Hello Marion County citizens, Sheriff Woods here. >> [music] >> Today, my agriculture detectives arrested these two individuals [music] for abusing horses. Now, they were allegedly running a horse rescue. However, we found [music] starving animals, beautiful horses that had been neglected for quite a while. Stalls that had not been cleaned, and the list goes on. We seized 69 [music] horses in total. Now, unfortunately, some did not survive. I know for many of you right here in horse country, this breaks [music] your heart, and honestly, it makes you mad. Should make everybody mad. But, I promise you, my detectives will continue to go after animal abusers like this, and [music] bring them to justice. I would also like to thank the anonymous tipster that turned us on to this, as [music] well as the few actual horse rescues that helped us and took these horses. If you see something, say [music] something.
