say with a grain of salt she's just going to spend the night down there though it looks like this is her first arrest at least in um and so she's going to spend the night down there and she will get out tomorrow sometime did she have a breathalizer we can't do any of that until we get down to the jail we don't have breathalyzers in our vehicles at so so why am I going to jail then please ask Mom yeah why would she be going to jail then so in the State of Florida you have to be arrested for DUI before you don't ma'am I'm GNA hang up with your mom okay I'm trying to talk to her okay can I speak with her is that okay yeah okay yeah so in the State of Florida the way the law works and this is all case law for State of Florida is I cannot ask someone to take a breath test unless I have arrested them for DUI okay and when it comes to DUI it's it's not just about drinking obviously it can be drinking it can be drugs and those can be legal drugs or illegal drugs that can cause somebody to be impaired um so that being said once we get down to the jail that's when she'll be asked if she's willing to submit to a bread test or in a urine test okay that'll all be down there though that's not something that I can do personally roadside okay did you see any alcohol in her car I can't talk to you about any of the circumstances of the case ma'am I can just explain the process from here on out and then y'all can work all that stuff out later I'm I'm sorry I'm not trying to sound you know mean or or be rude or anything it's just it's just all policy and things I'm really technically not even drugs out there today one of them that is very popular is a drug called katum that a lot of young people take that is um that does not show up on a drug testing screen as far as what I've as far as what I've been told um things change all the time in technology advances and things like that but last that I've understood you know things like katum and some similar drugs that are not been made illegal um those will not pop on a drug testing screen but it they are very impairing substances I'm not saying your daughter is taking katum I don't want you to feel that way I'll let you speak with her okay okay so you just need to be and tr get you as soon we can yeah but like but life sucks I did nothing wrong why did you do this to me I was not even drunk or anything I I literally did yeah I'm more comfortable yeah you'll only be with other females yeah makes me a lot more comfortable I just didn't want any like creepy people doing anything to me if anything happens like that what do I do do does anything bad like that ever happen what's that now like if any people are creepy there and try to like do anything to you what happens like do you get to call anyone like if something's happening to you you should absolutely notify a corrections officer you mean get in touch to get in touch with you guys or someone they're they're going to be close to you and pods and stuff like that you'll be able to just yell out at them be there all night the Corrections Officers yeah yeah they monitor all night long okay they're not going to they're not going to you know leave you unattended to me yeah to sleep so this is so I can't I can't promise you that nothing bad will ever happen to you you know whether that's inside of a jail or outside of a jail you know what I mean just there's there's there's people that do things everywhere okay yeah I know I just don't be hurt right so but I can tell you this is that you're going to be monitored the entire time that you're in here okay they're nice and they will help you yeah the Corrections Officers will help you if something bad is happening okay you just got to ask them
