I don't know how far FD's out. He's been in there for 10 minutes. >> All right, I'm gonna smash the window then. >> I have to cuz she's been stuck in there. >> From a car that burned like hell itself to a home torn apart like a battlefield. >> You're in handcuffs and that means you're under >> No, it is because I don't have the money to pay for this. I don't know that there's going to be a money there. >> Yes, there is. >> Shut up. The same women once called mothers now have cops stepping in just to keep their kids alive. >> No. Relax. Relax. >> No. I want to go back in my car. >> This isn't just guilt. It's the moment when booze and fury crush every last trace of humanity. On August 5th, 2024 in New Jersey, police responded to a car crash. At the scene, they found a woman and her young daughter next to a heavily damaged vehicle. No one expected that behind the crash lay a completely different story. >> What' you have in the room? >> I'm sorry. You >> It was like a What do you call it? >> An animal or >> No, no, no, no, no. I'm I'm not that impression. Uh, >> I got you. What do you call it? A bump or whatever. It was there. You can you can see it over there. >> And then I mean I tried to pull it over and that's what happened. >> Okay. Is she okay? >> Yeah. I mean, yes, she is. >> Hey, how you doing, sweetheart? You okay? >> Yes. >> Any anybody injured? Do you guys need an ambulance or anything? >> No, we don't. I mean, I mean, I don't know. I mean, you hurt at all. >> Yeah, she got she just got scared. That's it. I mean, >> okay. You don't feel any pain anywhere? 15 to 20 minutes. Love your stuff. >> Car doors. >> You just have your insurance as well. >> Insurance? >> Yeah, insurance. >> What kind of >> like progressive Allstate Geico? >> Well, they can be insurance. >> No, no, this is a registration, >> right? >> Yeah, it's what kind of insurance. Man, what did you hit into? >> Car insurance. What do you mean car insurance? Like >> car insurance? >> In order to drive a vehicle, you got to have that, right? >> Right. Yes. >> Do you have like Geico or >> Geico? Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, pull that out. >> No, I'm going to I'm going to give you the the uh >> Could be online. It might be on >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's It's online. Just give me a second. >> We don't need any of that. You can do that. All right. Get all your stuff for the accident and then we'll go into it. >> Yeah. >> I'll get it for you. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Uh not 100% sure. Could be drivable. I don't know. >> The car insurance I'm giving it to you right now. >> What What did you hit? But the I I'm saying you like I'm I'm I'm I was driving and there was something on the road and then there was like a a a bald and that's I I tried to do it. >> You hit something. What did you hit? A tree, a pole. >> There was like a you can you I mean if you you're going to go back and you're going to see it. It's like something. >> Did you hit a telephone pole is what I'm asking. I understand there was >> I understand you had a pothole. No, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. >> But there's a lot of there's a lot of front end damage and that shows me that you hit something. >> Something. It was like a something. >> From her very first statement, she was vague about what caused the crash. Her confusion between the car registration and insurance papers made officers suspect she was under the influence. The extent of the damage didn't match her story, suggesting she was hiding something. The question was, how long could she keep it hidden? >> That's it right there. Right. >> Yes. Can I see that? >> Um, yeah, of course. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Okay. >> Okay. Just sit tight for me. All right. >> Where were you coming from before you picked your daughter up? >> From home. >> Are you home? >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> No, I mean I'm I'm I'm a little bit, you know, confused. I'm I'm sorry. I'm >> okay. It's okay. >> So, what happened? And how did you get off the road? >> There was something on the road and that's the reason why I I I I something >> like what? >> Uh but like like like like a piece of something. I don't know. >> So you don't want EMS? >> You tell me. And I'm going to I'm going to I'm right now I'm going to give you the uh I'm I am a little bit confused because I mean I'm sorry. He become a little bit confused because of whatever happened. But >> okay, so what we have right now is is you got into an accident, right? You said you you swerved out of the road to avoid a pothole >> and you have extreme front end damage. All right. >> Um >> what I'm going to do now is I'm just going to put you through a a series of small tests just to make sure that you're good to drive. Okay. >> Do you understand? >> What do you mean? >> Sorry. Uh, you're okay with her going to the ambulance? That's okay. >> No, I mean, guys, hold on one second. >> Go ahead. Hold on. Sweetie, come here. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. Hold on one second. >> Sweetie, come here. >> Going to the ambulance. >> She's going to go right there to get checked out. She's not going anywhere. >> Checked out. Okay, she's fine. >> Yeah. >> Just uh ju just her. She just >> checked out. She's fine. >> She just complained of shoulder pain. She don't want to go to the hospital, but >> All right. We We'll figure out We're not going to go anywhere, right? >> Not a problem. Of course. Yeah. >> Okay. So, anything to drink today? >> No. >> Nothing to drink? >> No. >> Okay. >> Um, is your car is your car drivable? >> Car? >> Yeah. >> Yes, of course. >> Okay. All right. So, listen. So, just based on the circumstances of how you crashed on the road. >> Mhm. >> Okay. We just want to conduct uh conduct a small series of tests with you just to make sure you're okay to drive. >> Yeah. Would that be okay? >> You can see that I'm okay. >> Okay. >> She agreed to take the tests thinking she could pass. Drunk people always overestimate themselves. Earlier, she even insisted on picking up her son instead of taking her injured daughter to the hospital. Proof that the line between being a mother and being heartless had completely disappeared. >> And I want you to follow this with your eyes and your eyes only. >> Do you understand these instructions? Okay, I need you to stay in that position. Okay. >> Police service report. Keep following with your eyes. Okay. >> One more time. Okay. >> Mhm. >> Fine. She's got a little like friction burn on her arm from the seat belt. >> Uh >> 167 27 over here. Good. >> I mean, if she's not okay, the >> No, no, she feels fine. She said she feels fine. She remembers the whole incident. She said you swerve. >> She said you saw something on the road and you moved swerved out of the way. And >> I got six out of six. >> She seems uh she seems okay. >> I just gave her a nice pack. >> Valid. >> Valid. >> Yeah. >> So, we're going to go over to this driveway to conduct the rest of the testing. Okay. This officer is going to stay with your daughter so she's not by herself. Okay. >> I'm sorry. >> So, we're going to go over there >> to conduct the rest of the testing. Okay. >> Testing what? We have two more tests to conduct to make sure you're >> Oh, other way. Yeah. Right foot in front of your left. >> Good. >> Okay. >> Yep. >> All right. >> And you're going to stay there while he explains. Okay. >> Just just stay like that while I explain the test. Okay. >> Step back a little more. >> Yep. >> So, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps straight out in front of you. Ma'am, can you remain in the position while I explain the test? I didn't know that. I'm sorry. >> Yep. And just >> It was clear she couldn't control her eye movement or balance. The lack of coordination between her conscious effort and her body's reaction showed the unmistakable effects of alcohol. Even when she tried her best, her body kept betraying her and she knew it. >> One. >> Not yet. Ma'am, you're not going to start yet. >> Not yet. >> Okay, >> guys. You're You're >> Ma'am, you have to listen. the the more you listen >> and nine steps forward, nine steps back. Right. >> Okay. He's not Don't explain the test yet. Okay. The faster you listen to him, the faster you can get out of here. >> Get out of here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Here's what I'm going to tell you right now. I need you to look at me. Look at me, please. >> Yeah. >> I need you to listen. If you do not listen one more time, >> I'm Is it going to document as a refusal to do the test? >> Okay. So, again, I need you to put your right foot in front of your left, hands down by your sides. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Freeze up. Can you respond to tenant road >> right there? The cemetery. >> 1 2 3 4. Just give me a moment. >> Go ahead. Take take a minute. >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. >> Do I have to turn around? One. >> Ma'am, please step heel to toe. >> You want me to do >> one leg stand? >> Yep. >> Okay, that's good position. >> Okay, >> feet together, man. Please put your feet together like see how my heels are touching. >> I'm seeing Listen, I can completely understand whatever you're talking about. But you do not understand. >> But you're not you're not performing. >> How how how that's fine. Okay. >> Okay. >> 4646. >> Ma'am, please count out loud. >> You cannot. >> You can't do the test. >> You are You are Hold on. >> Okay. >> 2646. >> 1 2 3 4. >> Ma'am, please count. 1 1 2 100 3 100 familiar with >> Can you say one? >> Her constant interruptions and jumping ahead weren't just from distraction anymore. They showed serious impairment. The calmness she had at first was gone, replaced by confusion and exhaustion. The test was a total failure and the arrest was now inevitable. >> Time. I'm going to ask you to turn around and please place your hands behind your back with your h with your fingers interlocked. >> Yep. Just face that way. >> Ma'am, please interlock your fingers. Put your hands together like you're praying. You can show me driving under the influence of alcohol. >> No. >> All right. I'm going to ma'am. >> Question. My my my son is at the date here. He needs to be picked up. >> Okay. We'll figure out how we can get your son. >> He needs to be picked up. >> Ma'am, I got it. Stop pulling away from me. I am not pulling away. >> Yes, you are. Please return your >> What are you guys talking about? What kind of drinking? What are you talking about? >> Ma'am, I can smell >> alcohol emitting from your breath or your person. >> Okay, it's clear that you've been drinking today. >> You unable to perform the tests and for this reason, we've placed you under arrest for suspicion of DW. There's a room full of toys. She's gonna be very comfortable. >> Where is my >> I called I called over to the daycare. Yes. >> Okay. Your daughter told me where your son goes to daycare. >> Okay. I'm calling over. I'm seeing if somebody can stay late to take care of your son. >> Nobody can stay. >> I If it's the police calling, I bet you they can. Okay. If not, we're going to >> Do you understand? You guys are embarrassing me because >> Do you understand that you put your daughter in danger by driving the way that you are? >> I am driving. Okay. >> Really? Is that why we found the open bottle of vodka in there? >> No, there's no vodka. >> Oh, no. There was no espresso martini in your purse. >> No. >> Oh, no. Okay. You did this to your >> In the end, the woman was arrested and taken to jail where she was given a BAC test. It came back at 0.37%. An extremely high level. The fact that she could still stand and talk suggested she was likely alcohol dependent. She faced multiple charges including owi DWI within 1,000 ft of a school, possession of an open container in a vehicle, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and child endangerment. On March 21st, 2025, she pleaded guilty to OWI and all other charges were dropped. She was fined $790, required to install an ignition interlock device on her car in order to attend a drunk driver resource center program. Do you think that punishment was fair enough to make her learn her lesson? Share your thoughts below so we can discuss it together. So, when alcohol turns motherhood into tragedy, a new generation's resentment carries on. On August 23rd, 2025, police responded to a domestic violence call. When they arrived, they found a young woman being restrained by her own family. But what happened next, no one in that house could have seen coming. for me. >> Put your hands right there. >> Okay, everyone go back on the ground. >> You want to act like that? There we go. >> Stop moving. We got a second. Get up. Come on. Come on. [ __ ] >> Hey, YOU'RE A GROWN ADULT. LET'S GO. >> WHAT DO YOU WANT? >> NO. WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHAT DO YOU WANT? COME ON. >> NO. NO. LET ME GO. >> NOT HAPPENING. LET'S GO. >> What do you want? >> You going to walk only? You going to walk? >> Come on. Stand up. >> I don't get kicked. >> No. Let me go. Let me go. I'm not going. >> It hurts. Stop. STOP. STOP. STOP. IT HURTS. STOP. STOP. >> It hurts. I'M GOING TO BITE YOU. >> NO, you're not. >> You're not GOING TO BITE US. >> THEN STOP. STAY RIGHT HERE. HEY, LISTEN. >> STOP. YOU'RE NOT going to kick either. >> She wasn't just resisting the police. She was fighting to hold on to an illusion of control. The screaming, the tears, the cries of pain weren't out of fear, but manipulation. A desperate attempt to twist the situation in her favor. Yet, the harder she tried, the more she lost herself. >> SIRI, LET GO. >> ARE YOU DONE? >> LET GO. OVER HERE. >> You good? >> LET GO. IT HURTS. >> You're asking me IF IT HURTS. LET GO. >> NOT KICK ME. >> LET GO. LET GO. DUDE, nobody's going to want you. Let go. Find your happiness ANYWHERE ELSE. LET GO. >> Let go. >> LISTEN. HEY, >> STOP. I'M NOT GOING TO LISTEN to you. >> We're not We're not even touching your hair. >> LET GO. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. >> NO. Let go. Let go. Let go. >> Nobodying wants you. LET GO >> UNTIL YOU CALM DOWN. Then we'll let go. >> Don't let me hold you. Just stop touching me. Please stop touching me. Oh my. >> You want to sit down? >> STOP TOUCHING ME. >> SIT DOWN. You don't know what it's like to be touched when you don't want to shut up. Shut up. >> SHUT THE UP BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE I'M TALKING ABOUT. I'm not talking to you. Shut the up. SHUT UP. >> I'M TALKING TO YOU. NOT HIM. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. >> CAN YOU shut up? >> All right. Thank you. >> Shut up. I don't want you talking to me. >> All right. Well, you're under arrest. >> Okay, good for you. >> Her agitation and disrespect revealed a far deeper story. Maybe she grew up in a place without real guidance where emotions always overpowered reason. Even after being restrained, she kept lashing out verbally and physically, fueling the chaos even more. >> Just complied. >> SHUT UP. You >> I blocked it. >> Yeah. >> You're not going to spit on me either. Do you understand that? Oh, I bet you I bet you you understand that >> you're going to sleep so good at night. >> You're not going to spit on us. >> Shut the up. >> You are not leaving this spot, right? Your head's going to stay right not going to spit on us. Understand that? >> You go to sleep at night. I hope you go to sleep at night so good tonight. I hope you go to sleep. I hope you go to sleep so good at night. Tonight. you today. Nobody's >> nobody's going to be the big spoon for you today. >> You >> What is that? >> So you don't spit on us. >> Your guy is tightening my legs. >> Well, he's making sure so you don't get kicked. >> Please speak. >> Yeah, cuz he doesn't want He doesn't want to get kicked. >> No, I'm literally >> I don't want to get kicked. >> Shut up. Okay, >> stop playing. I'm 98°. What am I going to do to your 130 plus? The only reason that we're still touching you is so that you don't hit anybody. >> I'm not going to hit anybody. Stop. Tell me to stop that. >> Okay. Okay. This is me. I have my arm on your shoulder. Okay. >> Please just take it off. >> If I take it off, are you going to stand up? >> Stop. Yes. >> Your name. >> What's your name? >> Okay. You're okay. You're okay. Out of your eyes. >> I told him to stop. I told him to stop and they didn't stop. It's okay. >> Okay. It's out of your eyes. >> All right. >> I told them to stop and it didn't stop. All right. >> Okay. Let's Let's stand up. >> You guys don't understand, bro. You guys don't understand. What more do you What do you want? >> Just be very still so he can loosen it cuz if you move, it'll tighten. >> What do you want? >> I actually admire the officer's decision not to move the patrol car, making her walk down the sidewalk where the neighbors could see everything. Maybe that was the moment she finally realized who truly should feel ashamed and who once loved her unconditionally. >> Okay. Well, that we have to right now. >> I don't consent. >> It's not a consent thing, though. It's because whatever happened with you and I don't know if it was your mom or who. >> Well, if you want to call her, it's not >> We got to go in here for >> No, no. It's not a domestic issue. It's I She I know she doesn't want me to go away and I don't want to go right. >> Okay. Well, we'll go talk to her, but you >> It's not a choice right now. We have >> It is a choice because I'm choosing not to go and I don't want to go. >> I understand. >> No, I don't want to go and and I'm not going. >> Okay. But we have to go in here. We did all these things to help you out. >> No, I'm not going. >> But it's not a choice. >> Dude, I'm not going. >> I understand. >> Because she's making this more harder than it needs to be. >> Well, I'll go talk to her, but right now cuz of all the things, you just got to go in there. >> No, I'm not going. I will stay right here. >> We can't. We have to go in there. >> No, I'm sitting on the edge with him if he if we need to. Can we sit down? Let's just go up there. I'm not sitting there. A chair in there. No. >> No. If we're sitting I'm sitting with you, but down here, but not there. >> We have to go down there. >> No. No. No. No. No. This one's not an option. >> It is. >> I don't I don't want you to get >> Dude, I don't You're going through an I don't want you to get in any trouble for fighting with us. I just want you already there's already trouble enough. I'm sitting. >> You don't have to make it worse. >> Zebra. No, I'm sitting down. >> He'll go in there. No, he'll go over here with you. >> See how there's No, we have to go in here. >> I have to go to the bathroom. I have to go to the bathroom. >> Okay. Well, then let's hurry up and go. >> Not there. Not there. >> This is the only chance we have. >> I will clear up myself. No. Don't. >> We literally will get you there right now. >> No, dude. I don't have to go and I'm not going with you. Let me just Do you have anything on you? >> I'm not going with you. And I don't agree. >> This part's not a choice though. >> It is though. >> It's not because you're in handcuffs and that means you're under >> No, it is because I don't have the money to pay for this item. >> I don't even know that there's going to be a money. >> Yes, there is. And I don't have the money. If she keeps going down this path, she'll never feel the warmth of a real home again. A place filled with laughter at dinner and love built from the simplest things. Only when it's gone do people finally understand that happiness was never guaranteed. >> I'm not asking that. >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't have the money. >> You just have to go to book. >> No. Literally, I don't. You don't even know my name. I keep asking and you won't tell me. >> Please just shut up. Please just listen to me. Well, number one, I don't have the money. Number two, >> we're not talking. We're not asking for any money. >> Go >> because you don't have to pay for this, but I do. And >> there's nothing. There's no issue about money right now. There is no issue about going. Yes, there is. >> There might not be an issue about getting out of out of station. You have to see a judge. A judge is going to determine that. >> And I can't pay for it. Either way, let me go. Don't touch me. >> We're past that point where we have >> Dude, I'm staying at my house. I >> You have two choices. You can go in by yourself or we can put you in there. That's those are your two choices. You don't have other choices. >> I have more than one option. >> Those are the two options. Let's go. >> I have one. >> We don't want you to hit. >> You guys are being so Are you guys literally going against the law? >> No, we're not. >> I'm not I'm not going to put your seat belt. >> No, I'm not going willingly. Let go of me. Just let >> be documentary. It's in our It's in our cameras. >> What are you ging? >> This part we have to do until we figure out what's going on. Okay. >> What more do you want to know? >> I just got here. >> I just got here. So, we got to talk to them. >> I'm not going willingly. I'm >> Do not put your foot there. It's going to get hurt. >> I'm going home, dude. Are you >> Salam? MAKING NOISE DOESN'T MAKE anything different. >> In the end, the young woman was taken to jail and charged with felony domestic violence, assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest. Do you think that punishment was strong enough to give her a second chance at life? From a daughter who never knew how to love her mother to a mother who forgot how to love her child. On a scorching afternoon in Florida, a father accidentally left his one-year-old daughter trapped inside a parked car. The engine was off, the windows were sealed, and the baby had been in there for at least 10 minutes. When officers arrived, every second counted. >> Shut up. Shut up. >> Whose car is it? >> All right. The sheet is it's not on. >> No. >> All right. 145. Your vehicle is not running. They locked the keys in the car. >> How far down is FD? I'm have to smash the window here in a second if FD is not close. >> How long she been in there? >> For about 10 minutes. >> All right. I'm going to smash the window then. >> No. No. I have to cuz she's been stuck in there. I don't know how far FD's out. She's been in there for 10 minutes. >> You don't have a You don't have a >> No, I don't have that. >> I didn't do that on purpose. That key doesn't work. >> What? You do you have a key at all? Outside the car? >> No. Outside the car. Do you have a key? >> She has the key because he put the key in her with her. >> Back window. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN. >> That's what you mean, bro. That's not my father. I was doing this on purpose. I put her in a car seat. >> I was coming on this side to open it and it was locked. >> You You was supposed to have that key on. You never put that on. >> Yeah. >> I must be that, bro. >> All right. Uh, whose parents are you guys both parents? >> Don't do that. >> Give him ID. Yo. >> Amid the heat and suffocating silence, the mother's first instinct was to protect the car window, not her child. The father was at fault, yes, but she made him feel like the villain. So much that he forgot what truly mattered. The child's safety. Accidents happen, but she chose to pour all her anger on him instead of helping. >> All right. What happened, man? All right. I was in the Walmart and the and she told me, "Grab the baby and take her to the car. She's crying too much." So, I came I I opened the door. I put her in the car seat. I mean on the in the car. And then once I placed her, the key was there and I thought I had had in my pocket and I just closed the door and I went around and I started locking. I realized that the key was in the car. >> How long was she in there? >> Like 8 minutes. >> I'm fine. My daughter's fine. Well, we were here looking for the other back. >> And how long was she in there for? >> About 10 minutes. >> 10 minutes. Very sweaty. >> Just sweat. Sorry. Call back if you need us. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. You need to get that glass. >> I recently checked too like to see what was the the status on her case too. >> Yeah. You have two you have two phones. >> Yeah. >> How do you have a phone number? Just disconnect it. >> I'm going to take your money out of your pocket. >> The Dollar General,000 Parkway. >> The father was detained for further investigation. He had made a terrible mistake. But the mother seemed far less concerned. She focused on the car window, lecturing him about his poor choices. Then she refused to let paramedics examine the baby. Clearly, she wasn't making wise decisions either, especially after officers discovered she'd been driving around with her child using fake license plates. >> Registration for the vehicle? >> That's all good. You just when you buy this car, I have >> Okay, but you don't have registration. The vehicle's not registered. I >> you have the wrong tattoo. >> I I know. I'm coming from South Carolina. So, >> okay. But now you're you can go to jail. >> I I know. >> That's That's a trailer tag. Where did you even get this tag from? >> His dad gave it to her. >> You can't you saw the how the bar the decal is cut out. Even that alone is arrestable cuz you're modifying a tag and a sticker. Okay. >> It came from uh we bought it from a guy in Miami. All the tags we got. >> No, the car. >> But what about the tag? The tag. >> Oh, the tag. That's my father's tag. We're just trying to like get through that since we were looking for work. We was trying to like like fight for like ourselves, you know, like >> But you knew that involved in that vehicle to put on there cuz that's the whole issue now. >> Yeah, I know. But that's the problem is that like I said, like we was like getting like close to being homeless. So like we had to move fast to like like with my uncle >> and we had we were trying to get work but >> it seems like we can't find work >> so that we have money to get our insurance you know like things like that. So that's that was the issue. >> We broke like three laws in the course of 30 minutes. >> A fixing it and fixing an improper tact to a vehicle is criminal. Driving a vehicle is not registered to you is or not registered at all is criminal. I have to verify that to make sure that he knows that he's going to tell us that he sold you the vehicle. If he tells us his vehicle is missing right now and it's stolen, you're driving a stolen vehicle, you're going to jail for it. Okay? And then we'll call DC. You have to pick up your kid. >> Okay? You can come. I'm not worried about it. >> Okay? >> You can. >> No one wants an accident, but how people respond to one says everything about who they are. This should have been a moment to come together, but instead she tore him down. The father didn't make excuses. He just told the truth like a man who'd finally learned a painful lesson. >> I wasn't driving. He was driving. He has license for over 6 years. Mine is suspended because I had a Jeep and I didn't pay the insurance. That you can car. I'm not worrying about that. >> Well, you already drove this car. >> I >> You drove it from that parking spot to here. >> We didn't know your license suspended, but we walked you driving. >> Yeah, I drove it because I just got >> So, driving me a car suspend license is a crime as well, just so you know. And you told us that it was suspended with me. You're aware of it. Okay. I'm just being serious. I'm taking the facts, okay? Okay, I'm making everyone aware of everything. Okay, what goes on past this point, I'm looking for the most peaceful resolution to this situation. Okay, I don't feel leaving a kid with DCF alone, but in and of itself, okay, but you need to get your situation fixed. You can't be driving a car with improper tags on it. It can't be a fixing improper tags on it. Okay, so if I can just take him, if his thing is actually a crime right now and he's going to jail, I plan on leaving the kid with you and most likely I'll probably give you excitation or maybe a warning for whatever is over your vehicle. Okay, >> you take them or nothing. >> I'll go over there and take whatever that is. >> All right. Well, I'm sure Deputy Le's going to write some tickets for you guys. I mean, you guys are going to have >> Listen, I told you I'm I told you my best. All I do, right, is find the best looking situations. Okay. Yet again, end of the day, got to do my job, right? So, you're not going to jail. >> Okay? But that tag has to come off that vehic because you guys can't have it on there. Okay? So, I am taking it. that vehicle now no longer no longer has a tag on it, which makes it very noticeable to us as law enforcement. Well, I'm trying to help you. >> I I I'm trying to get up. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Where am I? >> You're at the police department. >> Oh my goodness. Sorry. Sorry. My my other shoe here. I got it. Okay. Ow. That hurt. Ow. That really hurts. I'm so sorry. >> OKAY. NO, >> it really hurts. >> Okay. >> I'm so sorry. >> Let me close. Ow. >> That really hurts. >> Okay. >> I'm so sorry. That really hurt. >> I'm sorry. >> It's fine. It's you. Come on. This way. >> I guess. >> Okay. Right over here. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Right in here. >> Okay. >> All right. Just have a seat. Okay. I'll come talk to you in >> Are you please that hurt? >> Okay. Are you wish so Veronica? >> Mhm. >> Are you willing to take any of the tests that I have to offer? >> Okay. >> Such as >> So one thing is just to make sure that you're not impaired. >> Okay. Are you willing to take those tests? >> Yes. Yes. >> Okay. Let me wait till another officer gets here and we'll test you. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> All right. >> As of right now, it's just going to be a resisting charge for not stepping out of the vehicle when we asked you to. Okay. >> All right. >> Why? Yeah. I >> So, the main the main thing is we got a complaint that you were drinking. Okay. And then you were asleep in the car. >> So, >> well, what does that have to do with anything? >> Well, if you're drinking in a car and you're the vehicle's on, you can't be doing that. Okay. >> The vehicle wasn't on, though. It It was on. >> No. >> Okay. All right. Just give me a bit. We'll be back with the testing. Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. Thank you. >> In the end, the woman was taken to jail and charged with aggravated DUI and resisting an officer. If convicted, she could face jail time, hefty fines, license suspension or revocation, and mandatory enrollment in alcohol rehabilitation programs. Freedom was just one. Yes, away. But pride made the next Karen turn her back on it. On July 19th, 2025, police were called to a Texas roadhouse after a woman visibly drunk began causing a scene and threatening staff. When officers arrived, she still refused to leave. And here's what happened next. >> Here. >> Yeah, I'm going to. If you don't stop and just leave, >> I'm giving you the option of walking away. 54 checkup. >> You as a man, how can you just do that? >> I'm arguing with a >> You're not arguing with me. I'm talking to you. >> You remind me of my grandpa. >> Oh god, don't put me that old. >> I'm only 55. >> Listen, you're intoxicated in public, okay? Causing a problem. That's called disorderly conduct. Okay? They have asked you to leave. If you don't leave when they ask you to leave and I get here and I say you got to leave and you don't leave, that is criminal trespass. You have to go. Who did you come here with? >> I came here by myself. >> Okay. So, how are you getting home? >> I was going to go home with Uber or anything? >> Yeah. She I'm I'm giving her every option I can possibly >> Where do you live at? Around here. >> Do you need a ride home? >> No, I can take an Uber. >> Are you sure? That's great. >> Okay. >> But causing a problem and you're intoxicated, that's called disorderly conduct. >> I'm not intoxicated, >> dear. I have been doing this job for 25 years. >> I bet you have been. >> And I have arrested hundreds of intoxicated people. And I have been intoxicated hundreds of times. You're intoxicated. >> Okay? Trust me. >> Then why? They're probably willing to let you sit on the bench right there while you arrange for your Uber. >> You are intoxicated. Trust me. >> I don't want to touch you. I just want to hit you. So please, >> if you do that, I will put you in prison. >> I know you would. So I will be a bad life for you. >> I'm a very positive person. I don't want to talk to you like this. >> You want to talk to him? He's nice. The officers handled the situation by the book, attempting to deescalate and offer a safe solution instead of jumping straight to an arrest. Their goal was to protect the public and keep her from driving under the influence. But her departure without true understanding showed that this confrontation was far from over. >> I haven't done anything. >> I've tried to explain it to you several times. >> You're just not listening to what I'm saying. >> I'm not interacting with you. I'm betting you blow like a 0.15 >> I don't give a I could put a 0 point8 right >> and what >> you're driving yeah >> I'm not driving >> okay >> that's what you want me to do you want me to drive >> oh no no no >> engine >> I want you to get your Uber and go >> you going to call the Uber and leave or not okay I need you to do that now please >> they're here they're coming >> you already called the Uber Okay. >> Well, you need to get off of Texas Roadhouse property or you're going to have to go to jail. >> They said she sit out here. >> Oh, they said so. Okay, that's fine. >> I'll go confirm it. They said as long as >> she didn't give her a cable right now. She was going to be >> Oh, yeah. I didn't know that. >> Yes. So, that's what happened. And then I went and got one of the other managers. Yes. And she asked her to leave and she like was not buzzing. Okay, >> I'm gonna trespass. She's not allowed to come back. >> Yeah, let's just go with that. >> So, we'll go with that one. >> I'm gonna go with Haley. >> Haley, you are not allowed to come back to this Texas Roadhouse ever again. >> I don't think she's going to remember. >> But I got to say, >> you said what? >> You are not allowed to come back to this Texas Roadhouse ever again. >> What did you call me? >> I thought your cup said Haley, but >> what is my name? >> I have no idea. Why would you call me Haley? >> Because your cup says Haley. >> Haley is not This does not say >> Kayla. >> Kayla, you're not allowed to come back to this Texas Roadhouse ever again. >> That's okay. Applebees is >> Yeah, there you go. Apple be. >> They keep saying they're going to build a Red Lobster. You could go with fish. I mean, you know, there's all kinds of options. The trespass warning issued by the restaurant's manager gave the officers legal grounds to intervene. It was her final chance to walk away freely. All she had to do was provide her ID. The officer tried every lighter approach possible, but she'd rather go to jail than leave quietly. >> That'd make it a whole lot easier if she could just hand me her driver's license. >> Okay. Cuz I really don't want to have to take you to jail. But if you don't tell us who >> mean to jail, >> correct? But if you don't tell us who you are, then I do have to take you to jail. And I really don't want to have to do that. So, can you just tell me what your last name is? >> Tell you anything. >> And you're not going to take me to jail cuz I'm not doing anything. >> Listen, we just need your name so we can add you to the list. >> I need to watch this >> to the trespass. >> You don't have to be here. >> You can't leave right now yet either. >> All right. Come here. Come here. Put your hands behind your back. >> Why? Cuz you're going to jail now. >> You know you want to play these games. We ain't doing this. I don't know you. >> See, we could have >> We could have avoided me. >> All right. Come on. >> Come on. Let's go. >> See, you should have just did what we asked. >> Come on. Come on. Come on. >> Ask them what. What did I do? >> I'm going to take your phone. >> Come on. Walk over to the car. >> I take you to jail. >> We told you at you three times. You come to my house and I called you before. Both of y'all. >> Me. >> No, them. You >> You should have You should have given me your name now. >> You know my name. >> You know my name. >> I don't know who you are. >> I see every day. >> I've never seen you before. >> Have a seat. Have a seat. >> Let's see. >> Serious. Y'all know my name. You know me. What is your name? house a week ago because of >> what? >> Only after being handcuffed did she realize the value of the freedom to walk away she'd been offered. She couldn't accept that her arrest wasn't because of the restaurant, but because she refused to identify herself. Her own stubbornness cost her the one thing she could have easily kept. >> And this is the bottom line. Okay? >> We've asked we asked you to leave. We asked you for your name so we could add you to the trespass list cuz I told you Listen because I told you you were trespassed. When you refuse to give these officers your name, you're obstructing official business. >> They know my name. >> So now you have an obstruction. They they didn't or they would have just wrote it down. So now what you've done is you've given yourself you're giving yourself an obstruction. You guys it's going to be obstructing, right, Miranda? >> Yes. >> And I'm I'm >> Y'all know me. >> Probably doing >> He knows me. Y'all been disorderly. >> I don't know if I'd go with the criminal trespass cuz we never got >> that. You guys were >> What do you think? >> I mean, I'll go with DC, too. That's >> for the Yeah. Okay. >> That's what brought us here. >> And then she obstructed it by not giving you her name >> when you were uh >> Yeah, I think with how drunk she is, she couldn't care for herself anyway. So, >> that's what brought us here is her being disorderly. with her being disorderly and we have a legitimate we have managers from Texas Roadhouse that said >> oh >> but um you know and she refused to give the name because I came out when they told me they want her trespass period >> and they'd already asked her to leave >> and they' already asked her several times to leave. We have an >> We can have Lea do it, but I would like standut. >> Is her seat belt on? >> Yeah. >> I got it. >> Put your seatelt on. >> Why? >> I told you why. >> Move your hand. Sit. Sit normal. All right. We're just going to take a little ride. We just got to buck you. >> Y'all going to get sued. >> Y'all going to get sued for this. >> That's fine. >> I didn't do anything. >> What up? >> You think the cell or put her? >> She's just drunk. She just needs to sleep out. >> Yeah. >> All right. You good while I go check on this girl? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> 98 headquarters. One female starting zero. >> You're taking me to zero. >> Yep. >> Why? >> Cuz you wouldn't listen. You're too drunk. >> Where am I going? >> Jail. >> Huh? >> Jailed. >> Jailed. >> Yep. >> For what? >> I'll tell you as soon as we get in there. Okay. >> You can tell me now. >> Okay. Obstructing official business and DC in talks. >> Well, what was I obstructing? >> Official business. But what kind of official business? >> Um of a a police officer, a law enforcement officer. >> So I can't go home. >> That is Well, in 6 hours you can. >> Are you Are you serious? >> Yeah. I'll let you go home in 6 hours. How's that sound? >> The officer made one last attempt to reason with her, but she responded with threats. At the station, she continued to resist, spiraling into desperation. The harder she fought to escape her troubles, the deeper she fell into the mess she'd created. >> I need to take your handcuffs off so I can take you to jail. And if you kick me, that's going to be additional charges. >> Get a female officer. >> I need to take your hand off. >> I don't feel comfortable with you. >> That's too bad for you cuz we don't even have one. All right. If you kick me, we're going to have >> I want a female officer. Please. You're a male. You're not supposed to be touching me. Please. Look, I'm in the camera. Please. I'm not a female. Please. >> That's too bad for you. >> I You're no male. You're not supposed to be touching me. I'm on camera. I'm here. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hand behind your back. >> I want a female touching me. And you're letting a male off of her. >> Get off my handcuff key. >> I'm not your hand. >> Stand up. >> Not let a male touch me. >> Stand up. >> You're a male. You can't be touching me. >> Face the wall. out here. Stand against the wall. >> You're going to get in trouble for this. >> Okay. Stand against the wall. >> It's against the law to touch me. >> Back to the cruiser. >> Back to the cruiser. >> You know, it's against the law to touch me. >> I didn't say walk backwards. I said go back to the >> backwards or anything. You know, it's against the law to touch me >> or touch me. >> Sit down. >> You know that, right? >> That's great. It's against the law. >> Okay. >> For you to search me. You know that, right? >> All right. >> Okay. >> You supposed to do this. >> 98. I'll be right count. I'm not going to tell you again. That's your last chance. Get out of my car right now. Get out of my car right now. >> I got handcuffs. I got handcuffs on. I'm coming. I'm asking why am I going to jail? Why am I going to jail? >> Bro, you are so mean. Why am I going to jail? >> In the end, the woman was booked into jail and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and later obstruction. She eventually pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and failure to disclose personal information. Her sentence, three days in jail, a $250 fine, and two years of probation. She chose to lose her freedom over a simple no. And the next woman would lose her sanity over a denied boarding pass. On June 9th, 2025, police were called to an airport after a drunk and angry woman verbally assaulted airline staff. When she was denied boarding, she completely lost control. And here's what happened next. I need more units. >> You think you're walking this way? Control. That's a black female right here screaming down the hallway. The torch probably. Hey. Hey. Chill. Chill. Walk over. Hey, come on. What? No. All right. Wait. Don't do that. You're not going to GET OVER HERE. STOP. STOP that way. I'll get it for you. >> Stop. You don't airport. >> Stop. Stop yelling. >> Don't grab on me like that. >> Okay. Why did I get called? >> Okay, we're not doing anything. >> From the very beginning, she refused to follow a single instruction. When officers arrived, her rage simply shifted targets from the airline to law enforcement. That arrogance exposed an inflated ego while the officers kept their composure in the middle of her emotional storm. >> In front of >> What's your name? What's your name? >> Look at all that information. >> What's your name? >> Huh? >> Oh, now you can't talk. But you talking? >> Yeah. >> I didn't do anything. I did not do anything. >> Why are you yelling and everything? Run away from >> Cuz I'm just I'm talking loud like I'm on my phone. Can you tell me a little bit what the CAMERAS ARE WITH ME? all the other rain commercial. >> PUSH ME LIKE THAT. >> Don't push me like that. >> What started as shouting quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The confrontation erupted, forcing officers to act. In the midst of chaos, she began screaming accusations of inappropriate touching, perfectly timed with the height of tension, a desperate attempt to flip the situation in her favor. >> Yes, you do. >> Are you done? >> She's not going to say anything to me. She's just going to come to me my ass. She going to say nothing to me. She's going to put her hand up my ass. Can you tell me what? She's not me. She put her hand on my ass. Yep. I'm done. >> Do not fight us. >> I won't. I WON'T. >> I DON'T LIKE THIS. Come on. California. >> For some people, functioning in normal society is a challenge too great to handle. Her overconfidence quickly turned into arrogance and disaster. If you can't control yourself in public, maybe the safest place to be is at home or somewhere you can get real help. 104747 DO WHY YOU have kids? My question is what do you think what has done to me? That's right. Is the national you think to me was right? This is not what you think. But then I come here. Oh yeah. Now we don't want to report. She didn't realize that every impulsive move was dragging her further from reason. To her, every lawful command sounded like an insult. But in this storm of rage and chaos, only one side stayed calm, and it wasn't her. You stupid dumb. >> Why the would YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME? WHY? Now you can't say straight. Why did you put your hands on me? You hear me? Why did you put your hands on me? Oh, now you ain't had nothing to say. But when you did this [ __ ] it was cool. You know what that song like? It's cool when they do it. It's a fun when I do it. It's cool when you put your hands on me. >> You're disagree. So when we asked you to stop and you refused to stop after several times of trying to ask you, you didn't. So at that point, we have to put our hands on you and force you to stop. Okay? >> If you would have stopped, >> if you would have stopped and let me talk to you and let me explain why I got called to you in order to let you guys off. >> I get that the gate agents are frustrating and they make you mad, but if you would have talked to me and let me talk to you, we wouldn't be here right now. >> We don't have to go there. >> We have to now. We have to now. >> I can't do this [ __ ] I can't keep doing this stupid [ __ ] I forget. >> I want to go home. >> Okay, listen. So you So I got called to a disturbance that I didn't know what was going on, right? But they just pointed down at you and said that it was you and I have to stop you and figure out what's going on. Like I can't just let you go. Like I don't know what happened before I made contact with you. You probably don't like police. A lot of people don't like police and I completely understand why. people actually have a valid reason to not like police, but I I tried to talk to you and you didn't want to talk to me. And I look, I get it. Like, I get if you don't want to talk to police, but if you didn't want to be in this situation, all you had to do was say, "This is what happened. I'm upset." Whatever it was, then it's the case. >> In the end, the woman was taken to jail and charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. If convicted, she faces fines of up to $5,000, probation, or even jail time, especially for assaulting an officer. On July 7th, 2024, police were dispatched to a shopping center parking lot after someone reported two small children left alone in an unlocked car on a scorching hot day. Concerns about their safety were immediate and serious. And here's what happened when officers arrived. >> I flew up. I saw them. I asked if they were all right. They said they were all right. >> Yeah. >> She said she went in for 5 minutes. She can explain if she wants. >> Okay. She, you know, >> I'm just I told her I was irritated. Why the situation? It took me more time to find my car in this big ass parking lot than it did to get my food. >> Okay. >> But did she have to come back? >> She did. Okay. >> Out here for >> maybe 10 minutes. Okay. It wasn't an hour. I wasn't, you know, were the kids like sweating or No, >> he he said he was sweating, but she said they weren't cool. Obviously, >> shorts. We literally just got out the swimming pool. His clothes are still wet. >> Okay. >> Like I'm This is from me being outside. >> Okay. Is there a reason you left him in the car and you didn't take them? And there >> he was asleep. >> The baby was sleeping. He I was like, "Okay." And then I couldn't find a parking spot closer, so I pulled up over there. >> But like they both well said all type of [ __ ] Y'all want me to take my car? You understand? I understand you're upset, but the you know when we get a call in the vehicle, I've worked I've worked in rehabilitation centers. I'm an HST. I'm a DSP. I I got all that. I know. Trust me, I get it. But what I'm telling you is is that it was just cold a few minutes ago. It was breezy as hell and we had just got out the pool. It started raining. So, I was not going to bring him in there with me. And knowing that I had to walk around with him, no, I wasn't. So, yes, I did leave him. Yes, I did leave my windows down. No, I was not lolly gagging nothing like that. I ordered my food. My food, my phone is dead. Otherwise, I was going to show y'all I ordered my food before I even went in. All I had to do is wait in line to pick my food up. Then I It took me longer to find my car. All I kept doing was this cuz this parking lot big as [ __ ] And you see my place from North Dakota. I just moved back out here. >> So I'm not familiar with this mall. I'm not So yes, I'm I'm sorry. You feel me? >> The mother genuinely believed she had done nothing wrong. Or maybe she was just trying hard to convince herself. But instead of jumping in with accusations, the officers let her talk. And as she kept talking, she pretty much dug her own hole. Sometimes saying nothing is the smartest thing you can do. >> Go home after this. We live out here in I would never just sit there and neglect my baby. They all I have looking at me. I'm just the biggest >> 1903. >> Yep. >> What's the >> Y 6065 605 63 whatever. >> She was so like what the this is why I'm saying this one car going to do all this and this is exactly why I was telling her. I'm steady walking past it. It's right there by the front walking circles around it. >> It's right there by the front of the mall. That's why I had to ask the guy and stop asking him. I literally went in there. My phone died. I had to put my phone on the charger. It literally came on cuz they got the fast charger after like not even a whole >> I can see if you do have access. >> Yeah, if you could just >> So, we going to be out here for a while. >> Cuz I ain't got no AC on. >> Who should ask >> where? >> Bathroom 7 over there. >> I don't even know which right there in front of me. >> It's going to be the bathroom over by >> I can see if something was wrong with my kids. Like y'all >> Well, here's here's the issue. >> Like y'all got to remember I'm out here by myself from North Dakota. I have nobody. I have nobody on by yourself with your brother. >> Like like damn, y'all can't understand. Okay. Like I went get some food. I didn't go in there. I didn't go shopping. I didn't do none of that when he left the car. >> Like he was sleep. I was trying to be some mother and let him sleep and stay in his car seat. We just came from swimming. >> She said she was going to come back or >> I ain't never left my baby. I ain't never sat there and just disown my kids. I take her. >> We're not We're not saying you disown them. We're just saying that you abandon them for a while. >> She might not have meant any harm, but ignorance and carelessness can be just as dangerous. Just a few minutes can be all it takes for tragedy to strike. Honestly, she should count her blessings. Those kids are still alive to teach her this lesson. >> This kid could be in Will County by now, >> right? >> That is totally unacceptable on a mother level. >> Right. Okay. Well, let's just hopefully >> And not only did you just leave one, you left two. These kids cannot fend for themselves, >> right? So, I don't see why you're thinking this is no big deal. It's a complete big deal with your actions. >> I'm just frustrated because RIGHT NOW THIS IS THEY'RE ALL I GOT. Y'ALL SITTING here talking about it's not acceptable. Okay, I get that. It wasn't on purpose to sit here and act like I was just completely neglecting my kids. I left him in here with good intention. I was trying to make sure he didn't get sick. Okay, we just got out the pool. You see, I'm still I'm still So, so yes, I DID TRY TO LEAVE MY KID and make sure that I took care of him. If that's neglectful cuz I left them in there in a car and it got high and people think, "Okay, cool. I get it." But y'all sitting here basically trying to You feel me? Like it's making me feel like y'all trying to take my kids. I don't have [ __ ] else but them. So yes, IF I'M WRONG FOR GOING TO GET FOOD, OKAY, I'm adult enough to Right. >> Do you see where the issue is with that, >> right? Well, it didn't take me long. But okay, man. If y'all are like, if that's y'all going to do, I need to call my mom because at this point it's given that y'all trying to snatch my kids >> and that's not I'm really I'm really not okay with that at all. One thing just an innocent act of trying to grab my kids some food and leaving my baby in the car. I am soing sorry. I will never do it again. I've seen people leave their kids in here with windows rolled up all type of [ __ ] Damn near going to die. I left the windows down and everything. Kids, but you can't just leave your kids unattended in a hot vehicle. Maybe to you it wasn't hot, but leaving them for 5 to 10 minutes >> literally was just that neglect in. You see what I'm saying? like it was going to be awesome. We were you not outside when it was raining a couple minutes ago. That's why we left. That's why we left the pool and got in the car and came over here. >> You can't just leave your kids unattended, though. That's That's our point. >> I get what you're saying. I'm not arguing with you. That's what I'm trying to tell you. I get it. What are you going to do from here now? I just need to know. Like, >> they're they're trying to get a time stamp as how long your kids were in the car because they're saying 10 minutes. But instead of owning up to it, the woman got angry, mad at the cops, like they were overreacting. That kind of attitude, it tells you a lot. Chances are this wasn't her first time. And sadly, probably not the last either. >> I'm just going to clarify some questions with you, okay? You said it was about 10 minutes, right? >> Ma'am, I'm not going to sit here lie to you cuz I really honestly >> we just needed I can't listen to me, okay? I have to do a police report regardless. Okay, >> I understand that. I'm not trying to stop y'all from nothing. So, I need I need to ask you some questions and you just have to give me approximate what you think. Okay. Besides you need it for the police. >> Approximately like 10 minutes. That come dog is literally right in there. You take a left and you go like three four stores down and he can even vouch for me. It's >> I just want to clarify that. But you said you were walking circles around it and you couldn't find it. >> Yeah. Like I kept walking past it like the entrance right there JUST CUZ I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT >> That's why I'm just not believing 10 minutes. 10 minutes I would believe you if you went straight there and back. >> I walked in specifically my GPS map before my phone died. It said that it was on level one. So, I walked by the fountain. The fountain is like down. All you got to do is take a straight shot. It wasn't down there. I walked back. Then I asked the lady, the dots lady in the middle of the mall. She's selling ice cream. I asked her, I said, "Ma'am, can you please tell me where Kong Dog is?" I went to Kong Dog, picked up my food. 540, order number 540. Got my stuff, left, came out here, made sure I walked back from that way all the way through the same door cuz I had my trademark. Walked out this door. I was doing like this walking out. I couldn't hear my car. I seen her. I wasn't trying to waste no time. I instantly came right over to her. Boom. She's at my car. So, my car didn't sound off, but I walked out the same door. So, you feel me? Like, it didn't take like No, this part's my biggest [ __ ] So, yes. Automatically, as soon as I came out here, I did this cuz I did not remember exactly spot on where my vehicle was. Yes. >> Understand that it's neglect. No matter how long you left your kids for, you understand that it's that in my head. I don't even understand how I don't I I don't even I would never neglect [ __ ] I won't even use the word neglect at this point cuz this [ __ ] is just like this traumatizing. I even have to deal with this. Like I get it. Thank god my kids was okay. Thank god I wasn't gone and one of the moms that left the windows open, etc., etc. But it >> The officer stayed calm, sorting through the contradictions in her story without turning it into a battle. No sign she meant to hurt her kids, but that doesn't erase the damage. Eventually, she broke down, crying, scared she'd lose her children. The officers gently explained the case would be handed over to DCFS following legal protocol. >> And that is too many things. You cannot leave your kids unattended no matter how long it is. >> I understand that the baby was sleeping and you just wanted to run in there quick, but you can't be doing that. >> I won't do it ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, cuz this is too much. >> So, just so that we're all clear and you're not wondering anything, >> you're technically getting arrested, but we're releasing you >> on scene. It's a class A misdemeanor for endangering the life and health of a child and leaving children under the age of 14 unattended. >> We we we could if we wanted to push the issue as far as we could, we could take you in and then bring the children in too and then have to turn them over to DCFS. We don't see that fit for this situation. We see it as one bad mistake and this is a learning lesson to move forward. So, we're going to give you a piece of paper. That's the same as if you were arrested and brought in. >> And then you have a court date and you can go to court and testify as to why you believe. >> There's no way that that's fine. Okay. Yeah. I'd rather just take that mind for me that you mindowing that this could all happen in a couple minutes for me just going to try to get some food. Mind blowing with kids and yet you leave a 9month-old and a six-year-old. >> I work with adults. I work with crackheads. I work with felons. I work with all that [ __ ] I work with everything. >> This is not about >> I wasn't trying to have my child get sick. I don't think you understand that, but I get it. I get it. I get it. >> And then I just don't want you to be surprised either. As you know, as a mandated reporter, we will have to report this to DCF. >> So, they might come to your house. They might give you a phone call, but unfortunately, that's the result of the situation. >> Um, next month on the 5th at 9:00 a.m. >> Okay. Also, because I'm not taking you in, you got to go in for your uh your fingerprints before the 23rd of next month or this month, I'm sorry. Okay. And it's only Sundays and Tuesdays at that hour. Okay. Can I take your picture? >> Why not? >> She was told to appear in court on August 5th at 9:00 a.m. and get fingerprinted before the 23rd. In the end, she was charged with endangering the life and health of a child. If convicted, she could face up to a $2,500 fine, a year in jail, or probation, and be monitored by child and family services. A single mom who didn't mean to hurt her children, but a few careless minutes put everything at risk. Should the law come down hard? Or should we offer help instead? A child standing all alone in a parking lot. But the real tragedy, it's still unfolding where parents call partying their version of responsibility. A 911 call sent officers racing to the scene. A little boy, maybe 4 years old, wearing nothing but a filthy diaper, wandering in the middle of the street all alone. It was a gut-wrenching sight. And what happened next? It only got worse. >> 911. What's the address to your emergency? What's going on there? >> Um I I'm walking my dog and there's a child. He looks maybe four. He's got a really dirty diaper on. He's just running around. No parents. >> And he's a little boy. Is he black, white, Spanish, Asian? >> He's white. He has blonde hair. His diaper is like down to his knees. Hold on. Come on, Boogie. Stay right here. Okay. I try to grab him cuz I don't want him to get hit by a car. Okay. Which direction did he go from your trailer? >> He went to the right. Hey. Hey, buddy. Hey, buddy. What you doing? You live here? Hey, come here. What's your name? Hey, >> what's up? >> And you live at 15. >> What's the phone number contact you have? Is there a Do you guys have a non-emergency number for the office here? >> Um, >> do you know? >> I don't know. Um, I haven't really called up there. They're not very helpful. The one time I did call them. >> Okay. I can pull it up. >> I'll see if dispatch has something. >> Okay. If he ran from this way, he's just knocked the trash cans over, ran that way. I don't know. If I contact the trailer, >> affirmative to see if they happen or can identify this boy or possibly what trailer he goes belongs to >> there. So I don't and I was like I don't I don't know if he's a missing kid. I better roll away cuz I don't see any parents. >> Can you stay with us for a minute? >> Say stay right here >> please. We're friendly. Do you like the flowers? They're pretty, huh? >> Yeah. >> I love 518. She's advising it goes to 157. >> He belongs to >> 1574. >> Supposedly he belongs to so the boy couldn't say a single word clearly. He just growled and barked like a dog. Officers quickly teamed up with the mobile home park management to track down where he might live. But when they finally found the trailer they suspected was his home, they had no idea what they were about to walk into. >> Yep. Stay away. Bye Tim. Can you call one front door? >> Step out here. >> Is this your son? Yes, it is. Is >> there a reason why he's out here running around? >> Have a seat right here for me. >> Yeah. Is there who all lives here? >> Uh me and my wife and my roommate. >> Okay. Is there a reason why your son is running around in a disgusting diaper? Who knows how long he's been running around right now? >> No, sir. No, sir. >> Okay. Are you high right now? >> No, sir. I'm not really tired. I just really just woke up. >> Okay. What's your last name? >> Uh What's your date of birth? >> It's 4:24. >> 424. What? 1984. >> 84. >> So, is everybody inside still asleep? >> Uh, I think my wife is. Yes. >> Your wife is okay. >> Yes. >> Do you work anywhere? >> I'm sorry. >> Do you work anywhere? >> Yes, I do. >> Were you guys smoking weed last night? >> Uh, no. No, sir. >> Why is all this out here? My wife was I was >> Why are you struggling to answer questions of like your height and weight and your hair color or your eye color >> again? I just I literally just woke up like I'm like groggy. >> How long do you think your son's been out here? I guess he's been running around the neighborhood knocking over trash cans. >> The father stumbled to the door. Groggy like he just woken up from a bender or hadn't slept in days. He had no clue his child was out wandering in the street. That right there is clear-cut neglect. And the worst part, this wasn't the first time. They'd been caught before, which meant the consequences this time were going to be much more serious. >> I have no idea. >> What time do you think it is? >> I have no idea. I don't know where my phone is. Okay. So, do you have any idea why your son's running around out here knocking trash cans over? >> Not supposed to. We all went to bed last night. My roommate was up this morning before he went to work. I thought I didn't know. I thought Brian was up. I haven't been up since last night. >> And what's your date of birth? >> Stop that medication. >> What medication? >> I'm on I've been on it for about a week. I'm just going to have to stop it. >> What's your date of birth? 9:30 1989. >> How tall are you? >> 411. >> Okay. How much do you weigh? >> Do you really need to know that? >> I there just blanks I got to fill in. >> Okay. I can look it up. Uh, >> do you work anywhere? >> I work at Courtyard by Marriott. I work overnights. Did you let the dogs out? >> No. >> Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I just need to check and make sure that I have two dogs in here. >> Yeah, I saw two dogs. You had like a German Shepherd or something and then that tan dog. Yeah. Okay. So, were you smoking marijuana last night? >> Yeah. You leave that. It's out here where kids can get a hold of it. >> Not usually. >> Well, not usually. Is that how much you smoked last night cuz you didn't remember? What time did you guys smoke last night? >> About 9:30, 10. >> Okay, don't go in for right now. Okay. >> Then the mom showed up, but instead of asking about her son, she worried about her weight, her dog, her phone, not one word about her child. And when police stepped inside the trailer, the horror only escalated. With every step deeper into that house, the shock just kept piling on. >> Is there any way I can look at the inside of your trailer? >> Yeah. >> Are your dogs friendly? >> They're friendly, but they sound rough. >> Can you go lock them into a back door or something? Hold on. Hold on. ALL RIGHT. SO, I like went to bed. As you can see, I try to keep most of my stuff up here. Up here or I have another room out of um the way. >> Where's his medication? >> And where's her bedroom at? >> Um he shares with his dad his crib rope. So, we're kind of >> okay >> improvising. I have two girls that only are only here every so often. I don't have any of them. >> Okay. >> Trying to see. >> This is the second time. I can't believe he did it a second time. But I I have somebody watching him cuz before he got out when I was taking a nap, you know, cuz I work overnight. And so I switched everything around um to watch him during the week. >> Wait, you got ducks? >> We have one. Yeah, it's my roommates. I didn't know he left. >> What's the other thing in those? >> Oh my god. >> Is that a dead duck in there? >> Y'all have to >> Yeah. Yeah. I'll um go up that just a little bit. I'll have to >> Sorry, I'm trying to get my way. >> Is this your only bathroom? >> Um no, we have one back here. This is the one that we all use. >> There's marijuana everywhere. >> Yeah, I >> This is Seems like more than just you smoking marijuana. It's all It's within reach of everybody. Marijuana left out where a child could easily grab it. Trash everywhere. And in the bathroom, a dead duck. This boy wasn't just abandoned. He was living in chaos, in addiction, in total breakdown. This wasn't a home. It was a danger zone. >> Girls and I drive like just because the school's over there are ghetto. I drive 35 minutes every morning and then I leave work early to come all the way back. So, you're not going to have any issues with keeping him for a long long I I don't know time frame or anything. I just >> I actually even said like I'm going to if y'all let me take him, I'm going to go buy him a bed and just go rearrange my whole house if he has his own bedroom. So, I just don't want to get into >> What kind of person is Todd then? >> Huh? >> What kind of person is Todd? >> I mean, um, so Todd's the boyfriend. Ryan is the husband. >> They all live here together. Okay. >> And but Todd is like really kind of like uptight, you know what I mean? Like I don't really I don't know. No, I don't talk to him too much. He took over more than the dad did. >> Yeah, he takes care of him. >> Okay. So, are they married? >> Mhm. >> Yep. >> But then >> Todd's >> Todd's a boyfriend. >> Don't get me started on it. Yeah. >> That's why that's why she That's why dad stays with son in one room. I guess that >> you guys are both getting placed on arrest for child neglect. Is it all right if Britney takes the kid? Turn. Put your hands behind your back. Okay. And who is Britney? Do you guys takes Connor? Yeah. Okay. Put the trans on your back for me. >> Give my Let me hold that. >> You going to fill up the other one? >> Oh, give it. You don't want it to go with you. Um, >> so that way you'll have it with you no matter where you go. >> Is there phone numbers if you need phone numbers and stuff out of it? >> Yeah, it's up to you. >> That way whenever you get out of the car with you have keys. >> I was have a seat. >> There's a They Britney needs a car seat, too. Where? Um, >> it's in the car. Tell her the keys are hanging up. >> The keys are hanging up. So, is this your first time? This the first time. >> This is my first time going in there since I got let them get on the lease. as tenants because because I am supposed to like you know this is like a 10-year thing where um I just pay and in 10 years I own it and I can move it off >> and uh they got kicked out of the apartment where they were at off like 10th and so I let them stay here cuz it'd be enough bedrooms for Connor to have his own room and the whole it smells so bad in there and the whole thing I think it's a bear. Put that down. I'll get your and uh it's barely bad in there. The doors are off and there's cereal all over the place. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> And so what? Your aunt to him? >> No. >> After both parents were arrested, temporary custody of the child was given to Britney. The couple was charged with child neglect and sentenced to 7 years of probation set to end on December 13th, 2030. They didn't go to prison, but if they mess up again or break probation terms, they could end up behind bars. Their carelessness nearly cost a child his life. But just down the road, another child found the courage to speak up. And that cry for help kicked off a race against death for the officers who answered the call. While patrolling the area, officers spotted a little boy soaking wet, panicked, waving his hands, begging for help. Through tears, he choked out the words, "My mom had a seizure while driving." And she went into the lake. Without hesitation, officers rushed to the scene. And what they found left everyone holding their breath. >> What's going on? >> She's having a fever. She's so She's in the water. >> Oh, come on. Hop in. I'll bring you over there. >> Hurry. >> Okay, hop in. Come on. >> Is she in there? >> Is somebody in there? Look out, baby. Look out. Is the car unlocked? >> Look in the driver door in the panel. There's a little little blue or black punch in the driver door. >> It's in the driver door. >> Look in the driver door in the panel. I got a window punch. The driver door. >> The driver. The driver door. >> Move. Move. Sorry. >> It's all right. >> She caught a seizure. >> I try to help her. >> Dang it. >> Here. Got a punch here. The boy's quick thinking turned out to be the key that saved her life. By the time police got there, the car was already sinking and the electric locks had failed. The doors couldn't be opened from the outside. There was no other option. They had to smash the windows. Every second was a race against death. got to breathe in again. Okay, she's breathing. >> She is breathing. >> Working with it. >> She's not back conscious yet, but she's breathing again. Okay, >> I'm not going to leave you. Okay, >> mama's breathing again. We got her breathing again. Okay, >> I need you to get together. >> Sorry, I didn't I didn't know what to look for. >> Both of her kids were in the car with her. Thanks for your help, man. >> Where y'all going to be taking her to? Look at me. Come on. I need to get her out of here. >> That's not a good >> They're taking her to Saints. >> I was trying to get the officer right there attention. I didn't see him drowning. But >> once the glass shattered, rescue crews pulled the woman from the vehicle. She was unresponsive, cold to the touch, and looked gone. CPR began right there on the shoreline with a bystander and officers taking turns, fighting not just against time, but against the worst. Then a miracle. She started breathing barely, but it was something that was over there. So I jumped in. I I tried to get her in time like open the door. >> Yeah, the door. tried to get I tried to bust it through, but it started getting deep and I just I just couldn't stand up. >> Y'all did right. Y'all got somebody's attention. >> Yeah, we watched it happen. >> Oh, did y'all? >> Yeah, we made. >> Okay. Where was she coming from? >> I'm sorry. >> The light's blinding me. I'm blind. >> Look how he's fixing to get out. Right. >> They're working on her. What you >> I'll tell the fire department. >> Yeah. >> I was told to bring it to their fire station in West Orange. >> All right. >> She's going to be okay. >> Who's family? >> My mom with my mom. >> No. >> They made you be mad, bro. >> She don't need to ride with her. I'm about I'm going to hold on one second. Okay. >> So, she has an oxygen injury. She's posturing already. Almost like she maybe, but it's it's not good right now. So, is that from lackluster to the brain? So, it's I mean, she's already clenched down. She's posturing. So, that's why she don't need to be in the ambulance. >> Where's the fire department? So they were asking because the supervisor back >> not. >> Okay, here's the deal. When somebody is very very serious like that and they're running hot, they don't like having people in there. Okay. >> What you need to is there you said there's family member coming. >> Yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm >> Are you bringing her to St. Elizabeth? Okay, best thing y'all can do is just go to St. Elizabeth, meet them. >> They're doing everything. She is breathing. >> Okay. >> She's not coherent, >> but she's >> she's moving around. Okay, so she is breathing. >> As medics prepared to transport her, the family was asked to stay back. Not to be cruel, but to give the medical team the room they needed. Officers stayed with the family, calm and steady, reminding them the most important thing right now is to stay strong and let the paramedics do what they're trained to do. >> Right now, okay, then y'all just go over there and be there whatever they need at the hospital. >> I know. >> Yeah, she she's breathing on her own. We when we were doing CPR, we got her breathing on her own again before the ambulance got in. >> Okay. >> So, they didn't have to innovate her there. They got a one of the pump deals to help fill her lungs, >> but she's breathing on her own right now. Okay. >> Oh, yeah. >> The best thing like Trump said, you need to be saying some big prayers for her. Okay. Just pray hard and >> give her all the good thoughts. >> Okay. >> And y'all did I'm so glad y'all got out of that car. Y'all did good. Luckily, I was I I saw Was that your little brother or what? >> Yeah. >> Luckily, I saw him run out in the >> officer attention while I tried to get her. >> Okay. Y'all did good. Luckily, we got her out when we did. Okay. And the big reason why we don't like because I used to work on the ambulance. I worked on the ambulance for eight years. Okay. The reason a lot of times we don't like family riding especially in this type of situation is because you see what we're doing and we're trying to help her and we need to focus all of our energy and our thoughts like we need to focus on her. And if you're there and you're starting to get upset, do you understand what I'm saying? It takes our focus off of it. So that's that's why. Okay. >> So that they can do everything in their power. >> Jerry got their information. Uh, >> just need the witness's information. >> He's got their information. I don't think, unless she dies, maybe. I don't think we need a witness statement. We don't normally take witness statements on crashes. >> Later, the police confirmed what everyone suspected. This wasn't a crime. It was a medical emergency. The seizure was the cause, and no one was at fault. After 4 weeks in the ICU and two more recovering, Jonetta Windbush broke down in tears. Thankful to be alive. thankful for those who jumped in to save her, but more than anything, thankful for her son because he was the one who never gave up.
