissed. >> I just got charges dismissed a couple days ago >> for a stolen vehicle. >> So, today's stories remind us that one reckless moment can change a life forever.
